The Assistant - Travis Kelce Pt. 5
Kelce x Reader
Word Count: ehh, not sure
Summary: ...
Tumblr media
You've been staying with Travis for a week and a half. You weren't originally planning on staying this long, but Travis got you to agree to staying just 3 days and then he upped it to a week and now you've agreed to stay with him until you can start walking again.
You've still been working as his assistant, but only doing around 1/3 of your original duties. Even though Travis lived in a huge house, you were starting to get tired of being pent up.
You were used to constantly being busy, whether you were doing something for Travis or something for yourself. You weren't used to having this much free time and it was starting to get to you.
Maria walked into the living room, "Do you need anything sweetie? I'm going to start cleaning upstairs."
"No, I'm okay. Thank you Maria." Maria was Travis's maid and the one of the sweetest ladies on earth. Travis asked Maria to stay with you full time when he was at practice, since he wasn't comfortable leaving you alone.
She was constantly checking in on you making sure you didn't need anything.
You threw the book you were reading onto the couch, not even bothering to mark where you left off. It's not like you were far, considering you couldn't make it past the 4th page.
This was the 5th book you had read since staying at Travis's and although you were a fan of reading you couldn't find it in yourself to read anything today. You tried watching a show earlier, but even that was boring. So was tik tok and every other social media app.
You'd finished a puzzle Travis had in his house, realizing you were not a fan of puzzles.
You felt stupid for being bored in a house with endless things to do, but you just weren't used to being so still, you were a busy body.
Travis was due to be home in an hour and then Maria would be going home, you liked when Travis was here. He was pretty fun to hang out with and he would tell you about his practice and different things he would learn about his teammates.
But today you were kinda dreading talking to him. You had been waiting for your bill from the hospital to come, but it still hand't. You were having your neighbor check for you and she hadn't seen anything in your mail, from the hospital.
You decided to call up there today, only to find out that it had already been paid for. You knew there was only one person who would've and could've been able to pay for it.
Travis had already agreed to cover some of it, but you didn't want him paying for all of it.
---
Maria left as soon as Travis got home. You were waiting in the living room when he came into the house. "Hey, how was your day?" He asked, dropping his bag on the floor.
"Fine, how was yours?"
"Good, exhausting." He sat down on the opposite end of the couch you were currently sitting on.
"Travis, I have to ask you something?" His eyebrows furrowed and he turned to face you.
"Ok..."
You sighed, "Did you pay for my surgery? I called KU medical center and they said it was already taken care of."
He bit the inside of his lip, "Yea, I covered it."
"I thought we agreed that you were only covering the portion I couldn't. I didn't need you to pay for the whole thing." You were frustrated, that he went behind your back.
"I didn't think it'd be a big deal. I have the money, so I figured I'd help you out." Travis didn't see anything wrong with what he'd done. He was only trying to help you out and make your life a little easier.
You grabbed the check out of your pocket and handed it to him. "Here, I'm paying you back." He got up from the couch and dropped the check in your lap.
"I don't want it." He simply stated, before entering the kitchen. You got up to follow him. Just as you were about to speak he cut you off, "Want anything to eat? I was gonna make some pasta."
"Travis." You frowned, leaning on your crutch.
"Y/n" He frowned, mimicking you but not for long because he broke out into a laugh. "I'm sorry," He said bending over and holding his stomach as he laughed, "I just can't take you seriously over this."
You didn't bother answer, opting to glare at him instead.
After he calmed down he saw you were still pissed. He sighed, getting serious again. "Please, let me pay for this. It's my way of saying thanks, for everything you do. You're a huge help to me and I honestly don't know what I would do without you."
"Travis, this is a lot of money. I just don't feel comfortable with you spending that much on me. Not to mention everything else you've done for me. Like you literally have given up your room for me." You weren't used to people being so generous and you didn't know what to think.
"If it helps its like pocket change to me." He joked, before heading back over to the walk in pantry. He came out a few seconds later, with a box of pasta in his hand.
"Doesn't help." You quipped, getting onto the stool as the kitchen island.
This was becoming a regular routine, you keeping him company while he cooked dinner. It was nice, you enjoyed it more than you cared to admit.
Plus Travis was a surprisingly good cook. "I don't know how I've been living without your food for this long." You said after swallowing a bite of his pasta. "You should go to jail for depriving me of your cooking skills."
He smirked, happy that you liked his food. After you guys were done eating Travis cleared the table, while you picked out a movie to watch.
He plopped down on the opposite end of the couch, "What are we watching"
"Den of thieves, I heard it's good. It has ice cube's son in it I think." You pressed play and pulled the blanket Travis had on his couch over you.
Travis enjoyed the movie and turned to you when the credits started to roll. "Good pic-" He stopped when he realized you were already asleep.
A small smile graced his lips, at the sight of you curled up on his couch.
He gently called your name, trying to gauge if you were truly asleep or just 'resting your eyes'. This wasn't the first time you'd fallen asleep during a movie and each time you always insisted that you were 'just resting your eyes'.
When you didn't respond, he realized you were clonked out. He debated over what to do. Should he wake you up? Leave you on the couch? At least it was a comfy couch.
He opted for carrying you to your room, hopefully without waking you. He carefully gathered you in his arms, and while you did stir a bit you never fully woke up.
He was half way to your room, when you nuzzled your face into his chest. His heart stopped as he looked down, to realize you were still sleeping.
Your hand was clutching his shirt, as he carried you the rest of the way. He gently set you down in his bed, on top of the covers. He went to his closet and grabbed a blanket, placing it over you.
He quietly left his room, turning off the lights and shutting the door careful not to wake you.

Chapter Twenty-One: The President's Burden
You and Cyno can’t be more different. He’s Akademiya’s perfect student council president. You’re a labelled, cursed delinquent who changes into a cat for eight hours when kissed.
When Cyno gets a complaint about you, he’s forced to take action, only for it to lead to unexpected circumstances.
Cyno/You

Chapter index at the end of chapter one
"I'd rather not," you say flatly as Cyno takes your hand. If you're scared, you aren't showing it. Instead, you keep your eyes on the men as if challenging them. "But you can tell Scaramouche that he's not the only one with a few tricks up his sleeve."
When Jebrael steps toward them, one of the men nudges his companion. "Let's go. We're done here."
"And don't come back!" the goon shouts behind them.
Cyno puts his arm around you. "You did well, Catnip."
Jebrael walks up to you and Cyno and asks, "Will you join us for dinner?"
"I'd love to," Cyno says, "But my cousin is waiting for me at home."
"Is it Nahida?" you ask. Cyno nods. "The girl with the iron grip."
Cyno chuckles. "I guess she hugged you too tightly that day."
"You have no idea. But she seems like a nice girl. I'd love to meet her in person one day."
"Why not this weekend?" Cyno suggests. "Alhaitham is taking me to meet his friend, so she'll want someone to hang out with."
"She didn't want to go with you?" you ask.
"I told her about it earlier today," Cyno says," And I quote… that sounds kinda boring."
You laugh. "I can keep her company. But, who's the friend, then?"
"He's a lawyer." Then, Cyno looks at Jebrael. "He's the one who handled your case."
"Ooh, wasn't that guy like your only friend, Jebrael?" the goon laughs.
All it takes is one look for the goon to look the other way innocently. Then, Cyno's phone dings with a message.
Nahida: PIZZA'S HERE!
"Everything okay?" you ask. Cyno shows you the text.
"The classic pepperoni and cheese. A solid choice." You and Cyno look at the goon, who awkwardly clears his throat and looks away from Cyno's screen. "Sorry. It was food. Couldn't help myself."
"Maybe I can save you some."
The goon gasps and nudges you. "He's a real keeper!"
Cyno slips his phone back into his pocket just as Jebrael says, "We'll take her back."
Just before parting ways, Cyno kisses your hand. Then, he heads into the car and tells Nahida that he's on his way back.
◆◆◆
As soon as Cyno enters the house, he smells something delicious. Nahida comes out of the kitchen, holding a large jug of juice and smiles at him.
"If you were any later, I would've eaten the entire pizza myself!"
"Yet, you still got me a plate," Cyno says.
"So, you better make it up to me!"
Cyno joins her at the table and puts a slice of pizza on a clean plate. "Well, what if I told you that Catnip's going to spend the weekend with you?"
Nahida gasps. "Really?"
"Didn't you say you want to meet her?"
"Well, yeah, but… I don't know. It's not every day you hear someone wanting to spend time with a kid."
"That makes you sound more mature than you are."
Nahida's about to bite into her food when she says, "Don't make me throw my pizza at you."
"You wouldn't waste food."
Nahida takes a bite. "Not good food." Cyno and Nahida eat in silence for a little while until she wipes her fingers on her napkin and asks, "Do you want to hear some gossip?"
"About what?"
Nahida reaches for another piece. "One of my classmates is acting a little strange." She puts the slice on her plate and sighs. "I overheard him talking about something the other day… and I think it's why he's been skipping classes."
"What did he say?"
"... He'll stop at nothing until he gets the money. That's who Scaramouche is." Cyno almost drops his pizza. "I heard some people saying that his father got into debt, but I don't know…."
"Don't get involved," Cyno says sternly.
"Oh, of course not! I don't have that much time on my hands to get involved in someone else's business. But it's just… sad, I guess."
"Is your teacher doing anything?"
"Well, because he's always been late lately, she talked to him a few times. But he doesn't seem that comfortable with her." She scoffs. "Let me rephrase that. No one really seems that comfortable with her."
"Why not?" Cyno asks. "I thought you said you liked her before."
"You never know what you had until it's gone," Nahida sighs. "We got a new teacher halfway through the semester. And she doesn't like teaching. It's pretty obvious." She takes a bite. "Okay, maybe that's going too far. But she does the bare minimum, which I'm trying to get at, I guess."
Just as Cyno finishes the rest of his pizza, Nahida looks at him. "You turned kinda pale when I said Scaramouche," she continues. "Do you know him or something?"
"He's a student at Akademiya."
Nahida drops her pizza onto the plate. "You're joking, right?"
"I wish I was," Cyno says.
"Then… have you met him?"
"I wish I didn't," Cyno answers quietly. "Let's just say he's not someone you should mess around with."
Nahida finishes the rest of her pizza and puts her plate down. "What's a person like him doing at Akademiya…? Heck, how did he even get in?"
"Well, according to Alhaitham, the school wants to be less discriminatory."
Nahida rolls her eyes. "And do you believe that?"
"It's not like we can do anything about it," Cyno sighs.
"I guess." Nahida stands and picks up her plate. "You be careful. I don't want to hear about how he's giving you trouble."
If only she knew.
After dinner, Nahida says she's going to work on her assignments. Yet, Cyno can easily hear her singing a pop song in the living room. He's about to put his earphones in when his phone goes off.
As soon as he answers it, he hears Nilou's voice.
"Hey, Cyno. Are you busy?"
Cyno spins around in his chair. "What is it?"
"It's… about Catnip," she says quietly.
"What about her?"
"I… well… Scaramouche told me something that I think you should know."
Cyno frowns. "Is this about her being part of some criminal organization?"
"How do you know?"
"What else did he tell you?" Cyno sighs. "And… why didn't you tell us Scaramouche talked to you?"
"I couldn't just accuse her like that with everyone around. It's… awkward. Besides… it might not be true. That's why I went to see her. The three of you have become such good friends after all."
Her last statement makes Cyno raise a brow. Is she jealous of your friendship with them?
"It's like she replaced me," Nilou finishes quietly.
While he and Nilou have been friends for years, he's never seen this side of her before. The Nilou he remembers is always so cheerful and energetic. Yet, it's like she's changed… and not in a good way. Is it because she's forced to give up on her dreams? Maybe she's looking for comfort, and finding out things have changed while she's gone must've rattled her more. Regardless, Cyno doesn't want to deal with this. Does that make him a bad friend?
"You don't need to focus on Catnip," Cyno says. "How have you been doing? Your performance got cancelled because of your injury. Weren't you also going to start teaching at a studio?"
"... I got rejected."
Oh. Well… "Keep trying. I'm sure you'll find something."
"Would you believe me if I said Scaramouche said he'll help me?"
That doesn't sound suspicious at all. "With what?"
