Head cannon idea for the lulz. Which of the 141 has piercings? What kind of piercings? Who's got the most tattoos? I guess I'm kinda asking what your tattoo/piercing headcannons are.

simon definitely has both piercings AND tattoos, and he’s definitely the most tattooed of the 141. i’m talking like full sleeves on both arms, maybe a few random tats scattered across his chest and definitely one on his asscheek (that he got when he was a recruit and very drunk). i’d imagine a more traditional style for his tattoos, lots of black and white and not too many color tattoos. for piercings, i’ve always headcanoned that simon has a tongue ring. and it stays so hidden because of the mask so nobody would ever assume simon of all people would have such a filthy piercing like that😈

price is second for most tatted. i mean did you guys SEE those pics of his character floating around tumblr? his are a lot less compacted together though, leaving lots of tanned skin between his ink and giving him a much more clean appearance compared to simon’s practically blacked out sleeves. price would also definitely have had an eyebrow bar when he was younger, but he took it out years ago because he was “too old for it.” you can definitely see the scar if you look hard enough for it.

soap would have the most piercings out of anyone just because he’s obsessed with the feeling after he gets pierced. that’s why he’s got two ear piercings on each lobe and an industrial bar across the shell of his left ear. he’s also (definitely) got his dick pierced. i’m not sure what kind he would get for sure, but he’d be the crazy one to willingly do it because “hey they said it’d make sex feel better for me AND them!” he’s got a few random tattoos, a lot of ones from drunken nights scattered amongst more sentimental ones. most definitely has a huge thigh piece on one of his thighs (that he likes to have people ride).

to me, gaz would either have no tattoos or would have like 2 or 3. he seems like he’d be the kind of person to only want sentimental tattoos, so he’d be extremely picky in what he got and where he’d get it. gaz would definitely have earrings though, like little silver hoops that he wears all the time because silver jewelry is just his favorite anyway. he’s been eyeing a nose piercing for ages, but he can’t work up the courage to pierce the cartilage yet. soap’s trying to convince him everyday though.

“Hi Vogue I am Y/N L/N and this is what’s in my bag.”

After she introduces herself, Y/N looks down at the bag in her lap. The bag she had used every single day was a personalized Pleasing mesh bag. It was a light pink color and had a blue ribbon tied onto one of the straps.

It was clear that it meant a lot to her.

“What I carry with me everyday is this.” She says grabbing onto her bag. “You can fit anything in here. And the thing about this is, it’s technically Inez’s diaper bag.”

Y/N then grins at the memory of Harry gifting her the tote.

“This specific bag was gifted to me by my husband a while ago, right before he had launched Pleasing. My son actually loves this bag and has one of his own but smaller. He doesn't go anywhere without it.” Y/N shares.

Setting her carrier onto the wooden coffee table in front of her, the Styles woman reaches into her bag and pulls out a bag of candy. Beau's favorite type.

Y/N remembers the night when Harry had got their son addicted to the chocolate minstrels.

“My son is obsessed with these and when I saw them I had to get them for him.” She laughs. “I spoil my kids way too much.”

The next thing Y/N pulled out was her phone. Just a plain iPhone 14 with a case that she had stolen from Harry or borrowed it, so she said. Once she taps on the screen her face lights up.

Her lock screen was a photo of a newborn Inez sleeping on Harry’s chest with Beau right beside them.

She almost shed a tear.

“This is my phone, nothing special until you look at the lock screen.” Y/N grins. She loved her family so deeply.

After placing her phone onto the table, she slides her hand into her carrier pulling out a blue bandanna. It previously belonged to Harry until Inez came around and slid the bandanna off of her father’s head.

It was truly her favorite thing in the world. You could say it was sort of like a safety blanket for her.

“Harry’s bandanna or should I say Inez’s bandanna. That girl loves this thing so much.”

A small bag of diapers, bibs, toy trucks, hair clips that she had stole back from Harry, kids sunscreen, Love on Tour’s backstage/V.I.P passes, bandaids, Harry’s headphones, her family’s passports and a camera

“Since we’re currently on tour and always traveling I always have to carry my children’s essentials.” Y/N explains looking at all the items laid out in front of her. “You can never be unprepared.”

Just five years ago her bag was filled with very different items than now. She was now a mother and had a family with a man she’s always wanted to grow old with.

Two kids later and she’s become a changed woman, a better one. She’s always valued the life she had, especially right now. Y/N couldn't have been more happy.

“Another toy!” Y/N laughs, pulling out another toy from her bag. “A mini statue of our dog Kendall who was actually named after Kendall Roy from Succession since Harry is obsessed with that show.” She holds out a miniature dog in her palm.

Following the toy, she slides out a pair of rings that clearly belonged to Harry Styles since they were his initials.

Y/N leans forward and slips the rings into her back pocket. She remembers the last time Harry had lost jewelry. It was at Coachella and he went insane looking for them.

“We are not losing any more rings.”

lisTEN I knowwwww it’s like 42 years after you posted, but I was too stubborn about these pieces to settle for anything less than a full collection of all my thoughts (and some of my incoherent screaming too lmfao) so thank you for bearing with me XD but oh my god I genuinely cannot express to you how much it means to me that you liked Dead Hearts enough to draw art for it—like for my stories to inspire such beautiful art into creation is just overwhelmingly amazing and I will always be in awe over that TT.TT And the fact that you took Fall Out Boy and Fence—two of my favorite things in the world—and tied them together!!! DELIGHTS me beyond all comprehension and reason. I really never thought there was any way for Fall Out Boy to mean any more to me than they already did, but motherfuckeR you played me for a fool and wove such bright and radiant emotions into the new album by connecting it so gorgeously and carefully to this art set—truly, it’s overwhelmingly amazing and just beyond words

The first piece with Seiji holding the heart!! I am OBSESSED with it dude like it is perfection itself. This was my phone screen for months and it probably will be again in the future tbh it’s just got EVERYTHING from the vibes to the lyrics to the beauty jsdfa I love it so much. I so love how cohesive your pieces always are—like they look like they belong together in a way I know takes a lot of thought and skill to make happen, and it’s an aspect of your art that I always notice and associate with you. Like you’d be bomb as fUCK at art portfolios and samplings and shit because the collections you create are always so beautifully tied together in a way that makes all the pieces build on each other even though they all stand alone gorgeously too. I don’t know if I make sense, but trust me, I’m right and you’re incredibly talented. I really adore the textured canvas you used that looks like water color paper and how the brushes you use and the way you color and shade really feels like watercolor too—I’m sure I’ve said it before because it is something I love so much about your style, but water color is one of my favorite aesthetics and I am obsessed with that way you translate that into digital art. In this piece, I love the billowing clouds of darkness blooming in from all the edges and reaching toward the center—I loveeee how they’re colored like seeping ink into heavy paper, and the speckles over them like stars are so pretty and perfect. I also love how the clouds overlap in places and you can see that little overlap in edges like you do when wet ink layers over an edge of dry ink. Just so so cool in a tactile way. And I adore the inverse speckles of black and white where the white stars are most prominent over the clouds and the black splatters are most noticeable over the blank paper. And one more thing about the night sky clouds, I love how some of them start to reach over Seiji and we see the background interacting with him and even slipping in front of him, like it’s a piece of his magic too. The bright light of the sunbeam is BRILLIANT omfg I just love the whole composition of this piece so much, and the sun framing Seiji’s head with the beams shooting off and cutting clean through all the clouds (except the ones reaching for Seiji!!) is so pretty, and the little moon and stars hung in the little windows made by the second circle around the beams is just soooo pretty.

