Paparazzi - Sonamy
Prompt:
It should have been a normal day, by all accounts.
Amy was waiting for Sonic in the Chao Garden, happily humming a tune and playing with the Chao by taking one of their pudgy, teardrop arms and spinning it up and around as though as they were both dancing.
The Chao loved it, seeming to roleplay a ball of sorts and the dashing prince trying to dance with Cinderella, as many other Chao seemed to vie over playing the parts next, tumbling over her shoulders and pawing at her hands to get her to lift them up and twirl them in pairs as well.
She giggled at their enthusiasm, “The duke, and the duchess!” She took another pair of arms and twirled them as well, these two being flying types, they gently fluttered their wings and closed their eyes, playing the roles well and then bowing to each other after she let them go and they did a figure-8 together.
“The prime minister and-” she stopped when she felt a brisk wind, and excitedly got up and turned around, “And my Sonic!”
He stood a little uneasy, but smiled as though feigning something. He was reluctant to have her hug him but didn’t protest her abrupt embrace, looking as though he really didn’t want to spoil her mood.
“Playing with the Chao again, huh?” He commented, smiling sheepishly down to one and bending his eyes as it came right up and tugged on his socks, wanting some affection too. He wiggled a finger to lightly tickle it’s head and then swirled the slight tip of his head around his finger from above before pulling up and seeing Amy’s excited expression again.
“They sure do they love pretend.” very motherly, she put her hands behind her back and looked to them, seeing them all cheering for Sonic and Amy to play as well. “I guess before our date, we could humor them, yeah?” She blinked her eyelashes towards him flirtatiously, but he again acted as though something was wrong but trying to hide it.
The two flying Chao took back to the skies and also grabbed Sonic and Amy’s fingers, lifting them up to lightly host Sonic and Amy to the top of their toes.
Amy giggled into her hand and then softly twirled, showing Sonic the game.
He sighed, but kinda awkwardly seemed to enjoy the silliness as he turned too, making the Chao cheer.
“The king and queen!” Amy sounded off, and the Chao gave an applause.
After letting go of their fingers, the two flying Chao took to each other and twirled as one, inspiring other Chao to partner up and try a silly “waltz” impersonation as well.
“So cute!” Amy cheered, her hands pressing together at their endearing whimsy. “I remember when I was that young... always dreaming of my true love~” she seemed to be referencing Sonic and he ducked his head and scratched his nose, looking away.
“I really don’t want to say this...” He admitted, but tried to toughen himself up, patting his cheeks to get himself to ‘man up’ and tell her. “But Amy, there’s something you gotta-”
“Look!” Amy pointed to a blue speed Chao, dancing with hops and jumps to a rhythm it made up, dancing with another Chao. “It acts just like you!”
“What?” Sonic was momentarily distracted, “I dance nothing like that!”
“Oh, you’re just jealous that he has better footing then you do.” Amy joked, moving up to his chest and placing her shoulders to it, “Well, if you’re so inclined, why not prove me wrong? We can go dancing for our date today!” she thought herself so sly and raced ahead towards the fountain, looking in it’s reflection to ‘spruce’ herself up before believing she was going to be swept off on another fantastic outing with her hero.
Sonic gulped, pulled at his quills, and turned away from the sight. “Aw man, get it together! You have to tell her! It’s the only way she’ll understand!” he softly gave himself his reasons through the prep-talk, but looking back at her, he felt his heart sink at how happy she was right now... and how upset she’ll be if he told her.
“Stay strong...” he repeated to himself, and walked back up to Amy. “Amy, it’s kind of important I tell you what I heard and saw the other day.” he began, lifting a foot to the fountain as it caught Amy’s attention, her head tilting and turning to look at it. She was fixing her quills, but slowly looked up to Sonic, pausing as she noticed how he hid his mouth with his hand as though in strange thought, and spoke as though trying to upfront but indirect.
She raised an eyebrow, “Right now?” She smiled then, turning playful, “Why not tell me on our date!” she lightly hopped to his side and took his arm, pulling him back towards her as he swayed with the action.
“W-wah-o!” He caught himself and looked back into her eyes again. Sighing, he placed a saddened hand to her own on his arm. “We can’t... Go on dates anymore... not like this.” His voice definitely seemed to be conflicted, and Amy’s eyes blinked to a low-riding dispute as though she couldn’t understand.
“Is it Eggman?” Amy asked, about to give her reasons why that didn’t matter but he shook his head and held up his hand from on top of her own.
“N-no, it’s not that. I...” He rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from her and down towards the ground. Instinctively though, he held the arm she was grasping like a gentlemen, crooking it for her to have a better grip of. “I saw some photos... someone took of us on our last date. It’s kinda... all over the city now.”
“Ah!” Amy’s enthusiasm skyrocketed again, her mouth opening wide into a grin. “That’s wonderful!”
“W-what!?” Sonic was amazed at her response, turning back to her a little dumbfounded.
“Hehe, what are they calling us? The cutest new couple to emerge this year!? Ohh! Did they call us the Fashion Couple of the week? Oh-oh! Maybe we’re on Celebrity’s hottest new pairs!”
Her hands flopped around like a teenage girl and Sonic just shook his head, moving since her hands weren’t spazzing while on his arm anymore and put his hands to his hips. On his face, a clear expressive groan, but no sound to follow it.
He looked a little annoyed she didn’t understand, and looked away, grumbling, “Scandal... actually.”
“...What!?” Amy had to process that a moment before flinging her hands back behind her and having her mouth drop open this time, bewildered but also shocked at the news. “How could they say that!? You won’t even let me hold your hands across the table without worrying I’ll see you blush.”
Sonic’s whole body spiked up, “I do not!” he defended, but as Amy ‘aww’d his cute reaction, he coughed into his hand and played it off. “W-we-well, regardless, seeing as I’m kinda a hotshot and you’re my friend, it’s something I’m not comfortable with and-”
“Friend?” Amy gave him a funny look and he started sweating, shaking as he saw Amy’s fiery aura rising.
He made small whimpers as though wanting to say something, unable to change from his position of ‘coughing into hand’ when Amy’s hand flexed out as though threatening to summon a hammer.
“Friend..?” she continued.
After a few more attempts to speak, Sonic finally broke out of his intimidated fear and held his ground, putting his closed-hands up to his sides to show his determination at saying what he had too. “E-either way, Amy! We can’t be seen by the public eye anymore! That means... I can’t take you on a date today.” He straightened out, more of the usual, typical hedgehog boy she was used too.
He closed his eyes and relaxed his body, his head down as though ashamed he had to break the news to her.
“Once they caught wind of it, they started saying some things that I don’t agree with it. Especially about us. I won’t bother relating all the things I heard people talking about, it’s all fake news anyway, but I worry it could hurt who we are and what we stand for... I don’t want to see you misrepresented by people who don’t understand your feelings, Amy.”
It was kind. It was considerate...
But Amy wasn’t having it.
“OOOoooOOOh!” she let out her infamous whine and summoned her hammer, turning away from Sonic and bashing it around furiously in the air. “Who do they think they are!” she shook her fist up and bent her head down, “Spreading lies about my Sonic and I, will they!? Making my man feel the need to hide his appreciation for the well-deserving woman that I am!? Aughh!!!” She took a few, powerful steps and smashed a small but decently sized rock on the ground, causing the other Chao to freak out and fly away. “I won’t forgive them! I’ll make them pay! They’ll rue the day they came between me and my Sonic!”
At her declarations, Sonic just pulled back away from the scene a bit and looked the other way. “Stop it, Amy... you’re embarrassing me and frightening the Chao...” He didn’t know how else to respond to her, but was used to her flip-floppy emotions by now. “Anyway, I’m really sorry about all this. I know you were looking forward to today, too.”
From behind Amy, her rage seemed to rise and then fall all at once, and she turned back to Sonic, her eyes showing her ranged emotions.
“Why should we let them win? You promised me a date today and who are they to say you can’t keep it!?” She puffed up her cheeks, flushing red as her anger was quickly turning her to glossy eyes... but she wouldn’t dare cry in front of Sonic.
Instead, still frustrated and fuming, she kicked the now pebbles of the remaining rock she crushed. “It’s not fair! And I won’t stand for it!” she defiantly placed a foot down as her eyebrows shook. “Whoever disrespects my man’s honest intentions disrespects me!” she was really getting riled up, and Sonic poked his head into her frame to try and wave his hands out in front of him, looking a little already defeated as he knew he couldn’t calm her down now anyway.
“Amy, Amy... it’s not that big of a deal.”
“We’ll go somewhere else then! Somewhere no cameras or rude people will follow!” she stood proudly with a fist to her hip and her pointer finger wagging in the air their new plan, but Sonic felt he was getting roped into her antics again.
He shrugged, shaking his head. “What are ya gonna do?” he seemed to realize he wasn’t going to change her mind.
“Here’s the plan!” Amy swung back to him, shaking him up and pulling him down to her level as she gave him a held wink and whispered her idea. “We’re gonna go on the run! Just you and me! We’ll make sure no one sees your adorable girlfriend getting you all flustered.” she poked and wiggled her finger into his cheek and snickered at her go-hard-go-lucky scheme, but Sonic just felt his face being pushed and squished and tried to lean out of it, unable to as he struggled by rocking back but she would pull him with her arm over his shoulders back to her side again, continuing to brew her plan further.
“B-but where do you think we can go that they won’t follow, Amy?” Sonic was still uncomfortable with the idea, but knowing nothing could stop Amy once she put her mind to it, decided the sooner he got through this date the better.
“You leave that to me!” Amy encouraged, then let him go and lightly pushed him forward, having him try and catch his balance again as he stumbled forward and looked back at her. “You’ve been all over this world and back, only now you’re telling me you can’t even think of one spot that the paparazzi can’t get us?” She looked at him skeptically, “With all their lies and tabloids trying to fancy-up our innocent romance... I can’t believe you’re not trying harder to save our marriage!” she seemed to be idolizing something and half-daydreaming, but then turning to scold Sonic as he looked at her confused.
“W-what?”
“I mean our relationship! That’s what I said.” she folded her arms, blushing and pouting to the side as Sonic scratched his head.
“Hmm...” Sighing with a bit of a grunt at her obvious fib, he just let her carry on and took her up in his arms. “Sorry to make this awkward, Amy...” He seemed sincere enough, and Amy just happily held her arms around his shoulders, like how they normally would go running together.
“Don’t you worry, Sonic The Hedgehog! Little articles like that won’t stop me from marrying you!”
Sonic cranked his head slooooowwwllly her way.
“I-I mean, um, dating you! Haha!” She nervously corrected, but he lowered his eyes to her, showing he wasn’t amused by her imaginations. “... Okay, okay! Hang out dates...” she grumbled the ‘politically correct’ terminology and Sonic smiled at her acceptance of it.
“Hang on!” satisficed that she at least understood him enough to agree to keep prying eyes out of their conduct together, he took off towards where Amy had previously designed to take them.
But while racing around, popular news-drones chased them everywhere. They tried for a picnic retreat but the drones flew up with camera flashes. Sonic dived to save Amy as she gasped and then sped off with a serious look of annoyance to find another location.
They tried the deserts, basking in the sun on beach chairs, but the drones flew speedily by and took a shot, photoshoping it and printing out a picture of them sharing a chair and acting like a spoiled hero with his woman laying beside him and an arm wrapped around him.
The two were shocked out of their chairs.
“I-I-I didn’t know they could do that!” Amy gasped, realizing they could completely fabricate their relationship. “This... this is not good...” her fingers flinched against the sides of her cheeks as her eyes shrunk at the covers of magazines spreading falsehoods about her being some... some...!
“I’m not a trophy wife!” she bashed the drones and 10 more flew over to take pictures of her violent act. “Ah!” she cowered from the bright lights and kept swinging.
“Amy!!!” Darting from his own paparazzi drones, he dove in and grabbed her, protecting her by jumping out of the encircling camera drones and taking off.
Amy clung to him, looking back and seeing, just like printers, the drones having photoshopped Amy’s violence on Sonic, the header reading something along the lines of how she was forcing the greatest hero into submission, and how you can dominate your famous man into being your one and only.
“Ah! That’s awful!” Amy felt her chest tighten, “I would never do something like that...”
Looking back at her face, seeing how scared she was to lose face and be framed for something she wasn’t, Sonic’s righteous indignation also flared up. He scowled, wanting to say something but keeping it silently to himself.
The two tried to lose them in the bushes, but as the drones looked around, dived in and starting taking pictures of them trying to get away, showing instead that the two were ‘rendezvousing’ in the brush of nature’s finest temptations... each other.
“That is so blown out of proportion!” Amy smashed another drone and pulled out the original photo from inside it’s round body, “We look terrified!” the originally showed them pushing back to avoid the drones in the bush.
Sonic just grumbled, seeing another robot about to take a picture and jumped up to spin dash it, “Come on..!” he extended his hand, and suddenly... Amy’s imagination got away with her.
As she took his hand, him pulling her towards him, she imagined him and her running away to elope, and her jealous suitors pursuing them in raging envy.
“Oh, Sonic~” she blushed and swooned, closing her eyes as she fanaticized and had her hands up to her cheeks, the two photos flying off in the wind behind his incredible speeds. “I’ve always wanted to run away with you~”
They hid in the snow, as the drones flew by and fought the winds, one scanned a pile of two snow heaps. Deciding nothing there was interesting, took off.
Their heads popped out of the snow, Sonic having some snot dripping frozen from his nose and went to sneeze as Amy’s bundled two hands shook in fury.
“Ahhh, come on..!” Amy tiredly drained out an exhausted cry, “At first this was refreshingly new, d-d-due to them not shooting at us like Eggman’s robots of course!” she looked to make sure Sonic wasn’t accusing her of over idolizing a situation again. “Ehem, but now it’s just tiresome! Why can’t we just explode them all..?”
Sonic folded his arms, showing a disapproval. “They’ll photograph that we’re destroying the right to say as they please... or something like that.” he had a sweat drop of uncertainty fall from the side of his face. “You know how these people get, that’s why I wanted nothing to do with them.”
She realized his plea and sighed, “I give up then.” she kicked the ground and sat down beside him, getting out of the snow and leaning up against his shoulder. “Sonic... we can’t just give up... right?”
He remained silent.
“What about our relati- I mean... our friendship.” she made the fish-lips as though upset she had to call it that. “They’re insanely persistent! But... I wasn’t wrong for wanting to spend more time with you... personally having you here with him is already a dream come true! Ah... But... I can understand if you’re growing sick of me.”
She was all dreamy and suddenly, realizing he didn’t like that, went to trying to be a bit more modest.
“I get it now. I’m something that could be an embarrassment upon your image and virtues... without me, you wouldn’t have to worry about this with Tails or Knuckles... I don’t like hiding the truth, but if that’s how you feel you can still hang out with me then... then...” She lowered her head, her eyes covered in dark shadows as her shoulders bounced slightly, clearly not liking what she was saying or accepting, and having her fingers dig slightly in shakes into the snow, showing her resentment at these things.
Then... all at once... Sonic’s hand gently and without delay, reached out to place itself upon Amy’s trembling and gripping for anything solid in her life hands... quieting some fears and reassuring her, being comforting.
She looked at his hand, startled, then up with sparkling admiration into his own.
He was so calm, smiling to her.
“Forget about being tagged for property damages.” Sonic joked, getting up and stretching out, “Hmm uh, hmm uh,... If we’re gonna get these guys... hu ho, hu ho, then we better start with luring them to us first.” As he did his exercises, he then took a deep breath out and offered her his hand, winking to her. “Let’s make it a clean hit, so they can’t crop and cut anything this time.”
Her heart grew so large with love for him, she just jumped up and embraced him, littering his face with her tears. “Oh, Sonic! Sonnnnic!”
He just chuckled sheepishly at her.
Later, the drones were still looking as Amy cried out, “Oh, Sonic, I’m soooo cold!” The drones quickly turned in the direction of their voices.
Sonic and Amy were hiding behind some trees, as Amy cupped her hands around her mouth to let the sound carry, “Hold me in your arms and never let me go~”
The drones paused a second, as though not believing it.
“They’re not buying it.” Sonic whispered, before raising his voice up. “I got something better in mind!” and then swooped a leg under Amy.
“H-hey!” she cried out, as he made her trip and fall down. “Offph! Sonic! What’s the big idea!?”
With that, the drones looked flustered, sparking and fritzing out in the air as they had anime blush marks over their camera lenses. They flew over to the trees, their apertures tensing and unclosing as though to show interest when a human’s eye dilates, looking to Amy in the snow as Sonic came out of hiding and rammed one of them with his fist, crushing their face and sending them flying.
“I’ll give you a show.” Sonic smirked, turning to the others. “Now, who’s up next?”
“Batter up!” Amy got up from laying belly-first in the snow, and wacked one that was distracted by Sonic, shaking in fear as it went to attempt a picture, and was bashed away by Amy’s hammer.
“You want hot and spicy?” She turned to the next drone, “Take a quick peek at this!” She whipped up her hammer as though a boxer spinning around his arm and laid a huge grand-slam with her hammer’s hilt into the drone like a saber.
It toppled in the air a few times before finally falling down. “Ah!” Amy noticed the insignia was Eggman’s, and realized who the freelancer was that was taking pics of them. ‘Oh no!’ she looked back to Sonic, still spin-dashing some of them in multi-hits. ‘If he finds out this was Eggman trying to ruin his happiness... he’ll think he can’t ever be with me again!’ she looked uneasily towards the trashed robot. ‘It does make sense though... I can’t let Sonic know about this... Not yet, at least.’ she took her hammer out of it and bashed the logo further into the snow.
‘No wonder those creeps were saying bad things about Sonic and I’s relationship! O-or friendly hang out sessions!’ she grew furious, racing around and beating up some more. ‘Eggman is the only one who could keep up with me and Sonic’s whereabouts! He’s been sitting back and making millions on exploiting our love! I-I mean- ohhhh..!’ she stood side by side with Sonic. “Let’s let them have it!”
He could tell she was riled up, but actually liked it.
“On your count, Amy!” he joined the fun. In unison, Amy swung her hammer and Sonic jumped back to reel his fist back.
“Counter strike!” Amy saw the drone rise up to dodge Amy, but she lifted her hammer up to match the direction of where it dodged, and Sonic held nothing back to slam his fist into her hammer’s other side to launch her swing with even more force--blasting back the force of air with it--to completely obliterate the drone where only a few minor pieces were actually sprayed like darts out into the trees trunks.
Another drones turbines kick up and blast the snow away as it retreats.
Sonic charges after it, following it by scaling up a tree as Amy looks around at the bear ground.
The robots’ had Eggman faces being exposed everywhere.
Amy’s eyes shook, “Oh no... oh no, oh no, oh no!” she quickly fell to her knees and tried to pile more snow over them, spreading them out but the heat of their explosions caused the light bundles of snow she was trying to put over them to melt in a few seconds. “Stop, stop, stop!” she felt her emotions getting the better of her and hammered the drones down into the ground, but the one she was working on wouldn’t budge. Yes, it dented it’s metal in, but the ground was too solid for it to pierce below and hide itself by Amy burying it.
When Sonic flung down, Amy knew it was already too late... he was too fast to expect herself to hide anything... and wondered what horrible fate lay in store... now that he knew.
She wouldn’t look up at him.
She knew he must have seen them. There was no way to hide them.
He stood there for a long time... ‘Oh! I knew this was hopeless! Now Sonic will never go on another date with me!’
She felt the tears, but held them back. ‘No... I can’t let him see this affect me... I’ve worked too hard to let Eggman, the press,... anyone stop me from being with him!’
As she lamented, silently trying to hide her crying, Sonic walked through the bare, frozen, and solid ground.
He bent down and showed her a thumbs up, just under her vision.
“H-huh?” She looked up with tears that frosted to look like she was crying crystals, as they glittered like stars, and watched as he closed his eyes and gave her the brightest smile she had seen on him to date.
“Nice teamwork,.. Amy!” It was a light acknowledgement, but when he said her name, it was so wonderfully pleasing to her ears, so soft and full of charming reciprocation.
He needn’t say those famous words... as long as he always said her name with such flare and devotion.
It filled her with such profound hope, that it inspired her to reach out to him.
A little startled by her reaction, he couldn’t resist hugging her back, and she held him as he picked her up and carried her to warmer climates.
END.