“Sumeru Studios is looking for a ballet master. I’m a little underqualified, but he said he could help me get the position.”
"And you believe him?"
“He knows the owner… He showed me proof.”
There are so many things wrong with this that Cyno doesn't know where to start. "I doubt he's helping you without getting anything in return. So what does he want from you?"
“He just wants to warn me about Catnip,” Nilou says quietly. Cyno almost scoffs. Right. Okay. “She lied to me that day at the library.”
“Her business is none of your business, Nilou. Leave her alone.”
“I’m worried about you, Candace, and Tighnari. The three of you have become such good friends. I just don’t want any of you to get hu—”
"None of us will get hurt," Cyno says sternly. "If you keep badmouthing her, let's not be friends anymore."
“But I’m not! I—”
“If you truly have good intentions, you wouldn’t go about it this way. Also, the Nilou I used to know wouldn’t use cheap tricks.”
"Cheap tricks?" Nilou asks incredulously.
Cyno sighs. "Scaramouche helping you is your business. Not mine. But stop trying to 'warn' us about Catnip. I know everything, so your good intentions are useless."
"... You really hurt me, Cyno," Nilou says quietly. "Fine. I see they aren't appreciated." Cyno rolls his eyes. "But, if you know everything, then did you know that she killed his mother?"
Cyno doesn’t get a chance to ask when the line goes dead.
◆◆◆
Should Cyno be surprised that Scaramouche isn't at school? Maybe Cyno expected too much. Surely a criminal like him has better things to do than be a proper student. Cyno never thought he'd want to see Scaramouche. At least Cyno can somewhat keep an eye on him.
Cyno can't get what Nilou said out of his mind. Of course, he knows better than to blindly believe what she or Scaramouche says. But that's a very… strong accusation regardless of who it's coming from. Surely Scaramouche knows better than to blindly accuse someone like that, as it can have legal consequences.
So… does that mean it's true?
Cyno's on the school rooftop, looking out at the city when someone covers his eyes with their hands.
"Guess who?"
Cyno takes your hands and spins around. He pulls you to him, and you end up flush against his body.
"No fair. You didn't even guess," you say.
"I missed you, Catnip." Cyno nuzzles your hair.
Eventually, Cyno ends up hugging you, and you and he look at the view together.
"Nahida is excited to spend time with you this weekend."
You chuckle. "I hope she won't be disappointed."
"She'll love you."
You hold his hands and say, "Did you talk to Nilou? I saw her earlier today, and she didn't seem that happy to see me."
"She called me yesterday, and"—Cyno sighs—"it didn't go so well."
"What did you talk about?"
Cyno tells you about the conversation with Nilou but doesn't tell you about what she said at the end. At least… not yet. He isn't even sure if it's true, and the last thing he wants is for you to stress over something that's potentially not true.
"Replaced her?" you ask. "That's… I actually don't know what to say to that." Then, you sigh. "But I wouldn't be surprised if Scaramouche knows the director. With his connections, he might even know the President of the country."
"That's a scary thought I'd rather not entertain," Cyno says. "But… Nahida's classmate apparently knows Scaramouche, too."
You turn around with wide eyes. "You're joking, right?"
"One of her classmates has been skipping classes. She overheard him saying Scaramouche would stop at nothing to get the money. So I told her not to get involved."
"He's like a worm," you say flatly. "Just… worming his way into everyone's business everywhere." Cyno chuckles. "It sounds like Scaramouche's doing his usual with Nahida's classmate. As for Nilou… he's using her, which I guess, is also his usual tactic."
Cyno sighs. Is Nilou playing along because she's jealous? He puts his chin on your shoulder. "Do you remember anything else about your parents?"
"About that…"
Did something happen?
"Hey, Cyno, Catnip!"
Tighnari's voice makes you turn around. Cyno looks past you and sees his friend walking up to him.
"I thought you'd be here."
"I thought you'd be with Candace," Cyno says.
"Ah… yeah, about that…"
So, Tighnari tells you they bumped into Nilou while coming. Then, he adds, "She didn't look so happy, so Candace went to talk to her." You and Cyno glance at each other. "Do you two know what's wrong?"
"We… got into a fight, I guess," Cyno says.
"A fight? Over what?" Tighnari looks from Cyno to you and back to Cyno. "Uh… is it about Catnip?"
It's obvious you don't know what to say, and Cyno doesn't blame you. "I told Nilou to stop meddling in other people's business," he says.
Tighnari sighs. "Well… I guess she took it more harshly because, well, she probably still likes you, Cyno."
"I already turned her down," Cyno says just as you turn to him. "But... how did you—"
"She's liked you for a long time!" Tighnari says. "I think you're the only person who didn't know." But, then, he looks at you. "Ah, but they never dated, Catnip."
"Well, I guess that also explains a lot of things," you say.
"She probably just needs some time to get over it," Tighnari says. "I wouldn't worry about her."
While Cyno wants to believe it's true, a part of him is still afraid. What if she starts spreading rumours? Working with Scaramouche? It will be easy for him to take advantage of her vulnerability.
"Anyway, onto a happier topic… What do you guys think about going to the hot springs for our trip?"
"Ooh, that sounds like a great suggestion," you say.
"... Cyno?" Cyno looks up and sees Tighnari looking at him. "Hot springs? Yay? Or nay?"
"Sounds good."
"What are you thinking about?"
"It's nothing," Cyno says.
Tighnari narrows his eyes. "You sure?"
Cyno takes your hand. "We can share a room," he says, looking at you. You blush slightly and nod.
"That's what I was hoping for," Tighnari laughs. "Save us some money! But, woo! Hot springs, here we come! I hope you don't mind that Kaveh and Alhaitham will tag along."
"Let me guess," you say, "Did they say they're coming as supervisors?"
"So, I'm not the only one who thinks they're using that as an excuse, right?" Tighnari asks. "I bet they just want to come. We don't need supervisors.”
"The person saying that is usually the one who needs them," Cyno says.
"Very funny," Tighnari deadpans as the three of you walk back inside.
◆◆◆
Cyno is reading in an open area, waiting for you to finish your classes, when Candace plops into the armchair across from him.
"Hey, have a minute?" she asks. Cyno closes his book and looks at her. "It's about Nilou."
"What about her?"
"She told me about what happened with Scaramouche," Candace says as Cyno narrows his eyes. "... And, she won't talk about Catnip anymore."
"Why doesn't she come to talk to me herself?"
"She's afraid you're still mad at her."
Cyno is about to open his book again when Candace says, "Listen, I don't want to doubt Catnip. But has she told you anything? I mean... Scaramouche's literally accusing her of murder."
Will it sound like an excuse if Cyno tells Candace that you don't remember? That you have gaps in your memories?
"If he is, isn't it strange he's going about it this way?" Cyno asks. "Where's the evidence?"
"I don't know what to believe at this point," Candace sighs. "But, I did see Scaramouche yesterday night." That's interesting. Could whatever happened yesterday night be the reason he's not at school? "Of course, I didn't talk to him, but he was with someone."
"Who?"
"No idea. I think he goes to Nahida's school, though. The uniform looks the same."
"Do you know what they were talking about?"
Candace shrugs. "I don't. It didn't look like a friendly meet-up; that's all I can say. But… I did hear the guy say Nahida's name." Why? What were they talking about? "Has she mentioned anything to you?"
"She did say a classmate of hers got himself involved with Scaramouche."
"Geez, why does it feel like this guy is literally everywhere?" Candace sighs. "It's not just Catnip I'm worried about. I'm worried about the rest of us, too."
Cyno doesn't blame her.
Candace looks past him, smiles, and says, “Hey, Catnip.”
Cyno turns around and sees you give a small wave as you walk up to them. As he walks with you and Candace to the school parking lot, Cyno's glad that Candace isn't grilling you with everything that's going on but instead talks about the upcoming hot spring trip. Eventually, the three of you part ways, with you and Cyno getting into his car and Candace going to hers.
On the way to your house, you say, "I'm thinking of telling Candace and Tighnari about my family." Cyno glances at you. "I don't know what Nilou told them, but… It will make me look even more suspicious if they don't know."
"What did your family say?"
"I… haven't told them yet. But what do you think?"
“It would prevent any misunderstandings,” Cyno says. He takes your hand. “But, whatever you and your family decide, I support your decision.”
You take his hand tightly. “You asked me if I remember anything about my parents… I do.” A pause. “I was there. Scaramouche was there.” You take a small breath. “It was some kind of gathering, and my mother was wearing the pendant around her neck.”
“Did this all come back at once?”
“Yeah…” A soft sigh. “But, that’s all that came back.”
You entered the kitchen and saw Jebrael making something for his son. When Jebrael saw you, he asked, “I thought you’d be sleeping.”
"I guess my lack of memories keeps me awake," you said half-jokingly.
“Give it some time. It’ll come back.”
You come up next to him. "If Scaramouche never appeared… would you have told me about my missing memories?"
Jebrael looked at you. “I don’t know,” he said honestly. He sighed. “I… don’t even know if I want you to remember them.”
“You’re scaring me,” you said quietly. “Could you just tell me? What am I forgetting?”
Jebrael put his hand on your shoulder. Then, his son rushed into the kitchen with Rahman.
“I was a little relieved,” you say. “Not gonna lie. I… wasn’t sure if I was ready to hear what happened.”
Nilou's words suddenly come flooding back to him, and Cyno is really debating on whether to tell you what he heard. It's killing him that he's keeping this secret from you, but, of course, he's curious. Your grandmother and Jebrael obviously have their reasons for keeping this big secret from you for so many years. Whatever happened that day traumatized you, and the only reason Cyno can think of is that you're the one who buried it all away.
Just when Cyno pulls into The Red Sand, his phone goes off. “Could you check who it is?” he asks.
"It's Nahida," you say.
Cyno gives you a nod, and you put the phone on speaker. Before you can say a word, Nahida says, "Cyno, help me!"

Within the forests
A headcanon where the reader comes from Liyue and has a relation with the adorable wolf boy~ The two of you take a relaxing bath in a pool :)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Masterlist
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
'Eeeeh- Are you sure that there is nothing else to do.. Did I complete all my tasks today? Does nobody needs help..?' You couldn't really believe it, you were done waaaay earlier than normal. 'Yes, you're done. Don't worry! You did quite a fine job too..' Kaeya brought out friendly, giving you a headpat before turning around to attend his own affairs.  'Alright! Thank you! I will be taking my leave now.. Will see ya tomorrow!' You shouted and waved to him before leaving the headquarters of The Knights of Favonius.
While you ran towards Mondstadts city gates, you came across Katheryne. 'Ad Astra Abyssosque! You've actually completed all your missions for today!' She said before the you even stood still. 'Ah! Alrighty.. Got it.' You scratched the back of your head as you continued running, finally you could leave without worries.. Which was actually a first in a long time?
Upon arriving in Wolvendom you managed to step into a wolfhook, your leg violently shaking around to get it off. 'Lupical no worry. Razor takes wolfhook off.' Startled you turned your head around, almost losing your balance and falling in the whole stack of wolfhook laying next to a bush. If it wasn't for Razor, you would've been sobbing in pain right now as you would pull out every single thorny fruit. 'Razor.. Thank you..' You brought out, your arm wrapped around his shoulder as he held you steadily by your waist with his arm, other hand busy trying to get the plant off your shoe. 'There go, safe. You.. Look out for purple spikes..' He said disapproving, you smiled awkwardly. 'In Liyue there weren't such dangerous plants. I'm still getting used to this place. '
Right. You were a traveling knight and found your place in Mondstadt's region. Your original plan was to return to Liyue after a while, but when you met Razor.. Those plans were actually thrown aside rather quickly.
'Still, pup must look out. Always danger.' He replied, you chuckled softly. 'Alrighty Razor, as you say.' Your smile gave him a warm feeling in his chest, although he didn't return the smile, he knew that you knew that he was excited and happy to see you here.
'Knights need no help?' He asked as the two of you started traversing the path, You knew that this would probably go on for hours and that this would cost a lot of stamina.. 'Nope! I have completed all my tasks, so I don't need to worry about going back any time soon..' You sighed deeply, your smile fading softly. '...'
