thinking abt the time i was filming a school project, but one of my actors was really bad at memorizing lines on short notice, so after getting tired of cue carding him (since i didn’t wanna look Unprofessional-- in MY eleventh grade history project???), i just told him to improvise something based off the vague things he remembered from the script, and that’s how we ended up with the line, “you can’t board the titanic right now because they’re, um, unloading the life boats” and i gotta hand it to him, that was pretty funny

#the actual line he was meant to say was pretty long but it went like this:#'anyway the titanic's undergoing some repairs right now. something abt getting rid of all the extra lifeboats that it clearly won't need #because of how unsinkable it is in order to make more money fitting more people onto the boat so you'll be boarding the californian'#i still can't fucking believe that this script got away with a bunch of drug/prostitution jokes but my teacher drew the line #at the baby eating jokes. since she said she wanted to read my script for approval first (bc i was a known funnyman. unfortunately.)#like there's clearly NO WAY she didn't catch the drug jokes. she just let me have them. hot damn.#i wish i had more excuses to film stupid little skits with my friends those school projects were so much fun #i have to say that every single script i wrote for school projects back in high school just had SO MUCH of my personality in it #and you can tell i had a blast writing them too. i think kids are kind of scared of having fun when doing school projects #and then if they're videos they're also afraid of embarrassing themselves of seeming unprofessional n getting a bad grade #but like guys. you're kids!! have fun with it!!! on god even if we're adults now we should have fun with our creative projects!!!!!#the worm speaks