the leaves are falling, and my love so are we
Amy has invited Sonic, Silver and Blaze on a mountain hike. Even though not everyone knows or even remembers that it's technically a double date, nothing stops the four of them from enjoying a day in each other's company, and even falling a little more in love with each other. Written for Sonamy / Silvaze Week 2020
... xxx ...
"Amy, I thought this hike was supposed to be a group thing," Sonic said sullenly, stretching his arms above his head as he leaned against the fence. His breath frosted ahead of him in a misty cloud of white, vanishing almost as soon as it appeared.
Autumn was in full swing, and that meant that the chill in the air was here to stay. The blue hedgehog had forgone a coat and hat in favour of a simple black scarf he'd found balled up in the back of his wardrobe, but as burst of wind whistled by, Sonic was starting to regret his decision a little.
"It is," Amy insisted. She'd clearly gotten the right idea, standing beside him bundled up in pastel shades of wool. She looked perfectly cosy and warm – not that he had any plans to find out if she actually was.
Sonic bounced awkwardly on the balls of his feet, his eyes flashing to the only other people in the area, Silver and Blaze. They were also dressed for the weather, and for a brief moment Sonic wondered if anyone would notice if he ran home quickly before deciding against it.
He was fast, but not that fast.
"Are you sure?" he asked with a frown, attempting to tighten his scarf to keep the chill out. "Because, this kinda seems like some sorta two timing date thing. Shouldn't there be more people here of something?"
"It's called a double date, and yes I am sure. Besides, do you really think I can trick you into a date so easily."
"Yes, absolutely. I do think so," Sonic deadpanned, grinning as the girl pouted at him. "Okay, fine. I'll believe you … even if it is kinda suspicious."
Amy gave him a smug smile and he was tempted to roll his eyes at her. Instead, he pushed off the fence and zipped over to the other two members of their party. "Have you guys been up this way before?"
"No," Blaze replied, rubbing her gloved hands together. "At least … I haven't." She turned expectantly to Silver who also shook his head.
"Me neither. Not in this world at least."
"Alright. Looks like we got two newbies on our hands, Ames," he said, glancing over his shoulder to see Amy slowly making her way over.
"This trail is really very pretty this time of year so you're both going to love it!" she said, barely containing her excitement as she joined them. "Shall we set off?"
Sonic gave her a curt nod, the others agreeing in tandem.
"Great! This is going to be so much fun."
Even without looking at her, the blue hedgehog knew that she was smiling as she spoke, her boots softly thudding against the ground as she began to lead them up the mountainous area.
Blaze was up ahead with the pink hedgehog with Silver following a little behind them, stopping occasionally to pick up fallen autumn memorabilia. Sonic followed at the rear of the pack, and even he found it amusing that despite his need for speed, he was quite content and curious enough to slow down every once in a while.
"You've probably been here hundreds of times, right?" Silver said, and Sonic looked up to see that the boy had slowed down enough to match pace with him. He hadn't noticed it before, but there was a tenseness in the other hedgehog's posture that he hadn't noticed earlier.
"I think I lost count somewhere after three-hundred and ninety-four," Sonic joked, smiling as his friend's shoulders relaxed a little bit. "You nervous or something buddy?" he asked, wondering if Amy had been as vague about the nature of today's hike with everyone and not just him.
"Oh," he said, looking a little alarmed at being found out. "It's nothing, really," he said quietly, refusing to meet Sonic's questioning gaze. The blue hedgehog was suspicious to say the least, but he let the comment slide for now.
He didn't want to push the hedgehog into something he wasn't ready to talk about, besides, the walk was long enough for everyone to relax enough that he might just share on his own accord.
"Aright, bud," he replied before clapping him on the back. "We're starting to lose the girls, you wanna race?"
Silver grinned in response.
...xxx...
"We don't have very many of this type in Sol," Blaze said, pointing towards a tree growing just off the path with leaves that jutted out in six directions - two at the top and two on either side. "I think I remember there being some in the Northern regions, but I don't remember what they're called."
"We have plenty of these around here," Amy said, although a light frown settled over her usually perky features as she drew to a halt and placed a single hand on the rough bark of the tree. "I don't remember what they're called though…" she mused, throwing a look over Blaze's shoulder to where the boys were ambling towards them.
"Hey Sonic, do you know the name of this tree?"
Blaze turned just in time to see the blue hedgehog shaking his head and Silver rushing up behind him. If she didn't know any better, then she would have assumed the two of them were attempting some sort of a race. Except she did know better, and Silver wasn't dumb enough to challenge the fastest thing alive.
Either way, it didn't escape her notice that the lighter hedgehog was flushed as they joined them.
"Not a clue. You got any ideas?" he said to the boy beside him.
Her gaze fell to Silver once more as he stooped to pick up one of the fallen leaves, holding it up to the light. "It's a tulip tree," he announced proudly. "I read about these just recently actually. I remember it because the illustration of the leaves reminded me of you Blaze," he said, glancing up to meet her gaze.
Blaze felt heat rush to her cheeks as he moved the hand with the leaf in front of him, his amber eyes flicking from the mottled leaf to her face as he tested his own theory. Amy popped up beside him and narrowed her eyes.
"He's kind of right you know. If I squint like this," she said, doing just that. "It really does look like your silhouette."
"You're both being ridiculous," Blaze said breathily, turning away from them deliberately. "People don't look like leaves," she murmured, unable to shake the way Silver had studied her just a few moments earlier.
She glanced up the path, noticing that it was getting narrower and steeper. It had seemed earlier that they would be taking a route the meandered around the base of the mountain, but now she wasn't so sure.
"Where did you say this route led again?" she asked, surprised to see the Sonic was now beside her and leading the way ahead.
"Can't tell you that," he said smoothly. "That'd ruin the whole surprise."
"I can still appreciate something, even if I know to expect it," she explained.
"Sure you can, but – watch your step," he said, hopping effortlessly over a log that Blaze only noticed at the last moment. "Not knowing is its own kind of adventure, don't you think?" he finished.
Blaze followed after him silently, wondering if perhaps he was right. Silver almost never seemed to have anything planned out, at least never in the same excruciating detail she did, and he always seemed to be having a good time no matter what he did.
"I suppose you're right," she admitted after a few long minutes of silence.
"I always am," Sonic said cockily, stopping only long enough to call out to the two stragglers behind them. "Hurry it up slow coaches. I just saw a snail shoot past us."
...xxx...
The walk up the mountain was tiring to say the least, but Amy was enjoying herself immensely. Not only was she getting the chance to spend time with two friends she didn't get to see often, but she also got the entire day with Sonic the Hedgehog, her most favourite person in the world.
In fact she was enjoying herself so much that she actually felt a wave of disappointment when she realised they'd reached the clearing that marked the half-way point. It meant that their day together was started to reach its peak, and that put a time limit on her remaining hours with the people around her.
She put on a bright smile and tried to put the thought out of her head as she approached Silver. The group had taken a five-minute break to hydrate and catch their breaths, and the white hedgehog was currently sat on a large tree stump.
Several pinecones and acorns that he'd collected on the way up floated around in front of him in a teal haze, and he dropped them into his hands as he saw Amy approaching. He shuffled over to make room for her with a smile that almost seemed as forced as her own.
"So," she said as she dropped down beside him. "How's your date with Blaze going?"
"Oh, I think Blaze is having a grea- wait, what do you mean date?" he said looking slightly alarmed.
"Silver …" Amy said, levelling him an incredulous questioning look. "You can't be serious right? I told you today was a date."
Silver swallowed nervously before nodding as if he had just remembered that particular piece of information. His gaze flitted across the clearing to where Blaze was kneeling on the ground, rifling gingerly through a pile of leaves with a look of pure concentration.
"That explains that," he mused softly, looking much more at ease than he had just moments before. "Wait, does … does she know it's a date?" he asked, seeming almost scared of the response he might get.
"Of course she does silly. You're clearly the only oblivious one here," Amy joked, nudging the boy beside her.
"Hmm," he mulled softly, dragging his gaze to the floor with a frown before lifting it up again. "I should go and see what she's doing," he mumbled more to himself as he stood and headed towards the purple cat as Amy ushered him along.
"So … this is a date then," a voice purred from behind her and the pink hedgehog froze in alarm.
Shoot. Of course she hadn't heard him approach.
Amy blew out a frustrated puff of air before slowly turning her head to see Sonic standing behind her, watching her through a narrowed gaze that did nothing to hide the wildness in his green eyes.
"Because I'm pretty sure I remember a certain someone telling me it definitely wasn't a double date."
Amy flashed a glance towards Silver, waiting until he was a little further away before tugging Sonic down beside her. He landed clumsily, clearly not expecting her to man handle him like that, but he caught himself before he fell right off the edge of the stump.
"It's not … at least, not really," she said, realising as soon as she said it that it wasn't much of an explanation at all.
"What does that even mean?" he said, looking thoroughly confused.
"Well, you know that Blaze and Silver are dating, right."
"No, I didn't actually," he said, his brows shooting upwards as he glanced towards them. Silver had kneeled down besides the girl and Sonic couldn't help but feel a pulse of pride that the two of them had been brave enough to follow their hearts.
"They have been for a while," she said with a shake of her head. "Of course you'd be dense enough to miss it." There was no venom to her words, only a warm acknowledgement, and Sonic gave her a lopsided grin in response.
"You love that about me," he scoffed, and Amy refused to acknowledge the remark or how it threatened to make her head spin in delight.
"They've been together forever, but they've never been on an official date so I thought it would be nice if they had it here with us. Things are always easier when there's more of you."
"Amy, you know that's not true for everyone right," he said. "Some people prefer their dates to be a little more private."
"I know that, but you've seen them," Amy said exasperatedly. "At least with a double date, we can help push them together."
"That sounds suspiciously like meddling to me."
"It's not!" she said defensively. "Besides, Blaze only agreed to go if it was a double date so, technically it's not even my doing."
Sonic's gaze flicked back to the couple by the leaves and understanding seemed to cross his feature.
"I think I get it now," he said slowly. "It's like a safety blanket thing, right. I guess it's kinda hard to be nervous when your best friend is beside you bouncing on her heels with excitement the whole time."
"Hey," Amy said in mock hurt and Sonic only chuckled in response.
...xxx...
Silver's mind was racing with thoughts as he made his way across the soft ground towards Blaze. When he'd gotten the text from Amy, it had definitely mentioned that today was supposed to be a date, but he supposed he'd been pretty oblivious to the meaning behind that.
He'd just automatically assumed it would be a friend thing, but he'd been nervous from the moment they'd arrived, feeling like he'd forgotten something important.
Amy had cleared that up pretty quickly, but the worry had vanished only to be replaced by a new sort. Did Blaze know today was a date, or was she going about today almost as oblivious as he had been until it had been spelled out for him in black and white.
This was a date.
She didn't notice him at first, at least not until he'd crouched down across from her. And even then she barely registered his presence as she sifted through the pile of leaves in front of her.
"You're looking through that leaf pile pretty intensely," he said, knowing the exact moment his voice filtered through her focus. She startled and looked up, her eyes wide and bright as she caught sight of him.
"I'm sorry Silver. I didn't mean to ignore you."
"I know," he said kindly. "You were pretty lost in concentration, but … what are you doing?"
"Oh, this," she said, a small smile finding its way onto her lips as Silver ruffled the dry leaves between them. It widened as he threw a handful into the air between them.
As mesmerising as the view of the gold and auburn leaves floating to the ground was, the sight of Blaze watching them with that transfixed gaze of hers was infinitely better he decided.
"I was trying to find one that wasn't too damaged or wind-eaten," she admitted once the final leaf had fallen back to the ground.
"Want me to help?"
She nodded and the two got to work shuffling through the various types that had been heaped together. "So, what do you want it for?" he asked as he searched.
"A … memento of sorts, I suppose," she replied, her eyes glued to her fingers as she discarded a few leaves she didn't like the look of. Silver was quiet, knowing that she'd recognise his silence as a cue to explain further. "I'd like something to remember our first proper date by, and a leaf seems just as good as anything."
"So you did know it was date," he murmured in relief, although his words were so soft she didn't catch them.
"What was that?" she asked, her golden gaze flitting up to catch his for a single glance before dropping back down to where her hands sifted the crackling leaves.
"I was just saying that it's a nice idea," he said, his fingers brushing against a large golden leaf bleeding through with shots of green and red. "This one's pretty interesting looking," he said, holding it up for his girlfriend to see.
Blaze cocked her head to the side, reaching out a single finger to trace the single vein of green before nodding. "I like this one," she said softly. "I like it even better that you found it, actually," she admitted, and Silver felt his stomach flutter at her words.
Blaze was pretty straightforward about a lot of things, but it was rare for her to be straightforward about the way she felt. So the fact that she hadn't even hesitated to tell him that had a warm heat rushing to his face.
"You two done over there," Sonic called from behind him somewhere.
"We're done," Blaze replied, taking the leaf from Silver and standing to brush the dirt off her legs. Silver did the same before giving Blaze a slight dip of the head to let her know he was ready.
He couldn't help but notice that the purple cat clutched her new leaf tightly as they joined the others to continue their trek up the mountain.
...xxx...
Sonic was the first to catch the sound of running water in the distance, and it took a severe amount of self-restraint to keep from rushing on ahead. He was supposed to stick with the others, and so he forced his feet to slow and one by one, the others overtook him.
Or at least, all but one.
Whilst Silver and Blaze shuffled on ahead, Amy hovered beside him with a concerned frown. "Are you okay Sonic? You're never usually this …" She paused as she mulled over the correct term. "… slow."
Sonic cracked a smile. "I know, but if I speed up then I won't be slowing down any time soon. And I'm pretty sure you need me to stick around for this whole thing, right?"
Amy nodded, her face softening. "Thank you Sonic."
"Ah, it's nothing," he mumbled, forcing his gaze ahead of them as Silver and Blaze rounded the bend. "And, three … two … one." Sonic snapped his fingers right at the moment Silver let out a cry of delight from the front and he turned to give Amy a knowing smirk.
"There's a waterfall all the way up here!"
It only took a second before Sonic and Amy joined the other two who had paused in their tracks. The trail ahead rounded out at a dead end, but beyond the fence that marked the trail was where the true reason for their hike lay.
A serene waterfall cascaded down from high in the mountains, the water falling steadily only to crash into a frothing pool at its base. It wasn't long before all four of them were pressed up against the fence and gazing at the precarious waters below.
The waterfall fed into a river that flowed down the opposite side of the mountain, and no matter how many treks he'd made, Sonic was still a little disappointed that he'd never managed to find the source.
"So ... what kind of surprise would you call this one, Blaze?" Sonic said, stepping back a little when water sprayed against his muzzle. As much as he liked the view, he still didn't like the idea of being too close to water.
"I would say this is definitely a good kind," she responded, and Sonic couldn't help but notice the intimate look she flashed at Silver, or the way the other hedgehog's hands were protectively wrapped around her waist as if to keep her from leaning in too close.
He turned to ask Amy what she thought of the view, but when he turned to his side he found that she had disappeared. For a split second, Sonic's heart was in his mouth as his mind considered the possibility that she'd fallen over into the water below.
But a crunch of a twig somewhere behind him brought him back to his senses and he spotted her a few steps behind, gazing wistfully up at the lip of the water above.
"What're you thinking about Ames?" he said as he joined her.
"Oh nothing," she said, dropping her gaze to meet his. "I was just trying to memorise the moment I guess. It's not often I get to come up here, and with you in tow too," she added with a smile.
Sonic shrugged in agreement. He really didn't get to spend much time with her, especially now that they were older. Maybe he needed to rectify that in the future.
"There's an easier way to remember things, you know?" he said, reaching into his pocket. "Hey Silver, catch!" he called, tossing his phone across to the other hedgehog.
Anyone else would have missed and let the phone tumble over the edge, but Silver's powers shot into effect immediately and he guided the phone into his outstretched fingers with ease.
He flashed Sonic a confused look.
"Can you snap a picture of us here?" Sonic asked, grabbing Amy's arm and guiding her closer to the waterfall. Her eyes went wide as he slipped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into his side with a wide smile.
"Sure," Silver replied before pausing a beat. "Um … Amy, are you gonna look at the camera?"
"Oh … sorry," Amy mumbled from beside him, and Sonic chuckled to himself as he realised she'd been staring at him that whole time.
The phone camera flashed three times consecutively, and at one point Sonic snuck a glance to his side under the guise of fixing his scarf, before Silver lowered the phone with a frown.
"Is it done?" the white hedgehog asked, voice laced with confusion and an expression to match.
"Let me check," Sonic said as he let his arms slip off of Amy. "Thanks bud," he said as he reached Silver and accepted his phone, showing the other boy how to check the gallery for the recent photos.
He didn't dare glance in Amy's direction until he was done, but by that time she was lost in conversation with Blaze and he'd already lost his hold on any words he might have wanted to say to her anyway.
...xxx...
Lunch was a simple meal of sandwiches and granola bars downed with water. No one had been excited at the prospect of carrying too much so they'd all packed pretty light. Amy had been pretty vague on the details, so he and Blaze hadn't even been sure how long they'd be out for.
The walk up the trail had been intriguing enough, that Silver hadn't even noticed he was ravenous until he took the first bite of his sandwich sitting cross legged on the ground beside Blaze.
It was like shattering a glass bottle and releasing his hunger from its prison as suddenly his stomach grumbled loudly in protest of the lack of sustenance, audible even over the noise of the water crashing down behind him.
"Sorry," he said to no one in particular, his mouth still full of food as he took another bite to sate himself. He caught Blaze watching him from his side, her gaze flitting away to her own food when he noticed.
He smiled into his sandwich, wondering when she'd just let herself openly look at him whenever she wanted. It wasn't as if he minded. Not if it was her at least.
He jolted in surprise as something warm touched his free hand, the one resting on the ground beside him. He glanced down to see the purple cat's hand hovering next to his own and realised that she must have knocked him by accident.
Unless …
Still staring straight ahead and, taking a bite of his sandwich for good measure, Silver stretched out his pinkie finger until it collided against the edge of Blaze's hand. He considered pulling it back, but before he could, the cat had shifted her own so that it was suddenly tangled with his.
Silver swallowed nervously, his gaze flitting between the two hedgehogs sat across from him but neither of them seemed to have noticed anything.
It was the slightest of contact, his smallest finger hooked innocuously to Blaze's, but already Silver could feel her head radiating through him. She was always warm, likely due to her flames, whereas more often than not his own hands were ice cold.
When he'd mentioned that those two things meant they were destined to be together, she had rolled her eyes affectionately, but he couldn't help but think it again now as her warmth flooded through him.
They remained that way for the duration of their small lunches, even as Amy handed out jam tarts that she'd made the night before for dessert. Throughout all of it, neither Amy nor Sonic made any comment on their linked hands.
Maybe they just assumed it was normal for them or something, but Silver was thankful regardless. He was a little regretful when it came time to begin the trek back down and Blaze removed her finger to collect her belongings, clutching at her leaf once more.
As the group made their way back down the mountain, Silver found himself missing Blaze even though she was stood right beside him. He knew that he needed to touch her, to remind himself that she was right there, but he was reluctant to admit it to her.
This was a date and they both knew it. Silver held her hand all the time. So why then did the first fact make him so nervous about the second?
His brows dipped as he contemplated his dilemma, and it didn't take her long to notice and call his name softly enough that the other two walking ahead wouldn't notice. "Is everything okay?" she asked, voice hushed but full of concern.
"Yeah," he said quickly. "Actually, do you mind if …" he trailed off, his fingers flexing nervously at his side as he realised he couldn't go through with his original request. "Your leaf, you want me to look after it for you?"
"Oh," Blaze said, looking at little surprised. "Please do," she said, holding out the leaf she had been twirling in her fingers. He took it gently and smiled.
"You should hold it in your other hand," she commented, and Silver did, a little confused as to how it made any difference until he felt Blaze's arm link with his and her body press closer to him as she slid her hand down his arm and into his
Silver caught her eye and she kept her smile steady. How did she always know exactly what he wanted even when he said nothing? It didn't really matter if he was honest, having her around was more than enough.
"Thank you," he whispered, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. She returned the favour without hesitation.
...xxx...
Amy's heart was so full as she finally reached her garden gate at the end of the day, waving off the others as they headed to their respective homes and times. She'd had an incredible day, and she only hoped the others would say the same thing.
They'd made it down the mountain just before the sun began to set, so by the time she sat down on her doorstep, she could see her garden burn in beautiful deep colours in the glow of the fast disappearing sun.
She didn't want to go inside just yet, and she knew it was stupid, but it almost felt like she could make the memory of the day last longer the more she lingered out here.
Going inside and sheltering from the chilly air she'd spent the days company in felt like finally deciding that it was over and done, and she wanted to make today last as long as possible.
Picking up her phone, she quickly sent everyone messages to thank them for their company and to check that they'd all gotten home safely before placing it face down on the ground beside her.
She watched quietly as the sun dipped down in the horizon, its soft glow replaced by the equally soft glow of the moon that bathed her view in ivory. A moth fluttered nearby, attracted by the light of her phone screen as she checked her messages to see replies from both Silver and Blaze.
She missed them already, but they'd promised to be back soon, so she refused to hold it against them. Especially after she'd caught them clinging to each other more and more as the day went on.
That sight alone had made her romantic heart sing with joy.
She had expected to have to intervene more, despite Sonic's warning on meddling, but as it happened, she hadn't had to do anything at all. The two of them managed just find on their own.
Shivering a little from the cold, she stood, fully ready to head inside when her phone buzzed once more in her hands. She lifted it up to see who had messaged her, and the butterflies in her chest soared at the name of the sender.
Sonic.
She unlocked it quickly, opening the message.
S: just made it home S: today was fun
Amy shook her head at his response, an involuntary smile lifting her lips.
Despite being the speediest of the bunch, of course Sonic was the last one to make it home. She had no doubt he had made several detours along the way, but the thought only made her smile widen.
She was about to put her phone away when it buzzed again and she saw a picture flash up in the chat, one that made her sink back down onto the doorstep in surprise.
Sonic had sent her a photo of the two of them, the very one that Silver had taken that day by the waterfall. Amy's face in the picture was so pink that she looked like she'd smeared berry juice all over her face, but it wasn't herself she was drawn to.
No.
She had been too concerned with the unexpectedness of it all at the time that she hadn't noticed Sonic at all. She had the vague memory of him snickering beside her once Silver had her attention, but she'd had no idea that he'd been looking at her whilst the photo was being taken.
And like … that.
Like she was the only thing worth looking at, even with the wonderous waterfall falling in a sparkling rainbow of light behind them.
Before she could dwell too hard on it, Amy send back two hearts.
His reply was instant.
S: speechless huh. you can't think of a single word?
A: I'm sure I can think of at least one.
Amy replied, unable to back down from a challenge. She bit her bottom lip, wondering if there was actually any word that could truly encompass how wonderful the day had been despite it not being an actual date.
She bit back a giggle as Sonic replied with a series of impatient replies, each one less coherent than the last. Making him wait just as long as it took for her to set the photo of the two of them as her phone background, Amy finally succumbed to his pleads and hit send.
A: Magical.

and scene. did i attempt to mash up almost every single prompt into one fic because i have no time or am i just lazy. yes and also yes.
i hope you all had a great sonamy/silvaze week! i'm slowly catching up on some of the stuff created and i've already seen some amazing work! there's so many talented people in the sonic community, i feel blessed.
this had so many pov jumps that i might have confused myself a little whilst writing lol. if the transitions are terrible, my bad (it's all a learning curve right?) i hope you enjoyed it for what it was meant to be. i know i had a great time writing some of the interactions, especially between the characters who don't meet often.
thanks so much for reading! let me know your thoughts if you have a moment 😊

Super!SonAmy - Zero gravity
Author’s note: this is the culmination of two things in particular; this recent headcanon and this old but still very cute ask. Super!SonAmy is quite an interesting idea already, so mixing it up with that sort of inspiration should make for quite a beautiful little prompt. Oh, and this post is also part of my 2020 birthday bash. Enjoy, and don’t forget to check my special content section for more SonAmy!
“Woo! We did it!” Super Sonic celebrated, as he dealt the finishing blow to Eggman’s powered up mech trying to launch a desperate attack at the Starlight Space Station.
The battle caused a significant portion of debris to fly off everywhere in the open space, making navigation quite difficult.
“Take that, Egghead,” Super Sonic pointed towards a fleeing Eggman in the distance, trying just as hard as Sonic to dodge all the debris, “your ugly machine isn’t enough against the Chaos Emeralds power! Right, Amy?”
“Heh... we surely did.” Super Amy was lagging behind Sonic, struggling to keep a steady flight. When she reached his side, she stopped for a moment, catching a breath and also bracing herself.
“H-hey, is it me or it’s getting colder out here?” She asked.
“What do you mean by colder?” Sonic turned to see her, his sassy attitude immediately changed to a concerned one. “Whoa, whoa, what’s going on with you?”
“Huh?” Amy looked at her hands, finding her super yellow glow started to fade little by little. “I don’t know, but I’m starting to feel weaker...”
“Oh no... he did get you, right?”
Amy nodded.
“That isn’t good news.” Sonic scanned the space surrounding them, looking for a clear path out of the debris-filled field around them. “And you’re feeling weaker, is that correct?”
She nodded again.
“You’re losing your super state. And we’re quite far from the station, at least too far to make it before you turn back to normal.”
“It’s fine, Sonic” Amy tried to calm him down, after all, it wasn't her first time going super. “You can always carry me, right?”
She smiled at him.
“With this much debris flying in all sort of directions, no. You could get hurt.”
“Well, what’s another scratch going to do to me after that amazing battle?”
“Not gonna risk it.”
“And what then? Are you gonna keep staring at me until I pass out?”
“Let’s get back to the Station, we’ll make the most out of your energy left.” He grabbed her arm. “I’ll lead and keep stuff away from us”
They navigated around the debris, looking for an opening that would give them a straight shot back to the station. With each passing second, Super Sonic got more and more stressed, and in exchange, he grew impatient and a bit more reckless.
“Sonic, stop.” Amy said, just as they were leaving behind the area were the big battle took place. “It’s getting way too cold, I’m freezing!”
Sonic looked at her, concerned.
“What are we gonna do, then?”
“Can you call Tails to pick us up?”
“I don’t think he’s gonna come.” Sonic reflected, looking at the space station in the distance. “He should’ve been here long ago. Maybe there’s something going on there.”
“Well, there’s gotta be something we can do about it.”
“I’m trying, Amy!” Sonic suddenly yelled, and his voice cracked.
He took a deep breath before continuing.
“I’m trying to think about something... no, that shouldn’t work.”
Amy stared at him, confused.
“...what shouldn’t work?”
Sonic kept scanning her with his eyes and muttering to himself. “I’ve never tried it, I don’t think it’s something that can be done...”
Her yellow glow faded so much that small patches of her pink hair started showing as she was shivering a lot more. Sonic’s desperation was reaching a breaking point – if the rumors were true, he might have a potential way out, but he had to risk it right now.
“Here goes nothing.” He whispered.
“...Sonic?”
He slowly closed his distance to her, then his eyes, and finally make the move for her lips. At first, he felt the same cold she was feeling, but moments later a big gold flash engulfed them, feeling warm and powerful again.
Amy stood frozen in place, trying to process what was happening. She opened her eyes and raised a hand to her mouth, quickly realizing it was now warm and emitting that golden glow again
“Sonic...” She was perplexed, “how...?”
Sonic didn’t respond. He backed off, blushing and refusing to look at her.
They remained silent for a moment.
There were so many things going on Amy’s mind at that moment, so many different questions and she wanted answers for at least a couple of them.
“How did you know that would work?”
“I didn’t.” Sonic responded, scratching the back of his head embarrassed. “I knew it was possible to share some energy, but never this much... or in this way.”
Amy kept her eyes on him, admiring him.
“Okay, let’s keep going,” he reached his hand to her, before turning towards the station, “and, please, don’t tell anyone about this.”
“Oh, you think they weren’t watching already?” Amy teased him.
Sonic panicked. “Wh-what?”
“I mean, don’t you think they have been watching us from the Space Station all this time?” She sounded more confident than ever.
“N-no. They would’ve sent help already if that was the case.” He kept flying towards the station, now faster that before.
“But what if they thought it’s all part of the celebration... like, a celebratory kiss?”
“No!” Sonic tried to shake those thoughts out of his head.
“You wanna bet?” Amy rushed in front, stopping him before pointing out again at the ever closer station. “Then let’s go and find it out, c’mon!”
Sonic groaned, and followed behind her.
She was happier than ever, so much so that she didn’t notice Sonic wasn’t actually falling behind on purpose.
“What’s up, slowpoke? Your feelings not letting you catch up to me? Heehee!”
She kept teasing him, as Sonic looked at his hands, realizing his own glow started to fade out now.
“Uh oh...” He was getting concerned again.
Amy was quite ahead of him when she turned around and found out what was going, coming back for him in an instant.
“Well, that was quicker than I imagined.” Amy said, holding one of his hands. “You do know what this means...”
Sonic tried to hide his blush, and didn’t resist as Amy kissed him without hesitation. He might have hesitated the first time, but for Amy the sheer determination to keep them both going was stronger than whatever their own feelings were.
Another moment of silence followed, as they stared at each other so closely their own glows felt like just one.
“You know, we can’t keep doing this all day.” He whispered, as she slowly stepped away. No words, just smiling.
He continued speaking to her, “we gotta find another way to get back to safety that doesn’t involve stopping every minute for... that.”
Amy reflected for a bit, then an idea struck her mind, with Sonic giving her a distrusting look.
“But what if we don’t stop... well... you know.”
The sole idea of it was too embarrasing, even for her.
“What do you mean...” He reflected for a bit, “oh... no. No way, Amy!”
“I know! I know!” She was still too embarrassed to look him in the eyes. “But it’s the only chance we have!”
Sonic froze, looking how Amy’s glow was fading once again, faster than the last time. He kept thinking, and trying to come up with any possible alternatives.
This time it felt like there was no other choice.
“But how are we going to reach the space station if we won’t be looking at it?” Sonic broke the silence.
Amy looked back at him, then at the station and back at him again. “I think we have a straight shot from here! Just aim for it, launch ourselves towards it and pray we’ll reach it in time. Should be enough, right?”
Sonic let out a sigh.
“I hope so.”
And so they both slowly embraced each other one final time, launching themselves directly at the ever closer Station in a big and twisting golden flash.
From the Starlight Station it wasn’t exactly clear what exactly they were doing, only the fact they were coming back at a blazing fast speeds.
They barely made it back before losing both of their super forms and crushing down on the floor of the loading bay next to some crates, as everyone rushed to check if they were fine. Sonic got himself up and, without uttering a single word, dissapeared back to his quarters, leaving only Amy to be asked what exactly happened out there in space.
She needed some help to get back up, and a bit of medical support for her massive headache produced by crashing so hard, but she was in a way better mood than Sonic.
“What we just did was nothing short of amazing.” Amy happily responded to the questions about what went wrong. “We managed to defeat Eggman and save everyone here and back on the planet. We were so happy in fact that we couldn’t keep ourselves from celebrating before getting back.”
She took a moment before continuing, since she was blushing more than ever.
“You know, things happen out there, but I’ll just say that with this victory we managed to return the peace and love back to our world, love in particular.”
Sonic never spoke out about what happened.

