Once upon a time

‘Prince’ Yandere x reader

Imagine a reader in modern day society. She lives in a normal little town, went to your average school, lives in a normal house and has your everyday friendly neighbours. Like I said, her life is nothing out of the ordinary.

She feels lucky to have so many kind people in her life. Everyone knows everyone and isn’t afraid of lending a helping hand whenever someone is in trouble. The town is on the smaller side but very cozy. They have their own traditions like the annual Christmas market or the summer fundraiser. Nice stuff like that.

Everything is simply perfect! Or…well it would be if not for one tiny detail.

Unfortunately there’s one guy who just can’t seem to take a hint. Reader feels kinda mean thinking of him as a stain on the idyllic life she’s built. She doesn’t understand why he can’t take a ‘no’ for an answer. Everyday this hunk of a man walks right into her workplace like he owns the place and demands reader’s attention. With the way he’s acting you would think he’s dying and reader’s attention is the one and only cure.

It’s not like he’s ugly or anything, but a guy who doesn’t listen is just a 🚩

That’s not even the worst part. Another big issue is his…delusions.

Like, one time when reader was walking home she decided to stop by the market square since she needed some groceries. And guess who was in the middle of the square, somehow managed to climb onto the water fountain and proudly shouting at the top of his lungs? Part of reader’s soul disintegrated that day. What in the world was he doing!? He didn’t seem to be embarrassed either. No, with his nose pointed upwards he said he was going to reveal a big secret about the whole town. Silence filled he air, everyone was curious about what he was about to say.

What was this secret? Had someone committed a grave crime and was about to be exposed? Thoughts like that circled in everyone’s mind. Their imagination came to life and dreamt up various scenarios to what the deal was. People anticipated something foul, raw and sinful only to be met with grave disappointment.

You see, the man had suddenly declared himself as royalty in front of an entire audience. He claimed that the whole town was under a spell and had forgotten about their origins; being fairytale characters. And right now, only he was able to remember the truth. Alright, what the hell? That was ridiculous. What made it worse was the fact that he appointed himself as the towns prince and leader. Yikes. He said most- if not all- of the citizens where peasants and therefore his subjects. That’s why the had to listen to him from now on.

Reader wanted to peel off her skin and scream in that moment. The secondhand embarrassment was too much.

Bringing down shame upon yourself and your ancestors was one thing, but did he have to drag reader into it?? He claimed she was also royalty and should be treated with outmost respect. Why? Because he’s her husband! Of course his spouse need the 5-star treatment as well.

After the painful incident he’s always stopped by her workplace to talk her ear off. No matter what she said or did(or how much others complained) he never left. At least not permanently. In rare instances he did go with a downcast expression but he’d always be back full force the next day.

The man tells reader about the wonderful life they were going to have. If only the curse wouldn’t have been placed and they’d all been transported to the world they currently live in. It pains him so to know she’s forgotten all about him and the great love they shared. But it’ll be alright. After all, they found each other again and he refuses to let go.

Reader only half listens(he will throw a tantrum if he realises she’s not paying attention to him) as he drones on about how they first met in the forest. Of course he found her by hearing a wonderful song travel through the woods, he followed it all the way to her. They danced together and met every sundown from then on. It was so romantic. It’s impossible not to roll your eyes at the cliche imagery, it’s just so corny.

Yandere ‘prince’ also demands reader to refer to him by his royal, ‘real’ name. It’s not his real one, it’s something else. Everyone knows that- except him, apparently, since he refuses to respond to it. If you do use it, he’ll ignore you and pretend you didn’t speak at all. It’s very tiring, more so since he tries to enforce this delusion onto reader. He also won’t use her actual name and instead settles for this medieval one. Apart from that, he calls her ‘love,’ ‘darling’, ‘my heart’ and other cutesy nicknames that are far from appreciated.

It doesn’t matter what reader says, he won’t stop.

He insists he wants to be her saviour again. Sadly for him there is nothing to protect you from except the occasional spider that makes its way inside your house.

‘Well, it’s better than nothing.’ He would say before smacking and tossing it out.

He is willing to do anything for his lover. And that really does means anything. Nothing is off the table. It wasn’t before and it definitively isn’t now simply because of some lame curse. It can’t keep him form his soulmate.

He was your prince before, he’ll show you that he still is.

Men who talk a certain way.

They carry themselves with elegance, talk with a poised cadence unique to them. They hold themselves upright and have an air of superiority. A cunning look, signature smirk, firm hand; these are staples of their character, they know how to strike a deal. Whether for their people or their own gain, they intimidate those to gain an advantage no matter how many exploits gone through or people exploited.

People either love or fear them.

They’re important.

It’s no surprise that they sit at the centre of the table at a meeting, commanding attention. All eyes are on them, gripping their every word. Prompt nods and murmurs of agreements follow. They’re smart too. Incredible wit and perceptiveness as they continuously glance at everyone, especially you.

Fuck, and they’re hot too.

It makes your blood run hot. Jolts shoot throughout your body and you avert your gaze. It was stupid to you to be losing your cool for a man who felt indifferent about your existence. Maybe that isn’t the right word. 

Sometimes, you would question whether he hated you. Whenever you needed a pen, your hands brushed against one another for a second and he would quickly pull back as if being stung by a bee with a slight scowl forming on his face. If the piles of paper you needed to finish took too long, he would be adamant you finish for the night, which is all fine and dandy if he wasn’t looking for help from others to complete your work. He even reprimanded you, talked to you in that familiar stern tone once for not having your priorities in place when a stranger came up to you in a flirtatious manner as if you could control that. 

