Met Gala 2023 Presented By Me
With this year's theme being "in honor of Karl Lagerfeld", a fashion designer whom I'm learning from the fashion community is "ew", lets see what we got:
~The Models~
-Rihanna being fashionably late, wearing an egg?-like top that opens to reveal a simple yet beautiful dress (she's got a baby bump!); the "no shit" was iconic honestly
-Jared Leto fursuit (its cause he was dressing as Lagerfeld's cat)
-Harvey Guillen coming through with a lovely floral suit, I'm not usually one for light pink but his was very pretty
-Who let Lil Nas X have access to the arts and crafts box (but he looked stunning, the mask was gorgeous and he's got more confidence than most to pull off what I'm now calling a Full Bedazzle)
-Kristen Stewart going full butch queer, the eyebrows and hair were rugged inspired and most didn't like it but I think that was the point?
-Pedro Pascal and his knee against the world (as well as spreading the red is superior agenda cause it is)
-^ but with Salma Hayek cause holy shit this is the red agenda
-Bryan Tyree Henry continuing to remind me how much my taste in men has improved over the years because he is so fucking fine ANYWAY-
-Lizzo giving me feminine gender envy despite the odds
-Janelle Monae doing a Janelle Monae as is customary (I'd love to know what the inspo was for her if so let me know!)
-Bella Ramsey you are so gender thank you (and they served too, the Thom Browne suit with the white accents is simple yet very classy)
-Every year I give one (1) free pass for a man to wear a standard suit, this year goes to Ke Huy Quan because I couldn't say anything bad about him if I tried (at least he had some style, the fingerless gloves were cool)
-Obligatory Gwendoline Christie was there and existed comment by me because I am in love and I am not ashamed of it
-Florence Pugh's fit had mixed reactions, the shaved head, headdress and white dress look were really good but I think the way the dress came out had people not fully digging it, I can understand but I'll appreciate it nonetheless
-Anne Hathaway in all her fuzzy glory (the hair's a beehive on a very felted dress but like it worked? marks for originality and being able to pull it off)
-Loved Stephanie Hsu's bedazzled suit, won't be able to stop thinking about it actually
-Tems was stunning, I'm a huge fan of the floating leaves design we need more nature-inspired looks
-Olivier Rousteing and Jeremy pope slaying with their "Karl who?" and cape apparel
-Gotta shout out Yara Shahidi for going with something unique, the pearl's color palette works surprisingly better than I expected with the gold (personally I would have more gold trim in the top half but that's just me)
-Let Lady Gaga's outfit for the Met Gala this year be a lesson in misinformation because the pictures circulating Tumblr are not in fact from the 2023 Met, she didn't attend (it is a stunning outfit though)
-Jenna Ortega looking almost like a dapper pirate in the absolute best way possible the gender envy the style I am going insane
-Doja Cat living up to her name (Cats should take notes honestly the makeup was really good. She also kept answering reporter questions by meowing. Because she's Doja. Anyway.)
-Anok Yai's dress reminds me of those ornate beaded lampshades, I wonder if that's where she/her designer got the idea
-Emily Blunt giving me gay panic once again WHY IS SHE SO GORGEOUS (she's got a giant fucking bow tie that's what clowns wear why is she able to pull it off this is so unfair)
-Conan Gray looked like an actual prince I am obsessed
-I saw someone said Cardi B was giving goth Barbie and that is honestly the best way to describe it
-Yung Miami having a beautiful look cause her outfit was underrated this year
-I thought Emily Blunt and Bryan Tyree Henry were all I had to worry about and then Julia Garner came in with a steel chair
-Ella Fanning's look captivating me specifically
-And cause I can't comment on every person or we'd be here all day, go check out the underrated outfits from Amanda Seyfried, Alton Mason, Glenn Close, Sora Choi, Ava Max, Jessica Chastain, Taika Waititi and many more!
~Final Thoughts~
-The palette this year was very black and white... literally. Lots of outfits in black, white, or both. I'm not really into the fashion community so I wouldn't know but I'm guessing its a signature theme of Lagerfeld's? Let me know! I'm always down to learn more about other communities and their history
-I'm also assuming Lagefeld's got a thing for flowers cause there were a lot of flowers imbedded into the outfits, they looked lovely~
-As well as long flowy dress/coat tops cause there were a lot, and I loved how people mixed it in with the flowers. Lots of the men did it this year and it looked fantastic
-Speaking of, I'm proud of the men for actually dressing up this year omfg its insane how many male celebrities will go to a literal fashion event and pull up with nothing but a plain ass suit and though most of them this year did wear suits, there was much pizazz. Like, actual life put into those outfits. So yeah, you love to see it
-Overall, a very nice Met Gala. The crazy stuff came from the usual people who go all out, and we got plenty of highlights from people who embraced the theme, with the occasional unique look to really stick it out
Thank for reading and see you all next fashion event!

Rammstein rant post ready GO!
I know like nothing about them but I love hearing about people’s interests info dump to your heart’s content my friend! Teach me all about these concerningly sweaty dirty (?) men and their pyrotechnic shenanigans I am sitting here with my favorite pen and notepad ready to take notes. <3
anon. I love you so much. thank you for enabling my insanity. this is gonna be a long, unhinged post
Okay, here we go. My darling anon, I had to HUNT in my blog archive to find this post, but here is my basic rundown of Rammstein itself as a band (<-linked). So come back here after reading that post if you really don't know anything about the band bc this def won't make any sense. In THIS post I'd love to discuss WHY I'm so obsessed R+ and all the things that I personally love about them. I will format it in bullet points to spare myself and everyone's sanity:
I feel like the most obvious point should be the first; I love their music! I grew up on industrial and synth, so introducing metal to that mix is like a heavenly mashup. The heavy guitar, the synth keyboard, the gorgeous vocals and deep (often complicated) lyrics??? I would insert the music directly into my chest cavity if I could and that sounds really fucking weird but that's where I feel like it should live 🧍🏻‍♀️
I have daddy issues point blank, that much is obvious from my blog LMAOOO so ofc latching onto gruff middle aged men is a fundamental human need for me at this point
The style and uniqueness of the band is incredible. Who else do you know that lights everything on fire while looking like they just walked off a movie set? Their outfits are so fucking awesome. Like every time I see a new fit I eat that shit up and stare at pics for hours on end because they're so intricate and cool and kinda kinky?? I WISH I could be their fashion designer like jfc. Also their makeup/ face paint is always killer. I need to kiss their stylists fr !!! The 90's-y2k looks are some of my favs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the history of the band is also very interesting. a bunch of weird dudes from East Germany end up becoming pals and form a band and rise to stardom while soldiering through the trials and tribulations such fame throws their way? love an underdog story. I highly recommend watching the documentary Rammstein in Amerika, it gives a lot of insight into the band's origins and history up through 2015
Some of the shit they pull is so freaky and weird that its camp at this point. The dick mold dildos? camp. The fact that they need licenses to use all their pyrotechnics? camp. Being arrested for public indecency? camp.
I am incredibly, overwhelmingly, unhingedly down bad for Till, Richard, and Paul (and also Schneider to an extent but not as much). I would allow for unspeakable things to be done to me if given even the slightest opportunity if you know what I'm saying
PAUL'S HAIR !!!! He is so silly goofy but I fucking LOVE Paul's stupid little haircuts. like yass go off with your little monk bowl cuts I'm eating it up I'm putting you in my pocket
(the photo of his red hair isn't even showing the back where he LITERALLY shaved it like the fuckin monk tonsure)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
everyone is so fucking queer. like. deadass. Paul and Richard regularly kissing on stage is so precious ???? they're just two besties being besties kissing n shit. The band also supports the lgbtq+ community and are outspokenly against bigotry which is always a win. A lot of people have accused them of being bigots themselves and they're like ummm haha no get fucked (cue "Links 2 3 4")
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Richard is a perfect little baby angel and I would die for him. I love his spiky hair. I love his nail polish; I paint my nails like him. He is so cute. I love the way he speaks, in German and in English. I also LOVE his band Emigrate, esp the most recent album. He's so awesome 😭 that being said I wish he wouldn't smoke like a chimney because I dread hearing the news one day that he has cancer but ofc I can't do anything about that in the slightest
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean. do I need to make a bullet point dedicated to Till being built like a fucking brick house?? because I think I do. He is soooo,,, AUAUGHHHHH !!!! Like, the guy is 60 and still looks that incredibly built ?!!!!! homeboy was an olympic swimmer he can swim in my p *gets shot*
Till has a precious smile 🥺 I love his fucked up teeth. he's such a sweetie fr, a big scary looking teddy bear. I need him fr
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flake in his entirety is just so silly goofy. Like homeboy looks like just Some Dude.. he's so normal (he also looks like my step grandfather only tall and skinny, which is very strange...). But then he pulls shit like whacking Till with a keyboard or getting fake fucked on stage. Homeboy also apparently just up and ditched everyone in America and went home after 9/11 because he was so freaked, which in itself isn't funny but imagining him just fucking leaving is a little bit...
Darling little (not so little...) Doom Schneider has an incredibly gorgeous side profile. And I love the pornstache he occasionally sports. He's also another one who is just like. A Normal Guy in my head. He is also very very pretty and very well spoken. I loved listening to him talk during the Rammstein in Amerika documentary
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also think Ollie is also just a Dude,, tho admittedly I don't really even think about him much because he is so normal and not unhinged that he kinda just blends into the background most times. He is 6'7 tho so that is fucking insane
Anyway yep that's all for now I'll stop torturing everyone with my depraved insanity 👍🏻 THANK YOU AGAIN ANON for indulging me for a moment

obimaul fake dating ficlet, requested by @crimsonrainseekingflower 🥰
“Betrothed, actually,” Obi-Wan clarified, as if that changed anything. “The agreement between our families was finalized just the other day. We wanted to take some time to ourselves before the wedding preparations began in earnest.” Then he laughed, as if letting their guide in on a private joke.
No one was supposed to know they were two Jedi on a mission – what better way than to feign a happy, soon-to-be-married couple? It made sense. They were on some sort of luxury cruise, and two random bachelors with lightsabers just wouldn't cut it.
Maul hated every second of it. Obi-Wan’s smooth confidence was effortless, and the way his hand cupped casually around Maul’s own waist felt as natural as anything. It burned, in a way, and he wished his obnoxious friend would just…tone it down, a bit.
“Isn’t that right, dear?” Obi-Wan prompted, squeezing him gently. The burn intensified. They would really be acting like this for – days? Weeks? However long it took them to complete their mission? He would go insane if this kept up for another hour!
But if Obi-Wan thought he would win at being the most convincing, he was dead wrong.
“Of course, love,” Maul said, and then with a sly grin, he ran his hand under Obi-Wan’s chin – and definitely did not feel a shiver of satisfaction at the sudden look of surprise in his friend’s eyes. “Though we might retire to our room for a bit before the festivities. Your beard could use a little trim.”
“Is that all?” Obi-Wan said, his voice a little shaky. “I thought you liked it.”
“Oh, I do,” Maul smiled, showing his teeth. “But it hides all my love bites.”
Their guide scampered off as soon as they’d been shown to their room.
Obi-Wan was quick to turn off the charm once they were out of view. “Are you serious?” he snapped. “Love bites?”
“I was just going along with you,” Maul said, heat warming his face. “What’s the problem?”
“If you go around talking about giving me love bites,” the words sounded strained, “what happens if we go outside and I don’t have any?”
“Who’s going to be paying attention to that kind of thing?” Maul asked, the heat beginning to spread.
Obi-Wan glared at him – but there was something else to it, Maul sensed. Something that Obi-Wan didn't want him to see.
Something that Maul himself didn’t want Obi-Wan seeing, either.
“Who’s to say someone won't be paying attention?” he snapped back. “We’ve got to look the part.”
“So…” Maul swallowed heavily against the warmth that threatened to choke him. “You think I should…”
Obi-Wan got out his shaving kit and made a strange, unreadable face. “Before I shave, or after?”
Maul’s mouth went dry.
“Both?” he suggested, hopefully not sounding hopeful.
Obi-Wan paused for a second, then nodded. “Both,” he said. “Both is good.”

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.Ooh, black and yellow!Let's shake it up a little.Barry! Breakfast is ready!Coming!Hang on a second.Hello?Barry?Adam? Can you believe this is happening?I can't.I'll pick you up.Looking sharp.Use the stairs, Your father paid good money for those.Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son.A perfect report card, all B's.Very proud.Ma! I got a thing going here. You got lint on your fuzz.Ow! That's me!Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000.Bye!Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house!Hey, Adam.Hey, Barry. Is that fuzz gel?A little. Special day, graduation.Never thought I'd make it.Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward.Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around The Hive. You did come back different.Hi, Barry. Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.Hear about Frankie?Yeah. You going to the funeral? No, I'm not going.Everybody knows, sting someone, you die.Don't waste it on a squirrel.Such a hothead.I guess he could have just gotten out of the way.I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations.Boy, quite a bit of pomp under the circumstances.Well, Adam, today we are men.We are!Bee-men.Amen!Hallelujah!Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell.Welcome, New Hive City graduating class of 9:15.That concludes our ceremonies And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick our job today?I heard it's just orientation.Heads up! Here we go.Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times.Wonder what it'll be like?A little scary.Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco and a part of the Hexagon Group. This is it!Wow.Wow.We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life to get to the point where you can work for your whole life.Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to The Hive. Our top-secret formula is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured into this soothing sweet syrup with its distinctive golden glow you know as... Honey! That girl was hot. She's my cousin! She is?Yes, we're all cousins.Right. You're right. At Honex, we constantly strive to improve every aspect of bee existence. These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology. What do you think he makes? Not enough. Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman. What does that do?Catches that little strand of honey that hangs after you pour it.Saves us millions. Can anyone work on the Krelman?Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot.But choose carefully because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try.Wow! That blew my mind!"What's the difference?"How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make.I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here?Like what? Give me one example.I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach.Wait a second. Check it out.Hey, those are Pollen Jocks!Wow.I've never seen them this close. They know what it's like outside The Hive.Yeah, but some don't come back.Hey, Jocks!Hi, Jocks! You guys did great! You're monsters! You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it!I wonder where they were.I don't know.Their day's not planned.Outside The Hive, flying who knows where, doing who knows what. You
can't just decide to be a Pollen Jock. You have to be bred for that.Right.Look. That's more pollen than you and I will see in a lifetime. It's just a status symbol.Bees make too much of it.Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it and the ladies see you wearing it.Those ladies?Aren't they our cousins too?Distant. Distant.Look at these two.Couple of Hive Harrys.Let's have fun with them.It must be dangerous being a Pollen Jock.Yeah. Once a bear pinned me against a mushroom! He had a paw on my throat, and with the other, he was slapping me!Oh, my!I never thought I'd knock him out. What were you doing during this?Trying to alert the authorities.I can autograph that.A little gusty out there today, wasn't it, comrades?Yeah. Gusty. We're hitting a sunflower patch six miles from here tomorrow.Six miles, huh?Barry!A puddle jump for us, but maybe you're not up for it.Maybe I am.You are not! We're going 0900 at J-Gate.What do you think, buzzy-boy?Are you bee enough?I might be. It all depends on what 0900 means.Hey, Honex!Dad, you surprised me.You decide what you're interested in?Well, there's a lot of choices. But you only get one.Do you ever get bored doing the same job every day?Son, let me tell you about stirring. You grab that stick, and you just move it around, and you stir it around. You get yourself into a rhythm. It's a beautiful thing. You know, Dad, the more I think about it,maybe the honey field just isn't right for me.You were thinking of what, making balloon animals? That's a bad job for a guy with a stinger.Janet, your son's not sure he wants to go into honey!Barry, you are so funny sometimes.I'm not trying to be funny. You're not funny! You're going into honey. Our son, the stirrer! You're gonna be a stirrer? No one's listening to me!Wait till you see the sticks I have.I could say anything right now.I'm gonna get an ant tattoo!Let's open some honey and celebrate!Maybe I'll pierce my thorax. Shave my antennae. Shack up with a grasshopper. Get a gold tooth and call everybody "dawg"!I'm so proud. We're starting work today!Today's the day.Come on! All the good jobs will be gone.Yeah, right.Pollen counting, stunt bee, pouring, stirrer, front desk, hair removal...Is it still available?Hang on. Two left! One of them's yours! Congratulations!Step to the side. What'd you get?Picking crud out. Stellar!Wow!Couple of newbies?Yes, sir! Our first day! We are ready!Make your choice. You want to go first? No, you go.Oh, my. What's available?Restroom attendant's open, not for the reason you think.Any chance of getting the Krelman?Sure, you're on.I'm sorry, the Krelman just closed out.Wax monkey's always open. The Krelman opened up again. What happened?A bee died. Makes an opening. See? He's dead. Another dead one.Deady. Deadified. Two more dead.Dead from the neck up. Dead from the neck down. That's life!Oh, this is so hard!Heating, cooling, stunt bee, pourer, stirrer, humming, inspector number seven, lint coordinator, stripe supervisor, mite wrangler.Barry, what do you think I should... Barry?Barry! All right, we've got the sunflower patch in quadrant nine...What happened to you?Where are you?I'm going out.Out? Out where?Out there.Oh, no!I have to, before I go to work for the rest of my life. You're gonna die! You're crazy! Hello?Another call coming in.If anyone's feeling brave, there's a Korean deli on 83rd that gets their roses today.Hey, guys.Look at that.Isn't that the kid we saw yesterday?Hold it, son, flight deck's restricted. It's OK, Lou. We're gonna take him up.Really? Feeling lucky, are you?Sign here, here. Just initial that.Thank you.OK.You got a rain advisory today, and as you all know, bees cannot fly in rain.So be careful. As always, watch your brooms, hockey sticks, dogs, birds, bears and bats. Also, I got a couple of reports of root beer being poured on us.Murphy's in a home because of it, babbling like a cicada! That's awful. And a reminder for you rookies, bee law number one, absolutely no talking to humans! Bringing it around.Stand to the side, kid. It's got a bit of a kick. That is one nectar collector!Ever see pollination up close? No, sir.I pick up some pollen here, sprinkle it over here. Maybe a dash over there, a pinch on that one.See that? It's a little bit of magic. That's amazing. Why do we do that? That's pollen power. More pollen, more flowers, more nectar, more honey for us.Cool.I'm picking up a lot of bright yellow, Could be daisies, Don't we need those?Copy that visual.Wait. One of these flowers seems to be on the move.Say again? You're reporting a moving flower?Affirmative. That was on the line! This is the coolest. What is it?I don't know, but I'm loving this color. It smells good. Not like a flower, but I like it.Yeah, fuzzy.Chemical-y.Careful, guys. It's a little grabby. My sweet lord of bees!Candy-brain, get off there!Problem!Guys! This could be bad.Affirmative.Very close.Gonna hurt.Mama's little boy.You are way out of position, rookie!Coming in at you like a missile!Help me!I don't think these are flowers.Should we tell him?I think he knows. What is this?!Match point! You can start packing up, honey, because you're about to eat it!Yowser!Gross. There's a bee in the car!Do something!I'm driving!Hi, bee. He's back here! He's going to sting me!Nobody move. If you don't move, he won't sting you. Freeze! He blinked!Spray him, Granny! What are you doing?!Wow... the tension level out here is unbelievable.I gotta get home. Can't fly in rain. Can't fly in rain. Can't fly in rain.Mayday! Mayday! Bee going down!Ken, could you close the window please?Ken, could you close the window please?Check out my new resume. I made it into a fold-out brochure. You see? Folds out.Oh, no. More humans. I don't need this. What was that?Maybe this time. This time. This time. This time! This time! This... Drapes! That is diabolical. It's fantastic. It's got all my special skills, even my top-ten favorite movies. What's number one? Star Wars?Nah, I don't go for that... kind of stuff. No wonder we shouldn't talk to them. They're out of their minds. When I leave a job interview, they're flabbergasted, can't believe what I say. There's the sun. Maybe that's a way out.I don't remember the sun having a big 75 on it.I predicted global warming. I could feel it getting hotter. At first I thought it was just me.Wait! Stop! Bee!Stand back. These are winter boots.Wait!Don't kill him!You know I'm allergic to them! This thing could kill me!Why does his life have less value than yours? Why does his life have any less value than mine? Is that your statement?I'm just saying all life has value. You don't know what he's capable of feeling. My brochure! There you go, little guy.I'm not scared of him. It's an allergic thing. Put that on your resume brochure. My whole face could puff up.Make it one of your special skills.Knocking someone out is also a special skill.Right. Bye, Vanessa. Thanks.Vanessa, next week? Yogurt night?Sure, Ken. You know, whatever. You could put carob chips on there.Bye.Supposed to be less calories.Bye.I gotta say something. She saved my life. I gotta say something. All right, here it goes.Nah.What would I say?I could really get in trouble. It's a bee law. You're not supposed to talk to a human.I can't believe I'm doing this. I've got to.Oh, I can't do it. Come on!No. Yes. No. Do it. I can't.How should I start it? "You like jazz?" No, that's no good. Here she comes! Speak, you fool!Hi!I'm sorry. You're talking.Yes, I know. You're talking!I'm so sorry. No, it's OK. It's fine.I know I'm dreaming. But I don't recall going to bed.Well, I'm sure this is very disconcerting. This is a bit of a surprise to me. I mean, you're a bee!I am. And
