Quinn Hughes x f! reader (fluff)
Summary: Quinn returns home from a roadie, and brings something back for you.
WC: 402
Author's Note: Y'all im a sucker for a snowglobe i fear 😔 - 🐇
You’re not alerted to him coming home from the sound of the bags hitting the floor, or even by his voice calling out for you. Rather it’s the soft pattern of his footsteps against the rug outside your apartment door that has you peeking over the back of the couch in anticipation. Before his gear has even clattered to the floor, or he’s toed off his shoes, you’re leaping into his arms.
“Quinn!” You coo as you land right where you belong. He responds in equal fashion, breathing your name out on the crest of an almost wistful sigh. He tucks his head neatly into the crook of your neck.
You break the hold, stretching up to place a kiss on his cheek. “Missed you,” you murmur into his temple.
He straightens up at this, craning his neck back at the bags he had dropped unceremoniously at the door. “I almost forgot,” he says as you tilt your head, intrigued.
“Forgot what?”
“I got you something.” Matter of factly. As if this was something he had done before, something you had come to expect.
“Oh!” You nod, watching him root through his bags. “Why?”
Quinn stands up, holding a small gift bag in one hand. “No reason,” he says sheepishly, rubbing his face.
“Oh my gosh,” you laugh out, “are you blushing right now?”
“No!” He says, eyes wide, and ears clearly flushed.
“You are!” Reaching a hand up to cup his now red cheek. “Don't worry babe, I think it’s sweet that you’re flustered.”
Quinn holds the gift bag in your direction, turning his warm face away from you and into your hand. “I just thought of you when I saw it.” He says as you reach into the bag, pulling out an ornate hand painted snow globe. “Yknow. Just something to remember me when I’m gone. Like you can watch over me or something.”
“Oh Quinn,” you breathe, holding the trinket up to the light. He wraps his arms around you, placing his head on top of yours as you examine the gift.
“I was thinking that maybe you could start collecting them,” he says into your hair, “I could get you one when I go away.”
You nod, turning in his arms to embrace him. As you wrap your arms around him you can see written on the bottom of the snow globe.
Wishing you were here.
Love, Quinn

cw: angst, angst and more angst, ex bf! sukuna hates himself and self sabotages himself, modern au, sukuna is jin's twin brother and yuji's uncle, unckuna stans rise!!!!
Sukuna should have taken more photos of you.
It’s a realisation that hits him when he’s scrolling through his feed, watching everyone and their fucking mother share the best moments from the past year. He grimaces to himself, evaluating over the past year and deciding it was completely shit.
Nonetheless, he would never do some sentimental shit like that. It’s not his character and never will be.
But instead, he wishes he had more photos of you. Not for others to see, only him. And maybe for his nephew Yuji when he asks.
He won’t shut up about you everytime Sukuna visits and it takes everything within Sukuna to not break down right there and then. Instead he goes to take a breather, ignoring the heavy drop in his stomach at the mention of your name.
But Jin can tell he’s not doing well just by Sukuna’s frown and fidgeting hands. He overhears Sukuna telling Yuji an excuse about how busy you are. Last week was the excuse that you were out of town visiting your parents in the south. Now, he wonders how creative his excuse will be next week. Maybe you’re in another country entirely.
No. Sukuna wouldn’t wish that. Ever.
‘You do realise you’ll have to tell him someday?’ Jin murmurs. The kitchen is quiet, safe for the metal cutlery Sukuna is putting away whilst his brother cleans up. His hands are soapy and the water swishes side to side in the sink, threatening to spill but Jin never lets it happen.
The dimmed lighting and the past scent of dinner remains, creating a soft glow over the Itadori brothers. Yuji’s already tucked into bed, an early bedtime for school tomorrow and Sukuna promised to drop him off the next morning. But this current moment is slow and private — one of the rare times where Sukuna doesn’t have to put on an act for Yuji and pretend nothing has happened.
Sukuna hates his twin brother for many things like having shit taste in ice cream flavour but if he had to pick one thing, and one thing only to be mad about, it would be the fact that he knows him so well.