Sonic catches Amy reading / writing sonadow fan fiction?
LMAO YES, THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING THIS ONE, I WANTED TO DO THIS SOOOOO BAD. ALSO SORRY THIS WAS LATE.
Sonic was over at Amy’s house, enjoying some cookies and tea, because goddamnit, her double chocolate-chip cookies were to die for.
“Thanks for inviting me over, Ames. These cookies are sooo good!” Sonic moaned in delight. Amy giggled.
“You’re welcome, Sonic. I made some for Tails, but the poor little guy was up all night working on an invention, so I put some cookies on the counter for him, and wrote a note, so he knows I made them.” Amy said, as she put the tray down on the coffee table. “Anyways, I’m going to change, you can turn on the T.V. Okay?” Sonic nodded. She went to her room, and Sonic watched as her sway her hips. He got a little excited, but controlled it. He turned his head back and turned on the T.V. Please be Comedy Chimp, please be Comedy Chimp-
And it’s a drama. Wait no. It’s a play. It’s Hamilton. Wait, wasn’t it supposed to be on Disney Plus on July 3rd? Oh welp, might as well watch this. Sonic remembered the time he and the gang found Amy’s script, and they acted to it. He looked in the drawer that it was originally in, only to find a book labeled ‘Sonadow.’ Curious to what it was, he opened it, and skimmed to a random chapter. It said ‘Pregnancy Test.’ He started reading until he realized that Shadow and himself were the protagonists of the story. Shadow was the pregnant one. This book was in Amy’s house. In. Her. Drawer.
“Okay I’m back-” Amy stopped in her tracks when she saw Sonic holding the book. She immediately thought of excuses and stories to why she had that book. She wrote it, but was glad that she hadn’t written her name down in the book, otherwise it would get very weird between them. “That’s n-not mine...” Sonic appeared quite flustered.
“Then who does it belong to?” Sonic asked, his eyes twitching in what seemed to be anger.
“...Would you believe me if I said it belonged to Lyra?” Amy replied, hoping Sonic would actually fall for that.
“Makes sense, I guess. I mean, I thought she shipped...well...us?” Sonic blushed deeper while saying.
“S-she has many ships, so don’t expect her to have just one...” She knew that Lyra had OCD’s when even thinking about Sonadow, but it was the only reasonable excuse she had, she didn’t want it to become awkward between them.
“O-Oh...y-you haven’t read this, have you?” He asked her.
“I saw the title and understood immediately...” She said cautiously. She knew Sonic very well, but at a time like this, she was very confused as to what his reaction would be.
“That girl is going to publicly humiliate me one day.” Sonic nervously chuckled. Amy repeated his actions, not sure of what to do now.
“I-I’ll give it back to her later, why don’t you just eat the cookies and pretend you never saw that?” Amy said in a rushed expression. Sonic noticed and decided not to think too much of it.
  “...Okay...” He hesitated before saying.
- TIME SKIP!!!! -
Amy was sitting in her room, doing something on her laptop that had her complete focus, Sonic observed. He made some sounds on purpose to see how Amy would react, but she didn’t even seem to notice.
“What is she doing? She’s never this distracted.” Sonic thought out loud, only to hear Amy giggle while typing something in. She looked like she was about to swoon. She started cracking up, and put the laptop on the edge of the bed, which was on the other side, and she got on her back and tried to take deep breaths. Sonic snuck in through her windows, which have no glass and are covered by tapestries. He started reading whatever she was typing and saw Shadow’s name.
“Ah~ I just love Sonadow~ It has a better chance of being canon than SonAmy will ever have.” She said, completely unaware of the second person in her room. Sonic got up and cleared his throat. Amy’s eyes immediately widened, her eyesight never leaving the ceiling. “IS SOMETHING LYRA WOULD SAY HEHEHEHEH...” Amy nervously continued saying, before taking the computer.
“Then how come you were writing it?” Sonic asked in a disapproving tone.
“Uh...Lyra was asking me to edit it, so I was helping?” Sonic still looked unconvinced. he yanked the laptop out of her hands.
“Why the fuck do you think that SonAmy has a less chance of being canon compared to Sonadow?” He questioned, waving the laptop in the air.
“Well, you would never like me, and you’re always arguing with Shadow and you just seem like you enjoy his company more than when you’re with me.” Amy replied sadly, her ears drooping.
“Ames, I enjoy your company! I just tease him that he’s slow, that’s all. No romantic feelings for him. Just rivalry and friendship!” Sonic exclaimed. Amy giggled.
“But wouldn’t you like to be more with him?” Amy asked, scooting closer.
“Eww, no. He’s too emo. I prefer girls.” Sonic said, dropping the laptop on the bed, and putting his hands behind his head.
“Yeah, I know. I see how you always flirt with them...” Amy responded with a melancholy tone. Sonic noticed this and got an idea.
“Welp, I gotta go...run, and stuff like that.” And with that, Sonic zips off to who-knows-where. Amy quickly grabs her laptop and clicks the publish button.
- MEANWHILE WITH SONIKKU -
Sonic went to Lyra’s house to get something, and he went back to his hut in less than two seconds.
“Okay, Sonamy. What are lemons...” Sonic zoned out, wondering what on Mobius citrus had to do with Sonic and Amy. Sonic wasn’t a huge fan of having anything with lemons in it, and he knew that Amy doesn’t really make sour or bitter foods. He clicked on what said Sonamy boom lemons, and saw that there were a lot of chapters. He went to the first one, and started reading. “Oh. OH. OHHHHH MY CHAOS, HOLY SHIT! THAT’S A LEMON?! AND WHY THE FUCK IS MY DICK ONLY FOUR INCHES IN THIS STORY?! IT’S MORE THAN THAT-” Sonic stopped himself when he realized that he was upset over his member size and not the fact that Amy was taking control of him in this story.
“I need something...AH! Here! This is perfect.” Sonic smirked at his idea, and then ran to Amy’s house to bring his idea to action.
“Sonic?” Amy answered the door, and her face was showing shock. Sonic walked towards her, until she was leaning against the back of her couch.
“My beautiful Ames, my gorgeous Rose, how would you like to go on a date with me?
“I-I-I-I...what?” Amy asked flustered at the sudden and definitely unexpected question.
“Did I stutter? If anything, you were the one stuttering. I know, I’d be stuttering too, if I were to ask me out on a date~” Sonic repeated himself, adding a witty comment in that.
“Are you Sonic?” Amy cautiously questioned, hoping this wasn’t another prank by Morpho.
“I am, Amy. Sonic the Hedgehog, Fastest Thing Alive.” Sonic proudly stated. Amy giggled.
“So you are. Why are you asking me out on a date? Is this to prove that you’re not into Shadow?”
“No. I’m asking you out because I want to, and you better say ‘yes’ or I’m just going to nag you until you do.”
“Okay, okay. Yes. I’ll go on a date with you, but what’s up with your sudden flirtiness? You never act like this, let alone with me.” Amy inquired. That made Sonic smirk.
“Why not? I have to be your dream hedgehog, otherwise you’d ship Silver with Shadow.” Sonic responded. Amy shook. Sonic got worried by her weird uncharacteristic actions. “Amy! Why are you shaking? Are you okay?” He saw that her eyes were glossed with tears. “Amy! Are you crying?” He honestly didn’t know what to do, hug her? That’s what Amy does whenever someone’s crying. He wrapped his arms around her, genuine worry crawling over his features. Amy flinched as soon as his hands touched her, and she backed away after taking in everything.
-----------STOP HERE------------------- There are two endings for this story. Right under this is the humorous one, and below that is the one for hopeless romantics.
“Okay Sonic, game’s over. What do you want?” Amy asked after attempting to ignore the weird twitch and tingles in her body.
“Whatever do you mean, Amelia?” Sonic responded in a dreamy tone. Amy rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.
“Do you even like me? You only flirt with every other girl, apparently not me...unless you’re trying to get or prove something...” Amy hesitatingly tells him, puzzled as to why he was acting charming to her. Sonic’s cheeks and ears turned a deep shade of red.
“...Maybe, but I only flirt for a reason-”
“Don’t give me that shitty excuse, Sonic the Hedgehog. You’re a terrible liar, and I don’t want to hear it.” Amy sassed out, which wasn’t surprising to Sonic, because ever since they all moved to Hedgehog Village, her attitude changed, as so her habits.
“But it’s not...I actually like you! And if I have to chase you for the rest of my life to prove it, so be it! I’ll run everywhere just to look for you! I want you~!” Sonic whispered in her ear, after giving it a nip and kiss.
“Please don’t. I don’t want our reputations tarnished because you decide to run after me like some kind of weirdo. Honestly, I should’ve written that you were the pregnant one,” (anyone noticed the fanfiction reference? :D) Amy stated bluntly. Sonic took two steps towards her. He leaned his face in her’s.
“Say that again, Pinky.” Sonic warned as her arms went around his neck. He heard a ‘POOF,’ and sweatdropped.
“What did you call me, Blue Boy?” She queried. Sonic started to sweat and blushed once again at the sudden closeness. His confidence then returned out of nowhere.
“I called you, Pinky. What’s the matter? Don’t like it?”  Sonic smugly replied. Amy glared at him.
“It’s not that, it’s just that I’m getting turned on by the second~.” Amy lustfully said, biting her bottom lip. Sonic widened her eyes.
“W-WHAT?!” Sonic shrieked out, not knowing whether to pounce or to run away.
“Why are you acting all jumpy? You literally just bit my ear in a seducing tone!” Amy yelled out at him, her sexy act forgotten. Sonic looked heavily disturbed at Amy’s choice of words.
“Seducing?!” Sonic squeaked. Amy was trying her best not to swoon at how adorable she found that squeak to be.
“Yes! Don’t you want me?!” Amy hollered, her own cheeks burning up.
“Okay, fine! Yes! Now can we get to the part where we say how we feel and kiss?” Sonic uttered out.
“I love you!” Amy exclaimed. You shouldn’t be shocked by her boldness, as she’s been like that all her life.
“I-I l-lo-love you too!” He responded. There was practically steam coming out of their ears by the amount of blushing that was happening.
“Let’s kiss!” Before Sonic could respond, Amy pounced on him and tackled his lips. They both felt fireworks soar through their body, shivering at the new sensation that they gave each other.
“Give me a strip show, baby~” Sonic inaudibly murmured in her ear.
   “Only if you use protection.”
   “What’s the fun in that?!”
HOPELESS ROMANTIC ending----------
“I-I’m sorry.” She breathed out in a troubled voice. She slammed the door shut, and ran to her room sobbing. Sonic was confused. What did he do wrong? He knocked on the door, before remembering that this was Amy Rose. She never opened the door when she was upset, she just wants to be alone.
‘Well, not today!’ Sonic thought, as he broke down Amy’s door. He was going to have hell to pay, but it would be worth it. He went to her bedroom door and heard her crying. He did the same thing that he had did with Amy’s front door, and saw her face-first on the bed. He tip-toed towards her, and crawled on top of her. She looked so fragile in this state, that he just wanted to hug her sadness away.
“Ames, if you’re ready to talk, why are you crying?” Sonic gently raised her chin up and asked.
“Haven’t you wondered why I even like Sonadow fanfiction?” Amy asked her love interest. Sonic thought for a moment, and realized that not even he knew why she liked it. It was probably the most random thing she’d be into, and the ship itself was very random.
“Never really thought about it during the thirty minutes in which everything happened. It actually makes me think about it now.” Sonic told her. She wrapped her arms around his torso, which caused Sonic to stiffen. After a few moments, he began to rock her side-to-side to calm her down.
“I thought you’d never love me, so I tried to keep my mind out of reality...” She said, sniffling in between. “At first, I started reading fanfiction. I saw SonAmy fanfiction, and it broke my heart seeing it. I read Sonadow, and it still hurt, but I just couldn’t get enough of it, next thing I know, I’m writing a popular story on Fanfiction platforms and the compliments and comments I get makes me feel happy. Even though it injures my heart too much...” Amy sobbed. Sonic lowered his eyelids.
“Amy, if it’s giving you a heart-ache, then why do you still do any of that?” Sonic queried. Amy gave an emotionless chuckle.
“People say that I make them happy writing the fanfiction. They smile, and I’m happy that I make them happy. Even if it pains me to do it.” Amy smiled. (Lmao don’t worry, it doesn’t happen to me) Sonic couldn’t tell whether it was because she was happy genuinely, or her clouded, closed mind was telling her that she was happy. She clearly wouldn’t be happy if it gives her pain.
“Then stop it. It hurts you, so you should stop. You’re basically telling yourself to feel the pain.” Sonic told her while stroking her quills gently. He kissed her forehead and continued. “Start connecting with your friends and soon-to-be-boyfriend, please.” Sonic said, trying to keep a straight face as he felt her jolt up.
“When you say soon-to-be-boyfriend, do you mean, you?” Amy asked, trying her hardest not to wag her tail in excitement.
“Who else? Plus, don’t hide your tail, I wanna see it~.” Sonic lustfully whispers in her ear. She took her hands off her of her tail, letting it sway in happiness. Sonic, being a perverted, hormonal 19 year old, got an idea.
...
...
...
“SONIC! WHAT THE FUCK-” Amy squealed as Sonic actually had the nerve to pull her tail.
   “I wanna see more~”
“You wanna see more?” She mused. She raised up her dress a little more...
“YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO MARRY ME IF YOU WANT TO TOUCH ME!” Amy exclaimed, taking Sonic off guard.
“I JUST BECAME YOUR BOYFRIEND! ONE STEP AT A TIME, AMES!” Sonic yelled back.
“SO?! IF YOU WANT THIS BODY, THEN YOU’LL HAVE TO VOW TO IT!” Amy continued. Sonic made a face.
“WELL I LOVE YOU, MY BEAUTIFUL ROSE!” Sonic unexpected shouted.
“ISN’T SCREAM THERAPY WONDERFUL?! IT MAKES YOU REVEAL YOUR THOUGHTS MUCH EASIER THAN JUST SAYING THEM! ALSO, I LOVE YOU TOO, YOU LITTLE SHIT!” Amy screamed.
   “WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?!”
“ONLY IF YOU BE MY BOYFRIEND!”
    “GOOD!”
    “FANTASTIC!”
And they all lived happily ever after, (Eggman is in his lair fangirling with me) THE END.

Light Reading
This is the second part of my Sonamy Week catch up! This fic was written for the diary prompt though, arguably, it could fit with movie night as well! It’s a little over 5.2k words long, I hope you will enjoy!
Sonic gets caught in a storm and, with few other options available, takes shelter in Amy's apartment. It's an awkward situation, one he's thoroughly unprepared for, but the discovery of a little blue book will turn the whole situation on its head.
The rain was falling in sheets, lashing against the frosted glass of the bathroom window. Sonic was shivering, both at that sound and the frigid dampness locked deep in his fur. Try as he might, dragging a soft, pink, towel through his spines time and time again; dryness seemed just out of reach. A groan slipped his throat; hanging that towel back on the radiator-rack he reached for another only to find it warm but damp. Despite his pouting, he still opted to take it; brushing his spines in an attempt to use it for all it was worth. If only he had space to run, to simply shake the water from his fur. Alas, Amy's apartment was much too tiny and that storm wasn't going to let up any time soon.
He'd been out late running, what a surprise, when the rain started. There was a flash of lightning, a crack of thunder and before the dark skies opened and rain poured freely. For what felt like hours he'd been stuck dashing from bus stop to bus stop, lingering under bridges and hiding literally anywhere that would keep him safe from the torrential downpour. But his mind wouldn't let him linger in any of those places, as much as he hated the rain he needed something to do, so when he happened to arrive outside Amy's apartment building he wasn't in a position to refuse.
She'd been overjoyed to see him of course, insisting he come in to dry himself before he could even ask and proclaiming he could stay the night before that thought had even dawned on him. The moment he agreed, to the former at least, she'd dragged him inside without hesitation; surely soaking herself in the process, but smiling and openly scheming without a care in the world. Talk of a movie had come up, something distracting enough to kill time till either the storm died down or they managed to doze off. Sonic knew he had more than enough excuses to stay, he was a long way from Tail's workshop and the rain didn't look like it'd be letting up any time soon, but wasn't this all more than a little roman…
The blue blur caught himself, he brought the soaked towel up to his already dry muzzle in an attempt to relieve his blush. Sonic didn't like thinking; that was why he ran. If he went a mile a minute, he wasn't forced to consider these things. Whenever he was stranded, be it beneath a bridge or within a cramped bathroom, he knew his mind would start to question what he really wanted and where he truly wanted to be.
Was it really any wonder he'd ended up outside her house? He'd been thinking way too much, thinking about her in particular way too much. Yet, it was because of that thinking he doubted he could bring himself to leave; seeing the smile his arrival had caused…
Feeling thoroughly uncool, yet paradoxically wet, Sonic quickly returned the towel to the drying rack. There had to be a quicker way to get dry and, more importantly, he had to get out of this room. Much of his fur still matted, he managed to push his way out of the bathroom and down her apartment's short hallway.
"Amy, do you have a hairdryer or somethin'? I'm still soaked." He padded his way into her living/dining room, surely trekking water all the way.
The room was split by a black countertop; on one side a small kitchen area while the outside was a more general living space. He had no idea how long he'd been in there, but it'd been long enough for her to prepare quite the spread. A wide selection of movies had been laid out, ranging from the romantic comedies he'd expected to the musicals he'd somewhat anticipated to a surprising array of horror and action movies. Her couch wasn't just for sitting anymore, a pink duvet and additional pillows had been added to it. Assumedly they were for both the movie and him to sleep with afterwards. It was embarrassing but, in truth, he'd expected that the two of them would end up bundled together beneath a blanket of some sort. Well, they wouldn't if he couldn't get dry. A glance toward the kitchen showed him that there was a large bag of microwaveable popcorn lounging in an open microwave, prepared for popping.
Still, despite all the signs that she was around; Amy was nowhere to be seen. A glance to her front door proved the chain-latch was still on, she was in the apartment but not this room? Stranger still, she was in the apartment but hadn't heard him? Her pad was small, consisting of only the room he stood in, the bathroom and two more rooms he'd never actually entered. One had to be her bedroom, despite the blankets and pillows he knew she didn't sleep on the couch, while the last was maybe… storage?
Sonic turned around, dark navy carpet still underfoot, and made his way back up the hallway. One mystery door was opposite the bathroom, the other the very end of the hallway. Unsure what to do, he called out again. "Amy, you're still here, right?"
Again, there was no answer. He arrived at the first door and gave it a knock, trying not to be too light but (at the same time) not too heavy-handed.
Finally, he heard something; the dull thud of falling books coupled with a squeal. "Oh, Sonic!" Stomps followed the outcry, her bedroom door was quickly thrown open and a garish (very pink) room was exposed. The walls were a subdued shade of magenta, even in its stripped state the pink bedposts characterised the bed, he couldn't help noticing coloured her closet doors were painted a sunset hue and even her room's light bulb was tinted. The only exceptions to this pink rule were the blue picture frames that hung above her bed. Books were splayed across the floor, having fallen from the shelf above her desk. He was struggling to make out their names but, more importantly; Sonic was trying to do anything but stare at Amy.
When he arrived she'd been in her usual garb, but somehow (between pushing him into the bathroom and preparing the living room spread) she'd found the time to change into a set of pyjamas. The first thing he noticed was her quills, rather than being pushed back by a hairband she'd pulled them into a small, messy, braid. He didn't know such a thing was even possible, but soon his eyes drifted lower. Amy was wearing a white t-shirt with tiny pink roses embroidered into what looked to be a soft cotton material. This would have been fine, perfectly fine, were it not for the shirt's cut. It looked baggy and comfortable but at the same time, somehow, small? It was as though the shirt was hanging on her shoulders rather than simply covering them; as if it would pass beyond her midriff if she stretched too far. Sonic heaved his eyes away before he could fully take in her pink pyjama bottoms, trying to stare literally anywhere else.
The blue blur's heart was pounding and the butterflies in his chest were flapping in time. He'd felt this many times before, but never so strongly and certainly never without some kind of contact. He tried to swallow his blush as best he could.
She was trying her best to smile, trying to look natural, but even in his current state he knew something was wrong. "Sonic, nice of you to drop by. Do you want the full tour?" She'd clearly caught his scanning, matching it with her own wit despite her clear puzzlement.
"Long time no see." He choked out, still trying to focus on her open room rather than her garb. "I-I was just looking for a hairdryer? The towels weren't quite enough."
"Oh, right, that makes sense. Just…" Her mind seemed to be elsewhere but she quickly caught herself. "Give me a second." Amy quickly returned to her room, glancing at the book pile as she sidestepped it, before turning and opening the bottom drawer of her bedside cabinet. He attempted to pin his gaze to the book pile as best he could, hearing a brief shuffling of plastic before catching her eye again upon her return. "Sorry for leaving you out there."
"I'm just surprised you weren't waitin' for me." Did that sound possessive? He was trying to show some kind of confidence. "Is everything alright?
"Oh, everything's fine. I'm just looking for something. It's not really important," She insisted, eyes already darting from him to scan the room. "Just a little part of my evening rituals, the final thing I do to sign the day off."
Sonic wanted to pry, he truly did, but the heat on his face was simply too much. If he couldn't stand next to her for five minutes, help her search for whatever this was, how was he going to manage one movie let alone the whole night? Did she have to dress like that? More importantly, why did he have to care that she was dressed like that?
"Y-Yeah, no sweat. Take all the time you need!" He wanted to ask what she was looking for, try to be of some help, but the best he could manage was. "Thanks for the drier."
"No problem, there's popcorn in the microwave if you want to start it?" Amy recommended, "I set out some movies on the coffee table too, you can go ahead and pick. I'm happy watching whatever, as long as it's with you." Usually he could handle flirts like that, but with her being dressed like that Sonic found himself blushing brighter.
A particularly loud thunder-crack punctuated the momentary silence between them. The rumble gave him a moment to consider his next move but it was much too brief for him to come up with anything of worth. He couldn't muster the gall to hold eye contact, let alone offer his assistance.
Well, if he couldn't do that, he could at least be encouraging. He shot her a thumbs up and a small grin. "Like I said, take all the time you need, Ames. The storm ain't goin' anywhere so neither am I."
"Still, I'll try to be quick. I've got you here all to myself, you think I wanna miss a moment?" She promised and joked, still managing a more genuine smile. "I'll be through as soon as possible."
Their vow made, the pair went their separate ways. Sonic was just happy he could look directly ahead of himself again without blushing. He felt uncool, very uncool, but at least his heartbeat was gradually slowing. Was her dress choice intentional? He assumed not but that didn't reduce its embarrassing effect. Perhaps when they started watching films it would be better, she'd surely try to snuggle up against him at some point but at least his attention would be drawn elsewhere.
Well, hopefully, it would be…
Finding his way back into the kitchen, Sonic quickly scanned the popcorn bag; four minutes at full power, easy enough to prepare. He turned the dial and slammed the door; soon a combination of humming and popping filled the room. Food like this made up more of his diet than it probably should have, not that he really cared; he could run on just about anything. Come to think of it, Amy had reprimanded his diet a number of times; dragging him off to restaurants for what she'd insist were gourmet chilli dogs.
The moment she re-entered his mind the image of that outfit did too, as did the fact he'd so thoroughly failed to offer his assistance. This whole situation was just so embarrassing, so uncool. He usually let his heart decided where he'd wander, it was to be expected that it would lead him to her every so often. But did it have to do that today? Tonight especially? He'd been unable to refuse himself so, as much as he wanted to, he couldn't place the blame solely on his hatred of water.
Turning his attention back to the microwave, Sonic found only ten seconds had passed. Evidently, the world was moving much slower than his chaotic mind. Four minutes, just four whole minutes to microwave… four minutes. He needed to distract himself and stop thinking about Amy for four whole minutes…
Oh, right; he'd gone to her for a hairdryer. Sonic quickly found an outlet, the extension cable connected to her TV had an empty socket, and set about drying himself. The wheeze of the device was added to the crackle of thunder and roar of the microwave. Naturally, his quills were still the wettest part of his body but his spines and tail still felt rather waterlogged too. It would take time for him to dry and, with time, his thoughts would surely return to her. He wanted to be cool by the time she came back, that was his top priority. If he could find something to focus on, something to invest himself in, he might stand a chance.
Searching desperately for another distraction, Sonic found himself taking a closer look at the various movies she'd laid out. She'd asked him to choose and, even if he did plan to let her have the final say, it was worth knowing what he was getting into. None of the names were familiar, but then he didn't often have the patience to sit through most films; they had to hold his interest constantly, any lull and he risked dozing off. Running his hand through his quills, parting them to dry nearer their base, he noticed an outlier in the pile. Among the boxes, placed just slightly askew, was a blue book; small, like a storybook, and a size thicker than the disk boxes.
There was no blurb on the back, no way to determine what kind of book it was without flipping it to see the cover. Freeing his hand from his quills he reached out and picked up the book, wiping his hand on a drier section of his fur beforehand, but turning it over didn't cure his curiosity. The cover of the book was entirely bare, marked neither by words nor pictures; there wasn't even a title on the spine. Now this was a distraction, he was interested already! He flicked the book open, rather than starting at the beginning opting to let the chose where he would start reading.
This immediately proved to be a mistake.
His eyes were drawn to the upper left corner, rather than an opening line they fell upon a date; June 12th, as he looked to the rest of the page Sonic realised what he was holding. It was handwritten, this book was handwritten; it wasn't even really a book. This was a diary and by its position in this house, not to mention its lightly cursive font and the hearts that dotted every i, he knew it to be Amy's. This must have been what she was looking for, for a moment he was tempted to return it… but then he realised, if she caught him with it, the pink hedgehog might destroy him. She'd assume he'd taken it, that he'd read it too, wouldn't she?
A cacophonous rumble jump-started his panic, on a reflex he threw the book across the room. Before it could even land the world was cast in darkness, the breath of the hairdryer died and the hum of the microwave came to an abrupt halt. In what couldn't have been more than four seconds everything that could have gone wrong had, he didn't think such awful luck was even possible.
A cry sounded from Amy's room, more a groan of annoyance than a panicked scream; he heard stomp into the hallway. "Sonic! I think the power's out!"
"I-I've noticed!" He managed to call back. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine just… feeling my way to the utility room, I know I've got a torch or two in there. I'll be through in a second!" She answered. That meant he had time, Sonic blindly rushed forward… and immediately banged his knee on the coffee table. "It sounds like the storm is getting even worse!"
Sonic grabbed his knee, biting back a yelp. "Y-Yeah! Sounds like it's getting pretty wild out there!"
Turning around, he managed to bumble his way to the curtains; pulling them open and allowing the streetlight to filter inside. It wasn't much help, Amy's flat was far above the streetlights, but it was the best he could manage. Squinting as his eyes adjusted, he managed to round the table and fumble his way toward the far wall. Once there, he knew the book had to be nearby; he dropped to all fours and spread his fingers wide, running them along the carpet. With the thunder ringing in his ears, he wasn't sure if the book had hit the wall but he knew he'd thrown it hard enough that it should have. Just as his eyes started to adjust, a flash of lightning illuminated the room; but he was ill-prepared to capitalise on the vision it granted. All it told him for certain was that the diary wasn't in front of him. Turning around, head toward the hallway now, he continued to search.
Lightning struck again, before the rumble could even arrive Sonic sighted the book just beyond this reach. He lunged forward, grasping it as the clap came, but in the wake of that rumbling another light arrived and managed to fully blind him. For as quick as he'd been, he hadn't been fast enough. Amy had found a torch and he'd fallen in the immediate path of its light. She could surely see him and that meant she could undoubtedly see the blue book in his hand. The blue book that had fallen in an open position and been picked up open, albeit its text was facing the ground.
The rain's continuous spit still rapped against the windowpanes, no thunder broke the silence this time. He squinted to see through the torchlight in an attempt to read her face, but he was too blind to properly meet her eyes. She wouldn't be having the same problem.
"I…" He started, still flubbing for what to say. "Swear this isn't as bad as it looks and that I didn't read anything?" It was blunt, honest, but he feared it wasn't enough. Before he could finish that statement, he started another. "And I would have just brought it to you but I only just found it when the power went out, it was on the table with the movies, and I panicked so I threw it and-
"Sonic." She halted him, approaching down the hallway. "Are you alright?"
The blue blur blinked in confusion, was he alright? Was she only asking because he was on the ground? Did she think he'd fallen? In an attempt to calm her he rose to his feet, but as he did Sonic recognised what had worried her. He felt a stinging sensation, no further than half an inch beneath his knee there was a throbbing patch. The light was angled down; he blinked to clear his vision and discovered he'd gone into the table quite a bit harder than he'd thought. The gash wasn't huge by any stretch of the imagination, but blood was running down his leg. Atop that he'd knocked many of the movies from the table, panic had clearly overridden all of his other functions.
"I thought that was more thunder, I didn't realise you'd gone over the table." Amy fretted. "Give me a moment."
Sonic just stood there, awestruck. She hadn't taken her diary from him, it was like she hadn't even seen it; she'd clearly been flustered looking for the book… hadn't she? This was what she'd been looking for, wasn't it? The blue blur knew Amy's wrath when she was angry, her heart was always clearly bared to him, for her to act like this dumbfounded him.
He could only watch, helpless and useless, as she went to one of the cabinets and pulled out a roll of bandages, gauze, antiseptic and a sponge pad before quickly approaching him. Lightning cracked and thunder crashed behind him but, stupefied, he didn't even flinch. He finally reacted upon her full arrival, standing directly in front of him, opening his mouth but not finding the right words to say.
She tilted her head, confusion had spread over her brow; but her tone was chipper as ever. "Take a seat so I can bandage you up."
Despite being able to see he stumbled like he was blind, slowly making his way around the table to sit atop the duvet; his remaining dampness fully slipping his mind. She quickly knelt down in front of him, passing him up the torch to free her hands and let her work. The injury was tiny, hardly even worth the effort she was putting in, but Amy was treating it incredibly seriously.
Finally having, almost, come to his senses, Sonic managed a few words; "So… this is your diary, isn't it? I didn't read it but I opened it and saw the dates and your writing so I assumed…"
"Well yeah." She quickly responded. She was very much focused on her task, but she managed to loose a quick quip. "Who else is it going to belong to?"
"You're not gonna freak out? You're just gonna believe me? I figured reading a girl's diary was just about the worst thing you could do, I thought it'd take a little more than that to convince you I hadn't read it." He grimaced, in hindsight, more than a little too quickly. He was forced to keep staring at her so as to provide the light.
"There's nothing in there you don't already know about." Her mischievous smile was bared plainly to him, she looked from her work up to him. "Of course, a girl has her secrets to keep and if you did read it that's very rude of you. Clearly content with her mocking, she tied off the bandage. "But I wouldn't love you unless I trusted you my darling Sonic, isn't that obvious?"
"Well yeah, but…" He started, not sure where he planned to stop.
"Awww, you don't want me to think you'd do that; you're worried about what I think of you. Do I need to make it even clearer that I love you?" He knew she was only half kidding.
"Th-That's not it." Was that it? That might have been it. He had to think of a comeback or some kind of quip. "I just figured, with you losing it and all, you're lucky I showed up today and not someone else. You need to take better care of this stuff."
Well, that was lame but, regardless; Amy responded with a chide of her own. "I just feel so much safer around you my dear, you put me at such ease. I can't contain my deepest secrets around you." Her job done, the pink hedgehog jumped up to sit beside him and finally took back her diary. "I wanted to write my entry before we had our movie night… but I suppose that won't be happening at all now. Who knows when the power will come back on…"
There was some genuine sadness in her voice, his hand found itself in his almost-dry quills. What was he supposed to say, what could he say? "Well, even if we can't watch a movie we shouldn't waste the evening. At least half of that popcorn's gotta have popped, how's that for a start?"
Emerald eyes connected through the dark, "A start?"
"I said I'd stay as long as the storm was around, didn't I? I've gotta keep us entertained somehow." Taking the torch, though his eyes had almost fully adjusted, Sonic made his way to the kitchen; pulling open the microwave door and retrieving the salty snack. A quick shaped confirmed that many of its occupants were still in their seed form, but bursting it open and sniffing he was sure there was some good grub in there.
Returning to her side, he pulled back the duvet. "Ladies first." Perhaps it was a little flirty, but it was the closest he'd managed to a successful quip in hours.
"Bundled up on the couch with the hero of my dreams." Amy chuckled. "Huddled together in a storm, so romantic. Just try to keep your damper spots away from me?"
The pink hedgehog slipped beneath the covers before, embarrassed as he was, Sonic followed suit. He planted the torch between the couch cushions, allowing for its use as a makeshift lamp, before holding the bag out to her. As she claimed a handful he noticed the diary was open in her lap, a pencil lain down its centre.
Her handful collected her turned the bag back to himself. Picking through the kernels, he managed to collect a good handful. "So, what kinda stuff do you write in there?"
"Oh, just typical stuff. What I did over the day, any interesting thoughts I had and future plans." Amy recounted. "There's a lot about you in here, as I'm sure you can imagine."
"Well, seeing as I already know its contents…" He popped a piece in his mouth, making sure to carefully watch Amy's disposition. "Are there any highlights you wanna share?"
She hummed for a moment, beginning to flick back through the pages. "I suppose I could read you a page if you're really that curious. It'll help to kill a little time." She proposed. "But nothing on it leaves this room, alright?"
"Ow, that hurts; you just said you trusted me, Ames. Is our love a lie?" He mocked being wounded, clasping his hands over his heart.
"Trust is one thing Sonic, but we both know that if I give you an inch you'll run a mile. That's why I hug you so close." She half sang, seeming to finally settle on an entry. "Do you promise?"
"Of course I do Ames, I know what'd happen to me if I didn't." Her stare told him that was too casual, he reaffirmed his words. "I promise."
It was with that Amy began to share her written history, holding the book so he could see. Back and forth they'd take over this impromptu narration of Amy's past life, open laughing and blushing soon a commonality.
What started as just one page soon became just a few and from there somehow slipped to take up a good hour's worth of entries; all with minimal prodding from Sonic. The two hedgehogs would gradually come to shuffle closer, the book eventually shifted from Amy's lap to reside in the duvet between them. Every so often hands would brush as they reached into the nigh-empty popcorn packet. She'd started with a rather simple entry, a rather basic day consisting of little more than shopping with Cream, but Amy's descriptors could liven any story; hyperbole seemed to be her speciality. What should have been a simple chocolate cake stain on her dress was described as 'a dark betrayal by one she'd though so lovely and sweet' and a scary old man who'd offered her his umbrella was dubbed 'a frighteningly wizened gentleman with a heart ten times what his chest could possibly carry.'
This being the diary of Amy Rose, the self-proclaimed lover of Sonic, the blue blur himself was mentioned quite a lot. Descriptions ranged from calling him 'her hero' and 'the love of her life' to 'the apple of her eye, the one who drives her every thought and causes her heart to soar.' One entry, in particular, she'd caught herself midway through reading, quickly trying to insist the day was plain and boring when he recognised it for what it was; mainly because he was there. Teasing her, he'd managed to reach his initial description and read it; "It was then that my darling arrived. His cocky, suave, attitude was so freely exposed; windswept quills and the slight sweat on his brow cementing his place in my heart more and more with each passing second. With a single look, he'd blindingly brightened what'd already been a sunny Summer's day!"
It was strange to think, for as plainly as her heart was bared to him at all hours of the day; Amy Rose' infatuation had a depth even he hadn't comprehended.
It was after countless pages, giggles and a seemingly endless amount of ribbing that the power finally flickered back on.
"Th-That clearly signals enough for now." Amy insisted, quickly flipping forward to today's blank page. "It's better to leave you wanting more rather than show my full hand."
Even blinded by the returned light, Sonic could see the red tint to her cheeks. Her little diary had rather reversed their positions; though it was embarrassing to hear about himself she clearly had the stronger blush. Even if she hadn't intended to embarrass him so much, he was finally going to get his own back!
"Come on Ames, I wanna see what else you've written about me." He nudged just a little closer, draping a soggy arm around her shoulder and finally allowing himself a proper smirk. Having endured so much embarrassment, it was nice to see her just a little flustered. "It's more interesting than any of these movies would be, I'm sure of that. Let's just keep goin'."
"You'll get to a read them in the future, you're lucky I showed you any in the first place." She insisted, twisting to face away from him. "There's a handful of secrets that even you can't see yet." Sonic tossed another handful of popcorn in his mouth, prepared to sit back and enjoy the rare sight of a truly flustered Amy. It was, however, foolish of him to assume she wouldn't push back. "After all, I keep our wedding plans in here."
Sonic almost choked to death then and there, saved only by a well-placed whack on the back by Amy; almost throwing him from the couch. Be it from the rain or his own embarrassment, she was always there to save him when he needed her most.

