You and Miguel met each other on a normal day. Usually when you meet someone new nothing very extraordinary really happens but your encounter with him was so uncommon it felt like it was staged.

Still wearing your usual blue scrubs, holding a well needed coffee after a 16 hour shift, you were on your way out of your workplace. You went to violently open the entry door of the hospital,  but you hadn't noticed Miguel on the other side. So when you slammed it open the door stopped abruptly making your nose knock right into it.

Your coffee dropped from your hand right onto the white tiled floor.

“Shit!” You yelled, your now unoccupied hand came up to your face to hold your nose in pain.

“Dios mío, are you okay? I'm so sorry” He finally came around the door. His body was towering over yours and his gentle eyes observed you in pure concern.

“Do I look okay?” tears had welled in your eyes involuntary because of the impact.

“Not really…” he admitted, not sure what more to say.

“Of course I don't! im dirty, i smell and now I have a swelling nose” your salty tears were now rolling down your cheeks. This accident was your last straw.

“Would it make you feel better if we went to the coffee shop around the corner? it would be better than that cold hospital coffee you had” he eyed the brown liquid now dripping into a bigger puddle and then lifted his gaze to yours. 

“I- sure” you wiped away your crocodile tears and passed him to finally go outside the building. You couldn't stay one more second inside that place.

That night you and Miguel had coffee, and a pastry he begged you to taste, but you also shared numbers.

You guys ended up calling the next day to meet again, and the day after that and the next one. Which led your friendship here.

Almost two years later after he proposed you a job, you were now a nurse at HQ. He had seen how bad your work conditions were at your old job and couldn't live with knowing you were treated badly at work. Now, he was your boss and Miguel would always make sure you were comfortable and happy, especially after you learned about him being spider man and the entire multiverse. Nothing could stop him from doing so and you knew he would never let you down.

“Lyla, could you tell Peter I've gotten Mayday’s report back and tell him she only has the flu. Nothing to worry about '' you call out to the AI. Even though she wasn't physically present she had ears everywhere in the headquarters in case a spider person needed her help.

“Consider it done!” She appeared out of thin air and talked in a bubbly manner. But that wasn't unusual for her. Lyla was always cheerful.

“Also, Miguel is on his way” she added before disappearing and you couldn't even react to her statement before Miguel came through the door out of breath, as if he had been running a marathon.

You watched as he made his way into the medical bed, he groaned and shifted trying to find a comfortable way to lay down.

“How many times do i have to tell you to be careful during your missions, almost seems like you do it on purpose” you sighed before gathering your equipment to treat all of his injuries.

His hologram spider suit disappeared and you noticed the large bruises forming along his chest. Your eyes examined the rest of his body and you frowned seeing the various other scars and cuts.

“i thought it was the Rhino anomaly again” You said, genuinely concerned about his health.

“it was” Miguel’s eyes avoid yours.

“How come you're so banged up then? You've dealt with the rhino anomaly hundreds of times. You know how to get rid of it” You said in a scolding tone.

“I know” he kept his eyes low.

“what happened?” you said now lowering your tone.

“you were right” his eyes finally found yours. 

“About what?” you asked, confused,

“I did it on purpose,” he admitted and something in you snapped.

“What the hell! Why would you do that? You could've gotten seriously hurt” you were angry and sad at his confession.

“I knew I wouldn't have gotten hurt badly, I knew what I was doing ok?” He tried reassuring you but he failed miserably. You couldn't understand why he would do this to himself. You couldn't stand to see him hurt.

Your hands worked on his injuries furiously but still gently enough not to hurt him anymore. He tried explaining but you were not letting him.

“y/n stop please. Let me explain, caríno” he grabbed your hands to stop any of your movement and you sighed, accepting to finally let him speak.

“Ever since Iost Gabriella i never allowed myself to love anyone else, but when i met you i knew instantly that i could not resist you. I tried countless times to ask you out and express how I felt but everything I did felt wrong. The only way I managed to see you and talk to you was when I got hurt during missions” he sat up in the bed as his hand squeezed yours but you couldn't bring yourself to look up at him.

“So you thought the best idea was to get hurt purposely to be able to be near me?” you spoke lowly.

“yes, i know it was a bad idea-”

“It was the baddest idea Miguel! I thought you knew i loved you” you slapped your hand on your forehead.

