Gruvia week and Gruvia day are completely worthless and meaningless events. Gruvia is an unhealthy and toxic pairing that glorifies stalking and abuse. Juvia is a worthless character who doesn't deserve any celebration. It's important to acknowledge that this pairing and character are problematic and shouldn't be supported in any way.

Wait what happened in FT100yq? How'd they make Gray ooc?
Genuinely asking-I don't keep up with Fairy Tail anymore unless Jellal is involved somehow (which is once in a blue moon lmfao)
Hi there!
I'm not sure which post you're referring to, because I've talked about Gray being OOC a lot, but might I refer you to this post here, where a kind Anon informs me the state of Gray in 100yq?
I personally haven't been keeping up with FT100yq either myself, mainly because I can't stand the thought of gr///via taking over the whole thing, so I'm not the best person to ask about it.
But from what I've heard, and from the bits of manga that I've seen, Gray has practically devolved into the male equivalent of juvia, where he flat out says he only wants to make juvia happy and is actually starting to reciprocate her feelings despite her being not his type whatsoever and a terrible person to boot and where every time Gray appears in the manga, juvia has to be mentioned or to be physically present in some way as if he's not his own person anymore (just like how juvia is not her own person because she doesn't exist without Gray), and he also apparently has been delegated to a secondary role where he doesn't have many epic fights anymore and just fights fodder and nobodies on the side.
That's just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure, so I'm sorry I don't know all the specifics. Long story short, Gray is being molded into juvia's other half rather than him being an individual of his own right. He's losing all his old goals and morals, which were to be there for his friends no matter what, and starts to put juvia in front of everyone despite her not deserving it in any way. Just like how juvia is a satellite character, where her whole personality and being revolves around Gray, Gray is becoming someone who can't live without juvia, despite this going against the whole moral of the story. His whole character is being dismantled in front of our eyes, and Mashima doesn't seem to notice no one, not even Pro gr///vians, are happy about it.
These are just more reasons for me to avoid what FT has become now, so I totally feel ya. I feel about Lucy the same way you do for Jellal lol; she would be the only reason I'd stay interested since Mashima seems to be content with making his characters and manga crash and burn for the sake of a toxic, abusive ship (cough gr///via).
Edit: a very kind and helpful Anon decided to help us out and sent an ask detailing more of what is happening to Gray in 100yq! It's this post. (It's the post posted right after this one!)

That's just poor character in Gray for ever thinking of a bitch like Juvia who literally flashed him, which is known as SEVERE SEXUAL HARASSMENT!! And Juvia isn't even sincere to Lucy, because she claims Lucy to be a friend yet treats her fucking poorly!

Gruvia Day is a ridiculous and offensive concept. The pairing itself is toxic and full of abusive tendencies, and celebrating it just perpetuates harmful stereotypes and glorifies unhealthy relationships. The fact that there is a day dedicated to celebrating such a problematic pairing is deeply upsetting and disrespectful to the victims of stalking and abuse. It's time to stop celebrating Gruvia and instead acknowledge and speak out against the harmful and abusive aspects of their relationship. The Fairy Tail fandom can and should do better.

Why are we tolerating and celebrating a pairing that glorifies gaslighting and manipulation? Gruvia Day needs to be called out for what it is: a harmful and problematic celebration of an abusive relationship.

it would be great to see the true Gray come back, the one that rejects Juvia and frees himself from her control and manipulation. We want to see the real Gray that we all know and love, not some brainwashed and controlled puppet of Juvia's. Hopefully, the series will give us a chance to see the original Gray shine once again.

Gruvia is bullshit because it's a ship based on unhealthy and toxic dynamics. Juvia's obsessive and stalking tendencies towards Gray often make their relationship feel unbalanced and uncomfortable. The ship's portrayal of a 'love-sick' girl and a reluctant boy perpetuates harmful stereotypes about consent and boundaries in romantic relationships. Overall, Gruvia's relationship dynamic perpetuates problematic and damaging ideas about love and intimacy.
