I whine like a cornered animal. So... this is what a real life horror movie feels like. NEAT. I hate it! I watch, probably shaking, as Skull-sama casually drags out his phone. Glances down at it. Then over his shoulder at me. He doesn't even fully turn his head. Just one Cloud flame purple eye that seems to light up from within.

He's a happy go lucky guy. Cool dude. But like all Clouds? Fucking HATES cages. Being or SEEING other imprisoned. Trapped. Cornered and forced to do something against their will. And as the planet's STRONGEST Cloud?

He's always had exactly zero problems telling Reborn to fuck off to his face. Even when it gets him shot at. Everyone knew that.

"Sempai! Calling the GREAT Skull De Mort just to CHAT~♡? I KNEW you loved me BESTEST!" He PROJECTS into the phone, his speaking cadence shifting.

He'd been gregarious, bombastic even, the whole time I'd been on board. The sort of guy you can't help but want to buy street food with and check out some weird local sight you heard about. The guy that turns an event into a PARTY. A get together into a memory you TREASURE. Larger then life and unashamedly so.

But this? THIS was the SHOWMAN.

And this was the Showman being Obnoxious and MEAN.

Loud, intentionally grating voice. No break in the endless flood of mind numbing chatter that went no where. Bellowing cackling that even the best of speakers would be hard pressed to handle. Standing near machines and windows so the background noise garbled EVERYTHING.

Let no one say Clouds are not PETTY.

"Hmmmmm~? Your WHAT? Sempai! Don't be SILLY! You can't OWN people! That's SLAVERY! It's against~...!" He turned, leaning like a rock star of old against some navigation compartment. Casually examining his nails with a MEAN and wolfish smile on his face. "Waaaaa! Don't be maaad~ Don't be MAAAAAD~!! You know I'd NEVER lie to YOU, Sempai! I'd never DARE! I promise I'll keep a look out, m'kay? What? Don't hang up? Sorry! Can-KRRRRSHK! n't quite KKKKKRRRRRSK! Heeeeear yoooouuuuu~���!"

He casually tossed his phone to one of his men. Ignored it even as it rang and rang. With an excited clap of his hand, he hopped up, out of his loose legged splay to stride over. According to him? We should eat! Have I had Burmese food? It's delicious! One of his guys just got "into" the whole cooking thing! So everyone is being supportive!

I can't help but laugh. Everyone politely ignores how wet it is, as Skull-sama throws an arm over my shoulders and drags me from the cockpit.

I know I'm not safe. But for now? Fuck it. Good enough. Maybe Skull-sama knows someplace Reborn might not IMMEDIATELY find me. And who knows? When this all blows over? Maybe I should join up with his crew. Reborn can't be THAT obsessed. Right? It was just the initial harmony high. With no Sky to actually bind us, he'll lose interest.

emily was less than happy to be spending valentine’s day at the bau.

she supposed it was better than being off on a case in another state, but the desire to be with you gnawed at her heart. 

valentine’s day has always been a special holiday for you and emily. you hadn’t started dating much before and it was your first official holiday together in your new relationship. now, years later, you loved an entire day dedicated to love. 

you awoke that morning with your stomach pressed to emily’s back. her alarm hadn’t gone off yet. you savored these early morning moments. 

the blaring from your bedside clock finally broke emily out of her sleep. you nuzzled further into her back as she reached over to turn it off. “good morning, baby.”

“good morning. happy valentines day.”

she echoed your phrase and settled back down. “one of the many days i truly dread going into work.”

“let me drive you in today,” you offer in your sleepy state. 

emily rolls over so you’re finally face to face. “any particular reason?”

the corners of your lips upturn slightly. “just want to spend as much time with you as possible.”

it’s not necessarily a lie, but you do have something planned. the two of you get ready for the day to the sound of vinyl playing through your apartment. sleepy kisses and love exchanged as you brushed your teeth and got dressed.

she slipped out of the car with one final kiss and you were off to plan your day.

you returned back to quantico right at five like promised. 

emily ignored the teasing comments of her team as they exited the building behind her and watched her make her way over to you. 

you took your first surprise out from where it sat on the hood of your car behind you when shw was close enough. emily blushed heavily when she saw the bouquet in your grasp, raising both of her hands up to her face to hide her smile. 

when emily finally takes the flowers, she brings them up to her nose, still smiling. “you didn’t have to do this.”

“it’s valentine’s day, em. let me spoil you.” you pull her into you to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

“you’re too good to me,” emily protests.

“i love you and i'm simply showing that today.” 

“i have something for you too, you know,” she adds. “it’s just at home.”

as much as you and emily mutually loved to spoil each other, the shyness of giving and receiving gifts on any occasion still made you both shy. 

“we might want to get going,” you start. emily raises an eyebrow. “we have dinner reservations at seven”

“you said we were staying in this year!”

you shrug, biting your lip to hide your smile. “surprise?”

emily hugs you again. “i love love love you.” she repeats the words three times as if you put emphasis on her emotions.

you reach down to bring the back of her hand to your mouth to kiss her ringed finger. 

“happy valentines day, em.”

she beamed, leaning forward to finally press your lips together.

HONESTLY- I miss him so much- I’m at the point where I’m starting to imagine Hyde in every scenario- like, imagine if ito and rachel are playing dress up and all of a sudden hyde’s there complimenting Ito’s kimono? or if rachel and jasper get to talk and BOOM hydes cheering them on? or if at this little party… jekyll keels over and starts transforming?

which brings me to my next point… nobody said hyde was *done*. so the exhibitions over, he got some well needed rest, so what? hydes still there, ruining his unconscious and intent on taking him down. plus, the chapter art!! gosh I miss him ;-; part of me hopes that this story gets to be similar to the book (where he starts transforming without the potion), and while I’d feel bad for jekyll, that would be sooo cool xD i miss hyde lolol ive been separated from my fav boyo for too long xD
