ch.2 of cloudnine lol

it's been a week now and no one has texted me about kuroo. i'm honestly glad i haven't received another "hey girly.." text. makes my gut drop every time just thinking about how i can get a dm anytime, but since i haven't yet, i'll just enjoy the time being.

"classes start tomorrow. you have everything babe?" kuroo came from behind me placing his hands on my shoulders rubbing them softly as i sat at my desk putting last minute items in your bag. "yep," i said popping the 'p'. "you don't have to stay the night if you don't want to. you have to drive to your classes tomorrow too y'know?" i said hanging my tote bag on it's hook. "i know but i wanna see my girlfriend off to her classes, that isn't much to ask for is it?" i tilted my head up to look at him,

i smiled feeling my heart swell of relief, all i could do was shake my head. "let's go to bed then" he nodded as we went to go do our nightly routine.

the next morning kuroo dropped me off and said he would pick me up after my lectures. it was fine by me, meant that i didn't have to walk home or take the bus. as i made my way to class i pulled my wax pen out. i took a couple hits before putting it back into it's designated pocket of my tote bag.

i walked into the class trying to catch my breath a little, the stairs was really kicking my ass, i don't know how i'm gonna do that every day. i already knew that i was going to sit far from others. it was quite nerve racking being at a new university, i didn't know anyone. i took a seat by the window taking in the view of the quad and main library. i looked down at all the people, one group in particular stood out to me. it was a group of guys, looked like they were having a sesh.

hopefully i get to meet some cool people who are down to blow down. the professor walked in and began introducing herself, as she was talking i began to notice how i was involuntarily blocking her voice out.

shit i'm high

i know i know, not the wisest choice being high my first lecture, but so what? i get my work done either way and i don't bother anyone by doing the things i do. plus i know when to be as sober as i can.

i finally came to and began following the notes the professor was already giving. i didn't mind though, notes were fun. i always added color and made them look so pretty.

i got a text from kuroo as the professor was wrapping up. he wanted to meet at the campus cafe and grab a snack before heading to my house. i was fine with whatever so i agreed. i had one more lecture in the evening, thank god it's online.

"alright please join the class session online! i will be posting reminders there and as well as assignments. i will be group emailing the link, peace!" she walked out not even waiting for anyone to reply. she's pretty cool, and seems young. i loved her already.

i put my airpods in wanting to enjoy the rest of my high. as i was looking down at my phone scrolling through my playlist, i bumped into someone. "oof-" "shit sorry my bad lil homie- oh my fault. i wasn't looking" i looked up at the person.

holy shit he was smoking hot

i guess i was staring awhile because when i finally snapped out of it, the guy and his whole group were looking at me funny. my eyes went wide as i took in their appearance and the smell. "oh my god! you're the guys i saw earlier from my window seat!" i pointed and shouted a bit loud which took them aback. "i saw you guys having a sesh down here from my lecture on the third floor" i point to the building facing us and the rest turned their heads behind them. a collective "ohh" going around.

"so you smoke?" one of the guys stepped up, he had blonde hair and a dark undercut. you have a boyfriend.. i caught myself before letting my mind slip again. "for sure i do" i opened my bag slightly taking my pen out, "you could take a hit if you want" i shrugged, they looked at me in shock. "um.." i awkwardly stood there holding my pen out for them, "sorry it's just that people around here are pretty stingy with their shit so it's shocking to see someone offer a hit so easily" another guy spoke, he was african american. he was taller than the rest, which made me realize how tall these guys actually were, around the same height as kuroo.

i waved them off, "nah it's cool. i like this aura you guys bring off, and the lingering smell of za" i laughed as i felt the pen being snatched from my hands,

jeez be respectful at least

one with cool dark ash hair that looked very similar to the blond, took a hit then passed it to the blondie. i assumed the two were twins. the dark haired twin blew the fumes out and was starting to taste the flavors on his tongue. "that cart is definitely not from out here, or any of the plugs i buy from" he pointed at the sleek device. his twin agreeing not long after.

