Change in Family

Okay, let’s do this one more time.

If we go for the Atom Eve!Reader route, then we know what the batfamily is like. More of the same with any other neglected!Readers. But this would be worse as you’re considered to be a Meta and we all know how Batman feels about Metas in Gotham

Let’s say we go with the similar stories of neglected readers. You were ignored and tormented by certain robins (Damien lol), you only had Alfred and/or Duke, you gained your powers in your senior year, graduate and moved away to leave your family behind, with the occasional calls from Alfred and Duke.

You joined the Guardian of the Globe to save people, and that’s where you meet Mark Grayson, this slightly awkward and shy kid who is apparently the son of THE Omni-Man. You were obviously intimidated by this dude, but soon your feelings got the better of you, and you fell for Mark.

Saving his ass was one way to get him to fall for you too. Unethical way for romance, but hey, a big win for you. He fell harder for you, and you both decided to get your feelings out of the way and had your kiss on the battlefield, immediately getting scolded by Cecil.

OR-

We have a none super story where you were the only normal kid in your family, the familiar story goes where you met Mark at college. You needed a fresh start that didn’t involve being in the shadows of the Waynes, so having all this hard work and studies is better than nothing.

You actually didn’t technically meet in college, you met when some villain was in the city and crashed into the campus, where you were almost crushed if it weren’t for Invincible. You had your fair share of attacks back at Gotham, so he was surprised when he saw your calm demeanor before getting back into fighting the villain.

After a while he caught up to you as Mark Grayson, who awkwardly stumbled next to your seat and rambling about the attack earlier, and he mentioned about seeing you almost getting killed, even more shocked to see you shrugging.

“It happens more than you think, especially in Gotham,” He was amazed you moved all the way from Gotham, and it just went on from there. You eventually found out he was Invincible after months of being friends, with in turn became dating.

No matter which path you choose

You are adored by Mark, which extends to his family. Oliver looks up to you, whether or not you’re human or Atom Eve!Reader, he sees the way Mark has heart eyes for you, and he declared you to be the best future sister-in-law ever.

You would always recreate his toys to be cooler, despite Debbie’s raised eyebrow and crossed arms at your sheepish smile while Oliver played with a heat seeking foam missile.

Of course, you kept in touch with Alfred, telling you the adventures you went on as Atom Eve, or your studies if you were human. You never told him about your boyfriend as despite being the only father figure you know (the addition of Cecil and Nolan), you knew his opinions about metas.

Your calls with Alfred eventually led you to work up the courage and confess to him that you have a boyfriend, and you don’t know by the look on the butler’s face that he was proud or horrified.

You could feel the glare of Alfred through the phone when you moved the camera to face Mark. Poor guy was sweating bullets by the stare he gave. “I-Is he going to… kill me?” He meeked asked, “I mean he almost killed Superman with not even Kryptonite… so I wouldn’t be too worried?” You sheepishly replied.

Unfortunately, your confession about Mark was being eavesdropped by Stephanie, who spat out her orange juice and tackled the phone out of Alfred’s hands, shouting into the phone -which in turn the whole manor- about; “(NAME)!! SINCE WHEN DID YOU MOVED OUT?! AND MANAGED TO HAVE THAT DORK BAG A BADDIE LIKE YOU?!”

What a snitch, now your other siblings are freaking out at the fact you moved out. “Yeah, for ONE year!! The fact you didn’t notice is very comforting!” you scoffed, all the while Mark was awkwardly laying next to you.

Bruce was distraught, not just the fact you were far away, but you have a BOY in your ROOM!! It doesn’t matter if you had a girl, boy, genderfluid or non-binary!! Why are you dating?!

“You shouldn’t be dating at your age!” He shouted through the phone, “I’m 21!!” You said in disbelief, making Mark cover his mouth to hide his smile while you elbowed him.

Dick was more distraught than Bruce if that was even possible. He was trying to tear the phone away from Bruce while crying his eyes out. “B-Baby bird!! Why did you leave us?! You shouldn’t be out there filled with overpowered monsters!! You should be inside the manor where it’s safer!! I-in fact, we’re coming right now!!”

You panicked, trying to find and excuse to sway them. If you choose Option A: Confess you have powers and is the hero Atom Eve “I’ve had powers since I was 16!!” You showed them through the phone by making one of Mark’s rock collection into a statue of a middle finger.

Or Option B: Throw Mark under the bus and say you have Invincible as your boyfriend to protect you. “He’s half-Viltrumite! He can protect me more than Batman!” You pulled Mark to your hip.

If you choose either one, congratulations!! Both were the wrong answers!! Now you either have your family freaking out that you had powers and only told Alfred, or they’re freaking out that you’re dating Invincible.

Whatever the outcome, you hid in the home of Mark, where Debbie treated you like you were her child, and Nolan? He approved of you so that’s good.

“Babe, it’s okay! Maybe they actually want to make amends with you!” Mark being the optimist he is he tired to reassure you while you shook your head. “You don’t know my family like I do, Mark! They only care now because of Steph eavesdropping! They wouldn’t even have remembered me if it weren’t for- UGH!!”

If you were Atom Eve! Reader, your frustration would’ve gotten a few items from Mark’s room turned into liquid. Human! Reader would’ve just kicked Mark’s chair to the ground. Mark frowned before holding you close.

“I’m sorry for whatever you been through. I promise you, they won’t take you away from your home. Away from me,” You wiped your tears of frustration and smiled at him, kissing him softly before hugging him again.