'Air smells like pinecone, sad?' Razor noticed, softly sniffing as you looked back at him. 'Just a little, but don't worry. I was just thinking about Liyue. I kind of miss there.' You shrugged your shoulders helplessly and stared straight ahead again.
'Razor understands, Liyue.. Home for Lupical?' You nodded and looked back at him. 'Yes. My heart will forever lay in Liyue, even though I like it here too! Don't get me wrong.. But, it's just not exactly the same you know..' You scratched the back of her head and sighed deeply, Razor grabbed your arm. 'If Lupical sad, Razor help. Talking hard, actions will show.' A precious smile appeared on your face, followed by a soft chuckle. '... Thank you Razor, very very much..' Time seemed to fly past since you two were already by the lake, you softly bumped your forehead against Razor's, and Razor did the same to you. For some reason it was his kind of way to show his love for someone, and you kinda took over the habit. 'I love you.' You whispered smiling, your noses brushing against each other. 'Love you too.' He replied and backed off, giving you a soft head pat.
'Right! Since it's quite calm around here.. And there's also a Pyro slime that just chilled in this pool for like, 30 minutes.. Aka the water is boiling .. Why not go take a bath?' You offered, your hands already on the hem of your shirt. 'Right.' Razor replied with a casual nod.
In some way this was really bonding for the two of you and also very calming. As you were both butt naked, you were the first one to enter the pool. It was indeed hot, kind of giving you chills because a cold breeze ran over your back.
'Too warm?' Razor asked, seeing the slight discomfort in your body. You turned her head around, shaking it violently after as the rest of your body followed underwater. 'No no! Don't worry, it's the wind.. It's cold!' You laughed softly and waited for the wolf boy to follow your lead, which he surely did. As he approached your naked figure he couldn't help but stare at you. Sure, you did this often, but never had he ever felt such a feeling for someone.. Love and passion.
'Water.. Very warm.' Razor mumbled as his arms snaked around your waist, giving you a tight hug. You smiled happily, knowing that nobody could tear down your happiness and luck. 'Yeah, it surely is! But isn't it lovely.. Oh and also very very calming..' You responded, shoving the boy's bangs away and giving him a few kisses on the forehead. A rare smile was found on his face, you noticed it and your eyes widened in response, soon to return the smile even though Razor didn't see it.
'(Y/n).. My Lupical. I love you.' He said and nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders and laughed. 'Razor, you're my Lupical too.. And also I love you. Please stay by my side.. For eternity!'
'... Whats eternity?' He replied confused, you giggled as you looked at the boy. 'For ever. Never separated.' You responded happily, Razor thought but nodded with a hum. 'Yes, Razor stay.. For ever. For.. Eternity.' As he continued nuzzling in your neck, you kind of lost balance which made you, including Razor, fall back. For a second your head went under water, just to find yourself up on the surface again. She laughed openly, staring at the boy who's bangs were completely hiding his eyes. 'Geez! You look like an excited dog.. It's.. Cute..' You said as a blush settled on your face, a little grin followed. He even shook his head around like a dog, trying to get his hair out of his face. 'Haha! Geez.. Is it me or is it getting warm in here..' You said and quickly pushed a strand of hair behind your ear, Razor looked confused at you.. Questioning what you meant. 'Well, whatever! Come here..' You held your arms open for him with a broad smile on your face. Razor approached you confused, only to get pulled into an extreme cuddly hug.
'So cute..' You whispered to yourself and closed your eyes firmly.

One more time
Summary: Alex regrets ever saying yes. All he wants is a second chance.
Trigger warning: Mentions of cheating, mentions of sex, swearing, angst
Author's note: my first piece off hiatus !! - you're a twitch streamer in this fic but it won't come up too much :) hope u like it <3
Tumblr media
Based on: Break My Heart Again - FINNEAS
you sigh. your ex-boyfriend called again. you've been ignoring your phone for 5 minutes now. was he really this desperate?
you pick up your phone and slide the green button.
"what do you want, alex?"
"___, you picked up!"
he sounded extremely relieved, like he needs you to breathe.
"i did, now what do you want?"
alex sighed and leaned on a wall in his bedroom.
"can i come over? there's some stuff i still need to pick up."
you suck in a breath sharply. the air is thick and tense.
"no."
you clench the phone you were holding and bit your lip.
"i don't want to see you right now."
alex closed his eyes and pushed himself off the wall.
"i understand, you need time."
there was silence for a moment. neither of you wanted to say anything.
"if you want to come over that bad you can get your things tomorrow morning."
"sounds good. i'll be there around 11, okay?"
"fine."
"good-"
you ended the call.
"-bye..."
alex let his arm drop beside him. his eyes were watering, but he wiped it away with the sleeve of his hoodie.
it's his fault, he knew. but why is he still so upset? he shouldn't feel like this - it's is his own doing, after all.
~
you open the door to your home. alex was standing on the porch with a few empty bags in hand. the morning sun blinded you slightly, making you squint at the man in front of you.
"hi ___."
"hello, alex. all your belongings are on the couch.
"great, thank you."
~
he looks over as he's folding a shirt.
"what are you looking at?"
you say without looking away from your laptop.
his face was getting red slightly from embarrassment.
"nothing, you seem busy."
alex directed his eyes back to the clothes in front of him.
"otherwise you would've said something about me."
alex snickered slightly, trying to lighten the mood.
you sigh, holding your face in one of your hands.
don't say it. ___, keep it in. there's no point in fighting him. ___-
"if i wanted to make a comment it'd be about the fact you can't keep your dick in your pants."
god damn it, why did you do that?
he fell quiet. you hated his guts, but even you felt kind of bad for being so blunt with it.
a part of you still loved him. his loud, yet charming laugh. his sweet kisses. his adorable clinginess. his blushing face when you teased him.
you shake your head, trying to physically get rid of your pity for him. he doesn't love you anymore. he shouldn't, and neither should you.
~
after filling the bags with alex's belongings he stood up and wiped his forehead. you waver from your work and look him up and down.
"you done?"
you asked him. he turned around and gave you a weak smile.
"yeah, i think so."
"good, you know the way out."
you turn back to your computer.
"___, wait. can i ask you something?"
you make eye contact with him, fully aware it makes him nervous.
"what do you want?"
alex took a quick breath.
"can we talk sometime?"
you look at him like he spoke an alien tongue.
"why the hell would i?"
"i want to talk about what happened between us. i hate that our relationship is so sour."
he set a step forward.
"i just want this to end peaceful - or at least neutral."
"why the fuck would i want to be peaceful with you of all people?"
"i hate ending things on the wrong foot, you know that."
alex stands his ground, making you livid.
"then we make up, and then what? you'll just break my heart again!"
you stand up, simultaneously pushing the chair away with your legs.
"then i can lay awake and think about why i even let you inside my house again in the first place?!"
if looks could kill, alex would be on the floor.
"fine. if you don't want to, then i guess everything will just stay the way it is."
alex turned around and grabbed his bags. there's no way he's getting through to you right now.
"oh, so now it's my fault?"
you slam your laptop and walk away from the table.
"well, i'm so sorry for being angry at you for cheating on me!"
you don't hold your anger in anymore, he crossed the line.
"i never said that, ___!"
alex yelled to match your energy.
you took a step back. the audacity to yell at you in your house.
"out. now."
alex grabbed the second bag of clothes and without a word walked to the front door.
"goodbye, ___."
alex pushes the door open and steps outside. you go after him but stop at the doorstep.
"fuck you!" you sob out. you grab the doorknob and slam the door shut.
your knees slowly got weaker and you sit against the front door, shutting your eyes.
~
it's been a month since you've seen alex. you've blocked him on everything since then.
you were doing a q&a on your twitch channel and everything was going well. chat was filled with questions and you answered the one's you could.
your thoughts were somewhere else, though.
you still miss him, you really did. alex used to watch your streams all the time. he sent you donations with cheesy pick-up lines, he called you during streams to make fun of you for dying in a game or just to chat while he's bored.
but that didn't happen anymore.
you realize you haven't said anything in a while and you apologize. your chat was spamming purple hearts and 'are you okay?'
"ah, sorry everyone, i'm still tired from yesterday. i think i'm going to end the stream for today, thank you all for coming!"
after saying goodbye you turn off your computer.
why are you still so obsessed over him?! he cheated on you! he even tried to cover it up with a bullshit story about "not being the first to kiss her," and "she forced me to," like someone would believe a lie like that.
yet, you still love him. something inside you wants to believe him, like he really was telling the truth.
~
the next morning you open twitter and scroll for a bit. you made a tweet earlier in which you stated you weren't going to stream today.
you looked at the trending topics and saw your name in bold letters. you clicked on it and read the first tweet that popped up.
'i really hope ___ is doing better, they looked so sad on stream :('
an image was attached to it - a screenshot from the stream you did yesterday where you were mindlessly staring at your computer screen.
you sighed. at least they're not thinking too deep about this.
you scroll further down, replying and liking a couple tweets saying you were alright, thanking them or cracking a joke. this should keep them off your back for a while.
after scrolling for a bit one tweet catches your eye. you clutch your phone as you read the comment.
'kinda obvious they miss quackity :/ it's a good cover-up story tho '
~
alex was staring at his ceiling. he'd seen the tweets about you - about him.
he hates this feeling. he hates the fact that he knows what you're thinking. he hates that he knows it's his fault. he didn't mean to. he didn't.
"come on, alex. you know you want it." the woman said.
"i told you, no! i have a partner!" alex pushed her away for the second time, trying to find a way past the girl and out of this small alleyway. he should've never gone to this stupid bar.
"tch, whatever. but know you'll regret rejecting someone like me!" the girl pushed him to the brick wall and fixed her dress as she walked away.
alex fixed himself for a minute and walked past the bar and into his car. he pulled out his phone and shot you a quick text.
'hey bb i'll be over in a few :)'
'don't come back.'
you responded almost immediately. alex froze as he looked at the screen.
'wdym?'
'you know damn well why'
you sent him a photo of him next to the bar in the alley. the girl was all over him while her lips connected lustfully to his.
'it isn't what it looks like, i didn't start any of this!'
you don't respond. alex tries to send you another text when an error pops up.
'unable to send message. user has blocked you.'
~
you hover your hand over your phone's keyboard. you thought anbout alex's offer to talk, and decided that maybe it was a good idea after all. you couldn't get your mind off him, you thought that hopefully getting some closure could help.
but how were you going to ask him? 'hey, i know i blocked number like a month ago but can you to meet me at some random park? see you there!'
after typing and deleting multiple texts you eventually landed on a message.
'hey alex, i've been thinking about your offer to talk it out, and i wanted to ask if you're still up for it?'
you send it and immediately turn off your phone and place it on the coffeetable in front of you. you did it, finally. you fall back on your couch and pull your knees up to your face, waiting for a notification.
after a nailbiting five minutes a light emits from your phone. you pick it up and read the name calling you. 'alex'. you take a deep breath and answer the phone.
"hi alex."
"hey ___, it's been a while."
you sit up straight, preparing yourself for the conversation you're about to have.
'yeah, you can say that."
the atmosphere was a lot less tense than you expected. it was weirdly... comforting? you can hear alex's raspy voice through the phone. has he been crying?
"i saw your text, you wanted to meet?"
"yes, i did. i wanted to get some closure, at least."
alex chuckled, his laugh making you a little flustered. trying to brush it off, you laugh with him.
"what's so funny?" alex asked.
you rolled your eyes and smile.
"you, dumbass."
he gasps cartoonishly loud. his goofy personality is something you could never get enough of. maybe you were wrong after all.
"ok, but seriously, when do you want to meet?"
he gets back on topic. you snap out of your smile and remember why he called in the first place.
"right, right. i'm free this whole week, you can choose when."
after some planning and back and forth, you decide to meet at a small family-run café in the afternoon. coincidentally, it's the same place you two had your first date.
~
you settle down at a table on the terrace of the café, the sunday sun greeting you warmly. you were a little early, so you decided to think of some questions. it didn't take you long to come to a few, though. your main question was the photo. what was that all about?
as you were handed a menu you saw alex walking on the pavement fidgeting with his fingers.
"hey! sorry if i'm late, i took the bus instead of my car."
he took the seat parallel to yours and exhaled.