He pissed you off. 

Why couldn’t he care about you like a normal person?

However, you were wrong about all of it. He cared too much.

When your fingers grazed him he was ridden with guilt, these were the same hands he would think about at night. Imagine tracing the sharp edges of his skin. He would shut his eyes and throw his head back, replacing his hands with your own. Try to commit the soft feel of yours to his. Would you go slow or fast? He wondered. How would you hold him? Would you let him make a mess? His thoughts would trail on and on questioning your grip, your face, what you would say.

So, it was no surprise when he saw you working yourself to exhaustion that he wanted you to rest. That was his duty after all. Only he could do that. The eyes that he desperately wanted to see glazed over with a lust filled haze needed to be well rested first. That way, he could slowly see them become drunk for him, turning red, bloodshot from just how well he would treat you.

And it was especially no surprise that when another person had the audacity to want you too, he had to stop them. Sure, you didn’t deserve the scolding but he would make you feel so much better later on. He just had to be patient.

Had to keep his tone steady and tame. Pretend to treat you just like everyone else. Even if you thought he hated you. He could fuck you like that too if you wanted. He would give you anything you wanted. However, you didn’t deserve to know how depraved he truly was.

There was a thought that lingered at the forefront of his mind. If you found out just how he imagined you, would you leave? He figured you might feel disgusted, a man of his caliber, his power, wanting to succumb to you. And so he continued to talk. Continued to keep his tone steady. Keep his tone tame. 

He would keep himself in line; refined. Because if you found out how he was imagining you, perhaps then this man would truly feel fear.

I don't see many people talking about it, but one of the more interesting and most definitely the cutest characteristic of recent South Park is Trey Parker's daughter voicing some specific characters. Most viewers might not even realize how much impact she has on the actual show. For instance, when she has favorite pop songs, Trey makes sure to include them in the episodes, such as Humble in S21E1 or when she got into horse dressage, Trey made an episode about it (S25E4), and he specifically stays up to date about current children's trends through her. I'm here to take you on a journey of the characters she played, so naturally first comes Ike.

Ike Broflovski Ike had a lot of voice actors, famously voiced by the children of crew members. Betty's been voicing Ike since season 20, and that might just be a reason why Ike had such a big role in that season, since Trey evidently loved making his daughter say the silly obscene things Ike said. She started doing the voice when she was 3 years old, just like Ike is. And while she gained other roles, she still does Ike at the age of 10 in S26.

Hannah Williams Interestingly this first grader, Hannah, has been a background character since S9, waaay before Betty was even born. But she was never named and she never said a word. That changed, when in S21E2 she is singing at a school talent show, voiced by Betty. In S22 she continues voicing Ike and also she provides sound for the priest call whiste. ("I love Jesus! I love Jesus!")

As of S23 she is also credited for voicing the PC Babies, most prominently Riley, and a vegan boy, who might be a first or second grader, she is also Menorah in S24, the daughter of future Eric.

However an interesting shift happens at the end of The Return of Covid, in which we meet an entirely new character, Heather Williams (also mistakenly addressed as Heather Thomson before her on-screen appearance) who is decidedly a new fourth grader created specifically for Betty to voice.

We first see her watching Terrance and Phillip and eating ice cream. Then the boys (as adults from the future) blackmail her with a photo of her farting, since she can get Denver Nuggets tickets from her dad. Then she becomes a recurring character in S25, keeping the idea that whenever Trey thinks a line would be funnier if it came from the mouth of an actual child, he invited Betty to say it.

In Pajama Day she calls PC Principal a fascist and appears to be friends with Wendy and Millie. And she dares to argue with Eric about the correct pajama terminology at a kids meeting. In The Big Fix, she is seen in the main fourth graders' classroom, arguing with Stan, and it's clear Trey enjoys Betty opposing with his characters specifically.

I wonder if there's some history behind her voicing two characters named Williams. We know she played a girl called Harper at the South Park 25th Anniversary Concert specifically named after one of her friends, so Williams might be the surname of one of her friends as well. Soon, Heather fades into the background without any explanation, after the show seemingly decided to make her a regular, she gets replaced. Why? It seems like when Betty got 9 years old, Trey decided she should get a permanent character. Perhaps for that idea, they had a better design to use...

Back in S24, before either Heather Williams or Menorah Cartman got introduced, there was a Lil' Qties member who has never appeared before. She was specifically designed by Betty, seemingly already created to serve as her avatar (and I applaud Trey's bravery to represent her daughter as an anti-vaccine character). Still, I forgot about her, kept waiting for Heather Williams to have a role in S26, and instead when Stan's family buys a japanese toilet, which girl voiced by Betty shows up?

The blonde girl with the black jacket and bow. And she's officially named Betsy now. The personality is the same as Heather Williams: an assertive, outspoken girl who lashes out at Trey's characters without ever being talked back to. Except she is a different character in-show, and therefore none of the development and experience Heather had in the episodes count anymore. While both of them had exactly one season at this point, I believe Betsy is here to stay, since she is designed by her, named after her, so unlike Heather, she is a more personal avatar.

Betsy already seems to be friends with Nelly, Nichole, Bebe, Red, and to a lesser extent, on friendly terms with Wendy (although I can imagine their strong personalities would clash at some point), I hope they decide to expand upon her character and make her a mainstay. And it seems like that's the intent. Especially after Trey's father's day cake had Betsy's face on it. My theory is that Heather was supposed to stay relevant, but they just chose the Betsy design after a trial year. So if nothing else would change in their real life, I think it's safe to assume we can count on Betsy returning.