And the LYRICS oh my god SO perfect jsfka I love the way they curve along that outer ring and the quote—and the second lifetime—is just absolutely stunning in how perfect it is here. And it really IS obvious with how Seiji’s framed that he’s the sunshine of Nick’s second lifetime TT.TT I’m emoTIONAL. And Seiji,,, oh my hell,,, he is just so serenely beautiful and I can’t cope with it at all. I also just love the unearthly, haunting beauty of him here because I so read it as Nick’s conceptualization of Seiji and it’s just so gorgeous. Seiji’s got a beautiful profile and it looks so lovely set against the bright glow—it’s such a striking image. The gently closed eyes are so pretty and I love the swath of shimmer over his eyelids and the sharp outline of his lashes. I very much appreciate you facing his head over his right shoulder so his mole is visible <3 and the shape of his eyebrow is so aesthetic jsfkjs I just really love how the set of them is relaxed but the shape of them is still sharp and pointy. His lips are so pretty too omgg I love the outline of them in profile and the soft expression on them. It’s very gentle in a way and serene, and also enigmatic because it’s both fully neutral and almost a smile. Ooooh and the swoop of his hair is perfection!! I love the sweep of his bangs and shape of the highlight pooling over them and how you define his bangs with that little bit of white following along the line art of them over forehead and into hair. PLUS the tiny little bit of hair sort of sticking up at the back of his skull is darling! And I fucking loveee the earrings!! The dangling black star burst to mimic the background is genius and the chain and cuff connected to it makes it even better—I seriously love that style! And it’s just the perfect accessory to his whole outfit!! You could be a fashion designer and I am not even kidding about it.

Seiji’s clothes here fit him so gorgeously and the vibe of them is absolutely perfect for his aesthetic. The wide collar that bares his neck fully paired with the simple black choker is a dream pairing. And the long trailing sleeves!! I love that shit to death!!! The shape of the openings of the sleeves are so good too!! I love the crisp upside down tear drop shape of the right sleeve. I just find the crisp cut of that shape really appealing lol and the drape of his other sleeve over his forearm is so pretty too and the way it folds and creases in the bend of his elbow has weight and thickness to it that just makes it feel real and believable. The way you use shading on the inside of the sleeve rather than crisp lines  really suits the shape of the sleeve and how it’s dripping over Seiji’s arm here. I just really love how wide and long his sleeves are, almost like a cloak of night around him. It gives such a lovely silhouette! I love the stars on his shoulders that lightly fall down his sleeves and chest; they do a really good job of matching the earrings and the background without overtaking the whole outfit, but rather enhancing it. Also love the splattering of dark spots on the lower left side of the piece and the furling smoky clouds higher on the right side that reach over the sunbeams to lick at Seiji. They just really subtly balance each other out and frame Seiji in a way that the viewer doesn’t necessarily even consciously register, but makes a difference subconsciously in creating the focal point of the piece and having the balance in it. And again with the specific brush and coloring techniques you use, I just love the way his shirt is colored with that really light wash of watered-down ink. I just love how the coloring is all consistent and even—it feels nebulas and antique and so perfectly ‘etherial witch’. And the corset!!! I love corsets; I just think they’re really pretty and by god is Seiji really pretty in them!!! I love the sharp V point of the bottom and the way it tapers the top into to rest of the outfit, giving it actual shape. The design up the corset is so pretty and enthralling! I always read it as tall trees with reaching branches and I really like how a couple little ‘roots’ show past the bottom edge and then how they all reach at different lengths over the top, not leaving an even line at all. And the piece is just as badass if read as veins of darkness instead! Once again, I love the cohesion across your vision for Seiji’s clothes and the fact that this piece fits in with the look book I commissioned is delightful! The choice for a lighter bottom works really well here and I like how the outfit is almost a gradient from dark top to the corset of light with dark branches to light pants. And now that I’m saying that, I can ALsO see this as his top tucked into the bottoms and the corset being hollow—entirely made up of the branches and gaps showing to the fabric underneath it (plus the support structure of it, but all that would of course be cleverly concealed within the design). Either way of reading it, it’s fucking gorgeous! Aaaa Seiji’s hands strung in silver threads of magic tangled in the heart!!! SO pretty!! I really love the pose because it all just feels very “beauty beyond comprehension captured in murals and stained glass in churches and shrines”. He really does look like some figure of worship with the heart as his symbol (and isn’t it lovely that it’s Nick’s heart?) There’s something so lovely and regal in the whole positioning, and the way his hands float around the heart, almost cupping it, with sting winding all around fingers and wrists is just,,, so pretty. I love every detail of it so fucking much. This entire piece is just unreal in its beauty, I cannot explain it. But, man, deadass when I think of Dead Hearts, this is the image that I see in my mind

And the scene of Nick digging his own grave!! God it’s just so pretty and atmospheric,, like it has that tragic and haunting brand of creepiness…more like macabre** than truly creepy, but my point is that it’s beautiful and I love every aspect of the scene you built here! Once again, the heavy paper texture of the canvas and the watercolor wash of the the base is so appealing to me and it works like impossibly well with Dead Hearts and graveyard scenes!! As always, your ability to build a scene like a frame out of a black and white animation is incredible! I love the perspective and positioning of Nick and his grave—like the way the foreground has a tombstone and some tufts of grass with flowers and some bushes pushing into the frame, even blocking a little corner of Nick’s grave rather than having our view of him completely unhindered and straight forward is so fantastic at grounding us in the scene, making us feel like we’re actually there. And the gravestones and wrought iron gate visible in the background adds to the scene as well, fleshing it all out and continuing it instead of just cutting off. So yeah. I will forever and always be blown away by the way you build scenes . Oh MAN nick’s grave looks so cool!! I love how it’s opening up at us, stretching like a yawning maw from the perspective so it widens nearer us, like it’s welcoming us to step in. And the lines denoting the depth are really ominous in the best way!! I love how morbid it feels haha and the dirt piled up on the sides and the little tufts of grass still reaching over the gravestone are great details as well!! And then Nick looks so perfect ughhh I LOVE it. I love how the features of his face disappear because it feels Right for this moment for those personal, human details to be fading and this little glimpse we see of him here is almost showing us an echo more than a man. But you can still see the seams holding him together <33 I love that. And the ripped jeans and black tank top!! Absolutely ICONIC!! And I love the floof of his hair!! Also the pose/image of him digging up his own grave is just so good and ugh you captured it beautifully the moonbeam cutting across is also so pretty and I love how dark the scene is and how starkly that light cuts through it and also gleams/shines off that headstone near us—it’s just so pretty!! And I love the lyrics you chose to pair this with and how you wrote them! Like the cursive heaven sweeping across the page is so pretty and I just so love how dead-end and melancholic that line is with this picture. You brought Nick’s death to life TT.TT

I know I already mentioned it last year but I am still so absolutely in awe of the way you casually predicted and captured scenes in these next two drawings before I even posted them—and you got them so fucking right!! I am just forever losing it over this whole set because holy hell you said ‘lemme just read your mind’ and then did. 