"dude you need to try this" the tallest turned around and passed the pen to another person. i was so distracted that i didn't even know there was another person, though i do remember seeing four people when i was looking out the window. "out of state?" the last person popped out.

i felt guilty thinking that these guys in front of me were hot. but at least kuroo wasn't getting texts from random people saying i was cheating on him with them. the three guys were attractive i can't lie about that, but this guy.. he was insanely good looking. his eyes hung low obviously making him look a little hotter. he stood up tall but his head naturally tilted downwards. he had on a loose plain hoodie that had a little threading detail on the left side of his chest, a couple of chains dangled his neck, one falling under the hoodie and the rest being out. his jeans were loose but fit him nicely, they bunched over a pair of nike blazer mids. and lastly, his hair looked soft as fuck.

and once again i was staring too long, "oh, um yeah" i nodded. dang he knew by just the taste of it? "yeah i've never seen these before. we sell dispos around here" he said lowly handing me my pen back. i was so entranced by his presence that i didn't notice kuroo was calling me. i took the pen and excused myself, even though we just met, hopefully they would wait. they seemed like potential friends.

"hey babe, i just got done. i'm on my way to come get you" he didn't sound like he was on the road? whatever, "you could have just texted me that you know?" i giggled at his weird ways. "yeah i know but just felt like calling you" " okay, well drive safe" "bye baby" i put my phone back in my pocket and turned around, "sorry my boyfriends on his way," their faces seemed to change when i mentioned a boyfriend. "you guys seem cool, what's your socials?" i grabbed my phone again clicking on snap and handing it to one of the guys.

"um kuroo best captain middle blocker said he just got here and he'll meet you at the campus cafe" the blond snickered as the tallest awkwardly handed my phone back. i snatched my phone back, assuming i had at least one of their snaps. "oh my god, he's so fucking stupid. don't mind that" i tried to laugh it off as i got a notification. "suna.. rintarou.." i read as i looked up trying to guess which one it could be.

"text me whenever you're down to have a sesh" the quiet one spoke. his voice was a little louder, maybe sobering up. i nodded my head taking my leave, trying to find the cafe.

"Hey Baby, are we still up for the photoshoot on the beach today?" No, Shawn would never call himself an instagram boyfriend in the public eye. Sure, himself and Laila ( or even Scott and Cat) tease about it in the comfort of their privacy....

But he would NEVER allow himself to be called that within the public. To him, it felt like an unprofessional title - especially to a man who highly prided himself with his work ethic.

He was her business partner. An equal. He works hard behind the scenes to help his girlfriend provide quality content or be a part of business endeavors.

"Or are there any surprise meetings that suddenly popped up?"

A TRUE INSTAGRAM BOYFRIEND wasn't what shawn was. laila still loved to take her own photos or would snag others, but there were times she wanted a particular shoot, and shawn was her go-to mostly due to the ease of his availability. he was part of her business endeavors, and a part of THOSE was continuing to put herself out there. photoshoots, designs, funny videos, random videos, engagement. she didn't entirely see herself as an influencer - there wasn't any goal to influence anything. no, she didn't use her pages to s e l l anything but herself. conceited? perhaps, but laila found joy in just spreading not only the beauty of the world but of her own form and fashion. she wouldn't be a model if she was without confidence.

( though there had been, of course, a time in her life where her confidence had wavered enough to push her down a path she shouldn't have tread. even to this day, there was a struggle when it came to indulgence, but her support system meant everything, and her sense of self and health had seemed to have found balance. )

scrolling her phone, she was frowning at some of her emails when the man spoke up. low hum tickled her lips, half hearing him while trying to read a few of the email titles. in the end, she really absorbed nothing, and lowered the device to the side where she sat. tilting attention upward, wave locks of chocolate fell back from her features, though cherry lips pressed a line, t r y i n g to recall what she had been asked without seeming as though she hadn't been paying attention... she totally had. totally...

but in one ear and out the other...

meetings... oh. conflicts. the beach!

"we're still on. not until a bit later... golden hour and all that. when we're done and after i shower, we should go to dinner... i'm SICK of looking at the computer for a bit so we can sort through the photos tomorrow before touch up and posting." fingers of one hand pressed to her forehead as the other hand moved to shut off said device ( which, yes, had totally been on her email even while she had been looking at her phone instead... the typical try and distract from computer work by looking at phone work, apparently ). "somewhere with good wine, preferably... i'll need it after the waves also take me out."

a pause, sighing heavily, a flicker of pun flashing through her mind. ugh, she was starting to get to know cat too well. scott's girlfriend was a menace, and the two females didn't always see eye to eye ( literally and figuratively ), but apparently dumb jokes were starting to reveal their impact.

the sea takes you out and then shawn? two dates in one night is a bit much, huh?

