I am thinking of mal du pays on this mal du mfriday
#im always thinking about mdp a little bit but im thinking abt it again bc of one of my posts in drafts that i need to finish writing#the tags for#i'm like. i dont like mal du pays interpreted as its own separate person in a non au context#because that's just not what it is#but i think it's fun to think abt mdp as clawing at the vestiges of personhood through nature of being a thing that thinks and is complex#in a postcanon au sort of way#miserable thang. has to deal with existing while being sapient. family dog that nobody likes#it's important to me. it's not even my postcanon vision its just enrichment for me#i can project so much onto this despairbeast. you can trust me with the despairbeast.
