i totally get that leon became a cop because a cop saved him when he was younger and i totally get that he learns his lesson and realizes the government is corrupt and that's great that's beautiful that's wonderful but 15 year old leon saw the los angeles riots and still believed being a cop was the right thing to do and that will forever make my blood boil

#speakerphone!#nawt to bring real life into the silly game but the silly game is actually intrinsically tied to real life #so sometimes you have to be real serious and take a hard look at these characters.#like yeah okay he has good intentions. and? what else.#anyways. this is something i think about a lot actually.#and i think its a big reason i dont like calling re2 era leon stupid.#because he wasnt stupid for wanting to be a cop. he was fucking ignorant and well. he didnt care enough to look deeper #and that was his choice. his fault.#i would not let any 21 yr old yt boy cop off the hook irl and i shant let leon off the hook either #i will enjoy him while also being aware of his flaws.