I'm Sick!

Yup! Quite ill, unfortunately. On the one hand, it seems like I'll have to call out from work tomorrow so I will get a day off there... On the other hand, I feel terrible and I don't have it in me to write much of anything for my short novel! So the update I would have posted in 5-7 days wouldn't include very much.

So I'm gonna write a little here about the movies I look forward to this year. I figured I have few other places to discuss that, and it is relevant to my work, as I take a lot of inspiration from the movies I watch. Here goes.

Paddington 3 - I went to see the original Paddington in a theater which has recently closed down permanently with my mom. I really cherish that memory. Any time we have had together doing something like that really sticks out as a wholly positive and special memory in my head. They're wonderful films. I am of the rare opinion the first is better than the second, but as you can imagine I might be biased. I also got to see the Paddington shop in Paddington Station in London a few months ago! That has made me even more excited for this third entry in the series, which I will surely see with my mom as soon as it releases. They come out so infrequently that this is going to be very fun!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - Ghostbusters has long been a big part of my life. I saw it a very long time ago, presumably with my dad, as he loves them too. When I was a newborn he joked with my mom that they should hang Vigo the Carpathian's portrait over my crib. Funny - I actually ended up liking the second almost as much if not more than the first. Perhaps it was a premonition. Anyhoo, I think as far as supernatural comedy-action goes, the Ghostbusters series is essentially unmatched, and I was thrilled when I found out that it was one of the few series my girlfriend actually had seen and liked. So her and I share a lot of love for Ghostbusters, and I really really loved Afterlife. I saw it in theaters with my dad. I admit, I could see this entry not being as good as afterlife, but that isn't its fault. Afterlife was just that good, in my opinion. And I'm not complaining - Just to have more Ghostbusters movies coming out after waiting for so long is really exciting! I hope it's amazing!

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire - I'm... Not sure what to think of what we have seen so far for this film. The villain seems a little... plain, to me. And something seems really weird about the way they animate Godzilla this time around. I hope that's just the animation and effects not being finalized yet. The first 3 films in the Monsterverse are really really great, especially King of the Monsters. I loved that movie quite a lot. I had to go to Boston to see it with my dad and my sister while she was going to college. You can imagine how surprised we were when the climax took place there! Godzilla 2014 I also hold fondly in my heart as one of the movies my mom and I saw in theaters back in the day. I have a lot of nostalgia for it now, and it's the movie that really got me into Godzilla (I had seen the original around that time, too). Kong I watched at home with my sister but unexpectedly loved. Normally I don't care much about King Kong, personally. And then Godzilla Vs. Kong was pretty decent. It had a lot to live up to, following up on KotM. But it ended up being pretty fun. It didn't hurt that it was essentially one of just two big movies to release in the summer of 2020, alongside Bill and Ted 3. I liked Mechagodzilla's design, but his implementation into the story left something to be desired. I did feel like they were going somewhere with the Hollow Earth business, and I am happy to see GxK is apparently trying to follow through with that idea. I just hope it's not quiiite as awkward and canned as some of the trailers make it look. That being said, Godzilla's new pink crystal design is really inspired, and I think they will have some surprises for us that we don't see coming. No matter what, I will have a good time seeing it. Especially since this is also one series I share a love for with my girlfriend. I recommended KotM to her a few years ago and she really enjoyed it, especially Mothra.

Argylle - This seems like an interesting enough action film. There has been an odd trend lately of films about novelists, but as one myself I'm not complaining. It's directed by Matthew Vaughn, who directed all of the Kingsman movies. I really liked the first one of those. The second was alright. I didn't get around to watching the third, though I was curious about its depiction of Rasputin. This movie seems to have similar fun and colorful vibes. The cinematography and lighting is clearly very important to this man. I bet he has good relationships with his DPs. I'm pretty excited about the cast too. John Cena especially has seemed to really hit his stride lately, comedically and seriously. He was a delight as Peacemaker in James Gunn's Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker show which followed.

