#i'm mostly cringing if nasu wants to frame their bond as romantic tho

Note
I personally hope Nasu wouldn't do Kirsch x Olga because a) it has zero buildup before new OP, while dying, Kirsch remembers his friends and Marisbury, but not Olga/Beast VII, b) Caenis and Ophelia deserves him more, c) Kirsch rejected Alien God since beginning and cared about future of humanity, it would be lame to suddenly change his motivation to "I want to do it for Olga".
I disagree there’s zero build up, even if it pains me to... admit this. I’ve seen twitter speculating about it from Atlantis at latest. If it happens, I hope it happens in a way that doesn’t cancel Kirschtaria’s previous characterisation.
a) Yes, but also “forgets” Daybit among them because Nasu wants to explore that later, you know? It’s not that the writing isn’t already omitting something and someone for spoilers already. The lack of Olga despite how was stressed in the OP for Kirsch over the Crypters and Marisbury is now suspicious.
(In the Crypters Manga, we have the association of “Mash is close to the Doctor” while Kirschtaria at the same time).
(There’s also this: Kirschtaria’s soft smiling face watching Olgamarie explain things, on episode 0. when we know he is mostly serious and leaves a false impression.)
b) I KNOW they do. But Caenis and Ophelia aren’t Nasu’s characters, unlike Olga and Wodime. And Ophelia was called ‘tragic heroine.’ Sigh. You know I stan Wodime/Caenis 4lyfe and Nasu will have to take it from my cold, dead hands.
c) He rejected the God, but it doesn’t mean he rejected Olga. What if he didn’t want her to become like this? He also said the new humanity would search for answers to solve this (the god stuff), so it’s not as if he forgot about the problem, he doesn’t think he can solve it. And ambiguously hinted he hoped the new godlike humans could. It’s kinda weird for someone as caring as Kirschtaria to not care for the fate of any of his acquaintances, you know. He’s too good to neglect Olga, so Nasu must have purposefully avoided addressing the topic directly for a reason. This doesn’t mean their connection is romantic, it could be a pseudo sibling type of affection, but in how the chapters have a focus about doomed love relationships that keep repeating themselves (and part 1 had repeated themes that build up the finale)...I don’t know what to think you know? I hoped Wodime was aro/ace so I’m a little concerned here.
There’s also the issue that despite Kirschtaria’s betrayal and him thinking she would kill him: U Olga... didn’t actually hurt him. She manifested, talked about killing Chaldea and the apostles, devouring the LB, but did she mention hurting Wodime who has just “betrayed” her? Strangely, even after he betrayed her, neither she or the Apostles (who know her wishes) move to hurt him after his tree trick is done. Kirei tries to attack Beryl instead who is declared an enemy of their god.
#fgo asks#lostbelt spoilers#lb spoilers#fgo spoilers#speculation#maybe I'm paranoid#also trying to help olga doesn't take away any of his other motivations#it just adds to him being too good and thinking about others#i'm mostly cringing if nasu wants to frame their bond as romantic tho