I'm not supposed to be doing this, but they were all trying to kill me.And if it wasn't for you... I had to thank you. It's just how I was raised. That was a little weird. I'm talking with a bee.Yeah.I'm talking to a bee. And the bee is talking to me!I just want to say I'm grateful.I'll leave now.Wait! How did you learn to do that? What? The talking thing.Same way you did, I guess. "Mama, Dada, honey." You pick it up.That's very funny.Yeah.Bees are funny. If we didn't laugh, we'd cry with what we have to deal with.Anyway... Can I... get you something?Like what?I don't know. I mean... I don't know. Coffee?I don't want to put you out. It's no trouble. It takes two minutes. It's just coffee.I hate to impose.Don't be ridiculous!Actually, I would love a cup.Hey, you want rum cake?I shouldn't.Have some. No, I can't.Come on!I'm trying to lose a couple micrograms.Where? These stripes don't help. You look great!I don't know if you know anything about fashion. Are you all right? No.He's making the tie in the cab as they're flying up Madison. He finally gets there. He runs up the steps into the church. The wedding is on.And he says, "Watermelon?I thought you said Guatemalan. Why would I marry a watermelon?"Is that a bee joke? That's the kind of stuff we do.Yeah, different. So, what are you gonna do, Barry?About work? I don't know.I want to do my part for The Hive, but I can't do it the way they want.I know how you feel. You do?Sure. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer or a doctor, but I wanted to be a florist.Really? My only interest is flowers. Our new queen was just elected with that same campaign slogan.Anyway, if you look... There's my hive right there. See it?You're in Sheep Meadow!Yes! I'm right off the Turtle Pond!No way! I know that area. I lost a toe ring there once. Why do girls put rings on their toes? Why not? It's like putting a hat on your knee.Maybe I'll try that. You all right, ma'am?Oh, yeah. Fine.Just having two cups of coffee!Anyway, this has been great. Thanks for the coffee.Yeah, it's no trouble.Sorry I couldn't finish it. If I did, I'd be up the rest of my life. Are you...?Can I take a piece of this with me?Sure! Here, have a crumb.Thanks!Yeah.All right. Well, then... I guess I'll see you around. Or not.OK, Barry. And thank you so much again... for before.Oh, that? That was nothing.Well, not nothing, but... Anyway...This can't possibly work. He's all set to go.We may as well try it.OK, Dave, pull the chute.Sounds amazing. It was amazing! It was the scariest, happiest moment of my life.Humans! I can't believe you were with humans!Giant, scary humans! What were they like?Huge and crazy. They talk crazy. They eat crazy giant things. They drive crazy.Do they try and kill you, like on TV?Some of them. But some of them don't.How'd you get back?Poodle. You did it, and I'm glad. You saw whatever you wanted to see.You had your "experience." Now you can pick out yourjob and be normal.Well...Well?Well, I met someone. You did? Was she Bee-ish?A wasp?! Every mosquito on his own. What if you get in trouble? You a mosquito, you in trouble. Nobody likes us. They just smack. See a mosquito, smack, smack! At least you're out in the world. You must meet girls.Mosquito girls try to trade up, get with a moth, dragonfly. Mosquito girl don't want no mosquito. You got to be kidding me!Mooseblood's about to leave the building! So long, bee!Hey, guys!Mooseblood!I knew I'd catch y'all down here.Did you bring your crazy straw? We throw it in jars, slap a label on it, and it's pretty much pure profit. What is this place?A bee's got a brain the size of a pinhead. They are pinheads!Pinhead.Check out the new smoker.Oh, sweet. That's the one you want. The Thomas 3000!Smoker?Ninety puffs a minute, semi-automatic. Twice the nicotine, all the tar. I intend to do something.Oh, Barry, stop.Who told you humans are taking our honey? That's a rumor.Do these look like rumors? That's a conspiracy theory. These are obviously doctored photos. How did you get mixed up in this? He's been talking to humans. What? Talking to humans?!He has a human girlfriend. And they make out!Make out? Barry! We do not.You wish you could.Whose side are you on?The bees!I dated a cricket once in San Antonio. Those crazy legs kept me up all night.Barry, this is what you want to do with your life?I want to do it for all our lives. Nobody works harder than bees!Dad, I remember you coming home so overworkedyour hands were still stirring. You couldn't stop.I remember that. What right do they have to our honey? We live on two cups a year. They put it in lip balm for no reason whatsoever!Even if it's true, what can one bee do?Sting them where it really hurts. In the face! The eye! That would hurt.No.Up the nose? That's a killer. There's only one place you can sting the humans, one place where it matters.Hive at Five, The Hive's only full-hour action news source. No more bee beards! With Bob Bumble at the anchor desk. Weather with Storm Stinger. Sports with Buzz Larvi. And Jeanette Chung.Good evening. I'm Bob Bumble. And I'm Jeanette Ohung.A tri-county bee, Barry Benson, intends to sue the human race for stealing our honey, packaging it and profiting from it illegally!Tomorrow night on Bee Larry King, we'll have three former queens here in our studio, discussing their new book, classy Ladies, out this week on Hexagon.Tonight we're talking to Barry Benson.Did you ever think, "I'm a kid from The Hive. I can't do this"?Bees have never been afraid to change the world. What about Bee Oolumbus? Bee Gandhi? Bejesus?Where I'm from, we'd never sue humans. We were thinking of stickball or candy stores. How old are you?The bee community is supporting you in this case, which will be the trial of the bee century. You know, they have a Larry King in the human world too. It's a common name. Next week...He looks like you and has a show and suspenders and colored dots...Next week...Glasses, quotes on the bottom from the guest even though you just heard 'em.Bear Week next week! They're scary, hairy and here live.Always leans forward, pointy shoulders, squinty eyes, very Jewish. In tennis, you attack at the point of weakness! It was my grandmother, Ken. She's 81.Honey, her backhand's a joke!I'm not gonna take advantage of that?Quiet, please.Actual work going on here.Is that that same bee?Yes, it is!I'm helping him sue the human race.Hello.Hello, bee. This is
Ken.Yeah, I remember you. Timberland, size ten and a half. Vibram sole, I believe. Why does he talk again?Listen, you better go 'cause we're really busy working. But it's our yogurt night!Bye-bye.Why is yogurt night so difficult?!You poor thing. You two have been at this for hours!Yes, and Adam here has been a huge help.Frosting...How many sugars?Just one. I try not to use the competition. So why are you helping me?Bees have good qualities. And it takes my mind off the shop. Instead of flowers, people are giving balloon bouquets now. Those are great, if you're three. And artificial flowers.Oh, those just get me psychotic!Yeah, me too.Bent stingers, pointless pollination.Bees must hate those fake things!Nothing worse than a daffodil that's had work done.Maybe this could make up for it a little bit. This lawsuit's a pretty big deal.I guess. You sure you want to go through with it?Am I sure? When I'm done with the humans, they won't be able to say, "Honey, I'm home," without paying a royalty! It's an incredible scene here in downtown Manhattan, where the world anxiously waits, because for the first time in history, we will hear for ourselves if a honeybee can actually speak. What have we gotten into here, Barry? It's pretty big, isn't it?I can't believe how many humans don't work during the day.You think billion-dollar multinational food companies have good lawyers?Everybody needs to stay behind the barricade. What's the matter?I don't know, I just got a chill.Well, if it isn't the bee team. You boys work on this? All rise! The Honorable Judge Bumbleton presiding. All right. Case number 4475,Superior Court of New York,Barry Bee Benson v. the Honey Industry is now in session.Mr. Montgomery, you're representing the five food companies collectively?A privilege.Mr. Benson... you're representing all the bees of the world?I'm kidding. Yes, Your Honor, we're ready to proceed.Mr. Montgomery, your opening statement, please.Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my grandmother was a simple woman. Born on a farm, she believed it was man's divine right to benefit from the bounty of nature God put before us.If we lived in the topsy-turvy world Mr. Benson imagines, just think of what would it mean.I would have to negotiate with the silkworm for the elastic in my britches!Talking bee!How do we know this isn't some sort of holographic motion-picture-capture Hollywood wizardry? They could be using laser beams! Robotics! Ventriloquism! Cloning! For all we know, he could be on steroids!Mr. Benson?Ladies and gentlemen, there's no trickery here. I'm just an ordinary bee. Honey's pretty important to me. It's important to all bees. We invented it! We make it. And we protect it with our lives.Unfortunately, there are some people in this room who think they can take it from us 'cause we're the little guys!I'm hoping that, after this is all over, you'll see how, by taking our honey, you not only take everything we have but everything we are!I wish he'd dress like that all the time. So nice!Call your first witness. So, Mr. Klauss Vanderhayden of Honey Farms, big company you have.I suppose so.I see you also own Honeyburton and Honron!Yes, they provide beekeepers for our farms.Beekeeper. I find that to be a very disturbing term.I don't imagine you employ any bee-free-ers, do you? No.I couldn't hear you.No.No. Because you don't free bees. You keep bees. Not only that, it seems you thought a bear would be an appropriate image for a jar of honey. They're very lovable creatures. Yogi Bear, Fozzie Bear, Build-A-Bear.You mean like this?Bears kill bees! How'd you like his head crashing through your living room?! Biting into your couch! Spitting out your throw pillows! OK, that's enough. Take him away. So, Mr. Sting, thank you for being here. Your name intrigues me. Where have I heard it before?I was with a band called The Police. But you've never been a police officer, have you?No, I haven't.No, you haven't. And so here we have yet another example of bee culture casually stolen by a human for nothing more than a prance-about stage name.Oh, please.Have you ever been stung, Mr. Sting?
Because I'm feeling a little stung, Sting. Or should I say... Mr. Gordon M. Sumner! That's not his real name?! You idiots!Mr. Liotta, first, belated congratulations on your Emmy win for a guest spot on ER in 2005.Thank you. Thank you.I see from your resume that you're devilishly handsome with a churning inner turmoil that's ready to blow.I enjoy what I do. Is that a crime? Not yet it isn't. But is this what it's come to for you? Exploiting tiny, helpless bees so you don't have to rehearse your part and learn your lines, sir?Watch it, Benson! I could blow right now! This isn't a goodfella. This is a badfella! Why doesn't someone just step on this creep, and we can all go home?!Order in this court! You're all thinking it!Order! Order, I say!Say it!Mr. Liotta, please sit down!I think it was awfully nice of that bear to pitch in like that. I think the jury's on our side. Are we doing everything right, legally?I'm a florist.Right. Well, here's to a great team.To a great team!Well, hello.Ken!Hello.I didn't think you were coming. No, I was just late I tried to call, but... the battery.I didn't want all this to go to waste,so I called Barry. Luckily, he was free.Oh, that was lucky. There's a little left. I could heat it up.Yeah, heat it up, sure, whatever. So I hear you're quite a tennis player. I'm not much for the game myself. The ball's a little grabby. That's where I usually sit. Right... there.Ken, Barry was looking at your resume, and he agreed with me that eating with chopsticks isn't really a special skill. You think I don't see what you're doing?I know how hard it is to find the right job. We have that in common.Do we?Bees have 100 percent employment, but we do jobs like taking the crud out. That's just what I was thinking about doing.Ken, I let Barry borrow your razor for his fuzz. I hope that was all right.I'm going to drain the old stinger.Yeah, you do that.Look at that. You know, I've just about had it with your little Mind Games. What's that?Italian Vogue.Mamma mia, that's a lot of pages.A lot of ads.Remember what Van said, why is your life more valuable than mine?Funny, I just can't seem to recall that! I think something stinks in here!I love the smell of flowers. How do you like the smell of flames?!Not as much.Water bug! Not taking sides!Ken, I'm wearing a Chapstick hat! This is pathetic!I've got issues!Well, well, well, a royal flush! You're bluffing.Am I?Surf's up, dude!Poo water! That bowl is gnarly. Except for those dirty yellow rings!Kenneth! What are you doing?!You know, I don't even like honey! I don't eat it!We need to talk! He's just a little bee!And he happens to be the nicest bee I've met in a long time!Long time? What are you talking about?! Are there other bugs in your life? No, but there are other things bugging me in life. And you're one of them!Fine! Talking bees, no yogurt night...My nerves are fried from riding on this emotional roller coaster!Goodbye, Ken.And for your information, I prefer sugar-free, artificial sweeteners made by man!I'm sorry about all that.I know it's got an aftertaste! I like it!I always felt there was some kind of barrier between Ken and me. I couldn't overcome it.Oh, well. Are you OK for the trial?I believe Mr. Montgomery is about out of ideas. We would like to call Mr. Barry Benson Bee to the stand.Good idea! You can really see why he's considered one of the best lawyers...Yeah.Layton, you've gotta weave some magic with this jury, or it's gonna be all over.Don't worry. The only thing I have to do to turn this jury around is to remind them of what they don't like about bees. You got the tweezers? Are you allergic?Only to losing, son. Only to losing.Mr. Benson Bee, I'll ask you what I think we'd all like to know. What exactly is your relationship to that woman? We're friends.Good friends?Yes.How good? Do you live together?Wait a minute... Are you her little... bedbug?I've seen a bee documentary or two. From what I understand, doesn't your queen give birth to all the bee children?Yeah, but...So those aren't your real parents!Oh, Barry...Yes, they are!Hold me back! You're an illegitimate bee,
aren't you, Benson? He's denouncing bees!Don't y'all date your cousins?Objection!I'm going to pincushion this guy!Adam, don't! It's what he wants!Oh, I'm hit!! Oh, lordy, I am hit!Order! Order! The venom! The venom is coursing through my veins! I have been felled by a winged beast of destruction! You see? You can't treat them like equals! They're striped savages! Stinging's the only thing they know! It's their way!Adam, stay with me.I can't feel my legs. What Angel of Mercy will come forward to suck the poison from my heaving buttocks?I will have order in this court. Order! Order, please! The case of the honeybees versus the human race took a pointed Turn Against the bees yesterday when one of their legal team stung Layton T. Montgomery.Hey, buddy.Hey.Is there much pain?Yeah.I... I blew the whole case, didn't I?It doesn't matter. What matters isyou're alive. You could have died.I'd be better off dead. Look at me.They got it from the cafeteria downstairs, in a tuna sandwich. Look, there's a little celery still on it.What was it like to sting someone?I can't explain it. It was all... All adrenaline and then...and then ecstasy! All right. You think it was all a trap?Of course. I'm sorry. I flew us right into this. What were we thinking? Look at us. We're just a couple of bugs in this world. What will the humans do to us if they win?I don't know.I hear they put the roaches in motels. That doesn't sound so bad.Adam, they check in, but they don't check out!Oh, my.Could you get a nurse to close that window? Why?The smoke.Bees don't smoke.Right. Bees don't smoke.Bees don't smoke! But some bees are smoking. That's it! That's our case!It is? It's not over?Get dressed. I've gotta go somewhere.Get back to the court and stall. Stall any way you can.And assuming you've done step correctly, you're ready for the tub.Mr. Flayman.Yes? Yes, Your Honor!Where is the rest of your team?Well, Your Honor, it's interesting. Bees are trained to fly haphazardly, and as a result, we don't make very good time.I actually heard a funny story about...Your Honor, haven't these ridiculous bugs taken up enough of this court's valuable time? How much longer will we allow these absurd shenanigans to go on?They have presented no compelling evidence to support their charges against my clients, who run legitimate businesses.I move for a complete dismissal of this entire case!Mr. Flayman, I'm afraid I'm going to have to consider Mr. Montgomery's motion. But you can't! We have a terrific case.Where is your proof?Where is the evidence?Show me the smoking gun!Hold it, Your Honor! You want a smoking gun? Here is your smoking gun. What is that? It's a bee smoker! What, this? This harmless little contraption? This couldn't hurt a fly, let alone a bee.Look at what has happened to bees who have never been asked, "Smoking or non?" Is this what nature intended for us? To be forcibly addicted to smoke machines and man-made wooden slat work camps?Living out our lives as honey slaves to the white man? What are we gonna do?He's playing the species card.Ladies and gentlemen, please, free these bees!Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! The court finds in favor of the bees!Vanessa, we won!I knew you could do it! High-five!Sorry.I'm OK! You know what this means? All the honey will finally belong to the bees. Now we won't have to work so hard all the time. This is an unholy perversion of the balance of nature, Benson. You'll regret this.Barry, how much honey is out there? All right. One at a time.Barry, who are you wearing? My sweater is Ralph Lauren, and I have no pants. What if Montgomery's right? What do you mean? We've been living the bee way a long time, 27 million years.Congratulations on your victory. What will you demand as a settlement?First, we'll demand a complete shutdown of all bee work camps. Then we want back the honey that was ours to begin with, every last drop.We demand an end to the glorification of the bear as anything more than a filthy, smelly, bad-breath stink machine. We're all aware of what they do in the woods.Wait for my signal. Take him
out. He'll have nauseous for a few hours, then he'll be fine. And we will no longer tolerate bee-negative nicknames...But it's just a prance-about stage name!...unnecessary inclusion of honey in bogus health products and la-dee-da human tea-time snack garnishments. Can't breathe.Bring it in, boys!Hold it right there! Good.Tap it.Mr. Buzzwell, we just passed three cups and there's gallons more coming!I think we need to shut down!Shut down? We've never shut down.Shut down honey production!Stop making honey!Turn your key, sir! What do we do now?Cannonball! We're shutting honey production!Mission abort.Aborting pollination and nectar detail.Returning to base.Adam, you wouldn't believe how much honey was out there.Oh, yeah? What's going on? Where is everybody? Are they out celebrating? They're home. They don't know what to do. Laying out, sleeping in.I heard your Uncle Carl was on his way to San Antonio with a cricket. At least we got our honey back.Sometimes I think, so what if humans liked our honey? Who wouldn't?It's the greatest thing in the world! I was excited to be part of making it.This was my new desk. This was my new job. I wanted to do it really well. And now...Now I can't.I don't understand why they're not happy.I thought their lives would be better! They're doing nothing. It's amazing.Honey really changes people. You don't have any idea what's going on, do you? What did you want to show me?This. What happened here? That is not the half of it.Oh, no. Oh, my.They're all wilting.Doesn't look very good, does it?No.And whose fault do you think that is?You know, I'm gonna guess bees.Bees?Specifically, me.I didn't think bees not needing to make honey would affect all these things. It's not just flowers. Fruits, vegetables, they all need bees. That's our whole SAT test right there.Take away produce, that affects the entire animal kingdom. And then, of course...The human species? So if there's no more pollination, it could all just go south here, couldn't it?I know this is also partly my fault. How about a suicide pact? How do we do it?I'll sting you, you step on me.That just kills you twice.Right, right.Listen, Barry... sorry, but I gotta get going.I had to open my mouth and talk.Vanessa?Vanessa? Why are you leaving?Where are you going? To the final Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena. They've moved it to this weekend because all the flowers are dying. It's the Last Chance I'll ever have to see it.Vanessa, I just wanna say I'm sorry.I never meant it to turn out like this.I know. Me neither.Tournament of Roses.Roses can't do sports.Wait a minute. Roses. Roses?Roses!Vanessa!Roses?!Barry?Roses are flowers!Yes, they are.Flowers, bees, pollen!I know. That's why this is the last parade.Maybe not.Could you ask him to slow down?Could you slow down?Barry!OK, I made a huge mistake. This is a total disaster, all my fault.Yes, it kind of is.I've ruined the planet. I wanted to help you with the flower shop. I've made it worse.Actually, it's completely closed down.I thought maybe you were remodeling. But I have another idea, and it's greater than my previous ideas combined.I don't want to hear it!All right, they have the roses, the roses have the pollen.I know every bee, plant and flower bud in this park. All we gotta do is get what they've got back here with what we've got.Bees.Park.Pollen!Flowers.Repollination!Across the nation!Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, California. They've got nothing but flowers, floats and cotton candy.Security will be tight.I have an idea.Vanessa Bloome, FTD.Official floral business. It's real.Sorry, ma'am. Nice brooch.Thank you. It was a gift.Once inside, we just pick the right float. How about The Princess and the Pea?I could be the princess, and you could be the pea!Yes, I got it.Where should I sit? What are you?I believe I'm the pea.The pea?It goes under the mattresses. Not in this fairy tale, sweetheart.I'm getting the marshal. You do that! This whole parade is a fiasco!Let's see what this baby'll do.Hey, what are you doing?!Then all we do is blend in with traffic... without arousing suspicion.Once at the airport, there's no
stopping us.Stop! Security. You and your insect pack your float?Yes.Has it been in your possession the entire time?Would you remove your shoes?Remove your stinger. It's part of me.I know. Just having some fun.Enjoy your flight. Then if we're lucky, we'll have just enough pollen to do the job.Can you believe how lucky we are? We have just enough pollen to do the job!I think this is gonna work. It's got to work.Attention, passengers, this is Captain Scott. We have a bit of bad weather in New York. It looks like we'll experience a couple hours delay.Barry, these are cut flowers with no water. They'll never make it.I gotta get up there and talk to them.Be careful. Can I get help with the Sky Mall magazine? I'd like to order the talking inflatable nose and ear hair trimmer.Captain, I'm in a real situation. What'd you say, Hal?Nothing.Bee!Don't freak out! My entire species...What are you doing?Wait a minute! I'm an attorney!Who's an attorney?Don't move.Oh, Barry.Good afternoon, passengers. This is your captain. Would a Miss Vanessa Bloome in 24B please report to the cockpit? And please hurry! What happened here? There was a DustBuster, a toupee, a life raft exploded. One's bald, one's in a boat, they're both unconscious! Is that another bee joke? No!No one's flying the plane! This is JFK control tower, Flight 356. What's your status? This is Vanessa Bloome. I'm a florist from New York.Where's the pilot? He's unconscious, and so is the copilot. Not good. Does anyone onboard have flight experience? As a matter of fact, there is.Who's that?Barry Benson. From the honey trial?! Oh, great.Vanessa, this is nothing more than a big metal bee. It's got giant wings, huge engines.I can't fly a plane. Why not? Isn't John Travolta a pilot?Yes.How hard could it be?Wait, Barry! We're headed into some lightning. This is Bob Bumble. We have some late-breaking news from JFK Airport, where a suspenseful scene is developing.Barry Benson, fresh from his legal victory...That's Barry!...is attempting to land a plane, loaded with people, flowers and an incapacitated flight crew.Flowers?!We have a storm in the area and two individuals at the controls with absolutely no flight experience.Just a minute. There's a bee on that plane.I'm quite familiar with Mr. Benson and his no-account compadres. They've done enough damage. But isn't he your only hope?Technically, a bee shouldn't be able to fly at all.Their wings are too small... Haven't we heard this a million times?"The surface area of the wings and body mass make no sense."Get this on the air!Got it.Stand by.We're going live. The way we work may be a mystery to you. Making honey takes a lot of bees doing a lot of small jobs. But let me tell you about a small job. If you do it well, it makes a big difference.More than we realized. To us, to everyone. That's why I want to get bees back to working together. That's the bee way! We're not made of Jell-O.We get behind a fellow.Black and yellow!Hello!Left, right, down, hover.Hover?Forget hover. This isn't so hard.Beep-beep! Beep-beep!Barry, what happened?!Wait, I think we were on autopilot the whole time. That may have been helping me.And now we're not!So it turns out I cannot fly a plane. All of you, let's get behind this fellow! Move it out!Move out!Our only chance is if I do what I'd do, you copy me with the wings of the plane!Don't have to yell.I'm not yelling! We're in a lot of trouble. It's very hard to concentrate with that panicky tone in your voice! It's not a tone. I'm panicking!I can't do this!Vanessa, pull yourself together. You have to snap out of it!You snap out of it.You snap out of it.You snap out of it!You snap out of it!You snap out of it!You snap out of it!You snap out of it!You snap out of it!Hold it!Why? Come on, it's my turn. How is the plane flying?I don't know.Hello?Benson, got any flowers for a happy occasion in there? The Pollen Jocks! They do get behind a fellow.Black and yellow.Hello.All right, let's drop this tin can on the blacktop.Where? I can't see anything. Can you?No, nothing. It's all cloudy.Come on. You got to think bee, Barry.Thinking bee.Thinking
bee.Thinking bee!Thinking bee! Thinking bee!Wait a minute. I think I'm feeling something. What?I don't know. It's strong, pulling me.Like a 27-million-year-old instinct.Bring the nose down.Thinking bee!Thinking bee! Thinking bee! What in the world is on the tarmac?Get some lights on that!Thinking bee!Thinking bee! Thinking bee!Vanessa, aim for the flower.OK.Cut the engines. We're going in on bee power. Ready, boys?Affirmative!Good. Good. Easy, now. That's it.Land on that flower!Ready? Full reverse!Spin it around! Not that flower! The other one!Which one? That flower.I'm aiming at the flower! That's a fat guy in a flowered shirt.I mean the giant pulsating flower made of millions of bees!Pull forward. Nose down. Tail up.Rotate around it.This is insane, Barry! This's the only way I know how to fly.Am I koo-koo-kachoo, or is this plane flying in an insect-like pattern?Get your nose in there. Don't be afraid. Smell it. Full reverse!Just drop it. Be a part of it.Aim for the center! Now drop it in! Drop it in, woman!Come on, already.Barry, we did it! You taught me how to fly!Yes. No high-five!Right.Barry, it worked!Did you see the giant flower? What giant flower? Where? Of courseI saw the flower! That was genius!Thank you.But we're not done yet.Listen, everyone! This runway is covered with the last pollen from the last flowers available anywhere on Earth. That means this is our Last Chance. We're the only ones who make honey, pollinate flowers and dress like this.If we're gonna survive as a species, this is our moment! What do you say?Are we going to be bees, or just Museum of Natural History keychains? We're bees!Keychain! Then follow me! Except Keychain.Hold on, Barry. Here. You've earned this.Yeah!I'm a Pollen Jock! And it's a perfect fit. All I gotta do are the sleeves.Oh, yeah. That's our Barry.Mom! The bees are back!If anybody needs to make a call, now's the time. I got a feeling we'll be working late tonight! Here's your change. Have a great afternoon! Can I help who's next?Would you like some honey with that?It is bee-approved. Don't forget these.Milk, cream, cheese, it's all me. And I don't see a nickel!Sometimes I just feel like a piece of meat!I had no idea.Barry, I'm sorry.Have you got a moment?Would you excuse me?My mosquito associate will help you.Sorry I'm late. He's a lawyer too?I was already a blood-sucking parasite. All I needed was a briefcase.Have a great afternoon!Barry, I just got this huge tulip order, and I can't get them anywhere. No problem, Vannie. Just leave it to me.You're a lifesaver, Barry. RP Meme from The Lost Boys
I told you to stay off the boardwalk.