Seiji waking up alone in bed only to look over and see the remnants of Nick is just so beautiful and I love the soft fall of his hair and the sharp lines of his face and the hesitant look on his face, like he knows something is up and that dread is collecting in the pit of his stomach jaskdf the tiny little almost-reach of his hand toward their book is just so good!! And every detail of it is perfection. Like the bookmark sticking out of the book, obviously just began and far from finished?? And the rose still carefully kept by Seiji’s bed, but beginning to lose petals? So so melancholy and pretty and perfectly representative of the moment and the mood TT.TT Also love the fancy clock and little details on the nightstand! They’re so good!! And his tea too <33 And the big thick folds of his blankie look so comfy and nice, I love it—and I love the shading all through the blanket and on Seiji! It’s so pretty!! And again, the mood is just perfectly captured and communicated in every detail, line, and choice of shading. Like, I love the black encroaching all around Seiji, bleeding in at the corners and leaving him and the nightstand both in partial light!! You’ve got an amazing eye for composition, it’s truly incredible. And ugh Seiji truly is the prettiest!! I love his pajamas here too—you managed to make even them look elegant and pretty lmfao and for real love the position of that hand���how tentative and delicate it is and ugh it’s lovely and painful <33 and his expression of my GOSH too perfect!! The little part in his lips and press of his eyebrows,,, it’s too much, im crying!! And the sharp cheekbones with the shading underneath is striking as well!! I know I’m all over the place, but there’s just so much beauty to look at and speak on and I am just OWO trying to look everywhere at once but I hope you understand how absolutely perfect this is TT.TT

Ughhh and Seiji kneeling at Nick’s grave,,, the absolute grief and heartbreak in his hunched shoulders and fallen head are magnificent, and I love the messy lines of his magic like tangled webs binding him, and his pretty hand weaving its useless magic over Nick’s dead heart <33 it’s just such a lovely scene you captured here and the emotion is just overwhelmingly tragic. I love how the canvas is black and the art is in stark white on top—an inverse to the rest of the set that helps tell the story so perfectly. And man the shovel left standing alone at the edge of the grave is such a perfect detail to drive home the loneliness of Nick’s final act. I also really love Seiji’s outfit here—the trailing cloak with the zodiac in the corner and the poet’s sleeves are always bangers and they cast such a dramatic and pretty silhouette here!! The vague form in the grave is also disturbing af and I love it! Seiji’s form over it just makes it even better <3 seriously the bowed head and crossing strings and rounded shoulders and broken magic at his fingertips are lovely and tell the whole story TT.TT You can see Seiji’s love in the devastation of his figure bent over Nick’s grave and it’s beautiful TT.TT

I cannot fit into any amount of words how deeply I love this set and how much it means to me that you felt compelled to draw it jsdfa it is gorgeous beyond my comprehension and I wish I could ever hope to properly convey that 💜💜💜 thank you a million times for bringing Dead Hearts to life TT.TT <33

a/n: so, thanks to my cousins who’ve been talking about it often in our groupchat, i’ve gotten hella obsessed with the anime, “persona 4: the animation″! i frickin’ love yu and kanji; they’re my new anime husbandos LOL. anyways, i know i mainly write for iida (BNHA), but i figured i’d give this a try ‘cause why not? (and besides, i wanted to express my love for yu and kanji and maybe feed some simps LMAO). i should also point out that because this is my first time writing for persona 4, the characters might be OOC; i apologize :( but regardless, i hope y’all will like it!

   Usually, you would have spent the weekend like any other weekend. Watch anime and eat nothing but your favorite food by yourself.

   And well? You were not by yourself anymore. Instead, you found yourself in your room with your boyfriends, Yu and Kanji. You had your lap on Yu’s lap, feeling his hand stroke your (H/C) hair, as Kanji leaned against the gray-haired male. Both of them were talking about something, but you did not pay much attention to it.

   In all honesty, you were still in shock that you were able to spend moments like this with them. Well, it was more of you being shocked that you ended up in a poly relationship with the duo in the first place!

   You remembered you had wanted to confess your feelings towards Yu and Kanji, but you could not. For one, you were too much of a coward. Two, you knew both of them would not feel the same way (Yu was extremely popular with the ladies, and Rise did seem to have a bit of a crush on him. Meanwhile, Kanji seemed to be crushing hard on Naoto). And three, you would have difficulty deciding which person to confess. You did not even know if either of them were okay with a poly relationship! 

   But of course, you cannot forget to mention you did not want to make your friendship with them awkward by confessing to them and having them reject you. You could not even imagine yourself hanging around the boys as often if that were to occur!

   Finding out that Yu and Kanji just so happened to feel the same way about you felt like a bit of a dream. Reminiscing to their flustered faces after their confessions (although Kanji was much more flustered than Yu), you swore your jaw almost dropped to the ground (literally). You even almost considered asking Chie to knock you out with her kung-fu moves to wake you up if this was a dream.

   Nope! It turns out it was not a dream at all. 

   And of course, you said yes.

   Whether or not you were exaggerating, you did not care. But that day felt like one of the best days ever in your life. No other day could compare to it. And since that day, you felt lucky to call Kanji and Yu your boyfriends.

   Back to the present, you slowly felt a sense of drowsiness overcome you as your eyes were beginning to close. There something about the feeling of Yu’s hand against any part of your body that easily comforted you, especially whenever he is calming you down from crying. It must have been a feeling of comfort if you could put it that way. It was so comforting that it was already making you feel sleepy. 

   But you know what? No point in trying to fight your eyes back open. Besides, you have been tired the whole day.  And the position you were in was also comfortable.

   “Hey, do you think they would like this?” Kanji turned around towards Yu, holding up a handmade plush he had finished. It was supposed to replicate one of your favorite anime characters. Kanji originally wanted to make it small like his usual plushies. However, he had taken notice of how you preferred the larger ones that you could hug.

   “I saw them watching some anime series the other day and found out they love this character a whole damn lot.” Kanji explained. While Yu noticed how proud he was of his creation, he also noticed some slight jealousy in his tone. The gray-haired male assumed that Kanji felt insecure about seeing their significant other practically squeal over an anime character. Not that you would ever break up with them for that. You would never be disloyal to them for an anime character!

   As Yu’s eyes looked over the plush once again, he smiled softly and reached out to take it from Kanji. “Yeah, it is pretty cute,” he answered, feeling the softness of the creation against his skin. He could already imagine you holding it tightly as if your life depended on it. “Do you wanna give it to them?”

   “I mean, yeah, I was kinda planning to,” Kanji rubbed the back of his neck. Then he looked down at you. “Hey, (Y/N).” 

   No response. Kanji waited a few moments before trying again. “(Y/N)?” he called your name, making his voice a little louder. 

   Yu also attempted to get a response by gently tapping your shoulder. But when you let out a soft snore, both of them realized you had fallen asleep.

   “Okay, well, I guess I can give it to them later, then,” Kanji said, lowering his voice so he would not wake you up.

   “Yeah,” Yu nodded, putting the (F/A/C) plush down. He figured you should sleep on your bed instead. So Yu carefully lifted you into his arms and stood up, carried you in a bridal style, and walked over towards your bed to put you down. He made sure your head was resting on your pillow before he pulled the blanket over your body.

   For a while, your boyfriends watched you (non creepily!) as your chest rose up and down from your breathing. For the most part, you did not move often in your sleep. Although every once in a while, you would make a noise. 

   “You know,” Kanji spoke up amidst the silence; a blush was already covering his cheeks. “I never realized how cute (Y/N) was when they sleep." Then his eyes widened. "N-Not that I’m trying to be a creep or anything!” He began defending himself, like Yu had some suspicions, as he waved his hands. “I’m just saying! I mean--”

   “It’s fine, Kanji,” Yu chuckled, interrupting him. “I understand. I mean, cute is a bit of an understatement. They are quite endearing. And not just during their sleep.”

