You and Pedro had decided that evening to go out to eat, nothing too elegant, that evening you had decided to go to a pizzeria. You just wanted a quiet moment.

You had just paid for your dinner and as you left you held hands. "Do you want to do anything else before you go home honey?" Pedro stopped and turned to look at you on the sidewalk.

"I don't know.." you thought as you took a pack of cigarettes from the back pocket of your jeans "I didn't feel like doing much tonight" you put a cigarette to your mouth, took your lighter from your jacket pocket and lit it.

You had developed this addiction years ago, you were trying to quit but the fact that you don't smoke almost a pack every day is already something, it was Pedro who had insisted and you couldn't tell him anything because he had more than right.

Pedro put his arms around your waist and put his face on your neck, the smell of smoke didn't bother him and it certainly wouldn't stop him from being close to you You rested your head against his cheek as you blew the smoke out of your mouth. "Are you tired?" asked Pedro.

"nah, I'm just very lazy tonight" she gave a quick kiss on your neck and whispered "I'll give you some energy then" she grinned before suddenly picking you up bridal style.

You made a surprised noise as you smiled "Pedro!" you laughed as you quickly put them on him arms around his neck with the cigarette still in his fingers “they are watching us” you laughed as you put your head into his shoulder “let them look at my beautiful girlfriend” he laughed as he slowly approached yours face to give you a warm kiss

As he kissed you he could taste tobacco but he couldn't care less. Immersed in the moment, neither of you noticed a paparazzo who didn't hesitate to take photos of you from afar. The Internet would explode the next day.

All Fun and Games (2023)

While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...

There are so many people out there whose dream is to make a movie. Though you might lower your expectations when you learn you’re about to watch a directorial debut, you're still excited. “I'm going to pay close attention so I can tell people years from now that I saw the mark of a great director coming.” When, even with lowered expectations, the movie you see isn’t good, it’s doubly disappointing. I don’t want to be mean to All Fun and Games directors Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu. I also want to be fair to you by admitting this film is not worth seeing.

In Salem, Massachusetts, young Jonah (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) finds a strange knife in an abandonned home. Its hilt is made of human bone and there’s an inscription on the blade. When his brother, Marcus (Asa Butterfield), reads the words out loud, he becomes possessed by an evil force. His sister, Billie (Natalia Dyer), her boyfriend, Pete (Kolton Stewart), best friend Sophie (Laurel Marsden) and uncle Bob (Erik Athavale) have no idea the “games” Marcus wants to play are deadly.

There are two major issues with “All Fun and Games”. The first is that it isn’t frightening. The idea of someone you love suddenly turning against you is ripe for potential but evil Marcus never uses his familial ties to his advantage. There’s little suspense, even in situations that should naturally generate it. The games of Hide-and-Seek and Tag, for example. You hold your breath for a moment, but no more than you would a normal game with friends. Some of that comes from the second major issue: the premise itself. The idea of games with deadly consequences isn’t enough anymore. Ready or Not did something different by supplementing the idea with comedy and social commentary. All Fun and Games doesn't do anything. This problem is amplified by the fact that some games work against the film itself. Playing Hide-and-Seek, for example, means the people who already want to get away from Marcus are allowed to do so. The villain searching for our heroes… continues searching for them. So what?

The premise gets increasingly convoluted as we learn the backstory behind the knife, particularly the way it leads the characters into playing a game of Tag. I think even the filmmakers knew that what they had was rather thin. The final running time is only 76 minutes.

All Fun and Games isn't devoid of merit and what’s good about it shows the people at its helm may have a promising career ahead of them. The Fletchers are dysfunctional, sometimes in a slightly comedic fashion but never to the point where they become over-the-top. The children bicker in a way that feels genuine considering the relationship between their parents and their age. Minus one sentence where Billie reminds Sophie that they’re best friends, everyone sounds real and the actors who’ve received the script by Costa, Celeboglu and their co-writer JJ Braider, deliver it convincingly. I’ll even go so far as to say that before people start getting possessed, you won’t understand why anyone would give the film a bad review.

