Please talk about Vernon he’s such an underrated character. So so nuanced and nobody explores his character in depth. He’s just my babygirl whose never done anything wrong 🥺

How I view him:

Incredible. Show-stopping. Award-winning. The songbird of a generation. Very gruff and scary on the surface but that hides his soft, sweetheart personality. A naturally jealous and overprotective guy, I think. He would freak out when he found out about jily because he wanted to protect Lily from an assclown like James. Very driven and hardworking. Worked his was up from a lower class neighbourhood to a good job at his firm. Also a romantic? I feel like he'd be such a hopeless romantic and always yap to Lily about it in their childhood lmao. Really funny, too. Just a silly guy who'd always make people laugh. Incredibly charming, so he was a triple threat of humour, charm, and good looks.

Met the Evanses in his childhood, was childhood sweethearts with Petunia and besties with Lily

If Dudley was a girl, he wanted to name him after Lily (similarly, Lily wanted to have 2 boys to name one after Vernon)

VERY skilled handyman and tradesman. Started his relationship with Petunia by flirting with her when he came over to fix things for her

Would plan the most elaborate and adorable dates for Petunia. It was his fave activity.

Verlily — not a romantic shipper but I LOVE QPR verlily. Them being so close since childhood and the angst that produces PLEASE

Verames — honestly? Not a fan. I think Vernon would've been extremely protective of Lily and would always keep his eyes on James to make sure he isn't fucking up, though, and they could probably bond and make friends

Verjily — QPR verlily with jily is wonderful. Vernon lives with them and they couldn't be happier

Verius — lowk unpopular but... I love it? Someone as carefree and rebellious as Sirius with someone as stuffy and anxious as Vernon? Could they be the next wolfstar?