My thoughts on the Wicked movie teaser trailer... so far.

Before you pop off in my replies and reblogs yes I know, this is just a teaser trailer and not the official tralier. Regardless that doesn't give this movie a magical critique pass. Most of my critques on this teaser come from my own thoughts and some of points raised in this post. This is also just me rambling into the void. Don't like don't read lmao.

If you've been following me for a while, then you already know my opinion on the Wicked movie and casting. Surprise surprise, you guessed it... I am extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. For so many reasons.

I'll start off with some things I like.

Johnathan Bailey is hot asf as Fiyero. (even if he looks way older than Fiyero is canonically meant to be)

The set and props. I think some of them actually look pretty neat. I'm glad they didn't use a green screen for Shiz and put in the effort to build a university campus. The train from Shiz to Oz looks kinda dope. I was always wondering what it would look like and I'll probably use that as inspiration for my fics and art comms.

Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard. I won't lie, I haven't seen a lot of movies with Jeff in them so I was cautious about his casting. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much his look and his performance so far actually fits Oscar. Time will tell if he can hold up to those standards.

I'm happy a WOC is playing Elphaba. Everyone complains about Fiyero not being racially book accurate but nobody talks enough about Elphaba being discriminated against as an amalgamation for rac!sm. More women of color should play her on stage.

THE NAILSSSS. Come on people this is the Wicked Witch of the West we're talking about she should be SERVING WITH THOSE CLAWS! Although personally I would've preferred them sharp but I'm over here with almond arylics what do I know lol.

I'm happy they casted a disabled actress to play Nessa. I always wondered why they never did that.

With that out of the way, let's get into a million reasons why I hated this trailer and why I'll most likely hate the movie anyways.

Arianna as Glinda. Look, I don't hate Ari. I like some of her songs and even bought some of her perfumes because I like smelling good. At worst I just don't care about her. However whenever I see Arianna as Glinda, I'm sorry I just don't see Glinda, I see ARIANNA GRANDE dressed in last minute cosplay for a Halloween party. I heard one line... ONE LINE from her and the delivery is NOTHING like Glinda's character or cadence, it's just Ari in drama class.

The wigs and costumes. What the hell was the makeup and hair crew thinking when they selected that wig for Arianna???? It's an ashy dull blonde that brings no color or life to the character. The #1 thing about Glinda is her vibrant blonde hair, it's even mentioned IN THE SONGS. MULTIPLE TIMES. This wig looks like a botched bleach job. Then, there's the costumes. Good lord what are those glasses on Elphaba's face??? I get they're trying to be all "whimsy" and "peculiar" in tone with WOZ, but they just look silly. Why not stick to the glasses in the musical? Why overdo it? I fear how the Emerald City sunglasses will look (if they even add those in) Also why are Glinda's clothes so dull? Where's the vibrance? Where's the pink frilly coquette contrast to Elphaba's dark coquette?

The camera work and Elphaba's entrance. This is Wicked the musical. I'm expecting a huge and grandiose presentation, especially when it comes to THE MAIN CHARACTER. Showing Elphaba from the back of her head in slow motion while she's walking to the entrance is just... boring and an overused cliche. Not to mention the underwhelming reactions from the extras. The cinematography is just meh. I'm expecting better for a fantasy film. It's been done before.

Cynthia as Elphaba. Listen, Cynthia is a great singer and talented actress. I have absolutely nothing against her. With that being said I'm going to be brutally honest: much like Arianna, she is not Elphaba... at least not entirely. Like Johnathan, Cynthia is way older than Elphaba is meant to be canonically and the editing team clearly used the de-aging filter on her to the point where it looks unnatural. If this movie had been made at least five years ago or earlier Cynthia would've fit perfectly.

Continuing my point with Cynthia: the singing. I'm sorry but what the hell was that riff with Defying Gravity??? I'm not entirely blaming Cynthia for this because this has become a massive problem with a lot of musical film adaptations which I like to call the popification of songs. It happens in nearly all the live-action Disney movies and I'm sick of it. What confuses me is STEPHEN FUCKING SCHWARTZ is involved in the musical production. He wrote the god damn songs, how the hell does he not direct Cynthia to sing the right note instead of letting her do whatever she wants??? I don't think he did that with Idina, which is why this riff is so iconic. Come on, if a tiktok meme trend can do that riff better and more accurately than an actual singer can, that's just embarrassing. I'm not good at explaining myself in terms of singing, so I'm hoping a youtuber I occassionally watch does a reaction video to the trailer and does a better job at explaining than I can.

The acting. Like I said with Arianna, the delivery is so bland and dry. I'm trying not to judge all of the acting on a teaser trailer but if this is how the leads are going to act throughout the whole movie then I'm disappointed.

Too much CGI in some parts. I get it. This is a fantasy movie there's bound to be certain effects you can't do practically. But that's no excuse when this is a $145 million dollar movie. The flying monkeys are so painfully obvious CGI. This was a wasted chance to get Doug Motherfucking Jones to play Chistery in prosthetics. So much of this movie ends up looking like those garbage Oz spinoffs. (If you know you know) The CGI is just bad. The bubble and Emerald City buildings look so cheap.

WHY IS THIS MOVIE SO DARK? This is suppossed to be OZ! Why do I have to turn up my brightness to look into the shadow realm???

Now onto some things I'm confused about.

Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible. I'm praying to god she'll blow us away because she's such a good actress and is serving c*nt in her costumes. I haven't heard her sing (I'm dumb but unless the opera song she sang in EEAAO was her then WOW!)