"oh no, you're right on time. i was just a little early."
the waitress gave alex a menu and disappeared into the establishment. you both decided to stay quiet before getting on topic. neither of you want to start the conversation.
after both ordering and having surface level conversation for a while silence fell. you both know why you're here, it feels off to talk like nothing ever happened.
"okay-"
"so-"
you both start at the same time. alex awkwardly chuckles while covering his mouth.
"you first."
alex proposes. you nod and like magic lose the somewhat content mood you had prior. you steadily breathe in and pull out your phone.
"so, first things first; my main goal is to get closure and an explanation - there's no point in lying to me."
alex hums in agreement. you could tell he was nervous, you knew him better than anyone. you tap on your screen a few times until you reach the photo that was sent to you.
"now, i want a clear answer. what happened that night?"
you ask him firmly as you put your phone on the table to reveal the image.
"that's my ex-girlfriend."
alex said. you raise an eyebrow - his ex? you've heard some wild things about her and her antics, which is exactly why alex broke up with her in the first place.
"she said she wanted to ask me something in private. my dumbass said yes, because i can't pick up on context clues, apparently."
you cross your arms and lean back on the chair.
"you got that right."
alex looks up from the photo and makes eye contact with you.
"long story short, she pushed me to the wall and kissed me. i tried to push her off but she didn't let me go. after shoving her, like, twice she finally got the hint and left."
~
"so she set you up?"
"she hasn't changed a bit since all those years."
you say with a hint of condescension. his explanation made sense, and from what you heard he wasn't lying. your gut told you to believe him, yet your mind had an itching feeling that there was something else.
"are you sure that's all?"
alex flinched slightly.
"y-yes, ___. i don't know what else to tell you."
you mess with your hair a bit, clearly conflicted. there was nothing else, you knew that. but your brain wouldn't let it go. you decided it's better if you just sleep on it.
"alright, then.-"
you grab your bag and stand up.
"-i think we're done here."
alex stays seated and looks up at you.
"yeah, i think so."
you pick the phone up that's laying on the table. you pull out your wallet and put a $5 bill under your teacup.
"goodbye, alex."
"wait!"
alex stands up and grabs your wrist, the gesture scaring you little bit.
"are you still mad at me?"
those eyes. they're so pretty, almost sparlking. you snap out of it when he lets go, just realizing how weird it is to grab someone's arm out of nowhere.
"sorry, my bad. i wasn't thinking."
alex scratches the back of his neck.
"i'm still deciding if i can trust you, but i appreciate you showing up, at least."
"that's enough for me."
alex smile at you, not trying to pry.
"goodbye, ___."
"goodbye, alex."
~
you heard the chirping of the birds outside your window and groan. why is it already morning? you sit up and grab your phone from the nightstand next to your bed, the phone reading 11:23 - tuesday - xx-xx-xxxx.
you sigh and fall back onto your bed. you've been thinking about alex for a few days now, still not getting him out of your head.
after going downstairs and eating some toast you pull out your phone again, the clock now reading 12:44. you look through your contacts and eventually land on his name.
you hover your hand over the green pixels while sitting down at the dining table. you swallow audibly and click the call button.
it goes once.
it goes twice.
"___?"
'Hey alex, i wanted to ask you if you wanted to meet up again?"

Aftermath (Part 1)
This story takes place immediately after the events of the gala. The previous story is on my alt account and on my archiveofourown.org account, another place to see my stories. Btw, happy valentine's day everyone! Sorry this isn't exactly what I wanted to post but as long as I post something today, I'm good.
"...Wow..."
"Yeah..."
Ryan stood beside Johnny, his face was coated in shock after being told everything that had happened that night.
It was supposed to be a normal night, one where Buster moon and his crew would mingle with the best of the best in show business. Unfortunately, many things went wrong in that one night. Jimmy crystal returned, an assassin attempted to kill Buster, only to get severely injured. And to top it all off, it was revealed that Nooshy had a hand to play in the events that led up to this.
The gorilla was so shocked to hear this that he and the snow lynx ended up getting into an argument about it, Resulting in what Johnny feared to be the end of their friendship.
"Johnny, I've only known you and Nooshy for a few months. But I know from watching you two that a little argument won't get in the way of your friendship."
Johnny glanced at the tiger, a small smile on his face, "that's kinda cheesy, ain't it?"
Ryan smiled softly, "I got you to smile, didn't i?"
Johnny chuckled, "Alright, you got me."
The two laughed a bit before Ryan focused on Johnny. "But in all seriousness, you weren't wrong to worry. And while yes, she did it in the wrong way, Nooshy wasn't wrong to try and protect you." He paused, staring off at the chaos in front of them. Reporters, paramedics, cops were all over the place.
'I know I would've done the same if I were in her shoes' he thought to himself, the very idea of a sweet guy like Johnny getting hurt sent a chill down his spine.
The two stood there in silence for a moment before something caught Ryan's eye. Several paramedics a cops were rushing to the back of the crystal tower hotel, Johnny soon noticed as well and walked over to a cop, who stayed behind with a few cops to keep the reporters from following the group that left.
"What's going on?"
"There was a stabbing behind the hotel. Now stay back before you get trampled!" The cop said harshly, struggling to help keep reporters back as the group of paramedics returned with a body on the stretcher.
Johnny tried to see who was on the stretcher but due to the large crowd, it was hard to see. Ryan, however, got a glimpse of who it was. The tiger gasped in shock as he stumbled back in disbelief. Johnny noticed this and immediately went to check on his friend.
"Ryan?! What's wrong?"
"J-Johnny..." Ryan looked at Johnny, his eyes filled with sorrow as he looked at the gorilla.
"..It was Nooshy."
----------
A few minutes earlier...
Alfonso had just closed for the night, his friend having already left an hour ago. It had been a slow day due to the preparations for the gala, but they managed to make some money selling their frozen treats.
As he prepared to leave for the night, he did a last minute check on the items that would be needed for the next day. He wanted to leave around the time the gala ended so he could surprise Meena, who had texted him earlier in the day that she was in redshore city for the gala. He was excited to see her again, the last time they saw each other was when the theater group performed at the majestic theater. Ever since then, the two have kept in contact by texts, phone calls, and video chats, though the two longed to meet each other in person once again.
He was just finishing up when he heard a noise outside. Curiosity getting the better of him, Alfonso opened the back of the truck and looked outside. Though it was dark, the street lights were enough to allow him to see the silhouettes of two animals. one of them fell to the ground while the other stood there staring down at the one who fell.
Immediately, Alfonso got the suspicious feeling that something wasn't right.
"Hey!" He called out, catching the attention of the animal who stood over the other. Without hesitation, the animal ran off, leaving animal on the floor behind, only sending more fear into Alfonso. The elephant pulled out his phone as he approached the animal on the floor, just in case.
The closer he got, the more he started to recognize the clothing the animal wore. His heart started to race when he also noticed the small drips of blood on the concrete. Once he was close enough to the body, he froze in horror.
Nooshy was lying unconscious, bleeding out from her side. Alfonso immediately rushed back to his truck, grabbing a clean rag and rushing back to the lynx, pressing the rag against her wound to stop the bleeding and calling 911.
"911, what's your emergency?" The operator asked on the other side of the line.
"I-I need help! I...A friend of mine has been stabbed! I'm at the crystal tower hotel around the back!"
"Okay sir, we have an ambulance in the area, I'll inform them right away of your location."
When the call was done, Alfonso focused on trying to stop the bleeding until the paramedics arrived.
----------
Eddie stared at the TV in shock, the screen showing the news that was covering what had recently happened in redshore city. Buster was almost killed! The very thought of it made him want to faint, but he forced himself to stand up and continue watching.
"While the renowned showman was not severely injured, he has been rushed to the hospital for further inspection after two officers claim that the koala went "savage" during the attack." The reporter said, a picture of Buster beside him, The picture had been taken a while back, when the crew performed at the majestic theater.
What had worried Eddie the most, however, was the fact that they had said that Buster had apparently gone savage. He had only heard of it once, back when there had been reports of savage incidents in the city of zootopia. Many had feared that it was predators slowly reverting back to their savage ways. But then it was revealed that a plant known as 'Night Howlers' was causing these incidents, many even saying the plants can cause prey to go savage as well.
And though the animals affected by the plant were eventually cured, it didn't stop major crime bosses from selling the hazardous plant on the black market.
Eddie shook his head, trying to rid himself of a horrifying thought. Did Buster have night howlers on him? Was he drugged? The many possibilities flooded his mind, none of them made any sense to the sheep.
He was snapped back to reality when the sound of his phones ring tone went off. He grabbed it off the sofa and checked the caller ID before answering.
"Garry?"
"Are you watching the news?!" The dachshund dog's panicked voice asked on the other side of the line.
"Yeah, I'm watching it right now..." he replied.
"It's insane!" Garry exclaimed. On the other side of the line, Garry was in his mother's house, the large television was set on the news just like Eddie's was. He paced back and forth in the room as he spoke. "There hasn't been a savage attack in two years and now this happens?!"
"They haven't confirmed it was a savage attack yet! They've just said-"
Garry interrupted Eddie, "People talk, Eddie. From what I heard, some think crystal drugged him sometime during the night."
"Why would he do that?"
There was silence on Garry's side. "You don't know, do you?" He finally asked.
"Know what?"
"Okay," Garry sat down on the sofa in the room. "How much do you know about Jimmy crystal and that night Moon performed that show of his?"
Eddie shrugged. "Not much. I did hear crystal was arrested but that's really it."
"So...you don't know that Jimmy almost killed Moon, right?"
Eddie nearly dropped his phone, "W-What?"
"I'm surprised you didn't know. I thought he told you when you went to see him the other day."
"He didn't say anything!" Eddie shouted suddenly. He then looked back to when the last time he saw Buster, realizing just how exhausted he had looked. "Damn it...!" He uttered to himself. He should've known something was wrong the moment he saw Buster.
"Okay okay, look. What's done is done. All we can do is hope Moon will be okay." Garry said, and though Eddie opened his mouth to argue, he knew Garry was right. What good would arguing do? It wouldn't help the situation at hand.
"Okay...look, I got to go, Garry. I'll see you soon, okay?"
"Okay. See you later, Eddie..."
As Eddie ended the call, he turned his attention back to the TV. The reporter was talking, when suddenly, paramedics and cops were rushing around in the background, catching the attention of the reporter. At first, Eddie thought it was nothing, considering how much had happened already. But it wasn't until he heard a familiar voice yelling in the background, a voice that stood out amongst the officers screaming at everyone to stand back, it caused Eddie's heart to start racing again.
"Please!" The voice begged. "She's my friend, I-"
"Sir, I'm sorry. But we can't allow you to get in."
"Johnny! I'll give you a ride, hurry!" Another voice called out. The camera focused for a moment on the gorilla, his face filled with worry as the doors to the ambulance closed. He stood there for a second before the voice called out to him again. The camera then moved to focus on the reporter again, but Eddie couldn't bare to watch anymore.
He grabbed the remote and shut off the TV, his entire body was shaking from what he just saw and heard. He buried in face in his hands, wanting to forget everything he just heard.
----------
Not long after arriving at the hospital, Johnny and Ryan had watched as Nooshy was rushed inside. The two had been stopped by a nurse and told to wait in the waiting room. The two were soon joined by the rest of the group, who were given a ride by Alfonso.
Upon seeing him, Ash rushed over to Johnny, who was sitting in a chair. The saddened expression on his face raised an alarm within ash. "Johnny..?" She spoke quietly, as to not catch the attention of the other animals waiting in the room.
"....it's my fault..."
"What?"
"It's my fault....I shouldn't have let her go..." he said quietly, tears escaping his eyes as he stared at the doors leading to the rooms where patients were taken. He remembered the fear he felt when Ryan told him that Nooshy was being rushed to the hospital after being stabbed. As he and Ryan drove the hospital, his fear for his friend was replaced with rage during the drive. He had wanted nothing more than to find the perpetrator and teach them a lesson they'd never forget.
But when they had finally reached the hospital, the fear and guilt he had felt before returned.