“wait what? you love me?” he genuinely asked.

“Of course I do, you big idiot, you didn't notice all the times I looked at you? or all the times I wanted to be around you?”

“Now that you mention it-” his cockiness makes you grab the nearest pillow and slap it on his head.

“Okay, Okay I'm sorry!” you both laughed.

“So you're telling me I was getting hurt on purpose to get your attention all this time for nothing?” he smiled and you almost melted on the spot but you still nodded. 

Slowly he leaned in and placed his lips against yours. He lingered there for a moment like he was asking for permission, silently, and then he placed a delicate kiss on your soft lips. 

It was slow but passionate and in this very moment you never felt more happy.

“You're telling me I could have been kissing those pretty lips all this time too?” you giggled, nodded and pressed another kiss to his lips.

They really gave us beautiful-woman-in-tight-suit and when it fit the narrative it was "btw her head can open up and this is her actual vision". Honestly? I agree with you -- it's like they had it in the first 3 episodes, and then just lightly touched on it after -- again, 10 episodes is not enough time with a story with such big ideas.

There's so much they could have done more than the visual of Seven not having her implants anymore. Seven was fully Human -- not just visually Human.

This means a lot of changes to Seven, not just intellectually. She had a visual acuity of 99.3% or something. She could see temporal changes. Her vision had a green filter.

The fact that she's not bowled over at seeing full color the whole time, like people who were color blind and seeing the full spectrum of color the first time is frankly astonishing.

Seven, being frustrated at not being as strong, being amazed she doesn't hear anything more than the ordinary person.

And she doesn't have steel running through her bones, which means she is also physically lighter.

She should find trade-offs to being fully Human. She finds that she loves it but also realizes she kind of hates it too and misses some of the things her implants gave her.

But the show is called Picard and at the end of the day, they will prioritize the time and scene-stopping moments when Picard has to hallucinate about his dead mother. (Sorry, I'm salty about the middle part so much).

lovecanbesostrange: with her as the center character again, we could maybe find some odd curiosities about her day to day behavior. Like everything you mention here. Including the standing for example. || I was actually more interested in the Romulans and the Borg separately than anything to do with the main AI storyline. Everything was way too big in PIC (which is also why I don't enjoy lots of stuff in DSC; make it smaller!).

This is where I trust in Terry Matalas, I know Terry from 12 Monkeys, and I trust he would handle Seven's story well. I also tracked what he said he wanted to do if given the chance to run with a new show -- and that he would love to go back to episodic storylines with some linking arcs.

Terry also likes writing about characters who carry a lot of guilt for what they've done in the past and complicated and messy characters who, in the end, are trying to do the best they can, which is something Seven fits to a tee.

(If you haven't seen 12 Monkeys yet, I highly recommend it! 4 seasons of great sci-fi time travel TV! And Jones is really very much influenced by Janeway!)

But my dearest wish is for the possible show to have Seven falling in love with Science again. I missed her doing science. I miss her turning up in a Jeffries tube unexpectedly doing repairs because it calms her down.

I miss her popping into an Astrometrics lab just to watch the stars.

I love warrior!Seven, but being a warrior is not just all who Seven is. She's a scientist, an engineer. She wanted to put star charts up on her wall because they pleased her aesthetically.

Seven was the unofficial Science Officer of Voyager. I hope we get that reflected, I hope in the pinning ceremony, Janeway quizzes her on all things science just like that one Admiral did to Janeway in Relativity.

I'm honestly just gonna come out and say it, and I don't mean to dismiss anyone who disagrees with me (with some exceptions, but I know those people don't follow me, even have me blocked).

But I've despised and been deeply disappointed with the Revolver event in Duel Links. So deeply that I doubt I will ever pick up the app again.

Keeping rant under read-more.

While there were things that I genuinely enjoyed, like the music during Rev's duels, hearing Shunsuke-san again, Rev's beautiful sprite and receive a lot of goodies (like gorgeous sleeves and icons ♥), there were a lot of things I actively disliked, and those were too many to save this event and make it the funny experience I'd hoped for ever since VRAINS world was released (even announced, let's be real).