   More moments of the boys watching you passed. At this point, Kanji was developing the urge to climb into bed with you and hold you close against his chest in an attempt to cuddle you. Meanwhile, Yu felt a pang at his heart due to the sight in your peaceful form.

   It seems like you had that effect on your boyfriends. And you did not even know it.

   “Should we...leave or something?” Kanji leaned over towards Yu and whispered. “I dunno. I think it would be a bit weird if we kept staring at them like this.”

   Said boys averted their eyes towards you. You had your hands reached out, almost as if you were trying to grab something. At first, they were confused (did you want something?), but Yu walked over towards your bed and kneeled in front of you. Out of curiosity, he placed his hands into yours, and you immediately grabbed it, holding it tight as if you were scared he would slip out of your grip. Yu smiled softly again, then turned back. “Or maybe we should cuddle them?" he suggested.

   Kanji knew he must have looked like a tomato, but he did not care at this point (Not like anyone else could see). You being clingy was something that always made his heart race. He could already hear your voice whining their names and saw you pouting with those puppy dog eyes.

   Damn it! You were way too cute-- no, way too ENDEARING for him! He almost could not take it!

   “Alright, I guess we could,” Kanji mumbled. Carefully, he climbed into bed, getting into the position where he could big spoon you and wrap his arms around your waist. Yu did the same thing, except he was facing you. The boys looked at you with loving glances while Yu gently caressed your cheek using his free hand (your grip on his other hand never released).

   “Sleep well, (Y/N),” The gray-haired male whispered, placing a kiss on your cheek before brushing a strand of your (H/C) hair out of your face. After Kanji decided to do the same thing, except he placed a kiss on your neck, they eventually fell asleep with you secured in your arms.

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

The first fanfiction i read was for The Lunar Chronicles when I was like 11?? and it was 100% on accident and it scarred me because it was a hardcore porn one with a period kink and i was like WHAT IS THIS??? OH MY GOD???? LMAOOOOO i didn’t pick it back up until i was 13-14 and really got into the Fairy Tail fandom. I still reread my favorites on ff.net cause i love them. 

As for writing, I wrote a horrible, terrible x-men fanfiction when I was twelve. (my friend still brings it up and REFUSES to delete it so it still gets comments and views, that shit HAUNTS ME ELE.) then tried again for Fairy Tail, posted like two chapters before taking it down cause i wasn’t really feeling it. And then I posted The Intimacy Of Being Understood and here we are.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

Omniscient third person. I don’t like it. Like I can understand that it can be a little hard to stay in one person’s perspective but, in my opinion, if you can, it shows how disciplined you are as a writer. Plus, i just get so confused when I go from A’s thoughts to suddenly what B is thinking about A. 

When writers use ‘ ‘ instead of “ “. When writers put thoughts in ‘ ‘ instead of just italicizing them. It’s small things but like they just bother me sO MUCH. most of the time i can ignore it and try to enjoy but other times i just dip. 

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

@espoir-et-reves !!!!! THEIR SHISAKU FICS ARE SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And they have a warring states one going on THAT I AM SO OBSESSED WITH. 

@writer168 idk if they’re really “underrated” but THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT FICS ON AO3. Like theres an AU with sakura, kiba, and shino that i reread constantly because it just. is. so. fucking. GOOD. and they posted a new one that i’m YELLING about. 

@eggtoasties okay they only have 2 in the naruto fandom (one shisaku which is still ongoing) BUT THEIR WRITING STYLE IS SO NICE?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I still go back and reread their shikasaku one cause UGH i can’t get enough. I love it.

Character: SAKURA. I will read anything with Sakura as the main character and her being a fuckin badass or becoming a badass. I love her.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

aha.. haha.. well. I check my email like three times an hour. its the first thing i check in the mornings too. I’m literally a whore for praise and literally eat up feedback like its going out of style. I also reread a lot of my stuff because i make so many mistakes and spelling errors, or the spacing is weird oR SOMETHING. plus, literally any and all comments make my day, i go back and reread them cause they just make me feel so tingly and warm like “wow. this person enjoyed the fic/my writing enough to tell me. thats HUGE!”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Angry, feral, bloodied, morally gray women. They aren’t bad guys, they’re probably the good guy, but that doesn’t mean they cant be fucking raging at the world with raw knuckles and blood on their teeth. I just love an angry woman who struggles with her emotions and just has so much inner conflict but that doesn’t take away from her character or badassery, it adds to it. 

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

The fake dating or miscommunication troupe. LIKE GUYS JUST TALK. AND TELL EACH OTHER OMFG. the entire like obliviousness of “nah they dont like me” while the They holds their hand and kisses their cheek. MOFO WHAT. it makes me so impatient and like mad HAAHHAHA. its probably because i’m a pretty confrontational person so seeing stuff like that just “cmon bro, USE YO HEAD.”

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

I have yet to receive a negative comment! Which i was really surprised about tbh. As for deadlines or pressure to update, i just kind of do whatever. I do set goals, but i set them flexible enough that hey, if i can’t do it, that’s okay. 

I have a lot of mini goals, like “i want to write this chapter and get it done this week” and then the large goal is “FINISH BY END OF MAY” so i have time. 

Actually, now that I think on it, the entire pressure to update thing is probably why i’m waiting until I have all of OL&W written to post it weekly,, cause well. I wouldn’t wanna leave you guys waiting as I tried to write and work out the next chapters and stuff, you know?

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

None of my experiences match up to anything I write tbh,,, probably the only thing that is me in my writing is maybe the emotional turmoil? I’m pretty emotionally and mentally mature because from a pretty young age i started forming my own opinions, started looking into the world around us and being like “dude what the fuck this is not what disney advertised”. Then i started talking (read: arguing and debating) with my dad about a lot of it. So, like emotions are kind of hard for me. Like i’m pretty good at controlling them or understanding them, but still. idk its hard to explain ig.

Like the weight of stress, the anger, the sadness. It’s kind of therapeutic to write. Cause i don’t know how to put those feelings to verbal words so writing them really helps. 

As for my readers’ image? Probably like some kind of hunched over figure typing away in the dark with a maniacal grin on their face. I honestly don’t know AHHAHAHA but it is fun to think about. I think they’d see me as someone with potential but a lot of room to grow and someone who is imperfect but in a charming way LMAOOOO

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

I’m gonna be real honest. Its probably like a 2. I’m a bit of a control freak so I almost always go in chronological order, my writing is pretty linear. Unless, i get bored and jump to one of my fav parts. It's pretty much i sit down, i open the doc, read over my notes and just start writing. 

It’s a little boring to explain AHAHAHA but once i get into the groove of things its really fucking great, I can like feel myself in the world, I can feel what i want the characters to, i love it. I catch myself mouthing the words as i type too, which i find hilarious.

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I rather like how raw my writing is sometimes. Which might sound really vain, but i do like the way i word things or describe things. I love juxtaposition and repetition, or making a good ole circle back to some minute detail that wouldn’t stand out until i repeat it at the end and you’re like “omg” AHAHAHAHA.

Like those little poetic snippets or certain wording i just sit back and go “damn thats kinda good nadia! go you!’ HAHAHA  

40. How did you come up with the idea for The Intimacy Of Being Understood?

AAAAA this fic is like my first child, my pride and joy LMAO

so the idea initially came when i was reading some fic, idk if it was even naruto, but i was like “i don't like this, but i do like the rain symbolism.” And I knew i wanted to write something kind of slow paced, something a little sad and angsty, but would show KakaSaku slowly but surely falling in love.

