WHEN you ask anyone what food reminds them of their childhood, they will automatically remember something made by their grandparents or even their parents.

However, for Sunoo, when he talks about any food that reminds him of his childhood, he would instantly remember his best friend.

Y/n has always been an independent child, being that typical child who is praised for being so mature and has high expectations of being an incredible adult.

During elementary school, her parents worked full time and often weren't even able to take her to and from school. Thanks to this, she was kind of forced to mature prematurely, learning to take care of herself quickly.

So, from the age of eight, every single day she was responsible for making her own snack. Of course, for a child she had her limitations, so her mother made lunch.

All the elementary students were enchanted by their independence and had Y/n as the most mature figure in the school, earning daily praise from her classmates.

And this popularity quickly reached the ears of Sunoo, Y/n's childhood best friend. They had known each other since birth, complementing each other and never really being apart from each other for long. Their parents thought this was really cute, so they nurtured this friendship by allowing them to see each other even outside of school.

Sunoo was proud that his best friend was so popular and strong, saying with conviction wherever he went that she was the best friend of all and that he was very lucky to have her. Time passed and Y/n continued to improve her culinary skills and when they were in high school, she knew how to make the most varied foods and was proud of it. One time she even had lunch at her house and invited Sunoo. He swore he had never smiled so much in one day.

Even though she is extremely talented in the kitchen, Sunoo's favorite dish is still the delicious and simple sandwiches she has made since she was little. He felt as if they had a special bond, as if that simple meal strengthened the bonds between Sunoo and Y/n.

And today was no different. Lunch time finally arrived and Sunoo eagerly left the classroom and practically ran down the hall after Y/n. Unfortunately they didn't have many classes together, but at least they had a whole break to talk about anything and everything.

He thoroughly searched the entire length of the school yard, a place where they usually met to eat together, but he couldn't find her anywhere. He inspected the place one last time and went to look in other areas of the school where she was usually located.

Sunoo closes his fists, pressing the sides of the chair where he is sitting. He wanted to hide his anger just to not make Y/n uncomfortable, but it was really hard not to make it obvious.

Who does he think he is? And why is he so close? Did he come to study or take advantage of sweet and affectionate girls?

Despite the anger in his thoughts, he tries to appear as calm as possible.

Sunoo responds sarcastically, almost happy to feel victorious when he sees the anger behind Joonho's eyes.

Taking the sandwiches from inside her cooler bag, Y/n takes out the sandwiches and Sunoo couldn't help but notice that she didn't make one more for Joonho. He smiles victoriously, gratefully taking the sandwich Y/n handed him, delighting in the first bite he took.

Sunoo's breath hitches in his throat when he sees her breaking the sandwich and giving the other half to Joonho. He starts coughing, almost choking, and doesn't miss his opponent's discreet smile.

heeseung sits on the bed as you change out of your jeans into a pair of sweatpants before finally taking the hat off. “did they cut your hair?”

“babe,” jay calls, gesturing for you to walk over to him. “come here.” 

you obey, making your way over the corner of the room. he coaxes you to sit down in the chair in front of the mirror, standing over you. “what are you doing, park?” you tease, looking up at him. 

“i’m gonna be your stylist today.” you raise an eyebrow as he begins pulling out various different hair products. 

“did you get permission for this?” 

“i won’t tell if you don’t.” you stifle a chuckle as jay begins working, manipulating your hair in different directions until it’s styled properly. you focus on his face in the mirror, admiring how he looks when concentrated. his brows furrow slightly as he works. he squints a little, completely focused on your hair. 

you can’t help yourself, waiting for jay to lean down when you press a quick kiss against his cheek. he pauses, looking over at you. “what is it?” 

“nothing,” you smile. “thank you.” 

jay hums, his lips quirking upwards into a small smile of his own. he presses a small peck against your lips before he pulls away again. “anything for my boy.”

instead of responding verbally you stand up, opening the door for him. jake smiles brightly at you, tugging you into a hug. he sits in your chair in front of the camera, greeting engene as you pull up another chair beside him. despite it being your live originally, jake all but takes over as you fall into silence beside him, simply admiring him. you don’t say anything about the blush on his face as he looks over at you. “you’re staring.”

jungwon reaches out to brush a hand through your hair. “i think it looks good.” you smile, grabbing his hand and pressing a kiss against his knuckles. 