Mark wasn’t going to let your neglectful family to finally see you as one of their own, for they had years to do so. He confided to his dad, worried that you will be sent back to Gotham.

“If you want me to give them a total beatdown, I’m on it!” Oliver grinned while the Nolan boys were in an open field to talk about your situation.

“I don’t want to lose them, dad. I love them so much, a-and they want to take that away from me!!” He shouted before sending a boulder into the sky. Nolan simply hummed while floating next to Mark.

“Son… You know how much I love your mother,” Mark nodded, “I would do anything for her. (Name), they mean so much to you as well. They even managed to wiggle themselves into this family,” He chuckled.

“Duh! You gotta show those dorks that we ain’t gonna to let anything slide with us! (Name) is practically family!” Oliver floated upside down while attempting to land.

“They’re yours now Mark, and you can’t let others take what’s yours…” Usually, Mark would question such words his father would say, but he was right. You are his just as much as he is yours, and he’d be damned if he let these neglectful people show up suddenly.

“Don’t worry dad, I won’t let them go. Ever,” Nolan smiled softly, “Good, because between the three of us, your mother got more attached to (Name) than we did,” Mark laughed, but knew that Debbie loved you more.

There would be a dinner, hosted by the gracious Bruce Wayne to show he means no harm, (to you of course he’s going to kill this Mark). It was time to meet the family, the Nolan’s included.

Cecil is on watch with the GotG (not those guardians) as he grew attached to you as well, in case the Bats pull something, and Alfred has the Justice League on command to swoop in just in case things got ugly.

“It’s so great to have the family back together for dinner,” Bruce smiled brightly as you were forced to sit between him and Selina, who was amused by this whole ordeal, but was still happy you were back.

With the state down between Mark and Nolan vs the Bats, Debbie and Selina were casually talking and in their own vibe.

“You must be Selina Kyle. Debbie Nolan, and I must say you definitely manage to hold down this family with a lover who is… delusional,” Debbie chuckled, “No judge though, been there,” Selena grinned while clinking her glass.

“Glad you like my style, truly amazing to see how the men try to pin against each other when we could really need the extra support in keeping them safe,” They already agreed that you were the number one priority between families and that you will be protected.

“Psst, you already got dirt on them?” Steph whispered to Barbara and Tim as they typed on their tablets under the table. They nodded as they gave glared at them, to which Mark glared back before focusing his lovey dovey eyes back on you.

It made them furious to see how he touched you (holding your hand) how he pampered you (gave you a kiss) how vile he is (he blushed when you complimented him).

“Baby bird, may I ask why you’re dating a hero who has the same last NAME as me?!” Dick accused, making you and Mark look at each other before an awkward silence filled dinner. Jason had the decency to stomp Dick’s foot hard to make him shut up.

Duke at least tried to give you his blessings, but even he knew something was up with your boyfriend’s family, specifically his dad. The way he stared at them as if they were mere ants.

Cass noticed too and they both spent called for backup of the Young Justice just in case.

“(Name), I find it absurd you take amusement in this Superman wannabe. Powers only make a being more perceptible to deadly scenarios,” Damien crossed his arms while glaring deadly daggers at Mark.

“Sooo, you’re their little brother? Pssh, I can already tell you’re a spoiled brat who thinks he’s better than everyone else here really he just has mommy issues,” Oliver smiled while stabbing his steak with his fork.

“Shut it, your purple grape!” Damien snarled, slamming his hands on the table, “At least I actually learned not to kill!” Oliver quipped, “Barely!” Both kids glared as you were about to just bolt out of here.

“Nolan Grayson,” Bruce cleared his throat, causing the shouting silence, “While I do appreciate you have given a roof over my dear (Name), I highly doubt it would be safe for them to continue living at your residence. They’ll be better staying here,” He said with a steady tone.

“Bruce-,” You started, but Nolan simply hummed, “Funny, I think it’ll be better for them to be protected by someone who they actually call dad,” Ohhh that made Bruce furious.

If things so seriously bad, then let’s just say that you’ll be seeing superhumans fight to the death just for you.

Meanwhile, Mark took you away from the outright war to give some kissing times with you.

Don’t get me started about the Markverse, that’ll give Bruce a stroke seeing them looking at you with hungry eyes.

So I've done a bunch of routes now and there's some stuff that, throughout all of them, really drives me up a wall.

I'm sure other people have addressed these a bunch and probably in better ways, but I need to get them off my chest. Prefacing this by saying I haven't done the Sariel route, yet, and maybe his magically smooths out all the issues, idk.

Below the cut is my rants about Belle being a secret, Clause 99 existing, and Leon vs Chevalier.

The Belle thing:

Okay, but in WHAT WORLD would a tiny landlocked country EVER want people ANYWHERE to know that their king is dead and they have no idea who the next one will be for a month?

So WHY is the MC being a "secret Belle" such an issue? They should have a system in place already to hide Belles! Every single Belle should have been secret until she'd chosen the next king!

Hell, they should just have random commoner women come into the palace and hang with the princes all the time so no one knows which one will ACTUALLY be the Belle.

I get that this was the way they chose to have the MC interacting with the princes because they couldn't be bothered giving them more original storylines and stuff, but they could have made it make some sense. I don't even have a problem with the ridiculous fantasy aspects of Belles even being a thing, it's that they seem to have made no real allowances for them in the culture and practices of the palace!

Clause 99:

So this ONE GUY fucks up and they have to make a (horribly written holy shit it's like they wanted it to be broken) whole ass new clause in what is presumably a pretty ancient contract that makes no sense whatsoever. Because this wasn't even the first time a Belle chose someone that ended up being a shit king! Yet the clause is brand new?