Idk if you’ve noticed but a lot of my fics, the pairings don’t change each other dramatically. They accept each other as they are and then they grow with together. Like that acceptance is something i just love writing, its so subtle, it isn’t something you declare. Its simply “I am going to love you. I am going to love you despite your flaws and faults. I am going to love you unconditionally because I know you, I understand you, and there is nothing you could do to drive me away.” 

The fic kind of wrote itself after that first scene. I kept going back to the rain, go being ghosts, and resurrection, and the small epiphanies one gets. I wanted to focus on each character’s growth with each other. They didn’t find light in life because of each other, but with each other. And i think that’s my favorite thing about that fic. 

I wanted something raw and real and just something beautiful. I’m actually really proud of it tbh. Would i go back and rewrite/edit it? Oh of course! I’d do that with every single one of my fics, but i’m not gonna cause i think its in its rawest form right now. :))))

so the funny thing is, i rarely start a piece out actually intending it to be lineless. with that specific piece i basically did the sketch, the lineart, a flat colour layer underneath, and then i changed my mind and wanted to make it lineless so i turned off the lineart layer and went through tidying up the colour layer. i also turned the lineart layer back on a low opacity to use as a reference if i needed it :)

i hope that makes sense / is helpful!!! i use procreate on my ipad and jingsketch basics brushes which are really cool :)

I find some odd beauty and respect in creating art of the dead - it's like... making death beautiful and honoring the creature by immortalizing it in an art form. I personally photograph roadkill (that shit's confused the fuck outta drivers lmao) with the goal of forcing the brutality of it onto viewers and just make you think "okay yeah I need to drive more carefully." I don't know if that technically qualifies as vulture culture as I don't really... use the corpses, but nevertheless, I really enjoy doing it. You know her fanwork because EVERYONE and their cats know her Naruto series fanart, of especially Uchiha Itachi and his family.

My history - how I landed in the fandom

As a fifteen? sixteen? year old, I read one fanfic of a fandom I didn’t know. It was a Reader x Sasuke fanfiction. My dyslexic brain couldn’t tell the difference between ‘Sasuke’ (love interest) and ‘Sakura’ (rival), so it was a really strange experience. 

I bravely dipped a toe into the Naruto fandom after that, without ever having read the manga or seen the anime. I read more fics, I collected fanart, then finally stumbled upon the manga volume 6 or 7. I promptly fell in love with Sasuke?

BUT THEN TEENAGE-ME STUMBLED UPON LILY’S ARTWORK OF ITACHI

I WAS SMITTEN. I showed it to my friend via the website Quizilla (which doesn’t exist any more).

My history - how I wanted to find more for 10 years

I obsessively collected images of all Uchihas, and the Lily artworks were my most prized ones. I had never had access to her website. Over the past 10 years I collected any piece of artwork I could find. Every year (usually it’s less than a year) I go on a searching spree.  I specifically search and collect her artwork. 

I hunt for NARUTO fanart images that haven’t seen yet

I hunt for images that she made for other fandoms (such as Death Note, Final Fantasy VII, etc.)

I hunt for BETTER SIZE pictures because most of her images are like 300x300 pixels, which is smaller than a credit card.* 

I always checked the deviantART ‘Lily fan-club’ group.

I’ve collected a best friend whose name is Lilly and who draws art too(now I jest. That one has an extra letter L) 

I have ‘Lily artwork’ folder numbers 1 to 5. Every time I find an artwork (that I’ve already seen) I hope it’s maybe a few pixels bigger than the copies I already have (my standards dwindled ok?).  I also hope to find maybe one or two artworks that I missed during a previous spree. 

The added difficulty is, that a lot of visual artists imitated her style, drew over her work, 1 on 1 copied images. So over the years I’ve micro-studied her tiny artwork images to see what makes a real ‘Lily’ artwork. 

I had rationally given up on finding her, but I still hoped. I wanted to see if I could maybe find artwork of hers that I had never seen before. I knew she’d made X number of fanarts on her website (that I never had the opportunity to visit). I thought that maybe someone on the internet would find her page someday and tell the deviantART Lily fanclub. 

My plottwist discovery 

I never thought it would be me? That I would be the person who would find her. AND I FOUND HER. I’M SO HAPPY.

I’m one hundred percent sure it’s her. I have written proof of this artist admitting she’s Lily + I have spent years experience of micro-appreciating her artwork and differentiating it from other artists’works. My expert eye tells me it’s true.

Her MOST RECENT UPDATE was made 11 NOV 2018. That’s only a week ago!

This crazy weekend

I started my picture-saving spree on friday morning, and found her on sunday afternoon. 

My first reaction was to save all links, and then click the red X on the top of the screen because HOLY SHIT. I found THE Lily back. 

I keep thinking, ‘oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I’ve loved your work for ten years and I found you back’. My mind is all over the place. So this day is hectic and weird.

I’m not able to calm down this fast. So I’m taking it on my pace. I want to share this URL with everyone, but what if she doesn’t want to be found?

She left the fandom 10 years ago. Only 7 years ago I learnt that she had left to because her artwork got stolen/re-uploaded all the time by people who didn’t give credit, and that she had taken up her wish to become a mangaka. For the longest time, that’s all I knew. 

Future: responsibility

It’s very much possible she kept the divide between ‘Lily’ and her current online zone, because she doesn’t want to be found.  

If I share the URL... and lots of other superfans suddenly flood her space with messages that say “plz draw itachi again!!1!!”  ...then she might be unhappy. I don’t wish that on her. I can not irresponsibly share the URL that leads to her. 

I feel a lot of responsibility!

On there, save all the images of the NARUTO fanart that I had not ever seen before. (I found at least 1 fanart image that I’ve never seen before.)

* = I was firmly convinced that all artists always worked on print-paper sized canvases (and that I was just missing out on the wallpaper-sized pictures Lily must have uploaded, that I wasn’t searching hard enough). I kept that conviction until got into a romantic relationship with an Australian artist who drew on small miniature online canvases as well. “I don’t want to change my brush size settings”, my darling said. I yelled hard in caps lock in Dutch, English, German, and French. Now that artist draws on beautifully big canvases. And I know better than to expect big sizes or enter relationships when I’m on the other side of the world (Europe). Lily knows better too, because when I saved one of her new artworks, the file-type was literally “LARGE JPG”. Aaaah. <333333

Okay so first of all the vibesssss holy shit soft morning are like my favorite thing ever it’s just so sweet and happy and I love it and you captured all of that so well like !!!! The soft morning glow through the windows lighting the room and falling over them and the bed so prettily??? Please I’m obsessed. Also I love that the window is lined in golden glow it just really gives a stellar vibe. And I love how down to earth their bed is—you know that’s Eugene’s doing haha. And I love that their blanket is purple!!!! That’s one of my favorite colors and I love to see it <33