“thank you.” you sigh, forcing yourself to stand up. “i’m gonna go to bed.” you press a kiss against his forehead mumbling a quick goodnight before leaving to your shared bedroom. 

when you wake up the next morning, jungwon isn’t in bed. it’s odd to wake up without your boyfriend curled into your arms. you rub your eyes as you sit up, leaving your room. 

jungwon is in the kitchen, helping jay with breakfast. you smile, wrapping your arms around his waist into a hug. “hi baby,” he murmurs. you groan, leaning against his back. he turns the heat down before twisting in your hold to hug you properly. “jay-hyung, can you finish breakfast alone?” 

the older boy nods. “of course. thanks for the help earlier.” 

jungwon smiles, grabbing your hand. “i asked the stylists to drop something off earlier. come on.” 

you let him lead you into the bathroom where he pulls out three bottles. you recognize seeing them in the salon, though you’ve never used it before. “what is it?” 

“it’s supposed to help with bleach damaged hair. you use it like a regular conditioner.” jungwon lets the words trail off, a little embarrassed. “i figured you would like it.” 

you set the bottle down, wrapping him into a quick hug. “thank you.” 

jungwon smiles, relaxing into your arms. “you’re welcome baby.”

it’s night when niki rolls onto his side to look at you. the dorm is quiet. the other’s are gone; either already asleep in their rooms or working late somewhere else. “wanna sneak out?” 

“now?” you roll over to grab your phone, turning it on. “it’s 02:00 in the morning.” 

niki simply shrugs. “i have an idea.” 

you sit up, slipping on your shoes and a coat before grabbing a hat and a mask as you follow niki out of your dorm and into the night. he holds your hand tightly. it’s a luxury. you aren’t given many opportunities to be affectionate. despite the lax social rules around friendship, the possibilities of what could happen if anyone was to find out the true nature of your relationship keeps you from holding his hand wherever you go the way you long to. 

niki leads you along into a convenience store. it shines like a beacon of light in the darkness. he pulls you along to a particular aisle full of hair dye. “what are you thinking, nishimura?” 

he dramatically gasps, placing a hand over his heart. “my last name? ouch.” you roll your eyes at him as he continues looking through the various products. “we’re gonna have matching hair.” 

“you’re gonna dye your hair without telling anyone?” 

“no, you’re going to dye my hair without telling anyone.” you can’t help the laugh that escapes you. niki looks gorgeous, even under the dim convenience store lights. you reach forwards to brush the hair out of his eyes. 

“do you remember how long it took to bleach your hair? and how much they fuss over keeping your highlights blonde?” 

“well, yes, but…” niki pauses, glancing at the dye for a second. “i know you don’t like the color they chose. and i also know that you won’t say anything about it because you don’t want to be a bother. you’ll just silently dislike the way you look for the next few months, or however long it takes before they change it again.” he steps closer to you, reaching up to put a hand on your face. his voice drops as he leans closer. “i love you. i want you to be confident in yourself and the way you look. i know you don’t like breaking the rules. we don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. i just thought this would make you feel better.” 

words fail you. there are a million thoughts running through your head. things you want to say, should say. but the only thing that comes to mind is that you want to kiss him. so you do. you tug his mask down before removing your own to press your lips against his. niki smiles into it, pulling you into another kiss. 

he readjusts his mask as you grab the box before taking his hand into yours once again. he intertwines your fingers, following you to the self checkout section. “how are we gonna rinse the dye out?” 

“i was thinking the bathroom sink.” 

“okay, but if it stains, you’re cleaning it up.” he playfully glares at you. 

“come on, we both know you’re too much of a sap to let me clean it all by myself.” 

he’s right, but you don’t give him the satisfaction of admitting it. instead, you quickly pay, hiding the bag under your jacket as you make your way back to the dorm. “whatever you say, nishimura.”