The Fall Guy - This looks alright, for an action flick. I'm not sure I like the vibe of it, but the set pieces look fun and whatnot. I'm curious to see what comes from this one mostly because of Ryan Gosling. He is always fun to watch. David Leitch is a decent director, too. We'll have to see how this one looks.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - There was one or two nights quite a few years ago that my sister and I randomly decided we would watch a shitload of the Planet of the Apes movies. I have very little memory of the actual plot aside from snippets, and I could not for the life of me tell you which of the movies we actually watched. I want to say we watched one or two of the older ones and one or two of the newer ones. I can't follow the plot anyway, so I think I'll just go into this one without any rewatches. If anything, I might just watch the most recent one. It's not the top of my list, but it could be a fun evening out.

Furiosa - I'm not some Mad Max superfan, but Fury Road was really fun. I have no idea what to really expect from Furiosa but if it's even like 65% as fun as its predecessor it will be good enough. As a side note, I have found it really difficult to find the original Mad Max films available to watch. I've never seen them. Perhaps they would be good discs to buy.

Garfield - This will be a bit of a hate watch, I must admit. I like Garfield and I don't think Chris Pratt is a good fit for the role. Regardless of what I think of him, he's just a weird choice. I'll watch this one at home.

Deadpool 3 - I don't watch a lot of Marvel stuff nowadays, save for Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and the occasional odd-ball thing like Moon Knight (still praying squirrel girl gets a series!). But the Deadpool movies were really fun. I actually don't like the character of Deadpool at all, mostly because a lot of fans of Deadpool act inappropriately at various conventions and it's quite cringe-worthy. Ryan Reynolds does such a great job though, and he brings a formidable passion to the role. And Hugh Jackman will be there as Wolverine, and that's neat. I liked the X-Men movies a fair bit. I will say, I haven't rewatched the other 2 Deadpool movies at all. I saw both in theaters once and that is it. I wonder if they hold up.

Borderlands - Very curious. Played the second game with my sister and my dad back in the day quite a lot. This could be fun. It could also be pretty bad. We shall se.

Beetlejuice 2 - Extremely excited for this, though cautiously so. Beetlejuice is one of my all-time favorite movies. My girlfriend and I saw the musical in NYC together on our very first vacation, so it has a lot of extra special meaning to me, as well. I think it's Tim Burton's best work, and the cast and crew all performed so excellently that I'm not sure they could ever recapture the magic. That being said, they've got Willem Dafoe in the new one, so that helps their odds. I'm a little worried about Barb and Adam being cut out, though I think their story was pretty much concluded anyway. Then again, so was Lydia's, I feel. I'm just sad they aren't still together as a big happy weird family. Here is hoping this turns out good, though! It might be my most anticipated next to the first 3 on this list.

Alien: Romulus - I was extremely obsessed with Alien and HR Giger as a younger man. Throughout all of middle school and a very good chunk of high school, I could think of little else. The stories I wrote for English classes were very much inspired by Alien (not outright ripoffs, mind you). The art I doodled in my free time and on every worksheet I ever had was strictly biomechanical. I loved it so much. I still do, but I haven't thought about it much recently due to the content draught aside from the games I haven't gotten around to playing yet. I loved Prometheus and Covenant, honestly, in a weird way, even though Prometheus was originally supposedly not going to be an Alien movie at all. I think it's terrible Scott didn't at least get a chance to wrap up his vision for that story with one last film. I didn't quite like covenant as much as Prometheus, but I thought it was decent. I'm weird though, and I think the second film in the series is the worst by far. So take what I say with a grain of salt. I know this new Fede Alvarez film (which I thought was a show until I googled it just a minute ago) is set on Earth with teenagers facing the xenomorph. That could be fun. They never go to Earth. Then again, I wonder if that's for a reason. We will find out if and when this releases this year.

Joker: Folie à Deux - I saw the first one with my sister and my dad in theaters, also in Boston. I thought it was pretty good, actually. I mean, once you get past the memes and the silliness... And the weird people who completely obsess over the character, it's a well-made film with a good score and some really good writing. It has its flaws, but it's a lot of fun. I'm not quite sure it needed a sequel, but I definitely have my eyes out for this one.