(too well.)
Jin’s ability to read his mind without a word ever having to leave Sukuna’s mouth has existed since they were kids.
Some might say it’s twin telepathy but Sukuna doesn’t believe in that shit. There was this one instance where a kid had pushed over another kid in the playground, leaving the boy to cry away in the corner, too afraid to tell the teachers who had done it. Nothing needed to be said but Jin had a suspicious feeling as to who was responsible.
‘You pushed him over Sukuna I know you did.’
‘You didn’t see me!’
‘But I can tell, by your face.’
Sukuna’s face frowns heavily, chubby cheeks turning red. He doesn’t reply.
‘Own up to it, it’s the right thing to do.’ Jin murmurs. He isn’t angry but his voice is soft, which further frustrates Sukuna. He knows Jin never gets angry, no matter what. Even when he broke his favourite toy the other day.
‘I didn’t do it.’
‘I know you did. You can’t lie to me.’
‘Or what?’ sukuna spat.
‘Or I tell everyone you still wet the bed at the age of six and you know they’ll believe me because you’re my brother.’
Brother.
Sukuna growls under his breath, kicking the gravel of the playground. Some kind of brother if you threaten your own twin by humiliation. To say the least Sukuna got his punishment: a letter written home to his dad and he was grounded for a week.
Even now in the small kitchen where Yuji’s drawings hang on the fridge Sukuna feels the pressure from his twin. Jin’s always been the mature one out of the two. He always knows what to say, the right things to say in fact, which is what scares Sukuna the most.
The atmosphere is still calm and quiet, so much so Sukuna can hear his own heartbeat in his ears, waiting for the words to leave from his brother’s lips. Another pause lingers over them, Sukuna now moving on to dry the plates before Jin finally speaks.
‘You have to tell him.’
There it is.
Sukuna lets out a deep hum immediately knowing that he’s referring to Yuji. Jin lets out a sigh before continuing. He rinses off his soapy hands before drying them with a cloth.
‘You’ll run out of excuses one day and you will have to explain that they left. Not necessarily why, but let him know that…it’s the least you can do.’
Sukuna doesn’t look up, suddenly intrigued by drying the plates. They gleam under the light with the soap washing dish fragrant lingering on the fine china.
Sukuna doesn’t speak for the next two minutes, letting his mind ponder over what to say next. Again, it’s the privacy and comfort of his brother’s home that allows Sukuna to be vulnerable. Within these four walls, no one else but Jin can see the true character of Sukuna. Outside of these walls, you were close to figuring him out too.
‘I don’t wanna hurt him.’ Sukuna’s voice is soft, barely echoing within the walls of the kitchen. For the first time in what seems like forever, Sukuna’s soul is left bare and vulnerable. He feels pathetic and he knows he’s kidding himself by making up excuses to Yuji. Perhaps it’s denial that you’ve left or the childish belief that if he keeps telling these lies then one of these days you will actually come back and prove him wrong.
(you always did.)
‘You’re hurting him by not telling him.’ Jin speaks. There’s caution in his voice despite the softness. ‘The more you keep it away from him the more he’ll catch on. Yuji’s a smart kid, he’ll figure it out one way or another but he won’t necessarily catch onto the whole truth.’
‘What do you mean?’ Sukuna croaks. He finally looks at his brother, his stomach churning with anxiety as Jin’s words digest in his head.
‘I mean, if you don’t tell him the truth, Yuji will think that maybe they don’t want to see him anymore and that will hurt him more than your excuses.’
Sukuna’s shoulders drop. Once again, his brother was right.
Jin’s words from their childhood rings in Sukuna’s mind. ‘It’s the right thing to do.’
He wants it all to stop. To take back time and reverse it, to reset everything that he’s done. All he seems to do is hurt people. First you and now Yuji, all his life he seems to cause nothing but pain; nothing he seems to do is right.
