X-Men 97 episode 3, here are my thoughts.
*SPOILERS*
Pros:
Goblin Queen got a magical girl transformation sequence. Dunno why this is a pro, but I like it and her outfit. See? A woman looking sexy. Now can the people talking about Rogue's looks can back off now? By the way, Madelyn was actually the Jean we saw this whole time....yeah, I'm gonna get to that later.
The mansion being haunted and the hell pit. The visuals were pretty good on that. I especially liked how each section was showing many of the characters' greatest fears and mess with their insecurities.
Bishop and Cyclops team up which Bishop got to do something cool.
Jean vs. Goblin Queen. It was good. Honestly, I felt bad for both of them Jean was held captive for who knows how long and missed out a lot. Madelyn didn't know she was a clone until Mr. Sinister revealed it to her since she believed to be the real Jean. Then she got brainwashed like a sleeper agent to do Mr. Sinister's bidding.
Forge! He's finally here!
A lot of comic references that worked pretty well.
There was more moments with Morph. He still got involved and despite what he went through because of Sinister, he was still willing to take the X-Men to where he is. However, I thought Morph would do a bit more due to his connection to Mr. Sinister. So, this is kinda a pro and a con to me. I just hope he doesn't get even more traumatized because of Goblin Queen brainwashing him when he was in his Magik form.
Cons:
I'll be honest. I liked the last two episodes more than this one. I think it's because the Madelyn/Goblin Queen storyline from the comics was resolved so quickly. The return of Mr. Sinister, the Jean we saw since episode one was a clone, Nathan going to the future to be cured, Goblin Queen, that all happened and concluded in one episode. Something like this should have some more buildup. Like, be a two-episode or three-episode arc. Many arcs from the 90s X-Men show has lasted for 2-3 episodes, so I thought this was gonna be that. But, I guess not.
Roberto AKA Sunspot was there in this episode, but he didn't really do anything aside from being saved. I thought he left the school, and I don't get why he had to be there when Beast was checking on Jean at the beginning since he's not a member of the team (not yet at least). Maybe he was there to hangout with Jubilee? Well, I just hope that this is building up to him using his powers and develop his character.
The calling herself Madelyn Pryer....when the hell did she come up with her new name?! It felt like it came out of nowhere. She was saying goodbye to Jean, and she's like, "Just call me Madelyn Pryer."......HUH?! You can't just suddenly introduce her new name like that cause it so sudden.
Questions
Will Gambit confront Rogue on her relationship with Magneto and will it go badly?
Again, WHEN WERE THE TWO EVEN A THING?!?! Unless this is a red herring.
When did the switcheroo happen with Jean and her clone? We don't know when so it could've been during the timeskip offscreen.
Is that it from Bishop? Was the point of him being there was to take Nathan to the future to be cured?
What the hell was Morph gonna do with those claws?! I know he can joke around, but hard to reach places?! With those claws?!
How's Forge gonna help Storm get her powers back?
Now that Jean knows how much she means to Logan, Cyclops having a son with a clone who he thought was Jean and knowing that some of the time he spent with her was a lie cause it wasn't Jean, and the last scene where they stood there awkwardly, is there gonna be even more tension between the three? Cause that's gonna be stressful to watch. I blame Sinister if more drama is gonna happen.
Logan's never gonna move on, is he?
And, that's pretty much it.

beastars episode 24 thoughts!
this post got kinda long i have Many Thoughts on this one
Overall I had fun watching this ep but I could really tell it was rushed and there was so much that got cut, which makes me super sad. our fears about the finale having pacing issues due to all the added scenes & rearranging were confirmed & it rly sucks, but i'll elaborate more on that in a bit.
this week's ep covered the end of chapter 92, chapters 93-97, and included small bits of chapters 98 & 99.
so the ep starts with the ED and the latter part of the tunnel scene with ibuki and louis. i liked the visual effect they used to show that they were in the dark. louis' voice acting was also On Point. for the most part i think this scene was done pretty well but I can tell it's being rushed also. I really wish we got more buildup and narration instead of just jumping straight to ibuki telling louis to shoot him. the way it is in the anime feels less impactful imo.
also im sad we didnt get to see this in the anime
before i move on, i wanna talk a bit about louis and his relationship w/ the shishigumi and ibuki. i feel like in the anime quite a few of the lil moments that really endear you to the shishigumi and also ibuki were either cut or kinda glossed over, which is strange to me considering how much effort and care went into the ED. it's very emotional and good but i feel like maybe anime onlies are missing out only seeing the anime and the MV. but idk.
legosi and riz's fight was quite rushed as well. there's so much narration and dialogue missing from it and that really rubs me the wrong way. It wasn't all bad but compared to the manga I just don't think it's as good. I will say tho that I really liked the sequence w legosi and the moths. I thought it looked really nice and was pretty well done.
also i liked how the backgrounds had some anti-yahya graffiti, its a nice touch imo
it says "high quality horse meat"
I was happy to see legosi do the "tell me more" pose but I'm honestly disappointed that the anime took out the whole exposition about why legosi did it. like i feel like without that it's just legosi being weird when he has a reason for it!!! This is just one example of the anime taking out crucial narration during the fight.
