i love following sudden lights on social media, bcos apparently latvians are really into transcribing foreign words and whatnot to fit in with latvian orthography (i guess is the correct term?) so they will take any word or name and make it look latvian. which is all fine and well, like that's how their language works, but it is just really charming whenever i see the band name spelled as "sadenlait"
#i've only seen it a couple of times on their ig stories so tbf it might just be an autocaption thing? maybe??#i'm genuinely on the fence about this one bcos i haven't seen it written like that anywhere else#either way regardless of if it's intentional or just autocaptions it's very cute
