it's been a while, i'm long overdue for a rewatch and i'm sad to say i didn't get through the whole manga bc i had commitment issues as a kid but STEIN And just a reminder that you asked for a disaster idiot named virtue to ramble aimlessly about a beloved character

god we LOVE a chaotic, eccentric teacher type and stein gets fuckking EXTRA CREDIT for the (sparkles) dark impulses (sparkles) as the trendy kids say these days.

He's like,,,equal parts sadistic and caring even though it may or may not come naturally to him and i love that. like consciously trying t make up for a core fault is,,,pretty hot,,,But even hotter is,,,not having that instinct but understanding people so well that he can cooperate with like anyone. god i ,,, love that ,,,, i want to be half as cool as him ,,, we have a few similar failings but but he turns out so delightfully goofy, badass, and yummy over all. and speaking of understanding and contROLL stein is so fucking GOOD at controlling soul wavelengths that he can just fuckin use them as weapons like,,,is that not sexy? like oh in this like very partner oriented world, I need no one,,,aomvorinab OKAY SIR (sir guy? id call him sir oah my goD)

(i was too tired to send anything yesterday night, i actually cried, so here i am with the late report back) livestream: not even a mention of the AM, first tv channel: kept showing gigs from 3 days ago (that i'd already seen 27 times) and interviews with bands i'm not interested in, they said something along the lines of 'hopefully we'll show a part of their set, yeah, we'll definitely do that,' ended up showing nothin lol sob 1/7

second tv channel: had 2 ad breaks, just before the first break, the person who had to announce whatever they were showing next, teased AM and smth else, both live, while i could hear alex's oooh's faintly in the background. in the next part, when i thought they were going to show AM cuz they teased it, no AM, but right before the ads again a tease while i could hear a song in the background. when the ads were over, i expected them to show AM first thing, nope, 2/7 

first 2 other gigs (it was at this point that i actually cried so, there you have that), then finally the announcer said smth like 'they're in the middle of their set and more live than this insn't possible, because we're gonna live to the arctic monkeys'. so i was like yes, finally. you know what they do? they cut to the beginning of the set, with the red lights flashing and the boop boop sound (you know what they use in the 4/5 mv) like they open every set. 3/7   

and you don't even have to be a fan to know that it was the beginning cuz, like every opening, you saw them walking onto the stage. so then they played 4/5 obviously, it was bomb af. they played it so tightly, it was crazy (if that's a way to describe a performance lol). so then they cut back to that same announcer, i was so happy they didn't cut off that last riff thing, they would do that on the radio sometimes. 4/7            

then she started saying how she wanted to see the last part of the show and saying goodnight and all that jazz. i literally whispered to my screen 'quit talking!' cuz what i believed is that they were going to cut to the actual live set. take a wild fuckin guess, they didn't lol. before she went off to see the AM herself she announced two other older shows that i'd seen 27 times too, what a surprise. i stopped watching then. so 1 song. we got 1 song. 5/7        

this morning i woke up and read all the articles i could find, most newspapers thought they were among the best bands on the festival. here's a description, loosely translated, i found pretty accurate: the british lads had the charisma, the hip movements and the set list to put a greasy 'organstop' to this festival. (greasy as in greasy hair and organ as the instrument, also i was looking up how to translate the saying they used in the original sentence and 'to snap out of it' came up lol) 6/7            

lastly, i found smth alex said in the concert while reading some of these articles and the way they wrote it is just precious: "Woddalovelybunch, are ya 'aving a nice time?". that article was titled 'lovely lads, balls of steel' by the way. so yeah, thank if you actually read all of that, this was so messy and long, i apologize and thank you for letting me rant x 7/7            

Oh anon im sorry for taking so long to reply and im sorry u had to put up with such bullshit from the festival and whoever’s in charge of broadcasting :’c I wish I could give u a big hug because honestly all this teasing for nothing is so frustrating as a fan

WHy would you even tease people if you’re literally only going to stream one song i don’t understand :’( So frustrating and sad you didn’t get to see their set live on tv ....

At least the boys sounded like they had a great concert (the photos are top quality) , and I hope you’re feeling better and its awful that u had to put up with such disappointing coverage of their set, at this point I’ve accepted the lack of decent festival streaming which is super disappointing