The unimaginative premise and rushed conclusion (I had to double-check that I didn’t miss anything), combined with the missed potential and the lack of scares or tension means All Fun and Games is a movie you’ll forget right away. Usually, I say that it’s better to be memorable than good but that rule doesn't apply for directorial debuts. There’s potential here and although it isn’t entirely successful, some aspects of All Fun and Games make me think the next film by the people involved could be good. (June 30, 2024)

I know this is a "me problem" and I just have to get better, but I also wonder if anyone else feels like they go a little crazy trying to draw her.

"I play Nancy Wheeler!"

2.) If you could be anyone else in Stranger Things, who would you be and why?

"I always thought it'd be really fun to play Hopper. His action scenes and rollercoaster ride of storylines just look exciting to tackle as an actor."

3.) How has being part of the Stanger Things changed your life?

"Oh, gosh. In every way. I am who I am, and I've gotten to experience so many extraordinary things because of this show."

4.) Is there anything about your character you wish you had more control over?

"Um, yes and no. I'm lucky in that I've been able to go up to Matt and Ross before to question certain things they've written for her, and oftentimes they'd listen and change something just a little bit. But at the end of the day, I really do trust that they have the full story pictured in their minds and I'm happy to go with whatever they plan. I may not have made some of the decisions Nancy has, but that's what I love about her."

5.) Is there anyone who you would love to be a guest star in the final season?

"My boring answer would probably be my husband just because it'd make his little fan heart happy. But I'd love to have more horror icons. Working with Robert Englund for season four was unreal, so I would want someone like Jamie Lee Curtis to join us in Hawkins."

6.) Where do you hope your character ends up at the end of the series?

"As cliché as it sounds, I want Nancy to be happy. She's spent the majority of her teen years terrified for her friends and family, caught in dangerous situations, feeling like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. She deserves the chance to go find herself in college and do things that bring her joy without the fear of something lurking in the shadows."

7.) What is one thing you are hoping to take from set once it wraps?

"Nancy has had a lot of cute things over the season. Especially her wardrobe. So I would love to steal more of her clothes. But she also has a cork board in her room with little mementos and photographs that I think would be really special to take home with me."

8.) How do you feel about Stranger Things ending?

"Almost feels like every emotion at once. I've spent all of my 20s working on this show, everything in my life has changed from the beginning to now, with Hawkins always being the home I went back to. That one constant throughout the years. It's going to be bittersweet when we all go our separate ways. I'm also trying to be excited and hopeful for the future. I'm looking forward to diving into new projects, spending more time with my family. I think that no matter where I go and what I do, Nancy and the people of Hawkins will always stay with me."

Opinion: Why I’ve always shipped Jancy over Stancy

Firstly, Nancy getting back with Steve would be wrong for both their character arcs. Steve has grown up, and kind of realized that he can get his ass over Nancy, and find love in friendship with Robin and Dustin. And maybe Erica who actually knows. So firstly, as a massive Steve fan, I’m saying that this goes completely off his arc and it’ll just be sending him back to where he was in season one. A douche who knows nothing besides popularity and sports, rather than making friends with Robin and become the nerdy weirdo duo that they are.

Secondly, this doesn’t agree with Nancy’s and Jonathan’s storyline either. Nancy learns to become herself, and chase her ambitions rather than be meek and popular by sticking with Steve. She learns to be independent and that her future is not in Hawkins Indiana. Jonathan kind of gives her that empowerment as both are incredibly ambitious people who know their future is not in Hawkins. In season three and four where we see Nancy chasing down stories relentlessly and becoming who she really was. But if she gets back together with Steve, both are completely different people and she just becomes the placid middle America girlfriend who’s never going to do anything with her life and have ten kids and no job. Nancy is more than that, and it was kind of Jonathan who helped her become that person. You’re destroying everything Jonathan and Nancy kind of underwent as characters in Season 2, with their arc and all that.

Also Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton have incredible chemistry and are dating IRL so it would be such a waste of a solid six years of dating if Nancy dated Steve again.

Another really important point I need to make is that if Jancy break up, I’d rather have Nancy remain single and best friends with Jonathan than have her get with Steve. It just seems wrong, and Nancy and Jonathan have an incredible besties potential if they break up. Heck, even Ronance (love them too) makes more sense than Stancy.

