J--Jin, I can't..
Although the wound was fairly repaired, the pain still danced along his entire body. His breathing slow down as he felt himself slowly shift away further from Jin. Dragging himself away from the inventor when she tries to put the dropper in. His energy to even sit up against a wall was no more but gone.
I'm.. really.. tired.. Just.. l--..Le..
His eyes felt themselves at a close as he digs his face into the leaves of october. The beautiful, orange-red atmosphere was now ruined by an ugly black. Sweat formed at his forehead as he tries to speak out more pleads to rest. But nothing came out.
It was silent. Only his harsh yet soft breathing was heard over the crowd panicked screams and worry. Their leader, almost dead on the ground. If he were to die, next october will always be reminded of his death.
He gripped onto his head. Wanting the pain to stop. Just wanting to return to the homey life he had always felt quite fond of. Not the situation where he felt Jin's voice close out like the crowds.

--
Andras hissed at Emily. Wanting to sprint at her for the gun. Considering their strengths, it was obvious that he had the upper hand still. Even if he were to be on the low. He would never accept that he was the one off the throne.
That was when multiple sirens interuppted his mindset. He swiftly turns around, angered.
You don't think that this is--
Officers swarm out like a hive of bees as one slams Andras against a car. His pupils dilate as he struggles against the officer.
Let me go! I am your chief! You can absolutely not treat me like this!
@annintheclouds
Poli wearily sighed out of mere exhaustion arriving at the place. He had injured himself dozens times during a rescue, so why did a self-reflected injury on his hand wear him down so much?
He leans against a pole in the middle of the street, letting him at least relax for a bit. He shudders at the october breeze gently brushing past his metal. It typically never gets cold for him. It.. was really cold now. Even with such a simple gust of air, it still messed with his system.
Andras wasn't here yet.. It felt weird to be one on one like the old times. Painful memories ingrained into his mind as his teacher constantly reprimanded him for his health despite giving it his all.
Lost in own thoughts, he stares into the sky. What was he going to say? What was he going to do?
..And Jin. He felt terrible. He never yells at her like that. He was so angry his voice raised without his command. He wanted to cry. Cry to her.
A figure chuckles in the distance.
Hi, Poli. What seems to be troubling you? You just seem so.. lost there. Has anything gotten onto your mind? I'm your former teacher after all,
Speak of the devil..
Andras grins.
A teacher is supposed to handle a student with care.
Poli doesn't reply. Andras wasn't far off when he said he was lost. His confidence to face him was also long gone, now finding his spirit of his first year stuck in a leader. Pathetic, that's what he was.
Poli rolls his eyes and stares off to the other direction when he opens his mouth.
What do you want?
Now that's no way to speak to me. Did you not want to talk?
Right.. His mind was so dazed, he had forgotten about finally confronting him about his crimes. Even if the plan was made messy on the last minute, he was sure he could let justice rise.
Even when events could take a turn for a drastic change when he leasts expects it. Still unaware of the other figures following after him to ensure his safety.

Fic Title Game; Claws to Your Heart
Claws to Your Heart- Ooh yay this makes me think of one of my favourite dinky little ships that I haven’t talked about nearly enough so we’re going to do that now. Lucien/Andras pre-ACOTAR. ( @pterodactylichexameter understands me in this. and is at least partially to blame for…everything that’s about to follow)
I refuse to call this AU because tbh it’s just like….semi-canon in my brain AND NOTHING CONTRADICTS ME so here we are. Andras is my very gay, very precious wolf son. He is older than Lucien and spends most of his time ‘Very Done With This Smol Fiery Idiot’ (but also feeling fond things for him too) He is quite calm, fairly reserved, unflappable, definitely the dad friend of the Spring Court sentries. Compassionate and loyal with a biiig sense of duty and responsibility….he is just a very good man okay (I love Andras don’t look at me) (also he looks like Jason Momoa in my head which is…never a bad thing) BACKGROUND OVER MOVING ON
The fic would just be lots of little connected snapshots of their relationship - Lucien meeting Andras when he is a very young bean and travels to Spring. The two of them start up a relationship, strictly physical. (ha) that consists of very hot little hook ups every time Lucien is in Spring or Andras is in Autumn (like obviously Tamlin needs an honour guard when visiting the place..Andras is suggesting this out of pure concern for his High Lord it has nothing to do with wanting to bang the hot, loud-mouthed, silver-tongued little princeling there, oh no) Lots of scenes along the lines of Andras sarkily calling Lucien ‘Prince’ and Lucien calling Andras ‘sentry’ and then making out.
