I did okay at my assessments lads 🥰 I’m officially a freelancer
#i still need to do onboarding + another writing assessment to get more projects#but i can start earning now at the lowest rate ($15/hr)#which is £11.88 uk? definitely not terrible for starting pay#i’m so relieved to have any income stream honestly#like i got contacted today by a recruiter who i have Never heard of that said they found my cv on a cv library#like excuse me?? what cv library is this. if it’s indeed or linkedin you can just say that#it’s suspicious that they didn’t say where they found it imo and it’s also suspicious that i’ve never heard of them#when i tell you there are like zero recruiters in this area (that specialise in education anyway) that are unknown to me#i’m actively in touch with the three that are the most legitimate imo. any extras… both suspicious and unnecessary#like if the three main recruiters here have not managed to put me anywhere; what are these people going to do#i’m skeptical. the subject line also just said ‘ellen call me - job’ like can you be more specific please#but the good news is i don’t have to entertain these people. i mean i’m going to keep looking for a job outside the house because i need#the structure and i need somewhere to go and i also don’t think i will earn a living wage by freelancing#but!! i don’t have to apply for or accept stuff i don’t like. like random unsolicited recruiters 💖#it feels good man#personal
