like i guess for the average person a ballpoint WOULD be more... convenient... i guess??? but. like. come on. cmawn. we live in the modern world, there are specialty pens you can use on planes, there are specialty inks that work well on printer paper, it's fine. fountain pens is more fun

theyre so FUUUNNN PLSSSSS AUSFUSDHFRUJDFHKHFEUIJKFD i LOVE how refined and smooth they feel. i love how expressive you can get with them in terms of colorways and models and inks. i love that you can tinker with them or use them right out of the box depending on your style.

i LOVE the lines they make, how crisp they are. how little pressure you have to use! they're fantastic for people like me with hand pain because you don't have to use Any Pressure to get ink flowing on the page. you can have fun with different nib grinds that make different kinds of lines. you can sketch or line with them. you can write journal pages or essays or doodle silver the hedgehog.

and they're so BEAUTIFUL. just looking at the beautiful piece of art i'm using to make more art just brings me such joy! just using a pen you love is amazing! and if you love a particular pen and care for it well, you never have to throw it away. they're keepsakes, they're pieces of art, they're tools to make MORE art, they're so fun to use.

Yeaaarrrs ago I used to use random photos on Pinterest or something as prompts for creative writing. One time I found a photo of a couple, the guy was in a suit and had his arms wrapped around a woman who was in a skintight dress and heels - and they both had a gun in their hands as they embraced. I started imagining their story from that and it grew from there, and I loved it so much it became the #1 story I would always come back to and refine and I just loved building their world.

As for staying motivated - I definitely flow in and out of it, it’s harder as you get older bc you have less time and energy. But I’ve noticed that whenever I read a new romance book on my kindle that I’m filled with renewed energy to continue my story 😆 romance and crime and drama is just so fuuunnn to read and write 🤪

Really. There was a peacefulness (between the three of us) that flowed easily—so many pleasant moods.

Oh yeahhhh I'm definitely just buying these for fuuunnn. Cause I wanna be able to see out of a specific framed space and have zero peripheral upper or lower vision. And oh boy it's such a delightful adventure when there's water around or an abrubt change of temperature or I need to wear a mask.

I do this alllllll for my personal entertainment you know, not cause I'd be like legally blind or anything without them...

Made the mistake of bringing up that needing glasses is a disability on tiktok and people got real mad.

“You can fix it with glasses” yeah, cuz they’re a disability aid? But like, I still have to pay 160 bucks to use my own fucking eyes?

Like, by definition, if your eyes do not work without aid, you have a disability to see.

Having a disability doesn’t automatically put you in what people consider the “disabled” category, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is in fact, a disability.

Took a break from salmon run to see if anyone has any grizzco stringer tips. It’s fun and overpowered but holy heck it uses a lot of ink and I probably need to be more careful to use it when/where it’s needed instead of spamming it everywhere. Just trying to get a better gauge on when that is in each scenario.