Firstly, the only reason the last king's relationship with his Belle was a problem was because OTHER PEOPLE made it so, especially considering he can have multiple wives and that children born out of wedlock are still considered equal royals. Like the dude could rape a maid and still make the son a prince! What does it matter if his first wife is a commoner? It's not like he gets to choose his heir!

Secondly, what if Belle ended up being a great asset to the kingdom? An awesome aide, or gifted at diplomacy, or who knows what else? You're just going to kick her to the curb still?

Nevermind what happens if she ends up with a prince who doesn't become king and how awkward that makes anything family related.

And, of course, all of these things are sort of shown in game as it's REALLY FUCKING EASY for the king to break that clause to the point it clearly only exists as a bullshit drama device.

It's not even actually solving the issue--a king could just spend his whole life lovesick and never have sex with anyone after being forcibly separated or something. The real Clause 99 should have been something like 'The King must first marry and have a child with a noblewoman before he can have an official relationship with Belle" or you know something that would force the King to have a kid like Chevalier because he'd want to marry his Belle so badly.

(Also, how the hell is Sariel always acting surprised that the MC didn't read the whole contract? He gave her next to no time in a high stress environment to sign it! It would have literally taken her the entire night to read it!)

(And, listen, I get that Jin has some huge fucking hangups about it, but all him koolaid man'ing his way into other people's relationships makes me do is dislike him more, especially since really, if anything, HE should be more in favor of ways to compromise on the king and Belle relationship, not lording over a commoner woman for daring to love a king! Also, what a total dickbag for not making sure all of his brothers knew about it beforehand!)

Leon vs Chevalier:

I have a TON of issues with these two being setup as rivals.

Chevalier is made impossibly perfect in his and related routes to the point where only someone like Gilbert is actually his match. Even though Leon is more personable, more charismatic, almost equally good at fighting, surprisingly clever, and also NOT HATED BY MOST OF THE COUNTRY AND EVERY CITIZEN OF THEIR LARGEST NEIGHBOR, somehow he's always just this background character in seemingly any route that makes Chevalier the king.

Leon actually has the significantly better backstory (like holy shit most tragic backstory award no matter what anyone else comes out with, the guy didn't even have a NAME) and personality for becoming a king and it's not like Chev would abandon the kingdom just because of it. Making Leon king means he would actually consider what Chevalier said and suggested and make compromises when necessary, something Chevalier is largely incapable of doing outside of his route, where he's softened.

And, finally, the biggest one...WHY THE FUCK ARE THEIR PHILOSOPHIES TREATED AS EQUAL? It's always like 'oh, yeah, Leon's is good, but Chevalier's is equally reasonable' and shit. Leon's philosophy is literally 'I want everyone to have good lives' and Chevalier's, outside of his own route, is literally 'I want to turn our peaceful kingdom into a militarized imperialistic force that will violently sweep across and oppress the whole continent.' HOW ARE THESE EQUAL? I know Cybird writers jack off to monarchies and shit, but c'mon.

(Also what the FUCK is up with Clavis thinking Leon would let a bunch of refugees be slaughtered just because it might make things diplomatically difficult?? the guy literally gives spies who betray him second chances lmao)

3. It’s a tie between Shu and Reiji, I’m sorry I just can’t choose in my opinion they’re the prettiest along side Ayato, I’m just rlly into smart characters with mommy issues ( here referring to Reiji 👹 ) Also let’s talk about how much Shu describes my whole personality lol I also sleep and listen to music the whole time but I’m not cold like him and he’s actually really funny, their interaction together is really interesting / funny, I always love when they interact.

I don’t have any major opinion about him, I’m not really into pervert characters but he is hilarious, I know he has some severe trauma ( well like the rest of them ) yet again there’s no excuse to anything that they did to Yui. Now let me be honest and don’t come after me for this cuz I know a lot of people like Kanato but I hate him sm 💀, He is so annoying and my anger issues could never handle him, that one coffee scene with Yui in the Anime still pisses me off to this day, I swear if I was Yui I would start slapping the shit out of him, he acts like he either bullies or gets bullied by kids on Roblox. AG Cowgirl Outfits

Following in the footsteps of @enby-dollhouse and @doll-collecting-aerialist, who did posts on the variety of ballerina and tennis outfits respectively, I wanted to do my take on a section of AG outfits I love: cowgirls! Saddle up and let's head out!

Rootin', Tootin' Cowgirl (1998)

Okay, so maybe this is the outfit that inspired me to do this post in the first place. This is adorable. It's rootin'. It's tootin'. I love the bright blue color. It's advertised as a Halloween costume, but doubles just fine as a fancy rodeo outfit. I do like the idea that you can be the sheriff, or the bandit, or both at the same time! And lest we forget to mention that black cat trick-r-treat bucket!!

Molly's Dude Ranch Outfit (2004)

Is anybody doing it like Miss Molly? This outfit was not connected with any book but released as part of a "Summer Fun" collection. I like to imagine Molly went to a dude ranch near Yellowstone National Park, or maybe somewhere along her Route 66 Adventure. It's cute and pretty authentic to rodeo shows. Also, look at her little canteen!

Nicki's Ranch Outfit (2007)

Most cowgirls don't wear the fancy rodeo costumes like a lot of people think: those are for the shows and fairs! During her daily work, Nicki wears her own pink version of modern jeans, chaps, and boots. And of course her staw hat to protect her from the sun.