You went to park with Jungwon. You could see many couples holding hand, or kissing. You wanted to experience the same, but you knew Jungwon was shy to initiate skinship in public.

When you both reached a less crowded area, you held his pinky with your pinky. You could see his ears turning red, but he didn't say anything.

You thought he didn't like it, so you removed your pinky and looked other way. Jungwon understood what happened, then interwined his hand with yours. When you looked at his face, he was all red from blushing and being shy.

❁ Heeseung:

Cooking for him.

Heeseung always appreciated small gestures of love from you. He came to your house after 1 week. You decided to show him how much you missed him, by planning a candle light dinner for him.

You cooked his favorite dishes and got dressed as well. You wore tight fit dress and when he entered your house, he was too stunned and his face slowing turning red.

You noticed that as well and couldn't stop yourself from swooning over his red face. He made sure to tell you how much grateful he is to have you. At this moment, he wanted nothing more than sliding a ring in your finger.

Admiring him.

He was focusing on his work. You were reading your novel. You both were in comfortable silence. You usually got shy in eye contact with Jay, so you rarely got chance to admire his face.

While he was working, you took the chance and started admiring his face. His beautiful eyes, nose, cheeks, visible forhead, his lips (😘), and the way he used his tongue to glisten his lips.

You were too lost in admiring, that you didn't notice that Jay has caught you staring at him. He snapped in front of your face and you came out of your thoughts. Then you noticed the redness of blush he had on his face, looking handsome as ever.

You were out on grocery shopping with your bf Jake, who was following you like a lost puppy. You could feel stares on your back.

So, you faced backwards to see some guys staring at you. Jake also noticed that, he wanted to hold your hand, but couldn't (hands full of bags).

You felt Jake's discomfort, so you kissed him on his cheek. (Not to mention, it was first time you kissed him on cheek). He was literally on cloud 9 with blush evident on his face, ears and neck. You were also blushing, but couldn't stop yourself from cooing.

Holding his face.

You decided to clean your bf's dorm wardrobe. Hoon was helping you as well. You both were too busy to notice how close your faces were. Hoon dropped something, and looked at him.

You both were lost in each other's eyes, when you heard jay coughing at the door. You both came to senses, and Hoon crouched to pick his belt.

When he got up, he didn't notice the self. His head hit the self directly and winced at the pain. You held his face and blew air on his forehead. He couldn't help but blush, seeing you caring so much for him.

❁ Sunoo:

Closeness.

Close proximity was very rare in your relationship with Sunoo. As you both were shy in this scenario. Whenever he gave you kiss (on cheek), you both would keep your eyes close.

You both were having dinner at a nice restaurant. Sunoo was eating pasta (I'm suddenly hungry). There was some sauce on his lips. You asked him to remove it, but he didn't clean it completely.

You searched for some tissues. You left your sit, and went to him. You held his face close to you, and removed the sauce. When he noticed the closeness, he started blushing like red sauce, even though he was eating white sauce pasta.

❁ Ni-Ki:

Cheering for him.

You went to enha's dance studio, to meet Ni-ki. Opening the door, you saw Jay and Sunghoon having a dance battle. You also started cheering for them, along with other members.

After them, next were Ni-ki and Jake. You started cheering loudly for him. Red blush on his ears was getting darker. His heart eyes for you, were visible to everyone.

He tried his best to calm his heart, and paid attention on their battle. After he won, immediately came to you and hugged you. He was happy for having a very supportive partner.

That enhypen reading is crazy 🤯 whoosh. I think it is to be expected for hybe and most K-pop companies to do spiritual work for their idols but it still sounds crazy sjsjsjs it's somehow fitting for Jay and heeseung, the two oldest, to be so aware of that, I really hope is really nothing too bad and it's mostly done to protect their energy. For Jake, I read a birth chart analysis here on Tumblr of him, and it seems he has a lot of good luck in this life, like crazy so maybe that's why he can be so unbothered and happy. I wouldn't be surprised if the betrayals are about opportunities taken away from him and given to other members or even to other groups, bc, I think we all know hybe is messy like that.