‘You need to tell him Sukuna. Tomorrow.’ Jin warns, his glasses resting against the bridge of his nose. ‘It’ll break him by not telling him and it breaks you even more by keeping the truth from him. I can see it in your eyes everytime their name is mentioned, you might not think anyone notices but I do… and Yuji will realise it too one day.’
Sukuna says nothing more, hoping that the silence suddenly awakens and swallows him up whole. He continues to hope this as he finishes tidying away the dishes and it follows him as he slips on his shoes and leaves Jin’s house, the overwhelming sense of dread becoming his personal shadow in the winter cold on the way back to his own apartment.
It fills every waking moment of his mind even as he lays in bed, staring up at the ceiling unable to sleep with Jin’s words echoing in his head. As a distraction he picks his phone up from the bedside table, heading straight to his photos app.
There it is.
The album is titled with your name. It’s a whole collection of you. And only you. If he was ever in the photos he’d make sure to crop himself out, making you the highlight.
He finds the first photo, right at the top of his camera roll. You had taken the photo accidentally when he gave you his phone to exchange numbers.
The first time he met you. You were evidently nervous and barely able to make eye contact with a guy like him. Sukuna admits his persona is scary to those who don’t know him as well viewing his resting face as frustration or anger. You grew to learn that it was just him simply being…him. He scrolls.
The first date he ever took you on. yeah, it wasn’t the best restaurant in the whole city but the dessert you ate that night soon became your all time favourite. Sukuna hasn’t been able to eat there again since you left him. He scrolls.
The first time you had argued. It was petty, the reasoning behind that disagreement was something that he can’t even remember. It was miniscule but nonetheless he had snapped at you and you regressed, giving him nothing but silence in return. Since then you made clear boundaries with him and he didn’t raise his voice at you again. The photo is blurry, accidentally taken but your face can still be seen. You’re upset and he doesn’t like that but it’s a reminder for him to do better. Or at least it was. This would be just one of the many times that he’s made you feel that way. He scrolls.
There’s more as he scrolls. The two of you at an arcade… you in his car on a late night drive…the two of you getting drunk on your couch like losers… you cooking for him when he was ill… and Sukuna hesitates on a specific photo of and a pic of you and yuji. From the first day that you met him and Jin. You held a book in your lap with Yuji by your side, Sukuna kept smirking on how Yuji kept looking at you rather than the story.
He continues to scroll.
Your first time at the beach together. The way his eyes kept glancing at you in your swimwear, a light blush appearing across his cheeks. There’s multiple photos from that day: ones where the sun highlights your smile, making your skin glow. There’s more ones where you’re not looking deeply invested in building the perfect sandcastle. Photos of you getting ice cream on your nose, sand all over your hands with sun kissed lips. Lips that he kissed again.
The first time you slept over, your body next to his. Your eyes are closed, mouth agape as you snore away on his chest. He remembers that night more vividly than any other night, the way that your soft body fits perfectly against his own. Sukuna never thought he’d let anyone within his proximity let alone sleep on his chest. The next morning he remembers you having marks on your cheeks, evidence that you had a good night’s sleep. Sukuna also remembers sleeping really well that night, for the first time in forever.
Sukuna also took a video of you sleeping, originally taken just to make fun of your snoring. You begged him to delete it but the video of that is still on his phone, along with the hundreds of photos of you in his camera roll that he hasn’t bothered to delete. Yet. ( or ever)
He should have taken more photos of you.
But even more than that, he should have kissed you and hugged you more. Sure Sukuna wasn’t the pda type but even so, you shouldn’t have to beg for his attention or private affection. There were times he pulled away or hesitated on showing you any type of physical affection. He hesitated with those three little words, he was terrible at picking out gifts and he sometimes forgot to reply to your texts and calls but he still tried.
It was a conflicting issue. You tried to get him to open up and be comfortable with you, taking small steps with him. And over time you were close, so, so, so close to witnessing that vulnerable side of him…until he pushed you away. Like he does with everyone else in his life when he feels scared. When he feels out of control. You were affecting him in ways he couldn’t explain. If he wasn’t with you then he was constantly thinking of you; anxiety taking over his body at the thought of messing up or making you upset. Things were good. Too good to be true or to last long enough for Sukuna.
