is the cure considered goth? i just saw a goth music post that said it was, but my only reference for what goth is is my dad who was one in the 80s, he was literally robert smiths number one fan but insists it’s not goth and if you said it was to any goths at the time they’d skin you
#i dunno if the opinions have changed#obviously they’re very iconic and i’m sure influenced a lot of goth music#my personal knowledge of the scene drops off after my dad did#i’m genuinely cuitions. goths if you’re out there#just looked it up and it defined the cure as 4 entirely different genres at once. which conforms to me that genres r stupid and i hate them