This goes on for a little while, it’s very casual, but also very not because it is Intense and they both start feeling some things that they both ignore (Andras is feeling things more so than Lucien but that is likely because Lucien is at the bottom of a deep pit of denial and Andras is slightly more self-aware at this point) There is a brief interruption for Lucien’s whole…lesser faerie mate incident. But then obviously that…works out the way it works out, ahem, and Lucien ends up in Spring. Where he has Andras to kind of sort of take care of him (ie they have very angsty sex a lot of the time and Lucien aggressively represses every emotion that he’s ever had and Andras is just Sad.) But Andras is also a proper friend who actually, truly cares about Lucien’s well-being…so that’s nice.
Lucien and Andras do the whole ‘we’re friends who occasionally have sex with each other there is nothing going on here’ while actually falling in love with one another over the years. Neither of them is ever quite ready to go down the feelings path, Lucien is petrified after what happened to the last person he let himself love and try to be with properly. Andras understands that and is also afraid of changing things and losing what they have and they just…maintain (sorta like moriel but…with more banging…and somehow even more denial??? who knew that was possible?)
The whole Amarantha eye stealing incident takes place and all that angst cranks up another level (this is the kind of fic/ship that just..keeps…getting….sadder. and you don’t know why you keep doing this to yourself but you do because they’re so Good)  Lucien is scared and suffering massive amounts of PTSD and Andras doesn’t know how to help so they kind of do the usual….but maybe with tentative forays into the realm of the emotional but they both just clam up and nope out of that one.
Then the whole curse happens and things get even worse again (I’m really not selling this am I?) because now Andras (and possibly Lucien too) keep going over the wall…with the express reason of getting themselves killed by a human. And Lucien experiences this very confusing surge of frustration and fear every time Andras makes it back because…his High Lord and entire court is cursed…but also this near paralysing relief because he’s here, it wasn’t him, it’s okay, it’s okay which in turn causes even more fear and frustration because I love him, I definitely love him and this is killing me.
Tamlin stops sending the sentries across the wall, unable to bear it and Lucien can breathe for the first time in so long. He never has to watch him leave again. He never has to face losing him again. That shouldn’t bring him the staggering amount of relief that it does but…here he is and he’s slowly, slowly getting less and less afraid of that idea…and the nights that he spends just quietly holding Andras are becoming so precious to him that he’s starting to think to hell with it all…it’s worth the risk.
But time keeps slipping by and the curse is still there. The sentries (Andras foremost among them) urge Tamlin to send them over the wall again but he refuses over and over. Lucien is torn between anger at Andras wanting to risk himself like that and a horrible sense of self-loathing because…deep down he agrees with him. They have to do something, they can’t just sit there waiting for her to win without even trying.
The last year of the curse comes upon them and at last the sentries and Lucien combined manage to convince Tamlin and he starts shifting them and sending them across again. The night before Andras crosses the wall, the night before he dies and everything changes, Lucien does something he’s never done before and asks him to stay. He knows, somehow, that if Andras leaves this time he won’t come back and he can’t stand it.
But they’re out of time and everything about this conversation is coming too late, for both of them. Andras tells him that he has to go, it’s his job, his duty, and that’s always been the one that he he’s had. Lucien states that he’ll go in his stead but Andras, quietly, but firmly, in that way of his, tells him no, it has to be him.
For Bonus Angst (not that we need it) the two of them part on a fight which Lucien regrets for the rest of his life in spite of, and in a lot of ways because of, the letter he finds from Andras later. It only becomes visible in his chambers because of Andras’s death (and this, more than anything else, is what final confirms that awful fact to Lucien. More than Tamlin’s words or Feyre’s presence - this letter seals Lucien’s fate)
The letter is quiet, simple, patient, kind…everything Andras himself was. He doesn’t dress up the facts or sugar-coat anything, he’s simply honest. He tells Lucien how he feels and Lucien can feel the resignation in the words, the gentle acceptance of his fate- that he must die so that Lucien and the others could live- and that that was worth it for him.

Decided to experiment with a thing kind of like what Classics did with Zodac--make two versions of the character into two separate characters (or in one case, three), and then see what kind of roles, dynamics, and stories come out of it.
Since I'm putting these in my alternate continuity folder, expect some minor redesigns of each character and the ramblings of a madwoman.
