Oh wow so is the sequel mostly written then?? And what is the sequel actually going to cover are u basically just gonna write what happened in canon or like write ur own version of canon or something else? I’m also very excited for that now too!!! How many chapters of pltc do we have left?
I would not go as far as to say I have most of the sequel written - it’s somewhere between an outline and a rough draft. It’s basically in the same spot as all the remaining chapters of pltc. I know what’s going to happen, I have specific scenes written out in detail and some things I know I need to expand upon, and then some parts that are literally “lol please make something happen here”. Once pltc is done, it’ll take me a few weeks to get the sequel in any sort of working order to begin posting.
And the sequel takes place somewhere between 5 and 10 years after canon. I don’t want to rewrite what’s in canon (mostly because pltc is supposed to be written to kind of flow directly into canon) and I don’t want to write what happens immediately after because season 2 will ruin all of my plans, lol. But the entire premise does focus a lot on flashbacks, and the Pogues looking back at their lives since the summer in season 1, so we’ll definitely see what they were up to.
And there are 5-6 chapters left of pltc. There’s one specific plot point that I can’t tell if I want to combine with another chapter or leave it in it’s own chapter. It’ll probably be a last minute decision based on how much I can write for it lol