Rustic Ranch Outfit (2008)

Another practical outfit; it may look impractical to wear a skirt but I've seen girls who prefer it, if they are riding side-saddle. The vest is kind've plain, but it comes with a horse-themed scrapbook and a (faux) leather Western Hat.

Western Riding Outfit (2010)

Definitely a casual pick for our cowgirl. Fit for farm or school, everybody knows exactly what animal is this American Girl's favorite. Like Nicki, this girl wears a straw hat, but she'll need sunblock if she's going to ride all day with those short sleeves and skirt!

Western Plaid Outfit (2014)

I like to think of this as Abercrombie Horse Girl. I'm not sure how practical that dress is for horse riding, and I'm a bit worried about those loose band around her boots. Still, this girl has something not previously seen, even with Nicki, and that's the very important helmet! Always wear a helmet while horse riding!!

Pretty Pink Riding Outfit (2014)

Sold at the same time as the previous one, so you could choose which outfit you wanted with your life-saving helmet. This girl is wearing what I liked to call Gucci Horse Girl.

Blue-Ribbon Riding Outfit (1998)

I forgot this one so I'm adding it here to show you what I would consider an Ideal Horse Riding outfit. Helmet: check! Proper boots: check! The coat even comes with functional pockets and inner thigh padding. She certainly gets the blue ribbon from me for best dressed!

Maryellen's Cowgirl Outfit (2022)

Ah, a return to classics! This is about as stereotypical "cowgirl" as you can get. As far as I'm aware, this is meant to be her Halloween costume, which tracks with how popular cowgirls & cowboys were during the 1950s. Lookin' cute, Miss Maryellen!

Lila's Horseback Riding Outfit (2024)

I think when Glen Campbell sang "Rhinestone Cowboy" he wasn't talking about this. Still, maybe this is what horse girls these days wear? It's a shame to see a modern girl without a helmet, but you can't deny this fits Miss Lila's style to a tee!

Sting is like the anti-dysphoria fairy. I think out of every possible boyfriend option in the series, he'd be the best at this sort of thing. You think he wears that fur-lined crop top and those elbow-length gloves because he likes gender conformity? Lmao. Sting not only is a hype man by nature, he loves your masculinity, your male-ness, and encourages it and your expression of it however you choose. You want tips on serving pure "dude" or just affirmation? He's the one you go to.

See, if Rogue were your boyfriend, he'd be the type to respond to you being addressed with the wrong pronoun by just talking about you casually and using the correct pronoun without drawing attention to it. Not Sting--he loudly and pointedly corrects people the second they make that mistake, just because he knows people don't be paying no fuccin attention half the time. It's embarrassing at first because of how gung-ho he is about it but it's something you end up liking about him.

Sting is the type of bisexual dude to call himself gay at literally every opportunity and endorse anything that allows him to feel more gay. At first you think he's constantly referring to you as his boyfriend in public to make you feel good--then you realize he just really really likes letting people know he got himself a man.

If you don't know your best angles, Sting will find them for you. He's very much an Instagram bf, always taking pictures, even when you're just doing nothing sitting there drinking coffee. His phone is chock full of you and yes, you're his lock screen.

Do you have a name you like yet? Don't get it twisted, if you've already got all your manly gameplans in order, it's all good, but if you start dating him while transitioning, he will have endless recommendations as to your new name. You're dating a guy named Sting Eucliffe, after all.

Sting does not dim his light to keep pace with anyone, he emphasizes his partner's qualities as best he can. Even if you're the shy type by nature, like Rogue, you'll find that Sting never overpowers your presence in a room. Remember what I said about automatically being the hot person x hot person couple? Even if you start out known to peers as "Sting Eucliffe's boyfriend", it doesn't stay that way for long.

He does, perhaps, simp a bit. He's not wound around your finger, but you can get him to bend to your will a little more easily than other people around him.

12. what's your favorite voices dynamic?

oooooh this one's hard! i love the voices but while many of them have cute exchanges here and there, the overall dynamics tend to peter out as the route develops, as the focus (naturally) shifts to the princess or they devolve into mere arguing. which is fine but it makes choosing one to place over the others a bit hard.

for my money, it'll have to be hero's two boyfriends, of course. there's a good reason why contrahero and parahero are the biggest voice ships and it's because they're so cute.

leaving with stranger is my personal favorite ending because, while it breaks my heart to leave my boys, knowing for sure hero has contrarian by his side makes my heart warm. love love love their banter too ♡♡♡

The one time he tried, he said some pretty obviously triggering things to the crazy gf and got stabbed. He did not have the foresight to come with backup, announce where he would be, etc. He lived only because the gf that stabbed him calls you to come help him while she's still spiraling out of control.

Of all the kids I think it makes most sense for Raf to be the one who sets it all up. Maybe he's always wanted to play it but never had a large enough group of friends to do so till now. Jack likely knows about DnD but avoided it due to it being a nerd game (or perceived that way) and idk if Miko would've heard about it at all.

Optimus - Dragonborn Paladin. Dude is so paladin coded, I can't imagine him playing anything else. As for race, I think Optimus would be completely lost on what to choose and end up letting the kids choose for him. Went with dragonborn because I'm incredibly biased towards them. I can see his character being a silver dragonborn with spots of red and blue scales. I wanna draw that so bad now oml

Ratchet - Modified Construct (as in, a homebrew Construct race that's literally just a Cybertronian but human height) Cleric. Or maybe an artificer that leans more towards healing? Idk if one can make a healing artificer but I'm sure Ratchet would go that route. I imagine he would have the hardest time getting into the game at first. And then getting so absorbed into it, he ends up looking up all the game lore in his spare time and becoming the most obsessed with the game by the end of the campaign.