The silver slippers. I KNOW! I KNOW! The ruby slippers are copyrighted and can't be thrown in all nilly willy wherever you please. But keep in mind this is a 145 MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE ALL FOR PART ONE. Do not tell me they couldn't shill a few extra bucks on signing a few contracts. AND YES I KNOW. The musical uses the silver slippers in the first act in ode to the L. Frank Baum books which I love, but don't forget, they turn red when Elphaba enchants them to give Nessa the ability to walk. Dorothy shows up after Nessa is killed and has her shoes stolen. Why aren't they red now? Not to mention most of the audience might not know the original slippers in the books were silver. This would've been a great chance to combine two different canons.

Finally, why did John Chu absolutely insist on this being a two parter movie with a year long intermission? Is this shit show really that fantastical that it can be akin to Kill Bill part 1 and 2?

How'd you guys met? Well, of course in the imp city. When you assigned as an assassin on your first days or weeks if you didn't manage to catch with them by anything in that matter, he would comment or joke about one or thing about your weight.

Although, He would help you once or twice during the missions but he wouldn't do it without complaining about it.

BLITZO wouldn't think much about how you feel about his comments not until you guys started dating. (I can't think of anything about how did he manage to- he's a stubborn little bitch-)

But he's still clueless about your feelings about getting made fun of, he hates it when people mention about your appearance or weight though.

Once you opened up to him about it, he feels like an asshole (cause he is) and apologized.. in his own ways.

Your relationship with Blitzo changed him a bit about communicating only a little. You made him open up about his white spots too and the history why he got it.

In your private time, you guys mostly cuddled up and enjoying one's company. He likes the way how warm it is with you, Talking about something and he'll slip out a compliment about your appearance.

From now on, he would literally kill if someone made fun of your weight and appearance. He'll be soft with you just like he is with Loona, Moxxie,and Millie. Once you guys are alone he'll smother in kisses if you're still feeling down.

If you're insecure about eating,laughing,smiling in public. He'll make a joke or two just to make you laugh, removing the hands on your face as you laugh. He loves the smile you give him. For eating, if you take the food home he would accept it. If you cover your face while eating, he wouldn't remove your hand but instead just wipe your face if there's a mess.

If you have difficulty breathing from time to time, he'll help you in any way he can. He'll give you a minute or two just to take a break especially during a mission.

Whenever you have back pains, he'll actually try and massage you (which it didn't turn out great and so he buys you those pain patches instead) making you lay on his chest as you sleep. Especially when you have trouble sleeping or insomnia, he'll try to stay up late just to keep you company and if it was getting unhealthy.. he'll caress your temple or hum a song(don't expect to be great.)

Whenever you have those thigh problems he wouldn't hesitate to touch them for you, sometimes he would do it even if you didn't ask him to. Excusing it as helping you-

You would see him staring at you countless of times, once he was staring at you for too long to realize you were staring at him too. Later then you see him shake his head, blushing and shit

Overall, he wouldn't comment on your weight as much. Mostly positive and heartfelt one, he wants to make you that you know that he loves you.. wanting to make you love yourself too.

He would still be a stubborn bitch though, complaining but in private he'll be clingy and all over you.

i saw the mean girls movie yesterday and i have THOUGHTS. spoilers below the cut but general thoughts up here

1. is it objectively not a super great movie? yes

2. is it my new favorite movie? yes

3. will i defend this movie tooth and nail from people who don’t like it just bc it’s a musical or bc they’re a 2004 purist? YES

4. did this movie make me feel so many conflicting emotions back to back i have now had a tummyache for 24 hours? YESSS

5. will i ever, ever, EVER IN MY LIFE forgive tina fey for the ending? no.

these aren’t all in order and are most definitely not all the thoughts i had bc i have the memory storage of a flea and once an experience is over it is GONE FROM MY HEAD so this is the list of thoughts i struggled to put together when i got home lmao

overall thoughts:

it felt very gimmicky. the stage production felt gimmicky too but in a fun way, this was gimmicky in a way that kinda gave me a touch of the ick

it did not feel to me very much like a cohesive movie. it felt like browsing ig or tiktok and just seeing a hodgepodge of scenes stuck together. which is a cool idea but idk how well it worked in practice and i also don’t know if it was intentional.

this is not the word i’m looking for but in terms of personality they absolutely whitewashed all of the characters and i really don’t care for that. the visuals and the casting were so immaculate but in terms of personality they just made them all taste like unsweetened corn flakes.

i’m biased and didn’t care for most of the tweaks they made to the songs individually BUT i think they blended with each other more cohesively than they do in the stage production so that was cool. and i am able to understand why they made them more pop-esque than theatre-y it’s just not my personal vibe

it all felt very emma watson’s beauty and the beast. like. not deserving of much hate but also just not as good. it has its time and place but i still just. the changes they made were too much for me. that being said i am gonna be the #1 viewer whenever it’s released to streaming platforms was not kidding when i said this is a new favorite movie

the whole like. tiktok and iphone camera thing was an interesting??? idea. i really liked it for cautionary tale but the rest. i think it was a better idea than the way they executed it.

i miss do this thing!! i wish they had done like a mashup with it and the stupid with love reprise but i wasn’t mad at the reprise so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

gretchen again felt really reductive. she was all anxiety. not that gretchen isn’t that onstage but it just felt like that was her entire personality. but bebe was adorable and i loved what’s wrong with me she did a great job

avantika was DELIGHTFUL. i loved her so much more than i was expecting to she was the only one where i never had a moment like “i am watching people acting in a movie they are repeating written lines” it felt much more like fluid with her. 10/10 beautifully done to her

So, completely unrelated to TSAMS, there's this musical called Epic, right? Earth likes singing parts of it. Both me and Moongleam are big fans of it. Have been since the Thunder Saga, which yeah, pretty recent, but who cares? It's fun!