OkaY but JESSE. Holy shit gab. No offense but you should draw him more 👀👀👀 like for real he is SO pretty it’s insane. I’m just. Staring. It is no wonder Eugene can’t stop looking at him jsfkhsha I just am in love with the idea that Eugene woke up before jesse and got distracted before actually making it out of bed, staying to watch his peacefully sleeping boyfriend with tender love <33 but anyway, jesse is gorgeous beyond words. He looks so sweet in sleep and the little highlights on his eyelids are SO pretty and actually the way you’ve done the lighting makes his skin look dewy and he just looks absolutely angelic. And like I love his expression!! He’s so peaceful and pretty I can’t stand it. His nose is so cute I think it needs lots of kissessss and I really love that Eugene’s brushing a gentle thumb over Jesse’s lip, that’s so cute and sweet and Jesse really does have a pretty mouth uwu and the coloring in this is amazing in general because like it’s blended really prettily in a way that looks painted and I am a slut for that style, but it’s just SO GORGEOUS on Jesse’s face I’m w o w. Like the highlights are so pretty because of course the light can’t help but be drawn to this boy <33 but the touches on his lids are great and that highlight down his nose is so good and the slight ruddiness to his cheeks is perfect and the way his sweet yellow hair is spilled over pillows with that little bit of light splashing over it!!! Like dude you did Jesse Coste so much justice here I can’t believe this was your first time drawing him!! Ooo but back to his hair, i so love how you drew it—you got his dumb swooshy bangs so perfect and the gentle ways it’s waving onto the pillows is so good and that little cowlick on the opposite side is so cute and wonderful. And he’s in yellow!!! I love him in yellow. He looks so fucking cute. And I love his little hand over the blankies and the other one thrown up into the pillows. Also I love how many pillows they have. Fuck yeah we love that and Jesse looks so pretty in them 😌

Aaaa Eugene is so so so in love just!! The way he’d gently caressing Jesse’s face, touch lingering on his lips just because god Jesse is so gorgeous in the morning light and he’s all Eugene’s and isn’t that really something? I just love Eugene being caught off guard sometimes by how grateful he is to have Jesse and this feels like one of those moments to me. Also hell yeah to Eugene sleeping shirtless—I love that and it just suits him really well. Also live him being in burnt orange pants because they’re in each other’s colors and I love that shit so much!!! Just! So cute! And heh I never say no to the chance of seeing Eugene’s back uwu it’s a very nice back and those arms are looking good! And like again dude the coloring is so pretty and cool!! I love how you’ve used it to capture muscle tone and stuff sans line art, that’s a really neat technique and I applaud you for being able to do it XD AND it do perfectly fits with the softness of the piece (as does the tinted line art, I love that shit). Anyway my point is that Eugene has a very nice back and you drew it real well and I love his hair omfg you got his lil curl <333 and his adoration is so obvious on his face just those soft eyes and perfectly happy smile. He just loves Jess so much 😭😭😭 seriously you captured all of that love on his face perfectly.

And like the blanket and pillow are drawn so well and the pretty diffused light is my FAVORITE and it looks so pretty on them and just aaaaaaaaaaaaaa everything about this is so pretty and soft and sweet and full of love <333

for the first in a while, I'm gonna ... try to take it easy, today.  

I actually have a lot to do but I really need to chill the fuck out for a second and take a breather.  my OCD's made my life remarkably difficult lately and I've begun to disassociate in order to cope.  I know disassociation plays a key role in obsessive-compulsive disorders; I know my OCD's fairly severe and it's been getting worse as I get older, but I'm not...usually this bad.  Even when under stress.

for example, a batch of 200 commissioned banner icons suddenly turns into 400+, and I'm still not done because I can't stop keep remaking them.  

oh, this one's coloring is off. but these frames are split second to each other ... can't have that, gotta redo 'em. 

 wait, the pixels are...'weird' looking in the corner, here.  rejected.

this one could've been cropped way better.  how could I expect them to use this?

why is this one in the 'final version' folder when the border around it overlapped a part of the icon?

I need to redo these 73 because the shadow is too dark and blocky beneath the icon.  it’s supposed to be a fade.  it’s what they ordered and you’re not giving them what they asked for.

yesterday, my OCD got triggered about 3 times?  I have a couple of forms.  I had a breakdown in front of my mother after she came home and asked me if I ate and I know I must've made some kinda stupid face that gave it away because seconds after she'd asked, I realized I didn't know what the hell ate other than the toast she'd watched me eat before she left for work at 9am.  It was 11pm when she asked.  

I also had mini-breakdown while talking to my customer and it was terribly embarrassing.  I got a nosebleed to top it all off too lmao  ( i'm so sorry if you're reading this, john omfg you've been the best to me and I'm sorry because I'm sure all you'd wanted was icons to rp sdfkjsd )

but I just. 

All of my friends think OCD is just me having high ass standards or just being 'know-it-all'.  I've been called that all my life.  In fact, I've been called that by friends I thought would never say anything like that about me because I thought we were friends

We live in this new age of 'awkward is cute'.   It's hip to be square, cool to be uncool, and sexy to be nerdy and quirky.  and there isn’t any better way to declare your individuality and weirdness than branding yourself 'so OCD' about something.  

Ahaha.

I fucking loathe people who do this.

OCD isn't a quirk or a set of tendencies.  It's not fucking buzzf.eed list, not a little buzzf.eed quiz you can take and readily relate to the results; it's an incapacitating, isolating disease that makes you afraid of your own mind.

If my friends could see, just once, what it's like for me, when I'm caught in an obsessive-compulsive loop, maybe then they'd finally understand me when I say ''''it's bad''''.

Even Something as simple as drawing a line-art from a sketch turns into a complete and total nightmare.  8/10 times, I'll redraw the line-art like — hm, I don' dunno — about 7 fuckin' times in a row, then, delete all of it because IDK, it wasn't 'right'?  ( Who am i kidding; I do the same with sketches ヽ(・ω・)ﾉ  )

Oh, yeah, for sure.  Me and my ‘high fucking standards' did this.

NO.  No one in their right mind would do this.  They wouldn’t re-draw the same fucking drawing 7 times in a row and the same layer style over and over, not even changing things up to maybe get some progress.      Nobody.  Jfc.

And oh, god, that moment when you realize, it's been more than 8/9 hrs since you began and you haven't eaten or drank anything; you don't remember the last time you looked at your phone or what the hell happened to the time because last time you looked, it was 11am and now it’s 9:48pm.

Moreover, you made exactly zero progress on your project — because IDK — there’s no valid reason?  JUST COULDN'T STOP HA

I never thought I would talk about this, but uh, Y'all know how much I love han.  I want Han to be seen in the best light possible.  while SW has been one of the few things that have held a light in my life, he's helped me become a better person in more ways than I can articulate.  and no, I don't mean I suddenly started picking trash up off the highways.

I mean, by writing him in this amazing place filled with people I don’t have IRL who share my interests, I’ve met so many new people, friends, learned so many lessons, about characters and life and writing.  

When I began writing Han, here, I had just learned what present and past tense was in English.  I was winging my writing, trying really hard to understand.  English isn't my first language.  In Cantonese, my native language, there's no such thing as a past tense.  

By writing Han with you guys, I've taken huge steps in life, without even realizing it. 

So, everything I do for han, I want for it to be good.  

Not outstanding, and definitely not exemplary or nonpareil — just ... good. 

And icons — haha.  I love icons.  I love and hate making them.  similar to my writing, I work very hard on his icons.  ... but I need to learn where to draw the line.  

I once remade an icon 23 times before I was happy with it.  ( i had 23 versions left in my folder lmao ).  like these here?  10 versions of each, in the least. 

( the last one is kinda an exception... I think.  I made that one well over 25 times, for sure.  but I think it's because I'm not accustomed to Blaine's coloring yet. ) 

Wow, this really turned into a long post.  I don't really care, though.  My OCD is something that has always been completely ignored IRL.  Shit, it's ignored by even my online friends.  I can't even game online without one of them thinking I must get off on establishing my superiority and overall knowledge of '???’ game.  Haha.