Wolf Man - This would normally have me very excited, as I love the Universal Monsters a lot, but it's being directed by the guy that directed Invisible Man 2020, and that was not my cup of tea, so I am not sure I will like this one. I also doubt it will come out this year, because as far as I can tell, it hasn't really even entered production yet. I'll be curious, but I think this could stink. I won't get into Invisible Man right now, though.

Venom 3 - I think Venom was okay. Like Joker, it had the issue of a lot of people being huge weird fans of the character, albeit in a less concerning or toxic way. I never really liked him that much, but Spider-Man 3 was pretty much my favorite movie as a child, so I have a tiny bit of nostalgia attached to him. I did always like Carnage, however, so I'm happy he was in the sequel. When I saw that, though, I did so in IMAX with my mom, and the volume was so unbelievably loud that I couldn't hear properly for days after going, let alone enjoy the movie properly. Some cool shots though. I don't have any expectations for this one. I overlooked any issues with the second because it had Carnage. This one has to find a way to hook me. I'll probably go see it even if it doesn't, though. I might not be a big superhero guy anymore, but sometimes it's just nice to leave the house and see a movie. They can't all be Shin Godzilla. Some of them have to be a different kind of escapism.

Nosferatu - I'm really ashamed to say I haven't seen the original Nosferatu once in my whole life. I am very familiar with its iconic moments and plot, as well as its backstory, but I have never seen it somehow. I keep saving it for Halloween and then not getting the chance to watch it. It doesn't help I don't think anyone would want to watch it with me if I asked. I like it, though, despite having never seen it. I also love Willem Dafoe. I should watch his Nosferatu-related movie, too. This one will probably be pretty good.

Beyond the Spider-Verse - I liked the first Spider-Verse a lot. The second one was decent, but not as good as the first in my opinion. Still, both are great movies. The animation is superb. The third seems to be in a curious position as far as development goes. I hope it's a smooth ride. I also hope they delay it if it's necessary.

Wow! That's a lot of movies. More than I thought were coming out. Beetlejuice 2, Paddington 3, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and Godzilla X Kong are my most anticipated by far. Everything else is icing on the cake. Last year was extremely good for movies, but this year seems to be promising, too! I think it will be a fun one. March will be especially busy for me with both Ghostbusters and Godzilla releasing that month, one week apart.

I did not mean to rant for so long. It's 4 AM now. I should get some rest so I stop being sick! I hope you enjoyed reading these trivial opinions and anecdotes if you chose to for some reason. Maybe you should go to bed too. If you do, good night. Thank you for sticking around.

Captain the Retired Police Dog Part 3

I had no idea this would turn out like this, but here we are part 3

Just a quick warning this chapter is a bit sadder, but there will be plenty of fluff and love to try and make up for it. Also like 1 curse word

The next morning was a sad one for Marinette

She didn't want to leave her baby boy in the hotel room for the better part of the day

But she has no choice they're going to some museums today and they really don't want dogs in there no matter how well behaved they are

So Marinette filled up Captain's food and water and headed out

Marinette: Bye Captain be good we'll be back around 2, I left animal planet on for you

Captain gave Marinette a lick on the cheek as a goodbye and watched as his girl left without him

Even though Marinette didn't have Captain with her she tried to make the best out of the situation

She had to admit without Captain or Damian the trip felt a lot more lonely

The first stop was to an art museum.

Marinette loved it she was so inspired by all the pieces

She even got a couple of new designs out on it

Next came the superhero museum

Marinette loved that and it even helped her come up with a plan to stop Hawkmoth for good

It turns out that cities or other heroes can make formal request to get help from the Justice League to help with problems

And even though her and her team have grown as superheros Hawkmoth has also grown as a villian

Marinette fears the day that Hawkmoth decides to try and recreate Hero Day again

She knew she didn't have enough allies to call on anymore.

After the rift of the class the boy people she feels she can call upon now are Luka, Kagami, and occasionally Chloe

Chloe has gotten a lot better and she doesn't torment Marinette anymore

She mostly just keeps to herself and Sabrina now

She sometimes talks to Marinette too, but she wouldn't exactly call them friends yet

The next museum was local history museum

That was where Lila thought it was best place to have the "talk" she's been meaning to have with Marinette

Lila: Oh is poor little Marinette lonely without her stupid dog

Marinette: What do you want Lila. I literally haven't done anything to you. I stopped trying to exposed you, you took away all my friends in class, what more could you possibly want?

