How the X Men should be introduced on the MCU
Sooooo I was preparing an introspective but knowing the final project is meant to be that I’ll keep my creativity for that one, as of right now and since I’m literally drying up (and this ugly heat is killing my brain) I’ll do a lottle story / guide / theory about the X Men entrance to the MCU
The thing is, mutants won’t be a part of the MCU until the mid 20′s, and with Corona delaying everything, their introduction could even take more time.
What Storyline could introduce them?
If we know something about their introduction is that I’ll be subtle and carefully done, they ain´t throwing a new group of heroes all of the sudden, but characters that are already connected to the X Men could be introduced aemi-early, like Magneto and Xavier (Scarlet Witch) or Storm (Back Panther). We could even be introduced to the X Men without a proper solo movie, but rather an appereance on a crossover movie, or at least I  would do that.
A great storyline from the comics is the Secret Wars crossover event, where two alternative realities clash into one, so the Marvel heroes and villains from both relities have to fight for their world. The original X Men group could participate on the war (Jean, Cyclops, Beast, Ice Man, Angel) as Xavier keeps investigating the X Gene sudden resurgance
(The X Gene: What makes people mutants, it was created by the Eternals, their movie is coming out next year)
The Secret Wars movie could end up with the heroes defeating Dr Doom, who caused that whole multi reality mess, the X Men could somewhat ease his defeat and boom, Doom locks them up on some crazy place/realm and he awakens the X gene around the world, making being a mutant a nightmae for everyone, since their powers would no longer be contained. I also feel like a great after come of Secret Wars would be the erasure of The Avengers, because if you think about it, if you alreday got the Avengers, why would you need the X Men? Of course, the characters would still exist, but the team and initiative would disappear off the world’s minds, or at least of everyone who didn’t work with the Avengers.
Then Xavier has to find a team of mutants to not only protect their race but also find his first proteges, the search starts and that’s how the solo movie starts.

What version of the X-Men should they choose?
First things first, Marvel has to choose a team from the comics, as we know, mixing characters has never worked with the X Men, a solid group could be The Giant Size X Men. It’s a diverse group of heroes, all grown (I’m done with teenagers). This group was created to have more diverse and eye catching heroes under Marvel’s label, so everyone could be interested in their comics; it worked perfectly in the comics, and considering today’s political and inclusive climate, it could work just as well in the movies.
It’s got fan favourites like Wolverine or Nightcrawler, characters who deserve better renditions like Storm or Cyclops, and new faces like ThunderBird and Sunfire.

The only thing I would change would be to add a woman to the team, I would replace Banshee with Rogue, he already got his shot on the X Men: First Class (2009) and you ain’t taking any racial representation since both are white (Banshee is european but honestly nobody cares). She can fly, has extra strength and can absorve powers, much better to a guy who screams and flies. The fans have been asking for a great rendition of Rogue, she’s fierce and strong and the movies made her the super heroe version of Bella from Twilight, disgusting.
Casting Choices
Storm - Michaela Coel, Jodie Turner Smith
Cyclops - Armie Hammer, Nick Robinson, Scott Eastwood
Wolverine - Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hardy
Colossus - Danila Kozlovski
Nightcrawler - Lois Hoffman, Alexander Fehling
Thunderbird - Martin Sensmeier
Sunfire - Nah man, I don’t know any japanese actors, I ain’t taking that headache
Rogue - Emmy Rossum, Victoria Pedretti (she’s from the Marica,Ya meme)
This isn’t the most inclusive team, but it’s definitley a step into the right direction for Marvel, the mutants have to be introduced, from the get go, as a diverse group, independent from the comics orginal line ups, the fact that they’re inspired on the african american community and inmigrants is more than enough for the X Men to be diverse and dynamic.
At last, go read Secret Wars (2015 version) and Giant Size X-Men if you wanna understand this theory a bit better. It’s comic culture and both are great reads.