Something was inevitably going to go wrong.
Sukuna just made it happen prematurely.
Sukuna ends up scrolling to the last photo he ever took of you. He thinks about the last night that you stayed over and the last photo he ever took of you. Right before everything went to shit and he pushed you away. It was a quiet night in, he had you laid across his chest with your favourite show playing in the background, he doesn’t ever remember you finishing the episode. You fell asleep halfway through, breaking your promise in finishing the second season.
Sukuna studies you, eyes squinting. You snore lightly on his chest, your lips parted. Your face was peaceful and the happiest he’d ever seen you despite being asleep.
What kind of person did that make him? Taking that happiness away from you? He was meant to grow old with you for fuck’s sake. You were the only person he had pictured by his side in the future, save for Jin and Yuji of course. This was so foreign to Sukuna like he was a tourist to his own feelings, unable to comprehend what was happening. And because of that he got scared and fucked it up. Like a coward.
(That was one of the words you spat at him. He couldn’t be mad at you because it was true.)
Glancing at you in his arms, he positions the phone by your face, careful not to awaken you as he takes a picture. ‘Cute’ he thinks, ‘so fucking cute.’ His chest fills with a warmth that only you have made familiar to him. But almost immediately, the fear returns again.
How long until his life begins to fall apart again? Before he fucks up again or before the universe decides to take you away from him? That anticipation wasn’t something that he could live with. It’s selfish but he can’t do it. Everything seems to be too good, life suddenly treating him well. But does he deserve it? Does he deserve you? He keeps his thoughts to himself, instead taking the next two days to distance himself from you which makes things worse, sparking an argument where he says things he won’t be able to take back.
Now he lays alone.
Made to rest with regrets he’ll have for the rest of his life. He reaches the end of the album, the last photo being you sleeping on his chest. He only took one. Never the sentimental type he told himself but now he thinks those are the photos he’ll look back on when he’s old and alone, drowning in his vast sea of regret. (Maybe he’ll turn out like his dad after all.)
Yeah….
Sukuna should have taken more photos of you.

eddie finds you with a migraine and you're stubborn
eddie munson x fem!reader
cw: established relationship, a mix of angst and fluff (you just aren’t feeling well), migraines and talk of past medical experiences, there’s like a hint of a dom/sub relationship but only for a moment I swear
author's note: this is the first fic I've ever posted and it's for the migraine girlies. I have another migraine-related fic idea that I've been thinking about writing so we''ll see what happens. this fic a culmination of my personal experiences with migraines and wishing Eddie could be here and force me to take my medication when I act like I don't need it.
Thank you @munson-blurbs and @corroded-hellfire for reading it and pushing me every time I come up with an idea and yelling at me to write it, love you both <3
The sound of Eddie's boots echo through the hallways of his apartment complex as he finally arrives home from work, pulling his mittens off his hands and stuffing them in his jacket pockets. The weather this week has been horrible, the garage is freezing, and he nearly tripped over a creeper that someone left in the middle of the room. He’s pretty sure the new guy, Gunther, left it there when he went to grab some parts. Everyone in the room, including Wayne, saw the way his arms flailed and he almost fell on his face. The only thing that kept him going was knowing you would be there at home waiting for him at the end of the day. All he wanted to do right now was curl up with you on the couch under some blankets and watch some gory horror movies all night. You had mentioned trying out the new Chinese place down the road, maybe you guys could just have it delivered so neither of you need to leave the comforts of your warm home. He would have been home sooner but you needed a few things for a recipe you wanted to try soon and he offered to pick them up after work.