For those, who don't know what it's about, it's a retelling of the epic poem Odyssey, inspired by both video games and anime. And its songs are so catchy! Totally understand Earth why she sings it on occasion, because I do it too. So does Moongleam! I also listen to the musical whenever I travel somewhere, haha!

The problem is is that neither me or Moongleam can get the songs out of our heads (⊙▽⊙)''

Either of us will just be minding their own business, or even while playing together, and all of a sudden, and completely unintentionally, one of us starts singing - most often, than not in a silly voice, cause why not? It's fun! - and the other joins in, unable to stop themselves. And it's starting to get ridicuolus and a little bit annoying!

Like, shut up, brain! Let me be for five hecking minutes without singing one specific line from one of the songs! P l e a s e And that fandom is also full of so many talented artists. Like, dam.

Other than the really fun and catchy songs, I also love the musical, cause I adore mythology :}

This next part of the yap session will be all about Moongleam's oldest TSAMS fic (that is still very much in the work in progress phase, because it is a very complex AU, because in has so many things going on). I have permission to talk about it.

The fic's title is For You, and has been mentioned already once or twice by both me and Moongleam herself.

The very base of it is a canon divergence, fix-it AU involving certain shenanigans. Some of those shenanigans very much include interacting with other dimensions, helping them with something and in return asking for help aswell. Scratch my back, I scratch yours type. Kinda.

And because like 95% of the cast is called the same things (Sun, Moon, Eclipse ect.) we had to come up with code names/aliases/nicknames, which the characters also use to refer to one another, because otherwise it would be chaos/would take too much time to figure out who is who.

These codenames are what I wanna talk about now, because I find them greatly amusing. As I mentioned, the people have codenames, but so do their dimensions, to further help tell who is who. It also helps us with talking about certain characters, who do not have codenames yet, or places.

One of these dimensions I already mentioned in an old post, back in June, talking about how its situation is highly amusingly similar to that of the dimension in canon, which appeared in the video "A Place Where It NEVER HAPPENED!!! in VRChat". The major difference being with this dimension compared to the one in the video, is that Earth is there, and her codename is Meadow, her Sun and Moon being called Daffodil and Waterfall respectively. Their dimension's name is Touch Grass, because we thought it would be funny, and it fit with their nature inspired names.

Sometimes it's the people's codenames that we think of first, like in the case of Meadow and her family. But some times it's the dimension's name we get. Like in the case of a dimension called Ghostbusters.

Sometimes we only have the people's codenames to refer to them by, like in case of The Big Baby and his family, and other times it's the dimension's name we come up wwith first, like in the case of the Fugitives, wo are now quite an old dimension, yet STILL lack codenames, while other much newer ones already have everything.

Most often the dimension's name is related to its people's names, like in the case of The Field, where its inhabitants are called Scarecrow, Crop, Raven, Crow, Farmer, Farmhand, Lamb, Shepherd and Magpie.

Other times, the dimensions get their names based off of their inhabitants' personalities, like in the case of Don't KYS PLS and Please Don't Steal Our Children. Or based off of their people's situation, like Survival Horror with its lovely people Nomad, Hunter, Tamagotchi, Mirage, Patient 0 and The Virus, or the Why Do The Gods Hate You? dimension :)

Most often the codenames are short and easy, like Peanut Butter, Jelly and Grape, and other times it's a bit more complicated of a word, like in the case of Parhelion, Paraselene and Capo Dei Capi.

At the beginning we did try to give people codenames, that fit with what they are different in compared to the main dimension, like in the case of Glam and Rock, wo are glamrock versions of Sun and Moon, Judgement and Punishment, who are responsible for judging and punishing (who would'a thought) people. Or based off of their personality, like Mischief and Trickery. But nowadays it's mostly random things, that still go together, so the dimension is cohesive, like Connector, Outlet, Electricity, Wire and Transmitter.

But most often the random words are food or food related things, like in the case of the Jam (/Berry) Gang, who're all called Something-Something-berry (Mulberry for example, because i love them.), or in the case of Butter and Milkshake who both come from the Insert South Park Reference dimension.

Holy shit he's actually done. Sunray writes like a goddamned grandpa I swear to god. How can someone who grew up with computers write so slow? Yeah sure, my stuff is riddled with typos, but still. Need to work on that one my guy As to my day today, I embarrassed myself at 3 AM and then couldn't even fall asleep for an hour, and I also woke up at 6 AM, seein as what Sunray failed to mention from what I saw was how we were expecting a package. So yeah, all I'm sayin is Jackie and KC arrived! Otherwise I got reminded about what I fucking hate the most when one makes bread at home, went shopping and got handed a shopping list which's first item was orange the colour, so I had to figure out what in the fuck that mean, I bought my first pair of high heels ever which I can use to ruin even more of my joints, Fantasized about writing, had even more joking insults thrown at me because of my height, and I didn't even do any of the stuff I was supposed to. Procrastination is real great! And I just wanna clarify on the orange one, I mentioned a couple times and from my grammar being pretty shitty it's clear I ain't a native english speaker, you have no idea how surreal it is to just look at what you need to buy and see orange. Like what am I supposed to do? But don't get me wrong, my day was okay I'm just a professional complainer. I can't exist without it. It's like air to me. So yeah, I was chillin today and thinking about writing. Because I was occupied for almost the entirety of the day, so I couldn't sit down, and I ain't sure anythin that was quality could have come out of it anyway. I'm still not at 100%. Like I'll just finish this here, give Sunray back their post, then I may watch 1 video and fall asleep to some fps game. COD is surprisingly good as a lullaby. Also just to put it into perspective, Sunray started writing this a little over 18. It's currently half-past 21. By this point I was maybe writing for 5 minutes. I love this dude honestly. I'm so damn happy he exists. Today was just nice with some minor elements of amusement. One of which is my first ever fic idea being talked about up there. Didn't expect them to talk of it so openly even if it's okay by me. Wish I had the time and joints for all the fics I wanna write. Would be great. I'm not even that old, why are my joints already like this? I advise caution while reading my segment, which is a real banger to put at the end. I do apologise for it! Here is song #1 from the TTDP/The Anthology that remind me of something from OUAT!

