It’s that face he was dreading to look at, the eyes he still couldn’t meet. It’s as if it was yesterday when they last spoke, even though it has been a while. Still, he thinks every moment he was apart from his daughter, from his family, felt like such an eternity. “Allana.” Still he knows he didn’t need to speak. It’s how he found himself in front of her too. The force. It’s the tether that he couldn’t cut no matter how hard he tried. @tragcdysewn (allana solo)

The sound of alarms blaring played over and over his head as he stopped in his tracks. This is exactly what he was dodging from, but the sight of his aunt came too quickly to dodge. He hopes she didn’t see him, but luck never really seemed to be on his side. It was a fight or flight instance, and it would have been much easier to run away but something was stopping him from turning away. “Aunt Mara?” @mischiefmuses (mara jade)

It seemed like one or the other, that he’d find Jaina first or that she would. He wonders if she still remembered him, if she had her memories, if he’d still be a part of them, somehow somewhat, even if she lost her memories of everything else. A twin thing, he thinks, or so he hopes. Jaina’s name rings a few bells, a few alarms, but at the end of the day, she was still his sister, the one he loved dearly despite all of their bouts. Looking at her now felt like looking at her all those times ago, his heart still wrenched the same way, but the longing for someone who always understood him, Jacen, not Caedus, was more present than ever. “Jaina?” @rainbowmuses ( jaina solo )

Maybe getting a pet wasn’t such a good idea, considering pets meant needing to go on walks outside which was a place he’s been dodging altogether. He hopes that whoever Toby, his adopted four year old golden retriever as the shelter told him, bumps into would think the same thing Jacen did upon adoption, because the big pup wasn’t light whenever he bounded for anyone. “I’m really sorry. I was looking the other way for one second when his leash slipped out of my hands.” @drvcxrys (juliet capulet)

It seemed very rare for Jacen to be out in the sun, but the lack of groceries in the house made it hard not to. Still he was wary, keeping his head hung low and his eyes on the ground. Nobody needs to know we’re here. He doubts though, that his family hasn’t felt him just yet, and he’s starting to wonder when he’d end up bumping into one of them. He tries hard hoping that he doesn’t jinx it and he swears the only reason he has his hood off is because the cute kid was grinning at him and he couldn’t resist it, so here he was, the second wreck of a son of the president, making faces as he waited in line for the grocery counter. @graveycrds ( nik )

So mom’s the president, living in the most inconspicuous (not) building in this place, so she was very easy to find. Past the guards and everything who seemed ready to kick him out. But it was his dad he didn’t seem to find anywhere. He was harder to spot, after years of not being in contact with his dad, which was of course his fault, but after concentrating on looking, he finally got a lead. “D- Han Solo?” He needed to be careful, knowing better now that not everyone had their memories. @rvkybusincv (han solo)

If you find my ben, do a better job of looking out for him this time, yeah? Luke’s voice resounds in his head, and he wanted nothing for it to have been nothing more than a nightmare. Yet, it wasn’t. It felt like yesterday when he heard his uncle, his mentor telling him that, looking at him the way Luke had. Jacen knew he disappointed a lot of people, that he hurt them, but he’s lost track of who he’s hurt the most. Tenel Ka and Allana? His parents? His uncle and Ben? Jaina? Too much guilt kept weighing him down and he’s surprised he’s made it this far. It was hard to face his uncle again, but he knew he had to eventually. Maybe they could finish that conversation, so that Jacen could apologize again, and whether or not those apologies fall on deaf ears depends entirely on Luke. “Hey uncle.” @dcpravities ( luke skywalker )

Facing Nik by chance was harder than this, at least this time, he was the one actively seeking his brother. He figured it was due time until everyone found him anyway, and it was much better to try to apologize himself than be caught hiding in shame. Ben, at least he hopes, would understand. Jaina, he’d think about later. “Hey Ben.” He mumbles, eyes shaking as he diverts his gaze somewhere else. Okay, maybe it wasn’t so easy. @woundedwrldd (ben solo)

You’d think that with his more heightened senses from trying his hardest to hide, he wouldn’t be so clumsy, and yet he near bumps into someone with a cup of his new favorite terran drink, coffee, on someone. “Kriff, I’m sorry, I should have been looking where I was going.” @gambitsdesire (sophie)

It’s fear, but more so shame that had Jacen preventing himself from reaching out to his family. After everything that has happened, he knows that it was going to be hard for him to look his parents in the eyes, or to face his uncle and his siblings. He knew the pain he’s caused, but it seemed hard to run away when they were everywhere. It was a brave move, to be coming to a place with the highest security, and as he stands by the gates, ignoring the inquisitive eyes of the guards, he contemplates whether he should continue on or not. “I’m here to see my- the president. She’ll know my name.” Or not. Maybe it was better if she didn’t. @mcrcki ( leia )

jacen / what is the thing from your past you regret the most?
“the most, wow, that’s kind of a hard question honestly. turning to the dark side, turning away from my family, i guess the easiest answer is acting like my parents abandoned me when i know they tried their hardest to provide for our family. none of it was their fault. but i acted like it was, used it as an excuse.”