Bulkhead - Halfling, gnome, or dwarf, because I think it would be funny if Bulkhead played the small character while Miko played the giant one. I can see him being either a fighter or a bard, giving him an excuse to blast rock music whenever his character plays music in game

Bumblebee - Human rougue. Let him be fast and sneaky as a treat

Arcee - Human monk. She wants to punch and kick things real good

Jack - Feel like he'd end up defaulting to being the only magic based class user since everyone else would be so focused on physical type combat. I myself have a hard time playing magic based classes, but warlock is fairly easy to understand I think? Would be an interesting dynamic between Jack's and Optimus' characters, as one is powered by holy light and the other gains power from a demonic pact. Fairly sure he'd stick to human for race, maybe half elf

Miko - Goliath or half giant for race, as big as she can possibly make her character. Can't decide between barbarian or bard for her. Whichever Bulkhead goes with, she'd maybe go opposite? Whatever covers the bases of the other, as I'm sure they'd plan out their characters together

Rafael - No doubt in my mind that he'd be the DM. I think he'd be a very patient DM and be able to find ways to explain the game to the Autobots that the other two couldn't really do themselves. May even homebrew creatures in the game to look like native creatures of Cybertron after consulting Ratchet on them. If he was playing a character, I see him going with a wizard/sorceror elf. Probably in the event that Ratchet gets so into the game that he ends up DMing the next campaign jbjvjjd Which uhhh certainly becomes an experience for all involved

My Take on Belle's WORST Choices

(I'm on Yves, the last route I need to do, so this might change, but so far these are it)

The routes with the worst choice of King of Rhodolite (in no particular order): Silvio's, Jin's, and Clavis's.

Spoilers below

King Chevalier in Silvio's route.

So, the route literally even acknowledges that Chevalier is for a short term problem: they've got a Gilbert-involved-foreign-policy-issue at that very moment and that's the only reason Chevalier became king. However, it's not like Chevalier just...wouldn't help anyone else if he wasn't king? Like the dude isn't gonna go "fuck it" and move to Jade lmao

But also the ENTIRE ROUTE continually showed/discussed why a king like Chev would be a poor king: He doesn't listen or consider other people, he thinks he's always right, he hides important information from the people around him, he'd sacrifice nearly anyone for his plans, etc. And why looking for a GOOD LONG TERM KING was important, actually. This isn't softened Chev-route-Chev, who will actually like...take feedback sometimes, this is still just normal Chev. The guy the route clearly showed was like the shitty antagonist King of Benetoite.

King Jin in Jin's route.

This is similar to the Silvio route issue--there's a lot of parts of the route that pretty much say "this isn't the type of king we should have" and guess what, it's the Jin-type.

His reputation alone is a big issue that will make people think of the Broken Beast, which the route makes it pretty clear they should probably try to avoid. On top of that, unlike in Nokto's route, his plot climax wasn't ultimately some trick where he showed off how clever he was or that he had gained more self-worth, it really was a kamikaze mission, not his last brush with recklessness before changing. Also he's the one who was like "kings and Belles can't get together", if he was just a prince he could have justified it to himself without just being like 'naw, I'll be different, just erase that clause' (Luke even talks about that multiple times).

He's a significantly better choice in Luke's route, where weirdly it seems like he has a somewhat contradictory philosophy to his own route (I'm also still unsure why he was a better choice than Leon there, the excuse was pretty poorly done, but he wasn't such a bad choice).

King Chevalier in Clavis's route.

Okay so...like...you spend a whole month being dragged around on adventures with a guy and fall in love with him...and then make his older brother he has all these fucked up emotions towards and has tried to kill, and resents an absolute ton and based most of his personality around antagonizing...the king....I just....

I mean, the entire later plot of the route depends on the other princes not really existing as more than names, but they couldn't really get more obvious that they had Belle choose Chev solely for the drama and not because there was any real justification for it. Because, again, Chev isn't just going to stop defending Rhodolite/fighting against Gilbert because someone else becomes king.

But they clearly didn't want to be bothered coming up with a plot that would work if they acknowledged Leon, or Jin, or Yves, or Nokto, or........

Diabolik Lovers: Haunted Dark Bridal Part 4 - Sakamaki Shu Route 

Lmao when you pick Shu for the LI and Ayato says Yui has bad taste. LMAO at Yui trying her best to talk to Shu because he's so uninterested in anything and she asks him if he can turn into a vampire and fly😂😂😂 Yui kissing Shu on the cheek to get him to go to class was so cute. Shu is like lazy to a new level, who goes into the bath with their clothes on and sleeps there while sinking lmao. Like obviously he's not going to die but is it really comfortable?! HAHAHA, Shu was smiling at listening to women moaning on his earphones?! I am dead, legit died when he gave an earphone to Yui to let her listen, what a guy😂😂😂 I find it cute how much he teases Yui haha. It's like genuine cute teasing for once in this game😂 I didn't expect Shu to start kissing Yui on the sofa just to annoy Reiji lol, no complaints from me though! I love how random Shu is, dude is just sleeping on the floor in the church and Yui steps on him when she's cleaning?! HAHAHA, love the CG where you can see her shoe stepping on him😂 Out of all the guys, I have to admit that I definitely didn't expect Shu to be the one who would say to Yui what colour her underwear is😂 I also did not expect the scene where Shu is too lazy to go to school and says if Yui wants him to go then she has to put on his uniform for him, and she had to put on his pants for him?! Honestly, no matter how much I cared, I wouldn't do that hahaha. Shu really is a crazy guy in his own way. I wonder what Reiji's problem with Shu is though considering he always thinks of Shu as trash. Anyway, it's pretty hilarious to see Shu win in darts when everyone looks down on him for being lazy. Everyone watching him as he bites down and sucks Yui's blood was amusing.. I have to admit though, for once I'm not really into the binaural audio for Shu lol. I feel like it's missing something? It's not sensual I guess?