In reality, I never had much of choice.  Information like that doesn't stop looping in my mind, even at night, when all I want is to sleep.

what are your thoughts about bakugou and midoriya's relationship? platonic, i mean

I live and die for it, every part of the manga in which that relationship is shown progressing is between my favorite parts of the manga and I’ve reread them a hundred times and cried over them way more than necessary - the battle trial one? yes, the end of terms exam? absolutely yes holy shit, the post-license exam fight? god yes fuck me that’s my absolute fav, the rescue arc? shit yes between all the reasons why that arc’s my fave the change in the deku/baku relationship is definitely a worthy of note one

It’s an interesting relationship, a painful one that’s making both of them grow so so so much, a rivalry they both need to better each other and keep each other straight on the path to become two great, all-around heroes - I’m not sure they’ll ever end up having the type of relationship Izuku has with Todoroki or Bakugou with Kirishima, I don’t think it’s possible for them to be friends like that, they’re just too different to properly fit like that and to avoid stepping on each other’s toes every single day of their lives they’d have to change their core personalities too much, but they did end up being able to coexist (Bakugou’s even giving Deku tips!!!) and I do think they’ll be able to cooperate and support each other in the end. If one day they’ll be able to make fun of each other in a friendly manner and egg each other on and be honest with each other without it escalating into a full blown fight I’d truly be happy, that’s probably my main dream for this whole manga. For them to have a healthy rivalry, one in which they can maybe even laugh together. I think it might happen, I’m waiting for it to happen

What a question lmao no, no they never interact with Teru, it’s a crack ship haha I don’t really have a reason to ship it tbh, I just think Teru’s personality would fit nicely with Bo and Kuroo - Teru’s one of my fave characters in Haikyuu and I like shipping my faves around, but he’s interacted with only his teammates and Karasuno so everything else is just crack... I like a whole bunch of Teru ships tbh, bokuroteru is the one I’ve drawn the most for a bit by accident and a bit because they’re the ones with the most entertaining possible dynamics, to me? They’re a bunch of excited silly kids, that’s fun!

I don’t think I’ll ever have Kirishima’s backstory at this point. I’m giving up. I’ll just make up my own version of it. Kirishima’s had a beautiful past with a lot of happiness a great family with loving parents and both older and younger siblings that love him more than they love air, he’s got three pet turtles and a dog and the only reason why he had his hair dyed black was because he went through a really intense goth phase. That’s it, that’s my version, Hori can keep the sadness for himself

I really hope something’ll happen and he won’t feel like that, but who knows ;-; on one side it would mean that his character arc still isn’t over, which is a lot more Kiri for me and that’s great, but on the other please don’t make him suffer anymore ;;--;;

You’re most welcome! As I said once already I don’t really care for Mineta, so including him in stuff when it makes logical sense to isn’t much of a problem for me hah maybe, if I’m lucky, one day he’ll grow as a character and out of the walking trope he is, and that might just mean I’ll start drawing him more by himslef too haha

The Nichoji one!! God who DOESNT love vampire!Seiji and werewolf!Nick? everybody in their right mind knows this concept SLAPS and omfg this picture is gorgeous dude!! your style really suits halloween aesthetics—like you just did a really good job ramping up the creepy vibe know? I feel like I can hear haunting music just looking at both the pictures and i love it! I love their expressions so much! Seiji looks unimpressed and a little disgusted as he’s looking over in the direction Nick’s at and it’s a really fitting expression; i love the shape of his lips here. And his eyes! love the red! and also how hollow and shadowed they look! v mysterious <3 And the crosses on his earrings! I L OV E that detail! and his suit! I actually love both their outfits here haha Nick’s got on that turtleneck for vampire defense reasons, im sure XP but Seiji in a full on suit just makes sense haha he looks good in it and I love it! And Nick’s looking a little more casual but still a fancy man <3 and NICK’S EXPRESSION!! omfg the Eugesse piece is so hauntingly gorgeous I swear I’m obsessed with it now holy SHIT it’s amazing you’re amazing. The vibes are perfect and the way they almost fade into darkness at the bottom and you outline in different colored lines?? amazing wow i love it. Jesse looks so gorgeous here it’s insane and that witch hat looks amazing on him!! I love the little star dangling off it! and I also love his earrings! so pretty! I love the dangly one and how there’s a couple more up that ear, then lobe piercing with the star on the other it’s just so neat and pretty and looks SO GOOD on him. and his EYES I love that their icy blue color is luminous and piercing and looking right at us! So cool dude SO cool. and his tiny little smile like he knows what you did in the dark, yknow? love. it. such a fucking rad expression. and his outfit! god he actually looks sexy as hell in black wtf. I love that he’s got on a bit of a turtleneck too and a dapper jacket—so sleek and pretty and ugh i love it. And Eugene’s arms creeping around Jesse!!! ahh!! that’s my favorite thing ever!! I love how c r e e p that hold is—it’s a little possessive and sly and like he just slunk out of the shadows and silently crept arms around Jesse and yeah i just love the vibe (and Jesse doesn’t seem to mind his demon bf coming to snuggle him at all). and his hands are great! I love the long black nails and the shirt!! I love that style of shirt!! and his rings too!! <3 and the pentagram is a nice touch uwu but that left hand that looks like it’s tapping at Jesse’s sternum? I LOVE it. I love it so much. so well drawn and also just such an interesting pose and hgrejkf i cant explain why the whole composition of them is making me go so feral but it IS. and Eugene’s faceee holy shittt so creepy i love ittt with the black smile and the black streams down his face! so cool!! and is that a pointy ear I spy? because im in love with it. And their hair is both really good!!! Jesse’s is so floofy and I love the little curls flying from the swoosh of it and then Eugene’s is alSO so fluffy and messy with some of those fly aways coming off form it and I just love the way you draw hair. i always want to pet it. ok and also Eugene’s glowing eyes are DOPE af and his slit pupils are great. I just love it so muchhhhh it’s all heart-stopping gorgeous!!

What I really love is to imagine Eugene being normal, jock-y friendly Eugene and this is just how he looks/operates so when he comes up to snuggle Jesse it looks really creepy to anyone watching or when he smiles (and he smiles and laughs as much as ever) that’s just how it looks and sometimes his eyes just leak black and everyone is super scared of him but Jesse, who knows he’s just a big lovable lump (of course, people are probably scared of Jesse too, so it goes both ways that they’re both the only ones to think the other is pretty/cute/harmless/lovable)

Reasons I Very Much Disliked the 10 Years Later Video Butch decided was probably profitable and decided to post. Like.... Let’s start with characters...

Jazz. My sweet fav Jazz. All of the designs felt pretty wrong and out of character but this one felt the most so. Butch didn’t even mention psychology, which offended me the most, and it’s like, yeah maybe Jazz grew out of her love for psychology by the time 10 years later rolled around but considering how central it was to her character? Doubtful. Like??? Butch do you know these characters at all? How in any way shape or form was Jazz technologically inclined? To the point she’d be as hooked up to wires and such as she was? That didn’t make sense at all. Maybe for Tucker, the most tech savy person ever, but not for Jazz. 

Yes she wanted to help her brother out and nearly desperately wanted to be part of team Phantom but I don’t think she’d give up everything she loved for it. Also Jazz would absolutely not want to be on the side lines. Even when she was messing up with the weapons she was still right there in the middle of the action. We also know she can kick butt physically, like her mom, even if she’s bad with weapons, like her dad. 

