okay guys listen. I'm being fr Please listen I'm giggling so bad rn okay. in I think december my sibling was staying with us and sent me an itafushi fic for the two of us to read together. and I had never read any of them specifically but this is supposedly The itafushi fic like super well known and shit, and we got started reading and we were like oh this is cool this is kind of wild this is fun! and we updated flynn after we got through the first few chapters, and I think talked briefly about its reflection so far of our cosplay assignments of me as yuji and them as megumi. cosplaying with your siblings is top tier btw I highly recommend. makes everything funnier. flynn is obviously going to be nobara neither of us could even think of pulling it off like he will.

and Then. they left our apt to stay with their other sister at her place, for the weekend. and we continued reading and thus both simultaneously descended into the most horrifying, dead parallel, completely itafushi first love late spring induced, earth shattering, ridiculously character-binary depressed breakdowns. yujis whole thing and the existential themes/writing style set me off like a motherfucker, and megumis big issue and the two year timeskip ruined them. I held my cat and cried intermittently on the couch on saturday evening for at least an hour before gathering myself to finish it the following morning I'm telling you it was BAD.

when we reunited on monday after they returned to our apt we sat down, went through exactly what the fuck had happened to each of us, and laughed our absolute ASSES off about just. all of it. and still every time I remember it I giggle out fucking loud because while this brand of mental breakdown hits me semi-regularly, it is by far the worst iteration I've literally ever experienced, and not only it was precipitated by itafushi fanfiction, it followed the themes of the fic stupidly closely, and in this was mirrored uncannily in tesla's experience across town. et fucking cetera. just now remembered about it again it just never gets old