It seems like the reason Shu is so "lazy" is actually because his butler and maid never let him do anything. His mother, Beatrix didn't want him exposed to the outside world so he was basically living like he was in gaol I assume, but even more restricted because he's not allowed out. I wonder if that's why he has a habit of sleeping all the time, it's because he literally can't do anything besides sleep and sleeping is the easiest way for time to pass. It's actually pretty cute how Shu insists on staying in the same room as Yui even if he's just sleeping there and his room is next door lmao. He's so fond of her and loves teasing her haha. Something I've always found amusing is that they all go to school and are third years lol, like haven't they been living for a while since they're vampires? He's really lazy to a new level to not bother taking baths and when he does, he doesn't take off his clothes lmao. Honestly, I'm lazy too but when it affects how comfortable you are, then it's definitely a problem! I guess the issue here is that according to him, nothing is really of issue so he just does nothing. Lmao when Yui said she's using to taking off men's clothes because of him but still struggling😆 Shu can be terrifying too.. I was worried for Yui when he tried to push her to sit on the chair with spikes and then forced her into the iron maiden, like omg that's scary! I know he mainly just wants to see her reaction but if she didn't push back, she could well and easily die.

LOL when he said she can touch his butt or something🤣 It's amazing how lazy he is that he's making Yui wash him, although I guess it's not "just" because he's lazy. I wonder if Shu is the only vampire to have actually made friends with a human and cherished them enough that he still remembers them to this day. I still wonder what is Reiji's problem with Shu because he's so insufferable lol. As for Yui, it seems like she's basically truly and freely choosing to be with Shu, at least it feels to be the least manipulative relationship, but it's not like I'm here for any self-respect so Shu is actually too tame sometimes🤣 Seeing how scared Shu was of the fire was pretty shocking. Like, we knew he had trauma but to this extent? I wonder how many years Shu has repeated school with the way he attends lol. Anyway, I didn't realise Yui and Shu were in different years so it's cute to see them sitting together and taking class together haha. Shu is such a perv to say so brazenly to Yui during class that he had a dream of them together in bed lol! Even more crazy that he wanted to strip her in front of everyone, what a guy lmao.

It's actually pretty crazy how jealous Reiji is of Shu, he's so obsessed. I feel bad for Yui getting stabbed just because he can't hack that Shu has "everything" so he'll destroy it all instead. Considering how much of a villain Reiji is, it's crazy to think he's an LI. He burnt the village/forest leading to childhood Shu's best friend's death and kills Yui now, like omg, how am I supposed to feel for this guy in his route lol! I'm so glad Shu got his revenge on Reiji because he's been way too tolerant all this time, but I do feel bad that Yui had to die for something like this to occur. It was really sweet to see Shuu not even hesitate to cut himself and give his blood to Yui the moment he heard her heart thump. You can tell how desperate he is and how much he loves her. It's sad that even though she was revived as a vampire, the effects of the stabbing caused her to be in a state of frailty and be basically blind now but she lives because she wants to stay with Shu. OMG, Shu is the oldest brother??? I didn't realise lol! Very unexpected haha! I really didn't like the third ending though because Reiji and Shuu literally just killed each other and then it ended! I probably feel the worse for Yui though because it means she becomes the play toy for the rest of the brothers. It was such a random ending lmao.

Okay, Shu in the first ending saying he's okay with throwing everything else away except her just made me so happy haha! Yui looking pretty seductive and suggestive haha, it's nice to see her assert some dominance🤣 But I think the nicest thing is seeing Shu leave that house with the only thing he needs in his life, Yui. It was so sweet when he said his life has no meaning without her, but I think the sweetest thing he did was apologising to her and asking her not to cry, you could really feel his genuine concern and desire for her to smile and not cry when she's with him and I think that was the most sincere display of his love for her. I also genuinely love how Shu is okay with Yui killing him and can easily tell when it's not her. There's gotta be some fetish with having your enemy (Reiji) sucking Yui's blood and then having Shu disinfect it and drink her blood lol because I thought it was such a weird scenario haha. I honestly hate Reiji and his jealousy. Well, dang, Yui sure has become a wild girl to skip class, climb on top of Shuu and do lewd stuff with him in school! Not that I'm complaining since it was pretty hot. Having Laito spice up their bedroom game is kinda funny, especially when he couldn't get Yui as turned on as Shu could🤣 I mean, to be fair, she only likes Shu so that affects everything.