Song #1: Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.

Now this song reminds me of 3 different characters from OUAT; Regina, Emma, and Henry.

All three of these characters I believe would not only love this song but would scream their lungs out whenever starts playing.

Here are the reasons why!

So, when I first heard this song, my first thought(like so many other people) was this song reminded them of Regina.

With lyrics such as, “If wanted me d, you should have just said it. Nothing makes me feel more alive” and “I was tame, I was gentle, till the circus life made me mean” and just the refrain of WAOLOM, who can blame them.

This song would not only be in Regina top 10 favorite songs by TS, but it would be the song that would cause her to lose her voice in The Eras Tour.

Although I do believe that this song reminds me most of Regina, it also reminds me of

Emma.

Overall, I believe that TTPD would be one of Emma’s favorite albums. To some extent, all of the songs from TTPD remind me of her.

For WAOLOM specifically, lyrics such as “Is a wonder I broke? Let’s hear one more joke” and “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me” reminds me of her. I just KNOW she would be screaming “where they raised me” line in her bug specifically.

Another lyric that reminds me of her is just “Who’s afraid of little old me? Well, you should be.” Just because it reminds me of her mind set with her magic in season 4 and her fear that she will hurt someone because of them. Especially since it is beyond clear that Emma was extremely powerful natural magic inside of her.

The last character that reminds me of this song is

Henry.

Especially when you sit down and realize how actually horrifying Henry’s childhood before the curse broke was, you understand it more.

Henry grow up in a town that didn’t age, except for him, and that repeated the same day over and over age, except for him again.

Henry knew something was wrong and whether or not or like Regina as Henry’s mom in the later seasons or not, she was a terrible parent to him in season 1.

She gaslighted him and the whole town into thinking he was crazy and that him realizing something was wrong was just a delusion, even though she knew Henry was right.

Lyrics such as “So tell me everything is not about me, but what if it is?” And once again, “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me” and “You caged me and then called me crazy.” Reminds me of Henry and how his early life was basically a psychological horror movie.

Overall, WAOLOM reminds me of a handful of characters from OUAT. Regina with the very direct message of the song, Emma with certain lyrics here and there, and Henry with his childhood before the curse broke.

Anyway, for the playlist reveal: Time - NF

This entire song is one I feel fits both of them perfectly because they both really just fucking need time. It's why they aren't in an established relationship yet, because neither of them are truly ready for it.

And this song is also one I feel represents their conflicts well, because at the end of the day, or night, or whenever their conflict is, they'll be okay.

They both have so many issues and so much trauma and it's horrible to see but the growth they go through is wonderful and so empowering and encouraging that they make it.

There are two specific pieces I think of, the first being:

This is both of them sometimes. And the other:

Two passionate people not afraid to say what they think Lead to passionate conversation when it's hard to agree

While Rinko's instinct is to run, there are times when she will fight, obviously. And with Gojo, when they fight, she doesn't back down. Because in a lot of cases, she knows she's right and she knows that he knows she's right.

But again, at the end of it all, they're going to be okay.

A note under the cut:

I've noticed a lot of comments about how we use fiction to escape reality and angst can really ruin that for us, and my sweet readers, I relate SO HARD. And that's one thing I try to keep in mind when I write it. I want it to be natural with the story, not feeling forced or out of place, but I also don't want to drag it out or cut it too short.

The trouble with angst is that it can make us, as the reader, feel the same emotions as the character because humans are naturally empathetic. And if you draw it out, that can be exhausting for the reader and they can end up feeling strung along or manipulated, meaning they are no longer interested in reading. But the flip side is that if you cut it off before a natural conclusion, it feels wrong. It feels hurried and unresolved and unfinished. And THAT my dear readers, is why I try really hard to make sure that, especially with Rinko and Gojo, the conclusion and resolution of any angst between them feels right and it feels like how they would really get through it.

Conflict is normal. It's natural to have disagreements as people because it genuinely isn't healthy to only be surrounded by people who always agree with you. Rinko and Gojo work so well together because they can disagree and still know that it doesn't change things about their friendship as a whole.

Rinko knows she can tell him if she thinks he's being stupid or she completely disagrees, and he knows the same for her.

I heard a marriage counselor once say that fighting can actually be a good sign because it's at least communicating in some way. As soon as you stop fighting and there's only silence, it's even harder to repair because that means that someone has given up on trying to repair or communicate anymore. Obviously, this isn't always the case, but it can be in some situations.

ANYWAY that's my rant. Thank you guys for reading and I'm grateful to everyone enjoying Another Level and Rinko and Gojo's story!

is that not the dream, having every cat? ours are siblings, both grey american shorthairs. they are mirai (our diva) and amuro (the one who likes to sit on faces).. funnily enough, their previous owners named them after the gundam characters, which is how i got into it! i was curious.... aww, that is quite sweet as well. ours mostly stay with my mom, but they always come to me when she is not around.