-BACKGROUND-

Iris Graham was born after the outbreak on a large ranch outside of Ledbetter, Kentucky. Her dad is a survival prepper to the extreme and a wild conspiracy theorist, which made him less popular with people at the time, but a saving grace when everything fell. Even as some survivors sought refuge on the land, Iris's only close companions growing up were her father, adopted brother Sebastian, and his friend. Her mother abandoned them suddenly when Iris was just one year old over an affair, and Iris has always resented her strongly because of it.

Growing up entirely on the ranch, there wasn't much for education given that school wasn't an option and only a small handful of children lived on the farm. Seb and Iris's dad, being the way he was, did not have interest in education outside of what kept someone alive, so once she could read, that's all she did beyond her daily duties.

Early on, Iris found great enjoyment in the creativity and enlightenment that came with books. Anything that could capture her attention, spark curiosity, or entertain her wonder, she was fixated on. Whatever could take the mind somewhere else--the world before or some impossible fantasy land--she would happily allow it. It is because of all this that she is hungry for knowledge and often falls asleep thinking about schools and 'normal' things she never experienced.

Iris is fond of horses and learned how to tend to them on the ranch alongside other animals. She willingly spent early mornings and sneaky late nights in the barn or stable with them, sometimes doing nothing but talking to, reading, or napping in their kind and simple presence. That was enough to keep company.

In time, resources dwindled and danger climbed. When the ranch inhabitants relocated to the Jackson settlement, she was greatly relieved to see remnants of her old life coming back. A community farm, animals to tend and supply the people, roles for everyone that kept the place running like clockwork. Seemed like one hell of a setup--and she knew one when she saw it. Almost like she never left home. Iris gladly took on the role of Barn Manager to keep a sense of routine that she yearned for once again during their long travel.

Hiyaa as someone who is a huge fan of Charlotte Ritchie and Natalia Dyer, I totally get the comparisons they both possess same vibes with the similar voice tones, which i would love to see them play as siblings in anything or Natalia dyer in taskmaster can see the trajectory of her being competitive yet inside breaking down.

Also regards to Taskmaster if you had to chose whats your favorite task or tasks? Thank you.

Natalia in Taskmaster would be so fucking funny I truly think she’d do terribly.

Also my favourite task of all time was planning Alex’s stag minute. The girls interpretation of that task was truly the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen.

BIOGRAPHY

Eliza Ellen Perry was born an early chilly November morning to Rodger and Ellen Perry. Their only child, Eliza had all her parents love and adoration poured into her as she was growing up. In all honesty Eliza had a pretty normal up bringing.

She grew up in a household that was often filled with laughter and more love than she knew what to do with. It was often the three of them against the world, and she was always shown what true love looked like when she looked at her parents. Often giggling together, dancing in the kitchen, she couldn't imagine a love as deep as there.

However that all changed when Eliza's mother had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer when Eliza was seventeen. Her sheltered happy home life came to a crash the moment the doctors used the words terminal. The doctor's had given her mother a couple years left with them at the most.

How do you possibly put all the love you have for someone into two years? She couldn't understand why this was happening to her family, to her mother. Her sweet mother who as far as she knew had never done anything wrong.

The summer before Eliza had turned eighteen her mother was taken from them and Eliza has never fully recovered from that loss.

Her mother was like an anchor for their family and she felt lost without her mother's all encompassing support and love in her life.

Her relationship with her father hit another bump, although this was something that has yet to be repaired. It was revealed to her after discovering some letters in his office, that her father had started an affair during her mother's chemo.

She felt so betrayed by him and her allusion of what love was had come completely undone. How could he do this? She couldn't understand, she didn't even recognize the man that claimed to be her father, yet she couldn't believe it.

So she had decided to forgo college, resign her application, and packed her bags deciding to follow a friend to chaleur and never looked back. She took a job at a local bar down here and has never looked back, not even visiting her hometown during the holidays and refuses to talk about her past or growing up with anyone.

HEADCANNONS

Can make the heck out of an old fashion & will judge you internally if you order something fruity and the bar she works at.

She wears the same necklace everyday, it belonged to her mother but she will often hid it under her clothes so that no one asks her about it's origin.