"This isn't your fault, Johnny." Ash said as she took a seat next to him, placing a paw on his arm. The porcupine was close to tears herself. Weeks before the gala began, Ash had believed that attending the event was a bad idea, considering all that's happened in redshore before.
But despite that, she still went with Buster and the others. Mainly to make sure Buster would be okay in case something went wrong. And now with everything that had happened, she wished that Buster had listened to her.
"None of us could've known this would happen, especially to Nooshy! All of this is just...b-bad luck!"
"Bad luck?" Johnny turned down face Ash, tears running down his face. "This is more than bad luck, this was an attempted murder! Buster almost died and Nooshy-"
"Sir!" Johnny flinched at the sudden sound from the nurse behind him, a calico cat. "The other patients can hear you." It was at this moment when Johnny noticed the other animals in the waiting room, along with the cast. All of them were looking at him with concern and discomfort.
Rosita went over to Johnny as the nurse cleared her throat. "Now then, you're here to see..." she checked the clipboard she held in his paws, "...Ms. Nicole Wright and Buster moon, yes?"
Johnny nodded, Ryan sat up in his seat, The others went over to stand with the two as the nurse continued, "Well, we have good news about Ms. Wright. She's stable, the wound wasn't deep enough to cause serious injuries but she did loose a lot of blood from the stab wound. As long as she rests, in time, she should make a full recovery."
Johnny was relieved to hear that Nooshy was going to okay, he wiped away a few tears as Ryan put a paw on his shoulder. "Now as for Mr. Moon, he woke up not too long ago."
"He did?"
"Can we see him?" Meena asked.
"And Nooshy as well?" Johnny added.
The nurse thought about it for a moment before sighing, "Alright, but not too many at once and only for a little while. We aren't really supposed allow visitors at this hour..."
Rosita turned to Johnny, "you go on and check on her. We'll try to explain everything to Buster." she said, referring to Nooshy. Johnny thanked Rosita as the group of animals followed the nurse to the rooms where their friends were now resting.
More of this story is on the way! If you have any questions, headcanons, or even story prompts you want to see, feel free to ask! I hope you enjoyed this first part of The Aftermath!
Until the next post, have a great day!

"We meet yet again, Invincible!" D.A. Sinclair shouted with his usual dramatic flair. He had escaped from the government facility a couple months ago and holed up in a sewer, making more of his fucked up 'reanimen' who the new Guardians of the Globe were now fighting.
His army of cyborgs were unleashed onto the fleeing crowd, more destructive than self destructive this time. Sinclair must've taken notes from his previous failures.
While they targeted the heroes, civilians were caught in the crossfire left and right. Dupli-Kate evacuated the remaining civilians while Shrinking-Rae fought off any cyborgs coming near. The rest of the team tried to disarm the cyborgs without killing them, which Mark made them agree to do before the fight.
Invincible went through one after the other, knocking out the cyborgs, one could tell he was holding back. Monster Girl knocked out a good chunk of them, but accidentally killed one or two with the strength of her monster form. One of them slammed her against a building, sending a big crack up the wall, no doubt affecting civilians in the upper floors. Shrinking-Rae rushed to save those in the building affected by the crack, while Monster Girl slumped against the wall, down for the count.
Rex-Splode made it past the wall of reanimen defending Sinclair and shot a projectile at his torso. He stumbled as the magnet hit his side and exploded, only grazing him but doing damage all the same. He cupped a hand around the wound, and when he regained his composure, looked directly at Rex.
"You'll pay for that!" With a movement of his hand, D. A. Sinclair ordered the cyborg to target Rex-Splode.
"Sure I will, asshole!" Rex smirked and raised his hand again, aiming for Sinclair's head. The cyborg intervened, lunging towards Rex, who dodged and backed away. He couldn't kill the guy, but he really didn't want to get beat to a bloody pulp today. He made a split second decision to shoot him in the legs to slow him down. He did so, but all he received for his efforts was the sound of a small metal impact. He'd missed the human parts, the projectile only slightly slowed the cyborg.
Just as he was about to shoot again, the cyborg grabbed his hand, crushing flesh and metal alike. Rex doubled over as a wave of pain hit him like a brick. He tried to push past it after a few moments, looking up just in time to see Robot come up behind the reaniman, knocking him out with a punch. Invincible grabbed a piece of metal from a street sign that had been crushed in the wreckage of the battle and bent it tightly around Sinclair, effectively trapping him. And since the cyborgs were all either knocked out or no longer under his control, the battle was over.
"You couldnt've done that earlier?" Rex complained as Mark tied up Sinclair, wincing in pain. Several members of the team gave him a familiar look of annoyance.
"Maybe if you weren't too busy cowering we would've finished this sooner." Samson stated.
"I wasn't--!" Rex began, but he doubled over again before he could finish, another wave of pain hitting him.
The rest of the team had sustained some injuries as well, but they were able to shake it off for the most part by the time they arrived back at the guardians' base.
"Hey Robot-" Rex tried to catch him before they fully returned to the group.
"It's Rudy."
"Right. Rudy, can you uh.." he pointed to his busted up hand, the blood dried onto the metal. Rudy made a wincing sound at the sight, then looked to their friends, who were in a group celebrating the won battle.
"Hm.. That's going to take a bit to fix, if you can wait I'll fix it in a couple minutes." he decided. Rex opened his mouth to protest, but closed it and nodded in agreement. The two rejoined the group.
They spent a few minutes having conversations in small groups, some about the fight, and some about completely different things. After about half an hour passed, Mark got up from his seat, explaining that he needed to get back home, as he had some homework to finish up. Slowly the group dissolved, rejoining their everyday lives. Rex ran to catch Rudy before he and Amanda left.
"Hey Rudy, can you fix this thing before you go? If you couldn't tell, it *kinda* hurts." Rex gestured to his hand, pulling the glove up a bit to show the broken metal and bloody skin.
"Can it wait, Rex? Me and Amanda are getting lunch." he paused, conflicted, "you can join if you want." he offered politely, but judging by the looks on his and Amanda's face, it wasn't an invitation.
"I'll pass." Rex sighed, unsure if he was more angry or sad about it at this point. Rudy shrugged as if to say "your loss", and he and Amanda left the base. Rex left as well a few moments later, Kate and Rae's conversation fading behind him as he made his way to his apartment.
Rex tried to ignore it, he really did. But god, it hurt. He must've been in shock before, but now that he had time to really think about and feel the injury, the pain set in. The metal of his hand had torn into his flesh and he was afraid to move it for fear of further lodging it into his arm. After awhile of trying to ignore the injury, Rex decided he couldn't take it anymore. If no one would help him, he would help himself.
Rex knew a thing or two about robotics since he got his powers from the devices in his wrists, and had been taught a bit at the facility for use in battlefield situations. So he got some spare tools he used for small repairs on his arms and got to work fixing his hand. It took just about all night, but by the end he was fairly confident that he'd at least helped the situation.
He must've done something right because next time the guardians fought a villain, he was able to shoot the projectiles from his hand. No need to ask Rudy for help. And the next time it was damaged, and he fixed it himself again. This time his aim was slightly off. He hit several walls, the ground, and nearly a civilian before his desired target, but it was fine, right? He hit the guy eventually, he missed the civilian, and it still worked decently well.
He continued to repair it himself, using the knowledge from his previous mishaps to improve upon it. It continued to have slight malfunctions, but it worked.
Until it didn't.
He aimed, and shot, but the small explosive wouldn't budge. It wouldn't leave his hand, something blocked it. The BB lit up as he tried to shoot, but it exploded in his hand.
"Fuck!" Rex yelled, throwing a magnet from his belt with his offhand and dodging out of the way of an oncoming attack.
The team made quick work of the enemy, but not before they got a few good hits in on Dupli-Kate and Monster Girl as well. Amanda was slumped against a wall while Kate Prime nursed an injury on her side.
Back at the base, Rudy was busy being at Amanda's side. She had a minor concussion, but overall she was alright. The excessive blood from a cut on her head made the injury look more serious than it was. They were thankful that she was alright, minus a bit of blood loss and a head injury.
Rex wanted to celebrate her quick recovery longer than he did, but hesitantly left after drinks were had and the party died down a bit. He knew he would have to work on his hand for awhile to get it in working order and get any sleep that night.
It was already much later in the day by the time he arrived at his apartment. Repairs went well for the most part. He had passed out before realigning the metal, but quickly aligned it before heading to the base that morning, presumably deeming it functional, which was an achievement in Rex's opinion considering how badly it was broken and lack of materials. He got hardly any sleep, but he wasn't exactly the type to usually get a full eight hours every night anyways.
The next day after training, Rudy approached Rex unexpectedly.
"Hey Rex, I noticed your hand got busted up pretty badly yesterday. Need me to fix it?" Rudy offered, glancing at Rex's barely-together hand with a hint of what might be worry. Rex scoffed.
"Oh no it's fine," he said, half proud of his work and half bitter at Rudy. "I figured it out."
Rudy gave him a curious look, pausing for a moment before repeating, "You 'figured it out'?"
Rex nodded, taking off his glove and showing off his hand, which he'd barely been able to peice back together the night before. "I figured it out."
He'd had to patch up the hand with spare metal parts and slightly off-size bolts, but it wasn't too bad of a job. From a certain angle, it'd look fine even. A bit busted up, used for sure, but functional. Now, from the angle of someone with as much knowledge in robotics as Rudy had, the sight was returned after a long pause with a vaguely annoyed, "this is going to take awhile."
"What're you two doing?" Amanda asked, walking into the workroom with a half empty carton of disguised booze.
"Rex tried to fix his hand. By himself." Rudy explained condescendingly after a pause that made it obvious he was focused on his work. Rex scoffed at the answer.
"I think I did a great job, thank you very much." And besides being proud of his attempt at fixing it, the way he phrased it made Rex sound like an idiot, as if he hadn't asked for help several times before deciding to fix the problem himself.
"You put the metal covering back in place just off enough to block the projectile, the bolts are all the wrong size, and part of it is still jabbing into your arm. This isn't even the right kind of.." he trailed off, clicking a new bolt in place before mumbling, "how did you even fight like this-?!"
"Well it's not like you bothered to help me when I asked.." Rex answered with the tone of an upset child.
"You didn't say how bad it was."
"I showed you! You saw it!" Rex nearly shouted, frustration and anger bubbling up in his chest and out his mouth.
"I would have fixed this easily if you'd asked sooner."
"I did ask sooner!"
"You could've asked when I wasn't busy." Rudy spoke nearly absent-mindedly, focusing intently on prying part of the metal out of damaged tissue that tried to heal around it.
Rex hissed in pain before responding, "When were you not busy? I asked you like three times, you told me to wait!"
"I just told you, I was busy. Why didn't you go to Cecil for this?"
"Oh yeah, like I'm asking some creepy ass guy from the government to fix my hand- No fucking way!" Rex tried to ignore the hint of fear in his chest at the idea of some shady government operative poking and prodding at him in a blindingly white room.
"You'd rather bother me than ask someone whose job it is to fix things for help?"
"I'd rather ask my friend for help!"
"You could have asked when I wasn't busy." Rudy repeated, obviously struggling to keep his cool. "I'm not going to drop everything for you, Rex!"
"Yeah? Of course not, but I bet you'd drop everything for her." Rex pointed at Amanda, who had a front row seat to the argument standing in the doorway. The two locked eyes for a moment, then Rudy looked away to glare at Rex.
"At least she offers something to the team. She's an invaluable asset and I need to keep her safe." He didn't need to shout, his tone and words cut deeper than raw anger could.
"Well pardon me for wanting to be able to use my fucking hand--"
"Excuse me?" Amanda snapped, glaring at Rudy. "Rex is my friend, and I won't reciprocate your crush on me just because you look like him and aged down for me. I don't owe you shit. And being a dick to the guy whose face you stole doesn't make you more appealing."
"But I--" Rudy was at a loss for words; a rare occurrence. Scrambling to regain his composure, he blurted out, "But I did this for you!"
"I don't owe you shit for that." she repeated firmly. "And if how you treat Rex is any indication, I wouldn't want to be with you, if this is how you treat a long time friend who needs help."
"Exactly!" Rex agreed, relieved that Amanda stepped in. Rudy glared at him before catching himself and looking back towards Amanda, who sighed angrily.