I love your jealous Sonic and I think the most canon one is boom, so may I ask for Boom!Sonamy with jealous Sonic? If you need a more specific idea maybe Amy gets a pet like a puppy that takes up all her attention so Sonic feels left out and in competition and feels the dog doesn't like him and doesn't want to share Amy.
Tumblr media
You can find me talking about this prompt at 21:16 on the Pajama Blogs!
Hehe, jealous Sonic, it would be more canon in Boom, you’re right. I agree and share your opinions lolol but I think this would be cute and I hope I do it justice!
PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN! Sorry, you missed the grand opening and will have to wait till next time :( You can still ask questions though! But they need to be in accordance to the blog rules~<3
Prompt:
Comedy Chimp was in a hysteria of panic, the news had just announced the most popular celebrity pet: Tinkle Dipples, to be housed in Hedgehog Village while preparing to shoot a cameo in the famous Tommy Thunder movies.
Eggman and Amy compete in a tournament/competition to win the right to take care of Tinkle Dipples for the shooting, since his manager is going fangirl over Tommy Thunder, she doesn’t want to care for him and instead, has Amy--the winner of the tournament--sign some legal documents and take off to pursue her hero.
Sympathizing a bit with the manager but more excited about the cute, idol puppy, Amy takes her job very seriously as Eggman whines and complains about his loss and plans to do something about it..!
“I knew I should have played Dynamite Dalmatian but she had Rover Clover on the field, you can’t EXPLODE ROLL WITH MAXIUM LUCK ON YOUR OPPONENTS TEAM!” he wept and tossed his arms about as they wacked against his bed.
Orbot and Cubot just looked to each other, unsure how to comfort him. “Sir, perhaps scheming against Sonic and his friends while one of their prominent members is distracted could prove useful and make you feel better?” Orbot stated, as the two held up a pen and some graph paper, “Scheming always puts you in a better mood for evil...” He encouraged again.
Collecting himself and rubbing his massive hands under his glasses, he sniffled as he took the paper and started sketching. “Ohh...hoo... hoo...oh-ho? Oh ho! Oh-ho-ho-ho-wha-hahaha!!!” with soft cries that suddenly turned manic with evil, he scribbled more furiously and immediately cranked his back and threw his arms to an angle in his signature laughter.
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were playing beachball when Sticks poked her head out of the local garage dump, “Heeeey, wait a minute!” she threw a banana peel off her head a second, “Volleyball and Beachball are the same things! Why are they called differently!? Do they respond to the same name!?”
“Guess you could call it Beach Volleyball.” Tails shrugged, “Though, technically, beachball is the thing you use to play volleyball...” As he continued, Knuckles spiked and knocked him down while he was contemplating it.
“Haha! Snooze you loose!” Knuckles mocked, throwing his arms down to point at Tails.
“Grr... Knuckles! We’re on the same team!” He spat out sand and dusted himself off.
“Oh.” Knuckles then gestured to himself, “Well, then I was awake and quaked!”
Tails shook his head, “Sonic, do you have to play on your own team?”
“What? I’m fast enough for two!” Showing off his amazing speed, Sonic zipped around the court to where it looked like Sonic was literally playing by himself, “I could even play all teams!” He snatched the ball from the ground and pushed--or lightly placed--Knuckles and Tails out of the field to then play the game by himself.
“Still seems a bit unfair, though.” Tails pouted, folding his arms.
“No, no. Shh!!! I wanna see which team wins!” Knuckles became excited, “Woo! Go, Left field Sonic! Ah! No! Watch out, Right field Sonic! Nooo..!!! Oh, phew... Wait-Sonic!” Knuckles went through typical spectators reactions, gripping his head, tugging on his hair, before cheering yet again, “Yeeeahhh! Good forward arm there, Left field Sonic! Rooted for your along! ... Hey, which one’s Sonic again?” he looked to Tails.
“At least you got the fields right.” Tails side-commented before stepping back up to Sonic. “Is this because Amy wouldn’t come down to the beach today?”
“Yeah, we can’t help it if I’m too good for the two of ya.” He twirled the ball on his finger, “Besides, Amy can’t--and won’t--part with that Tinkle... Dinkle... Winkle... whatever his name is!” Sonic fanned a hand out, masking his own opinions on it. “Amy’s obsessed with that thing...”
“Huh, I always thought Amy was obsessed with y-” Tails seemed to panic and jumped up to cover Knuckles’s mouth.
“Knuckles-!” he cried out, then lowered his voice to whisper down to him, clinging to his head and shoulder. “We’re supposed to pretend we don’t know anything about that...”
“Anything about what now?” Sonic was still doing tricks with the volleyball.
“N-nothing!” Tails waved his hands out and flew a moment in the air. “An-anyway, I don’t think I’m really in the mood to keep playing. I’ve got uh... some... some engineering stuff to work on! Bye, Sonic!” He waved and took off.
“Engine-erring!?” Sticks spat out a flat tire that had been thrown away that she was gnawing on to find the trapped gerbil that she believed made the car’s wheels turn and free it from it’s imprisonment at last. “Oh no, you don’t!” she jumped out and rushed after him, barking as he flew up and in a bit of surprised fright, tried to dodge her but she jumped and grabbed his foot. “You aren’t making nothing to torture these gerbils anymore!”
“W-wha-what are you talking about!? Le-let goooo!!!” The two flew off and seemed to crash somewhere.
“I-uh... better check on that.” Knuckles saw Sonic offering to share the ball with him but decided to check on his friends first. “Sticks! Wait! I’m sure that nice village of Gogobas are still safely in their pity parties!”
Sonic sighed, “Oooh...” And let the ball go to kick it, letting it roll as a Eggman spybot was hit out of a bush and flew up.
“Guess I’ll check on Amy then...” Sonic took off towards her house.
“Hehehe-huhuhu...” Eggman rubbed his hands together, sitting happily in front of his screen in his evil lair. “There we go... I’ll snatch Mr. Tinkle Dipples the second Amy’s distracted by Sonic!” He roared confidently in laughter. “My machine is almost complete! Orbot! Cubot!”
“Yes, Doctor?!” Cubot nervously saluted as Eggman turned around to face the two in his spinning chair.
“Make sure my robot pooch is fully operational!”
“Yes, doctor!” The two took off...
Sonic raced to the door, but before knocking, looked himself over in the reflection of a window and adjusted his quills, then tightened his bandana. He choked, loosening the bandana again and grumbling to himself something but the only audible line one could hear was--”Never learned to tie a tie...” before rushing back to door and knocking this time.
“Busy!” Amy cried from within.
His entire confident air deflated, and he drooped forward with his arms hanging down, “Oooh... Uh, it’s me! Sonic! ... Sonic The Hedgehog!” He puffed himself up just a little bit more, calling and leaning more towards the door. “Hero extraordinary! ... So much better than a puppy...” He folded his arms and mumbled the last bit to himself.
“Oh-oh... C-coming!” Amy seemed to scramble but Sonic could hear multiple layers of locks, chairs, wooden-door stoppers and more start being cleared away like a construction site. She peeked open the door, “Come in!” she chimed, “Quickly, quickly, quickly..!” She then rushed him in and put one single lock back on the door. “Eh, I’ll take of that later.”
“Woah, what’s with the, uh... high-end security arrangement, Ames?” Sonic thumbed-back to the door but Amy rushed over to a stool with a soft pillow on it, making the little puppy look like royalty as his tongue hung out and he drooled.
His eyes grew intensely large like in anime and shined, trying to such Sonic into his cuteness as Sonic felt the pull but leaned away.
It shone with heavenly aura as it’s eyes kept growing bigger but Sonic about-faced and turned to Amy, “Uhh... How’s the pooch-sitting coming along-” he was surprised to see she was completely captivated by the puppy and already squatting by the stool, gawking and taking pictures as her own eyes looked bigger than normal.
“Aww, cute puppy! Sweet boy! Look over hereee~” she cooed and coddled as it continued to pant, it’s eyes normal to Sonic now. “Who’s the cutest, wutest, sweetest, squishiest cheek boy ever?~” she then scrunched up his cheeks and played with them as they jiggled and wobbled to her touch, spraying drool everywhere...
“Oh.” He realized he was being ignored. “Alright, no worries, just the most dashing man of the hour in your house... No need to over-celebrate.” He frowned and pushed his arms straight down again. “Dumb dog.” he muttered under his breath.
“WHAT DID YOU SAY!?” Amy’s big, sparkling eyes went right into his face, as though a brainwashed-slave to this puppy as he shook his head in intimidation at her creepy smile.
“N-no-nothing! Just how cute the puppy iswh! Is-!” he almost mimicked Amy’s baby-talk on accident. “Ehem, Amy, I normally would never do this under typical and honorable circumstances but in this case-” He shoved her hands to his cheeks, “I think you see my point.” he beamed.
“...Uh, I guess?” Amy took her hands off his cheeks, “You hungry or something?”
He deflated yet again, his eyes just saucers of white. “N... No.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“...Yes.” He shrugged down, and as she went to the kitchen, he glared and clenched his jaw at the puppy. He zipped over to it, “Listen you, I don’t know what fame has done to your head or anything, but I’m not here to stand for your pompous treatment of my friend!”
The dog continued to drool, one eye blinking.
“But I’ll have you know that I’m the big shot in these parts! And Amy just happens to be madly in love with me!” He pointed to himself and then picked up the constantly panting dog. “Not you. So you can wag your little tail and stick out your tongue somewhere else!” He dashed to one of Amy’s bird cages and shoved the dog in, causing a minor yelp from it but it wasn’t hurt, just surprised as Sonic tarped it and headed back to Amy.
Sitting at the counter, he then crossed his legs, “So-ho-ho~ Amy~ Have I told you about the one time I-”
“Yep.” Amy continued to work on the food.
“I-I didn’t even say it.” Sonic squinted his eyes in suspicion at her.
“Uh-huh.”
“...Are you even listening to me?”
“All done!” she poured something into a bowl.
“Awesome! You’re cooking, might I say, is way better than Meh Burger when it comes to the ol’Sonic engine!” he rubbed his stomach and licked his chops before Amy swiped the bowl away from him as he went to bite down. “H-huh..? What just happened...” he spoke with his mouth open, mid-bite again, before he saw the puppy had mysteriously wound-up on the pillow stool again, Amy bringing the deluxe dog food over to him.
“Here you go, Mr. Tinkle Dinkles~ Yes, who’s hungry? Who’s the biggest star in Hedgehog Village and the world? And the whole wide wittle world? You are~ You are, you good boy~” she petted him as he leaned his head back, thumped his leg at her praise and loving scratches, and then flopped over her lap to gorge himself in her home-prepared dog food.
Sonic leaned against the couch, narrowing his eyes at the sight as he muttered more curses for the dog under his breath...
He had a thought bubble that then showed a chibi-version of Amy and the pooch, her scratching his belly and loving on him but the dog faded and a Chibi-Sonic replaced it. Snickering and cackling as Chibi-Amy continued her smothering but the Dog was now whining with it’s tail between it’s legs, trapped in a Meh Burger costume with a sign that read: ‘Will pee for attention’.
Sonic continued to snicker to himself before the doorbell rang again.
“Oh?” Amy lightly placed the dog back on his stool and used a finely made napkin with ‘Fuzzy Puppy Buddies’ logo on it to clean up his mouth before heading to the door. “Who could that be?”
While Amy was distracted, Sonic sped over to the dog, grabbed it, pulled back the window and tossed the dog with a under-handed swing out the window. It hung in the air a moment before going, “Oof?” like a little woof and fell straight down...
Into Eggman’s hands...
“Hehehe, hohoho..!” Eggman placed a mechanical dog down, doing the exact animations as the dumb little creature in the first place. “Now you’re coming with daddy sweetie~ Who’s a big, bright, beautiful star? You are~ You are Mr. Tinkle Dipples~ Uncle Eggy has a nice place set up just for you~” he wiggled his finger to the puppy and continued to adore it secretly while sneaking away.
“I’m gonna miss Metal Pooch.” Cubot wiped an imaginary tear from his eye. “Such beautiful destruction he caused...”
“Yeah... The steel heart mends, Cubot. Give it time to rust.” Orbot patted Cubot and helped turn him away from the sight.
When Amy closed the door again, she turned around with a shriek, panicking and tearing her house up looking for the dog. Sonic tried everything to get her to turn her attention to him, even momentarily throwing away his pride and setting up a floor-lounge with candle-lit setting with a rose in and across his mouth,... but she was too busy searching to see.
He spat out the rose and it hit her on the back of her head, “Ah! Sonic! We don’t have time for-...” Her eyes shrunk at the scene, and it might have been enough as their eyes met and romantic music started playing as he lifted up his foot and clicked a radio with his heel.
“Who’s a good boy..?” he flirted, but suddenly...
“BARK. BARK. I AM BARKING LIKE A CUTE, WITTLE BOY. BARK. BARK.”
“Oh my stars!” Amy raced to the window, “Mr. Tinkle Dipples!? What are you doing out here?” she had big, anime eyes again... as though love was blinding her from seeing the fakeness of the dog.
She cradled it in her arms after reaching down the window to get it.
“BARK. BARK. I AM THE GOODEST OF BOYS.” It’s robot voice was a dead giveaway, but Sonic was amazed to see that Amy kept caring for it, spoon-feeding it as it took the food but lifted its tail to dispel it out the other end.
“Ohh~ Did Tinkle Dipples make a wittle present-mess-le?” Amy put her hands to her hips as Sonic couldn’t take it anymore.
“HE’S A ROBOT!” He spindashed the Eggman robot as it powered down.
“Ohh... Goodest of b-b-boys...” and shut down.
“NNNOOOO!!!” Amy freaked out, crying and holding him in her lowered arms.
“Amy! Snap out of it! It’s a decoy!” Sonic put his hands on her shoulders and shook her, and her eyes returned to normal. “H-huh? Sonic? When did you get here?”
He lowered his eyes in agitation, but then the news came on.
“This just came in, T.W Barker is suing Amy Rose for a violation of her contract, that’s right, MR. TINKLE DIPPLES IS MISSING! AHH!! THAT POOR, INNOCENT BOY! AHH! AHH, THE AGONY! Amy’s reputation is ruined by the way and the world will never forgive her awful crime of LOSING THE MOST ADORABLE PUPPY IN THE WOR-RL-RLD!!!” The eagle was losing himself in his grief, as Amy’s eyes twitched and she brought out her hammer, looking ready to murder Sonic.
“Wait!” He dodged, “Amy, listen to me! YIKES!” he had to dodge Amy all the way to Eggman’s, where they defeated him to get the puppy back, who was still as still and in a loop-animation as ever, but wagged its tail and licked Sonic’s face when successfully brought to the manager.
Amy’s reputation was spared and Cubot and Orbot got Tails to fix Metal Pooch, leaving him to a happy life with Mombot.
She sat and stroked him, “THERE. THERE. WHO’S THE GOODEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD BESIDES MY TWO OTHER EVIL BOY SONS?”
Metal Pooch continued the animation cycle, “I AM. I AM GOODEST BOY OF YOUR TWO EVIL SONS. BARK. BARK.”
Eggman frowned, watching from a window, “Ohh... Wait, how’d he end up there!?”
Cubot still visits to give him screws as a treat.
Amy looked to her friends, “Huh, I guess the moral here is to not let celebrities take over your lives and make you forget about your real friends...” She opened her arms up to everyone but instead, T.W Barker popped up, shocking everyone.
“And always keep your contractual obligations~” he winked to the camera with a sly grin.
“Evenwhenabluehedgehog,that’sbeentheloveofyourlifeforwhoknowshowlong,isflirtingwithyoujustbecausejealousyisapartofacopingmechanismoftennotprescribedwithourcompany’sproductremembertobrushyourteethandsayyourprayerssuckersthisistotallylegitmarketingschemes.”
he muttered under his breath as though the legalities at the end of a radio or t.v commercials.
END.