I also think it's kinda weird how they changed how louis shows up at the fight. im not sure how i feel about riz just charging at him like that, but i liked how legosi kicked him before they ran lol.
i dont have much to say about pina's small scene but I did wanna say that during my first watch thru of the ep i was too distracted trying to read the graffiti behind him that i didn't notice him getting his phone out of the dumpster and calling the cops lmao
it says "devour yahya"
and now... here we are... the predation scene.
overall i thought it was pretty well done but, like the rest of the ep, i could tell it was also being kinda rushed. some important beats werent given enough time to really sink in, and there's a few bits of narration taken out of this part as well that i find disappointing :^(
tho i did like how the anime called back to this scene in s1 when legosi mentions utilizing his strength.
also this part where louis is remembering ibuki had me like😭
I also really liked seeing louis cry. I was crying too sjdflskjdflsjkdf. i thought that scene was really good, its prolly my favorite part of the ep tbh. getting to hear the whole predation scene voiced made me kind of a mess lol. i really liked louis' expressions throughout this whole ep too. studio orange used their whole louis expression budget on these last 2 eps lmao.
seeing legosi instantly get all beefed up was great too. he looked a little ridiculous but i kinda loved it lol. he's so huge and poofy. i love him.
big pomeranian
anyway, im also sad they took out louis' line about being reduced to a flashback character lol. instead he tells legosi "be a hero" again which... im not sure about that change. i liked the part with riz thinking back about tem tho. tho imo the way riz realizes he's in the wrong feels pretty sudden. again adding to how rushed the whole ep feels.
before i move on again i just wanna say legosi looks so cute. even all puffed up and covered in blood. how does he do that
baby boy baby. i wanna ruffle his cheek floofs.
i think one of the things im most disappointed about from this whole ep was how the fight got wrapped up. i really like how the cops show up and totally shift the tone in the manga jslkdfjskljdf. im also really sad we didnt get this interaction
tthe anime really took out most of the sillier moments from the finale, which makes me pretty sad to think about. i know the anime and manga have different tones but pls let the boys be silly sometimes!!
the next part where legosi and louis finally establish their friendship was really cute tho ❤️ even tho it was pretty different i enjoyed it a lot.
BABIESSSS 🥺😭❤️❤️
the wrap-up for this arc and this episode gave me whiplash sdjlfkjsdf. it literally speedruns thru legosi's predation conviction, being released, louis & haru's graduation, and legosi deciding he's going to drop out of school. that is SO MUCH AT ONCE. also i was holding out hope that legosi would have his new years call with haru after the fight instead but that didnt happen!! so it just got cut!!! kinda mad about that tbh. legosi and haru having a lil scene at the very end made up for it a lil bit but that's still one of haru's few moments in this arc that's just not included.
we didnt even get the part wher legosi learns he can't marry haru bc of his conviction.
ive been really hoping for a season 3 announcement once this season ended. with all the background allusions to yahya, the added plot point of someone stealing elephant tusks, and sebun and melon's lil cameos in this season, it seemed to me that studio orange was kinda teasing a 3rd season. but now, with the dismissive way the anime ended, and paru's note from earlier today, im less sure about the possibility of a 3rd season. i'd still like to see the rest of the series animated, but i guess we'll just have to wait and see if more anime is announced in the future.
if we do get another season in the future i just hope that we swing back around and actually address the things that got completely glossed over in the last couple minutes of this episode instead of charging forward w/o touching them again.
i really think the finale for this arc should've been two episodes at least. not including the tunnel scene. i think then things wouldn't have felt so rushed. people have been saying this season really would have benefitted from at least 1 extra episode and i cant help but agree. some have even suggested a whole 24 episodes just for this arc, but i think that this arc couldve been done properly with 12 or 13 episodes if there was some better prioritizing on what to include and what to cut.
