has anyone here ever ported an HDD to an SSD? i'm gonna order a 2TB SSD tomorrow and if i can just port everything on my 500GB drive to it (no OS, that's on a separate SSD already) without a buncha rigmarole that would be awesome 🙏

#my life #i'm pretty tech literate but this is outside my wheelhouse #also i'm on windows 10 fwiw #also i'm spending like $1k to get the ssd + a new 32" monitor + a mini-freezer for more kitchen space + lotr books #i'm like vibrating with excitement but it's so weird to be spending money when four years ago like #i was so poor that i can't even talk about it without massive trigger warnings lmao #anyway ty if you can share anything about this and i hope everyone is doing well <3 #goodnight