The delay was because. ah. I read the ‘ I like you an awful lot ‘ and got so excited I had to lay down and vibrate for a while, I cannot think of a better word for it. I do it when I get an overly positive emotion. this is very silly to admit. Perhaps I got flustered from such simple words but, who knows. I am sorry, I am aware of what the results are , I think? In all honesty, the role of relatability (for the characters in general or the feelings they have for other characters) plays a role in shipping, even though a lot of times it’s a subconscious thing. It’s not always the case, of course.

It depends on whether or not Epel knows the rules of the time travel and that even a minor change could affect the events of the future in a very drastic way; and knowing Epel, he probably doesn’t lol So I think it depends on whether he feels like being a little brat that day. He’d still get his ass kicked, though.

i saw the tv glow - my thoughts!

*warning* there are spoilers in this review

oh. my. god. i've actually been so obsessed with this film ever since i saw it! i saw it i believe may 5th? not too sure on that date, haha! either way, i've been obsessed.

so, basic summary: "A classmate introduces teenage Owen to a mysterious late-night TV show -- a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen's view of reality begins to crack." (pulled from google)

so, oh man. where to begin?! i'll start with the reason i wanted to watch this film, the soundtrack! i originally saw alex g was going to be on the soundtrack, so i was interested in watching. oh boy, the soundtrack definitely lived up to expectations! so many wonderful tunes, some recognizable and some new! i think my favorite track from the song was the one titled "Sunburned and Unkissed" by Caroline Polachek. Such a lovely song, i've been listening to it on repeat! literally as soon as my friend and i exited the theater, i searched for the soundtrack. every song was so fitting to the scenes they were part of. truly, i'm obsessed.

okay, besides the soundtrack, let's talk acting! the main characters in this film were Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine. both of them, in my opinion, did so well! i'm not going to lie, every time i see Justice Smith i end up thinking of detective pikachu, but that was so quickly forgotten as i got into the film itself. Brigette Lundy-Paine was also such an amazing actress, she played the role well, encompassing the awkward teenager while also playing into this darker role that we see later in the film.

according to the director, Jane Schoenbrun, the film is supposed to be a sort of look into the transgender experience, using the TV and other metaphors to help showcase it. as a queer person who falls under the trans umbrella, i thought the film did a beautiful job of doing this. it felt real, and raw. The director says themselves, "I was trying to make a work that could really feel authentic to how that really feels, rather than the kind of Hallmark card, Disney versions of transition that we see in Hollywood films written by cis people who are trying to capture something authentic but are trying to create a shallow version of representation on screen." I thought that was super important, as it's hard to find a real representation that feels real and is conveyed so beautifully. throughout, there were all these little moments that help you realize the meaning of the film, and it's almost like you're going through Owen's journey of self discovery with him. it's beautiful.

speaking of beautiful, the cinematography! oh my god! so so many beautiful scenes. the color schemes throughout were also so beautiful. seriously, the entire film i was so so intrigued. i honestly wish i knew more about cinematography so i could give a better review, but all i can say is that it was truly stunning, and a wonderful experience to watch throughout. a24 films are always so interesting in terms of cinematography, which i think they're pretty well known for. overall, was super pleased.

i think most a24 horror-themed films (from what i've seen), start off sort of slow and then bam! everything just blooms and it's so wonderfully executed.

okay, so i think i've rambled enough... overall i genuinely enjoyed this film so much and i'd love to watch it again whenever it's released on streaming sites. truly an experience, honestly a 10/10 film in my book! okay ramble over! tysm if you stuck around to this point <3

so besides all of the sadness i have a very strange question but i overthink everything 😭 so sorry abt that, but i was just wondering cause i know nico has changed lyrics in his songs vrs the ones that are the actual irl songs (haunted having the “cause in your ghost right now your house is haunted” lyric instead of the regular ones) (plz tell me i’m remembering right) and this is actually such a nieche thing to think about but my question is because so many songs use the pet name “baby” in them and nico doesn’t seem like the type to use that (do they even have any nicknames for each other in tyt?) so. would he. a somehow just avoid it. b. use a different pet name c. i need to stop overthinking things because the original lyrics don’t all adhere to his songs. d. a secret fourth thing???

HSJSJ im so glad you liked it bc it was an absolute horror to write!! yk sometimes you’ve got those scenes that you know have to happen, and they have to be written *perfectly* and so then you just stare at the doc for hours trying to figure out how the characters work

but on to the question! oh god. this is hard. see the thing is: i think it WOULD be in character for nico to say baby. i think he also says tesoro like in canon, and definitely sunshine, and maybe darling?

the thing is. i, personally, as a person, have a visceral HATRED of the word. and of pet names/nicknames in general. i don’t mind it in music, but whenever i try and write it into the fic, i just cringe and automatically backspace (this has absolutely nothing to do with people who actually use it as a term of endearment i just don’t know how to write it in without it sounding incredibly awkward or out of character)

so honestly, though, i think that nico is chill abt using it in a song, bc i feel like music honestly uses it more as filler? like, if you need to add a persons name, you’re obviously not gonna say their name (unless the song is hey stephen) so they just add in a pet name - most commonly baby

and i don’t think nico would have anything against that - id probably have to look through the playlists to see just how many times songs use the word, but i don’t think it’s that often

anyway my answer is that yes nico uses the word, i think that will started calling him babe at some point and nico just started using baby too but it’s much more rare and likely when he’s very tired/trying to convince will to do something (such as not work)

i think he prefers using something like darling in his songs (or maybe i’ve just been listening to too much hozier but that’s neither here nor there) but he doesn’t stray away from using the word if it fits well

and he probably uses more terms of endearment in real life than i’ve included (though will def uses them more often, and nico probably refrains from using pet names in front of other ppl) but i just hate writing them so much im sorry😭😭😭😭 i CANT i swear i tried to include a babe at some point in talk your talk and a sunshine but like the only thing slightly close to that that i ever left in a final draft was neeks. i can’t write pet names unless they’re said in a sarcastic or insulting mannerHSJDJ

OKAY. I will start with rehearsal shenanigans because there have been very many, and I want the world to know how chaotic and wonderful my cast is.