Sonic OVA: Sonamy AU
Birthday week! So exciting! I’m posting as many prompts as I can while it’s my birthday week! :D EEEEeeeee!!!! It’s gonna be so much fun! It’s my treat for all my wonderful readers out there who have supported me so much! Here’s a little birthday gift to you from me!
Yes, prompts and commissions are open ;)b (However, if you’ve already submitted 3 prompts, please let others have a go too and hold off, okay?)
Tumblr media
Prompt:
It wasn’t long after Sonic went off on his own to find Metal Sonic that a familiar pink hedgehog showed up again in his life. Rosy the Rascal, as he heard others call her, stepped out in his way boldly but with a sweetheart expression on her face as he skidded to a halt.
Normally, he wouldn’t bother, and just race around her. However, this time there was some serious danger afoot. “Look, it’s not wise to follow me this time, Rosy.”
As he folded his arms, keeping a neutral expression on his face, she opened her eyes and raised her intertwined hands up to her pinkening face, clearly love-struck by catching his attention enough to have him wait for her to move.
“Sonic, my love, I’ve heard the awful news of what Eggman has done to you.” She began, but Sonic just raised an eyebrow and sweated a little, not sure what she was getting at.
“He does a lot on his spare time...” he grumbled, not really understanding himself why he was pausing to explain things to her.
He didn’t really mind being rude when he needed to be... anyway... so why give her a second?
“I’ve heard that he’s made a robot in your handsome image!” Her eyes opened to reveal a starlit darling that craved her hero’s safety and happiness above all things. “So I’ve come to trash that robot and put your mind at ease. He’s clearly using it to give you a bad name, and I won’t allow it!” she swayed her body back and forth a moment and lowered her bundled together hands down, ceasing to blush as his eyes remained annoyingly on her.
He lowered his eyelids, clearly frustrated and to prove it, he started to tap his foot and put his hands on his hips. “Are you done yet with the cutesy act, already? Look, flattery gets you no where in life and besides that, you’re not as cute as you’re pretending to be. Either step aside and let me handle my own affairs or get somewhere safe. I don’t have time to play around with you.” He swished his arm out, and she opened her eyes in a flinch at his words.
“Y-you... You aren’t bothered by what Eggman’s making you look like?” She seemed shocked to hear that, and quivered as he responded, parting her hands in horror.
“I couldn’t care less what Eggman makes me out to be, everyone can tell that it’s a silly impostor and not me.” He suddenly widened his eyes a moment in realization when Amy cupped her face and looked embarrassingly away from him. “Or... rather... is it just you that didn’t see the difference?”
He knew he was right, and his eyes drooped again at the nonsense of that innocent mistake.
“Oh, how embarrassing!” she covered her face as awkward tears sprayed from the side of her face in an animated way, “Not even recognizing my betrothed! I’m so ashamed! I don’t deserve to be your girlfri-ien-iend!!!” she whined in hopelessness.
Feeling something like--perhaps wanting to comfort her--he nervously held out a hand out to her, “H-hey, no need to cry over it... If it’s a honest mistake, then you probably just didn’t see it clearly enough...”
He twitched back when she peeked through her hands, looking perfectly fine. “You say... everyone could tell?”
He sighed, looking annoyed again that he fell for her girlish act. “Everyone.” he countered, growing upset he so easily was led into that farce.
She covered her face again, “Bo-ho-ho!” she faked the distressful tears, hoping he’d stay longer to soothe her ‘troubled heart’ but he just began to back up and stretch.
“Nice touch on improving the cutesy act, Rosy. But I really don’t have time to cheer up little girls who clearly can find better things to do with their day. See ya!” he raised himself a few times on his toes for the last remaining stretches and then zoomed at light-speeds to curve around her and take off.
“Ah! That meanie! Doesn’t he know he’s leaving me in the middle of nowhere! His fiance for Pete’s sake!” she straightened herself out and threw her arms down by her sides, disappointed her ploy for his tender mercies didn’t work. She sighed, watching his dust cloud take to the wind, “Honestly, sometimes I wonder how I’ll ever keep up...”
Then, as though blurring into existence, Metal Sonic’s red eyes and the rest of his menacing form sketched in behind her like lines on a television screen glitch--due to how fast he was moving, that was the image created as he looked off at Sonic, then only turned his eyes to the side to look to her.
“Huh?” Rosy turned around, “Ahhh!!! Sonic, help me!” she crunched her body to the right to avoid his frame and fell to the ground, crawling backwards, “S-stay away, you big fat fake! Ha! Ha! HA!” She kept throwing tiny hammer toys at him, but they just ‘piko’d off his metallic hide as he walked after her.
“Whhaaa!!! You don’t give up, do you!? Why can’t Sonic be this interested in me!” she shrieked, forming light fists with her hands and putting them up by her face as she cried out again, “SOOONNICCC!!!”
In her desperate cries, flowers were placed before her.
“H-huh?” She turned back shocked, “What’s this? Is this for me?” She looked up amazed as Metal Sonic continued to remain cold and silent, presenting the gift.
“Ohh... d-do you want me to take them?” She bent her eyes a bit, not sure what this was...
Metal Sonic lowered his head, and little robotic noises seemed to answer her in return.
“W-well, that’s very kind of you, but I’m in love with Sonic. The real Sonic, okay?” She held up a hand, then pushed his flowers back towards him. “And I’ve already made him upset by mistaking him for those rumors about what you’ve done! So the best way to make up for it is to kindly reject you and be on my way, sound fair?” She got up and dusted herself off, sighing and wiping some sweat from her forehead. “Phew, glad that’s over with. Now that Sonic knows my eyes are only for his organic shape and heroic smile, he won’t think twice about marrying me!” She daydreamed and swooned as she looked up to the sky and held her hands to the side of her face, longingly.
Metal Sonic’s hand twitched, and he ripped the flowers into blades of grass. His red eyes glowed brighter than before in clear rage before taking a powerful stance, as though ready to rush her.
“Ah! H-hey, what’s with the sudden change of atmosphere, huh?” Rosy zipped back in an blur, not wanting to be so close to him as he seemed to power up. “I-I’ve rejected boys before but this seems a little extreme, don’t you think? S-S...Sonnnicccc!!!” she cried out and ran, but dirt whipped up around Metal Sonic as his engine rotated to rapid speeds and pursued her.
Picking her up, he took off into the air as she cried out, “NOT AGGGAAIINN!!!”
Hearing her getting closer in the distance, Sonic just let out an exasperated sigh and looked over his shoulder, “What does she want now? Huh?” Seeing Metal Sonic holding her above, his expression quickly changed to anger. “What’s that?! Come and get her? You punk,... alright. Have it your way. But I still don’t get why you have to get little Rosy involved in all this.” He took off towards some protruding metal spikes that were also buried under thick dirt and sand, racing up it to jump and take on Metal Sonic.
Metal Sonic dropped Rosy and battled Sonic, having her cry out as she fell through the air. “Noooo..!!!”
“Rosy!” Sonic broke out of the fight with Metal Sonic to reach for her, but he went behind Sonic, his spikes not bothering his metal body. Sonic was held in a choke hold while still struggling to jump down and free her.
“She may be small, but her hammer packs a punch, I remember that much!” A twirling duo of fox tails burst and jumped over the different protruding spikes, dashing over with a homing-attack to knock Sonic out of Metal Sonic’s grasp and then fly off to grab Amy, “Got’cha! Miss Amy Rose, right?”
“Oh, you remembered.” Rosy looked up to him, amazed by his speedy entrance.
“Remember? I still have a bump on my head!” Tails called her out as she twitched her ear from him yelling directly into it. “Why is Metal Sonic so interested in using you against Sonic, though? I don’t get it.”
Rosy batted her eyes, “If you convince Sonic to protect me, then maybe you both won’t have to worry about it.”
“Oh, that’s a good point.”
“It’s not!” Sonic countered, kicking a final striking blow to Metal Sonic’s noggin’ and sending him down into the sand. “Tails! Help me out!” he held out his hand behind him, still glaring down at Metal Sonic as Tails flew to his side, having Rosy switch to his other hand, “Errr... Are all hedgehogs this hard to carry?” he held his nose up, struggling to keep both hands on them.
“Ah! How rude! Sonic, teach your sidekick some manners!” Amy huffed.
“Manners?! Lady, I’m his best friend!” Tails protested, but helped the two down to safety.
“Best friend, huh? Well, I guess every groom still needs a best man. Okay, you can come along too.” She put her hands on her hips as though judging Tails, as he bent his ears back, not liking her forwardness in how blunt she was.
“You’re still on about that?” Sonic spat out, “And give it a rest, Tails, she’s only formidable when her opponents play by the rules, isn’t that right, Metal me?” After defending Tails a moment, he turned back to Metal Sonic, getting up from the impact his face made with the ground.
“I hope I got a new dent in that face.” he smirked, folding his arms. “What’s with you picking on little girls anyway? Didn’t Eggman every teach you not to bully those weaker than you?” he wagged his infamous finger out to him, and heard Metal Sonic’s engine blare in the distance. “Heh, guess not.”
“I’m not weak!” Rosy summoned another Piko Piko Hammer, but this one was slightly bigger than the last few she tossed. “See? Ha-ha-ha!” she swung it around, forcing Tails to duck and fling his two tails over his head protectively, but Sonic just ‘tsk’d as if not impressed.
“I’ll deal with you later, kid.”
“I’m not a kid!” Rosy stomped her foot down. “I’m gonna be your wife!”
Sonic rolled his eyes, “Anyway... back to reality, is that scrapped head of yours able to understand, Metal Me? Let’s settle this, hedgehog to machine, and leave them out of this!” He waited for a response after holding a hand out to Rosy and Tails.
He pulled Amy behind him, almost instantly as she was flung to his side and hid behind him, admiring his protectiveness of her.
“S-Sonic...” Her eyes shone before realizing what he had said before. “B-but-!”
He held her against him as he pointed back to Metal Sonic, “Quit sticking your nose into other people’s lives, Metal Me, what are you? Desperate or something?” she was amazed to be in his arms a moment before he lightly let her go and stumble over to Tails in her dreamy step. “Girls hate it when you hog them all to yourself, don’t ya know?” He kept taunting, getting Metal Sonic even more revved up now.
“B-but I can hit real hard...” Rosy muttered, her lower lip trembling as Tails got back up, lightly patting her head.
“There, there. Sonic’s just trying to distract Metal him from not targeting you again.” he explained, but quickly moved his hand behind his back, still not sure how to take the silly little fan-girl.
Though, he did admire Sonic, he felt she was a bit more of a extremist in her hero worship than his idolizing of Sonic.
Still, he felt he understood--somewhat--of how she felt towards him.
She sniffled in her budding tears, “You... You really think so?” She looked towards him and he nodded.
“Sure! He probably heard you pleading for help and couldn’t stop himself from jumping in. That’s Sonic for ya, always a helpful guy.” He praised him, as Rosy wiped her tears away.
“You’re much better than I thought you were, Tails! I’m glad Sonic has a buddy to help him out on his dangerous adventures! Let’s be friends!” She jumped into his arms, but he immediately dodged her, holding his hands out as the whites of his eyes were exposed in his fear.
“N-no-no, that’s okay! Just hearing you say that is enough!” he panicked, still afraid of the girl’s strength from the fighting tournament.
Sonic ditched the two, leaving Rosy to cry out, “H-hey! Where are you going!?”
“To fight.” He responded, keeping his eyes glued to Metal Sonic, waiting for him...
“Ah! W-without us!” She looked worried, but Tails also seemed to match her concerns, stepping forward with his arms to his sides.
“You’re gonna leave me behind again..? Oh, rats!” He snapped his fingers and looked disheartened.
“Do yourself a favor, Amy,”
She perked up at him using her real name.
“...Don’t get involved.” he stated very firmly, and went to take down Metal Sonic in another all-out duel again.
Her heart was broken by his words, but she stayed out of the battlefield since.
Later, Knuckles and Tails were watching the end play out, and the many awards Sonic was rejecting receiving that Sara and her father were trying to force him to wear and accept but failing miserably too.
Rosy didn’t like Sara’s fawning of him but listened in on Old Man Owl and the boys’ conversation...
“So you’re saying...” Tails began, looking a bit worried at his words.
“Precisely!” Old Man Owl hooted, “If what you said is true, I have a theory!”
“But saying that Metal Sonic actually liked that hedgehog girl because he was being influenced by Sonic’s data doesn’t add up.” Knuckles, incredulous as ever, leaned forward accusingly and shook his gloved hand out, turning his head to the side as he spoke a bit down to the mad owl.
“Ho? Isn’t it obvious?” the old owl could have sworn he was right. “She is a cute girl, after all.”
Rosy’s renewal and faith in Sonic beat back into her heart like a rocker’s drum. Hearts flew all around her as she thought to herself, ‘Aw, he must be too shy to confess such things upfront!’
“If that’s true, then Sonic has some odd tastes! And not just in looks alone!” Tails laughed.
Rosy blinked her eyes a moment, then turned to the boys, summoning her hammer to an exceptionally large height and width. “What did you say?”
The three flinched, having huddled up and not realizing she could hear them..!
But that’s when Sonic blazed by, grabbing Rosy and holding her bridal style without a word, just rushing her off with him.
“O-oh!” she blushed, her hammer disappearing from her clutches, and reverting to her coy manners. “Sonic... is everything alright?”
“I’m taking you home.” He stated, shaking his head then suddenly, “Ugh, anyone every tell you--you smell like flowers and machine oil. Peh!” he must have meant her run-in with Metal Sonic, but she swooned into his chest anyway.
“I knew you cared!” she chimed.
“About your smell? Keep dreaming, you rascal!”

Sonamy Prompt
Eh? Another one? It’s more likely than you think!
Prompts are on shutdown, please await the official grand reopening announcement ^^
Prompt:
“Well, the effects of the berries she’s eaten won’t kill her.” The little Butterfly girl stated as Tails and Sonic held Amy upright, her eyes spinning a bit as though about to faint.
“I told you...” Tails whined a little to Amy, but she didn’t seem to be all there at the moment, “I said to stay close and not wander off on your own!”
“It’s no use, Tails, she’s already eaten them.” Sonic, a little more sympathetic to the situation, seemed to just calm him down a moment. “Let’s just focus on the present.” He nodded, as though taking this a little more seriously when he looked back at the Butterfly girl.
“R-right... What are the side-effects?” Tails looked to the girl who nodded and began to move her four arms about.
“O-o-oh! Nothing serious! Since you aren’t used to our food, it may make you a bit... silly and highly attractive to things.”
“...” Tails and Sonic looked to each other a moment, confused by her wording.
“Like... magnetic?” Tails questioned.
“N-no... like... in love?” She shrugged, fluttering a bit in the air as silence suddenly descended on the conversation.
Then, Sonic slammed his back against a tree, spreading out, as though not wanting Amy to see him or be near him.
“That’s not good.” Tails sweatdropped, now being the only brave soul willing to help keep her balanced on her feet. He looked to Amy, “She’s already really fond of Sonic...”
“Oh dear.” the little Butterfly put one gloved hand over her mouth and flew over to look at Amy’s face. “Hmm... It’s definitely changing to be more redder. I’d say she ate quite a few... they do have a strong perfume to them, so I can see the allure if she was hungry.” The Butterfly woman flew up a little and seemed about ready to leave. “I’m sorry I can’t help any further, but the fever will last till she’s digested the food properly. Please take care of your friend till then.” she bowed, apologetically.
“O-oh, it’s okay! It’s not your fault...” Tails let go of Amy to help her sit on the ground a moment, her eyes already a bit ditsy as her vision blurred and swirled. He shook a hand to her, as though telling her to not worry about it, and she nodded at his kindness.
“The other hedgehog was looking for the blue hedgehog. I’ll let him know you’re here.” She flew off then, “Wait till she’s fallen into a slumber! That’s when you can watch her a bit better!” she called from the sky, turning around to wave and cupped a hand to the side of her mouth to project the message across.
Tails was still nervous but waved lightly to her back. “O...Okay.”
Tails looked annoyed towards Sonic, his eyes dropping a bit, “You gonna help me?”
Sonic pouted, “You heard the girl, if I approach Amy now, she may get hysterical.” he sweatdropped, clearly nervous about the situation.
Tails sighed, “Well, can’t be helped.” He picked Amy’s arm up to loop around his shoulders and tried to get her up. “Err...! Come on..! Let’s sit... you... down... somewhere... safe!” he tried to move her, but her entire being wasn’t helping him at all. Instead, her full weight slumped hard on the ground.
In Amy’s reality, the grass made her fingers numb. She could barely feel her body being lifted up or even moving. Her face was hot, and her vision was starting to come back, but her mind took a minute to realize what it was looking at. Then, all at once, it lost itself completely and she started giggling.
“Since when did I get ‘ere..?” She hiccuped, but then didn’t talk for several seconds even after Tails answered.
Later, Shadow appeared, glad to have finally found Sonic as Amy opened her eyes to see the shapes chatting with one another.
Her eyes then honed in on Shadow’s fluff, and her mouth opened into a durpy grin.
Like a slug, she flopped her asleep arm forward, not able to feel it very much, and dragged herself towards him.
Surprisingly, he didn’t really notice her until she got closer, and then angled his head towards her.
“What are you doing?” He asked, his arms folded before Amy wobbled to her feet and leaned on him.
Instinctively, he caught her.
Both Tails and Sonic looked a little shaken, worried about her but also about how Shadow would react to this.
“She’s a bit loopy!” Tails explained quickly. “She accidentally ate the berries here and-!”
“Your fluff... I want to squish my face in it.” Amy mumbled out, as though drunk, and giggled with a few hiccups to herself.
Then Sonic broke out laughing, pointing to Shadow’s slowly raising eyebrow at the confusion of this new puzzle, but also at the fact that she then kept poking his face and repeating, “Handsome, Handsome, HAnDsOme~”
She leaned her head against his shoulder and slumped downward, not able to keep herself upright as Shadow’s eyebrow twitched and his mouth hung open as though not knowing what to say, although sounds did pass through them to reveal his uncomfortableness at this disturbance.
After a moment of reacting to Shadow, Sonic suddenly felt it was time to remove Amy from him. “Whoo... Alright, I had my laugh, and you-!” he quickly scooped Amy up into a bridal-style hold. Shaking his head at her with a smile, “Have had your fun. Sorry, Shadow. She tends to get into trouble if not watched carefully enough.” He teased, but Amy just lightly reached for Shadow.
“Fluffy... no...” She seemed genuinely despondent, and Sonic just pouted to her in a funny response.
“Oui, I might not have his fluff, but that doesn’t make me any less attractive. Come on, you. I think it’s time for bed!” Remembering what the Butterfly said, he began to walk off with her, but stopped as he was passing Tails, giving him a wink, “Think you could help Shadow out in the ruins? I’ll catch up with you two.”
“But what about Amy?” Tails shook his head, turning to Sonic. “Em-mm, I think I’ll wait for you, Shadow should go on ahead of us.”
He looked to Shadow who was dusting himself off, not really sure how he was able to tolerate that and then looked to Tails with a nod.
Tails smiled, happy he wasn’t too frazzled by Amy’s actions and then looked back to Sonic. “I’m sure it’ll be fine! I’ll go gather some more intel from the locals around here while you help Amy fight through the effects of the berries.”
“Alright, sounds like a plan!” Sonic agreed and took off.
After a moment of Amy being a rag-doll in his hands, he finally found a quiet enough place to set her down where the monsters that Eggman had released from the ruins weren’t all crawling around.
“Okay, this should do.” He set her down and squatted by her side, “Still missing the fluffy?”
She sniffed, but then yawned and began to stretch, unable to keep her balance and laid down.
“Okay, looks like we’re sitting down.” Sonic chuckled, sitting down and trying to keep her elevated. “Don’t get too used to this... But I doubt you understand anything I’m really saying, anyway.” He helped lift her head up to his shoulder, cradling her back a moment before helping it upright before it sank into him.
“You tried yet?”
“Nooo..!” she shifted her head and body, but it was clear she was extremely tried.
“Is that so?”
“I want... I ... Emm...” she kept moving around, and Sonic couldn’t seem to stop her from squirming.
“I know, I know... Fluffy isn’t coming though, so don’t rub it in...” He lightly rubbed his chest, a moment of being self-aware of an obvious difference before-
“I want someone to hold me..!” she cried out, “I want to be loved...” she flopped to the side, and Sonic stopped to stare at her a moment.
In Amy’s fingertips, she could finally feel a little bit of the grass now. She could also feel the crossed leg jammed into her stomach to keep her from fully toppling over.
She wasn’t aware of her surroundings, or who she was with, but the thoughts just blurted out from her mouth, and she was suddenly very anxious and talkative.
“I know.” the voice was muffled in her plugged ears... her head was warm and her cheeks even more so. In a daze, she turned to the voice, but the light was too bright and his shape was lost by its stinging presence.
“Ah..!” she tried to whack the light away, but the voice just chuckled.
“What are you reaching for?” he joked.
“Someone... a memory...” She hiccuped and fell back down.
Seeing her so disoriented, he sighed and pulled her back up again.
Her quills brushed against his bare shoulder and he tried to breathe a little deeper, thinking her heartrate might get affected by it and lull her to sleep.
She did hear the thumping of something, and adjusted her head a few times, scraping against something soft and comforting...
His chin moved to stop her from rubbing against it as she spoke up once again. “What if... What if the most... handsomest man in the world hugged you? Wouldn’t that be great?! Would you feel... lwovwed?~” she slurred the word, causing Sonic to tilt his head a second.
“No, I can honestly say that when I hug myself, I feel relatively the same.” he kid, snickering to himself.
Her eyelids looked as though they were about to slowly blink asleep, but instead opened again and squirmed to get comfortable once more against him.
She didn’t seem to comprehend the joke in her current state, so he let it slide, sighing and looking up at the sky.
“I’ve gotta get back to Tails and Shadow soon...”
“Shaw...doe?”
“Mr. Fluffy.”
“Ah. Not the little boy.” she yawned, slinking down to the ground again as he quickly moved away to let her do so.
He lifted a leg away and watched her slip under it to lay down. He lifted himself up, not wanting to disturb her soft decent and then smiled, moving away and looking over her.
His gaze was caring and cautious of her surroundings, he couldn’t help but notice her head flop to the side and a beautiful silhouette of her peaceful body began to take shape.
He watched as, almost instantly, her light breaths and gentle adjustments showed she was falling asleep.
“...What boy?” Sonic found himself asking, not really sure why.
“...Hmph.” she seemed almost asleep before he spoke, but curiosity got the better of him.
“...Have you ever been in love?” she asked.
He blinked.
There was a moment of silence, and he realized if he remained silent, she would just fall asleep, and he’d miss a grand opportunity.
“Have you?”
She shifted her body again, showing that she was struggling to remain awake after almost succumbing to sleep.
“Once... A long time ago~” she yawned, stretching her hand out a moment before turning to him, her head just by his back.
He leaned a little further up, now looming almost over her.
For some reason, she could feel his interest and complete attention on her. Her body getting some feeling back... her consciousness still waning a bit.
“A little boy?” Something had changed in his voice, and as she blinked to look up at the bluish shape over her, she was still blinded by the light and quickly shut them again.
“Yeah... He used to look at me a certain way. He doesn’t anymore.”
She placed a hand on him, and that heartbeat she had heard earlier, the drums had suddenly changed rhythm.
“...I’ve got a bit of news for you...” He smiled, leaning down by her ear as she slowly began to slip into the allure of sleep.
He hoped she was loopy enough to not remember this next part.
“But when you’re not looking...” He leaned down to whisper into her ear, about to get up and dash off any moment now.
“He still looks at you like that.” When the rush of wind brought a cold shiver up her exposed back, she slowly opened her eyes.
Amy Rose had fully conquered the berries' effects, and as her vision cleared, she gently looked off at a blur of blue streaking across the once painful light of the day.
Would he be gone long..? She didn’t know.
Later, she heard something like a helicopter but opened her eyes to realize Tails and Sonic had returned for her. They must have not left her long and helped her up.
Later on, after Eggman was defeated and they were celebrating, Amy was caught up in the joy that she had almost forgotten to stop and look over at Sonic.
In a flash, his eyes were removed from her and taken back to Tails.
She held her stare... was he really just looking at her? Was it the way he had when he was young?
She was still embarrassed by what happened, but she never forgot those words he whispered to her... thinking she was still fully under the effects of the berries.
“He still looks at you like that.”
‘Sonic,’ she wondered, placing a hand to her quickening heartbeat as her eyes never left him. ‘...Have you ever been in love?’
“Ehem.”
She tensed up and turned when she heard the voice, clearly trying to get her attention.
“Sha-Shadow!” she blushed and bowed profusely, “I’m so sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
He turned his head with a scoff from his nose, “Pay no mind to that.” He seemed to let it go, but Amy stared at his chest fur a moment before growing embarrassed and straightening up again.
“S-sorry!” she bowed again, not daring to get up from it.
He sighed, “Those berries you digested... they weren’t... a magenta color... right?”
Amy blinked, and then slowly rose her face up.
There was a strange red to his face...
Uh-oh...