Honestly? I would see Jazz as a top researcher on the Psychology of Ghosts. She would most definitely have the drive and the passion to be able to not only spearhead a new avenue of research based on everything about a ghost’s brain/feelings/thoughts/etc but also be a sort of permanent head of that department. Ghosts are a sentient species that are also completely separate from humans. That’s GROUNDBREAKING. 

Not to mention that it’s a way she knows she can help without completely resorting to violence. Jazz is compassionate and nosy. She’s a busy-body that wants to fix everyone’s problems. She’s both sensitive and insensitive. She’s aggressive about being caring. And I don’t think that would be something that would just go away. I know Butch has already stated that Ghosts aren’t Ghosts but Monster (Yeah, okay man) but ignoring that I think Jazz would most certainly offer Ghost Therapy sessions Pro Bono to help them pass on. And even with the Monster thing, I still think she’d offer therapy, even if it’s just to offer comfort and the ability to integrate within human society. 

Anyway, I was real mad about how badly Jazz was treated. Her entire character was made some two-dimensional sidekick with no substance. The depth of the female characters is what made DP so great, Butch, we don’t need you ruining that just to make things look cool.

Jack. I... guess I agree with him that Jack would think being a half robot is cool, but like... Why? Why would he have gotten that scarred up? Yes, I get it, the usual “When you’re famous you make a lot of enemies.” But like.... I dunno I think the show wouldn’t necessarily take such an edgy dystopian turn like he wants us to believe. He kept just... talking about action and action scenes. And, honestly? That’s incredibly boring. And completely unnecessary. Action scenes are good but you have to have something to propel them. Something to make you care. One would think that Danny and his crew would be working to make the world a better place. To make it more peaceful. That’s what heroes are supposed to do. Not gratuitously get into fights with anyone who’s trying to pick one. Like??? 

Also this completely would take away character growth, both with Jack’s design and Maddie’s. Why are they still treating ghosts like subhumans? Like evil monsters? Since they’re literally wearing the DP insignia I’d assume they know about Danny’s half-ghost persona, so why would they still be hunting ghosts the same way?????

Honestly, with the way the show was headed before it ended you could tell there was a lesson in there about how there’s humanity even in beings you think are monsters. These mecha-ultra-action-oriented designs leave no room for that. I want to see a peaceful ambassador Danny trying his best to negotiate between ghosts and humans! I want to see Jack and Maddie supporting him! The conflict shouldn’t come from random fight scenes, but from things going awry! Let me see negotiations go sour because Jack accidentally said something loud and obnoxious. Let me see him resolve it after some character growth. One of the things about the original DP was that the grown ups had no accountability. Let me see them grow too. Show me that even adults can learn from their mistakes. 

In the end Jack looked like a horribly colored Santa that’s too trigger happy. Also? With the way everything was action oriented and revolving around violence... I dunno, when you treat your enemies like targets and forego all compassion, are you really the hero anymore? Even if he escaped the fate of Dan, it seems to me like Danny is still a bit of a villain like this. :/

Maddie. Just. Let me. AAAAAAA. No. First of all that haircut. Maddie would never. There’s no reason for her to change her hair that drastically and just, ugh. And those clothes on a 50 year old woman? I dunno, women can wear what they like at any age but it just doesn’t fit Maddie’s style. Anyway. Also, Butch totally degraded Maddie’s character to just “bad-ass action woman that fights a lot, has big weapons, and is bad ass.” Totally taking away her maternal side. Totally disregarding the fact that she’s often the brains of the operation behind the weapons. And totally making another awesomely dimensional female character flat and without substance. Congrats Butch.

Secondly, can we talk about those ghosts on a leash? Omfg. Whoo boy. Let’s talk about how many things wrong with that there are. Just. Yeah, remember a few paragraphs ago I was talking about the “humanity in monsters” bla bla bla. WELL. One: cruel. Two: weird. Three: wrong. Like on a basic moral level. Anyway, like I’m going to stop there with that because I don’t want to think about it anymore. Eugh.

Vlad. Lmao, let’s take one of the best motivated, best background story given child’s cartoon character and say his most interesting trait is his being a Greenbay Packers fan. Like, yeah it’s a pretty cool thing about him, but come on Butch. 

Also, i like how even you are ignoring Phantom Planet and you made that horrible mess. You dug your grave now lie in it. 

A clone??? Can we talk about the moral implications??? Like yes, I know Vlad is a villain and he does bad things but like??? We already went through this as a plot point we don’t need to go through it again. Vlad may be obsessive but he’s smart enough to know when to give up a failed plan. He’d start a new one. But anyway the moral implications of a clone. I’m not talking about Vlad, I’m talking about society. That is obviously a clone of Danny. That was obviously unconsensual. Vlad would blow his cover as a civilian and be revealed as a villain to the public this way, assuming he still has a cover. How does he live?????As a constant villain??? Wouldn’t he be arrested??? I just. Logistics man. And with the weight of Danny as a trustworthy superhero now, and the fact that its pretty obvious everyone knows Danny’s identities, Vlad has no leverage over Danny to keep his secret. Danny could full on spill everything about how evil vlad is. And what about team Phantom?? Wouldn’t they try to take the clone away from an abusive asshole like they did with Dani?? How does the clone feel??? This is a literal whole new character!!! 

I’m not even going to talk about the tiger.

VLAD. DOES. NOT. WANT. TO. BE. A. KING!!!! That’s so totally not his villain MO!!!!!! What was so great about Vlad was that he didn’t want things like that. He wanted power, yes. But only to further his plans. He wanted three things: Maddie, revenge on Jack, and Danny as his protege. That’s what made him interesting!!!!! Not every villain has to be power hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Medieval vlad having a sword so he can just go into battle and just smash things. Wow, okay, right back to the action with no substance and also totally ignoring the classiness and finesse that vlad usually utilizes in fights. but okay. 

Oh! Well look! Phantom Planet actually mentioned!!! Also the alien enslavement thing was actually a pretty cool plot thing so KUDOS TO YOU BUTCH SOMETHING I LIKED!!!! But, how, may i ask, are you going to deal with aliens existing? are they going to never be mentioned again?? are they going to come looking for vlad on earth? how will they clash with the ghosts? will danny have to reluctantly notice that his once archnemesis is not who he used to be and take pity on his wretched new state in order to help fight against the aliens? will vlad beg for dannys help or want to fight him for revenge? that’s some good plot right there.

Side note: “Maybe if I do a Danny Phantom 10 Years Later part three video, I’ll do an aged up version of Young Blood.” Butch. The whole point of Young Blood is that he’s young. Like forever young. BUTCH. THIS IS YOUR OWN SHOW. BUTCH!!!

Anyway. Dani. Is she evil? She was under the influence of Vlad after all. NO???!?!?! Literally that was the whole plot of her character arch Butch. She was taken away from that influence and allowed to roam free, If anything I think she’d gain lots of wisdom and worldly experience from her travels. 

“I kind of buffed her up”  👀 👀 👀 👌 👌 👌 👌 💯 💯 💯 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 !!!

But also back to, “By party I mean she likes to destroy ghosts” BUTCH. I already went over this. Everything action oriented like this totally takes away from the original series and makes everything boring with no purpose. No drive. Also while yes I love her design, i think its ignoring whatever experiences she might have had while traveling. and makes her yet another flat female character. She’s there to look sexy and hit things and thats it. there’s, again, no substance. Whatever.

Also, how does she make a reappearance in the series??  Has she integrated into the family? (Thatd be rad). Does she just pop up from time to time? is she there for back up in case theres a need for reinforecements?