like i dont mind not getting the parts about legosi's family if they can be addressed somehow in a future season (or if theres no more future anime seasons thats a plot thread that doesnt have to be worried about). i could have lived w/o seeing sheila & peach's chapter animated if it meant more time for the focus of this arc. and was the kangaroo red herring really necessary?
adaptation wise, i dont think this season was as good as the first. i still think it did fairly well, but i know that it could have been much better. ive been excited to watch this season with my friends once the dub releases, but now im wondering if i should just tell them to read the manga instead. sighs idk. perhaps it comes thru better as a bingewatch, or perhaps im being a bit too harsh. idk. at some point ill do a rewatch and see how i feel about the season as a whole, but that wont be for a while.
if you've read this far, thanks for reading my ramblings!! it's been fun to make these posts every week and im gonna miss getting new episodes every week.

Destiel Chronicles
Vol. LXXXVIII
It was a love story from the very beginning.
The Empty is Coming (Part. II)
(12x18)
Hello dears! How are you feeling for tonight's episode? I'm not ready...
Okay, i had to make a whole meta for this episode for the huge symbolism related to Sacrifice and the Empty.
Castiel walking on the Empty, a prelude...
When episode 12x18 starts, we have another dar forest, representing the Empty, and a young guy named Jorred walking on it...
If you pay attention, he wears a brown coat, blue pants. Is a blatant Cas' mirror, and the obscurity surrounding him, symbolizes the Empty.
Jorred gets trapped and then dies.
Where's Cas? Is reaching a high level of worrisome
Dean tries to call Cas but... He can't. So, all theses days he didn't have news about the angel and he is reaching high levels of worrisome.
I wrote an entire meta about this episode time ago, I don't want to be repetitive, so i will be quoting here things I already put in that meta. You can find the analysis here.
DEAN: Come on. Cas, it's me. I've been trying to get ahold of you for days. I don't know what's going on, but we got a line on Dagon...And we got our asses handed to us, even with the Colt. So...Could really use the backup. Call me back.
Dean is mad at Cas, first because he is pointing at he have been days trying to get ahold of him (remember Dean praying to him every night in Purgatory?) and then he is mad because he doesn't know what's going on with Cas. So basically, he is mad because Cas is not calling. Is not giving living signals.
SAM: So no luck with Cas, huh?
DEAN: Yeah, still AWOL.
SAM: All right, so let's find him.
DEAN: I've been trying, Sam. The GPS on his phone is turned off, and there's nothing in the system about some weird guy in a trench coat getting arrested or turning up dead.
This is the thing here, he reveals another details of why he is mad and worried, because Cas turn his GPS off! That means that maybe he doesn't want th to find him. And then, Dean is saying HE SEARCHED FOR HIM IN HOSPITALS AND POLICE INFO LIKE? Yeah... A little kind of desperate.
And if you pay attention bro the pic, you wikl find how worried is Sam watching his brother in that shape.
SAM: Right. Dean, it's Cas. I mean, this isn't the first time he's dropped off the map, you know? And whatever's happening, he'll be fine. He always is.
DEAN: Yeah.
This scene is very rich in body language. Also Sam assuming Cas will always be fine, is like settling the idea that something could take them by surprise anytime about the angel.
But watch Dean here while Sam tries to comfort his brother...
I will quote here what I wrote in my meta about this episode:
"Priceless... Avoiding Sam's eyes, looking to a side, dimples of discontent, that sniffing is like... He is so mad... He just can't stand it. Can't stand CAS not answering his phone calls, not being there for weeks. Not knowing if he is dead or alive. Makes feel so uneasy, he can't control what he is feeling... He is mad, but worried at the same time."
How do I fill this emptiness?
Not being able to have any hint of Cas, and feeling he was being rejected by him, the unrequited love idea hits Dean again.
Is big, cold, hole inside of him, and it needs to be filled immediately. And what Dean does, which will be the last time he does it? He hooks up with random waitress. Why? Well. I will quote here again my insights from the other meta.
"... and I know the fandom had pointed the "Castiel coded coat" this waitress is wearing... Like... "YEAH I'M JUST AN ASSHOLE FOR BEING IN LOVE WITH MY BEST MALE FRIEND WHO WILL NEVER LOVE ME BACK, HE ABANDONED ME AND DOESN'T' GIVE A FUCK IF I'M WORRIED OR NOT. LET'S JUST HOOK UP WITH RANDOM WAITRESS HERE AND HEY! THAT COAT REMINDS ME TO CAS DAMN!"