Eddie finally reaches the door to the apartment and fumbles with the keys, his hands still freezing despite the warm mittens he wore outside. He curses under his breath, eventually grabbing the right key amongst all the identical ones hanging on his keyring. Heaving a huge sigh of relief, Eddie finally unlocks the door and steps inside to find the apartment dark and chilly. The streetlights illuminate part of the living room through the half open blinds. A young chocolate lab runs over to greet Eddie, his nails scraping the floors as he skids across, excitedly jumping up to greet his human after being gone all day. Eddie bends down to give him some scratches and pat his pack.
“Hey Yogi, did you keep the place safe today? You really are the best dog, aren’t you?” After about 30 seconds of roughhousing with the pup, he stands back up to flick on a light. He goes over to your small kitchen and sets down the small bag of groceries. Eddie takes his time putting everything away, humming to himself as he shelves the chicken stock and adobo. Once all the items are put away, Eddie looks around and takes in the state of the apartment.
The faint scent of a lavender candle wafting through the area and your water bottle is left on the coffee table. His jacket is hung up in the small coat closet and he unties his boots, placing them in front of one of the heat ducts and swearing he’ll put them on the shoe rack once they’re fully dry. There’s no sign of you whatsoever apart from your bottle and the blanket you usually use haphazardly draped across the edge of the couch.
The place is oddly silent for this time of day. Normally if you were home you’d have some sort of music playing, usually a playlist split between the two of you with your preferred music in it. Either that or you would have some tv show on for background noise. The space heater wasn’t on and it didn’t feel like it had been on for some time now. All the heat coming from the heat ducts was leaving through the old windows so those heaters were necessary to prevent the apartment from feeling like a walk-in freezer every winter. Eddie knew you had to be home - your bag was hanging next to your coat and you wouldn’t go anywhere without at least notifying him. He turns around back to Yogi, happily wagging his tail and looking up at him, and whispers, “Hey, where’s mom? Go find mom for me.” He motions for Yogi to go ahead and he happily obliges, trotting towards the closed bedroom door.
It’s not fully shut, open only a crack so Yogi could come inside if he so chooses. The dog sticks his nose inside to open it more and pushes through it. Eddie silently follows behind him. The room is pitch black thanks to the blackout curtains on the window, a gift from your parents when you and Eddie finally found an apartment together. Eddie then realizes what’s going on.
You had struggled with migraines for a majority of your life with them getting progressively worse and more frequent in the last three years. You’re on a few different medications now to make it more manageable but you still have your bad days, and today is looking like one of them. Frankly, he should have known this was going to happen. Bad weather was always a trigger for you and you had commented on the barometer this morning as you both were getting ready for the day. He was stupid to just brush that off as small talk while you both were still half asleep. You knew a migraine was coming.
Eddie sees you curled up on his side of the bed with a sleep mask over your eyes. You’re grimacing under it in the fetal position and what sounds to be whimpering. Before Eddie goes inside, he tiptoes over to the light switch he just flipped and turns the lights off, the streetlights being the only thing illuminating once more. He sees some movement out of the corner of his eye coming from the bedroom and tiptoes back over to your room. Yogi is taking a step back before jumping up onto the bed, taking his usual spot curled up behind your knees with his head resting on your leg. He even lets out a little sigh when he settles into a comfortable position. Eddie steps inside the room and closes the door behind him. You pick your head up just a little bit and lift the sleep mask, wincing at the shooting pain from behind your eyes to the top of your head and call out a strained, “Ed?”
Eddie slowly walks over to his side of the bed, trying to keep as quiet as possible so the floor would creak as little as possible. Once he’s close enough, he reaches down and cups your cheek, stroking it with his thumb and replying with a quiet, “Hey bub, how are you feeling?”
You mumble, “Not great, but you’re home now so I’m already feeling a little better.”
His hands are warm in stark contrast with the cold air circulating the apartment. You nuzzle his hand with your cheek which makes Eddie smile. Eddie moves down to kneel in front of you. You look tired, your eyes only half open with no life in them. He had seen you like this countless times before but it still hurt him every single time. Migraines sucked all the life out of you and Eddie wished he could do something to help you. There were countless times you had to cancel plans because you had a migraine attack and felt so much guilt over it, but Eddie didn’t care. He’d rather lay in bed with you until you feel better than go out and do something when you’re obviously in pain.
