(Count)Down to Dawntrail- Day 7: Free Choice

So first, I know I missed a few days ;-; I still have the ideas for it as always in my head, but work and already rushing stuff kinda killed my confidence. Maybe one day I'll type them out, we'll see. But I did have fun with what I did! It's my first time doing a daily sorta thing like this, so I expected some burnout from myself. Really, I just wanna shout out the entire FFXIV gaming community. Without what is the nicest in-game fanbase I've ever seen, I would not have made it this far. WoW is the only other MMO I've played, and while I barely remember it, I was bracing myself coming into FFXIV. At the time, I had wanted to play something in its style, but I didn't know of any games. My friend took a chance on it, but man, I was hooked instantly. This game's story is the best I've ever seen, beating out even D2's. The music..my god the music is so insanely good. But here I am rambling again as always lol I suppose I also wanna shout out a few ppl, forgive me if this is a bother. @gatheredfates- for organizing this event and the discord server, I thank you! I rly enjoy the small community that you've built, everyone is always so nice and friendly! This was a blast to do, and help me get out of my shell a little bit. @starrysnowdrop- I'm pretty sure your posts on Hali and Aymeric were some of the first stuff I saw on ffxiv's tumblr, and Aymeric's tag, and I absolutely have fallen in love with them, and your stuff! I hope Tural treats them well, can't wait to see them! @iron-sparrow- Absolutely loving your stuff so far! I love Yein and your affirmations! The way you do gposes with the thin white frame is really eye-catching! There's a lot of other people I could tag, but even if I don't interact with your stuff (mainly bc I forget to orz), I will always enjoy it. I'm excited to get to know this community better, and hopefully getting myself out there a lil more! o/

writing guide meme

name / alias: Jackie age: 29 my character is:  friendly / approachable / difficult to talk to / unapproachable   (but if we’re writing a thread, it’s probably about a rare occurrence where they ended up connecting with a stranger because they noticed all the stuff they have in common & circumstances did the rest. I’ll try not to make you like, chase them lol) i prefer: plotting relationships & dynamics before we write / building the relationship as we write / i like both     (my characters will come across to most people as guarded, polite, & unapproachable whoops! if we just let them vibe & see what happens, they could be like oh, a roleplay plot & a new person to meet... cool suggestion, not doing that though) i ship: easily / if there’s chemistry / only if plotted / never   (however, if I’m writing with you, I want to explore and develop the dynamic between our characters, whatever that dynamic is. otherwise why involve another person in the story, you know?) my character is: easy to ship with  / difficult to ship with / completely unavailable to ship with    the easiest way to write with me is: through threads / through memes / both    (I tend to use headcanon memes more often than starter memes) i am: comfortable with talking ooc / uncomfortable with talking ooc    (it takes me some time to get to know ppl though, & I may have limited social battery to spare!) i prefer to talk ooc over: tumblr ims / other im system / both i respond: quickly / slowly / rarely / as soon as i’m able / it varies i prefer: short threads / multi para threads / novella threads  (I always end up writing a lot omg. no pressure to match length) i am: not okay with aus / happy to write my character in an au  (their entire painting sub-universe can be stuck in just about any universe that has a magic system) i prefer writing: angst / fluff / smut / romance / friendship / horror / action (not in a Hollywood way though) / all of the previous options. i am: okay with nsfw topics / not okay with nsfw topics / okay with some nsfw topics (tasteful exploration of dark topics is generally fine, no sex scenes) i am: okay with being tagged in random starters (if we’ve interacted) / not okay with being tagged in random starters (if we haven’t interacted) / okay with random asks / not okay with random asks i am: okay with multiple memes being sent (so flattering tbh!!) / not okay with multiple memes being sent topics to avoid writing: Unflattering, diminishing, etc. energy around disability as your character interacts with mine. Scenarios that my characters can’t interact with very well, whether because of accessibility issues or because of ‘triggering’ elements (inaccessible or triggering scenarios can definitely have a place in plots, I just need a meaningful way to be included in the story besides writing about how left out or upset my character is). Dynamics that would be awkward and humiliating to experience in real life from the pov of my character (your character bullies mine & feels powerful, your character acts as my character’s consistent helper & feels like a good person, etc. etc.). Plots where my characters die. Plots where my characters are expected to debate whether they were really justified in protecting Sparrow from being sacrificed. If you have a plot idea that’s decidedly not everyone’s cup of tea or super violent or heavy in some dramatic way, please ask before introducing it!