Sonamy Week 2 - Dear Diary
Day 1 -
We just entered the dimensional portal and met up with all our older and alternate universe selves.
Mine is kinda cute, but she needs to try more. That’s just my opinion. Teehee! ^////^
Sonic and the older Sonic raced away to fight Eggman, I hope they’ll be okay... When they got back, I was so excited!!! I jumped really, really high many times to try and see them over the hill.
Sonic ducked through my leaps towards him but I caught him at a wall so he got his ‘Welcome back!’ hug. ;)
Then... I heard a weird conversation between my older, alternate universe self and older, alternate Sonic...
-------
“I just don’t remember you ever being that mean to me!” Amy held her arms tightly around her, looking away as Sonic nervously scratched the back of his head.
“M-mean?” He seemed secretly hurt by that phrasing but didn’t say anything more.
“I guess... after all these years, I only remember the good parts about our past. I never realized how much you tried to dodge me or even push me away...”
Classic Amy was hunched under a stand that was at the corner of the outside wall. Her heart sank and her eyes watered at hearing her older self say something like that...
They were there to stop Eggman... not stop her love story.
“I-... I’m sure this is all a big misunderstanding, Amy.” Sonic tried to counter, but Amy just bent her eyebrows back and looked sorrowfully down to the ground.
“Hey...” she cut him off a little, jolting him back from her obvious ignorance of his last line. “Was there ever a time you really enjoyed being with me?”
“What kind of question is that?” Losing a bit of his temper, Sonic defiantly stepped back and side-stepped her. “How could you ask me something like that?”
“... Was it a loaded question?”
He folded his arms and huffed, “It’s a ridiculous question! Of course, I’ve had fun with you! We’re friends, Amy!” he spoke pretty animatedly with his hands, unfolding them to gesture around his jittery responses.
It was clear he was uncomfortable, so Amy just pouted and placed her hands confidently to her hips, striking a spirited pose.
“Fine, then. I’ll see it as boyish arrogance.” she puffed up the side of her cheek in the last fumes of her anger before popping it out with a sound as though that’s how she was letting it go. “Just maybe talk to your younger self about it. Encourage him to be more... understanding of my feelings.”
“...E...Eh?” Sonic once again seemed out of his comfort zone, not sure how to go about that, and not really sure he should be interfering with how his younger self acted. “It’s just their past, Amy. Can’t we... just drop it?”
“AH!” Both Amy’s gasped in offense, but Classic Amy quickly covered her gaping mouth outside.
Sonic retreated with a few steps back, and with each step, another bit of his hope at somehow overcoming this topic was crushed and hammered out.
“You can be so insensitive, sometimes!”
He sighed before the two heard some rustling and a few sobs.
“What was that?” Sonic asked, moving over to the door and looking out.
He watched as Classic Amy raced around the corner.
“Oh no...” He facepalmed himself, ‘Amy’s gonna kill me if she finds out her younger self heard all that...’
“What’s wrong?” Amy waited patiently within the room, and Sonic had a to look back and make a speedy decision.
“Uhh... We may have had a slight eavesdropper...” He awkwardly sweatdropped, figuring honesty was better than having her find out some other way.
“An eavesdropper? It couldn’t be...” she worriedly put her finger up to her mouth, clearly about the freak out when Sonic waved his hands out to try and settle her shivering nerves.
“Don’t worry, Amy! I’ll talk to her. I think that might be best at this point.” Sonic lowered his head in a bit of humility, ‘How could that ever be easier than just telling myself to be less obvious?’
He raced out after seeing Amy nod uncontrollably at his idea, noticing her break down might happen at any moment. He caught up to Classic Amy easily, skidding to a halt behind her.
“Wait up, Little Amy!” he smiled warmly but noticed her whole face was fearful, teary-eyed, and full of confusion.
“...Oh man.” He felt his heart take an escalator slowly up to his throat.
She slowly turned around, “W-why... Why are you so mean to me?”
The escalator had a hitch in its momentum and suddenly the icky-ucky feeling in his gut decided to take the elevator.
“I’m... I’m not mean to you...” He slowly fell to a knee, crumbling at how sweetly innocent her voice sounded. ‘Man, I remember this age.’ he thought to himself, the nostalgia getting to him. “I care an awful lot about your wellbeing.” He tried to remember she was a child, speaking in plain terms, but it still felt a little awkward.
He had memories of her overly affectionate outbreaks of kisses and hugs, and the reflex to flinch back almost triggered at just the thought of them!
He shook his head, “Sometimes,... Amy.... I’m not good with showing how I really feel.”
“...Could you write it down?” She raised an eyebrow, seeking desperately for understanding.
Now he felt both the stomach and his heart fighting for space in his throat.
He had to clear it, sending them all straight back down where they belonged. “Gee, I don’t know about that but... you can always try.”
Her face suddenly lit up with an idea then. She rubbed the tears off her eyes, and nodded. “I’ll make you one then!”
“H-huh? Make me one wha-Hey!” he reached out for her when she dashed off. “J-... Just don’t tell Amy! Or give younger me a hard time about this..! ...Oh boy.” he worried what his younger self would think, but at least it was out of his hands now.
-----
Day 3 - I’ve completed my project!
I placed my ‘Book of What Makes Me Happy’ under Sonic’s arm today. Older Sonic had said that maybe writing it down would be best, and I think so too!
I’ve recorded what I said in this book too, just so I remember what I did!
The first page is a drawing with me on it, saying --- “This is what makes me happy!” then the other pages go as follows, 1. Spending time with Sonic and his friends. 2. Going on adventures with Sonic and his friends. 3. Eating together with Sonic and his friends. 4. What makes me most happiest is when I’m with Sonic!
I contemplating drawing a wedding at the end, but I ran out of paper. :’( It’s okay though, I drew us looking out at the sunset.
While I was drawing, I tried to hide my pictures from Sonic. He had come back with his older self and tried to peek over and see what I was doing at the table.
I was really careful not to show him! >:Y I didn’t want him to ruin the surprise! But then he did something I won’t forget...
He sat down next to me and drew us drawing together, with big smiles on our faces, and laughing with one another...
Aww, it was so cute! I had to put it in The Book of What Makes Me Happy. I just had too! So the last page was his picture, which I asked if I could keep.
He didn’t write on it, but I was excited he let me keep it.
Day 4 -
Sonic’s acting weird around me... He must have seen my book, why didn’t he want to talk about it?
I put on the final page to write me a book of his happiness, so that way, I would know what made him happy too. Smart, right? :Db
Well, he’s being a jerk again! >Bc Hmph! He kept avoiding me all day and hiding something behind his back. I even threw my hammer in a tantrum, but instead of rushing over to comfort me, he sped off again! That was mean!
Older Sonic just laughed and called me a Rascal... that also hurt my feelings... but older me said he meant it in a loving way...
I don’t see it, but I trusted her anyway when he looked back and gave me a wink. That made me happy again! *//nwn//* Older Sonic is so handsome! Getting a wink from him made my day, heehee!~
Day 6 -
Sonic spoke to me again, he quickly said -- “Here! Have this!” I was so shocked but he smashed a poorly-shuffled book at me and ran.
Its cover was cardboard with the words, ‘What Makes Me Happy - Amy’s Eyes Only.’ Then a picture of himself with angry eyes. I guess that means its my response, right?
I was so excited, I just rushed to my room and closed the door right away! I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m glad I got to read it...
His book had pictures just like mine! One was him sleeping in a tree, and he wrote--well, scribbled--”What Makes Me Happy is being alone in nature.” That made me frown because it contradicted what I had said.
The next page had, “2. Fighting Robotnik and Robots!” and had him crashing into and sticking his tongue out at a badnik. It made me giggle, hehe! But I was still sad it didn’t have me in it...
“3. Watching sunsets...” This one broke my heart, he was watching the sunset alone! And he drew it just like I had! But cut me out of the picture! I was about ready to thrown down the book, but noticed there was a sliver of paper still attached to the ringlets around the book.
I turned the page and low and behold! It was a picture of all our friends! And there was a cut out section where Sonic was still watching the sunset, but now Tails, Knuckles, and even I was there! It read above it, “...Even with my friends!”
That made me very, very happy! But I noticed there was still one piece of paper left.
I flipped it over and it had me hugging Sonic on it. He drew hearts all over where I was but he put a swiggly line as his nervous smile. Aww, how cute! He’s so shy~
That one was my favorite, he wrote, “And lastly, you make me happy too.”
That was it! I was gonna marry him and no one could tell me otherwise! Hehe!!! <3 <3 <3 xoxxxxo
-----
Sonic was strolling with Classic Amy up on top of his head, playing keep-away with his younger self as he tried to take her back from him.
“You’ll never see her again! Whaha!” Sonic was clearly playing with them, but even Classic Tails joined in the fun, though it took some effort to get Classic Knuckles to see it as a game.
When Classic Sonic finally saved Classic Amy, Sonic let him have her and watched him take off with Tails and Knuckles, all heading back to the portal.
“Aww, that was sweet.” Amy approached Sonic, looking lovestruck at seeing how good he was with ‘kids’.
Sonic just chuckled, “Yeah, well... I thought a lot about what you said.”
“Really? That’s new.” Amy teased, but Sonic just rolled his eyes.
“Heh... Anyway, I wanted him to value his friendship with her. So by playing keep-away, I think I resparked that old flame.”
“...Old flame?” Amy’s eyes blinked in delight, leaning towards his eyeline and stepping in front of her. Her hands were behind her back as she swayed her body back and forth a moment. “Whatever do you mean by that, my darling Sonic~?”
“H-huh?” He head meant helping his younger self remember how much Amy meant to him, but not like this! “W-wa-wait a second! Hold on, Amy! You might have the wrong idea!”
“Oh, I think I got the right idea... hehe~ Now time to convince you it is!” she jumped at him, mimicking her younger years of flirting with him as Sonic quickly escaped her arms and began to move back, shaking his head and hands that he placed out in front of him.
“R-Really, Amy! It’s not what you think!”
“What was that? I can’t hear your sweet nothings from all the way over there~”
“Q-quit that, Amy! We’re not kids anymore! Yikes!” he took off but Amy was right on his heels!
(I’m trying to get these sonamy week prompts out on time. I hope this works ^^; )

Could you make something of a sequel to the prompt where Amy is the heroine and Sonic is the one crushing on her? But something more lighthearted with Sonic effortlessly chasing Amy and hilarity ensues.
Lol, which sequel? (x) (x) (x) <– Role Reversal Stories I have found.
I guess I’ll just do my best and try something? haha XD
Since you said ‘lighthearted’ I think you mean to stay off the Maria Robotnik thing, right? Just some cute shenanigans with Amyic? (Sonamy gender-bend ship name? lololol) Got it. Got it.
Prompt———————–
The wind howled past the rolling hills that littered the Green Valley Zone. It was a zone Amy came to often, a place she felt some peace.
She relaxed by some flowerbeds and stretched, seeing the day was young and the morning finally peeking its glowing eye over the horizon.
She yawned, “Whelp, where to next?” she lifted a knee up and let her arm sit on it, just looking over the beautiful world she had protected since she was a little girl.
And then she noticed something out of the ordinary in the distance.
She squinted her eyes, seeing a faint shade of blue racing through the valley’s ups and downs. The reverse loop-de-loops and jump-pads.
“…Is that..?” She began to grow concerned, “Oh no…” It was like her mouth was being tugged back by two fish hooks, realizing who was coming her way. “Eeee… I’ve got to get out of here!”
She pushed herself off the ground and started running, though she knew she was nowhere near as fast as Sonic The Hedgehog.
Still, he would either tackle her with a snuggly greeting or propose to her again, and she just didn’t want her morning spoiled by such doting admiration.
She looked for anything to hide in, but only found a palm tree and quickly climbed up it.
When Sonic did pass by, it was just a streak of blue.
She sighed, thinking maybe her red dress could blend in with the jump-pad at the top of the tree.
She waited… and heard nothing.
“Phew.” she started to come down the tree but noticed a crabbot looking up at her.
She froze, blinking at it.
It snipped a metallic claw.
She feined a smile, “Nice bot. Good bot… stay back…” she tried to climb down again, but it leaped up and snapped at her dress.
“Ah!” she heard a tear but scaled up the tree. “You naughty little-!” she noticed that a small slit was in her dresses back, a little of her white underpants showing through. “You’ll pay for that!” she jumped to slam down on the little robot, hammering it out but it sprung her back up with the hardness of its shell.
It was one of those robots she had to destroy by flipping it over to its underbelly. The top made a BOOING sound as she was flown back up and into the jump-pad on the tree.
“Nooooo…!!!” she cried out, face-first into a series of pre-determined angles where the jump-pads would launch her into many more jump-pads for an almost infinite chain.
Once the chain was completed she was flying through the air onto a completely separate part of Green Valley Zone, a usual shortcut for getting around but this one was not quite how she wanted to ‘fly in style’ so to speak…
Before hitting the ground, Amy was taken by a swiftly moving bullet, an arrow through the sky of primary blue that held her close and landed safely to the ground.
“Pah! What are you-?” she was slightly dazed by the hits but shook her head and was quickly alright again.
She looked up to see the smiling face of Sonic The Hedgehog, holding her in his arms bridal style. With the sun blocking his face, he actually looked pretty cool. However, when the cloud moved away, his face was revealed to be shining eyes that sparkled dramatically towards her.
Her expression of awe turned suddenly to awkward shyness. A sweat drop appeared on the side of her face as her open-mouth shook at the corner, trying to be polite and smile but didn’t seem to register it quite right.
“I can’t believe it! I found you! Amy Rose!” he was like a fanboy she couldn’t shake off…
She lowered her eyelids, mumbling out her defeated words, “Hello, Sonic… Long time no-OFFPH!”
Sonic crushed her face into his chest, snuggling her with his head reaching deep into her noggin’.
With a smushed face, she grimaced, knowing he wouldn’t see it as she grew more and more agitated by his obsessive loving.
She suddenly felt a skim of his nose pierce through her quilled hair and reach the soft fur below it, sensitive since it never usually was touched.
She flinched and tried to wiggle free, lifting a leg to step down from his hold as he moved his head away from the back of her head and nuzzle up to her cheek to cheek.
“I was so worried about you! Especially when Rouge told me the Master Emerald was stolen by that thieving echidna again!” She leaned away from him, arms crooked as though trying to escape without being so obvious about it.
He blinked and moved away from her then, “Are you hurt?”
“I’m fine, Sonic…” she lightly let out, but it was clear she was desperately attempting to not be rude. He was just concerned for her anyway… she shouldn’t scold people for caring about her so much…
“B-but what are you doing all the way out here?” She rubbed behind her head, squirming a finger down through her quills to itch the place his nose once skimmed.
“Oh! I was looking for you, duh.” He put his hands to his hips, “I thought you might be hungry! I’ll pay!”
“You always pay.” She closed her eyes and gave off a nervous frown, knowing full well that when he pays, he automatically tells the world they went on a date together…
“Aw, come on! Let me treat you again!” He pleaded, but Amy just stuck a hand up and held her ground.
“No thanks. People usually feed me for free anyway.”
“That’s because you’re so popular. Heee~” he chimed back. “But really, I was awfully concerned about ya… Let’s go do something together! Today!” he placed his hands together, leaning towards her with his sparkling eyes of puppy love again…
She had to look away from them, sweating a bit as she’s never had to deal with anyone so enthralled by her before.
“U… Uhmm…” It was hard to resist him. He was so pushy sometimes…
“Hmmm?” he moved closer.
She sighed, blinking a few times to him before giving in, slouching over. “Alright, Sonic. You win.”
“Oh good! We didn’t have to wait for your grumbling stomach this time around!” he gave her a thumbs up and offered his hands again, flexing his fingers as a ‘come to me’ sign.
His smile never faded, at least that was nice.
But beckoning her into his arms like that..?
Amy rubbed the side of her face, “I think I’d like to walk, thanks.” she politely turned him down and started off.
He looked a little confused, but then pouted, “I have speedy feet for a reason… you don’t have to wear yourself out all the time, you know, Amy? You should let a man like me take care of you for a change!” he tried to puff out his bare chest, but then became self-conscious that he didn’t have large fluff like Shadow and Silver and withdrew a little as he looked away.
“I-I mean… I could be a decent boyfriend, you know…” he muttered, but Amy just waved him off and was still walking on.
“You coming or what?” she called, and his ears perked right back up, forgetting his insecurities as he took off to her side.
It took barely a second for him to catch up, holding his hands behind his back and leaning towards her while they walked. “So,… what’cha thinking about?”
“Nothing.” Amy shrugged.
“Were you maybe thinking about me? Cause I think about you all the time.” He looked down with his eyes closed, blushing a bit.
“Not really.”
Sonic twitched and stood straight now, looking at her sorrowfully. “Do you not think about me at all?”
“Only when I need to be.”
His face brightened up, “When’s that?” he said, cheerily picking up the happy mood again.
Amy liked that about Sonic, he was never disappointed or sad for too long. It was hard trying to comfort or make people happy, Amy wasn’t the best social person, but it was easy to talk to Sonic. At least, he made it easy for her.
“Usually when you’re in danger. I think about how I’m gonna get you outta there a lot.” Amy spoke very casually, but Sonic just took it like an arrow to his back.
“Is that so…” He breathed out, white as a ghost.
Embarrassed, but taking courage to prove himself to her, he tightened his fists and bundled them up near his face.
“Grrr..! That does it! I’ll make you respect me, Amy Rose!”
‘Good luck with that.’ Amy smiled, turning to him. “Was it something I said?”
“OoooOOOoohhh!” Sonic did his famous whine, taking her hand and looking dead into her eye. “Come on! We’re going on the most amazing date of your life!”
“H-huh?” Amy was whisked away then, Sonic taking places she usually had to fly in the X-Whirlwind to get too or walk long distances to make.
It was beautiful. A small joy ride she didn’t realize she had wanted.
When Sonic finally put her down, he smiled tried to hold her hand as she was distracted by the scenic nature around her.
She tensed up and her body quaked at the sudden touch, but Sonic just stood there happily. He lowered his eyes and cooed a little to her, “Thinking about me differently now, Amy Rose?”
Amy nervously kept her hand from closing around his own, just staring at him with awkward shyness. “You really don’t mess around about this, do you?”
“Amy! You should know I take our relationship very seriously!” Sonic defended, placing a fist by his hip and nodding in sincerity. “Whenever you’re happy, I’m happy. And whenever you’re in danger, I’ll gladly run into said danger too! I won’t leave you alone to face all the horrors of the world head on. Hehe.” he chuckled at the end with a sly wink to her.
“Anything to make me happy, huh?” Amy then changed her expression, and Sonic immediately blushed at it.
“A-anything!” he nervously nodded.
Amy leaned towards his face, a neutral and carefree smile now. “Annnnything~?”
“A-Any-anything you want! It’s yours! Even my very soul!” his bottom lip was trembling at her willing closeness now.
Amy smirked, “Then could you let go of my hand?” And winked.
“Ah!” he let go instinctively, startled by her abrupt flirt but realized he had been tricked. “D’oh!” he stomped the ground.
“That’s it! I’m not letting you escape this time!”
Amy was laughing as she walked off, thinking that was the end before Sonic tackled to her to the ground.
“Woah-wah-hey!”
They kept rolling till they naturally came to a stop, Sonic holding Amy tightly as she could hear his racing heartbeat.
‘Had… had it always beat this fast?’ she wondered, her hand directly over it as she curiously looked there.
Sonic was twitching in nerves, but took a deep breath to summon some courage, and looked at Amy with a serious expression. “Marry me, Amy Rose.”
“H-huh?” She looked up at him. ‘Again with the proposals?’
“I know you don’t need a man. You’re so strong on your own. But I really meant it. I would do anything to keep you happy, to stay by your side no matter what may come! I… I won’t abandon you, Amy Rose! You can count me in until the very end of time! Always!”
His declaration made her blink in a bit of sympathy. ‘Poor kid. I really have a hold on his heart, don’t I? No matter how much I try and loosen up for him, he still just grabs me back and gives me an even tighter hold on it. He really won’t just let my hand go… Will he?’
Amy looked up at Sonic and smiled, “I believe you, Sonic.”
Sonic suddenly loosened his hold on her, hearing those words. “Y-you do?”
“Em-hmm. And I think you’re a swell guy for saying them.” She nodded and moved a bit out of his grasp. “Tell ya what. If you hang around, I bet we’ll have fun adventures together.”
“And eat chilidogs again?” His eyes sparkled.
“Eh…” She looked a bit taken aback by that one. ‘Where’d that come from?’
“S-sure. Chilidogs it is.” she kept her smile but lightly felt a prick at her heart. He really was trying, and he wasn’t a bad guy either…
Maybe just a little bit hopeless.
Sonic sat up, nodding encouragingly as he watched her get up too. “Okay then, I will,” he smirked, a corner of his mouth showing a somewhat mischievous underlining to his thinking. “And then you’ll want to marry me! No questions asked.”
Amy just sighed and stretched her back, looking to see the sun had risen fully now. “Whatever you say, Sonic.”
The two looked back at one another, a long-held stare but both closed their eyes and smiled to one another.
A lovely couple indeed~
(Might go with (x) for a prequel/part 1?)

Hey hey here's a promt miss Mayra. Imagine Sonic is a little older, he has fought countless battles against Eggman and then one day the thought that he may go into battle and never come back comes into his head. He starts pushing people away because of that thought not wanting people close to him to suffer if that were to happen. Amy notices his off behavior and helps him through this.
Warning: Some minor adult themes mentioned, but still innocently safe.
That being said- It’s a MAJOR AU concept… I took somewhat of your idea and expanded on another idea I had. If this prompt isn’t what you wanted, I will be more than happy to write a different one strictly on what you wrote. But I do hope you enjoy this one too!
Prompt:
“You are coming back… I know you will!”
Sonic simply stares… he’s already made this fact very clear…
He wasn’t coming back.
“You say it’s…” Amy’s voice cracks, tears flooding her face like April showers, but in the dead of the night… she knows that if she leaves his side now… he’ll never return.
“You’re not gonna die… you’re not gonna leave us all behind because you would never do such a thing! You wouldn’t do something you knew you couldn’t come back to unless-!” She stopped herself, coming up with a way to break his fib.
She glared him down, determined to prove him wrong.
But his will was unbreakable. His heart passed caring about formalities with Amy…
She had found him after he had decided to go off into the dimension Eggman had accidentally cast himself into. He vowed that in that dimension, he would terrorize and take over, plot for all eternity how to get back and destroy Sonic and this world.
Sonic knew that Eggman was trapped, and the thought of letting another world defend for itself…
Plagued him.
“You wouldn’t leave this world…” Amy bit her lower lip, realizing then that he would for the sake of innocent lives. “You wouldn’t leave and say goodbye… you couldn’t! You can’t just keep sacrificing like this! You fought for fun and won for the world’s sake! You’re a hero! But you don’t have to refuse everything now!” She gripped her hands to her face, her knees giving way but she forced them to jut into each other, keeping herself upward.
Sobbing harshly, she knew nothing she could say would make him stay unless she gave him a terrible ultimatum.
“You’ll return. I know you will. Because you can’t convince me you’re not!” She shot her head up, stepping slightly back as she realized Sonic’s cold stare never left her, looking at her from an angle.
“You…” she held back all her emotions now. He wouldn’t take her seriously if she didn’t get a hold of herself.
She gripped her fist.
“What I’m saying is… you wouldn’t leave without doing something that would ultimately mean you couldn’t come back.” She forced her tongue to form the words. “You would have to do something so unredeemable. So, against all you stand for… You wouldn’t leave me without saying goodbye.”
It broke her. Something she wasn’t expecting.
She closed her eyes and leaned her head back, before turning away and shaking her head to snap out of it.
This was her way of releasing him in a sense… She knew he would go even without blinking an eye to her.
But at least a kind word…
Or something that would convince her to let him go…
She then heard his voice as she wiped her red eyes from all the crying and held herself, trying to be still but feeling the cold of the wind on her sides…
“…Then I’ll do the unthinkable.”
Amy held her breath, but the stifling of sniffles of her sobbing couldn’t be repressed, causing her head to bounce up and down in subtle signs of still crying…
She heard the grass crush under advancing footfalls…
“If you won’t even spare me my pride… and if you refuse to let me die… then I have no choice but to convince you… this is it.”
Her eyes,… once held down in sorrow now looked forward in horror.
What was he doing?
He stopped right before her back.
“…You’re really going through with this?” Amy breathed out, almost the sound of a whisper, but more frantic and panicky.
Sonic frowned and gripped his fist.
“…Will you honestly let me go… if I don’t?”
She closed her eyes, shaking her head.
“…Then… Before I physically go away…” he bent his head down. “….I’ll have to force you to let me leave… in the one place you’ve refused to let me go from…”
She felt his arms slowly moving to ensnare her into a trap she willingly forced herself into.
They creeped at the corner of her vision… ready to pounce at any sudden movement and entangle her into her heartbreaking trap…
For both of them…
“Amy…”
She started to believe him, and it frightened her, as her eyes darted and her feet began to grow flighty, tapping to look for a way out on any which side.
“…I won’t be coming back…”
“NO!” Amy bolted, but the arms encircled her and threw her down.
“NOOO!!” Amy felt him pull her down, felt the unforgivable reality that he was going to do everything in his power to convince her he wasn’t coming back.
“Stop! You wouldn’t-! You couldn’t-!” She was pleading for him to be lying, but as he continued in his death-sentence, it became more and more real.
Amy pushed and struggled, but he overtook her and when everything was prepared he hesitated.
They panted and looked deep into each other’s eyes… the night consuming their dread.
“…Please…” Amy shook her head, not letting her eyes leave his. “Don’t go…”
He closed his mouth.
She knew this was his last declaration of goodbye, the last thing he could give her.
“Don’t-“
He pressed his lips against hers…and slowly… he got her to lay down.
-years later-
“…That’s terrible.” A blue hedgehog got up and shook his head from his bed, looking out a window and placing his hands on his hips. “Did he even know?” The boy looked back to his mother.
“…No.” Amy admitted, looking down and holding her hands together tightly, before draping them over the other in a rubbing motion. She was desperately trying to remain calm, but he had demanded to know who his father was…
It was hard to admit the truth.
“He really was an amazing hero… but I wouldn’t have believed he would never come back if he didn’t do something to leave me with… That act… was a mercy in the end.” Amy’s eyebrows bent and she looked to the wall of photos…
“I don’t think he imagined… No, I’m sure he had no idea that the consequence would be more than me letting him go and moving on with my life… but that act of love also gave me a final gift… You.” She smiled to her son.
He looked back over his shoulder.
“You’re the spitting image of him, Sonic… I loved your father, and it broke my heart to see him give into a selfish ultimatum… but I could tell he meant it with all of his heart… I would have waited for him, Sonic!” she gripped the edges of her chair, desperately trying to make it sound better than what he believed…
He shook his head, moving to the door and running his hands frustratedly through his upper quills.
“Your father gave up this life for that other dimension… he gave up everyone… everything..” she looked away, “I would have withered away waiting for his return… that would have never happened…”
The son of Sonic once again swung his quills around in a silent protest to his creation… and then his shoulders relaxed.
“…So, I’m a lovechild…” His voice cracked, unable to look back at his mother.
“…Yes.”
“You’re saying he loved you to prove he wasn’t coming back.”
“…Yes.” Her mouth could barely form the right way, her throat squeezing on her as she refused to see shame by it. She closed her eyes.
“Why can’t you understand… this is a difficult topic for me.”
“You’re not the one hearing you were born out of wedlock…”
“SONIC!” she stood up, “I will always be married to your father in my heart!” she pounded her chest, which snapped her son out of his open thoughts and flinch back to her, looking worried.
“Hey! Calm down, you’ll hurt yourself!”
“He sacrificed so much! He left me- no, the world with his only son to guard the joy and happiness of this world! Don’t you think ill of him! And don’t you dare judge me, either!”
“Calm down! Calm down, mom… Heh, Sonic Jr. I should of known.” He first addressed his mother, placing hands on her own arms to keep her from that powerful hitting she did before, and then looked up at the ceiling to think about his lineage…
“Alright mom, fine.” He sighed, “He was a good man.” He looked back down at her sweetly.
“…Do I also act like him? Not just all looks?” He tried to lighten the topic.
She nodded, blinking her glossy eyes in love for him. “Yes.” She felt her voice strain, “Yes, you’re like him reincarnated into this world.”
“…Then… I’ll do what I can… to serve this world he left behind.”
Amy kissed his cheek as he zoomed off…
Unknown to the actual Sonic… in that other dimension, there was a Tails, a Knuckles… and to his great astonishment and everlasting devotion… An Amy Rose.
Sonic swore that in this world, he would defend and protect her, to make up for any sin and pain he caused his Amy in his world…
But he wasn’t sure if he could love her like his Amy….
But he might as well try, for her sake.
But never let another ultimatum come between them again!
(I was thinking about how universes were created… An interesting AU concept of where Sonic was ‘figuratively to die’ by never coming back to his original universe, but going into another. This could lead to many different universes, and I thought your prompt was perfect for writing about this idea. I’m not sure what universe this Sonic took over in, but probably in a universe where Sonic didn’t exist at first. Still, an interesting idea, some sonamy, and the (read more) is for the somewhat adult themes mentioned in this prompt ^^; I hope that’s alright!)