"He couldn't have asked Cecil!?" Rudy reiterated, grasping at straws trying to 'win' the argument he'd already lost.
"He's obviously uncomfortable with that, or he would've done it already. Something you would notice if you bothered to give him a second glance." Amanda snapped back. "He came to you for help, and you lectured him for it."
"I.."
"Let's go, Rex. This asshole isn't worth our time." she decided. Rex followed her out the door to rejoin the rest of the group with a satisfied sort of pride in his chest. It felt nice to be defended by someone other than himself.
The door slammed shut.

The Teacher of a Society
————
When Mrs. Nomondai's message had reached the other students, almost all of them started to get out of their seats to begin their first assignment. To be honest, I'm not too sure if I can talk to the other students yet. They all look busy with themselves anyways..heh.
Ok, I'm just lying to myself. I'm not ready to talk to any of them yet. My nerves are to high. Maybe I can just start with the teacher? I do need to properly thank her after all.
With that revelation, I got out of my seat and headed to were my teacher was located behind her desk. She was still holding Sumami in her arms, kinda like a child with their favorite stuffed animal.
When she noticed that someone was by her desk, she quickly looked up and smiled in my direction. By the look on her face, I don't think she was expecting people to come talk to her so soon already.
"Oh! Hi there Nikonomu! Did you wanna talk about something or did you want to see Sumami?" She said while getting out of her chair.
"Oh, I actually wanted to talk to you if that's ok? And maybe after I can talk to Sumami too if that's ok as well." I really hope I'm not interrupting her time, but she did say it was ok to talk to her.
When she heard my remark, she smiled softly while she put down Sumami gently on the ground. "Of course Nikonomu! Ask away! I can't promise I'll answer all of them though. Any questions about my social security number and my life savings will be shut down immediately."
"What? No! I don't want to know about that stuff..." I don't even know my own social security number. Why would I want to know hers? "I kinda just wanted to ask some simple questions and stuff.."
My teacher started snickering at my discomfort, almost as if she knew that I would get uncomfortable. "That ok Nikonomu. I'm just messing with ya, mostly. What is it that you really wanted to know?"
Oh shoot. Now I don't remember what I was going to say. I need to think of something quick so this conversation can get somewhere. Oh wait! I know. "Um.. just a simple question but, how do you know my name? My teachers at my old school didn't even know it."
Mrs. Nomondai's face kinda looked angry for a second, but it was quickly hidden with a knowing smile. "It is kinda simple actually! I just looked you guys up in the school files. I wanted to get an idea about you all before I actually get to know you all, you know what I'm saying?"
My head nodded along to what she was saying. "Yeah, I think do." That's actually really thoughtful to actually want to get to know your students. Hopefully the other teachers had the same idea.
Hm. Now to ask another question. Now that I think about it, did she even reveal her Ultimate to us yet? Was she just really forgetful or was it something that she was ashamed of. Like how it was for me..
"D-Do you mind telling me what your Ultimate is? It's ok if you are uncomfortable telling me it though, since you didn't tell us at the beginning of class.
My teacher just stood there for a minute before violently smacking her hand to her forehead. It took me back for a second but it seemed as if nobody else noticed her abrupt action.
"I knew I was forgetting something damn it!" She grumbled at herself for cursing before she slipped into a more contained demeanor. "I mean uh- let me rephrase that."
Getting into a more confident pose, Mrs Nomondai struck out her hand in order for me to shake it.
"I know you already know my name, but let's start out this year with a more proper introduction! My name is Nototsū Nomondai! And I am the Ultimate Pain Resistor!"
Tumblr media
Ultimate Pain Resistor? That kinda explains her more rough looking appearance. Her entire body looked like it was covered face to toe with scars and burns. Self inflicted maybe? I will wait to ask about that, too personal.
Moving on from her skin, she had pale teal hair that was in four different braids that connected to the buns in her hair. One of the braids, the biggest braid, held most of her hair in place while the other three were on the sides of her head and one was on top. Although she was a bit older, she certainly didn't look like it, just a bit weathered I guess-
"Uh kid, you gonna shake my hand or what?"
"Oh yeah! Sorry!" I quickly shook her hand in embarrassment. I should've probably done that in the first place before zoning out too much.
"So, um, you can't feel any pain at all?"
My teacher shook her head. "Nope! Nothing at all. You can stab me, burn me, slap me, and I still wouldn't feel nothing! I'm good at being a human shield essentially."
"Oh w-ow..." That's really disturbing, maybe I can find a more lighter topic to talk about.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a black wedding band glitter on her finger. Marriage sounds like a good topic to talk about. "Not to sound intrusive, but uh, who are you married too?" I had said.
The mood of my teacher had immediately skyrocketed in a pure untamable expression. In just one glance you could tell that she adored her significant other.
"You're not being intrusive at all Nikonomu! I love talking about my wife!" She started to reach for her pocket in a speed that I would've never thought was humanly possible. In her grasp was a purple wallet that you could tell she held dear. When she had opened it, the folds had undone themselves to reveal several photos of herself and her family.
Before talking any further, she sucked in a large breath as if she was preparing to talk for an hour or even more. She continued by pointing eagerly at the first photo. "This is Kura! She is the one I'm married too. We have been together for about fifteen years!"
She then pointed to a lower picture of two teenagers giving the finger at the camera. Actually, in further inspection, one of the kids put up their pointer finger instead. They looked like they even struggled to do that as well.
"That is Tokadora and that is Kiseki! They are my two daughters and they are both 14 year old." When she was done showing off her family, she carefully put back her wallet in her pocket. Her actions kinda reminded me of the dads I have seen on tv when they gloated about their kids to others.
"So.. does your wife also work here also well?" I said in response. She nodded her head before speaking directly.
"She works in the School's Detective Agency and is one of the Child Care Teacher's. She likes to care for people so it kinda fits." She said while answering my question.
More stuff I didn't know about..? "Wait, this school has its own detective agency?"
She nodded once again. "Yes it does! The school has other sections to it as well, but those will all be explained at the entrance ceremony we will be having soon." When she had said that, she checked her watch to see what time it was. "We still have time before that happens, so I wouldn't worry about rushing to talk to your other classmates."
Oh shoot. She figured me out. "H-How did you know I was stalling.." When I had said that, she looked at me with a face that almost told me that she didn't think I was serious.
She let out a sigh before continuing. "Kid, nobody talks to their teacher directly after they say that you can freely talk to others. Students don't normally like to talk to their teachers in a friendly conversation you know? It's most likely to only know what their homework is or what is happening next in the day."
Wow. She was blunt. "I'm sorry.. I'm just nervous about taking to the other students. I'm not used to this kinda environment.. It's too new to me I guess."
Seeing my mood damper, she put a supportive hand on my shoulder. "Hey hey, I'm just playing with ya a bit. It's ok that you're talking to me first. If you are using me to help make yourself less nervous, then I have done my job right! Which is unusual for me I guess but hey, I gotta start somewhere right!"
Even though she is a bit blunt, and probably foaled mouthed, she does do a good job at comforting people. "R-Right! I guess I'm just not to good at taking jokes as what they are."
After I had said that. She took her hand off of my head to cross her arms. "It's ok if you don't realize that some words are intended as jokes, but is important that you say something if they do affect you! I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings. You are my student after all!"
When had she finished talking, she put her hand onto of my head to ruffle my hair. To be honest, it felt nice considering nobody has done that to me before until today. "Yeah, I try to say something if that happens.." If I'm being even more honest with myself, I probably wouldn't say anything. I'm not the type to speak out for myself.
She probably realized what I said was a lie, but she didn't comment on it. "Good! Like I said, I wouldn't want to offend ya on accident."
Taking her eyes off me, she drew her attention to her phone sitting on her desk. "Well, it's probably time I'd cut this conversation short. After you mentioned my wife, I thought that I probably should go check on her. Right now she is babysitting all of the kids because the Child Care is under construction."
"And by all of the the kids, you mean just your own right..?" I asked.
Her face had lost all of her color when I had said that. "By all of the kids, I mean ALL of the staff kids."
"O-Oh...." Jesus, that sounds almost impossible. No, correction, it probably is. Poor Mrs. Kura. I hope that she still has her head after this.
This conversation kinda has been everywhere. It makes me think that I'm forgetting something..
Oh wait! I think I remember. "Mrs. Nomondai! Before you go talk, I forgot to tell you thank you for helping me out earlier. I was kinda getting suffocated by the others..."
"No problem Nikonomu. I'm going to try talk to Kura now, but if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to get me!" She paused to look at her phone for a second.
"I can tell that you're still hesitant to go to the other students, so why don't you go talk to Sumami like you originally said? I'm not too sure if I can get a hold of Makoto in time for the ceremony, so it's probably best for you to get to know what Helpami's are, and you can get to know each other so you're not too scared of them anymore." She said while finishing her thoughts.
That doesn't sound like a terrible idea. "Ok then! Thank you for your time again. I hope you can get a hold of your wife as well."
"Me too.." And with that, she had officially ended our conversation. I guess it is time to talk to Sumami. Hopefully after him I can finally talk to the others as well....

His members upset you
Pairings: Park Jimin / Kim Taehyung / Jeon Jeongguk x Reader
Genre: Angst, fluff
Request: "Please do “His members upset you” but the maknae line ❤️❤️❤️❤️ btw your writing is amazing"
A/N: The hyung line's one can be found in my masterlist 💞 Also, I realised I always make Jimin's reactions angsty so I changed things up a little bit hehe.
Tumblr media
Park Jimin
“Baby…” Jimin gave you a questioning look, “heels?”
“What about it?” you wondered, standing up after having put them on and walking towards one of the mirrors in the store. “Don't you like how I look in them?”
“They make your legs look fantastic” he gushed immediately, making his way over to you. “But I thought you found them uncomfortable?”
“I just want to try something new” you simply replied.
However, once the two of you were back at the dorms after your shopping day, Jimin for some reason started to feel like the intention behind buying high heels was not only you wanting to try something new, but you wanting to look taller.
And his realisation kinda had to do with the words Hoseok had said later that day, when all of you were having dinner and Jimin told them about the things you guys had bought earlier.
“I hope this is just for aesthetics because you'll still be the shortest person we've met”.
Now, you had never considered yourself a short person, nor had the rest of the people you had met through your life, for your height was actually pretty average for a woman your age.
But you were shorter than Jimin.
With that, plus being also a little shorter than the others’ partners, you were officially the shortest of the group, and you were reminded of that by all of them every single time they had the chance to. It was as if all the height related jokes that used to be directed at your boyfriend had been transferred to you. And you were not very fond of it, to be honest.
One look at you was all Jimin needed to know it was definitely not about you wanting to experiment new things. No, this was about your height and you being self conscious.
He could not let that happen.
“Okay, new rule” he drew everyone's attention, “no one is allowed to make fun of Y/N's height”.
Yoongi smirked. “You do know that means all our jokes are going back to being directed at you, right?”
“Yes, I know, you hypocrite who's only one centimeter taller than me” your boyfriend's bold words made everyone laugh. Everyone but Yoongi, that's for sure.
Not minding about that, and focusing only on the bright smile he had managed to get from you, Jimin pulled you towards him, pressing his lips to your temple.
“Only I can tease my shorty from now on”.
Well, you guessed that was one of the perks that came with being your boyfriend. And as a reward for having sacrificed himself for you, of course.
Tumblr media
Kim Taehyung
Taehyung was a very affectionate person. And just like that, he expected his significant other to be the same, which is why he absolutely lived for your daily calls and constant visits when you knew he was free from work. They were the highlight of his day, to say the least.
So, when you stopped doing so out of the blue, it was normal for his mood to drop a little bit. But he thought nothing of it. Maybe you were just busy.
When you started also blowing off his intentions of going to see you, however, he knew something was definitely wrong – that being confirmed when you had him beg you for hours to go see him to the dorms one evening.
“Oh, look who's back!” Namjoon announced after seeing Tae open the front door for you.
“Couldn't live any longer without your oxygen TaeTae?” Jeongguk teased from the sofa.
You felt Taehyung tense by your side, making you close your eyes. This was exactly what you didn't want to confront.
“What the hell was that?” he snapped by your side, leaving you behind to go face his members.