So I'm playing a Race who utterly resents Davey for the whole first act of the show, which has translated into a running joke where I, acting as Race, will deadpan snark Davey's actress at any given opportunity. My favorite moment of this so far was last week when we were running Seize the Day and she tried to throw an arm over my shoulder, at which point I shoved her off and glared. It took a moment before she goes "NO this is Act One! Nooooo :( " Earlier in rehearsals she was chilling on the ground and asked me to help her up when blocking started again. I crouched down like I was going to, then said "No. Suffer." and walked away, (It's all good fun, she and I are good friends!).

Scab 3's line has been changed so she says "heck" instead of "hell." The change for this was quite dramatic, since she had already learned her line and she was SO excited to swear onstage xD The director apologized and told her "we don't want to upset any grandmas in the audience." Scab 3 replies to this with "But /my/ grandma won't care!" Just so devastated xD

Less of a problem now, but in Act One Jack kept saying everyone else's lines but forgetting his own, which caused a lot of confusion and a lot of teasing.

Finch's actress had trouble getting the timing for "HEY What's the hold up?" In Carrying the Banner for the first half of rehearsal and when she finally got it right she screamed the line so loudly that she scared Splasher's actress and made her jump a good foot to the side.

Speaking of CtB, Elmer manages to hurt himself every time we run that song. The kid has so much energy and the blocking has him flinging himself down on the "And DEAD" line and he commits too hard xD

Also in CtB I managed to smack Jack in the face during one of our first runs of the dance and we both started laughing so hard we couldn't finish the song ^^'' CtB is dangerous in our show xD

Splasher as a character is selectively mute and goes nonverbal in high stress situations. Splasher's actress, meanwhile, is the one who gets us yelled at for talking when the director/music director/choreographer are trying to give us instructions. I look forward to seeing if she can really stay quiet during the show ^^'' (I love her dearly, but she's got a motormouth)

One guy is double cast as Morris and Spot. His quick change time is *insane* and we all have to make a path backstage as he books it to his spot for Brooklyn's Here.

Also Race abandons Crutchie to Snyder at the end of Act 1 :3 We told his mom (who is play Jacobi) about that and her response was "People will have FEELINGS about that." kind of warning, but we were just like "Yes. That is the point. >:3" She's one of the only people who actually knows though - Crutchie's actor and I have been planning in secret. We even had a private powwow behind the theatre to finalize things last week and we both glared when a parent came around the back. She very slowly backed away xD

Whenever Finch's actress is asked why her character's nickname is Finch she spouts the most disturbing, concerning story she can think of. It is never the same story twice. We have now incorporated that into her character so her morbid weirdness is now canon to our Finch.

Also Pulitzer (stage) punched Jack in the face a good eight times at rehearsal last week, so that was fun ^^

And I think that's a good spot to end! There's lots more, and of course a ton of lore (I haven't even mentioned Tommy Boy or the Tommy Boy Defense Squad) but it is late and I'm gonna go to bed~

first off: LOVE race n davey having a complicated dynamic marked by race’s resentment. he’s so biting and mean to davey in uksies and it’s fantastic, and the fake-out with the helping up is SUCH a race move. i can just picture davey grumbling as he clambers up by himself, race walking away all the while.

scab 3 is so valid! (#letscab3sayhell) but honestly i think i like the line as “what the heck” even better - it sounds more childish, and they are just kids!

finch scaring splasher is SO cute (and something to be more expected of someone like albert). elmer getting so excited he injures himself, however, is deeply on-brand - as is race hitting jack in the face and then laughing about it. that’s real brother vibes right there

!!! selectively mute splasher my beloved!! that’s such a good idea, and the actress struggling because she talks a lot is so sweet 😭 i have full faith in her pulling it off! channel the splasher! (imagine finch is gonna come scare her again if she talks)

a morris/spot double cast is WILD, i love it - the gap between him n oscar dragging jack to the basement and then brooklyn’s here is so slim!! that is a QUICK change. incredibly funny to imagine being mowed down in a hallway by morris delancey changing into spot conlon for a song though

also crutchie’s mum was RIGHT, i have MANY FEELINGS about race abandoning crutchie

lying about the origins of the nickname does feel very finch. i can see him straight-facing “oh, i ate a bird. i’unno if it was really a finch, though.”

honestly this isn’t as much to do with her as a character as it is to do with the people who’ve played her but she has done so much for my self esteem in a really roundabout way. as someone with dark brown eyes and frizzy kinda untamable brown hair reading fic about her helped me appreciate more things about myself.

if you struggle with self image i really cannot recommend highly enough finding a character who looks and acts like you and reading stories where someone is absolutely, irrevocably in love with them. whether that’s platonically or romantically. i know it’s weird but being able to look in the mirror or at some aspect of my personality that i don’t like and say “that’s still lovable” is WONDERFUL.