I want to add the waitress is not just dressed with the coat but with a pink dress too. The pink color will be very called in the incoming seasons. Is a symbolism of happiness. Related to Castiel's deal with the Empty made in season 14, and the ultimate Sacrifice for love and Castiel's love confession in season 15. But in this case, it talks about Dean. Dean's happiness is Cas and viceversa.
Another thing Dean did in this episode to fill the emptiness of his Unrequited Love was eating too much. As he always does. It maybe wouldn't caught our attention if Sam wouldn't watched him with disgust and scolding face.
Sheriff Barret Bishop and the Black Bill legend. (Cas and Empty mirrors)
Look how Sam describes the legend of Black Bill at first:
SAM: And when the fun was over, the satyr would, "feast upon the flesh of his victims until his belly was full to bursting with their moist, slippery meat."
I find this very interesting, because he talks about a party, something they celebrate (an orgy) that could be related with lust, the thing that will taken as a forbidden feelings in Castiel's POV in episode 14x15. And the punishment is became the monster's food. But but, is not the first time we see a monster feeding of people or energy in legends. In episode 14x17, the one that gave me the spec about Dean rescuing Castiel from the Empty, they talk too about this legend and how the mosntrrs feed from his prays. So, is this the Empty's story then? Is he feeding with energy from dead angels and dead demons? Hahaha just a few days and we will know.
Then, Castiel's mirror trying to do his best to change things, but by himself.
Sheriff Bishop: Moloch used his power to make us rich. After my father died in '97, I put a stop to all of that. Look, I couldn't...I never killed anybody. I just wanted to help people to make up for all the bad we've done. I wanted... To leave a legacy. - I kept him locked up. Hoped he'd starve to death.
Okay, this is kind of the idea of what Chuck did with the Empty. The thing is... The monster scapes.
And then we have the Sheriff saying "It was on him"
Sheriff Bishop: You should go.
SAM: No, sheriff, uh, we can help clean up.
Sheriff Bishop: No. This...I'll take care of it. It's on me. This? This is my legacy.
Again a Cas mirror doing the dirty work. It's on me. Is the same thought in Castiel's mind, and we will see it in the next episode.
Winchester's legacy:
SAM: But the people we saved, they're our legacy. And they'll remember us and then I guess...We'll eventually fade away, too. That's fine, because we left the world better than we found it, you know.
DEAN: I wonder what's gonna happen to this place. After we're gone, you think some hunter'll move in, keep fightin' the fight?
SAM: Yeah, I hope so.
DEAN: Yeah. Me, too.
Dean gets out his knife from his pocket.
SAM: What are you doin'?
DEAN: Leaving our mark. Here.
This is a parallel to 15x19, the fake bro ending. The dialogue is also a representation of THE FAMILY BUSINESS.
But you know what they did in 15x19, they carved Cas and Jack names too.
And you know what happened in episode 12x19: THE MIXTAPE OR THE WAY DEAN USED TO EXPRESS HIS ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR CAS. So, this is another clue for us to think Cas will come back after bro only ending to hear Dean's true love confession. (I'm talking about tonight's episode.)
To Conclude:
More than another foreshadow of the Empty and Castiel's dead, we had once more Dean Winchester's unrequited love inner fight.
This is another proof Dean feels the same way as Castiel. He really feels his love is Unrequited and he will never be able to have Cas in the way he wants.
Even with Castiel's speech in the barn in 12x10, giving Dean some hopes and gifting him with the Mixtape, as a representan of his romantic love for him, Dean is facing now that maybe that confession was totally platonic. And it hurst him. That's why he behaves by trying to fill that empty with sex and food.
But it won't go away until both men complete their love circle.
Hope you like this, see you in the next one!

Conversation
Taylor's interview on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show | BBC Radio 2 (April 29, 2019)
Richie: Taylor, hello.
Taylor: Good morning!
Richie: How are you, my love? You okay?
Taylor: I'm so good. I'm so happy to talk to you!
Richie: I love the new song by the way.
Taylor: Oh, you do? Thank you!
Richie: I drove to Liverpool on the weekend which is about two hours from where I live and I must have listened to it about 20 times on the way there and 20 times on the way back; it's so good.
Taylor: Seriously?
Richie: Honestly. It was so amazing, we couldn't stop playing it all the way there, all the way back and already this morning I've listened to it twice, Taylor, so I'm feeling it.
Taylor: Oh, you're so sweet to say that. Thank you. I really just feel, like, it's so nice when people say that it makes them happy. Like, that's legitimately the best thing you could say.