She is definitely a night owl, she has a hyper focused mind ( fellow adhd peeps unite ) and so she would much rather stay up late than get up early the next day.

She would never admit it out loud but her ideal night is staying in, wearing some comfy lounge wear, and watching a good old fashion rom com.

She's lowkey a very sentimental person, though she would never admit it, and the way to her heart is small acts of care. So for example, writing a small note or bringing her a cup of coffee goes a long way with her. Honestly she will probably keep the note you gave her.

Fluent in the language of sarcasm, if she is roasting you it's her way of showing she cares. If she brings you a something small and says, I saw this and thought of you, or I picked you up one too, you are one of the select few she has chosen to stand by. She isn't someone who uses words to show love so this tiny tokens of service are huge for her.

She hasn't talked to her father for more than 10 minutes since her mother's passing (possible connection could be someone who helps push her to repair that relationship, although keep in mind she will probably fight your muse and be a bit of a jerk)

It’s pretty crazy when you compare JQ’s success to other once season characters or side characters.

The guy who played Alexei doesn’t do anything, Dacre who played Billy hasn’t done much of anything apart from a power rangers movie that flopped, the actress who played Barb does nothing (I think she did a fry commercial recently which made a reference to ST which is kinda sad tbh lol sorry). Mason and Grace (Jason & Chrissy) haven’t seemed to have done anything notable either.

JQ got the biggest boost, and I would even go so far to argue he’s done better in a year for big roles than Charlie H and Natalia Dyer have gotten in 7 years. I cant name literally anything big or notable they’ve done at all outside of ST.

JQ is incredibly lucky and struck while the iron was hot. Starring opposite to Lupita in his first movie? Landing the villain role in Gladiator alongside some real heavy hitters? And this is only 1 year since he left the show. He’s set.

I agree with almost all of this. I would say that I think some of it has to do with what he’s choosing to do. He probably is getting offers from Indie films, but he’s going for the bigger Hollywood blockbusters. And there’s nothing wrong with either one. I think Natalia and Charlie do more Indies? I know Natalia does, but I really couldn’t tell you one other thing Charlie has been in.

I think at the end of all of this, the kids will probably all have future big rolls, but for the teens, I think it might only be both of the Joe and maybe Maya.

Stranger Things Panel: Natalia Dyer

How has your life changed since the show started?

In every way imaginable. Having the chance to keep coming back to this world and this character, and seeing the way the show makes people think and feel is something so magical.

2. What's your fondest memory or moment while filming so far?

I don't know. I think... When w'ere filming, it can get pretty chaotic, but I love those longer nights where it's a slightly more relaxed scene and everyone's almost just hanging out. One of the things that always sticks out to me, and I think it's because we all tended to gravitate to our little age groups, was filming the pool scene in season one. It was me, Joe, Shannon, Chester, and Chelsea, with Charlie popping in every so often. We were basically relaxing at this nice house, in this great pool, all night and just the way we all connected that night had always been something remarkable to me. Everyone was just very loving, in a way, that it's a bittersweet one for me.

3. If you could trade places with any other character in the show, who would it be and why?

I'd love to play Hopper. I feel as if David gets such fun, action type sequences every season that he'd be a good one to tackle.

4. Who in the show is most like their character?

I always say Gaten, but it's so true. He's incredibly knowledgeable about so many different things.

5. What would you do if you had an actual demodog as a pet?

Dart size or full grown? I'd want neither, but I think I could manage the smaller one!

6. What do you want to see happen in the final season?

I just hope they have happy endings. I know our show is big on the scary factor, but I'd love to be able to get back to that core of this group and how much they all really care about each other.

7. Is there anyone from the cast you would like to share more scenes with?

I'd love to do more with Finn. I think, every season, we almost get a tiny hint of where they are in their relationship and that dynamic, but we haven't gotten to do anything bigger together in a while.

8. If you could keep a memento from the set, what would it be?

Oh, gosh. There are two things in Nancy's bedroom that I keep warning our production designer, Chris Trujillo, that I'm going to take. I love the music box. I think it's very much a Nancy object. And I'd love to keep the cork board of photos. They've done a really good job keeping it updated throughout the years.
