Sha/douge is the bane of my existence, even if it didn’t have the weird age gap, it’s still pretty gross because Rouge is like an older sister to Shadow. It really feels like some people just ship any m/f pair that are close to each other regardless of the context of their closeness

i dont think rouge is like. canonically shadows sister its just a popular headcanon? unless im missing something? but yeah im a team dark siblings believer and agree that the age gap is a bit strange so i do not like seeing them be shipped together all the time .. ships like shadouge and silvaze have such "oh this guy has a close friend whos a girl so they MUST be in love theres no other explanation" energy

#i would argue s/onamy has that energy too even though amy actually does like sonic romantically #because of the way sonic cant even breathe in her direction without people yelling about how in love they are #asks #its sonic ships hater hour on my blog apparently #sorry i know the point of this post was shadow and rouge but the comment aobut them being siblings #and people shipping any guy and girl who are close regardless of context reminded me #i swear there were early character profiles for silver and blaze that said they had an older sister and little brother type relationship #like i remember seeing it. not back then obviously because i was a toddler but a while later i found them #but people immediately decided theyre in love as soon as it was made clear that theyre friends ?? its so weird to me
