Me: you know, maybe when I talk about how smart speakers are spying on us, I'm just being kinda paranoid and buying into conspiracy theories

Security training at my job: Make sure when working from home you either don't have important conversations around smart speakers, or better yet, just turn them off for the duration of your workday!

Me: ah 🥲

#this is the reality we live in #i worry about believing in conspiracies designed to harm ppl #cuz you have to be very weary about what you believe in these days #but damn. job spelt it out loud and clear for me #security training also said to not use ai to create notes for work meetings #bc anything you send through isnt confidential and can be used by the ai for other purposes #so yeah. lol