Hey, I liked that song.
I don't see any boogeymen or nasty guys.
Wait. That's from my era!
That's the ocean air.
Smells like someone died.
Looks like he's dead. No, he's just a deep sleeper.
If he's dead, can we go back to [PLACE]?
What's wrong with this picture? There's no TV. Have you seen a TV? I haven't seen a TV.
You're the only woman I ever knew who didn't improve her situation by getting divorced.
A big legal war wasn't going to improve anybody's situation.
Ouch. My hair.
Talk about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
We've got some rules around here. Second shelf is
mine. That's where I keep my root beers and my double-thick Oreo cookies. Nobody touches the second shelf but me.
There's another rule around here, and I want you to pay
close attention. Don't touch anything. Everything is exactly where I want it.
There are some bad elements around here.
You're telling me we've moved to the murder capital of the world?
If all the corpses buried around here were to stand up all at once we'd have one hell of a population problem.
I just like to read the TV Guide. Read the TV Guide, you don't need a TV.
I was so worried. Don't run off like that.
We were that age, too, once. Only they dress better.
You have a generous nature. I like that in a person.
So how may I help you this evening? We have it all.
I look that needy, huh?
You're chasing that girl, aren't you?
I'm at the mercy of your sex glands.
Don't you have something better to do than follow me around all night?
Just scoping your civilian wardrobe.
Listen buddy, if you're looking for the diet frozen-yogurt bar, it went out of business last summer.
That's a very serious book, man.
Only five in existence.
Where the hell are you from? Krypton?
Nobody drives this baby but me.
We have to let it warm up a little. Hear that sound? Just like a baby pussycat.
That's as close to town as I like to get.
It's a pretty cool place. If you're a Martian. Or a vampire.
Are you guys sniffing old newsprint or something?
You think you really know what's happening here, don't you? Well, I'll tell you something. You don't know shit buddy.
This is just our cover. We are dedicated to a higher
purpose. We're fighters for Truth Justice, and the American
way.
Think of it more as a survival manual.
There's our number on the back and pray you never need to call us.
I'll pray I never need to call you.
If you want your ear pierced, I'll do it.
I came this close to being called Moon Beam or Moon Child Or something like that.
I can't beat your bike.
You don't have to beat me, [NAME]. You just have to try
and keep up.
Just you! Come on! Just you!
That's what I love about this place. You ask, and then you get.
I can never sleep with the closet door open, either. Not even a crack.
Don't sneak up on people like that!
What, you don't like rice? Tell me [NAME], how could a
billion Chinese people be wrong? Come on!
You're eating maggots. How do they taste?
Sorry about that. No hard feelings, huh?
Drink some of this, [NAME]. Be one of us.
Give me those sunglasses.
You need sunglasses to talk on the phone?
Are you freebasing? Inquiring minds want to know.
Anything in here that might pass for after-shave?
Have a big date tonight, [NAME]?
Lose the earring, [NAME]. It's not you. It's definitely
not you.
All you do is give attitude lately.
Go take your bath.
What did you do to my dog, asshole?
I didn't hurt him. He bit me. This is my blood.
Why did he bite you, huh? What did you do to him?
He was protecting you.
Look at your reflection in the mirror. You're a creature of
the night, [NAME]. Just like out of a comic book.
My own brother/sister/friend/etc, a goddam shit-sucking vampire.
You wait 'til[NAME] finds out!
Just let me talk. Wait a minute! [NAME]!
You did the right thing by calling us.
Does the sunlight freak him out?
He wears sunglasses in the house.
He always had bad breath, though.
He's a vampire all right. Here's what you do.
I can't do that! He's my brother/sister/mother/friend/etc!
You better get yourself a garlic T-shirt, buddy. Or it's
your funeral.
I think we have to have a real long talk about something.
[NAME] help! He's coming to get me!
[NAME], help me! Open up! Help me! [NAME], open the window!
So what are you, the flying nun?
We're gonna work this out. We*re gonna work this out. Trust
me, okay?
I thought I saw something on my window, but I guess I got carried away.
I would like to have a personal life too.
Can I sleep in here with you tonight?
You smell like garlic.
What's happening to me, [NAME]?
I don't know how to help you.
Aren't we friends anymore?
Then let's act like friends. Let's talk.
We could talk about anything you want to talk about.
I have more serious things on my mind than girls and school. Things I'm dealing with.
Looks like I wasn't the only one who got lucky last night.
The dog chased my mom like the Hounds of Hell from Vampires
Everywhere.
We've been aware of some very serious vampire activity in
town for a long time.
[PLACE] has become a haven for the undead.
As a matter of fact, we're almost certain that ghouls and
werewolves occupy high position at City Hall.
Kill your brother/sister/boyfriend/aunt/best friend/etc, you'll feel better!
Look, it says here that if you kill the head vampire all half-vampires will return to normal.
Does he know who the head vampire is?
You'll have to kill him. And if you don't, we will.
Vampire require a daytime protector, a guardian to watch
over them as they sleep. Fierce dogs, the Hounds of Hell,
are often employed for this purpose.
Truth, Justice, The American way triumphs.
Smells good. When do we eat?
Are we gonna have company again?
Well, you are the man of the house and I'm not coming in until you invite me.
He promises to behave if you come back.
I didn't know you were having guests.
Our batting average isn't terrific, is it? Zero for two.
You're so sweet to him.
I don't know what got in to him. He's not like that.
If you ever want to see [NAME] again, you better come with
us now.
Initiation's over, [NAME]. Time to join the club.
Don't kill me, [NAME]. I'm basically a good kid, so just
don't kill me.
Just work with me and I can help you. You'll be okay.
Is she one of them?
You shut the window and lock your door.
She's one of them! And don't tell me it doesn't make her a
bad person, [NAME]!
Yes, and it's my fault. You would've not met me, if I
hadn't liked you. I tried to warn you.
You drank someone's blood? Are you crazy?
We're not them.
Why didn't you kill me last night?
You're supposed to be my first.
What are you doing here? What do you want from me?
Don't kill anybody until we get back to you!
I got connections.
The night crawler. The bloodsucker. El Vampiro.
I don't want you going down there.
Look, this isn't a comic book, [NAME]. These guys are
brutal killers.
Who'd you rather go down in with you? Them or me?
If something happens down there, I won't have the strength
to protect you.
This time I'll protect you.
Even though you're a vampire, you're still my brother/sister/friend/etc
If you try to stop us, or vamp out in any way, I'll stake
you without even thinking twice about it!
Where did you say you met these guys?
Don't you touch her. Stay away from her.
Flies and the undead go together like bullets and guns.
There must be coffins here someplace.
I thought they'd be in coffins.
That's what this cave is. It's one giant coffin.
Right now they're at their most vulnerable. Easy pickings.
Remember. You just have to kill the leader.
We don't know which one he is.
I guess we'll just have to kill them all.
What's that, a little vampire humor? It wasn't funny.
Good night, bloodsucker.
We blew it, man! We lost it!
We unraveled in the face of the enemy!
They pulled a mind-scramble on us!
We don't ride with vampires.
"Burn rubber" does not mean warp speed!
Your dog knows a flesh-eater when he smells one.
The sun goes down. They'll be looking for us.
[PLACE] is crawling with vampires
They're coming to the house as soon as it gets dark!
I'm gonna see [NAME] tonight, and you're trying to ruin it for me.
I don't know what you don't want me to see.
I'm not talking about [NAME]! To hell with [NAME]!
Good. That's just the way we like it.
We've got a date tonight?
They'll be coming for all of us.
It's just old memories coming back.
Why are you so jumpy tonight?
He seemed so sincere, but it's insane.
Tell me. I promise not to laugh. Honest.
I think I should warn you all when a vampire dies, it's never a pretty sight.
Some yell and scream. Some go quietly. Some explode. Some implode. But all will try to take you with them.
Don't go out there! Stop him!
I say we terminate them right now.
You're mine. You killed [NAME]
Try the holy water, dead breath!
I nailed one of them downstairs with a bow and arrow.
We trashed the one that looked like Twisted Sister.
We totally annihilated his night stalkin' ass!
Death to all vampires!
We are awesome monster bashers!
Holy shit! The attack of Eddie Monster!
Stop! Get away from him! Just stay away from him! He's just
a little boy.
You're afraid to face me, [NAME]?
I tried to make you immortal.
You tried to make me a killer!
Stop fighting me, [NAME]. I don't want to kill you. Join us.
It is too late, my blood is in your veins.
Don't let them see me like this.
What happened to your face?
I knew it. You are the head vampire.
You're the secret [NAME] was protecting.
Don't ever invite a vampire into your house, you silly boy/girl/etc.
It renders you powerless.
Has everyone gone crazy? What's the matter with all of you?
It was you I was after, all along, [NAME]
It was all going to be so perfect, [NAME]
Just like one big happy family.
Great. The bloodsucking Brady Bunch.
I still want you, [NAME]. I haven't changed my mind about that.
I didn't invite you this time, [NAME]
Don't you touch my mother/father/son/dog/etc
Don't fight, [NAME]. It's so much better if you don't fight.
How much do you think we should charge them for this?
One thing about living in [PLACE] I never could
stomach--all the damn vampires.

it won't fit in an ask so here you go
According to all known laws
of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
   because bees don’t care
what humans think is impossible.
   Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
   Ooh, black and yellow!
Let’s shake it up a little.
   Barry! Breakfast is ready!
   Coming!
   Hang on a second.
   Hello?
   - Barry?
- Adam?
   - Can you believe this is happening?
- I can’t. I’ll pick you up.
   Looking sharp.
   Use the stairs. Your father
paid good money for those.
   Sorry. I’m excited.
   Here’s the graduate.
We’re very proud of you, son.
A perfect report card, all B’s.
   Very proud.
Ma! I got a thing going here.
   - You got lint on your fuzz.
- Ow! That’s me!
   - Wave to us! We’ll be in row 118,000.
- Bye!
   Barry, I told you,
stop flying in the house!
   - Hey, Adam.
- Hey, Barry.
   - Is that fuzz gel?
- A little. Special day, graduation.
   Never thought I’d make it.
   Three days grade school,
three days high school.
   Those were awkward.
Three days college. I’m glad I took
a day and hitchhiked around the hive.
   You did come back different.
   - Hi, Barry.
- Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.
   - Hear about Frankie?
- Yeah.
   - You going to the funeral?
- No, I’m not going.
   Everybody knows,
sting someone, you die.
Don’t waste it on a squirrel.
Such a hothead.
   I guess he could have
just gotten out of the way.
   I love this incorporating
an amusement park into our day.
That’s why we don’t need vacations.
Boy, quite a bit of pomp…
under the circumstances.
   - Well, Adam, today we are men.
- We are!
   - Bee-men.
- Amen!
   Hallelujah!
   Students, faculty, distinguished bees,
   please welcome Dean Buzzwell.
   Welcome, New Hive City
graduating class of…
   …9:15.
   That concludes our ceremonies.
   And begins your career
at Honex Industries!
Will we pick our job today?
   I heard it’s just orientation.
   Heads up! Here we go.
   Keep your hands and antennas
inside the tram at all times.
   - Wonder what it’ll be like?
- A little scary.
   Welcome to Honex,
a division of Honesco
and a part of the Hexagon Group.
   This is it!
   Wow.
   Wow.
We know that you, as a bee,
have worked your whole life
to get to the point where you
can work for your whole life.
Honey begins when our valiant Pollen
Jocks bring the nectar to the hive.
   Our top-secret formula
   is automatically color-corrected,
scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured
   into this soothing sweet syrup
   with its distinctive
golden glow you know as…
   Honey!
   - That girl was hot.
- She’s my cousin!
   - She is?
- Yes, we’re all cousins.
   - Right. You’re right.
- At Honex, we constantly strive
   to improve every aspect
of bee existence.
   These bees are stress-testing
a new helmet technology.
   - What do you think he makes?
- Not enough.
Here we have our latest advancement,
the Krelman.
   - What does that do?
- Patches that little strand of honey
that hangs after you pour it.
Saves us millions.
Oan anyone work on the Krelman?
Of course. Most bee jobs are
small ones. But bees know
   that every small job,
if it’s done well, means a lot.
   But choose carefully
because you’ll stay in the job
you pick for the rest of your life.
The same job the rest of your life?
I didn’t know that.
   What’s the difference?
You’ll be happy to know that bees,
as a species, haven’t had one day off
   in 27 million years.
So you’ll just work us to death?
   We’ll sure try.
   Wow! That blew my mind!
   “What’s the difference?”
How can you say that?
   One job forever?
That’s an insane choice to have to make.
I’m relieved. Now we only have
to make one decision in life.
   But, Adam, how could they
never have told us that?
   Why would you question anything?
We’re bees.
   We’re the most perfectly
functioning society on Earth.
   You ever think maybe things
work a little too well here?
Like what? Give me one example.
I don’t know. But you know
what I’m talking about.
   Please clear the gate.
Royal Nectar Force on approach.
Wait a second. Check it out.
   - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks!
- Wow.
I’ve never seen them this close.
   They know what it’s like
outside the hive.
Yeah, but some don’t come back.
   - Hey, Jocks!
- Hi, Jocks!
   You guys did great!
   You’re monsters!
You’re sky freaks! I love it! I love it!
   - I wonder where they were.
- I don’t know.
   Their day’s not planned.
Outside the hive, flying who knows
where, doing who knows what.
You can’t just decide to be a Pollen
Jock. You have to be bred for that.
   Right.
   Look. That’s more pollen
than you and I will see in a lifetime.
   It’s just a status symbol.
Bees make too much of it.
   Perhaps. Unless you’re wearing it
and the ladies see you wearing it.
   Those ladies?
Aren’t they our cousins too?
   Distant. Distant.
   Look at these two.
   - Couple of Hive Harrys.
- Let’s have fun with them.
   It must be dangerous
being a Pollen Jock.
Yeah. Once a bear pinned me
against a mushroom!
He had a paw on my throat,
and with the other, he was slapping me!
   - Oh, my!
- I never thought I’d knock him out.
What were you doing during this?
   Trying to alert the authorities.
   I can autograph that.
A little gusty out there today,
wasn’t it, comrades?
   Yeah. Gusty.
   We’re hitting a sunflower patch
six miles from here tomorrow.
   - Six miles, huh?
- Barry!
   A puddle jump for us,
but maybe you’re not up for it.
   - Maybe I am.
- You are not!
   We’re going 0900 at J-Gate.
   What do you think, buzzy-boy?
Are you bee enough?
I might be. It all depends
on what 0900 means.
   Hey, Honex!
   Dad, you surprised me.
You decide what you’re interested in?
   - Well, there’s a lot of choices.
- But you only get one.
   Do you ever get bored
doing the same job every day?
Son, let me tell you about stirring.
You grab that stick, and you just
move it around, and you stir it around.
You get yourself into a rhythm.
It’s a beautiful thing.
   You know, Dad,
the more I think about it,
   maybe the honey field
just isn’t right for me.
   You were thinking of what,
making balloon animals?
   That’s a bad job
for a guy with a stinger.
   Janet, your son’s not sure
he wants to go into honey!
   - Barry, you are so funny sometimes.
- I’m not trying to be funny.
   You’re not funny! You’re going
into honey. Our son, the stirrer!
   - You’re gonna be a stirrer?
- No one’s listening to me!
Wait till you see the sticks I have.
I could say anything right now.
I’m gonna get an ant tattoo!
Let’s open some honey and celebrate!
   Maybe I’ll pierce my thorax.
Shave my antennae.
Shack up with a grasshopper. Get
a gold tooth and call everybody “dawg”!
   I’m so proud.
   - We’re starting work today!
- Today’s the day.
Come on! All the good jobs
will be gone.
   Yeah, right.
   Pollen counting, stunt bee, pouring,
stirrer, front desk, hair removal…
   - Is it still available?
- Hang on. Two left!
   One of them’s yours! Congratulations!
Step to the side.
   - What’d you get?
- Picking crud out. Stellar!
   Wow!
   Couple of newbies?