Richie: Well in general, your music does. We were talking about your music on the show last week. You always make me kind of feel warm and fuzzy which is good, which is what music is meant to do.
Taylor: Aw, thanks.
Richie: So just give us sort of like a window into the world of Taylor Swift. Where are you right now?
Taylor: I'm sitting on my couch; I have three cats within 20 feet of me which is how I prefer to exist. So I had rehearsals and then I came home and then I watched the latest episode of Game of Thrones which was beautiful. I'm not going to spoil anything for anyone but, whoa.
Richie: You watch Game of Thrones with your cats? Are they your Game of Thrones buddies?
Taylor: Well, I'll watch with anyone who wants to but I get really emotional so there's a lot of clapping and screaming and crying that happens when I watch Game of Thrones, so sometimes when I know it's gonna be, like, I heard this was going to be the most intense episode and it was, so I kind of felt like I should probably do this, you know, alone.
Richie: Because I imagine that would scare the cats. I imagine they'd look at you like, "Are you okay, hon?"
Taylor: They're so used to it.
Richie: What I love about you is that you write your songs yourself. I mean, that is incredible and this new single ME! again you have written. Now with me, when I kind of have, like, an idea or a brainwave it seems to happen at the worst possible time, so, like, in the middle of the night, if I'm walking down the aisle in the supermarket. So what do you do if you're out and about and you get a melody or a lyric come to you?
Taylor: Oh, completely. You never get an idea—almost never—when you're, like, sitting in a writing session or you're in the studio or something; it's always in the middle of the night. There are times when I've written a really cool hook in a dream and then you wake up and you're like, "I'll definitely remember that, right?" and then you don't. And that only has to happen to you a couple of times before you start recording every single idea you ever have and so my phone has all these, like, three second voice memos of me just, like, mumbling what I think might be a good idea and if you go back through them, like 97% of them are really, really terrible or completely unintelligible. Like, you have no idea. I'll be, like, "That was 4:00 in the morning. I have no idea what this even is. This sounds like it doesn't even sound—it sounds like a grizzly bear. It doesn't even sound like a human." But sometimes you get an idea that really works out and this was one of—this was one of those where I had this idea, I stored it up for this writing session because I felt like when we when we went to the studio next this was the first thing I wanted to bring in, and so we constructed the first half of the song and then we're like you know what this seems like it might be a you know a narrative where we want another person in here to say his side of it, like a duet because it's about confidence, it's about expressing your individuality and I think that it's kind of cool to have, you know, the story be that this is a love song two people in a relationship but both of them feel irreplaceable within that relationship because I think people often times everybody struggles with insecurity, so I just wanted to get a song that was catchy enough to get stuck in people's heads that also makes them feel like they're worthy and special and irreplaceable.
Richie: Now I love the video and it's already been one of the fastest most watched music videos on YouTube. 10 million views in just two hours. There's so many parts of this new video but what I also wonder, 'cause your videos are always very colorful, there's lots of outfits, there's a lot going on. Do you ever take any mementos from the set of your videos?
Taylor: Oh, yeah, definitely. This didn't happen on this shoot but there have definitely been times where I've been, like, "Okay, so this video has a really nice rug in this, you know, in this room. Can I buy this?" When I bought my first apartment I was, like, always shopping basically on photo shoots and video shoots, being like, "Is there any way that's for sale? Can I buy that for my apartment?"
Richie: Well Taylor, thank you so much for speaking to us. The next time you are in the UK please come and see us in the studio because you're welcome any time.
Taylor: Well thanks for inviting me! I'll do that.
Richie: I don't think Zoe would mind if you just turn up one Tuesday morning. And of course this year is your 30th birthday year, so I hope you have a fabulous 30th. I hope you've got a special party planned?
Taylor: I haven't started planning. I don't even know what I'm gonna be doing in December but I think that's—like, the Cats movie is coming out so I have no idea—which I'm in. I didn't explain that at all, but I should have a party this year, shouldn't I?
Richie: You should. I had a karaoke and I did Spice Girls tracks for all my friends and family. They weren't very thrilled about it, but I mean, that's an idea. I don't know if it's an American thing to get really drunk and sing in front of your family?
Taylor: I think that's an amazing idea. Like, I might steal that idea completely because that sounds like the best.
Richie: You know what, you can have that one, Taylor. Thank you so much and don't forget Taylor's brand new single and video for ME! is out now. Taylor Swift, you are absolutely lovely. Thank you so much, my darling.
Taylor: Thank you! Great to talk to you.
Richie: Lovely to speak to you too.
Taylor: Bye!
Richie: Bye!