Overall, Shu is most likely the most "normal" guy in this game. I mean I haven't played Reiji and Subaru's routes yet but only Subaru has the chance to be more normal haha. Anyway, it seems like Shu is actually pretty popular so I'm actually disappointed that I didn't like his route as much as I thought! I actually wanted to know more about his mother and stuff which was barely explored, instead it focused on the death of his friend leading him into becoming the person he is that doesn't care for anyone which is understandable but why did they have to make Reiji such an ass? How do I do his route after this lol. I also wasn't really a fan of the extent his laziness went because omg, half the time I'm not sure if he's qualified as a body or a person in the first half of the route with the way Yui had to take care of him. However, I do admit that after he fell in love, I probably enjoyed their romantic gestures and interactions the most out of all the guys, mainly because Shu is very expressive with his words, actions and emotions so you can really see how much he loves Yui and cherishes her in a very sweet way. It was really sweet and heartwarming to see that Yui could be treated in such a humane way LOL, I was happy for her. The downside is that this route lacks depravity lmao, and also I feel like Shu's binaural audio lines were much more lacklustre compared to the others but I guess that's also because he doesn't say much sexy stuff lolll. But yeah, definitely a more bland, tame, sweet lazy cinnamon roll route, which isn't too bad haha but not what you sign up for when you play a game like this lmao, still good though.

1. What is your favorite currently released episode?

Episode 3 and 4 are definitely head to head as my favorites. I love the ability to connect further with certain characters in episode 3, plus the haunted house scenes are my favorite of any scene throughout the entire game so far. But I have a lot of love for episode 4, especially as a Reesemancer and Waynemancer. And the last scene with Stella, more so when you have Tabby with you. I think there’s so much revealed in both of these episodes that leads me to love them more than the first 2.

2. What is your least favorite currently released episode?

I wouldn’t say any episode is my least favorite, but before the recently added content I did tend to rush through episode 1. I’ve played more routes in Scarlet Hollow than in any other game so I very much had that entire first episode memorized before the update.

3. Who is/are your favorite main character(s)?

Ugh this is hard to answer actually because I love them all in different ways. I think top 5 would have to be Wayne, Oscar, Kaneeka, Reese and Avery in no particular order. Gretchen honorary mention.

4. Who is/are your least favorite main character(s)?

I don’t think I have any least favorites. I have beef with the majority of the Scarlet bloodline though. And Sybil.

Favorite side characters would be Frou Frou, Dustin, Rosaline and Alexis, and I have to say I’m intrigued by Pastor Daniel and his ability to speak to animals. Wouldn’t say I have any least favorites at the moment, except for maybe the dude on the bus at the very beginning.

6. Who is/are your MC(s)? Traits, job, living situation, ect.

I’m gonna organize a doc for each of my MCs and put it here once I find the time!

7. What is/are your favorite trait(s)? Your favorite trait combination(s)?

Favorite traits are Mystical, Book Smart, Hot and Talk to Animals. Favorite combos are Mystical and Book Smart, Hot and Powerful Build (I ❤️ himbos), Mystical and Talk to Animal, Keen Eye and Street Smarts, Talk to Animals and Mystical. Huge fan of Mystical as you can see.

8. What are your favorite trait exclusive interactions?

Really any and all Talk to Animals exclusive interactions. Book Smart interactions in the haunted house scenes, also the Mystical interactions there. Powerful Build and being able to choose violence when it comes to the ditchlings and/or Wayne. Using the Hot trait to win people over is hilarious to me, shout out to Reesemance scene where you can calm him down with your hotness.

9. What difficult game changing choice was the hardest for you to make?

I’d have to say the choice between saving Duke and Gretchen is a hard one for me, although I choose Gretchen every time. Also the haunting and choosing to give up years of MC’s life; I tend to almost always have Tabitha with me so even her choosing to give up years of her life over the MC is difficult. Thanking the devs for the book smart trait.

Honestly would have to say any choice regarding Reese is hard to make, granted I always either let him eat his mom or I use the hot trait to get him to see reason. He deserves a chance at living out on his own so it’s hard to just let Dr. Kelly lock him up or allow Tabby to kill him.

10. How would you personally deal with each of the dilemmas in the game? Would you make similar choices as your mc(s) or not?

For saving Duke or Gretchen dilemma, I personally believe I could save them both. But I also personally wouldn’t find myself in that situation to begin with, I am NOT going out exploring the woods with some random white girl I just met in a town I’ve never been in. But I digress. The mine collapse,, would not be wasting time talking to those kids like I’m getting all of them out as soon as I find them. I don’t care how badly those kids yearn for the mines. I personally think calling Tabitha is always the right move to make here, too. For the haunted house dilemma, I’m not giving up years of my life although I know I’d feel terrible about not helping Charles Shaw Jr. move on. I think I’d be able to talk him into moving on though, and having Tabitha with me will always feel impactful because of revelations that come to light. Also for the #cousinbonding. I think I’d allow Wayne to help me. For the Reese dilemma I would definitely just try to get him out of there, with or without killing his mom.

Not sure what counts specifically as a dilemma although I know those are the pretty major ones, but I’d definitely do more to help Kaneeka see through Sybil’s manipulation. Oh and I’m not taking Tabitha’s side in the strike, I don’t in any of my playthroughs - but I do try to help her see reason in one way or another. So I guess you could say my own choices would be pretty similar to that of my MCs.

11. Who do you plan on romancing?

My top 3 for romancing are Wayne, Kaneeka and Reese. Oscar and Avery huge honorary mentions of course.

12. What's your favorite ship(s)? What's your least favorite ship(s)?

Favorite ships would have to be my MC(s) x Wayne obviously, Stella x Tabitha, and I’m a big fan of Kaneeka x Reese. Least favorite ship is the infamous incest cousin ship. Please stay away from me.

13. What's your favorite non romantic relationship in the game? (Friendship, family, ect)

Favorites would have to be MC cousin bonding time with Tabby. Love Tabitha and Kaneeka’s interactions - Kaneeka has incredibly valid reasons for hating her although I love that despite their beef Tabitha thinks that they’re alike. Also huge fan of Gretchen and Frou Frou’s beef. Rosaline and Alexis’ friendship is sweet. Really hoping for more Kaneeka and Avery interactions in upcoming episodes, their dynamic was very entertaining in episode 4.