Okay, here we go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaaand I start off with three King Grayskulls. One's the guy who fought alongside He-Ro and died banishing the Horde. Another is his descendent, a King that used a magic called Havoc to fight the Snake Men, only to fall to corruption and start a line of tyranny throughout the ages in Eternia (which in turn led to Castle Grayskull being magically hidden from the royal family for centuries). And the last one is the Champion that defeated him, and would go on to do more great deeds.
Tumblr media
Here are the two Duncans (plus Andra). One is Man-At-Arms, the other is one of his students. There are quite few technological mishaps that come from the kids, and MAA is doing his best to guide them in their tech endeavors, as well as being a father figure to them like he is with his daughter Teela and others like Prince Adam and Orko.
Pretend that paper has a design on it, lol.
Tumblr media
And other Andra's here too. She's in the Royal Guard with Teela.
Tumblr media
This is totally inspired by that theory of Ram Ma'am being Ram Man's daughter I've seen a few times, and while the CGI show debunks that... shoot, I'm taking that idea and running.
They've got a great relationship, and while Krass'tine is not fond of the palace and its customs, the royal bloodline's track record of tyranny, and worries about her father working for the royals... she is friends with Prince Adam. Hopefully, when he's king, he won't be dragging everyone else into a war.
Tumblr media
Stratos, King of Avion, sees a lot of promise in this young man, who while having been born wingless, still possesses a courageous heart, and once given artificial wings proves to be a talented flyer. Now if he could just temper that ego of his, he could prove to be a worthy successor.
Tumblr media
Frosta has two main concerns: Protecting her kingdom, and protecting her little sister.
Tumblr media
Bow takes this kid under his wing, thinking he's an orphan (which he's not, he ran away from home to join the Great Rebellion).
Tumblr media
Sea Hawk tries his best to be patient with this clown of a cabin boy.
Tumblr media
Wasn't sure what to put as Teela's Sorceress attire, I thought it was pointing to snake, but rereading things, now I'm wondering if I should have done the bird theme...
Oh, well, I think a snake-themed Sorceress is cool, let's move on.
Anyway, this is Teela in the future having chosen her eventual successor, a little orphaned street rat with impressive magic talent.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to give different names to the second designs--I might find some ideas in the Character Guide, it lists some alternate names that some characters have in various canons. It's more for the sake of not getting confused about who we're talking about.
Anyway, that's my ramblings for today. I was just drawing other characters and brainstorming ideas between drawing the AU Orko backstory stuff.
All the questions for whichever origin applies :) (I'm sorry I'm not super familiar with your characters!)
(Rahna) TABRIS:
What was Tabris’ relationship with their family like? (Cyrion, Adaia, Shianni, Soris…)
She doesn’t really remember Adaia all that well(which bothers her more than she admits), She loves her father but wishes he was a little less…. complacent. She and Shianni get along great, they’re fond of the whole teasing-insults-that-sound-real-to-other-people as a means of showing affection with each other. She and Soris get along pretty great(even if he is sort of the reason she’s claustrophobic)
How did Tabris handle being told of their arranged marriage?
She… wasn’t thrilled, but she knows lots of people who have happy marriages even though they were arranged., so she didn’t protest too much. Just rolled her eyes a little at the whole “We don’t wanna seem like troublemakers so don’t mention the weapon training, k?”
How did Tabris react to meeting their betrothed?
Oh, meeting Nelaros definitely made her way more okay with the getting married thing. (She still has the ring. Even years later.) He’s so sweet and seems like such a nice guy, but also doesn’t just take Vaughan’s crap. She was actually looking forward to marrying him before… y’know.
Did Tabris have any knowledge or ideas about the Dalish? Did they believe they were real, or a myth?
She knew vaguely that they existed, but no real details. Did believe they were real, though.
Did Tabris stop to talk with the children playing? If so, how did they handle the children saying they didn’t know any elven heroes?
No, she didn’t, because she was my first time through the Tabris origins and I missed it. >.>
How did Tabris respond to Vaughn harassing the elven women? To he and his men crashing the wedding?
Straight up told him to knock it off and leave them alone//”I’ll kill you if you touch us”//cheered Shianni on when she bottled the bastard
If Tabris was kidnapped, what was their plan before Soris showed up?
Kill everyone in the way and get them all out as unharmed as possible(and then Nola got killed pretty much straight off the bat, which only made her angrier).
Did Tabris kill Vaughn or accept his money? Why?