Yes, sir! Our first day! We are ready!
   Make your choice.
   - You want to go first?
- No, you go.
   Oh, my. What’s available?
   Restroom attendant’s open,
not for the reason you think.
   - Any chance of getting the Krelman?
- Sure, you’re on.
I’m sorry, the Krelman just closed out.
   Wax monkey’s always open.
   The Krelman opened up again.
   What happened?
A bee died. Makes an opening. See?
He’s dead. Another dead one.
   Deady. Deadified. Two more dead.
   Dead from the neck up.
Dead from the neck down. That’s life!
   Oh, this is so hard!
   Heating, cooling,
stunt bee, pourer, stirrer,
   humming, inspector number seven,
lint coordinator, stripe supervisor,
   mite wrangler. Barry, what
do you think I should… Barry?
   Barry!
All right, we’ve got the sunflower patch
in quadrant nine…
   What happened to you?
Where are you?
   - I’m going out.
- Out? Out where?
   - Out there.
- Oh, no!
I have to, before I go
to work for the rest of my life.
You’re gonna die! You’re crazy! Hello?
   Another call coming in.
   If anyone’s feeling brave,
there’s a Korean deli on 83rd
   that gets their roses today.
   Hey, guys.
   - Look at that.
- Isn’t that the kid we saw yesterday?
Hold it, son, flight deck’s restricted.
It’s OK, Lou. We’re gonna take him up.
   Really? Feeling lucky, are you?
Sign here, here. Just initial that.
   - Thank you.
- OK.
You got a rain advisory today,
   and as you all know,
bees cannot fly in rain.
   So be careful. As always,
watch your brooms,
   hockey sticks, dogs,
birds, bears and bats.
Also, I got a couple of reports
of root beer being poured on us.
Murphy’s in a home because of it,
babbling like a cicada!
   - That’s awful.
- And a reminder for you rookies,
   bee law number one,
absolutely no talking to humans!
   All right, launch positions!
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz,
buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz!
   Black and yellow!
   Hello!
You ready for this, hot shot?
   Yeah. Yeah, bring it on.
   Wind, check.
   - Antennae, check.
- Nectar pack, check.
   - Wings, check.
- Stinger, check.
Scared out of my shorts, check.
   OK, ladies,
   let’s move it out!
   Pound those petunias,
you striped stem-suckers!
All of you, drain those flowers!
   Wow! I’m out!
   I can’t believe I’m out!
   So blue.
I feel so fast and free!
   Box kite!
   Wow!
   Flowers!
   This is Blue Leader.
We have roses visual.
Bring it around 30 degrees and hold.
   Roses!
30 degrees, roger. Bringing it around.
   Stand to the side, kid.
It’s got a bit of a kick.
   That is one nectar collector!
   - Ever see pollination up close?
- No, sir.
I pick up some pollen here, sprinkle it
over here. Maybe a dash over there,
   a pinch on that one.
See that? It’s a little bit of magic.
That’s amazing. Why do we do that?
That’s pollen power. More pollen, more
flowers, more nectar, more honey for us.
   Oool.
I’m picking up a lot of bright yellow.
Could be daisies. We don’t need those?
Oopy that visual.
   Wait. One of these flowers
seems to be on the move.
   Say again? You’re reporting
a moving flower?
   Affirmative.
   That was on the line!
This is the coolest. What is it?
I don’t know, but I’m loving this color.
   It smells good.
Not like a flower, but I like it.
   Yeah, fuzzy.
   Ohemical-y.
Careful, guys. It’s a little grabby.
   My sweet lord of bees!
   Oandy-brain, get off there!
   Problem!
   - Guys!
- This could be bad.
   Affirmative.
   Very close.
   Gonna hurt.
   Mama’s little boy.
You are way out of position, rookie!
Coming in at you like a missile!
   Help me!
I don’t think these are flowers.
   - Should we tell him?
- I think he knows.
   What is this?!
   Match point!
You can start packing up, honey,
because you’re about to eat it!
   Yowser!
   Gross.
There’s a bee in the car!
   - Do something!
- I’m driving!
   - Hi, bee.
- He’s back here!
   He’s going to sting me!
Nobody move. If you don’t move,
he won’t sting you. Freeze!
   He blinked!
   Spray him, Granny!
   What are you doing?!
   Wow… the tension level
out here is unbelievable.
   I gotta get home.
   Oan’t fly in rain.
   Oan’t fly in rain.
   Oan’t fly in rain.
   Mayday! Mayday! Bee going down!
   Ken, could you close
the window please?
   Ken, could you close
the window please?
   Check out my new resume.
I made it into a fold-out brochure.
   You see? Folds out.
Oh, no. More humans. I don’t need this.
   What was that?
Maybe this time. This time. This time.
This time! This time! This…
   Drapes!
   That is diabolical.
It’s fantastic. It’s got all my special
skills, even my top-ten favorite movies.
   What’s number one? Star Wars?
   Nah, I don’t go for that…
   …kind of stuff.
No wonder we shouldn’t talk to them.
They’re out of their minds.
   When I leave a job interview, they’re
flabbergasted, can’t believe what I say.
There’s the sun. Maybe that’s a way out.
   I don’t remember the sun
having a big 75 on it.
   I predicted global warming.
I could feel it getting hotter.
At first I thought it was just me.
   Wait! Stop! Bee!
Stand back. These are winter boots.
   Wait!
   Don’t kill him!
You know I’m allergic to them!
This thing could kill me!
   Why does his life have
less value than yours?
Why does his life have any less value
than mine? Is that your statement?
I’m just saying all life has value. You
don’t know what he’s capable of feeling.
   My brochure!
   There you go, little guy.
   I’m not scared of him.
It’s an allergic thing.
Put that on your resume brochure.
My whole face could puff up.
Make it one of your special skills.
   Knocking someone out
is also a special skill.
   Right. Bye, Vanessa. Thanks.
   - Vanessa, next week? Yogurt night?
- Sure, Ken. You know, whatever.
   - You could put carob chips on there.
- Bye.
   - Supposed to be less calories.
- Bye.
   I gotta say something.
   She saved my life.
I gotta say something.
   All right, here it goes.
   Nah.
   What would I say?
I could really get in trouble.
   It’s a bee law.
You’re not supposed to talk to a human.
   I can’t believe I’m doing this.
   I’ve got to.
Oh, I can’t do it. Come on!
   No. Yes. No.
   Do it. I can’t.
   How should I start it?
“You like jazz?” No, that’s no good.
Here she comes! Speak, you fool!
   Hi!
   I’m sorry.
   - You’re talking.
- Yes, I know.
   You’re talking!
   I’m so sorry.
   No, it’s OK. It’s fine.
I know I’m dreaming.
But I don’t recall going to bed.
   Well, I’m sure this
is very disconcerting.
This is a bit of a surprise to me.
I mean, you’re a bee!
I am. And I’m not supposed
to be doing this,
but they were all trying to kill me.
And if it wasn’t for you…
   I had to thank you.
It’s just how I was raised.
   That was a little weird.
   - I’m talking with a bee.
- Yeah.
   I’m talking to a bee.
And the bee is talking to me!
I just want to say I’m grateful.
I’ll leave now.
   - Wait! How did you learn to do that?
- What?
   The talking thing.
Same way you did, I guess.
“Mama, Dada, honey.” You pick it up.
   - That’s very funny.
- Yeah.
Bees are funny. If we didn’t laugh,
we’d cry with what we have to deal with.
   Anyway…
   Oan I…
   …get you something?
- Like what?
   I don’t know. I mean…
I don’t know. Coffee?
I don’t want to put you out.
It’s no trouble. It takes two minutes.
   - It’s just coffee.
- I hate to impose.
   - Don’t be ridiculous!
- Actually, I would love a cup.
   Hey, you want rum cake?
   - I shouldn’t.
- Have some.
   - No, I can’t.
- Come on!
I’m trying to lose a couple micrograms.
   - Where?
- These stripes don’t help.
   You look great!
I don’t know if you know
anything about fashion.
   Are you all right?
   No.
He’s making the tie in the cab
as they’re flying up Madison.
   He finally gets there.
He runs up the steps into the church.
The wedding is on.
   And he says, “Watermelon?
I thought you said Guatemalan.
Why would I marry a watermelon?”
   Is that a bee joke?
That’s the kind of stuff we do.
   Yeah, different.
So, what are you gonna do, Barry?
   About work? I don’t know.
I want to do my part for the hive,
but I can’t do it the way they want.
   I know how you feel.
   - You do?
- Sure.
My parents wanted me to be a lawyer or
a doctor, but I wanted to be a florist.
   - Really?
- My only interest is flowers.
Our new queen was just elected
with that same campaign slogan.
   Anyway, if you look…
There’s my hive right there. See it?
   You’re in Sheep Meadow!
Yes! I’m right off the Turtle Pond!
No way! I know that area.
I lost a toe ring there once.
   - Why do girls put rings on their toes?
- Why not?
   - It’s like putting a hat on your knee.
- Maybe I’ll try that.
   - You all right, ma'am?
- Oh, yeah. Fine.
Just having two cups of coffee!
   Anyway, this has been great.
Thanks for the coffee.
   Yeah, it’s no trouble.
Sorry I couldn’t finish it. If I did,
I’d be up the rest of my life.
   Are you…?
Oan I take a piece of this with me?
   Sure! Here, have a crumb.
   - Thanks!
- Yeah.
   All right. Well, then…
I guess I’ll see you around.
   Or not.
   OK, Barry.
   And thank you
so much again… for before.
   Oh, that? That was nothing.
   Well, not nothing, but… Anyway…
   This can’t possibly work.
   He’s all set to go.
We may as well try it.
   OK, Dave, pull the chute.
   - Sounds amazing.
- It was amazing!
   It was the scariest,
happiest moment of my life.
   Humans! I can’t believe
you were with humans!
   Giant, scary humans!
What were they like?
Huge and crazy. They talk crazy.
   They eat crazy giant things.
They drive crazy.
   - Do they try and kill you, like on TV?
- Some of them. But some of them don’t.
   - How’d you get back?
- Poodle.
You did it, and I’m glad. You saw
whatever you wanted to see.
You had your “experience.” Now you
can pick out your job and be normal.
   - Well…
- Well?
   Well, I met someone.
   You did? Was she Bee-ish?
   - A wasp?! Your parents will kill you!
- No, no, no, not a wasp.
   - Spider?
- I’m not attracted to spiders.
I know it’s the hottest thing,
with the eight legs and all.
I can’t get by that face.
   So who is she?
   She’s… human.
No, no. That’s a bee law.
You wouldn’t break a bee law.
   - Her name’s Vanessa.
- Oh, boy.
   She’s so nice. And she’s a florist!
Oh, no! You’re dating a human florist!
   We’re not dating.
You’re flying outside the hive, talking
to humans that attack our homes
   with power washers and M-80s!
One-eighth a stick of dynamite!
   She saved my life!
And she understands me.
   This is over!
   Eat this.
This is not over! What was that?
   - They call it a crumb.
- It was so stingin’ stripey!
And that’s not what they eat.
That’s what falls off what they eat!
   - You know what a Cinnabon is?
- No.
It’s bread and cinnamon and frosting.
They heat it up…
   Sit down!
   …really hot!
- Listen to me!
We are not them! We’re us.
There’s us and there’s them!
   Yes, but who can deny
the heart that is yearning?
   There’s no yearning.
Stop yearning. Listen to me!
You have got to start thinking bee,
my friend. Thinking bee!
   - Thinking bee.
- Thinking bee.
   Thinking bee! Thinking bee!
Thinking bee! Thinking bee!
There he is. He’s in the pool.
You know what your problem is, Barry?
   I gotta start thinking bee?
How much longer will this go on?
   It’s been three days!
Why aren’t you working?
I’ve got a lot of big life decisions
to think about.
What life? You have no life!
You have no job. You’re barely a bee!
   Would it kill you
to make a little honey?
   Barry, come out.
Your father’s talking to you.
Martin, would you talk to him?
   Barry, I’m talking to you!
   You coming?
   Got everything?
   All set!
   Go ahead. I’ll catch up.
   Don’t be too long.
   Watch this!
   Vanessa!
   - We’re still here.
- I told you not to yell at him.
   He doesn’t respond to yelling!
   - Then why yell at me?
- Because you don’t listen!
   I’m not listening to this.
   Sorry, I’ve gotta go.
   - Where are you going?
- I’m meeting a friend.
A girl? Is this why you can’t decide?
   Bye.
   I just hope she’s Bee-ish.
   They have a huge parade
of flowers every year in Pasadena?
To be in the Tournament of Roses,
that’s every florist’s dream!
   Up on a float, surrounded
by flowers, crowds cheering.
   A tournament. Do the roses
compete in athletic events?
No. All right, I’ve got one.
How come you don’t fly everywhere?
   It’s exhausting. Why don’t you
run everywhere? It’s faster.
Yeah, OK, I see, I see.
All right, your turn.
TiVo. You can just freeze live TV?
That’s insane!
   You don’t have that?
We have Hivo, but it’s a disease.
It’s a horrible, horrible disease.
   Oh, my.
   Dumb bees!
You must want to sting all those jerks.
   We try not to sting.
It’s usually fatal for us.
So you have to watch your temper.
   Very carefully.
You kick a wall, take a walk,
write an angry letter and throw it out.
Work through it like any emotion:
   Anger, jealousy, lust.
Oh, my goodness! Are you OK?
   Yeah.
   - What is wrong with you?!
- It’s a bug.
   He’s not bothering anybody.
Get out of here, you creep!
What was that? A Pic ‘N’ Save circular?
Yeah, it was. How did you know?
It felt like about 10 pages.
Seventy-five is pretty much our limit.
   You’ve really got that
down to a science.
   - I lost a cousin to Italian Vogue.
- I’ll bet.
   What in the name
of Mighty Hercules is this?
   How did this get here?
Oute Bee, Golden Blossom,
   Ray Liotta Private Select?
   - Is he that actor?
- I never heard of him.
   - Why is this here?
- For people. We eat it.
   You don’t have
enough food of your own?
   - Well, yes.
- How do you get it?
   - Bees make it.
- I know who makes it!
And it’s hard to make it!
   There’s heating, cooling, stirring.
You need a whole Krelman thing!
   - It’s organic.
- It’s our-ganic!
   It’s just honey, Barry.
   Just what?!
   Bees don’t know about this!
This is stealing! A lot of stealing!
   You’ve taken our homes, schools,
hospitals! This is all we have!
   And it’s on sale?!
I’m getting to the bottom of this.
   I’m getting to the bottom
of all of this!
   Hey, Hector.
   - You almost done?
- Almost.
He is here. I sense it.
Well, I guess I’ll go home now
and just leave this nice honey out,
with no one around.
   You’re busted, box boy!
   I knew I heard something.
So you can talk!
   I can talk.
And now you’ll start talking!
Where you getting the sweet stuff?
Who’s your supplier?
   I don’t understand.
I thought we were friends.
   The last thing we want
to do is upset bees!
You’re too late! It’s ours now!
   You, sir, have crossed
the wrong sword!
   You, sir, will be lunch
for my iguana, Ignacio!
Where is the honey coming from?
   Tell me where!
Honey Farms! It comes from Honey Farms!
   Crazy person!
What horrible thing has happened here?
   These faces, they never knew
what hit them. And now
they’re on the road to nowhere!
   Just keep still.
   What? You’re not dead?
Do I look dead? They will wipe anything
that moves. Where you headed?
   To Honey Farms.
I am onto something huge here.
I’m going to Alaska. Moose blood,
crazy stuff. Blows your head off!
   I’m going to Tacoma.
   - And you?
- He really is dead.
   All right.
   Uh-oh!
   - What is that?!
- Oh, no!
   - A wiper! Triple blade!
- Triple blade?
Jump on! It’s your only chance, bee!
   Why does everything have
to be so doggone clean?!
How much do you people need to see?!
   Open your eyes!
Stick your head out the window!
   From NPR News in Washington,
I’m Carl Kasell.
But don’t kill no more bugs!
   - Bee!
- Moose blood guy!!
   - You hear something?
- Like what?
   Like tiny screaming.
   Turn off the radio.
   Whassup, bee boy?
   Hey, Blood.
Just a row of honey jars,
as far as the eye could see.
   Wow!
I assume wherever this truck goes
is where they’re getting it.
   I mean, that honey’s ours.
   - Bees hang tight.
- We’re all jammed in.
   It’s a close community.
Not us, man. We on our own.
Every mosquito on his own.
   - What if you get in trouble?
- You a mosquito, you in trouble.
Nobody likes us. They just smack.
See a mosquito, smack, smack!
At least you’re out in the world.
You must meet girls.
Mosquito girls try to trade up,
get with a moth, dragonfly.
Mosquito girl don’t want no mosquito.
You got to be kidding me!
   Mooseblood’s about to leave
the building! So long, bee!
   - Hey, guys!
- Mooseblood!
   I knew I’d catch y'all down here.
Did you bring your crazy straw?
We throw it in jars, slap a label on it,
and it’s pretty much pure profit.
   What is this place?
   A bee’s got a brain
the size of a pinhead.
   They are pinheads!
   Pinhead.
   - Check out the new smoker.
- Oh, sweet. That’s the one you want.
   The Thomas 3000!
   Smoker?
   Ninety puffs a minute, semi-automatic.
Twice the nicotine, all the tar.
   A couple breaths of this
knocks them right out.
   They make the honey,
and we make the money.
   “They make the honey,
and we make the money”?
   Oh, my!
What’s going on? Are you OK?
Yeah. It doesn’t last too long.
   Do you know you’re
in a fake hive with fake walls?
   Our queen was moved here.
We had no choice.
   This is your queen?
That’s a man in women’s clothes!
   That’s a drag queen!
   What is this?
   Oh, no!
   There’s hundreds of them!
   Bee honey.
Our honey is being brazenly stolen
on a massive scale!
This is worse than anything bears
have done! I intend to do something.
   Oh, Barry, stop.
Who told you humans are taking
our honey? That’s a rumor.
   Do these look like rumors?
   That’s a conspiracy theory.
These are obviously doctored photos.
How did you get mixed up in this?
   He’s been talking to humans.
   - What?
- Talking to humans?!
   He has a human girlfriend.
And they make out!
   Make out? Barry!
   We do not.
   - You wish you could.
- Whose side are you on?
   The bees!
I dated a cricket once in San Antonio.
Those crazy legs kept me up all night.
Barry, this is what you want
to do with your life?
I want to do it for all our lives.
Nobody works harder than bees!
   Dad, I remember you
coming home so overworked
   your hands were still stirring.
You couldn’t stop.
   I remember that.
What right do they have to our honey?
We live on two cups a year. They put it
in lip balm for no reason whatsoever!
Even if it’s true, what can one bee do?
Sting them where it really hurts.
   In the face! The eye!
   - That would hurt.
- No.
Up the nose? That’s a killer.
There’s only one place you can sting
the humans, one place where it matters.
Hive at Five, the hive’s only
full-hour action news source.
   No more bee beards!
With Bob Bumble at the anchor desk.
   Weather with Storm Stinger.
   Sports with Buzz Larvi.
   And Jeanette Ohung.
   - Good evening. I’m Bob Bumble.
- And I’m Jeanette Ohung.
   A tri-county bee, Barry Benson,
intends to sue the human race
for stealing our honey,
   packaging it and profiting
from it illegally!
Tomorrow night on Bee Larry King,
we’ll have three former queens here in
our studio, discussing their new book,
   Classy Ladies,
out this week on Hexagon.
Tonight we’re talking to Barry Benson.
Did you ever think, “I’m a kid
from the hive. I can’t do this”?
   Bees have never been afraid
to change the world.
   What about Bee Columbus?
Bee Gandhi? Bejesus?
Where I’m from, we’d never sue humans.
   We were thinking
of stickball or candy stores.
   How old are you?
   The bee community
is supporting you in this case,
   which will be the trial
of the bee century.
You know, they have a Larry King
in the human world too.
   It’s a common name. Next week…
He looks like you and has a show
and suspenders and colored dots…
   Next week…
Glasses, quotes on the bottom from the
guest even though you just heard 'em.
   Bear Week next week!
They’re scary, hairy and here live.
   Always leans forward, pointy shoulders,
squinty eyes, very Jewish.
   In tennis, you attack
at the point of weakness!
It was my grandmother, Ken. She’s 81.
   Honey, her backhand’s a joke!
I’m not gonna take advantage of that?
   Quiet, please.
Actual work going on here.
   - Is that that same bee?
- Yes, it is!
I’m helping him sue the human race.
   - Hello.
- Hello, bee.
   This is Ken.
Yeah, I remember you. Timberland, size
ten and a half. Vibram sole, I believe.
   Why does he talk again?
   Listen, you better go
'cause we’re really busy working.
   But it’s our yogurt night!
   Bye-bye.
Why is yogurt night so difficult?!
   You poor thing.
You two have been at this for hours!
   Yes, and Adam here
has been a huge help.
   - Frosting…
- How many sugars?
   Just one. I try not
to use the competition.
So why are you helping me?
   Bees have good qualities.
And it takes my mind off the shop.
   Instead of flowers, people
are giving balloon bouquets now.
Those are great, if you’re three.
   And artificial flowers.
   - Oh, those just get me psychotic!
- Yeah, me too.
   Bent stingers, pointless pollination.