For sunghoon, ig it has to do with the way he started to train for bighit, like I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't exactly his decision but more like his family or mom like you are seeing, doesn't mean he has to dislike being an idol now. Same with her mom being so involved, we have seen it before with other idols, if parents want they can be as involved or even help their kids. I have an example, loona's chuu parents used to drive her around for her schedules when the company was giving her zero support, they supported her when she left the company and studied to help her case and even now, are super involved in her career, all in her own words. I don't think it has to be something necessarily bad. Now if maybe he's getting some preferential treatment or opportunities bc of his family that would be unfair, but I don't mind it personally bc he works hard, like go nepotism jsjdjs

Jungwon and ni-ki don't surprise me, because that's the exact vibe they give. This might just be gossip but it was known, thanks to the mhj-hybe scandal(?) that hybe used room salons to attract investors, basically brothels, and no, it doesn't involve the idols or trainees as far as I heard but it still a very disgusting tactic. Maybe if that's true, Jungwon has heard of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if ni-ki and sunoo leave the company after their contracts end. Like I love enhypen and I know they also love aspects of their jobs, like ni-ki lit cried after performing at Tokyo dome,, but the other 5 members seem to have ties or preferential treatment, but, like your reading showed, it's really obvious they don't know what to do with ni-ki and sunoo, specially sunoo.

That's why I really want to use this long comment to please request a career reading for sunoo please please 🥺 he's my bias and I'm so frustrated all the time. For me, he's someone who could do a lot of things well while also giving it his own individuality and charm, like hosting a show, releasing solo music or even acting. But belift does nothing with him it's so frustrating and it's sad to know he realizes that too.

I understand your frustration with Sunoo, I felt frustration with his energy and it is, he has so much talent, but they do nothing with him, and yeah, I have gotten a feeling for a long time that I don't see him lasting long with the group, not as much with Ni-Ki, but I can see that too with his energy, but there is a goal he wants to achieve first, so not sure how long that will take. I don't really think Jay gets great treatment either, he is usually frustrated and disappointed when I read about his career. For Sunghoon, I feel he is a cash cow for his family, yes, Korean parents can be like that, but they are a bit more extreme on it, but that is my perspective on it. No one knows the truth. I will eventually get to Sunoo, not the first week I start my in-depth career reading, but probably after that, so be patient with that, but I will get to him. The fact you're asking about Jungwon first in this situation tells me all I need to know loool. And yes, I suspect it is exactly what you're thinking.

Honestly, a big part of me doesn't want to get into explaining what I think about Jaywon. I'd like to keep doing what I did when I first discovered jikook, and just keep observing while saving my opinions to myself.

But I don't want to leave you with nothing and since someone else is also curious, I'll talk briefly about the guys.

Enhypen is celebrating their 3rd year anniversary this week actually so I've got recent pictures:

They are all such interesting people but I remain somewhat ambivalent about them because they're still very young, there's a few things about them that make Enhypen a very peculiar team, and it leaves me a bit concerned for them so I don't want to push it.

Jungwon for example, is the second youngest member in the group, and he's the leader. Just on paper that's a recipe for a very unusual dynamic. When you add in the fact he's exceptionally intelligent, emotionally and otherwise, has a bit of an ego, and that teasing is his love language, things get even more odd in fantastic ways.

Jay, too, is someone worth studying in my opinion. I don't want to get into it but he's one of the members with the most 'adult' visuals, but he's earnest and kinda childlike, almost painfully so sometimes. Everything from how they met, to how they were trainees before i-Land, what happened while they were at i-Land, and what's happened since they both debuted in Enhypen - each event only confirms the conclusion from the prior event in a way that reinforces their connection with each other. But their personalities in the mix is what makes Jay's relationship with someone like Jungwon feel magnetic, somehow.

It's hard to explain lol. And I'm really not sure either, which is why I'm still quietly watching them.