Lila: You silly stupid bitch. I may have done all that but do you really think I'm done? I won't stop until you're completely alone friendless, familyless, and dogless.

Marinette: What does that mean?

Lila: You just better watch the ones you love Dupen-Cheng. We wouldn't want anything to happen to them now would we. And you know how easily somebody could be akumatized nowadays

Lila walked away leaving Marinette shaken for the rest of the day

Tikki tried to reassure her chosen but there's only so much she can do when she's forced to stay inside a bag

Tikki leaned into Marinette's leg hoping to show some comfort to the poor girl who had to grow up way before her time

Marinette numbly: Thanks Tikki

Luckily for Marinette that was the last museum of the day, and before she knew it Marinette was back in her hotel room hugging Tikki and Captain close to her as she cried

Captain hated this it was like nothing he could do could help his girl

He didn't even want to think about what possibly could have happened to but her in this state

Marinette was still crying when she's got a call from Damian

Marinette was going to hit ignore but Tikki stopped her

Tikki: You should talk to him Marinette I know he'll make you feel better.

Captain budge her with his head to show his encouragement

Marinette just nodded her head trying to calm her breathing before answering her phone.

Damian: Hey Angel Titus and I are out fro-

Marinette in a broken voice: Da-Damian.

Damian suddenly on high alert: What's wrong Marinette?

Marinette tried to think about what to tell him, but she realized all she wanted was to be held in his arms

Marinette: Can you please just come up to my room?

Damian: Of course Angel what room and floor on you on?

Marinette told him and Damian went running with Titus at his heels.

Damian was barely aware what was going on around him until he was standing in front of his Angel's door. He could hear her sobbing through the closed door.

Damian was suddenly filled with the need to hurt whoever put his Angel in this state

Damian pushed his thoughts of murder aside and knocked on Marinette's door

As soon as Marinette opened the door she rushed into Damian's arms

Damian didn't know what to do, but he did what felt right

He wrapped his arms around the girl he's come to love so quickly, guiding them back into her room before any of her classmates can see them and does his best to close her door behind them

Captain seeing Damian struggle got up from his place on the bed and used his nose to close the door for Damian

Damian: Thanks Captain.

Damian guided Marinette back to her bed

Maneuvering them so they were now sitting on the bed Damian continued to hold Marinette close as she cried

Damian kept silent and just let Marinette get everything out of her system

The only time Damian moved was to press light kisses to the side of her head.

Titus and Captain also got in on the cuddle action surrounding Marinette silently letting her know that they too were there for her

After what felt like forever Marinette pulled away from Damian enough to see his face

Marinette: Sorry about that Damian I guess I ruined our date huh?

Damian wiping a tear from her cheek: Not at all Angel. What happened?

Marinette: Dont worry about it Damian. It's not important

Damian: If it made you cry then it's important and I want to hear about it

Marinette stay quite for a minute before she finally broke down and told him everything. About Lila's lies, about how the friends she'd known almost all her life choose someone they just met over her, about the feeling of isolation, and about Lila's threats.

Damian: I won't let Lila hurt you or anybody you love Marinette. Before she can even try I'll yeet her to the sun

Marinette letting out a giggle: Did you really just say yeet?

Damian chuckling: I thought it would cheer you up

Marinette still giggling: You were right

Damian: Do you still want to go out tonight, or do you want to stay here watch a movie and cuddle

Marinette: I think I want to cuddle

Damian: excellent choice habibata, and I know the perfect movie

Marinette: Oh really what's that

Damian messed with his phone connecting it to the tv

Marinette waited patiently for Damian to show her the perfect date movie and much to her surprise it's the 1999 Mummy

Marinette was a little skeptical but Damian was completely right

It was funny action pack and had a pretty good romance

Seriously guys this is my favorite movie

Marinette: I have to admit that was a great movie Damian

Damian: I know right it was one of the first movies I saw when I first moved to Gotham

Captain stared at this strange new boy and his girl

He did what Captain couldn't do

Reluctantly Captain officially accept this boy into his and his girl's life

If he could make her feel better then Captain would let him stay as long as his girl wanted him there

Damian and Marinette decided to take their dogs for a short walk to give them a chance to do their business and get some exercise before heading back to Marinette's hotel room to continue their movie night

After ordering some pizza from a near by shop the couple and their dogs spent the rest of their time together watching the other 2 Mummy movies in the trilogy then had a blast tearing apart the remake with Tom Cruz

Damian and Titus left after that movie, leaving Marinette feeling much better and safer.

