tbh I couldn’t for the life of me pick a color palette I liked And Render it so I gave up on color. Enjoy the half assery.

Tbh I’ve just been call it Ithacan Naga, but it’s objectively it’s a mix of snake, owl/bird, and human. So 🤷.

Tbh the wings are supposed to be white/gray-brown, cause owls & Hermes, while his scales are supposed to be an oscillating scale from sea green-blue to purple-tinted gray. Uhm. Evidently that sorta didn’t happen but also did. So.

The purple/grayer scales are gonna be more around with the feathers and wings.

Those fin colors are. Too blue and too bright but I love the colors themselves so they’re staying for now.

Uhm. That’s it for now, ig. I’m sorta on a timer rn and I’m tired so <3

Mad At Yi Why Anon - Thanks for explaining! It makes more sense now lol. I never expected them to be grateful for being "saved," I'd just think it's certainly a choice for them to Most Mad at the only guy who wasn't going to let them rot. But if it's a "we need someone to blame" then that makes sense.

Even if he wasn’t gonna let them rot, he WAS gonna take them out with him had his True Ending Sacrifice gone as it had in the game. They don’t know this, this is just extra DoobYi characterization. But he wasn’t expecting to be alive, either tbh.

That said, he takes the public opinion of him and the Sols very seriously and doesn’t blame them even if sometimes the grievances are heavy-handed. This is a Yi who will apologize many times over for the actions of the council, for the failure of the project, for the lies and the lives ruined, both apemen and solarian, and for the individual hurts he’s caused to Kuafu, Goumang, Shaunshuan and Heng. If Eigong and many of the other Sols are not here to share the responsibility, then he will shoulder the blame, as he believes he should. Even if, y’know, everyone who IS glad he didn’t die is telling him to knock it off.

When you say it’s normal and valid to mourn things we didn’t experience… can that also apply if we didn’t get to experience things because of mental illness? And not just stuff related to trauma?

Of course!

I also want to say while we’re on the subject that while it doesn’t for everyone, it’s really valid if you have trauma as a result of your mental illness. (Not to invalidate your question, you’re completely valid to mourn anything you didn’t experience, whether it was trauma related or not but I just wanted to share the reminder that trauma from mental illness is also valid).

#I still mourn not getting to do prom #or have a graduation #not for my BA because of Covid #they promised we’d get one eventually #we didn’t #and not for high school because of mental illness tbh #and I realize prom is over hyped and likely not all it’s made out to be #but I’ll still never get to experience that #and I’m sad about it #I’m also constantly sad if I see wedding stuff #because of how poorly my wedding went #so you’re also valid to mourn stuff that didn’t go the way you wanted #neither of these things are trauma related and #I still mourn them