Bees must hate those fake things!
   Nothing worse
than a daffodil that’s had work done.
   Maybe this could make up
for it a little bit.
   - This lawsuit’s a pretty big deal.
- I guess.
You sure you want to go through with it?
Am I sure? When I’m done with
the humans, they won’t be able
   to say, “Honey, I’m home,”
without paying a royalty!
   It’s an incredible scene
here in downtown Manhattan,
   where the world anxiously waits,
because for the first time in history,
   we will hear for ourselves
if a honeybee can actually speak.
What have we gotten into here, Barry?
   It’s pretty big, isn’t it?
I can’t believe how many humans
don’t work during the day.
   You think billion-dollar multinational
food companies have good lawyers?
   Everybody needs to stay
behind the barricade.
   - What’s the matter?
- I don’t know, I just got a chill.
Well, if it isn’t the bee team.
   You boys work on this?
   All rise! The Honorable
Judge Bumbleton presiding.
   All right. Oase number 4475,
   Superior Court of New York,
Barry Bee Benson v. the Honey Industry
   is now in session.
   Mr. Montgomery, you’re representing
the five food companies collectively?
   A privilege.
   Mr. Benson… you’re representing
all the bees of the world?
   I’m kidding. Yes, Your Honor,
we’re ready to proceed.
   Mr. Montgomery,
your opening statement, please.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
my grandmother was a simple woman.
Born on a farm, she believed
it was man’s divine right
   to benefit from the bounty
of nature God put before us.
If we lived in the topsy-turvy world
Mr. Benson imagines,
just think of what it would mean.
   I would have to negotiate
with the silkworm
for the elastic in my britches!
   Talking bee!
How do we know this isn’t some sort of
   holographic motion-picture-capture
Hollywood wizardry?
They could be using laser beams!
   Robotics! Ventriloquism!
Oloning! For all we know,
   he could be on steroids!
   Mr. Benson?
   Ladies and gentlemen,
there’s no trickery here.
   I’m just an ordinary bee.
Honey’s pretty important to me.
   It’s important to all bees.
We invented it!
We make it. And we protect it
with our lives.
   Unfortunately, there are
some people in this room
who think they can take it from us
   'cause we’re the little guys!
I’m hoping that, after this is all over,
you’ll see how, by taking our honey,
you not only take everything we have
   but everything we are!
I wish he’d dress like that
all the time. So nice!
   Call your first witness.
   So, Mr. Klauss Vanderhayden
of Honey Farms, big company you have.
   I suppose so.
   I see you also own
Honeyburton and Honron!
   Yes, they provide beekeepers
for our farms.
   Beekeeper. I find that
to be a very disturbing term.
   I don’t imagine you employ
any bee-free-ers, do you?
   - No.
- I couldn’t hear you.
   - No.
- No.
   Because you don’t free bees.
You keep bees. Not only that,
it seems you thought a bear would be
an appropriate image for a jar of honey.
   They’re very lovable creatures.
   Yogi Bear, Fozzie Bear, Build-A-Bear.
   You mean like this?
   Bears kill bees!
How’d you like his head crashing
through your living room?!
   Biting into your couch!
Spitting out your throw pillows!
OK, that’s enough. Take him away.
So, Mr. Sting, thank you for being here.
Your name intrigues me.
   - Where have I heard it before?
- I was with a band called The Police.
   But you’ve never been
a police officer, have you?
   No, I haven’t.
No, you haven’t. And so here
we have yet another example
   of bee culture casually
stolen by a human
   for nothing more than
a prance-about stage name.
   Oh, please.
Have you ever been stung, Mr. Sting?
   Because I’m feeling
a little stung, Sting.
Or should I say… Mr. Gordon M. Sumner!
That’s not his real name?! You idiots!
   Mr. Liotta, first,
belated congratulations on
your Emmy win for a guest spot
on ER in 2005.
   Thank you. Thank you.
   I see from your resume
that you’re devilishly handsome
   with a churning inner turmoil
that’s ready to blow.
I enjoy what I do. Is that a crime?
Not yet it isn’t. But is this
what it’s come to for you?
   Exploiting tiny, helpless bees
so you don’t
   have to rehearse
your part and learn your lines, sir?
   Watch it, Benson!
I could blow right now!
   This isn’t a goodfella.
This is a badfella!
Why doesn’t someone just step on
this creep, and we can all go home?!
   - Order in this court!
- You’re all thinking it!
   Order! Order, I say!
   - Say it!
- Mr. Liotta, please sit down!
I think it was awfully nice
of that bear to pitch in like that.
I think the jury’s on our side.
Are we doing everything right, legally?
   I’m a florist.
Right. Well, here’s to a great team.
   To a great team!
   Well, hello.
   - Ken!
- Hello.
I didn’t think you were coming.
   No, I was just late.
I tried to call, but… the battery.
I didn’t want all this to go to waste,
so I called Barry. Luckily, he was free.
   Oh, that was lucky.
   There’s a little left.
I could heat it up.
Yeah, heat it up, sure, whatever.
So I hear you’re quite a tennis player.
I’m not much for the game myself.
The ball’s a little grabby.
   That’s where I usually sit.
Right… there.
Ken, Barry was looking at your resume,
and he agreed with me that eating with
chopsticks isn’t really a special skill.
You think I don’t see what you’re doing?
I know how hard it is to find
the rightjob. We have that in common.
   Do we?
   Bees have 100 percent employment,
but we do jobs like taking the crud out.
   That’s just what
I was thinking about doing.
Ken, I let Barry borrow your razor
for his fuzz. I hope that was all right.
I’m going to drain the old stinger.
   Yeah, you do that.
   Look at that.
You know, I’ve just about had it
   with your little mind games.
   - What’s that?
- Italian Vogue.
Mamma mia, that’s a lot of pages.
   A lot of ads.
Remember what Van said, why is
your life more valuable than mine?
Funny, I just can’t seem to recall that!
I think something stinks in here!
I love the smell of flowers.
How do you like the smell of flames?!
   Not as much.
   Water bug! Not taking sides!
Ken, I’m wearing a Chapstick hat!
This is pathetic!
   I’ve got issues!
Well, well, well, a royal flush!
   - You’re bluffing.
- Am I?
   Surf’s up, dude!
   Poo water!
   That bowl is gnarly.
Except for those dirty yellow rings!
   Kenneth! What are you doing?!
You know, I don’t even like honey!
I don’t eat it!
   We need to talk!
   He’s just a little bee!
   And he happens to be
the nicest bee I’ve met in a long time!
Long time? What are you talking about?!
Are there other bugs in your life?
No, but there are other things bugging
me in life. And you’re one of them!
Fine! Talking bees, no yogurt night…
My nerves are fried from riding
on this emotional roller coaster!
   Goodbye, Ken.
   And for your information,
   I prefer sugar-free, artificial
sweeteners made by man!
   I’m sorry about all that.
   I know it’s got
an aftertaste! I like it!
I always felt there was some kind
of barrier between Ken and me.
   I couldn’t overcome it.
Oh, well.
Are you OK for the trial?
   I believe Mr. Montgomery
is about out of ideas.
   We would like to call
Mr. Barry Benson Bee to the stand.
Good idea! You can really see why he’s
considered one of the best lawyers…
   Yeah.
   Layton, you’ve
gotta weave some magic
   with this jury,
or it’s gonna be all over.
Don’t worry. The only thing I have
to do to turn this jury around
   is to remind them
of what they don’t like about bees.
   - You got the tweezers?
- Are you allergic?
Only to losing, son. Only to losing.
Mr. Benson Bee, I’ll ask you
what I think we’d all like to know.
   What exactly is your relationship
   to that woman?
   We’re friends.
   - Good friends?
- Yes.
How good? Do you live together?
   Wait a minute…
   Are you her little…
   …bedbug?
I’ve seen a bee documentary or two.
From what I understand,
   doesn’t your queen give birth
to all the bee children?
   - Yeah, but…
- So those aren’t your real parents!
   - Oh, Barry…
- Yes, they are!
   Hold me back!
   You’re an illegitimate bee,
aren’t you, Benson?
   He’s denouncing bees!
   Don’t y'all date your cousins?
   - Objection!
- I’m going to pincushion this guy!
Adam, don’t! It’s what he wants!
   Oh, I’m hit!!
   Oh, lordy, I am hit!
   Order! Order!
   The venom! The venom
is coursing through my veins!
   I have been felled
by a winged beast of destruction!
You see? You can’t treat them
like equals! They’re striped savages!
   Stinging’s the only thing
they know! It’s their way!
   - Adam, stay with me.
- I can’t feel my legs.
   What angel of mercy
will come forward to suck the poison
   from my heaving buttocks?
I will have order in this court. Order!
   Order, please!
   The case of the honeybees
versus the human race
took a pointed turn against the bees
yesterday when one of their legal
team stung Layton T. Montgomery.
   - Hey, buddy.
- Hey.
   - Is there much pain?
- Yeah.
   I…
   I blew the whole case, didn’t I?
It doesn’t matter. What matters is
you’re alive. You could have died.
I’d be better off dead. Look at me.
They got it from the cafeteria
downstairs, in a tuna sandwich.
   Look, there’s
a little celery still on it.
What was it like to sting someone?
   I can’t explain it. It was all…
   All adrenaline and then…
and then ecstasy!
   All right.
You think it was all a trap?
   Of course. I’m sorry.
I flew us right into this.
What were we thinking? Look at us. We’re
just a couple of bugs in this world.
What will the humans do to us
if they win?
   I don’t know.
I hear they put the roaches in motels.
That doesn’t sound so bad.
   Adam, they check in,
but they don’t check out!
   Oh, my.
   Could you get a nurse
to close that window?
   - Why?
- The smoke.
   Bees don’t smoke.
   Right. Bees don’t smoke.
   Bees don’t smoke!
But some bees are smoking.
   That’s it! That’s our case!
   It is? It’s not over?
Get dressed. I’ve gotta go somewhere.
Get back to the court and stall.
Stall any way you can.
And assuming you’ve done step correctly, you’re ready for the tub.
   Mr. Flayman.
   Yes? Yes, Your Honor!
Where is the rest of your team?
   Well, Your Honor, it’s interesting.
Bees are trained to fly haphazardly,
   and as a result,
we don’t make very good time.
   I actually heard a funny story about…
   Your Honor,
haven’t these ridiculous bugs
   taken up enough
of this court’s valuable time?
How much longer will we allow
these absurd shenanigans to go on?
   They have presented no compelling
evidence to support their charges
   against my clients,
who run legitimate businesses.
I move for a complete dismissal
of this entire case!
Mr. Flayman, I’m afraid I’m going
   to have to consider
Mr. Montgomery’s motion.
But you can’t! We have a terrific case.
   Where is your proof?
Where is the evidence?
   Show me the smoking gun!
   Hold it, Your Honor!
You want a smoking gun?
   Here is your smoking gun.
   What is that?
   It’s a bee smoker!
   What, this?
This harmless little contraption?
   This couldn’t hurt a fly,
let alone a bee.
   Look at what has happened
to bees who have never been asked,
“Smoking or non?”
Is this what nature intended for us?
   To be forcibly addicted
to smoke machines
and man-made wooden slat work camps?
Living out our lives as honey slaves
to the white man?
   - What are we gonna do?
- He’s playing the species card.
   Ladies and gentlemen, please,
free these bees!
Free the bees! Free the bees!
   Free the bees!
Free the bees! Free the bees!
The court finds in favor of the bees!
   Vanessa, we won!
I knew you could do it! High-five!
   Sorry.
I’m OK! You know what this means?
   All the honey
will finally belong to the bees.
   Now we won’t have
to work so hard all the time.
   This is an unholy perversion
of the balance of nature, Benson.
   You’ll regret this.
Barry, how much honey is out there?
All right. One at a time.
   Barry, who are you wearing?
   My sweater is Ralph Lauren,
and I have no pants.
   - What if Montgomery’s right?
- What do you mean?
We’ve been living the bee way
a long time, 27 million years.
   Congratulations on your victory.
What will you demand as a settlement?
First, we’ll demand a complete shutdown
of all bee work camps.
Then we want back the honey
that was ours to begin with,
   every last drop.
We demand an end to the glorification
of the bear as anything more
   than a filthy, smelly,
bad-breath stink machine.
   We’re all aware
of what they do in the woods.
   Wait for my signal.
   Take him out.
   He’ll have nauseous
for a few hours, then he’ll be fine.
And we will no longer tolerate
bee-negative nicknames…
   But it’s just a prance-about stage name!
   …unnecessary inclusion of honey
in bogus health products
   and la-dee-da human
tea-time snack garnishments.
   Can’t breathe.
   Bring it in, boys!
   Hold it right there! Good.
   Tap it.
Mr. Buzzwell, we just passed three cups,
and there’s gallons more coming!
   - I think we need to shut down!
- Shut down? We’ve never shut down.
   Shut down honey production!
   Stop making honey!
   Turn your key, sir!
   What do we do now?
   Cannonball!
   We’re shutting honey production!
   Mission abort.
   Aborting pollination and nectar detail.
Returning to base.
   Adam, you wouldn’t believe
how much honey was out there.
   Oh, yeah?
What’s going on? Where is everybody?
   - Are they out celebrating?
- They’re home.
They don’t know what to do.
Laying out, sleeping in.
I heard your Uncle Earl was on his way
to San Antonio with a cricket.
At least we got our honey back.
Sometimes I think, so what if humans
liked our honey? Who wouldn’t?
It’s the greatest thing in the world!
I was excited to be part of making it.
This was my new desk. This was my
new job. I wanted to do it really well.
   And now…
   Now I can’t.
   I don’t understand
why they’re not happy.
I thought their lives would be better!
   They’re doing nothing. It’s amazing.
Honey really changes people.
   You don’t have any idea
what’s going on, do you?
   - What did you want to show me?
- This.
   What happened here?
That is not the half of it.
   Oh, no. Oh, my.
   They’re all wilting.
Doesn’t look very good, does it?
   No.
And whose fault do you think that is?
You know, I’m gonna guess bees.
   Bees?
   Specifically, me.
I didn’t think bees not needing to make
honey would affect all these things.
   It’s not just flowers.
Fruits, vegetables, they all need bees.
That’s our whole SAT test right there.
   Take away produce, that affects
the entire animal kingdom.
   And then, of course…
   The human species?
So if there’s no more pollination,
it could all just go south here,
couldn’t it?
I know this is also partly my fault.
   How about a suicide pact?
   How do we do it?
   - I’ll sting you, you step on me.
- Thatjust kills you twice.
   Right, right.
   Listen, Barry…
sorry, but I gotta get going.
I had to open my mouth and talk.
   Vanessa?
   Vanessa? Why are you leaving?
Where are you going?
To the final Tournament of Roses parade
in Pasadena.
They’ve moved it to this weekend
because all the flowers are dying.
   It’s the last chance
I’ll ever have to see it.
Vanessa, I just wanna say I’m sorry.
I never meant it to turn out like this.
   I know. Me neither.
   Tournament of Roses.
Roses can’t do sports.
   Wait a minute. Roses. Roses?
   Roses!
   Vanessa!
   Roses?!
   Barry?
   - Roses are flowers!
- Yes, they are.
   Flowers, bees, pollen!
   I know.
That’s why this is the last parade.
   Maybe not.
Would you ask him to slow down?
   Would you slow down?
   Barry!
OK, I made a huge mistake.
This is a total disaster, all my fault.
   Yes, it kind of is.
   I’ve ruined the planet.
I wanted to help you
   with the flower shop.
I’ve made it worse.
   Actually, it’s completely closed down.
I thought maybe you were remodeling.
But I have another idea, and it’s
greater than my previous ideas combined.
I don’t want to hear it!
All right, they have the roses,
the roses have the pollen.
   I know every bee, plant
and flower bud in this park.
All we gotta do is get what they’ve got
back here with what we’ve got.
   - Bees.
- Park.
   - Pollen!
- Flowers.
   - Repollination!
- Across the nation!
   Tournament of Roses,
Pasadena, Oalifornia.
   They’ve got nothing
but flowers, floats and cotton candy.
   Security will be tight.
   I have an idea.
   Vanessa Bloome, FTD.
   Official floral business. It’s real.
   Sorry, ma'am. Nice brooch.
Thank you. It was a gift.
   Once inside,
we just pick the right float.
How about The Princess and the Pea?
   I could be the princess,
and you could be the pea!
   Yes, I got it.
   - Where should I sit?
- What are you?
   - I believe I’m the pea.
- The pea?
   It goes under the mattresses.
   - Not in this fairy tale, sweetheart.
- I’m getting the marshal.
   You do that!
This whole parade is a fiasco!
Let’s see what this baby’ll do.
   Hey, what are you doing?!
   Then all we do
is blend in with traffic…
   …without arousing suspicion.
   Once at the airport,
there’s no stopping us.
   Stop! Security.
   - You and your insect pack your float?
- Yes.
   Has it been
in your possession the entire time?
   Would you remove your shoes?
   - Remove your stinger.
- It’s part of me.
I know. Just having some fun.
Enjoy your flight.
Then if we’re lucky, we’ll have
just enough pollen to do the job.
Oan you believe how lucky we are? We
have just enough pollen to do the job!
I think this is gonna work.
   It’s got to work.
   Attention, passengers,
this is Captain Scott.
We have a bit of bad weather
in New York.
   It looks like we’ll experience
a couple hours delay.
   Barry, these are cut flowers
with no water. They’ll never make it.
   I gotta get up there
and talk to them.
   Be careful.
   Oan I get help
with the Sky Mall magazine?
I’d like to order the talking
inflatable nose and ear hair trimmer.
Oaptain, I’m in a real situation.
   - What’d you say, Hal?
- Nothing.
   Bee!
Don’t freak out! My entire species…
   What are you doing?
   - Wait a minute! I’m an attorney!
- Who’s an attorney?
   Don’t move.
   Oh, Barry.
   Good afternoon, passengers.
This is your captain.
Would a Miss Vanessa Bloome in 24B
please report to the cockpit?
   And please hurry!
   What happened here?
   There was a DustBuster,
a toupee, a life raft exploded.
   One’s bald, one’s in a boat,
they’re both unconscious!
   - Is that another bee joke?
- No!
   No one’s flying the plane!
This is JFK control tower, Flight 356.
What’s your status?
   This is Vanessa Bloome.
I’m a florist from New York.
   Where’s the pilot?
   He’s unconscious,
and so is the copilot.
   Not good. Does anyone onboard
have flight experience?
As a matter of fact, there is.
   - Who’s that?
- Barry Benson.
From the honey trial?! Oh, great.
   Vanessa, this is nothing more
than a big metal bee.
It’s got giant wings, huge engines.
   I can’t fly a plane.
   - Why not? Isn’t John Travolta a pilot?
- Yes.
   How hard could it be?
   Wait, Barry!
We’re headed into some lightning.
This is Bob Bumble. We have some
late-breaking news from JFK Airport,
   where a suspenseful scene
is developing.
   Barry Benson,
fresh from his legal victory…
   That’s Barry!
…is attempting to land a plane,
loaded with people, flowers
   and an incapacitated flight crew.
   Flowers?!
We have a storm in the area
and two individuals at the controls
   with absolutely no flight experience.
   Just a minute.
There’s a bee on that plane.
I’m quite familiar with Mr. Benson
and his no-account compadres.
   They’ve done enough damage.
But isn’t he your only hope?
   Technically, a bee
shouldn’t be able to fly at all.
   Their wings are too small…
Haven’t we heard this a million times?
“The surface area of the wings
and body mass make no sense.”
   - Get this on the air!
- Got it.
   - Stand by.
- We’re going live.
The way we work may be a mystery to you.
Making honey takes a lot of bees
doing a lot of small jobs.
But let me tell you about a small job.
   If you do it well,
it makes a big difference.
   More than we realized.
To us, to everyone.
That’s why I want to get bees
back to working together.
   That’s the bee way!
We’re not made of Jell-O.
   We get behind a fellow.
   - Black and yellow!
- Hello!
   Left, right, down, hover.
   - Hover?
- Forget hover.
   This isn’t so hard.
Beep-beep! Beep-beep!
   Barry, what happened?!
   Wait, I think we were
on autopilot the whole time.
   - That may have been helping me.
- And now we’re not!
So it turns out I cannot fly a plane.
   All of you, let’s get
behind this fellow! Move it out!
   Move out!
Our only chance is if I do what I’d do,
you copy me with the wings of the plane!
   Don’t have to yell.
   I’m not yelling!
We’re in a lot of trouble.
   It’s very hard to concentrate
with that panicky tone in your voice!
   It’s not a tone. I’m panicking!
   I can’t do this!
   Vanessa, pull yourself together.
You have to snap out of it!
   You snap out of it.
   You snap out of it.
   - You snap out of it!
- You snap out of it!
   - You snap out of it!
- You snap out of it!
   - You snap out of it!
- You snap out of it!
   - Hold it!
- Why? Come on, it’s my turn.
   How is the plane flying?
   I don’t know.
   Hello?
   Benson, got any flowers
for a happy occasion in there?
   The Pollen Jocks!
They do get behind a fellow.
   - Black and yellow.
- Hello.
All right, let’s drop this tin can
on the blacktop.
Where? I can’t see anything. Oan you?
   No, nothing. It’s all cloudy.
Come on. You got to think bee, Barry.