Hello mayra, I love your writing and I just wanna say how much I appreciate the effort you put into your prompts. Thank you for writing them for us, they must be really time consuming and I wouldnt want to be a bother but I have a Modern Sonamy if youre interested in writing. :) Its about Sonic possibly making subtle romantic advances towards Amy, thank you! I dont want to pressure you or anything I dont mind if you dont write this. Just want to say how much I appreciate your prompts!
Honey, even if I’m SWAMPED with prompts, I will ALWAYS do requests that don’t violate any of the rules ;)b I just need patience, but I’m very grateful you recognize the time and effort. I enjoy it deeply, but I also am glad you love it so much as well!
Never worry too much about me, I’ll do my best. Yours is just to ask and sit back, relax, and enjoy the feels :)
Tumblr media
(x) Used with permission from the Artist, please support them as well! :D
Because this is modern Sonamy, I’ll try to keep it as close to character as possible while also leaning towards Canon; but because Sonic is the one making advances, you’ll have to expect some AU situations and moments. Thank you! ;)
Prompt:
(Sonic Forces)
“Get down!”
“Ah!”
Sonic slid into the rectangular hole dug for cover and threw the wood-covering over it, forcing Amy to duck her head down and turn her body.
It wasn’t a whole lot of room… but Sonic pushed his head up on the wood to see if the robots had followed him or not.. Amy…
Amy was so close to his chest! She tried to wiggle herself lower down to give him more room to zoom out if he needed too… but this bunker was mostly for her to communicate with the team until it was time to jump out and start fighting too.
She waited with low breaths, before peeking up and noticing him moving further up, squeezing the small space into an even tinier area.
“Eep!” she lightly spoke out, turning her head up and then to the side, closing her eyes and covering them with her hands as now his torso was up by her…
“A-a-ar-are they gone?” Amy peeked up, looking at his serious expression, thinking he didn’t notice…
“Coast has been clear for some time, Amy.”
“..H-huh?” She blinked her eyes more open and looked up, seeing him now fully looking down and looming over her with a sly grin on his face.
He winked and darted out.
She practically collapsed, exhausted from the ‘slightly steamy’ moment she just experienced.
(Sonic Lost World)
“Sonic! I’m sending you some pics!” Amy’s message read.
Sonic zoomed up a tree and suddenly stopped at the top of it. “Woah, Amy- Hang on a minute…”
She sent him some pics of her and the flickies, then her and Knuckles.
“We’re all rooting for you, Sonic! Good luck!”
He smiled, and continued his joke, “You’re too innocent for me.”
“What does that mean?” she wrote back, before he laughed and continued.
“Nothing. I like innocent.”
He then took off to continue his adventure, as back with Amy, she pulled her face away from the MilesElectric and held a strange look on her face.
Suddenly getting his joke she slapped her hand to her mouth, and then aggressively wrote a long, and extensive message back to him.
“Ohh! That boy!” she sent it and then lowered the device, rolling her eyes.
A second later, she got a message back and looked down at it.
“I was only playing, Amy.”
She smiled.
Before another message was sent.
“Besides, I’ve seen enough as it is. Close up your back once in a while, ‘ight? Try a new dress or something.”
She almost threw the device.
Knuckles asked what was wrong and she just barked at him a quick, “NOTHING.”
(Sonic Unleashed)
Going on that date she requested, Sonic looked distant and aloof most of the time. Though they spent each second together, Amy could tell he wasn’t really ‘in the moment’ with her at all.
Walking around the city, she finally tugged on his arm and pulled him to the railing, having him look out over the view as she cried out with a big, huge grin on her face. “Isn’t it lovely!? I can’t believe we’re in the most beautiful city in the world and you’re off looking into space!” she huffed just slightly before shaking her head.
“Ah, well.” she giggled and hugged his arm closer, closing her eyes. “At least you’re looking off into space with me by your side~ That’s all I could ask for.”
He didn’t respond for a moment, before Amy felt his arm move out of her grasp.
She let it go… but a sudden sorrow crept into her heart and she lost her easy-going nature. Turning her eyes to the ground on the opposite side of her, she left her hunched over body where it was and seemed disappointed.
But that only lasted a moment.
She blinked her eyes forward and then turned to where the slight pressure of being pulled closer was coming from.
She twisted her back to arch her neck and look down behind her side, seeing a large white glove had caressed her side and pulled her closer to him.
She blinked back at the view, before excitedly turning to Sonic, who was surprisingly staring right at her with a neutral smile on his face.
“Sorry.” he mentioned, seeming genuine about it. “Sometimes, I just have nothing to say. Other times…”
She felt him pull her closer… and it practically took her breath away.
“I just like hearing your voice. That’s all.”
He winked.
She swooned.
And the rest of the day, his arm never left her side.
(Sonic Adventure 2)
After chasing the president down, Sonic was headed off to the rest of his adventure, before passing the city as he ran along the road, and noticed a familiar building…
-flashback to Sonic Adventure-
“Oh Sonic! This ride is so much fun!” Amy squee’d while getting in line to one of the attractions at Twinkle Park.
Sonic had rolled his eyes, not that thrilled to be there.
At least it was free…
Amy looped an arm around his own and pulled him into the roller-coaster.
“Here, for safety.”
She pulled the ride’s seat-security from above him down, and then giggled as she did her own.
But he stopped her a moment, thinking it a funny joke, he put his hand over her shoulder and out from her gripping his arm.
It surprised her, that’s for sure.
“No- Here.” he charmingly gave her a smile. “For safety.”
She almost didn’t get the seat-security on in time before the ride began, just from her loud and boisterous giggles of glee; kicking her feet out wide!
-End flashback-
Sonic snuffed downward with his nose, having a disapproving face on.
‘I was too sweet on her…’ he thought to himself, as he took off quickly towards his off-ramp…
Or more so… jumped… off the road, creating his own.
-Eggman’s trickery and the tube-
When it came time for Sonic to address Amy… he held his rushing thoughts back.. a million things he wanted to say to her.
Looking to her though… seeing the fear in her eyes… he knew just what to say.
-Flashback to Sonic Adventure again-
Amy had wobbled off an extreme twirl-ride and had to have Sonic help her as she walked away.
She tripped or fell on him a few times, but he got her to a seat and sighed, sitting by her as she laughed in her dizzy state.
“That was a wild one! Huh, Sonic?” she laughed, as he just folded his arms, scooting back and leaning as far down the chair as he could, shrugging.
“Haha! Ohh.. my stomach.” she gripped her stomach then, hunching over and Sonic leaned up, suddenly actually caring.
“Are you alright?” he leaned a hand to help her up.
“Just… OFFPH!” she covered her mouth as Sonic panicked.
His feet jumped up and down, quickly looking for something before helping her up and over to a trashcan.
He sighed again as she was by that trashcan for a while…
“Amy…” he had a sweat drop slid on the corner of his face, before turning back to her and smiling, having leaned on a railing by the object.
She sadly looked up, thinking he was now having a horrible time with her.
He saw that expression and knew what he needed to say next, with a charming smile.
“Take care of yourself.” he smiled very warmly, hushing any fears she had that he wasn’t enjoying this time with her.
It’s true… that he wasn’t… but he didn’t want her to think the whole adventure with her in Twinkle Park was… well… it wasn’t all that bad.
-end flashback, back to space colony ark-
Sonic repeated the words, “Take care of yourself.”
Amy’s heart leaped out of her chest, remembering those exact words and what they truly meant…
‘I enjoyed spending time with you.’
She knew that’s what he meant.
Seeing the pod zoom off into orbit… she raced to the window, hands crashing on the glass before moving back from the force she used to land on it and reaching out a hand to him.
“SOOONNNNICCC…!!!!”
(I’ll stop there :) What do you think?)

Note
Soooo I was wondering, maybe you could write a kinda story about Sonic and Amy being a lil bit older (so amy is not 12 lol, maybe shes 16?) and being secret lovers? I dont mind if they're actually dating or not, but it would be so cool if they had these "make up sessions" in secret or something. If you can set it up in Modern, please? Thanks!
Make… up?
As in, they fight? xD I always make them a little older in all my sonamy stuff, I don’t quite believe a 15 year old Sonic would be in the proper ‘mindset’ for any of my stories without being a bit older. (Unless I was completely true to canon, which no one seems to ask for, so I write those on my own.) but that’s because Canon’s sonamy is very light and people want it more upfront, so to speak, not hidden away because of all the connotations that there’s nothing there or something. Sad how that works out :(
So, secret lovers? I can do that. To keep it canon though, do you mind if they’ve just recently become a couple..? That way, I can keep Sonic a little skittish like canon so it’s not so AU XD
Thanks for the ask! I hope this works for you, here I go!
(I’m gonna assume you mean some kissing… I’ll… *ehem* do what I can ;) )
Prompt:
Amy was thrilled that Sonic was spending more time with her, sitting under a tree as they ‘hung out’ together.
He seemed half asleep though, and she looked up, wanting a bit more attention or for this day to go a little more how she would like it.
However… she had to be cautious!
She looked down, saddened by that fact but also determined to succeed, her little mouth forming a pout as her fists came up close together by her face.
She had a plan!
She didn’t want to scare off Sonic from this recent decision to spend more time with her, but she also wanted to make sure he knew what he was getting into…
She took a deep breath, and slowly tried to reach for his hand.
His eyes blinked open, and he gave her a funny look, raising his eyebrow.
She flinched back and hid her face down by his chest, not sure what to do…
She had to try something!
“S…Sonic?” she got up slightly, blinking worriedly to him as she tried to think of how to word this right… “W..want to play a game?”
He tilted his head, “A game?”
At least she got him talking a bit…
“Emhm.” she nodded, “If you want the date to end, you have to play this game first, and then- I’ll let you go!” Amy held a finger up, stating the new rule, before happily lowering her hands to her lap and smiling brightly, eyes closed at her brilliant scheming.
Suspicion spread across Sonic’s face, and she sweat dropped at it.
“What kind of game..?” he seemed to mumble out, yawning before getting up.
“It’s just like your Acts! with each Stage containing another level!” she explained, and put her hands together. “First Act!”
She took his hand, and swung it around, “Stage 1!”
His eyes looked a little concerned,… thinking this weird, he looked back up at her.
“…Eh-heh… heh…” she let go of the hand. “Stage 2!” she leaned close and stared into his eyes.
When he looked away, nervous, she pouted and made a new rule up on the spot.
Who was she kidding, this was all made up on the spot!
“5 seconds for each!”
“5 seconds?!” Sonic turned back to her, blinking in surprise and pulling his frown back, clearly not happy about that as his hand moved over himself, as if in defense.
“Ohhh, quit complaining or I won’t let you leave!” she puffed a side of her cheek up, making him innerwardly smile at the cute drama she usually had whenever he was around her.
He sighed and sat, holding his legs as they stared at one another for a moment…
“Good!” Amy clapped, then winked to hold up two fingers, “Act 2!”
He rolled his eyes.
Cautiously, she moved herself closer to him, and leaned her head against his shoulder.
He leaned back, “Uhh…” feeling uncomfortable, even if they were just like this a few seconds ago…
“…3…4….5! Good job! Stage cleared!” Amy praised, making him feel even more out of place.
“Amy…” he thought that was a bit much, but she continued, putting his hands around her waist. “Okay! Stage 2!”
“H-hang on a second!” Sonic squirmed, but she gave him a fierce look of disapproval, and he stopped struggling, sweat dropping.
She smiled, “3…4….5! Okay! Act 3!”
“Amy, isn’t this a little mu-”
He paused.
His eyes widened.
Her forehead touched his.
This was probably the closest he had ever been to her… or even another girl for that matter.
Suddenly his mouth opened as his brain started connecting the dots of what was happening…
And what the next Stage may be…
“4…5! Okay! Last Stage!” Amy suddenly lost her smile.
Her eyes fluttered a moment before she looked away.
“…S-so… Act 3′s stage 2 is um… you have to um…” she closed her eyes, thinking it unfair to have their first… well, kiss like this, so she switched directions.
She leaned her cheek up to him, and closed her eyes, blushing.
“You have to kiss my cheek and hold it for 5 seconds.”
Now Sonic was mute.
His body bristled up with his quills as he shook, his hands moving off of her and his face looking horrified.
This was her big plan!?
They had been hanging out more lately, that’s true, but just because he was starting to date her doesn’t mean…
He looked away, his mind working through what was happening before she blinked one eye open.
She looked away, as if disappointed, before up with a slight sweat mark to the side of her face, as if nervous that if she let him off the hook now, she may never ‘condition’ him into being more intimate with her…
“Y-..You j-j-just have to do it for 5 seconds. Tops.” she closed her eyes again. “It… it’s not bad! Honest! You’ll see…” she waited, as he looked back at her.
the wind was suddenly chilly, and she didn’t like this feeling…
This was wrong,… she shouldn’t do this.
“On second thought…” she was about to give in, before shaking her head and forcing herself to show no mercy!
“Emm-emm! I’m not giving up! I’ll go first!” she put her hands up by her face, being strong, kissed him with a bit of force by his cheek.
His mouth suddenly swished to the middle of his face, as a heat rose up to his face but no color showed this sensation.
He suddenly was about to speed off, but his legs were trapped under where she was leaning over him to perform this ‘stage’ as she called it.
She leaned away, smiling then.
“Okay, now you’re turn.”
There was a second of silence, before he slowly moved a leg up.
“Ah..” she saw what he was attempting to do.
“NOOO!!!” she leaped before he could fully race away, and grabbed his leg, as he struggled to crawl away.
“You have to complete the stages!!! Sonic!!!” she wasn’t going to let him out of this one!
He looked back, still squeamish before his eyes lightened to a softer look, seeing her eyes slowly fill with tears.
“Just… 5 seconds… it isn’t a lot… is there something wrong with that..?” she bent her head down, gripping the leg she had even tighter under her.
He suddenly felt a longing then, something more than to appease her….
He scooted back, and helped her up.
She wiped her tears away, sniffing.
“Am I not pretty enough or-”
He cut her off with a sweet, gentle press upon the side of her cheek. Not really much of a kiss, but his lips were on her cheek, and he held it with a trembling and shaking body.
She blinked her eyes open a few times, before he sped off.
She was thrilled! She couldn’t wait to try it again but he had left for a long time after that… even to the point she was terrified he wouldn’t come back for good now…
Bu then…
He did come back, with chilidogs for them.
They spent every date doing different things but the routine carried.
At the beach, before telling her goodbye, he would awkwardly prepare himself and go through each stage, almost hastily, against Amy’s liking…
At the park, he freely held her hand and Amy stated it could count for the first stage, but he held it much longer than 5 seconds…
Another day, they went to twinkle park, and he felt too embarrassed to go through the last few acts with people all around them… so they went behind a booth, the lights of the ferriswheel beside them, and for the first time, he kissed her cheek without delay.
A few adventures meant they couldn’t spend time together for a while… but then…
“Okay! Last stage and I’ll see you again!” Amy, happily already in his arms from the last few acts, leaned up and kissed his cheek.
One eye squinted down, but his smile didn’t fade…
That was different.
“Good night~” she chimed, before leaning her head up and closing her eyes, waiting for the usual soft, and sweet peck on the cheek before they parted…
Suddenly, she felt a hand on the side of her face.
“Huh?”
She opened her eyes just enough to see him staring at her, a look that she had never seen before.
“..E…Eh?” she was a little takenback, before he pulled her closer to him, her body against his as suddenly the night air wasn’t so chilly anymore.
“Son…ic..?”
He leaned into her unexpecting expression… and their first kiss lasted innocently, about.. from what Amy remembers when she started counting, at least 6 seconds or more…
He pulled away, “Night, Amy.” he didn’t look phased… or uncomfortable… or even skittish.
It was as if…
Her little game worked.
“Sonic…” her eyes sparkled with the stars, amazed by him actually initiating the next step without her encouragement.
However…
She pouted.
She couldn’t get him to kiss her on the lips after that, he would surprise her at the end of some ‘get togethers’ by doing so, but it was always when she was caught off-guard or didn’t think he would it.
One of these days,.. she wanted to catch it and make it last a little longer, letting a little more passion be put into it, but she figured he would take that step too… when he was ready.
Still~ The feelings and butterflies never left! And she never got tried of seeing flowers at her door, or being whisked away while she was out and about, being taken on adventure after adventure.
Then… at last… when the last stage came again, she took courage and kissed him first, not on the cheek this time, and attempted to hold it longer and explore more.
She suddenly felt him tense and move away, and was worried her actions may have been to much then…
But to her surprise, he grinned.
“Well.. You’ve moved on to a completely different zone.” he smirked, and suddenly she realized something.
She hadn’t told him the next zone!
“Alright, Amy. I’ll play.” he stepped up, not shying away as he had once in the past done so many times.
“But… these are my rules now.” he gave her a little look in his eye before pulling her into ‘his turn’.
She didn’t know what was really happening besides the fact that they were going to find a whole new world…
Together.

Prompt:
Amy saw Sonic had run far up the hillside, away from everyone, staring down at the earth in quiet pain.
She knew this wasn’t easy for him… Everything bad about him being exposed so openly like that… especially against his will…
She knew he needed someone… but after everything that happened…
She found herself already standing behind him, reaching a hand out, before withdrawing it back and seeming to not be sure if he would even want her company in this.
But then, as she looked down and away, her hands together, she saw a slight miracle.
He gestured his hand back to her, as if wanting to hold her own.
Her mouth formed a beautiful open smile, as she returned the gesture and placed her hand in his, feeling how carefully he held it, before giving it a normal but firm squeeze to keep it there.
She walked up happily, hugging the rest of his arm, though she knew this was hard for him to ask for help.
“… I’m sorry. I don’t mean to bring everyone down like this.” he closed his eyes. “I’m just… I don’t feel I’m anyone’s hero.”
Amy looked confused on that, looking down before putting her head to his shoulder, and then looking at the sky, seeming to think about an idea she just had.
“…Come on.” she happily stepped forward, spinning around and tugging him along with both hands to his one now. “Hehe~ It’s too nice of a day to miss!”
He wasn’t sure what she was getting at here, but followed her into the woods.
It was suddenly night, as Amy walked into a small lake with a medium-sized waterfall, a very gentle, serene picture of nature all around them.
She turned around, smiling and tilting her head to him, as if saying, ‘be right back!’.
She dived in and swam far beneath the surface, as Sonic leaned over to look into the clear water, but because of the darkness, could only see things shining at the bottom.
When she emerged, Sonic couldn’t help but stare in curiosity, as she swam out, grinning confidently.
She was soaking wet, but it gave her dress the flowing effect of showing off her curves, not just sticking up straight in a hoop like it usually did.
“Here! I found this on one of my walks before!”
He was kinda disappointed to see a rock in her hands, but took it and held it up, trying to see something about it that he hadn’t upon first looks. “What’s so special about it?” he kept turning it in his hands, before Amy giggled and motioned her own up, stopping his hand from moving as he looked behind his shoulder, seeing how close she was, before back up at the rock as she explained.
“There are two sides to this world.”
She held the rock down, as it became fully black in shadows.
Sonic raised an eyebrow, “Are you going philosophical on me, now? How does this help?”
“Shh, shh, shh! Let me finish.” Amy lightly scolded, winking to him to show she wasn’t all that mad as he bounced a moment in place back to the rock, looking impatient and unmotivated to learn anything anymore.
He had spent the remainder of the day with her, so deciding to listen to her ramblings wouldn’t do him any harm.
He had already come this far, and she got all wet for him, so…
“But it can also be full of too much light.” Amy lifted the stone up, as it reflected the moon brightly, but for a second, Sonic saw something blue.
He narrowed his eyes, his interest peaking again as he lowered it slowly down.
There, in the reflection, was his face.
He looked shocked at seeing it, as Amy lowered her hands and examined his expression on his face, before giggling as she looked to him.
“But what we must learn, is that in this life, there is a sweet and perfect balance of each. And that’s where we find ourselves. Sometimes, our vision is either blinded by all the expectations were rising ourselves up too.” she watched as Sonic immediately tilted the stone up, showing the brightness of the light.
She smiled, glad he was catching on.
“And sometimes… we lower ourselves down to the point where we don’t reach our full potentials..” Sonic suddenly spoke, tilting the stone down as he saw his face flash a moment in the ‘sweet spot’ before going totally pitch black.
He stared at it a moment, as Amy watched him, seeing the thoughts connect and the object lesson working.
He lowered the stone down and stared off into the woods, but she knew he was just deeply thinking about what her little lesson meant.
“…Sonic? Do you see now?” She moved to the side of him, holding herself as she got a little cold.
“…Yes. I know what I need to do.” he looked down at the rock, tilting it around a bit. “I need to find myself again. The real me. The me that’s… more than a loser… and less than a perfect hero.” he adjusted it till he saw his face, seeing it for the first time his own reflection in a long time.
“I forgot… who I really am.” he squeezed it tight, looking up as Amy nodded, happy he understood, and held her hands behind herself, letting her wet dress swish back and forth on her body, spraying some droplets everywhere.
“Hehehe~”
“Thank you.” he nodded politely to her. “I appreciate it.”
The calm in his voice gave her reassurance that he would be alright now, but then she shivered, cold from her little venture.
“Eh-heh. I’m glad. Brr… I probably shouldn’t have done that so late at night though..” she tried to grin and bear it, rubbing her arms before she was surprised to see his arms move over her.
“Woah! You’re cold to the bone!” he admitted, seeming shocked by that before picking her up bridal style, putting the stone away first, tucked into his quills.
“Come on, let’s get you warmed up.” with the sound of her true hero finally back to his old self, Amy closed her eyes and leaned her head against his chest, letting him wind-shield her a bit as he took off back to Tails’s workshop.
The next few days, Amy could see out of the corner of her eye, in the middle of fighting Eggman’s newest schemes, him hold out the rock, and tilt it around, smiling at the little mirror every time he saw his reflection.
She would smile, glad she could truly help him.
A long time after that, they were walking down a street, hearing Shadow had gone rogue, again. Apparently, he wanted to meet Sonic there, but Amy wouldn’t let him go face Shadow alone, not without some backup!
“I’m strong, independent, and I while your playing hero- I can play hero’s aid!” she held up her fists, looking pumped, before putting a finger over her mouth. “But I’ll stay silent, promise!”
“Amy…” Sonic sweat dropped, not liking the company on something that could be potentially dangerous.
He stopped, putting his hands on his hips, giving her a look. “Aren’t you the one always getting into trouble though?”
“Hmph!” she lowered her fist and puffed up her cheeks, not liking his little comment. “I’m older now, Sonic! I can handle myself, and be my own hero if I have to be!”
He frowned at that comment, watching her walk off with a haughty strike and holding her head high as she did so.
He smirked though, seeing something on the ground she didn’t, and walked behind her, with a bit of a skip in his step.
“I suppose someone so… resourceful, could just take on Shadow alone then, huh?”
“Hehe~ If you’d let me-AHHH!!”
Amy fell straight through a manhole.
Sonic peered down, leaning a bit with an amused open-grin on his face.
“Offph!”
“You alright down there?”
“Rah! YOU KNEW THAT WAS THERE! Rrr… Get me out!”
He laughed, gripping his stomach before rolling his eyes and walking on. “Let’s see you get out of there without a hero.”
“S-Sonic?! H-hey! You’re not just gonna leave me down here, are you!? Eww..” Amy tried to move her feet around, before looking sorrowful, and calling out.
“Sonic! I’ll always need you!”
He stopped walking, pausing a moment…
He seemed to be hiding the fact that he was very hurt by her last statement… and catching onto that to late, she realized she needed to make amends.
“Sonic… A hero is more than just someone who rescues the girl from.. .from outside forces!” She gestured around herself, but was being sincere as she looked up at the light.
Sonic scanned the ground, but was listening.
“Sometimes… a hero can… no.” she shook her head, holding her hands to her heart. “Needs to save the girl from the dangers within herself…” she waited, looking up and trying to see around where she could, even if that was limited.
“Sonic?”
She didn’t see anything.
Glaring, she figured she’d have to do this herself, and tried to climb up, before throwing her hammer up and trying to ring it around the edge.
After a few hits, she suddenly started to slip, before two hands grabbed onto her hammer, Sonic looking over and down to her, taking a deep breath as their eyes met.
She was amazed to see him still around, but glad he stuck around.
She smiled, as he tightened his frown and pulled her up.
“You… you came back.” Amy huffed on the ground, as he made sure she was alright, before leaning up and looking away.
“Sometimes… it’s good to hear you’re still wanted.” he admitted his sore feelings on the matter, before helping her up pointing to a corner.
“Hide behind there. Don’t come out unless I give you the signal too, alright?”
He looked over his shoulder, giving her a thumbs up, as she was still a bit bitter about his actions.
She frowned, but sighed when she realized she needed to be a bit more careful about how he was feeling these past few weeks, and nodded.
He still wanted to be a hero.. to at least somebody. And she had to be sensitive to the fact that he only wanted to keep her safe.
She hid and peeked around the corner, nodding to him, before seeing him step out where Shadow had instructed, and pull out the rock.
She gasped.
He had kept it?
He looked it in, tilting it to where the sun’s light and his face combined, and revealed the hidden beauty of the crystals in the rock, giving the illusion of a mirror.
He smiled.
Sometimes… your true worth is hidden within the eye of what you’re using to look at yourself with as well.
Amy’s eye… to him, was what the rock represented. And she saw great worth in him… and with that worth almost insulted, he squeezed the rock to remember that still to her…
He was her hero. No matter what!

