🍩 - Who is Daniel's arch-nemesis/rival?

Daniel: I don't have arch-nemeses. My life is already hectic enough. Unless you count my government, but it is against me, not the other way around.

🍀 - What originally inspired Seven Seven?

This color palette!

And the fact that 7 is perfect suit collar material lol. And characters from children shows with seemingly silly superpowers that can bend reality (Umizumi I'm talking about you)

✂️ - What is one of Seraphet's worst memories?

Seraphet, physically aged 9: Hmmm... When I was eight, I really, really wanted a doggy, but my Dads didn't allow it, cuz "Messire lets you pat his dog", and "we already have Behemoth bringing in dirt and soot", and all that. So one time I saw this hellhound and I tried to pet it — it was on a leash, I thought it'd be fine — but it bit me! It hurt a lot and I cried.

Aged 17: I guess the worst time I've had was when I ran away from home at 14. I was in my rebellious phase, and it's hard to have a rebellious phase when your parents figure out solution for anything. So in the moment, I thought... Why not run away to Heaven? I really wanted to make sure Dads knew why I was leaving, so... I don't know why I told them that. I was mad attached and didn't realise. At least they didn't worry as much? Either way, I went to Uncle Samael, and he got Gabriel to get me up. And that gave me an advantage, cuz he gave me permission to be There. Otherwise I would die. But I still struggled from headaches and sore muscles, because the magic inside of me was suppressed. So I couldn't really do as much as other angels could. And I got really homesick. In the end, I lasted a week and ran back home in tears. I guess the only good thing was the Archangels telling me about Dad. Most of it I already knew, but, y'know, it was nice to hear they cared about him.

Aged 37: ... I knew this boy, when I first visited Moscow. He was a sweet kid. We played a lot and I managed to convince him that I, Dads, Behemoth, Hella and Messire were imaginary, so he didn't tell anybody else about us. I visited him every time I had the chance to. I watched him grow old, forget me... Last time I saw him, he was in his bed, barely moving. The day I stayed nearby. I held his hand. His old, bony, veiny, covered in moles, colored of clay... He went cold at night. I wished so much Samael would take him. But Gabriel came instead. And so, he said last goodbye... I cried a lot that night, holding his lonely hand.

🧠 - What do you like most about Candy Raptor?

The fact he pushed me out of my comfort zone!! I made it my goal to make an eyestrobingly bright OC, and while he's a lot more pastel than I envisioned, it's still a success to me!! And he's just a very simple guy based on me nibbling chocolate so there's that lol

Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded?

Sung-won: she came up with the name WBM herself which is an acronym and is related to astrology; they teased her about being such an astrology girlie at first but then most band members were like, oh you know what it does sound pretty dope tho! while others simply agreed reluctantly lol they had a different band name before this but i haven't come up with it and it's not that important ig

Kate: i'm honestly still undecided about their band name- i'm leaning towards Dance of the Planets which is a pretty name for planetary conjunction but tbd; regardless, i know that basically when they were initially looking for a band name at one point they heard about something cool-sounding while at school and just, absent-mindedly scribbled it in their notes. Sev saw it and thought it would be a perfect name! After Seven left the band there was brief talk about changing the name but it was quickly shut down, which, Kate was quite relieved about 😭

Songwriting: What’s their process? Is it different than it was when they used to write songs with Seven?

Sung-won: is very 'scientific' about songwriting, always was; for the vocal parts she starts by highlighting what the son's gonna say in colour-coded bullet points, then works them into actual lyrics. When Seven was there, Sungwon left her completely in charge of the vocal lyrics and only focused on her own rap parts (since that's her strong suit), but now she either works on them herself and then checks them with the band or directly co-writes w one of the others.

Kate: very Classic about songwriting, a worn-out notebook filled with doodles and lyrics and poems soon-to-be-lyrics and ink blots and coffee stains. Writes either random lines or just furiously scribbles a whole ass song fuelled by sleep deprivation and Visions lmaoo. With Seven, because they used to duet and they wanted their songs to feel like a dialogue of sort, they each wrote their own parts but they did it together so they could confront and make sure it was a cohesive song. After Seven left, songwriting turned from something Kate really enjoyed to an emotional outlet, and something they like to do on their own. The process didn't really change, just their mindset, and the fact that they stopped writing about love altogether because they could only write about Seven (well, they have a Bunch of will-never-see-the-light-of-day love songs in their notes, they just don't share with the band lol); there's a couple of love songs in their current repertoire but those were all written by other band members.

Hero: What is their favourite thing about G? Why is your MC such a big fan?

Sung-won: initially, it's an aspirational crush. G is everything Sungwon wants to be, and just the musical innovation, stage presence, charisma, talent, that's what get her attention! I want to see how the story develops for myself before making Assumptions but I feel like eventually what will get her will be G's sensibility and fragility? Not in "I can fix you" way, just, "Let me love you" way lol

Kate: oh for Kate it was 100% about the music and what G gave to the music world. And I'm not sure if it'll be a possibility but I do feel like they will possibly feel disappointed meeting the 'real' G Reign...

this part was really funny to me when i wrote it because i was like “hmm reasons for DHM to understand why HHJ wouldn’t work in the guild” and then i was like Wait. Their Whole First Meeting, Dude. DHM was lowkey convinced for the longest time that HHJ was like, on the run from the KR version of the mafia, and got plastic surgery to look like his little brothers, and is possibly in some sort of witness protection program??? or something??? how else does he not have cops on his ass this man is so suspicious all the time

Epic Burnout Man makes a reappearance! when translating sclass one of the things that makes me want to shake HYJ most is his habit of constantly adding things to his to-do list while he already has 1 billion things on his plate. and all the time he’s whining about “UGH there’s SO MUCH WORK to do” No One Asked You To Do It

things the brothers have learned in four years living together: getting confrontational often leads to arguments that just fizzle out anyway, so it’s way fucking easier to consciously tone down their combativeness in advance when talking to each other about things they have problems with, instead of screaming their heads off and then having to calm yoohyun down afterwards to boot

“I guess. Whatever.” Yoojin slumps. “Can I…” “Hm?” Hyunjae blinks at Yoojin as he gestures to the spot on the bed beside him, then jolts. “Oh! Yeah, sure, c’mere.” He opens his arms, and Yoojin goes over and flumps on the bed, head in Hyunjae’s lap. Almost immediately, Hyunjae starts stroking fingers through his hair, and Yoojin relaxes into the touch, listening as Hyunjae continues speaking.