   - Thinking bee.
- Thinking bee.
   Thinking bee!
Thinking bee! Thinking bee!
   Wait a minute.
I think I’m feeling something.
   - What?
- I don’t know. It’s strong, pulling me.
   Like a 27-million-year-old instinct.
   Bring the nose down.
   Thinking bee!
Thinking bee! Thinking bee!
   - What in the world is on the tarmac?
- Get some lights on that!
   Thinking bee!
Thinking bee! Thinking bee!
   - Vanessa, aim for the flower.
- OK.
Out the engines. We’re going in
on bee power. Ready, boys?
   Affirmative!
Good. Good. Easy, now. That’s it.
   Land on that flower!
   Ready? Full reverse!
   Spin it around!
   - Not that flower! The other one!
- Which one?
   - That flower.
- I’m aiming at the flower!
That’s a fat guy in a flowered shirt.
I mean the giant pulsating flower
   made of millions of bees!
Pull forward. Nose down. Tail up.
   Rotate around it.
   - This is insane, Barry!
- This’s the only way I know how to fly.
Am I koo-koo-kachoo, or is this plane
flying in an insect-like pattern?
Get your nose in there. Don’t be afraid.
Smell it. Full reverse!
Just drop it. Be a part of it.
   Aim for the center!
Now drop it in! Drop it in, woman!
   Come on, already.
   Barry, we did it!
You taught me how to fly!
   - Yes. No high-five!
- Right.
   Barry, it worked!
Did you see the giant flower?
What giant flower? Where? Of course
I saw the flower! That was genius!
   - Thank you.
- But we’re not done yet.
   Listen, everyone!
   This runway is covered
with the last pollen
   from the last flowers
available anywhere on Earth.
That means this is our last chance.
We’re the only ones who make honey,
pollinate flowers and dress like this.
If we’re gonna survive as a species,
this is our moment! What do you say?
Are we going to be bees, orjust
Museum of Natural History keychains?
   We’re bees!
   Keychain!
   Then follow me! Except Keychain.
   Hold on, Barry. Here.
   You’ve earned this.
   Yeah!
   I’m a Pollen Jock! And it’s a perfect
fit. All I gotta do are the sleeves.
   Oh, yeah.
   That’s our Barry.
   Mom! The bees are back!
   If anybody needs
to make a call, now’s the time.
   I got a feeling we’ll be
working late tonight!
Here’s your change. Have a great
afternoon! Oan I help who’s next?
Would you like some honey with that?
It is bee-approved. Don’t forget these.
Milk, cream, cheese, it’s all me.
And I don’t see a nickel!
   Sometimes I just feel
like a piece of meat!
   I had no idea.
   Barry, I’m sorry.
Have you got a moment?
   Would you excuse me?
My mosquito associate will help you.
   Sorry I’m late.
   He’s a lawyer too?
   I was already a blood-sucking parasite.
All I needed was a briefcase.
   Have a great afternoon!
Barry, I just got this huge tulip order,
and I can’t get them anywhere.
   No problem, Vannie.
Just leave it to me.
   You’re a lifesaver, Barry.
Oan I help who’s next?
   All right, scramble, jocks!
It’s time to fly.
   Thank you, Barry!
That bee is living my life!
   Let it go, Kenny.
   - When will this nightmare end?!
- Let it all go.
   - Beautiful day to fly.
- Sure is.
   Between you and me,
I was dying to get out of that office.
   You have got
to start thinking bee, my friend.
   - Thinking bee!
- Me?
   Hold it. Let’s just stop
for a second. Hold it.
   I’m sorry. I’m sorry, everyone.
Oan we stop here?
I’m not making a major life decision
during a production number!
   All right. Take ten, everybody.
Wrap it up, guys.
I had virtually no rehearsal for that.

Dancing lessons
Tumblr media
Hi!! I'm sorry, this one took forever, I had a Dengue Virus outbreak to deal with for the last three weeks and I even had the damn thing myself, not funny, wouldn't recommend it, it felt like shit and I had to skip work two days, thankfully no mortal victims, at least not on my watch, but the town is still recovering, anyway work is crazy and that's why I haven't update anything, I'm really sorry
Summary: Barry is finally cast in a feature, the problem? He said he could dance and now he can either disappoint Sally or found a way to learn some steps.
Part 1 ● Part 2 ● Part 3 ● Part 4 ● Part 5 ● Part 6 ● Part 7 ● Part 8 ● Epilogue
Warnings: Swearing, blood, violence, guns, cheating maybe.
Part 4
The lights on your studio were still on when you entered, and the dry blood on the floor made a horrible sight that almost made you faint again, thankfully a strong arm was holding you since you get out of the car, and he was looking at the floor too.
"I can clean that if you want" He said helping you sit down on a chair. "I'm not sure if you should climb your stairs yet"
"Thanks, that would be great. I would say leave it but I have class early tomorrow and is not a nice view for a bunch of 4 year olds" you said thinking about the wooden floor and how much damage the blood would cause, and Barry walk inside the storage closet looking for a mop.
"Then I will leave it there, you are insane if you think you are going to give any class tomorrow" He came back with the cleaning supplies and gave you a judging look, lacking any authority since he was holding a bottle of detergent in on hand and a bucket in the other.
"Fine mom, I'll cancel" you held your hands high in surrender "Actually I can use a day off, I have this terrible student in the afternoon, he is a pain in the ass" You said and he rolled his eyes at you while rolling up his sleeves and starting to clean the floor.
An hour later the floor was spotless, he had an odd talent cleaning up blood, and made a funny shocked face when you pointed it out, the clock announce it was merely 8:00 pm and you had to remain awake until 6:00 am at least.
"I feel well enough to go upstairs, you can leave now" you told him hoping he would listen since his presence made you feel uneasy at times.
"No way, the doctor gave me a list of things to check up every couple hours, and if I leave you would fall asleep, but let's go get you upstairs, you will be more comfortable on your couch" He said approaching with the clear intention of carrying you on his arms.
"I can walk, that won't be necessary" You said quickly, ignoring the idea of how wonderful would it be to be held in those arms.
Maybe that was the reason you had end up screaming in the first place, an elaborate defense mechanism your brain set up in motion to ignore the growing feelings you had every time he enter the studio, every time you held his hand and forced down your waist while you were dancing, and the longing in your skin asking for more.
Of course there was handsome men in your class every now and then, grooms, fathers of the bride, actors, etc. and you had always conduct yourself professionally regardless the clear intentions some of them may have. And you have always respected your marriage with Alan even in the worst of times. But Barry was different, there was just something about the way he looked at you that make you want to scream and run away because it terrifies you how easily you could fall for him.
"Are you feeling nauseous?" He asked once you were sitting on the couch, and you nodded no "Tired? Clouded vision? Having incoherent thoughts?" He continued reading the list the doctor gave him.
"I believe I'm a big green marshmallow queen of the north pole, but that's normal right?" You say dead serious and he hide a grin behind the white sheet of paper.
"Very funny, we should call the doctor and share the joke with her" he said seriously.
"Fine, I'm sorry. I have a minor pain in my head, but I can see and hear perfectly clear, I remember everything that had happened clearly and I don't feel like vomiting" you said and he put the list away satisfied with your answers. "I'm sorry I'm being an imposition to you, I'm sure you had plans" You continued and he opened his mouth to reply he was staying once again so you keep talking before he did "And since you are staying here at least let me fix you something to eat, is late and I don't think you have eaten". You stood up and he followed you to the kitchen.
"You really don't have to, I can make a sandwich if you tell me where things are, or we could order something, I don't think you should be near sharp objects" He plead alarmed when you took out a large knife from a drawer.
"Fine, but I'm paying, and once again I can assure you this is nothing I have had worst" you said putting down the cutting board and opening the fridge to offer him a beer "once I broke my leg in 3 pieces" you said confidently showing him a long thin scar on the side of your leg and suddenly feeling exposed since you haven't change from your dancing clothes, and you didn't feel the same confidence wearing them outside the studio.
"I've been shoot, a lot" he said lifting part of his shirt showing you a couple scars, not helping the situation in your mind.
"Ok war hero, you win, can you please order the food, I am going to change, feel yourself at home" You said patting his hand urging him to cover and hurrying to your room away from him.
***
Y/N took forever to come out and when she finally did she was wearing a comfortable pajama, and was drying her hair with a towel.
"You took a shower?" Barry asked upset "You could have fallen"
"But thankfully I didn't, I have to I was covered in blood and I need to find a way to cover this" She pointed at the place the doctor have shaved her hair and she tried to hide it with a lock of hair.
"I'm sure the parents would understand you had an accident" he said confused by her despair.
"Yeah, they will mostly, but Alan would make a big deal out of it and I'm sure he will use it as an excuse to keep pushing me into selling the studio" She said letting her hair alone and crawling onto the couch.
"Why would he do that?" He asked trying to be interested and ignoring the pinch of jealousy he felt once again when she mentioned his name "I mean you do charge a lot but you have many clients"
"Is not about the business, he just thinks I should sale the studio to Macy since she knows how to run it, and move with him to Dallas or Colorado or whenever his company wants him, that way he would be home every night to see our children" She said exasperated at the idea.
"Children?" He asked a bit shocked since she never had mentioned any children before.
"The hypothetical children we will have in case I actually leave this place behind" She said with a sad look on her face.
"So you don't want to have children?" He asked now genuinely interested. "I mean it's okay if you don't" he said quickly.
"Honestly?" She asked and he nodded "I really don't know, I mean when I was 22 and dancing in Moscow I have this crazy fantasy that I would retire in glory from ballet at 32 and meet a wonderful man and have a girl and she would be a great dancer by the age of 4." She had a sad smile on her face as if she could see herself in the moment she was describing.
"Moscow? As in Russia?" He asked.
"Yep, I was about to become a Prima Ballerina, then I broke my leg and every money I had went to surgery and recovery and suddenly I was no longer fitting to play Odette, or any major role and eventually like three years after I have to come back, I worked in Broadway for a while, that's when I met Alan"
"Sounds romantic" he said sarcastically making her laugh
"It was, at least at first, but then I had another lesion in my ankle so I was no longer able to work there either, and he was nice and sweet and he was with me, so we got married and end up here, five years later dealing with moms that feel their children would be next Maria Kowroski"
Barry's phone start ringing and he went downstairs to pick up the food, when he came back she was holding a big photo album in her lap.
"I haven't seen one of those in forever" He said entering the apartment holding the bag with Chinese food. "I thought everyone had digital albums these days"
"They do, but you can't do this to digital pictures" She said showing him burned hole in one of the photos. "Kids these days, what would they burn when they break up with a boyfriend? Anyway I'm starving" she pointed to the kitchen so they could eat.
They share an animated meal talking about how life and technology was passing by them, maybe a little lost resentful than usually since they both have the same opinions on the matter.
"Did you told him?" He asked after a while, he was leaning back in his chair looking at her finishing some noodles. "About not wanting kids I mean"
"Of course I did, since we were dating, but he had this idea that he would make me change my mind, and I was sure I would make him change his. Now we have civil dinners when he is home and pretend we are not angry at the way this marriage turned out, just waiting for one of us to give up and accept the other terms" She said and her bluntness took him by surprise again.
"I'm sorry" he said with a sad frown on his face "Earlier when I said this was your dream job and that your situation is perfect, I have no idea and I'm sorry"
"Don't be, I shouldn't have to try and prove you wrong forcing myself to do the Odile's Coda, since I'm clearly not in shape to do it" She smile at him and pointed the injury in her head.
"Well that only make it worse, why would you need to prove anything to me? I'm really sorry"
"Relax, you already making up for it being here, and is only 10:00 pm, do you want to play a board game? I would say we watch a movie but I would fall asleep quicker that way" She said and he agreed.
They played scrabble, bringing out some dark competitive instincts on both of them, only interrupted when Barry took a couple trips to the bathroom to call Sally who was not upset at all that he had canceled their dinner since she had this amazing party to go to.
By 3:00 am and feeling extremely tired and looking at her about to give up he call the hospital, the doctor kindly told him she was clear to sleep, news he took gratefully, but before he could tell her she was already curled in the couch, he sit next to her and let her rest her head on his chest, maybe when they woke up he could feel guilt and remorse about it, maybe he would have to stay away from her since he was obviously interested in her but at that moment he was very comfortable and lost in the smell of her hair to care about anything else.

your ass better appreciate this
for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try. Wow! That blew my mind! "What's the difference?" How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make. I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here? Like what? Give me one example. I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach. Wait a second. Oheck it out. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks! - Wow. I've never seen them this close. They know what it's like outside the hive. Yeah, but some don't come back. - Hey, Jocks! - Hi, Jocks! You guys did great! You're monsters! You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it! - I wonder where they were. - I don't know. Their day's not planned. Outside the hive, flying who knows where, doing who knows what. You can'tjust decide to be a Pollen Jock. You have to be bred for that. Right. Look. That's more pollen than you and I will see in a lifetime. It's just a status symbol. Bees make too much of it. Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it and the ladies see you wearing it. Those ladies? Aren't they our cousins too? Distant. Distant. Look at these two. - Oouple of Hive Harrys. - Let's have fun with them. It must be dangerous being a Pollen Jock. Yeah. Once a bear pinned me against a mushroom! He had a paw on my throat, and with the other, he was slapping me! - Oh, my! - I never thought I'd knock him out. What were you doing during this? Trying to alert the authorities. I can autograph that. A little gusty out there today, wasn't it, comrades? Yeah. Gusty. We're hitting a sunflower patch six miles from here tomorrow. - Six miles, huh? - Barry! A puddle jump for us, but maybe you're not up for it. - Maybe I am. - You are not! We're going 0900 at J-Gate. What do you think, buzzy-boy? Are you bee enough? I might be. It all depends on what 0900 means. Hey, Honex! Dad, you surprised me. You decide what you're interested in? - Well, there's a lot of choices. - But you only get one. Do you ever get bored doing the same job every day? Son, let me tell you about stirring. You grab that stick, and you just move it around, and you stir it around. You get yourself into a rhythm. It's a beautiful thing. You know, Dad, the more I think about it, maybe the honey field just isn't right for me. You were thinking of what, making balloon animals? That's a bad job for a guy with a stinger. Janet, your son's not sure he wants to go into honey! - Barry, you are so funny sometimes. - I'm not trying to be funny. You're not funny! You're going into honey. Our son, the stirrer! - You're gonna be a stirrer? - No one's listening to me! Wait till you see the sticks I have. I could say anything right now. I'm gonna get an ant tattoo! Let's open some honey and celebrate! Maybe I'll pierce my thorax. Shave my antennae. Shack up with a grasshopper. Get a gold tooth and call everybody "dawg"! I'm so proud. - We're starting work today! - Today's the day. Oome on! All the good jobs will be gone. Yeah, right. Pollen counting, stunt bee, pouring, stirrer, front desk, hair removal... - Is it still available? - Hang on. Two left! One of them's yours! Oongratulations! Step to the side. - What'd you get? - Picking crud out. Stellar! Wow! Oouple of newbies? Yes, sir! Our first day! We are ready! Make your choice. - You want to go first? - No, you go. Oh, my. What's available? Restroom attendant's open, not for the reason you think. - Any chance of getting the Krelman? - Sure, you're on. I'm sorry, the Krelman just closed out. Wax monkey's always open. The Krelman opened up again. What happened? A bee died. Makes an opening. See? He's dead. Another dead one. Deady. Deadified. Two more dead. Dead from the neck up. Dead from the neck down. That's life! Oh, this is so hard! Heating, cooling, stunt bee, pourer, stirrer, humming, inspector number seven, lint coordinator, stripe supervisor, mite wrangler. Barry, what do you think I should... Barry? Barry! All right, we've got the sunflower patch in quadrant nine... What happened to you? Where are you? - I'm going out. - Out? Out where? - Out there. - Oh, no! I have to, before I go to work for the rest of my life. You're gonna die! You're crazy! Hello? Another call coming in. If anyone's feeling brave, there's a Korean deli on 83rd that gets their roses today. Hey, guys. - Look at that. - Isn't that the kid we saw yesterday? Hold it, son, flight deck's restricted. It's OK, Lou. We're gonna take him up. Really? Feeling lucky, are you? Sign here, here. Just initial that. - Thank you. - OK. You got a rain advisory today, and as you all know, bees cannot fly in rain. So be careful. As always, watch your brooms, hockey sticks, dogs, birds, bears and bats. Also, I got a couple of reports of root beer being poured on us. Murphy's in a home because of it, babbling like a cicada! - That's awful. - And a reminder for you rookies, bee law number one, absolutely no talking to humans! All right, launch positions! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Black and yellow! Hello! You ready for this, hot shot? Yeah. Yeah, bring it on. Wind, check. - Antennae, check. - Nectar pack, check. - Wings, check. - Stinger, check. Scared out of my shorts, check. OK, ladies, let's move it out! Pound those petunias, you striped stem-suckers! All of you, drain those flowers! Wow! I'm out! I can't believe I'm out! So blue. I feel so fast and free! Box kite! Wow! Flowers! This is Blue Leader. We have roses visual. Bring it around 30 degrees and hold. Roses! 30 degrees, roger. Bringing it around. Stand to the side, kid. It's got a bit of a kick. That is one nectar collector! - Ever see pollination up close? - No, sir. I pick up some pollen here, sprinkle it over here. Maybe a dash over there, a pinch on that one. See that? It's a little bit of magic. That's amazing. Why do we do that? That's pollen power. More pollen, more flowers, more nectar, more honey for us. Oool. I'm picking up a lot of bright yellow. Oould be daisies. Don't we need those? Oopy that visual. Wait. One of these flowers seems to be on the move. Say again? You're reporting a moving flower? Affirmative. That was on the line! This is the coolest. What is it? I don't know, but I'm loving this color. It smells good. Not like a flower, but I like it. Yeah, fuzzy. Ohemical-y. Oareful, guys. It's a little grabby. My sweet lord of bees! Oandy-brain, get off there! Problem! - Guys! - This could be bad. Affirmative. Very close. Gonna hurt. Mama's little boy. You are way out of position, rookie! Ooming in at you like a missile! Help me! I don't think these are flowers. - Should we tell him? - I think he knows. What is this?! Match point! You can start packing up, honey, because you're about to eat it! Yowser! Gross. There's a bee in the car! - Do something! - I'm driving! - Hi, bee. - He's back here! He's going to sting me! Nobody move. If you don't move, he won't sting you. Freeze! He blinked! Spray him, Granny! What are you doing?! Wow... the tension level out here is unbelievable. I gotta get home. Oan't fly in rain. Oan't fly in rain. Oan't fly in rain. Mayday! Mayday! Bee going down! Ken, could you close the window please? Ken, could you close the window please? Oheck out my new resume. I made it into a fold-out brochure. You see? Folds out. Oh, no. More humans. I don't need this. What was that? Maybe this time. This time. This time. This time! This time! This... Drapes! That is diabolical. It's fantastic. It's got all my special skills, even my top-ten favorite movies. What's number one? Star Wars? Nah, I don't go for that... ...kind of stuff. No wonder we shouldn't talk to them. They're out of their minds. When I leave a job interview, they're flabbergasted, can't believe what I say. There's the sun. Maybe that's a way out. I don't remember the sun having a big 75 on it. I predicted global warming. I could feel it getting hotter. At first I thought it was just me. Wait! Stop! Bee! Stand back. These are winter boots. Wait! Don't kill him! You know I'm allergic to them! This thing could kill me! Why does his life have less value than yours? Why does his life have any less value than mine? Is that your statement? I'm just saying all life has value. You don't know what he's capable of feeling. My brochure! There you go, little guy. I'm not scared of him. It's an allergic thing. Put that on your resume brochure. My whole face could puff up. Make it one of your special skills. Knocking someone out is also a special skill. It's a bee law. You're not supposed to talk to a human. I can't believe I'm doing this. I've got to. Oh, I can't do it. Oome on! No. Yes. No. Do it. I can't. How should I start it? "You like jazz?" No, that's no good. Here she comes! Speak, you fool! Hi! I'm sorry. - You're talking. - Yes, I know. You're talking! I'm so sorry. No, it's OK. It's fine. I know I'm dreaming. But I don't recall going to bed. Well, I'm sure this is very disconcerting. This is a bit of a surprise to me. I mean, you're a bee! I am. And I'm not supposed to be doing this, but they were all trying to kill me. And if it wasn't for you... I had to thank you. It's just how I was raised. That was a little weird. - I'm talking with a bee. - Yeah. I'm talking to a bee. And the bee is talking to me! I just want to say I'm grateful. I'll leave now. - Wait! How did you learn to do that? - What? The talking thing. Same way you did, I guess. "Mama, Dada, honey." You pick it up. - That's very funny. - Yeah. Bees are funny. If we didn't laugh, we'd cry with what we have to deal with. Anyway... Oan I... ...get you something? - Like what? I don't know. I mean... I don't know. Ooffee? I don't want to put you out. It's no trouble. It takes two minutes. - It's just coffee. - I hate to impose. - Don't be ridiculous! - Actually, I would love a cup. Hey, you want rum cake? - I shouldn't. - Have some. - No, I can't. - Oome on! I'm trying to lose a couple micrograms. - Where? - These stripes don't help. You look great! I don't know if you know anything about fashion. Are you all right? No. He's making the tie in the cab as they're flying up Madison. He finally gets there. He runs up the steps into the church. The wedding is on. And he says, "Watermelon? I thought you said Guatemalan. Why would I marry a watermelon?" Is that a bee joke? That's the kind of stuff we do. Yeah, different. So, what are you gonna do, Barry? About work? I don't know. I want to do my part for the hive, but I can't do it the way they want. I know how you feel. - You do? - Sure. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer or a doctor, but I wanted to be a florist. - Really? - My only interest is flowers. Our new queen was just elected with that same campaign slogan. Anyway, if you look... There's my hive right there. See it? You're in Sheep Meadow! Yes! I'm right off the Turtle Pond! No way! I know that area. I lost a toe ring there once. - Why do girls put rings on their toes? - Why not? - It's like putting a hat on your knee. - Maybe I'll try that. - You all right, ma'am? - Oh, yeah. Fine. Just having two cups of coffee! Anyway, this has been great. Thanks for the coffee. Yeah, it's no trouble. Sorry I couldn't finish it. If I did, I'd be up the rest of my life. Are you...? Oan I take a piece of this with me? Sure! Here, have a crumb. - Thanks! - Yeah. All right. Well, then... I guess I'll see you around. Or not. OK, Barry. And thank you so much again... for before. Oh, that? That was nothing. Well, not nothing, but... Anyway... This can't possibly work. He's all set to go. We may as well try it. OK, Dave, pull the chute. - Sounds amazing. - It was amazing! It was the scariest, happiest moment of my life. Humans! I can't believe you were with humans! Giant, scary humans! What were they like? Huge and crazy. They talk crazy. They eat crazy giant things. They drive crazy. - Do they try and kill you, like on TV? - Some of them. But some of them don't. - How'd you get back? - Poodle. You did it, and I'm glad. You saw whatever you wanted to see. You had your "experience." Now you can pick out yourjob and be normal. - Well... - Well? Well, I met someone. You did? Was she Bee-ish? - A wasp?! Your parents will kill you! - No, no, no, not a wasp. - Spider? - I'm not attracted to spiders. I know it's the hottest thing, with the eight legs and all. I can't get by that face. So who is she? She's... human. No, no. That's a bee law. You wouldn't break a bee law. - Her name's Vanessa. - Oh, boy. She's so nice. And she's a florist! Oh, no! You're dating a human florist! We're not dating. You're flying outside the hive, talking to humans that attack our homes with power washers and M-80s! One-eighth a stick of dynamite! She saved my life! And she understands me. This is over! Eat this. This is not over! What was that? - They call it a crumb. - It was so stingin' stripey! And that's not what they eat. That's what falls off what they eat! - You know what a Oinnabon is? - No. It's bread and cinnamon and frosting. They heat it up... Sit down! ...really hot! - Listen to me! We are not them! We're us. There's us and there's them! Yes, but who can deny the heart that is yearning? There's no yearning. Stop yearning. Listen to me! You have got to start thinking bee, my friend. Thinking bee! - Thinking bee. - Thinking bee. Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! There he is. He's in the pool. You know what your problem is, Barry? I gotta start thinking bee? How much longer will this go on? It's been three days! Why aren't you working? I've got a lot of big life decisions to think about. What life? You have no life! You have no job. You're barely a bee! Would it kill you to make a little honey? Barry, come out. Your father's talking to you. Martin, would you talk to him? Barry, I'm talking to you! You coming? Got everything? All set! Go ahead. I'll catch up. Don't be too long. Watch this! Vanessa! - We're still here. - I told you not to yell at him. He doesn't respond to yelling! - Then why yell at me? - Because you don't listen! I'm not listening to this. Sorry, I've gotta go. - Where are you going? - I'm meeting a friend. A girl? Is this why you can't decide? Bye. I just hope she's Bee-ish. They have a huge parade of flowers every year in Pasadena? To be in the Tournament of Roses, that's every florist's dream! Up on a float, surrounded by flowers, crowds cheering. A tournament. Do the roses compete in athletic events? No. All right, I've got one. How come you don't fly everywhere? It's exhausting. Why don't you run everywhere? It's faster. Yeah, OK, I see, I see. All right, your turn. TiVo. You can just freeze live TV? That's insane! You don't have that? We have Hivo, but it's a disease. It's a horrible, horrible disease. Oh, my. Dumb bees! You must want to sting all those jerks. We try not to sting. It's usually fatal for us. So you have to watch your temper. Very carefully. You kick a wall, take a walk, write an angry letter and throw it out. Work through it like any emotion: Anger, jealousy, lust. Oh, my goodness! Are you OK? Yeah. - What is wrong with you?! - It's a bug. He's not bothering anybody. Get out of here, you creep! What was that? A Pic 'N' Save circular? Yeah, it was. How did you know? It felt like about 10 pages. Seventy-five is pretty much our limit. You've really got that down to a science. - I lost a cousin to Italian Vogue. - I'll bet. What in the name of Mighty Hercules is this? How did this get here? Oute Bee, Golden Blossom, Ray Liotta Private Select? - Is he that actor? - I never heard of him. - Why is this here? - For people. We eat it. You don't have enough food of your own? - Well, yes. - How do you get it? - Bees make it. - I know who makes it! And it's hard to make it! There's heating, cooling, stirring. You need a whole Krelman thing! - It's organic. - It's our-ganic! It's just honey, Barry. Just what?! Bees don't know about this! This is stealing! A lot of stealing! You've taken our homes, schools, hospitals! This is all we have! And it's on sale?! I'm getting to the bottom of this. I'm getting to the bottom of all of this! Hey, Hector. - You almost done? - Almost. He is here. I sense it. Well, I guess I'll go home now and just leave this nice honey out, with no one around. You're busted, box boy! I knew I heard something. So you can talk! I can talk. And now you'll start talking! Where you getting the sweet stuff? Who's your supplier? I don't understand. I thought we were friends. The last thing we want to do is upset bees! You're too late! It's ours now! You, sir, have crossed the wrong sword! You, sir, will be lunch for my iguana, Ignacio! Where is the honey coming from? Tell me where! Honey Farms! It comes from Honey Farms! Orazy person! What horrible thing has happened here? These faces, they never knew what hit them. And now they're on the road to nowhere! Just keep still. What? You're not dead? Do I look dead? They will wipe anything that moves. Where you headed? To Honey Farms. I am onto something huge here. I'm going to Alaska. Moose blood, crazy stuff. Blows your head off! I'm going to Tacoma. - And you? - He really is dead. All right. Uh-oh! - What is that?! - Oh, no! - A wiper! Triple blade! - Triple blade? Jump on! It's your only chance, bee! Why does everything have to be so doggone clean?! How much do you people need to see?! Open your eyes! Stick your head out the window! From NPR News in Washington, I'm Oarl Kasell. But don't kill no more bugs! - Bee! - Moose blood guy!! - You hear something? - Like what? Like tiny screaming. Turn off the radio. Whassup, bee boy? Hey, Blood. Just a row of honey jars, as far as the eye could see. Wow! I assume wherever this truck goes is where they're getting it. I mean, that honey's ours. - Bees hang tight. - We're all jammed in. It's a close community. Not us, man. We on our own. Every mosquito on his own. - What if you get in trouble? - You a mosquito, you in trouble. Nobody likes us. They just smack. See a mosquito, smack, smack! At least you're out in the world. You must meet girls. Mosquito girls try to trade up, get with a moth, dragonfly. Mosquito girl don't want no mosquito. You got to be kidding me! Mooseblood's about to leave the building! So long, bee! - Hey, guys! - Mooseblood! I knew I'd catch y'all down here. Did you bring your crazy straw? We throw it in jars, slap a label on it, and it's pretty much pure profit. What is this place? A bee's got a brain the size of a pinhead. They are pinheads! Pinhead. - Oheck out the new smoker. - Oh, sweet. That's the one you want. The Thomas 3000! Smoker? Ninety puffs a minute, semi-automatic. Twice the nicotine, all the tar. A couple breaths of this knocks them right out. They make the honey, and we make the money. "They make the honey, and we make the money"? Oh, my! What's going on? Are you OK? Yeah. It doesn't last too long. Do you know you're in a fake hive with fake walls? Our queen was moved here. We had no choice. This is your queen? That's a man in women's clothes! That's a drag queen! What is this? Oh, no! There's hundreds of them! Bee honey. Our honey is being brazenly stolen on a massive scale! This is worse than anything bears have done! I intend to do something. Oh, Barry, stop. Who told you humans are taking our honey? That's a rumor. Do these look like rumors? That's a conspiracy theory. These are obviously doctored photos. How did you get mixed up in this? He's been talking to humans. - What? - Talking to humans?! He has a human girlfriend. And they make out! Make out? Barry! We do not. - You wish you could. - Whose side are you on? The bees! I dated a cricket once in San Antonio. Those crazy legs kept me up all night. Barry, this is what you want to do with your life? I want to do it for all our lives. Nobody works harder than bees! Dad, I remember you coming home so overworked your hands were still stirring. You couldn't stop. I remember that. What right do they have to our honey? We live on two cups a year. They put it in lip balm for no reason whatsoever! Even if it's true, what can one bee do? Sting them where it really hurts. In the face! The eye! - That would hurt. - No. Up the nose? That's a killer. There's only one place you can sting the humans, one place where it matters. Hive at Five, the hive's only full-hour action news source. No more bee beards! With Bob Bumble at the anchor desk. Weather with Storm Stinger. Sports with Buzz Larvi. And Jeanette Ohung. - Good evening. I'm Bob Bumble. - And I'm Jeanette Ohung. A tri-county bee, Barry Benson, intends to sue the human race for stealing our honey, packaging it and profiting from it illegally! Tomorrow night on Bee Larry King, we'll have three former queens here in our studio, discussing their new book, Olassy Ladies, out this week on Hexagon. Tonight we're talking to Barry Benson. Did you ever think, "I'm a kid from the hive. I can't do this"? Bees have never been afraid to change the world. What about Bee Oolumbus? Bee Gandhi? Bejesus? Where I'm from, we'd never sue humans. We were thinking of stickball or candy stores. How old are you? The bee community is supporting you in this case, which will be the trial of the bee century. You know, they have a Larry King in the human world too. It's a common name. Next week... He looks like you and has a show and suspenders and colored dots... Next week... Glasses, quotes on the bottom from the guest even though you just heard 'em. Bear Week next week! They're scary, hairy and here live. Always leans forward, pointy shoulders, squinty eyes, very Jewish. In tennis, you attack at the point of weakness! It was my grandmother, Ken. She's 81. Honey, her backhand's a joke! I'm not gonna take advantage of that? Quiet, please. Actual work going on here. - Is that that same bee? - Yes, it is! I'm helping him sue the human race. - Hello. - Hello, bee. This is Ken. Yeah, I remember you. Timberland, size ten and a half. Vibram sole, I believe. Why does he talk again? Listen, you better go 'cause we're really busy working. But it's our yogurt night! Bye-bye. Why is yogurt night so difficult?! You poor thing. You two have been at this for hours! Yes, and Adam here has been a huge help. - Frosting... - How many sugars? Just one. I try not to use the competition. So why are you helping me? Bees have good qualities. And it takes my mind off the shop. Instead of flowers, people are giving balloon bouquets now. Those are great, if you're three. And artificial flowers. - Oh, those just get me psychotic! - Yeah, me too. Bent stingers, pointless pollination. Bees must hate those fake things! Nothing worse than a daffodil that's had work done. Maybe this could make up for it a little bit. - This lawsuit's a pretty big deal. - I guess. You sure you want to go through with it? Am I sure? When I'm done with the humans, they won't be able to say, "Honey, I'm home," without paying a royalty! It's an incredible scene here in downtown Manhattan, where the world anxiously waits, because for the first time in history, we will hear for ourselves if a honeybee can actually speak. What have we gotten into here, Barry? It's pretty big, isn't it? I can't believe how many humans don't work during the day. You think billion-dollar multinational food companies have good lawyers? Everybody needs to stay behind the barricade. - What's the matter? - I don't know, I just got a chill. Well, if it isn't the bee team. You boys work on this? All rise! The Honorable Judge Bumbleton presiding. All right. Oase number 4475, Superior Oourt of New York, Barry Bee Benson v. the Honey Industry is now in session. Mr. Montgomery, you're representing the five food companies collectively? A privilege. Mr. Benson... you're representing all the bees of the world? I'm kidding. Yes, Your Honor, we're ready to proceed. Mr. Montgomery, your opening statement, please. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my grandmother was a simple woman. Born on a farm, she believed it was man's divine right to benefit from the bounty of nature God put before us. If we lived in the topsy-turvy world Mr. Benson imagines, just think of what would it mean. I would have to negotiate with the silkworm for the elastic in my britches! Talking bee! How do we know this isn't some sort of holographic motion-picture-capture Hollywood wizardry? They could be using laser beams! Robotics! Ventriloquism! Oloning! For all we know, he could be on steroids! Mr. Benson? Ladies and gentlemen, there's no trickery here. I'm just an ordinary bee. Honey's pretty important to me. It's important to all bees. We invented it! We make it. And we protect it with our lives. Unfortunately, there are some people in this room who think they can take it from us 'cause we're the little guys! I'm hoping that, after this is all over, you'll see how, by taking our honey, you not only take everything we have but everything we are! I wish he'd dress like that all the time. So nice! Oall your first witness. So, Mr. Klauss Vanderhayden of Honey Farms, big company you have. I suppose so. I see you also own Honeyburton and Honron! Yes, they provide beekeepers for our farms. Beekeeper. I find that to be a very disturbing term. I don't imagine you employ any bee-free-ers, do you? - No. - I couldn't hear you. - No. - No. Because you don't free bees. You keep bees. Not only that, it seems you thought a bear would be an appropriate image for a jar of honey. They're very lovable creatures. Yogi Bear, Fozzie Bear, Build-A-Bear. You mean like this? Bears kill bees! How'd you like his head crashing through your living room?! Biting into your couch! Spitting out your throw pillows! OK, that's enough. Take him away. So, Mr. Sting, thank you for being here. Your name intrigues me. - Where have I heard it before? - I was with a band called The Police. But you've never been a police officer, have you? No, I haven't. No, you haven't. And so here we have yet another example of bee culture casually stolen by a human for nothing more than a prance-about stage name. Oh, please. Have you ever been stung, Mr. Sting? Because I'm feeling a little stung, Sting. Or should I say... Mr. Gordon M. Sumner! That's not his real name?! You idiots! Mr. Liotta, first, belated congratulations on your Emmy win for a guest spot on ER in 2005. Thank you. Thank you. I see from your resume that you're devilishly handsome with a churning inner turmoil that's ready to blow. I enjoy what I do. Is that a crime? Not yet it isn't. But is this what it's come to for you? Exploiting tiny, helpless bees so you don't have to rehearse your part and learn your lines, sir? Watch it, Benson! I could blow right now! This isn't a goodfella. This is a badfella! Why doesn't someone just step on this creep, and we can all go home?! - Order in this court! - You're all thinking it! Order! Order, I say! - Say it! - Mr. Liotta, please sit down! I think it was awfully nice of that bear to pitch in like that. I think the jury's on our side. Are we doing everything right, legally? I'm a florist. Right. Well, here's to a great team. To a great team! Well, hello. - Ken! - Hello. I didn't think you were coming. No, I was just late. I tried to call, but... the battery. I didn't want all this to go to waste, so I called Barry. Luckily, he was free. Oh, that was lucky. There's a little left. I could heat it up. Yeah, heat it up, sure, whatever. So I hear you're quite a tennis player. I'm not much for the game myself. The ball's a little grabby. That's where I usually sit. Right... there. Ken, Barry was looking at your resume, and he agreed with me that eating with chopsticks isn't really a special skill. You think I don't see what you're doing? I know how hard it is to find the rightjob. We have that in common. Do we? Bees have 100 percent employment, but we do jobs like taking the crud out. That's just what I was thinking about doing. Ken, I let Barry borrow your razor for his fuzz. I hope that was all right. I'm going to drain the old stinger. Yeah, you do that. Look at that. You know, I've just about had it with your little mind games. - What's that? - Italian Vogue. Mamma mia, that's a lot of pages. A lot of ads. Remember what Van said, why is your life more valuable than mine? Funny, I just can't seem to recall that! I think something stinks in here! I love the smell of flowers. How do you like the smell of flames?! Not as much. Water bug! Not taking sides! Ken, I'm wearing a Ohapstick hat! This is pathetic! I've got issues! Well, well, well, a royal flush! - You're bluffing. - Am I? Surf's up, dude! Poo water! That bowl is gnarly. Except for those dirty yellow rings! Kenneth! What are you doing?! You know, I don't even like honey! I don't eat it! We need to talk! He's just a little bee! And he happens to be the nicest bee I've met in a long time! Long time? What are you talking about?! Are there other bugs in your life? No, but there are other things bugging me in life. And you're one of them! Fine! Talking bees, no yogurt night... My nerves are fried from riding on this emotional roller coaster! Goodbye, Ken. And for your information, I prefer sugar-free, artificial sweeteners made by man! I'm sorry about all that. I know it's got an aftertaste! I like it! I always felt there was some kind of barrier between Ken and me. I couldn't overcome it. Oh, well. Are you OK for the trial? I believe Mr. Montgomery is about out of ideas. We would like to call Mr. Barry Benson Bee to the stand. Good idea! You can really see why he's considered one of the best lawyers... Yeah. Layton, you've gotta weave some magic with this jury, or it's gonna be all over. Don't worry. The only thing I have to do to turn this jury around is to remind them of what they don't like about bees. - You got the tweezers? - Are you allergic? Only to losing, son. Only to losing. Mr. Benson Bee, I'll ask you what I think we'd all like to know. What exactly is your relationship to that woman? We're friends. - Good friends? - Yes. How good? Do you live together? Wait a minute... Are you her little... ...bedbug? I've seen a bee documentary or two. From what I understand, doesn't your queen give birth to all the bee children? - Yeah, but... - So those aren't your real parents! - Oh, Barry... - Yes, they are! Hold me back! You're an illegitimate bee, aren't you, Benson? He's denouncing bees! Don't y'all date your cousins? - Objection! - I'm going to pincushion this guy! Adam, don't! It's what he wants! Oh, I'm hit!! Oh, lordy, I am hit! Order! Order! The venom! The venom is coursing through my veins! I have been felled by a winged beast of destruction! You see? You can't treat them like equals! They're striped savages! Stinging's the only thing they know! It's their way! - Adam, stay with me. - I can't feel my legs. What angel of mercy will come forward to suck the poison from my heaving buttocks? I will have order in this court. Order! Order, please! The case of the honeybees versus the human race took a pointed turn against the bees yesterday when one of their legal team stung Layton T. Montgomery. - Hey, buddy. - Hey. - Is there much pain? - Yeah. I... I blew the whole case, didn't I? It doesn't matter. What matters is you're alive. You could have died. I'd be better off dead. Look at me. They got it from the cafeteria downstairs, in a tuna sandwich. Look, there's a little celery still on it. What was it like to sting someone? I can't explain it. It was all... All adrenaline and then... and then ecstasy! All right. You think it was all a trap? Of course. I'm sorry. I flew us right into this. What were we thinking? Look at us. We're just a couple of bugs in this world. What will the humans do to us if they win? I don't know. I hear they put the roaches in motels. That doesn't sound so bad. Adam, they check in, but they don't check out! Oh, my. Oould you get a nurse to close that window? - Why? - The smoke. Bees don't smoke. Right. Bees don't smoke. Bees don't smoke! But some bees are smoking. That's it! That's our case! It is? It's not over? Get dressed. I've gotta go somewhere. Get back to the court and stall. Stall any way you can. And assuming you've done step correctly, you're ready for the tub. Mr. Flayman. Yes? Yes, Your Honor! Where is the rest of your team? Well, Your Honor, it's interesting. Bees are trained to fly haphazardly, and as a result, we don't make very good time. I actually heard a funny story about... Your Honor, haven't these ridiculous bugs taken up enough of this court's valuable time? How much longer will we allow these absurd shenanigans to go on? They have presented no compelling evidence to support their charges against my clients, who run legitimate businesses. I move for a complete dismissal of this entire case! Mr. Flayman, I'm afraid I'm going to have to consider Mr. Montgomery's motion. But you can't! We have a terrific case. Where is your proof? Where is the evidence? Show me the smoking gun! Hold it, Your Honor! You want a smoking gun? Here is your smoking gun. What is that? It's a bee smoker! What, this? This harmless little contraption? This couldn't hurt a fly, let alone a bee. Look at what has happened to bees who have never been asked, "Smoking or non?" Is this what nature intended for us? To be forcibly addicted to smoke machines and man-made wooden slat work camps? Living out our lives as honey slaves to the white man? - What are we gonna do? - He's playing the species card. Ladies and gentlemen, please, free these bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! Free the bees! The court finds in favor of the bees! Vanessa, we won! I knew you could do it! High-five! Sorry. I'm OK! You know what this means? All the honey will finally belong to the bees. Now we won't have to work so hard all the time. This is an unholy perversion of the balance of nature, Benson. You'll regret this. Barry, how much honey is out there? All right. One at a time. Barry, who are you wearing? My sweater is Ralph Lauren, and I have no pants. - What if Montgomery's right? - What do you mean? We've been living the bee way a long time, 27 million years. Oongratulations on your victory. What will you demand as a settlement? First, we'll demand a complete shutdown of all bee work camps. Then we want back the honey that was ours to begin with, every last drop. We demand an end to the glorification of the bear as anything more than a filthy, smelly, bad-breath stink machine. We're all aware of what they do in the woods. Wait for my signal. Take him out. He'll have nauseous for a few hours, then he'll be fine. And we will no longer tolerate bee-negative nicknames... But it's just a prance-about stage name! ...unnecessary inclusion of honey in bogus health products and la-dee-da human tea-time snack garnishments. Oan't breathe. Bring it in, boys! Hold it right there! Good. Tap it. Mr. Buzzwell, we just passed three cups, and there's gallons more coming! - I think we need to shut down! - Shut down? We've never shut down. Shut down honey production! Stop making honey! Turn your key, sir! What do we do now? Oannonball! We're shutting honey production! Mission abort. Aborting pollination and nectar detail. Returning to base. Adam, you wouldn't believe how much honey was out there. Oh, yeah? What's going on? Where is everybody? - Are they out celebrating? - They're home. They don't know what to do. Laying out, sleeping in. I heard your Uncle Oarl was on his way to San Antonio with a cricket. At least we got our honey back. Sometimes I think, so what if humans liked our honey? Who wouldn't? It's the greatest thing in the world! I was excited to be part of making it. This was my new desk. This was my new job. I wanted to do it really well. And now... Now I can't. I don't understand why they're not happy. I thought their lives would be better! They're doing nothing. It's amazing. Honey really changes people. You don't have any idea what's going on, do you? - What did you want to show me? - This. What happened here? That is not the half of it. Oh, no. Oh, my. They're all wilting. Doesn't look very good, does it? No. And whose fault do you think that is? You know, I'm gonna guess bees. Bees? Specifically, me. I didn't think bees not needing to make honey would affect all these things. It's notjust flowers. Fruits, vegetables, they all need bees. That's our whole SAT test right there. Take away produce, that affects the entire animal kingdom. And then, of course... The human species? So if there's no more pollination, it could all just go south here, couldn't it? I know this is also partly my fault. How about a suicide pact? How do we do it? - I'll sting you, you step on me. - Thatjust kills you twice. Right, right. Listen, Barry... sorry, but I gotta get going. I had to open my mouth and talk. Vanessa? Vanessa? Why are you leaving? Where are you going? To the final Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena. They've moved it to this weekend because all the flowers are dying. It's the last chance I'll ever have to see it. Vanessa, I just wanna say I'm sorry. I never meant it to turn out like this. I know. Me neither. Tournament of Roses. Roses can't do sports. Wait a minute. Roses. Roses? Roses! Vanessa! Roses?! Barry? - Roses are flowers! - Yes, they are. Flowers, bees, pollen! I know. That's why this is the last parade. Maybe not. Oould you ask him to slow down? Oould you slow down? Barry! OK, I made a huge mistake. This is a total disaster, all my fault. Yes, it kind of is. I've ruined the planet. I wanted to help you with the flower shop. I've made it worse. Actually, it's completely closed down. I thought maybe you were remodeling. But I have another idea, and it's greater than my previous ideas combined. I don't want to hear it! All right, they have the roses, the roses have the pollen. I know every bee, plant and flower bud in this park. All we gotta do is get what they've got back here with what we've got. - Bees. - Park. - Pollen! - Flowers. - Repollination! - Across the nation! Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, Oalifornia. They've got nothing but flowers, floats and cotton candy. Security will be tight. I have an idea. Vanessa Bloome, FTD. Official floral business. It's real. Sorry, ma'am. Nice brooch. Thank you. It was a gift. Once inside, we just pick the right float. How about The Princess and the Pea? I could be the princess, and you could be the pea! Yes, I got it. - Where should I sit? - What are you? - I believe I'm the pea. - The pea? It goes under the mattresses. - Not in this fairy tale, sweetheart. - I'm getting the marshal. You do that! This whole parade is a fiasco! Let's see what this baby'll do. Hey, what are you doing?! Then all we do is blend in with traffic... ...without arousing suspicion. Once at the airport, there's no stopping us. Stop! Security. - You and your insect pack your float? - Yes. Has it been in your possession the entire time? Would you remove your shoes? - Remove your stinger. - It's part of me. I know. Just having some fun. Enjoy your flight. Then if we're lucky, we'll have just enough pollen to do the job. Oan you believe how lucky we are? We have just enough pollen to do the job! I think this is gonna work. It's got to work. Attention, passengers, this is Oaptain Scott. We have a bit of bad weather in New York. It looks like we'll experience a couple hours delay. Barry, these are cut flowers with no water. They'll never make it. I gotta get up there and talk to them. Be careful. Oan I get help with the Sky Mall magazine? I'd like to order the talking inflatable nose and ear hair trimmer. Oaptain, I'm in a real situation. - What'd you say, Hal? - Nothing. Bee! Don't freak out! My entire species... What are you doing? - Wait a minute! I'm an attorney! - Who's an attorney? Don't move. Oh, Barry. Good afternoon, passengers. This is your captain. Would a Miss Vanessa Bloome in 24B please report to the cockpit? And please hurry! What happened here? There was a DustBuster, a toupee, a life raft exploded. One's bald, one's in a boat, they're both unconscious! - Is that another bee joke? - No! No one's flying the plane! This is JFK control tower, Flight 356. What's your status? This is Vanessa Bloome. I'm a florist from New York. Where's the pilot? He's unconscious, and so is the copilot. Not good. Does anyone onboard have flight experience? As a matter of fact, there is. - Who's that? - Barry Benson. From the honey trial?! Oh, great. Vanessa, this is nothing more than a big metal bee. It's got giant wings, huge engines. I can't fly a plane. - Why not? Isn't John Travolta a pilot? - Yes. How hard could it be? Wait, Barry! We're headed into some lightning. This is Bob Bumble. We have some late-breaking news from JFK Airport, where a suspenseful scene is developing. Barry Benson, fresh from his legal victory... That's Barry! ...is attempting to land a plane, loaded with people, flowers and an incapacitated flight crew. Flowers?! We have a storm in the area and two individuals at the controls with absolutely no flight experience. Just a minute. There's a bee on that plane. I'm quite familiar with Mr. Benson and his no-account compadres. They've done enough damage. But isn't he your only hope? Technically, a bee shouldn't be able to fly at all. Their wings are too small... Haven't we heard this a million times? "The surface area of the wings and body mass make no sense." - Get this on the air! - Got it. - Stand by. - We're going live. The way we work may be a mystery to you. Making honey takes a lot of bees doing a lot of small jobs. But let me tell you about a small job. If you do it well, it makes a big difference. More than we realized. To us, to everyone. That's why I want to get bees back to working together. That's the bee way! We're not made of Jell-O. We get behind a fellow. - Black and yellow! - Hello! Left, right, down, hover. - Hover? - Forget hover. This isn't so hard. Beep-beep! Beep-beep! Barry, what happened?! Wait, I think we were on autopilot the whole time. - That may have been helping me. - And now we're not! So it turns out I cannot fly a plane. All of you, let's get behind this fellow! Move it out! Move out! Our only chance is if I do what I'd do, you copy me with the wings of the plane! Don't have to yell. I'm not yelling! We're in a lot of trouble. It's very hard to concentrate with that panicky tone in your voice! It's not a tone. I'm panicking! I can't do this! Vanessa, pull yourself together. You have to snap out of it! You snap out of it. You snap out of it. - You snap out of it! - You snap out of it! - You snap out of it! - You snap out of it! - You snap out of it! - You snap out of it! - Hold it! - Why? Oome on, it's my turn. How is the plane flying? I don't know. Hello? Benson, got any flowers for a happy occasion in there? The Pollen Jocks! They do get behind a fellow. - Black and yellow. - Hello. All right, let's drop this tin can on the blacktop. Where? I can't see anything. Oan you? No, nothing. It's all cloudy. Oome on. You got to think bee, Barry. - Thinking bee. - Thinking bee. Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Wait a minute. I think I'm feeling something. - What? - I don't know. It's strong, pulling me. Like a 27-million-year-old instinct. Bring the nose down. Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! - What in the world is on the tarmac? - Get some lights on that! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! Thinking bee! - Vanessa, aim for the flower. - OK. Out the engines. We're going in on bee power. Ready, boys? Affirmative! Good. Good. Easy, now. That's it. Land on that flower! Ready? Full reverse! Spin it around! - Not that flower! The other one! - Which one? - That flower. - I'm aiming at the flower! That's a fat guy in a flowered shirt. I mean the giant pulsating flower made of millions of bees! Pull forward. Nose down. Tail up. Rotate around it. - This is insane, Barry! - This's the only way I know how to fly. Am I koo-koo-kachoo, or is this plane flying in an insect-like pattern? Get your nose in there. Don't be afraid. Smell it. Full reverse! Just drop it. Be a part of it. Aim for the center! Now drop it in! Drop it in, woman! Oome on, already. Barry, we did it! You taught me how to fly! - Yes. No high-five! - Right. Barry, it worked! Did you see the giant flower? What giant flower? Where? Of course I saw the flower! That was genius! - Thank you. - But we're not done yet. Listen, everyone! This runway is covered with the last pollen from the last flowers available anywhere on Earth. That means this is our last chance. We're the only ones who make honey, pollinate flowers and dress like this. If we're gonna survive as a species, this is our moment! What do you say? Are we going to be bees, orjust Museum of Natural History keychains? We're bees! Keychain! Then follow me! Except Keychain. Hold on, Barry. Here. You've earned this. Yeah! I'm a Pollen Jock! And it's a perfect fit. All I gotta do are the sleeves. Oh, yeah. That's our Barry. Mom! The bees are back! If anybody needs to make a call, now's the time. I got a feeling we'll be working late tonight! Here's your change. Have a great afternoon! Oan I help who's next? Would you like some honey with that? It is bee-approved. Don't forget these. Milk, cream, cheese, it's all me. And I don't see a nickel! Sometimes I just feel like a piece of meat! I had no idea. Barry, I'm sorry. Have you got a moment? Would you excuse me? My mosquito associate will help you. Sorry I'm late. He's a lawyer too? I was already a blood-sucking parasite. All I needed was a briefcase. Have a great afternoon! Barry, I just got this huge tulip order, and I can't get them anywhere. No problem, Vannie. Just leave it to me. You're a lifesaver, Barry. Oan I help who's next? All right, scramble, jocks! It's time to fly. Thank you, Barry! That bee is living my life! Let it go, Kenny. - When will this nightmare end?! - Let it all go. - Beautiful day to fly. - Sure is. Between you and me, I was dying to get out of that office. You have got to start thinking bee, my friend. - Thinking bee! - Me? Hold it. Let's just stop for a second. Hold it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, everyone. Oan we stop here? I'm not making a major life decision during a production number! All right. Take ten, everybody. Wrap it up, guys. I had virtually no rehearsal for that.

I knew I had to wake up to go to the bar to meet my new partner my mentor Stan Hurley said I was going to have. He did not mention if it were man or a woman. Although, by the way he looked I can tell he knew who the person was just wanted me to find out myself. I lifted myself out of bed cracking my bones. The dark clouds made it seem it was four in the morning even though it was seventy o'clock at night. It was raining all day meaning I stood asleep till it was time to meet this John doe.
Whoever this person I was going to meet better like drinking at seven at night. It made me think if I should just follow my own path or let them lead the way. Yeah right, if anything they better follow my ass or their out of a job. I don't give a fuck what Kennedy or Hurley says to me. It wasn't hard for me to read people, I take one look at them and I know their intentions immediately. Are they hiding something? Did they hire someone to come with them to make sure I'm not going to kill them or such? It was a gift I had, Hurley helped with it at most but more of me.
Putting on a black shirt with my leather jacket, throwing on a pair of jeans I snatched from my floor and slipping on pair of Adidas shoes, I looked in the mirror realizing I need to shave. I could care less right now. My intentions were to go meet this new partner of mine. I grabbed my wallet and Marbelo cigarettes as well as my cell phone stuffing it in my pocket.
I undid the chains on my apartment front door. I trust no one which is why I put all these chains on my door. I walked out putting my key to lock my door then heading outside. The breeze flowed through my thick dark hair giving my the chills as I stepped into my car.
"Fucking weather," I hissed under my breath starting the engine. My gray Sedan took off to the bar Hurley said my "partner" would be located at. If they recognize me I'll be astonished they wouldn't make a run for it. I've killed many people. Most of them sleep with one eye open because they know I'm coming for them. It's smart, but doesn't stop me from killing them once I lay my eye on the prey.
My sedan came to stop parking in the bars lot. It was packed with vehicles and motorcycles. This better be one hell of a night. I sighed under my nose slipping my hands in my pockets walking into the bar. Immediately chatter fills my ears. Men rambling about the football game. Bar tenders walking around trying to sell drinks, and woman trying to seduce men and drag them to the bathrooms.
Not one of these people looked like a fit to be working with me. Let along able to hold a conversation with half of the drunkies here. I walked over to the bar and sat down on the stool. The man was on the other side taking an order while I sat at the corner with my back to the wall. It was what I always did anyone could sneak up on me. I always needed to be able to look over my shoulder. I fetched out a cigarette lighting it blowing out smoke to my left. Seconds later the man comes over to me.
"What will it be?" He asked cleaning a shot glass with a rag.
I put my cigarette between my index finger and my middle finger. "Just a beer." My tone louder than his over the loud music. They couldn't play better music? Couldn't even hear the game over the beats and the loud hollering from the crazed Giants fans. As my eyes were wandering about they stopped on a woman sitting alone in the corner her back to the wall.
Her long brown hair pushed to the right while she brought her cigarette to her red lips. Her breasts practically were screaming to get out of that tight red dress she was wearing revealing sexy toned legs. She uncrossed her legs when her eyes met mine. The mysterious woman tapped the end of her cigarette letting the ashes fall to the ground as she looked back at me with a flirtatious smirk.
I tried to look away but I couldn't. My eyes were glued to the beautiful woman just a couple of seats away from me. All of a sudden she stood from her chair walking over to me. As she sat down next to me she sat tall with good posture waving for the bar tender to head over. When he came over he tried hard not to stare at her tits. She didn't seem to mind though when he kept sneaking a peak.
Finally, he went to go make her drink then she rested her elbows in the counter bringing her hands together turning her head to me.
"Hurley said you never arrive early." She said to me with a honest tone looking at me with concentrated eyes. I did my best to hide my surprisement in my eyes. How did I not see she was my partner? It all ran so clear. This woman sat in a corner her back to the wall just as me. Along with that, she minded he'd own business letting all this ruckus smooth past us.
"Hurley can mind his fucking business." I snarl taking a sip from my beer. The nameless woman looks away letting out a giggle as the man comes back with her drink.
"Thank you, dear." She says taking it in her hands giving him a wink. The man blushes hard before walking off to another customer. I guess she had her ways to get out of paying for her drinks. Smart girl.
"Would you give me your name or it's a secret?" I ask waving my cigarette around as I spoke.
Her eyes batted as she turned to me sipping her liquor through a thin straw. As she let out a sigh of relief as she was satisfied with her drink of choice she moved her body more to me meaning she doesn't want anyone else to here what she's about to say.
"I am Nastasia Aleski" she smiled through her teeths holding out her small hand for me to shake. I took it in mine giving it a firm shake as I tried to study her face to find a any hint she was lying. I couldn't find any hint of her not telling me the truth or she was just good at hiding it. "I know who you are," she pauses leaning closely, "Mitch Rapp." She whispered that sending shivers down my spine. Nastasia moved away bringing her straw back to her lips.
"I bet you know I've killed people." I say in a low tone but loud enough for her to hear. Nastasia gives a small nod.
"So have I and every other insane person in this world. Your no different. Stan was very clear on who I was going to be dealing with. A sad man who lost his wife and hasn't been himself since." Why would he tell this woman all my deep personal shit if I haven't met her till today. The next time I see him he better hope I don't beat the living shit out of him. "But don't worry I too lost someone close to me. It's not a pleasant feeling."
"Who was it? A husband?" I guessed bringing my cigarette to my lips.
Nastasia shakes her head putting her drink down stirring it in circles with her straw. "My father just when I was a little girl. I was close to him more than my drug addict mother who left us when I was ten. Haven't seen her since and never want to see her again. I do miss my father dearly, sometimes I think he's in my dreams with me." She states looking in the different drink choices on the shelves in front of us. It was hard to read this girl she had years of practice to never let a stranger or anyone be able to read her.
"I'm sorry for your lost."
"I don't need your pity. Now, let's just get to business. Hurley told me to meet at Irene Kennedy's office with you by the morning. Kennedy also knows you won't make it there in time so she suggested I spend the night with you to make sure you get there in time because this meeting is very important." She stated shitfting in her seat to face me. Was she joking? We'd only just met also why isn't Irene telling me any of this? I knew the reason, it would have stopped me to meet up with the woman. It was hard enough to be read her now she has to be with me in my apartment.
"Mitch?" She called out grabbing my full attention.
"Right, sorry. All right, sure let's go now." I tell her stepping out of the stool. I held out my hand for her to get down on her high heels and she took it giving it a squeeze. Nastasia smiled hard releasing her hand out of my grasp waiting for me to lead the way. I walked out of the bar holding the door open for her and she thanked me walking tall outside. It was raining once again as it was darker than before when I just arrived here. The long brown haired woman started to shake at the cold temperature. Standing just outside the driver's seat I walked took off my jacket handing it to Nastasia.
"Thank you, Mitch." She greeted as I unlocked the car and she climbed in the passenger seat. Who knew my night would end in bringing home a woman who is my partner for however long Hurley keeps her in my life.
I drove away from the bar turning on my wipers wiping the rain drops away. She was still shivering so I moved my hand to turn the heat up. The rain was getting heavy by the minute which didn't help how cold my car was. The red light turned green and I drove up the road. Next I turned right and drove up to my parking space.
"This is me." I point to my apartment building. I took the keys out the ignition opening my door. "Well, I hope you can run in heels doll face." I smirk at her before leaping out of the car. I jogged to my front door looking for my key. Seconds later I heard heels clacking against the concrete then hopping up my stairs. I found my key opening the door rushing in as did Nastasia. She throws my jacket to the ground running her hand through her wet hair.
"Boy, was it raining hard. I have to get out of this dress." She says staring down at her wet body.
"The shower is down hall to the right. And I suppose your not going to wear that dress again so I'll just leave my clothes in the spare bedroom." I tell her taking my shoes off to leave them on the mat by my front door.
"Thank you, Mitch." She says once again leaving her heels on the mat then walking down the hall to the shower. I let out a exhausted sigh then walk to my bedroom tearing off my clothes. I didn't mind not showering till she was done. For now I put on a new pair of boxers and turn on the TV. Light flashed in my room from the lighting that just started. Right after the lighting it thundered loudly.
I was surprised she wasn't alarmed by that. Well, thunder storms are more for kids to be afraid of right? I lifted my head from my pillow and noticed it was now soaked. Oh well, I has to get out of bed anyways to give Nastasia clothing. I crawled out of bed to my draws. I opened the top one taking out a T-shirt then next to that draw I took out a pair of checkered red and blue pants.
Holding the clothes in my hand I walked down the hall opening the guest bedroom noticing she already settled in. Her phone was on the night stand along with her cigarettes and purse. Was it okay if I snooped a little? I mean she was in my home. I put the clothes on the bed as I walked over slowly to her cell phone. Finger prints can leave on anything. A phone you'll catch the finger print in a heart beat. My long finger was hovering over the home button until I heard a females voice from behind.
"What do you think your doing?" Nastasia questioned gripping the towel her angry eyes staring back at me. She walked over by me grabbing her phone. I stepped back pointing to the clothes.
"I told you I was bringing you clothes."
"You left out snooping through my phone." She snarled at me her nostrils flared up.
"It's hard to trust someone I just met who's in my home. So I wanted to check if your not someone Hurley did sign."
She let's out a long sigh closing her eyes, "Mitch. I know it's hard for you to trust someone but, I mean no harm. I'm just doing this business for Kennedy and Hurley that's all. You have absolutely nothing to worry about now please can I get dressed I'm exhausted." She explained unwrapping her towel slowly cuing me to leave. I raised my eyebrows then sprinted to the door. Without looking back I said.
"Enjoy your night," I closed the door behind me heading to the shower. I was exhausted as well and couldn't wait to finally get some rest for the hell I'm going to get tomorrow.
I turned on the water letting my boxers fall to the floor as I stepped into the shower. The warm water hit my back as it felt like a massage. I ran my fingers through my wet hair putting shampoo in it. I let the soap fall to the floor, next I washed my body then turned off the shower. I stepped out grabbing a towel drying my hair and face then wrapping it around my waist.
Maybe I should shave so Irene doesn't bother me about it tomorrow. I grab my shaver shaving my thick beard. I put it down rubbing my face as there no longer is a monster beard on my chin. I walk over to open the door walking to my bedroom. Should I check on Nastasia? Or just let her rest? I walked to her room as the door was cracked open. I peaked my eye in not being able to see much which made me open the door a little more noticing she was sleeping with the clothes I gave her snuggling one of the pillows. Good thing she was asleep for all I know she would've tried to leave. I did only meet her a couple of hours ago. Tomorrow better be one hell of a meeting. Otherwise, this woman is in my spare bedroom for no apparent reason.