Sonamy boom 14? :)
This fits them, huh?
Prompt:
It was a rainy day, to say the least, and unlike her usual prepared habits, Amy was stuck under a tree’s canopy, bundled in a blanket and trying to read a book with a lantern on.
She had gotten so absorbed in a lore about real places on the island, and what artifacts may still remain there from those stories, that she spent all day looking around for any clues on where remains of some of these objects in the lores might be.
She shivered, the blanket not much against the wind.
She pulled the lantern into the blanket, a bad idea, but she didn’t have anymore matches…
She lowered her head into the warmth…
All felt tolerable for a moment, except her back, until the wind blew so harsh that her blanket flung up and the lantern was blown out.
“Wha!? UGH.” she spread her arms out, getting a look at the empty lantern, before flinging her head up.
“Noooo-ho-ho-ho… not me.” She whined, before snapping herself out of it. “Get a grip of yourself, Amy!” she shook her head, and threw her blanket off of herself, getting up on one knee. “You are Amy Rose The Hedgehog! You aren’t afraid of mere windchills and storms! You’ve got skin as tough as leather! A heart of gold~ A free spirit with a pure soul~ A-”
Lightning crashed.
“HEY! I was givin’ myself a pep-talk here!” she threw her arms down and scolded the lightning.
Ironically enough, the lightning moved farther away.
“Hmph.” she snuffed some air out of her nos, annoyed, before trekking onward.
There’s a small montage of her climbing muddy hills, storming the rain with her blanket, and wiping some sweat from her brow till she reached a wooden entrance in front of a structure made into a hill.
She peered in, unsure, but when the lightning struck again, she gasped and ran in.
“I’m not scared! I’m not scared!” she repeated to herself, before leaning up against the dirt-wall.
“I’m just not used to outdoor slumberparties…” she frowned, as if holding in her regret at taking this journey.
“Ohh… I wish the gang were here.” she hated doing things on her own for too long. She enjoyed greatly her friends company.
She sighed and walked further in, “At least there’s no wind here…
A howl was heard, and she fidgeted.
“Oookay. Maybe some wind passing by…” she gulped, before summoning her hammer and turning her on her glow-in-the-dark suit.
She walked on before turning the outfit off once seeing some faint light above.
“Hello?” she put her blanket down to her shoulders, not needing to cover her head anymore. “W..woah..” she looked around, “It’s an ancient aqueduct!”
She spread her arms out and spun, seeing she was walking on old water trails, and bent down to investigate.
Growing excited, she noticed the lights around her were huddled fireflies.
They were feeding off of a beautiful, but unkept garden that Amy supposed purified the water somehow…
“Wow… those ancients don’t kid around.” she put her hammer to her side, letting her guard down as she sniffed one flower…
“Ack!”
She dropped her hammer, having it bounce as it dropped.
She gripped her throat. “What… what’s going on…?”
The fireflies all swarmed her, spinning around in a now frightening, yellow glitter show as she felt her whole being was getting dizzy as they spun around her, and her consciousness slipped…
When she woke up, or at least, thought she did, she noticed there was now free flowing water where she lay.
“AH!” she immediately got up, and looked around herself. “What on earth..?”
“Ah, so you awaken?”
Amy turned to see the figure in front of her.
A man stood, very tall, must be fully matured, stood with a cubed glass full of fireflies, before closing the door and turning to her.
His nose poke out over his brown hoodie, and he smiled to her.
“Welcome to the Ancient Spirit Conduction Ceremony. I’m guessing you came from the realm of the living?”
Amy’s jaw dropped.
“…It’s… It’s not an aqueduct?”
The figure folded his arms, something she recognized but didn’t know how she could, and looked up a moment, his face still completely hidden.
“Hmm.. That too.” he nodded, smiling, before putting the glassed cube down with the fireflies.
He moved over to her, and gestured his hand out to her, offering assistance on getting up.
“Don’t worry. I’ll explain then.”
She nodded, and took his hand, blushing slightly as his exquisite manners.
“This ceremony is for the future to speak to the wise spirits long gone from this world…” he lightly let go of her hand, and walked away, gesturing to the images on the walls.
“Huh. And those flowers..?” Amy raised an eyebrow, walking over to the wall to try and translate it, skimming her fingers on it.
“Part of the ceremony.” His fingers traced up to hers.
She fidgeted, and looked up at him as he looked down at her.
They both awkwardly turned away, clearing their throats and adjusting themselves.
“So… you happened to come by when I was traveling in this realm. I’m actually here for knowledge. At the current time I’m in, I’m actually alive.” he stated, readjusting his hoodie. “I need some help on something… I’m not so good at.”
“Oh? I would love to learn more about your time! Maybe we do a… kinda trade off!” Amy held a finger up, as he turned and nodded.
“Sounds good. It’s amazing your a woman though. I think you may be able to help me more…” he scratched the back of his head.
“H-huh?”
A moment later….~
Amy gasped.
“You have a crush on someone!?”
“A friend! Partner, actually…” he held up his hands, before letting them drop on his knees and looking away, a small sweat drop on the side of his face. “We’ve known each other for a long time now… but I’m more skilled in adventuring then wooing.” he sighed.
“I haven’t been able to admit that to anyone in my world… it’s kinda nice… this place.” he looked around, “I feel I can say my darkest secrets and get away with it.” he grinned wildly, as Amy couldn’t help but feel that was familiar too… somehow…
She tilted her head. “Hmm… well, is she an adventurer too?”
“Why yes!” he grew excited, turning back to her. “She’s a very fierce warrior! Which makes it all the more awkward because one false move and I’m sure to be done in for the rest of time.” he drooped his head down.
“You see my dilemma…”
“Hmm…” Amy tapped her finger to her chin, thinking… “Well, first things first.” she adjusted herself, and looked up at him. “Do you love her or what?”
He freaked out, and stood up tall and straight, “H-how bold of you to ask that so suddenly!”
“Aww, you’re freak out says everything. Sit down, sit down~” she coaxed him down with a fanning of her hand, swooning over how charming he was in his emotions being exposed, before he reluctantly did take a seat next to her again, acting like a child as he put his hands to his pushed in feet, and looked away.
“Is your time really this… forward about this topic?” He inquired.
“No. But I like making you squirm~” she grinned tauntingly up to him.
“Ack! A she-demon!” he muttered to himself. “You clearly must have men fleeing from you.”
She twitched in a moment of anger.
She shifted over to look proper and polite. “Now then, treat me as your friend, and try and flirt with me.” she batted her eyes, letting the comment go for his sake.
He seemed to blush under that cape.
“Now that I think about it.. you actually resemble her quite a lot…”
“What was that?” Amy blinked.
“O-oh! Nothing! Ehem. I shall attempt at, how did you say it..? A moment ago just now… ah! ‘chatting you up’! that was it.” he nodded, and pumped his fist into the palm of his other hand, getting pumped.
“How is your training going?”
“Training? No, no, no.” Amy put a hand to her temples and the other shaking in front of her. “Try something she likes. Compliment her.” Amy grinned, then went back to acting like she was doing something else.
“…Ehem.” he gulped, trying again. “…You… You seem to look.. em.. radiant in the light…”
“…Better.” Amy encouraged him on. “The light of what?”
“…Day?” He shrugged, “I’m clearly not the best with words.”
“That’s okay. Try actions then. Show her you care~” Amy placed a hand on her heart.
“…Very well…” he looked down, and then scanned the room.
He sped over quickly, like a blur of blue, but there was so much wind he picked up that Amy couldn’t see the color as she hid her eyes.
She coughed at the water spraying up, before he sat back down.
“Open your eyes!”
She did so, hearing how excited he was.
He held a flower up to her face.
She flinched back.
“W-what? Is it hideous!?” he looked worried.
“N-no. It’s just… the last time I saw that flower it brought me here.” Amy sweat dropped, as he looked down at it, and scratched behind his head.
“My apologies. I completely forgot of that matter.” he placed the flower down and sighed.
“You know… something inside me tells me I’ll never be able to form the right words or make the smoothest approach at ever creating such a bond with her.” His hopeless tone broke Amy’s heart.
“Don’t you DARE say that!”
“Ah! M-Miss!”
She had thrust herself forward, holding her hands to his shoulders, as he bent back, nervous at the closeness.
“Just follow your heart! If she can see your trying, then you never need to actually say it! She’ll feel it. In her own heart.” Amy moved back and tapped where her heart was.
He blinked, listening…
“Heart’s have their own language. Just like you have your own kind of writing than my time. We have our own way of speaking, though it’s amazing I can understand you… actually, now that I think about it… didn’t you mention this place spoke with the ‘soul’ and not the ‘mind’? It’s the same thing!”
He saw how earnest she was for his sake, and warmly smiled, before nodding to her. “Do you have someone you also fancy? Miss Rose?”
She blushed slightly, and looked away.
“Well… I … Um…”
“I see.” He nodded, looking down, before getting up. “In that case. I shall also wish you luck. Though we may never admit it… it seems our hearts are wiser than any spiritual ritual of old and aging minds could ever discuss together.” he placed a hand on his hip, standing proudly.
“As a hero.. I need to save not only my realm, but also my heart from whatever travesty I may conduct upon it.” he lowered his hand to her, and she graciously accepted it again. “Thank you, Miss Rose. I shall attempt to ‘chat her up’ again, as it were. You have given me the confidence to try.”
He then rubbed his head. “Even.. if the consequences may hurt just a bit if I fail.” he smiled sheepishly.
“That good of a wallop, huh?” Amy laughed.
“Well, yes.”
Amy giggled, seeing he was leaving, and getting back to where she was.
“Her hammer is the quite the evasive weaponry.”
Amy’s hand held frozen by her side.
“Sorry. What I mean by that is…”
He turned around, smiling.
“She tends to avoid her own heart sometimes. I’m not sure why.”
Amy held her heart.
“Wait!” He took off his hoodie as she turned around, and her eyes widened at the striking blue quills, as he turned to wave her off.
“Good luck! Amy Rose!”
The vision faded and Amy woke up to pollen all over the air.
“A… a hallucination?” she shook her head, getting up. “I’ve gotta study these plants!” she took out a bottle and was careful to hold her breath as she plucked one from it’s ancient wall-slot, and then quickly took off, seeing the storm was over.
While heading back, a blue streak passed by, and Sonic quickly about-faced to greet her.
“Ames! Long time no see!” he waved, walking beside her.
She looked to him.
She tends to avoid her own heart sometimes. I’m not sure why.
“I was wondering when you got back. Any luck?” he smiled.
I shall attempt to ‘chat her up’ again, as it were. You have given me the confidence to try.
She grew shy, and looked down. “..Sonic?”
“Hmm?” he blinked in innocence. “What’s up?”
“…I think… I like how you ‘chat’ with me.” she gave him a pleasant smile.
He froze suddenly, his quills spiking up.
“W-wh-what gave you that-!? I mean,” he shook his head, growing flustered. “I just said hi!” he admitted.
“I know. And I’m happy you did!” she chimed, before walking off, holding her head high, trying to fight off the shyness of it all.
Even.. if the consequences may hurt just a bit if I fail.
“You’ll never fail to make me smile, Sonic! Haha!” she tilted her head forward.
She was beautiful.
Sonic stared, as if shock at fully come over him.
“..Hey, if you ever want to say anything important to me… you know I would be fine hearing it right?”
She couldn’t read his next expression, and just grew nervous again.
“W-we-well, I enjoyed this little conversation, b-b-but I have some research to do! Lov-I-I MEAN! I-I do love you as a friend and everything but what I truly meant to say was-s-s….” she was too nervous, starting to falter before looking back up at him. “…S-see ya!” she bolted with a stream of dust behind her.
“THAT WAS THE STUPIDEST THING I’VE EVER DOOOONE!!!!” Amy scream to herself, crying at her horrible awkwardness.
Sonic just continued to stare in amazement, before his body finally reacted and he blinked his eyes, then freaked out, pressing his two hands against his head.
“HOW DID SHE READ MY MIND!?!?!?” he shouted out in total hysteria.

I know you said you've done some stuff with Villain!Amy, but wondering if maybe you could write something of Villain!Amy flirting with Sonic? I think it'd be interesting. (Also could you let me know what's tagged for Villain!Amy prompts so I can find them. Thank you!)
It wasn’t a prompt, it was a fanfiction, season 2 of Sonic Supers features ‘Dark Chaos’ the negative energy of Chaos ends up taking over Amy and possession her into a villain. Upon which, it’s like the Chaos Emeralds are rebelling against the Master Emerald, and use Amy as their ‘indirect’ rebellion pawn. Kinda suppose to be deep and dark stuff, but I’ve been trying to edit it. (Fanfiction account: Cutegirlmayra1)
As for your request, I would love too! I’ve had an idea for it, it wouldn’t quite be Amy though… but it would be using Sonic’s memories and such to mimic her a bit.
World: AU
Couple: Sonamy
Summary: -listed above-
Prompt:
After entering the forbidden forest and making his way into the cursed shrine, Sonic made his way up the stairs and looked around at all the cobwebs and ancient evidences that proved this once was a working forest shrine.
Until… a trapped sirenic spirit was imprisoned here… that is.
“What have you come for?…Stranger…”
The voice was strangely familiar, and Sonic looked around.
His communication with Tails was lost already from the thick, dense forest around him anyway. Being in the middle of almost complete wilderness, but even still, he wasn’t the least bit worried about that.
He smiled, “I hear your people stored technology here that could stop an Armageddon. Me and my buddies would like to borrow it for some time.” Sonic walked around, enjoying the feel of the place, although an eerie mist formed around the shrine’s main attraction, a decorative offering table, still lined with faded gold and having plates and bowls upon it.
The Siren spirit took form then, and grinned, her voice more apparent then. “You don’t seem to be too phased by this place.”
Now the voice was very distinct, and Sonic’s ears turned back. “Amy?” In his surprise, he turned around, seeing her but…
“What the-?”
“Heh. I take the form of whatever your heart will most likely trust… and what you can’t resist.” She had Amy’s face alright, but she looked… older, or maybe her tight dress that draped along the floor just showed off her figure better. But the accessories she wore and such… a little outdated for Amy’s tastes.
She laid slightly across the table, having offering drinks and other such stuff upon it, and having an arm to support her leaning body.
“Uhh…uh… You sure it isn’t what’s most uncomfortable?” Sonic tried a nervously smile, but sweatdropped, seeing as he’d rather not deal with this situation.
“Hm, hmm… I’m afraid once the form is chosen… it sticks.” She got up and walked with such slow elegance, her eyes locked on his. When she finally got close enough, he leaned his head back, his smile disappearing.
Something definitely didn’t feel right now.
It wasn’t he atmosphere, it was just the difference in her eyes… they didn’t have the same life in them as Amy’s did.
“What?” she shook her head, giving him a funny look. “You act as though this displeases you.”
“It’s not my friend. That’s what’s unsettling.” he tightened his lips line, as if not liking that someone was impersonating her.
“Anger builds… inside of you.” Without hesitation, she looked down at his chest and put her hands to it, spreading them out as she said those words.
He suddenly felt a paralysis, and began to shake, “W-what’s happening?!”
“Heh. Did you think you could walk into a siren’s den and make it out without even a little effort?” She teased him, before removing her hands, having him drop down and cling to his chest, breathing hard.
“Eh, but you’re not really my type.” she lied, moving away and strategizing him up. “You’ve come for my treasure… a vast assortment of which could prove useful for your plight…. However…” she put her hands to her hips, facing him from behind, and turned seductively as she dropped her eyes, moving her draped dress to the side, and grinning wickedly as he looked up in slight realization of how powerful she could be over him.
“Scary. Isn’t it?” she spoke softly. “I feed off your emotions. I… unlock them… so speak.” she looked to her fingers, and fiddled with them in the air, before withdrawing it back to her and then letting her hands trail down her figure, stopping just below her torso.
“You know… they say this power is only enhanced by how much one has previously resisted desire…”
“Heh, I can assure you. This holds nothing I would want.” Sonic tried to remain in control, going off and giving her a run for her money.
He got up, taking a deep breath, before deciding to play along.
“I’m rather the solo-bachelor myself.” he grinned, as if tempting her to try her worst.
Her eyes widened at his play, not really a flirt, but as if he was enticing her to take her best shot.
This excited her.
He folded his arms, and gave her a confident look.
She moved back over, and watched as his look shifted into caution, his eyes shifting to see if her arms were going to paralysis him again or not, and getting ready to move at any moment.
“My… you must have little to no experience in love… if you think that little taunts can sway a woman’s charm from a man’s eye… heh, well, maybe you’re just trying to convince yourself of that.” she came dangerously close, but he held his ground, leaning back again, before this time she simply flicked her head up, closing her eyes as she did so before opening to see his reaction.
It was a simple show of how Sonic was defenseless to really keep her away, and how she could have power to look, ‘good’ even if he tried to convince himself otherwise.
“You’re not as strong as you think you are, hero.” she lowered her eyes, and attempted to move closer.
“I’m not here to talk about me.” Sonic bristly moved, not taking any nonsense, and turning away from his usual tactics of personal charm to now just getting the job done and getting out.
“Freedom is always fleeting.” she vaporized into mist, soaring through the ground like a swaying snake, before materializing back into Amy’s form, and holding him intimately. “I could help you get the treasure… but you’ll have to help me~” she cooed, as he reacted slightly to the shock of her just appearing in front of him, holding his hands out.
He glared, and pulled her off. “I’m not game for manipulation.” he narrowed his eyes, and moved her to the side, tapping her shoulders and giving her a tilt of his head, clicking his tongue as if saying, ‘tough luck!’.
He continued his way to the offering table, a round decorative stone that matched the rest of the white, pearly shrine, before looking around it.
She disappeared in mist after another deadly expression of sinister intent spread across her face, before reappearing leaning up against a pillar in his peripheral vision.
“My, is this rejection? The more you resist the more your heart will long… Oh, shame. If you don’t want to show your affections to your sweetheart… then at least play along with a wildcard.” Her actions near the pillar were mostly just gracing it with her fingers, pushing up against it, and then moving around it as if playing coy.
Sonic couldn’t help but stare at first, something pulling him, but he quickly blinked his eyes and shook his head, looking cautiously to the ground, seeming confused at why her actions interested him any.
He didn’t answer and kept working to look for anything that could help him find a way further in.
“Hee-hee!” she distinctively mimicked Amy’s laugh, and stood in front of the pillar, having her hands behind her, and leaning her head back to it.
Sonic’s head shot up, and he quickly looked back in annoyance.
“Stop it.”
“Was that a threat?”
“I don’t fall for phonies.”
“Oh, but you do fall for something.”
He jolted, and she grinned as she walked with a dance-like step in her feet, moving her flowy but tight dresses ends with her arms, and moving towards a gap between the back of the offering table.
“Not particularly.” he glared, not liking her continuing her act after he made it clear he didn’t want to engage her any further.
“Are you really so chivalrous that cheating leaves a sour taste in your mouth?”
“Considering you seem to know nothing about the person you’ve formed into, you obviously know even less about me, which means-” he turned to her finally, directly addressing her. “You can’t tell.” It was a little comforting to know she seemed to know very little about Amy or even himself, and that could help him see through her alluring illusion of her.
“…Amy?”
He closed his eyes and clenched his teeth and fists.
Shoot! He had given her her name back when he first heard her voice!
“But those shouldn’t matter..” she walked to the back wall, placing a hand on it, “Beauty trumps all other passions…” she spoke this as if it was a cruel fact of nature. “Even valor.”
“Not this time.”
“Heh. What manner of man are you then?”
“I’m just Sonic.”
“A hero?”
“A guy who loves adventure.”
“What greater adventure than this!”
“I’m trying too, sincerely, but you’re not helping.” he referred to searching for the technology, but she clearly meant another route…
Concluding he was only interested in progressing forward, she let out a little steam from her nose, much in the same element as her mist, and walked towards one of two lanterns on either side of the other walls across from each other, facing the other.
“If you light these two lanterns, I’ll surrender.” she cutely changed her approach, not even coming near him, as he turned to look at the two objects on the walls in question.
He raised an eyebrow. “Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not stupid. I know you caused some trouble in the past, and that’s why they trapped you in this ruined place.”
Her face shifted to disappointment, pouting. “I wasn’t that bad…”
He glared her way, turning his head slightly, showing he didn’t believe her.
“..I was wonderfully good at it…” she flirted, but almost in a dangerous tone.
“Heh.” Sonic turned, rubbing his head. “Not in that form, you’re not.”
She smirked, seeing him take more notice of her now that a hint to getting further into the shrine was given, and turned to mist, slithering to him before twirling back into her form as he moved to another section of the room. “I could show you what this form can do…” she lightly put her arm to his, and her hand to his shoulder, before he dashed out of her grasp, and gave her another warning look, before continuing to search.
“…It’s honestly beyond the two lanterns.” she rolled her eyes, and started to lift her hair up with her arms.
“Huh?” Sonic quickly looked to her, but soon figured out he couldn’t trust her expression and turned to the lanterns.
When she noticed his quick dismissal of her looks, she puffed another frustrated grunt, and continued to try and allure him to paying more attention to her.
“It was sealed away when they trapped me here… it’s what holds me in. So if you want it… you’ll have to get through me.”
She materialized over the wall between the two lanterns, and sprawled in the air against it. “Oh, Sonic. If your a real hero, you’d save me!” she perfectly projected in Amy’s tone of voice, her latter tone more deeper and seductive but still in Amy’s voice. This time, it was very much like she was mocking him by mocking Amy.
“Quit it! I mean it.” Sonic took a stance, and held his fist out, biting down on his teeth, getting more annoyed now.
He wasn’t at all realizing how much hearing Amy’s voice was affecting his want to help her, nor how it made him feel to hear it calling out his name…
She floated down and moved closer to him, touching his chest before he could react, and having her mist slowly begin to engulf him.
He felt his breath leaving him, and his body unable to move again.
“You know… you’re only making my power stronger by not giving in already…” She moved closer, whispering up to his lips. “Help me… and I’ll help you.” she tilted her head, looking at his mouth but then back up at his eyes, and moving away.
His body once again fell to his knees, and he gasped as the mist kept surrounding him, moving over him as he shook his body. “Stop it!!”
“The mist is cool… and yet warm… isn’t it?” she got wicked pleasure out of testing his will, having pride in her siren ways, she wanted him to come to her…
She suddenly got him to advance, moving swiftly all of a sudden, and darted at her, and in surprise, she cried out in what sounded monstrous, losing Amy’s light voice.
The shriek was obviously from her true sound, and it sounded hideous, as Sonic held his hand tightly around her throat up against the wall, as he breathed heavily, and moved his head right up next to hers.
“Swear to me you’re telling the truth… and loose my friend’s form… and I’ll light the lanterns.”
“How…” she looked genuinely shocked, and afraid. “How are you resisting me!?”
“…You really want to know?” Sonic finally smiled, but this time, in a quick and cruel way. “Practice. Amy’s a terrible flirt, but when I see you with her face, I don’t see her. I only see a woman trying to be her. And failing miserably.”
He felt the mist and quickly looked at his back.
“Call off whatever you’re trying to do. I feel my body. I know what you’re after. But it’s pointless. I don’t fall for cheap gimmicks.”
She smiled quickly, matching his cruelty, and feeling the offense of what he meant by ‘cheap’.
Seeing as her attempts were getting her no where, and he wasn’t acting like an average man… Her mist, which caused the sensation of love and passion of touch, was pulled away from him, disappearing as he let her throat go.
“Good. Seems we’ve come to an accord.” he fakely grinned, before he moved away and shook off his body.
“Half an accord… I told you, I can’t change my form.” she pouted cutely, seeming to have not really been hurt by his grip. “I’m not lying…” she finally stated, and looking at her, deciding to believe her expression, he consented to at least that she was being honest.
“Now…Tell me how you resisted both my paralysis and mist.” She looked serious.
“Heh. You may sound like Amy, but you don’t smell like her.” He adjusted his glove on his hand, shaking it free from her trying to paralysis him again.
His hand was numb, but it hadn’t spread through his whole body like her last touch did. She seemed to control when she could do that or not…
“What does that even mean!?” she shouted out, her beast-like voice breaking through Amy’s sound again in her fury.
“The real question is, if my friend is what you were trying to allure me with, why didn’t you act like her? Or can you only mimic what my heart shows? Isn’t that where you’re getting this all from? Or from my mind?” He noticed her expression change. “Ah… so that explains it. It’s not my heart, but something to do with my mind… memories, maybe? What era are you looking at? Amy’s not at all like that.”
“Heh. Don’t think so hard about it. I’ve never met a man with such a strong will… maybe you are my type.” she flirted again, moving her head as he turned away.
He was strong, but he wasn’t going to be too cocky, not when he knew she probably had other tricks up her sleeve…
“My friend’s a good person… You clearly had other things in mind.” he faced away from her, before looking to the two lanterns.
“…So that’s it.” She smiled and closed her eyes, seeming to give into defeat. “It’s not her pretty face or even her squeaky voice… it’s her heart…” she swayed her body a moment, almost touched by her realization.
“She’s your type of style.” she cooed.
Sonic turned, his glare not as intense, before realizing her power was weakened and felt his old ways coming back.
“Sorry for the directness. I’m usually more gentler with girls. But I don’t even know if your true form has a gender.” he shrugged, comically, “But I’ve got other things to do than have you analysis me so poorly again!” he bolted off towards the forest, jumping into the forest fire Eggman’s last machine had created after exploding from Sonic’s doing, and then, while his quills were on fire, he homing-attacked the lanterns back at the shrine.
In her excitement, the siren spirit turned and bounced a little, as she saw the wall open up, part, and finally move upwards as if cement banners, and she quickly turned to mist to go within.
Sonic then dashed onto the bowls of ancient water, and sprayed as much as he could on himself, before rolling on the table, saying, “Hot! hot! hot-hot-hot!”
Inside, the siren spirit began to feel her true powers, looking up at the ancient machine that had first sealed her power away, and now having it released, she turned back to Sonic.
“If this form was hard to resist… wait till you experience all I can do..”
(Like i said, not really Amy, but using tactics that Amy would (perhaps) use to try and lure Sonic to her, if she were evil or bad intent, lol. Obviously, Sonic’s will is canonally unbreakable. He would never hurt his friend, which enabled him to first resist the siren spirit, whose true power hadn’t been released yet. I tried to keep it more in character than I thought I would… Sonic’s anger is a direct result of him fighting her abilities and feeling her trying to strip him of his freedom and will of controlling himself wasn’t exactly a ‘walk in the park’ either. I hope that was self-explanatory XD Anyway! Enjoy!)