“Nothing” Jin was the one to speak up, “it's just funny how clingy she is”.
Tae's eyes went straight to fix on yours. “Is this why you've been so distant lately?” he softly asked; his heart hurting once you tried to turn around and leave without a word.
He was fast to grab your hand, though, pulling you to his body and protectively squeezing your upper arm before his stare turned cold as he focused it back on his friends.
“I don't appreciate you calling my girlfriend that. Especially when it's so far from the truth”.
We just thought you–”
“Well, you thought wrong” he cut Hoseok off. “I love having her around and it's really not your place to make such comments. If I considered her clingy I would've talked to her. Talked” he emphasised, “because mocking her like you've been doing is straight up rude”.
“Taehyung-ssi” Jimin tried to explain, “we didn't think it'd upset you so much, we were just messing around”.
“You've upset her, of course I'm getting upset too. Besides, how could I not when Y/N's been distancing herself from me? I thought I had done something wrong but turns out it was you guys?” he furrowed his eyebrows.
“Tae–”
“No” it was fair to say, Taehyung was livid. “You know she's my escape from this crazy life we live, and you don't get to decide the dynamics of our relationship for us”.
By this point, all of them were just sitting there with their lowered heads, not knowing what to say.
But Tae for sure did.
“I want you all to apologise to her. Right now”.
Tumblr media
Jeon Jeongguk
Although Jeongguk and you had been dating for nearly a year now, everything was still pretty new not only to him, since he had never been in a serious relationship before due to his busy schedule, but also to his members.
Which is why they had all freaked out when Jin was cleaning up around the dorms one day and found a black lingerie bra that most definitely did not belong to his girlfriend – and after asking around one by one, the truth came out by Jeongguk that it was yours.
Now, his hyungs trusted that you guys were being safe and all, but you were still babies to them. That being the reason they would fake cry every time any sexual topic was touched in your presence.
And it came a point when you started feeling like what you guys were doing was wrong, which Jeongguk had denied the second you let him know your thoughts. You were a couple, for crying out loud, how could that be wrong?
But he said nothing, not wanting to seem disrespectful towards his hyungs. Of course, that until they were the ones to make you really upset. Jeongguk knew then where his priorities were.
“Okay, you all need to stop this now” he finally snapped one evening, furiously closing the door right after he came back from dropping you off at yours. Everyone stood frozen.
“Wha–”
“I'm not a baby anymore!” he threw his arms up in frustration.
“Jeongguk, we know that…”
“No, you don't” he furrowed his eyebrows, “because you still treat me like one. I know I'm the maknae here but I'm an adult now. Y/N's an adult!” he said as if it was brand new information, “and you have no right to make her feel bad about her sexual life. About our sexual life” he corrected.
“Guk-ah” Taehyung looked at him apologetically, just like the rest, “we're sorry, we didn't know it bothered you guys so much”.
Jeongguk sighed, trying to calm himself down.
“I know, just… please, stop” he pleaded, “she was supposed to stay over tonight but you really upset her today with all your comments to the point she just wanted to leave, and I… I hate seeing her like that” he weakly shrugged.
Watching Joon open his mouth to talk, he stopped him by shaking his head.
“Whatever, I'll go back to hers. Be back tomorrow”.
Because he both just wanted to be with you and didn't feel like being with his hyungs right then.
And maybe then, just then, it hit them all, the fact that their maknae was no longer a little boy and shouldn't be treated like one anymore.

Diamante d’Italia: Chapter 5
Tumblr media
(Chapter 5: Another day in paradise)
Josuke grit his teeth, his chin resting in his hand as he held the phone slightly away from his ear, though the guffaw that continued to ring out from the speaker could still be very much heard.
He had already called his Mom to check in with her when he first woke up this morning and since he had the whole day ahead of him he waited until after a much needed shower to call his best friend.
That now seemed like a mistake after listening to him howl with laughter for almost five minutes now.
He winced as Crazy Diamonds hands ghosted over the mottled flesh of his back, sharp pinging following their careful movements as the stand dutifully patched him up.
He was just glad the bed made it easier to sit down with that one.
From what he saw in the bathroom mirror, where those junkies had kicked him in the back had left a bruise that was the size of a basket ball and it was as black and green as Rohans signature hair.
Spots of the same colours along with splotches of an ugly purple were also sprouting on his upper left arm and shoulder. Not to mention the particularly ugly one that was currently taking up residence on his thigh and.... a more unsavory place just slightly north of there.
He had definitely been right about hurting in the morning that's for sure because he practically yelped when rolling over, causing him to fall out of bed and onto the carpeted floor to add to it all.
Staring up into the face of Crazy Diamond looking down at him from where he laid half-whimpering and aching all over was not a way he would recommend starting your day.
The fan of the hotel room spun slowly above him from where he sat on the huge marshmallowy bed in only a towel, his damp pale skin starting to dry and chill beneath the breeze.
"--so-so... lemme get this straight-... you..." Josuke rolled his eyes as Okuyasu struggled to keep his giggles in check over the phone. "You get there..... and-... hehehe.... and- not even like 2 hours.... -and you get beat up?"
"Yes." He sighed.
"BWAHAHAHAHA!!!"
"--oh Josuke!" He wheezed into the receiver, dying down into giggles again. "--I'm so sorry buddy- but that's.... -that's funny.... oww... owww my stomach..."
Josuke grunted, pulling the phone away from his head to avoid going deaf in his right ear as more barking laughter rang out.
He could practically feel Crazy Diamonds own eyeroll as they continued their ministrations on his back.
"Yeah, yeah. I know." He groaned. "Just don't tell Mom, I don't want her to worry about me."
"So what happened after? You must've gotten away somehow right? Did CD put them in their place?" His words were almost drowned out by the obnoxious crinkling of a bag in the background, followed by the unmistakable crunch of potato chips drilling into his eardrum.
"No. I didn't even think about it. It was all happening so fast all I could think of was to grab hold of my suitcase and not let go."
"Oh man, you didn't lose your luggage did you?" Okuyasu questioned after swallowing his mouthful of junkfood very quickly. "Your Mom would have a fit!"
A smile found its way to Josukes face, "No actually. Someone helped me, oh man you should've seen him! He put a run to them and he was really cool too!"
Josuke proceeded to tell Okuyasu all about the one and only Abbacchio and their time together along with meeting Bucciarati.
He spared no details in telling him all about the scrumptious meal he had devoured that night, he could practically hear the other teenager drooling all over the phone as he described the juicy details of prosciutto stuffed chicken breast.
Bruno looked very anxious and warned him it was very dangerous to wander the streets at night, most especially when he was a tourist carrying all his possessions that didn't know where to go.
After Josuke had eaten last night, Bruno asked him if he was staying somewhere and the teenager realized he had completely forgotten about finding a Hotel!
The streets by then were dark and it was late, they had talked for so long but the time had just flew right bye. Jouske had grabbed his bag and thanked the two men graciously for the food and their company, making sure he bowed deeply in respect as he done so, about to head out to find one before he was stopped.
More importantly, he wouldn't even be able to read any signs leading to a Hotel.
Josuke realized he had gotten ahead of himself and accepted the mans proposal to take him to the Hotel a few blocks away, which he did and Josuke had to say, the place was like paradise on Earth.
The building itself was huge! Not to mention high-class. The lobby had a chandelier that was the size of his Livingroom back home! And the fountain in the center of it was bigger than the one outside his School!
Bruno chuckled seeing the owlish expression on his face as they entered through the glass sliding doors, the reflection of the golden lights above them on the polished white marble floor made his baby blue eyes sparkle. Abbacchio simply opted for staying outside and smoking a much needed cigarette while his partner helped Josuke arrange a room.
"Oh man!" Okuyasu said through another mouthful of chips. "That sounds A-B-C-Delicious! I wanna eat that!"
"You'll have to bug Tonio about it if you're that eager." Josuke laughed. "Speaking of food, you've eaten a full meal today right?"
The crunching came to a sudden stop.
"Define--"
"As in you've eaten something cooked and not just junkfood." He interrupted, drumming his fingers on his knee, he already knew his answer however.
Silence... he could actually hear the sounds of Stray Cat (whom both boys had taken to aptly nicknaming 'Guns and Roses') purring along with the feint sound of the TV playing in the background.
"Okuyasu!"
"Sorry! I'll eat real food tomorrow!" He whined. "I just forgot is all!"
"I've actually just been binge watching this goofy tv series. I've heard about it for a while but I finally decided to get into it. Man, I'm gonna be so sore tomorrow, I've been sitting on my ass for so long!" He cackled.
Josuke huffed, however deciding to not press him further on the matter and take his word.
Okuyasu needed to take better care of himself and Josuke usually had to remind him of the importance of it, along with helping his friend pilot through all his emotional troubles.
"It's this Anime thing called 'Dodo's Wacky Quest'. It's pretty good!" There was a pause as a indignant 'meow' sounded close to the phone, followed by more rustling of the chip bag. Okuyasu grunted, the phone crackling  as he moved to hand the living plant a chip. "The series is pretty long though. But hopefully I'll have most of it done by the time you get back."
'Speak for yourself...' Josuke thought, shifting slightly on the bed to try and inevitably get more comfortable.
Crazy Diamond was almost finished with his back, the worst one was next.
"What series is it?" He couldn't help but ask.
"Huh," Josuke rubbed his chin, smiling. "I'll have to watch some of it with you."
"That'd be cool! Dodo kinda reminds me of you actually. I dunno if I've met any Jio in my life though, dude gives me the willies..."
Crazy Diamond leaned over him and tapped his leg, shooting him a look.
"I'd better go man. I'll try to talk to you tomorrow, remember your promise!" He said into the phone, turning away from his stand.
"Ok. Ok. I will. Jeeze..." the eyeroll he was getting was evident in the others voice. "Be safe JoJo!"
"I will. Bye."
He put the phone back in its cradle on the bedside stand and sighed, swatting away the phantom hands that pulled on the towel covering him and ignoring the exasperated 'Dora' as he shunted it aside himself.
'Lay on your stomach.' Came the telepathic order from Crazy Diamond. 'I can give you a massage after I'm done with the last bruise to help relax you further.'
He was just glad he didn't decide to tell Okuyasu about his last bruise, otherwise he would've probably passed out from laughter, resulting in Josuke to have to end the call promptly.
He'd never be able to live this down from his stand alone....
☆☆☆
There was so much he wanted to do, and so much he wanted to see. He decided to leave his suitcase behind within the safety of his room (not wanting a repeat of yesterday) carrying just his wallet, a disposable camera his Mom had given him to take pictures and his handy dandy comb of course.
Finally walking again and not shuffling along uncomfortably like an old man (as he had been doing earlier), Josuke strutted downstairs to the lobby without a hair out of place.
His precious mane had been properly lathered, rinsed, gelled, combed and hairsprayed and he was ready to tackle the day!
The golden charms adorning his uniform gleamed like his eyes and he walked with pep in his step, shoes shined and clicking on the polished marble floor.
He needed to tackle business first before he went about to getting some breakfast. He had already had a cup of strong instant coffee after the massage given to him by his stand, using the machine inside of his room (this Hotel really had everything).
"Hello." He greeted the lady at the desk in the lobby, a woman in her sixties with greying hair pulled back into a bun, maroon lipstick and matchig rectangular spectacles. "I was just wondering if I could pay for my nightly stay now and maybe pay for tomorrow too?"
"Can I have your name, dear?" She asked, already typing away on the keyboard of the large white box computer before her.
"Josuke Higashikata. J-O-S-U-K-E."
Her long black nails clicked and clacked away loudly on the keyboard, he watched in silence as her dark red lips pursed, her eyes scanning the screen.
"It says here you're already covered for your full stay."
'Embarrassing' wouldn't be a word he would use to describe a situation where he had to call his Nephew and demurely ask if he could get a lift home like a drunk teenager calling a half-alseep Parent in the middle of the night.
He blinked at her, raising both his eyebrows.
"Umm... I don't think that's right. I only booked the room last night..." he trailed off, feeling his heart starting to pound in his chest.
He prayed to God this somehow wouldn't end with him being in debt with no way home.