Damian finally got home sometime after midnight. He expected everybody to be asleep or out on patrol but instead he found his family sitting in the living room

Walking towards them he was met by Ace

Damian: Hey girl how are you?

Damain rubbed the german shepherd's head

Ace gave the boy a lick on the hand before trotting away with Titus to go to sleep for the night.

Damian: I thought you guys would be asleep by now or at least out on patrol

Dick: We were worried about you Baby Bird. We thought you would be home hours ago

Bruce: Not to mention that you completely ignored our texts and calls

Damian: Sorry father something came up with Marinette, and she needed some cheering up so we had a movie night

Jason: seriously you spent 9 or so hours watching movies with your girlfriend

Guys I actually looked it up it would take about 8 hours to watch the Mummy trilogy plus the remake

Damian smirked: Yep and it was one of the best dates I've ever had. She has another free day tomorrow and we're going to hang out and go on another date

Tim: Really another date? And when will we be able to meet this girl?

Damian: If I can help it never.

With that Damian turned on his heels and heads to his room

Jason: So we're going to ambush them on their date tomorrow right

Dick and Tim: Definitely

Alfred: Are you sure that is wise? What do you think Master Bruce?

Bruce: If you're going to do it make sure you get some pictures

Dick winking: Will do

A bit shorter then usual sorry. But after the Lila scene I wanted to spend the rest of the post making Marinette feel better, and I felt like this was the best way to end this part.

Im tired. But today was a really good day.

I slept okay enough last night. Getting to sleep was hard. But I liked cuddling with my boy. So i let us stay in bed a little to long. But I still had time to get dressed and make a egg sandwich.

We walked together to get my bike. James went home and I biked over to taney. Riley beat me to torsk but i got him to give it to me. Steller.

I had a really good time on the sub. But man was it quiet. I spent the morning by myself. Working on and finishing a lesson plan. James had taken my embroideres to get the frames and then took them to the bmi. He's great. Just the best. He then brought me a soda and went to work.

I finally had some guests. It was slow going but by the end of the day i had 40 people come in. I got to tell stories and answer questions and it was just a really nice time.

I had a weird interaction on instagram with a guy who claimed to be a price from Dubai and kepy saying we had to grt married. I think I'm gonna post the whole thing because it was just. Wild.

But besides that weirdness i mostly just watched videos on YouTube and decided to download a drawing app on my tablet. And i really started loving it. I think I'll throw the designs up on like redbubble or something. I am very pleased with them. Plus it was just really soothing.

It rained sometimes. And it was cold. But i had a little heater and it was actually a really cozy day in my shed. I enjoyed it a lot.

The day ended and I biked home. I fixed my wall calendar. I fed and pet Sweetp. I got a shower and packed an overnight bag. And went to meet James and his dnd group at the bar.

I got a little turned around. But James found me. And we went over to the place. Benairen, one of the dnd boys, was there and we all went in. And i was immediately unhappy. It was way to crowded and loud and we had to stand. These are all my least favorite things. But then Lane, the only dnd girl, came and after a few minutes we got a table and things improved.

Everyone else came. Brandon and Ryan and Jordan. We got food. And we talked. And i got to talk about art l love,and my students and their work, and my summer camp idea. And i was just so happy. I really like this group of people. I hope we all stay friends even when the campaign is done.

My friend Gaby from the bmi is also friends with Lane and so she came too! And then Ryan's girlfriend. And it was very fun but i was getting very tired. So a bit after 9 me and James and Brandon left.

Brandon walked with us to James's block. And then we said goodbye. And now me and james are hanging out. Im gonna paint on my tablet some more. And get ready for bed.

We have an overnight tomorrow together. And im looking forward to that. I hope the kids are nice.