I wouldn't say jaywon is the same as jikook though. In fact, there's more differences than similarities between them; but the things that are similar are significant in some ways. IMO.

slowburn is just yass! although it hurts sometimes 💀💀 but i’d prefer slowburn over fast paced fics, i don’t really want to be in such a rush with things and i think it’s good to have some time while reading, not having the whole thing happen at once.

if it's written well, sure, but most of the time it feels like the author is just playing with us or trying to get the most out of the fic.

i love slowburn but i also have a bad attention span so it takes forever to read which annoys me sometimes. but i think slowburn is cuter.

Lol Hee and Jake look used to look NOTHING alike but since Hee is always hanging out with Jake, they're picking up each other's habits (and even accent in Heeseung's case lol). But I'm not saying this because it's gonna help you fend off those kids or sth else, but because it'll help you feel better and become stronger for your own good and for your own self, not in order to come across as more strong or more intimidating, but so that you can take better care of yourself💖

And I get you, if you wanna fight them, it's not cringe bc you have every right to defend yourself if they trouble you. I'd suggest going for some strength training. Start off with the basics first, and then you can add some weights etc to your workouts as well. Also, try to incorporate more proteins into your diet if you wanna build up on muscle, but not too much either. Step-by-step and one day at a time is the key💖💖

Edit: Lmao I hope you haven't read this yet, but I forgot to mention like the personalities of the boys lol. Okay so Hee comes off as this really cool guy who amazing at everything, and he is, but only when he's on stage. At other times, he's pretty much a useless clown who's super friendly and will always have your back. Jay can come across as short-tempered, but he just gets done with people's shit too easily lol. He's a very good guy who will always support you if he considers you a friend. Jake is the sweetest angel in the world and is like the nicest and friendliest puppy you'll ever meet. Sunghoon can seem cold but he's just quite shy and super cute. He loves to make grandpa jokes but even when he does that, he comes across as super cool and super chic. Sunoo is the ball of sunshine in enhypen, and he can seem done with the members every once in a while, but he really loves them all. He's super friendly and super nice and always makes everyone feel at home. Jungwon can come across as your typical cute kid who is loved by everyone, but he's so much more. Being a leader at such a young age and he's nailing it. And then there's Ni-Ki, who often seems like older to his age but he's just a kid at the end of the day. He loves pranking the members and teasing them to no end. He has a way with weird food combinations and is always fun to be around.

honestly this whole ranking system is warped, it would make more sense to do like 50% based of votes and 50% based of producers comments, like JUST voting isn’t going to help. I deadass do not care who gets the most votes, i love and adore sunoo, he’s a sweetheart and he's SO talented esp for how little he’s trained, but the fact that he - OR ANYONE ELSE - gets the most votes means nothing, except that some kids on the internet who know nothing (INCLUDING MYSLEF) decided to vote for him because we like him for whatever reason, and there are many reasons to like sunoo but that’s besides the point.

With Jake specifically, i think because he was so popular in like ranking videos especially at the beginning, his stans chose to vote strategically because the aim at that point was to save our faves from elimination and we all basically knew who stayed and who got eliminated and we all p much knew he was save (they’re gonna mass vote next time and he’s gonna get first or second place i can feel it)

oh that's what you meant, yes i heared about this and it hurt my heart since sunoo is my bias in enhypen! however, i don't think it's my place to evaluate and judge the situation, since i don't speak korean so it's hard to know the right translation and meaning behind stuff and also because i don't know the members relationship behind the cameras. there's no way for me to know whether that was actually serious body shaming (which would be dumb to do on cam) or just a friendly joke. i do agree that enhypen should be careful with such comments since it can hurt engenes watching and they may start to feel insecure. i know that an engene tried talking to jake about this on a fancall so let's hope jake talked to the others about this, as of now i don't think it has continued happening (pls correct me if i'm wrong). so for me personally this is a thing of the past and i've forgiven the members and just hope nothing like this will happen again! so yes, i still like enhypen and i will still support them, i also respect people who chose to not support them anymore after that.
