i need to read a fantasy romance that’s so good it rewires my whole brain and leaves me with no other choice but to rate it 5 stars despite my incorrigible nature as a stingy reviewer

#i have an option or two lined up for after i’m done with my current reads #but if those aren’t a resounding success i guess i’ll simply reread twwtadsl #i might do that anyway actually. since it’s so short and delightful #on that note i will not know peace until yi zhi dayan’s other novels get fully translated…..#i’d love some recs btw!! it can be delightfully goofy or angsty and dramatique or anything in between #the only requirement is that it fixes whatever’s wrong with me atm #also i said fantasy romance bc that’s what i’m currently in the mood for but if u have recs for historicals i’m all ears #it has to be short-ish tho. what with the thesis and all that……