Oh, bitch, he dead. And it was extra great cuz she got the dual-weapon finishing move where you stab your opponent in the gut and then cut off their head. She was very satisfied.
What was growing up in the alienage like for Tabris? How did they feel about having to leave?
Growing up in the Alienage for Rahna meant a large importance on family, sometimes going hungry bc there wasn’t enough, and a slowly built and reinforced distrust for human nobility(I’m honestly kind of shocked at how fast she and Nate bonded in DAA)
How did Tabris feel about returning to the alienage, and finding slavery?
*KILL BILL SIRENS*
(Trinne) AMELL:
Did Amell have any memories of their life before the Circle? If so, what of? If not, how did they feel about not knowing where they’re from?
OH, yeah. Trinne was eight–almost nine–when the templars took her, so she remembers her parents(she was a Daddy’s Girl, through and through) and her sisters really well. She has lots of memories playing with her sisters, her father teaching her constellations, her mother attempting to tame her hair, etc etc
What was Amell’s relationship with Jowan like? What did they think of the revelation of him being a blood mage?
Oh, best friends isn’t even strong enough. Trinne and Jowan are basically family in every sense but blood(and actually, Modern AU he is her brother via adoption). The single fastest way to make her angry is go after Jowan, whether that be just insults or physically attacking him. And he’s defensive of her right back, she just… needs it less. She beats people up for calling him names, he lies to keep her out of trouble and keeps her from being too impulsive as much as he can. She has mixed feelings about the blood mage reveal, those mixed feelings being AWESOME and WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!?! She’s hurt he lied to her, but she doesn’t view blood magic as being as evil as the Chantry teaches(entropy mage; she’s put a lot of thought into this stuff “Why is THAT bad but not THIS?”, so that didn’t bother her as much.)
How prepared was Amell for their Harrowing?
She was pretty prepared, star pupil and all that. Still just barely managed to figure out Mouse’s game in time.
What was Amell’s reaction to first entering the Fade?
She thought it was pretty neat, if a tad disorienting. Adjusted pretty quickly to the concept of her will making things Real and ran with it.
Did Amell believe in “Mouse?” What did they think of his story?
Of my mages, Trinne’s the most comfortable with her skill level and least self-effacing, so he almost got her with his combo of “Woe is me” and “You’re so powerful and strong, surely you can succeed!”
How did Amell feel about living in the Circle?
Jowan and picking on the templars were the only things that made life bearable. Oh, and books. She loves to read, especially history, so the most common place to find her was the library.
Did Amell favour a particular Fraternity? What did they think about Circle politics in general?
She usually tried to keep out of Circle politics, but if you forced her to picked, she’d probably come down somewhere between Aequitarians and Libertarians, leaning a bit more toward the latter.
How did Amell feel about working with tranquil mages?
She sees Tranquility as being just as much an abomination as anything any demon can do to a mage; stripping them of their free will and turning them into an obedient puppet. She and Jowan would both rather die than be Tranquil, so even after everything goes to hell in the Origins, even when she’s mad and hurt that he lied to her, she’s never, ever sorry she helped him escape that. Not for a second. And she’s not shy about admitting that either.
Did Amell decide to help Jowan and Lily, or did they tell Irving of their plans? Why?
Oh, she helped Jowan and Lily. No arm-twisting or anything required. She did check with Irving that they were really planning to make Jowan Tranquil, got really mad when the reason “Oh, yeah, someone told Greagoir he’s a blood mage” (I mean, he is a blood mage, but she didn’t know that, and the fact they were going to make Jowan Tranquil because of what was to her just hearsay infuriated her), and is therefore extremely defiant about helping them.
How did Amell feel about returning to the Circle, and seeing it in chaos?
It broke her heart and made her want to throw up and if Uldred had still been Uldred instead of a demon’s plaything, she probably would’ve thrown him off the top of the tower and prayed he bounced as many times as possible on the way down.
(Gabriel) ANDRAS (AWAKENING):
What was the warden’s life like prior to joining the order? Under what circumstances did they join?
Gabriel’s family(Parents, him, and younger brother Remy) were servants to one of the more decent chevaliers(I know that’s not saying much. He didn’t beat them, they were fed and had a roof, his sister actually was the one who taught Gabriel to read). Gabriel picked up some moves watching the guards/soldiers spar and practiced in what little free time he had, developed a rogue-influenced warrior fighting style(he’s a berserker/champion/spirit warrior in game). Long, LONG story short, a Grey Warden saw him fighting and was impressed with his skill–even more so upon learning he was essentially self-taught–and Conscripted him,
How did the warden react to being made Warden-Commander and sent to a new country?