The writing felt off from the start, with a lot of things that were strange, especially since the story of VRAINS world has been marketed as a follow-up of the anime, a s4 we never got (or just second half of s3). A follow-up for me meant Revolver would take off where he ended: guarding the network and make sure everyone stayed safe, actively stopping something like the Lost Incident to ever happen again.

Seems like the writers, as well as the localisation team, had forgotten all that and instead went with Revolver's s1 persona, once again making him the antagonist that needed to be defeated to protect the Ignis (or well, just Ai). Not only that, they also took away any kind of character development Revolver went through during the last half of the anime. Something that was only made worse by the localisation team, who amongst many things made the deliberate choice of changing lots of Playmaker's dialogues about saving Revolver to be about Ai instead, as well as changing LOTS of Revolver's dialogues over all.

Another example of a thing that deeply pissed me off and completely crushed me with disappointment was the reference to the rain duel between Revolver and Soulburner. The writers wrote it as it never happened, while also simultaneously saying it did, in fact, happen, as they told the two variations paralleled with each other. Then they had it ended with what seems to be the shitty dub-dialogue (let's stop pretending it ever was a dub, it was nothing but a parody) and no conclusion for either of the characters. And I'm sorry, but what in the actual hell?!

They've created nothing but plot holes that won't be easy to fill in the future, telling a story that is such a disservice to Revolver's character while also not portraying him properly, not even in the original Japanese versions (I've seen so many Japanese and Korean fans being confused about this event as well, some even going as far as outright saying "I'm glad I still like him despite this"). The fact that there are people out there judging Revolver's character and actions based on this event is disgusting, and once again makes me say that you're all free to hate him as much as you want but this isn't even Revolver, you're hating a version of him that didn't exist in later canon. Calling it post-canon is an insult.

Even worse, all the other characters have felt like post-canon versions, with at the very least decent writing, yet it still making some sort of sense.

I saw nothing of that here, and I'll be forever salty about them messing it up so badly. You can use his second avatar as much as you want; if you deliberately keep him stuck in the season 1 mindset and actively ignores that s2 and s3 (except the last duel between Ai and Playmaker, as well as bits and pieces of the last duel between Revolver and Soulburner) happened, you're not giving Revolver a post-canon story. You're making up an antagonist to fit your purposes and only uses Revolver's face for it. And that's such a disservice to his character and I'll never forgive the team who worked on this event (except Shunsuke-san and the music composer, they did an amazing job ♥).

I still finished the event completely as well as maxed Rev's level (something I haven't done since DM and maxed up Yuugi), only because I love him. But the sadness I feel about all this can't be ignored.

Again, I doubt I'll ever pick up Duel Links again after this, and I said as much in the survey afterwards. I usually try to keep a somewhat friendly tone when filling in surveys after events, but this?

Ohohoho, they got to hear how badly they messed up. And I was not nice. Because they didn't deserve it.

I'm done. I hate it. Get the fuck away from me. I was afraid this would happen.

I'm sticking to the merchandise in the future. At least they know what the fans want/never thought they want but definitely wanted and appreciated. TCG bros can keep their rotten excuse of an app.

Also, as much as I love Borreload Datastorm Furious Dragon, you can't fucking label it SR when I got 10 copies of it, and wasn't alone in doing so. I've gathered less of NORMAL cards that I did with Borreload. Morons...

Oh, and I might as well mention how much it actually irked me to constantly put up with not only Varis but also Roken Kogami when those aren't the names that should be used. Again, it's not a fucking dub, it's a joke for people who the creators deem stupid. Burn it to the ground for all I care and never talk about it again.

My mind suddenly made me reference on that specific request, and it's about Male S/O being Ai Hoshino from Oshi no Ko. I set the timeline from before the creation of MMJ.

I like to imagine that B-Komachi has male members too, and the Ai-like male reader is the lead. In due time, he will be known as an Idol rivaling either Haruka or Shizuku. I'd like to imagine about Haruka having a friendly rivalry with him or having a collab concert.

As for Shizuku, both of them hit it off as friends when they both meet each other in one of their collabs in a tv show. I know that the fanbase will scream and melt from their radiant appearances (and also merchandises sold off really quickly). Hehe, my mind always has this sudden creation of inspiration.

But then again, I'm not sure what Ai's personality wad fully but I think she was more after fame after all? So I feel like Airi would somehow see that...
