there’s few ship dynamics I dislike more than a pair-the-spares 

like two chars that didn’t end up with either the object of their unrequited affection or just didn’t end up with any char therefore obviously they’re “unhappy” or what the fuck ever cause what’s a char arc? romance is clearly the only real happy ending as we all learned from naruto and bleach gotta have them babies! have these chars ever even held a single conversation together? who cares they’re both hot and single and sad so therefore we ignore other chars they have actual story with and write 1000+ fics and overtake the tags even tho these are basically ocs now