Surprised, tbh. He was still a relatively new Warden at the time of the Blight and its aftermath; so he’d expected some with more Warden experience would get command. The new country bit didn’t bother him much; he’s always wanted to travel.
What did the warden say in return to Empress Celene presenting them with new armour, upon their departure?
He doesn’t (I don’t) remember :P
What was the warden’s first impression of Ferelden?
Well, it was raining, so cold, wet, and lots of green and brown
How did the warden handle the negative backlash to their Orlesian nationality?
Honestly, he’s just glad they’re focusing on that rather than calling him “rabbit” and telling him to go make supper.
"Markos we need to go."
He tried to keep the coil of jealousy from his voice, from his eyes. That was the last thing he needed. Sure Cahir and Cirah knew and had promised Enyo was safe and living her life.
But he missed seeing her. He'd taken the first smokehound born to her as an apology after Amarantha fell. But then the war and all of it had spiraled. At least Andras was with her and more than happy to keep him appraised of any developments. She'd ascended to Royal Master Artifcer in the wake of the David Lightstone scandal. She was due to come to Prythian to work with Keir on something.
He had 50 years worth of articles and things to catch up on. He had tried to have her tell him when he came that first time. But she'd brushed it all aside demanding to know if he was okay - if anyone in his family was hurt. She had fussed over him and he'd hated it even more. But his plan was inching ever forward - he continued to wonder how different things would have been had they'd met at the end of the war. If the signs had shown then. Would his father have killed her for being a lesser fae?
Even if she had shed her wings and had wanted no connection to illyaria or Night and Dusk? She had never fully gotten into detail just that the end of the war had made it easy to walk away.
Andras nor her had really even mourned for their aunt or cousin if he remembered correctly. He let out a breath as Markos began to walk toward him.
"You could have simply gone in."
"Trust me I didn't want to babysit you Markos. I'm just surprised you didn't take longer."
Markos shot Caelia a sultry smile.
"I play to win."
Eris rolled his eyes and looked to Caelia, his voice softening.
"You ready? Markos and I won't leave your side the whole night if that's what you wish Cali."
Markos shot him an annoyed look but Eris only waited for Caelia to reply. She'd brought their home some warmth after his brothers' deaths and Lucien's departure.
Besides she was refreshingly candid about a lot of things. It's probably why Eris and his brothers had taken to her so quickly. She fit in as if she'd been born for Autumn.
Eris for all his annoyance at Markos was glad for Caelia. He'd been so quiet after everything happened. Markos had been the fun one, the wild one. The one that their father had been most fond of. But after Markos had been jumpy and never spent any time alone with their father if he could help it.
Caelia had brought his irritating brother back - for that Eris was eternally grateful.
She felt the tremble in her hands still and she looked up at him smiling as he kissed her. Markos bit back a laugh as she nipped at his lips coaxing a few more kisses from him - harlot.
"Remind me again of my reward?"
Markos squeezed her hand three times. Three was a lucky number to them. They'd met twice before the third when they'd married. It had to mean something.
"I am at your beck and call at our retreat next week and we are going to do whatever you want for the first week."
Honestly he would have happily done it anywhere and she knew that. But neither of them wanted to be with Rhysand and his court of sycophants. But his father had insisted they come with Eris so here they were.
He tugged her closer ignoring the glare Eris shot him a few feet away. He didn't need to wait for them, but it wouldn't look good if they trailed him.
His voice low in her ear.
"And what's my reward for behaving tonight my moth? Remind me?"
//For Caelia!!!//
If she honestly, had it her way, they would have been far from this court and somewhere which was just the two of them. She did not practically enjoy being home, she didn’t enjoy being close to her own family who were more strangers than the new family she had.
Autumn accepted her, they took her as their own and helped prepare her and change her for the better. They helped her find her footing, they let her be herself and allowed her to be happy. They were her family; they were the ones she would always consider so.
Caelia laughed softly, her gaze lingering upon Eris as she noted the way he glared at them. His words in her ear caused her eyes to return to him, her hand rose to gently touch his cheek. For a moment the tremble stopped, if only because she was focused solely on him. Her eyes shone brightly as she considered his question, what reward did he deserve for behaving so nicely that night.
“Hmm, well I was thinking that you could enjoy my body any way you like.” She nipped at his lower lip again, grinning before she pulled away from him. “But only if you behave.”