She hummed, "It says you're fully covered. You just need to inform the Hotel of the date you're departing and a direct deposit is already in order." She explained.
That answered absolutely none of his questions.
"How is that possible?" He asked, doing his best to keep his voice calm as he rubbed the back of his neck idly.
More typing and clicking.
"It says here that your stay has been covered by..... a Mr. Bruno Bucciarati. He arranged for the bill to be footed to him." Came her reply at last, turning in her chair to look at him.
It took the Highschooler a moment to process that, blinking like an idiot as she stared at him.
What.... when.... how did..... why did....?
"Oh.... uh.... I-I see. Thank you." He told the older woman at last, with a half-hearted wave goodbye as he left the lobby, out into the world of golden sunshine awaiting him outside.
Each question seemed to short-circuit in his brain, he couldn't decide on what to ask first.
Josuke finally realized he was lingering and staring as the old woman addressed him again, before averting his eyes, his face tinging a little pink.
Why on Earth would the man put himself through so much trouble? Paying out of his pocket for him at a Hotel where people who looked like they wiped their asses with dollar bills stayed there no less! It didn't make sense!
This Hotel seemed a little one the pricy side, he had actually been wary about staying here the night but didn't want to be rude and ask Bucciarati to take him to another Hotel, so he decided to risk it and see how much it was the next day (silently praying he wouldn't be dialing Jotaro Kujo afterwards with a speech prepared of course).
This however changed everything.
He was still a virtual stranger to Bruno and his partner, and he didn't feel like he had earned such a kind gesture. He didn't have a doubt in his mind that both men were wealthy but this just felt akin to stealing in Josukes eyes.
It was the least he could do. It's what he wanted to do. It's what he was raised to do.
Josuke leaned up against the stone wall of the Hotel, considering his options. He could tell the Hotel that wasn't necessary and to cancel that previous order and allow him to pay.
Or he could find Bucciarati again (it couldn't be that hard) and offer to pay him back, if not in money maybe he could do something in return for him.
That did it.
He took one last look at the Hotel to remember the name as he prepared to cross the street (he needed something to go off of if he was gonna find a way back afterall).
He had a new mission added onto today.
He was going to do some sight seeing, eat some more damn delicious food and keep his eyes open for either one of the men he dined with last night.
"Albergo brillante Diamante..." he murmured, absentmindedly scratching his cheek as he did his best to pronounce the words (in what he hoped was the correct manor).
"Hmm... wonder what that means."
All he truly knew was that he Josuke Higashikata, had a mission he was going to see through today.
...
He mentally added 'buying a dictionary' to his list today as he narrowly avoided a car coming in the street, yelling out a "Sorry!" To the driver laying on his horn (who wasn't supposed to have the right away).

MAKE OVER
Chapter 14: Tinashe
Jung Hoseok x Reader
Reader as Kang Hyeonji
SUMMARY: When Kang Hyeonji transformed herself into a striking redhead, the entire male population of Seoul stood up and took notice. But her make over was for Jung Hoseok’s benefit alone. He began to show interest in the new look but not in the way she wanted. Suddenly he was over-protective, perhaps a little jealous. It seemed that the idea of having a relationship with her couldn’t be further from his mind. The girl however wants more. So it was time for an ultimatum. If Hoseok didn’t want Hyeonji to lose her virginity to another admirer, he had no option but to make love to her himself.
Tumblr media
Another talk less drive to Hoseok's home. More nerve racking tension.
And doubts. Terrible doubts.
What am I doing? Hyeonji agonized. This isn't me, I'm not a sex-monster. I know I'm not. So what am I doing letting Hoseok reduce me to nothing but a sexual challenge?
A member of Bangtan Sonyeondan was belting out a song, singing about love in their distinctive style.
Love! God, but she was beginning to hate that word. And the state. Being in love was totally self-destructive. Look what it had done to her mother. She'd loved her father who'd been a womanizer and wastrel. He'd brought her nothing but heartache and misery.
Now here she was, her mother's daughter, wasting her love on the wrong man. Maybe Hoseok wasn't a rotter or a wastrel but he had one major flaw. He didn't love her back. If he did, he wouldn't be doing this, would he? He'd be....
Hyeonji sucked in a startled breath as a possible defect in her reasoning broke through her mental ramblings. The question she'd just asked herself could have been the wrong question. What if she'd asked how Hoseok would be acting if he definitely didn't love her? If he disliked and disapproved of her new self as much as he said he did. For one thing he would not have come over today. He would have been only too happy to see the back of her. He certainly would have not raged at her then vowed to turn her into some kind of sex slave!
Hyeonji took a deep breath and tried not to get too carried away with this new theory to explain Hoseok's some what alien actions. It was always possible that she'd somehow captured his sexual interest in a way previously unknown to him, and he just could not handle his new feelings towards her. Clearly he was jealous of the idea of her with any other man.
Their arrival at Hoseok's place brought a swift end to this new and rather exciting train of thought. Still, Hyeonji vowed to stop being so obsessed with her own feelings and more observant about Hobi's. She appreciated, however, that cool reasoning was difficult when your nerve-endings were dancing and all you could think about suddenly was what Hoseok would do when they were alone in his loft.
He seemed tense himself, dropping his keys at the door then fumbling with the lock. He finally flung the door open and stalked inside. Hyeonji let out her long held breath then followed his wake. She was about to say something when a voice interrupted her, a low, husky female voice.
"Glad to see you finally came home, babe. I don't know about you, but this last month has been the longest in my life. So I didn't want to waste my time..."
Hyeonji could not see who had spoken. Hoseok stood in her line of sight. But she recognized the voice. Tinashe had a very distinctive delivery.
"For pity's sake Tinashe!" Hoseok exclaimed. "I have someone with me."
Hyeonji stepped out from behind Hoseok's suddenly frozen stance to see what had shocked him. Tinashe was draped in the bedroom doorway, stark naked. If ever Hyeonji had cause to feel inadequate, it was at that moment. She could not fault Tinashe's tall voluptuous body. Anywhere. The only remote flaw she could find was that Tinashe's nakedness confirmed what a jealous Hyeonji had always suspected - that Tinashe was not a natural blonde.
Still such small imperfection was little comfort in the face of such amazing figure. Tinashe slightly thrown by the unexpected presence of another woman. Her artfully raised arms dropped languidly to her sides and she rolled her eyes at Hoseok in mild exasperation. "Really, babe. This is the day we agreed to get together again. Had you forgotten? Maybe I left you alone for too long..."
She actually sashayed into the room, utterly unabashed of her nakedness. Her long blonde hair shifted in sensual disarray across her shoulders, her melon-like boobs undulating sensuously, bringing attention their lush size, plus their very pink, very pointed nipples. Hyeonji would not have put it past her to have painted the damned things, then iced them to their present stunning erect state.
"Why don't you tell this little sweetie to run along?" Tinashe said, waving a dismissive hand in Hyeonji's direction. "You really don't want to stay, do you, sweetie? Hoseok clearly has been a naughty boy in not telling you he already has a girlfriend." Hoseok glared his fury at her while Hyeonji gathered all her courage. "My name is Hyeonji, not sweetie," she said coolly. "And I'm afraid it's you who's going to be leaving, Tinashe, dear. Hoseok has indeed been naughty, but only in not calling you today and telling you it's over between you two. Right? Darling." And she linked arms with Hoseok, fluttering her eyelashes up at him as she gazed adoringly to his stunned face.
Tinashe at last looked annoyed. Her hands found her hips and she ppered at Hyeonji with narrowed eyes. "Hyeonji did you say?"
She took an aggressive step forward and looked Hyeonji up and down. "My God, it is!" She sneered. "It's the mouse from next door. I just didn't recognize her. I always knew you were a sly piece of shit. Did you think you had me fooled with your goody librarian routine? I saw the way you drooled over Hoseok when he wasn't watching. I knew you were jealous and you were just waiting on your chance to get your hooks in. Just good friends my ass."
Tinashe looked over at Hoseok "So tell me, what did she do babe? Confessed her long time love? Kissed your fucking feet? Promised undying devotion? No. I dont think that would've worked. You would run a mile away! You like your women assertive and independent, not simpering and clinging!" Tinashe gave Hyeonji another savage glance, then laughed. "Aaah. I get it. She played the make over game. Changed her hair and clothes. Worked on her fat ass."
"That's enough!" Hoseok ground out.
"Oh no, no, no...it's not," Tinashe returned, scornful and defiant. "It's not nearly enough. I'm going to have my say. I am not going to crawl out here with my tail between my legs! I am going to make you see that that bitch there is even more manipulative than I am!" She then turned to face Hyeonji, "tell me, what did you dangle him, hmmm princess? Your priceless virginity?"
When Hyeonji's face flamed, Tinashe triggered. "Oh, that IS priceless. And you fell for it Hoseok? I'm surprised. I thought you were more sophisticated than that. But I guess deep down all men are suckers for untouched vagina? The poor misera-"
Tinashe never got to finish her tirade of insults. She was too busy squawking when Hoseok threw her over his shoulder and marched her to the door. But she soon found her voice again, screaming a string of obscenities at Hoseok when he dumped her, in a none too flattering heap, in the hallway. Her clothes followed, then her purse-minus a key, an open-mouthed Hyeonji noticed.
"Goodbye Tinashe," he said coldly. "I would have liked to have done this decently. But decency would be wasted on you. I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding some sucker with low standards as yourself." And he slammed the door shut on her, shooting the lock across with a savage flick on his wrist. When he turned, he actuallt shuddered. "I cant believe I ever considered going back to that...creature!"
Hyeonji's estimation of Hoseok went up a thousand fold. Which meant it was now off the planet. "Well that was interesting. I must say she is...was...very beautiful.," she said. "And I dare say good in bed."
Hoseok grimaced. "I doubt anything about her is good except her acting. I would rather have five minutes in bed with you, Hyeonji, than a lifetime with her. You leave her for dead in every department. And you're just as beautiful."
Hyeonji's heart caught. "Not really Hobi," she murmured. "But it's nice of you to say so."
"No I mean it. You have a beauty which will last, because it comes from within. Not that I dont think youre very attractive," he said as he drew her into his arms. "You are. And very sexy too. In fact you're more sexy with your clothes on than Tinashe is stark naked. I see now that true sexiness comes from what a woman subtly offers a man. A willingness to give as well as receive. And trust. It wasn't so much of your virginity I found enchanting last night, but your trust. You trusted me with your body, and even your life. That blew me away. You blew me away. I couldn't sleep all night thinking of you., and wanting you again. What I said to you earlier, Hyeonji...I didn't really mean that. I would never do anything to hurt you. I was just going mad with wanting you. And I was in flat panic that you were going off and find someone else."
She cupped his handsome face and tried to still her racing heart. "You mean you're bot going to bow me to your will through fair means or foul? You're not going to try to turn me into some sex slave?"
Hoseok laughed "God, no. I don't know what got into me."
"Well, that's a shame," she said, smiling saucily into his very serious face. "I was kinda looking forward to it."
His brown eyes jerked wide, then narrowed. "I have an awful feeling you mean that."
"I do in a fashion..." Hyeonji replied, Hoseok quirked his head to the side "What kind of fashion?"
"I don't want you to hurt me, but I was looking forward to all those experiences you promised." She kissed him lightly on the lips "and be my master...." she kissed him again, not quite so lightly. "And my own personal devil..." her third kiss left him breathing heavily. "But most of all," she whispered huskily, "I was counting on you taking me to that mysterious level of surrender."
His expression had darkened during her provocative confession. She wasn't sure if she had shocked him to the core this time or not. He was certainly pretty still, but then a slow smile pulled at his nicely shaped mouth, and a wicked grin brightened his beautiful brown eyes.
"You do know what happens to little girls who play with fire, don't you? Hmmm...Baby girl?"
She gulped. Had she gone too far? She thought...
"Er..."
"Too late," he snapped, and scooped her up into his arms. "You cant throw down a challenge like that to a man like me, then try to back out." He began to stride towards the bedroom.
"But I...I..."
He halted in the doorway. "You what? Use your words baby girl, or forever hold your peace."
Hyeonji bit her bottom lip and Hoseok swept into the room, suddenly throwing her on his bed laughing devilishly. The boy meets evil.