14. Any predictions/theories you have about future episodes?

Hmm not sure if I have any? I know that I’m looking forward to more revelations about the Scarlet bloodline. Oh I do theorize some sort of connection to the witch and Sybil at some point, hopefully. Also think there’s more to Avery than meets the eye. NOT looking forward to Oscar going through more of the horrors. Also predict we’ll find out more of what Wayne is and his connection to us, that honestly falls under why I think there’s more to Avery.

15. What is a fan theory that you like?

I love the fan theory that Tabitha has supernatural powers, more so animalistic powers given her and Gretchen are the only ones that can catch Reese’s weird smell. I think her having any supernatural power wouldn’t be far off anyway, pretty sure it’s implied. I also have my own theory that the witch from the Charles Shaw Jr. haunting is related to Sybil and Kaneeka - this new update in which we get to meet Kaneeka earlier on and with the mystical trait we get this eery feeling that we’ve met before kind of added to my theory.

16. What is a fan theory that you don't like?

I think the worst theories I’ve seen have involved incest. There’s also this one theory I saw about the stranger on the bus in the beginning being connected to everything - which I will admit, would be hilarious as fuck but I just don’t find it interesting I guess. No hate to the fan. Oh and another one is a theory that Sybil poisoned her husband.

17. What's a moment in the game that scared you/freaked you out?

There aren’t any scenes that really scared me, when I first played obviously the “scary” events shocked me a bit. But the only thing that I think would count towards freaking me out were the creaky sounds coming from the characters’ bodies during the haunting. Made my bones hurt.

18. What's a moment in the game that destroyed you?

Tabitha and Stella reunion scene near the end of episode 4. The dialogue after Reese eats his mom in episode 4. I think the responsibility Kaneeka feels to stay destroyed me, mostly because I relate to it a lot but thinking about the way Sybil manipulates her own daughter really gets to me.

19. What is/are your favorite scene(s) in the game?

Oh gosh this is kind of hard to narrow down so I’ll just choose a few favorite scenes from each episode. First episode would have to be the MC’s introduction to Wayne, more specifically if you’re in the car with Tabitha at that moment. Also love the ditchling scene - I think more so the things you hear depending on certain traits you have.

Second episode would have to be talking to Avery, and the ability to get to know more about them and how they ended up in Scarlet Hollow. That and the first supernatural experience you have with Tabitha in the mines, it’s also nice seeing her and Stella interact.

Episode three I’d have to say every part of the haunted house scene, specifically if you have the Mystical trait and have Tabby with you. Wayne crushing a ditchling with his foot ❤️ yay. Also the scene where you can tell everyone you thought it was hot and they all look at you like :0 or :/.

And my favorite scene(s) from episode four would have to be snooping through Stella’s computer (finding the pictures of her and Tabby always tug at my heart strings), when Avery appears on your walk out in the morning - I find their insight and their views in general to be interesting and (I’ll have to go in game to pinpoint the exact line) there seems to be some parallels to Wayne. I think the same could be said about the role they play when you invite them ghost busting. The entirety of breaking into Dr. Kelly’s office, finding out what Reese is, etc etc is my favorite. If you have Tabby with you - her reunion with Stella and lastly the last conversation you have with Wayne at the end of the episode. More specially the line “Do you not feel the ties that bind us? They are unbreakable.”

first eene headcanon that feels niche - i always made rolf from ukraine in my head. rolf is my dad's fave character because he reminded my dad of his extended family on my grandmas side, and her parents came over from ukraine. i didnt even realize what a headcanon was when i was a kid i was just like "my dad likes rolf, hes from the ukraine" lol.

lmfaooooooo that last bit is fucking hilarious. eddy you fuckin dickhead. i agree big time, but i personally think he'd struggle cuz he just loses his mind tbh. like i think his ocd and gad would get so out of control that he'd have a really hard time doing anything. i haven't decided whether he'd end up checking into a hospital for a while and have to drop out or whether he'd get through by the skin of his teeth and only after having picked up some really unhealthy coping skills (becoming a wino).

however i can see him having decision paralysis like you mentioned and hesitating for a long time, till it's almost too late. he is a guy of many talents and interests so it makes sense that he'd have a hard time choosing what to theoretically spend the rest of his life doing. in the show he mentions wanting to travel the world i think? which struck me as kind of odd but i mean i guess it makes sense given his curious nature and whatnot. even i have trouble deciding what he'd end up doing. i like the doctor/surgeon idea, i like the idea of him being a teacher (specifically a hs choral director hehe), i like him as an engineer/inventor, i like him as a psychiatrist, i like him as a professional musician. perhaps he dabbles in a bit of all of it lol. i do think he'd be in college well into his 30s, so he'd have time to get multiple degrees. i think? idk i have no clue how college works.

omg this is so funny cuz it's totally different than how i imagine adult eddy, but i think i can see it. he is a big music guy, and no doubt he views himself as "sexy AND chubby" lmao.

that said, in the scenario that edd goes the teaching route, it's totally in character for eddy's scammin ass to pretend to be him just to make rent. down to the insulting voice impersonation over the phone. he ends up warping those poor children but they love him cuz he's fun. unfortunately he ends up in prison for a minimum of one year and is ordered to pay a hefty fine :/ the more i think about it the funnier it gets.