He remembered an attack you had last year, it left you crying and asking Eddie to take you to the hospital. You were hyperventilating and complaining that your arm had gone numb. No amount of medication was working and you couldn’t take the searing pain any longer. He had to help you out to the car, only wearing one of his worn band shirts that you stole from Eddie a long time ago and a pair of pajama shorts. You two didn’t even make it out of the apartment parking lot when the medication you took finally kicked in all at once. It was one of the scariest times of his life and he swore it would never happen again.
Eddie nods, already going through his mental list of things that he needs to do to help you feel better, asking, “Have you taken anything today?” You shake your head no before a wave of pain hits you, causing you to shut your eyes again and bury your face in the pillow with a low pained groan. Eddie sits there, worried but also confused. Why didn’t you take anything? He got up and went over to your side of the bed to open your bedside drawer. It was split into two parts, one with the items you used before bed but the other half held all your medications, including every painkiller known to man. There was a giant unopened bottle of Excedrin, a bottle of Advil, and even the migraine medication prescribed by your doctor. You certainly weren’t low on anything. His attention is turned back to you when you roll onto your back, your migraine moving exclusively to the side of your head that was touching the pillow therefore it hurt too much to lay on your side. Unfortunately, you moving meant Yogi wasn’t able to lay on your legs anymore so he huffed and jumped off the bed.
“Sweetheart, why haven’t you taken anything?” Eddie gets onto the bed to sit down next to you, his hand going back to your face. Your eyes open once more, squinting at the minute level of light coming in from behind the curtains. You whine and answer tiredly,
“I don’t need them.”
Your boyfriend sits up, completely perplexed by your answer. Did he hear you correctly? He takes you in again, noting the noise cancelling earplugs in your ears and how much you keep clenching your jaw, something that he knows will only make the pain worse.
“Wait, what? Honey…,” Eddie stammers, wincing at the volume of his exclamation and watching you do the same. “Listen, I love you. I love you more than everything in the world, but frankly I think you look and sound like shit. You look like you’re in a lot of pain right now.”
He watches you pout and smiles a little bit, happy to see even a small sign of life in his girlfriend again. “Wow Eddie, rude.”
“Why won’t you take the medication?” he repeats.
“I don’t need it. The pain isn’t that bad, I’ve felt worse.”
“Ok but you have the means to stop the pain NOW so why not do that? Don’t wait until you’re in agony to take something.”
Eddie doesn’t wait for a response. He gets up and leaves the room with your dog following behind like the loyal pet he is. You hear two sets of footsteps walk through the apartment and then the faint sound of running water. You assumed he just left to let you rest so you pulled the blankets up over your head to try and get to sleep. He returns again a minute later, Yogi in tow and your refilled water bottle in hand. There’s a shift in weight on the mattress, which you assume to be from Eddie, followed by Yogi hopping onto the bed and just standing in the middle of it, as if he’s there just to watch you and make sure you do as you’re told.
Eddie slowly takes the blanket off your head and ignores your protests. He opens up the water bottle and places it on your bedside table. With his other hand he holds out a little pink pill, the medication prescribed by your doctor, as well as two Excedrin. “Cmon, take this,” he asks, moving his hand closer to you when you shake your head no, “Babe, you need to take this. Please.”
There’s no response from you this time. Eddie carefully puts the medication down on the table next to your water. He decides to make it so you can’t ignore him, pulling the covers up and climbs under them next to you. His eyes quickly adjust to the darkness and looks you right in the eye.
“Listen, I don’t understand why you refuse to take your medication. You have a chronic condition that is easily fixed by a few little pills. Also…” Eddie leans in so your noses are practically touching, maintaining eye contact the entire time. “Think about the creator of that little pill. That nice, strong painkiller. Think about the scientists that made that little pill for you,” he says. You’re looking at him confused as he continues speaking, “Think about how sad he must be that you aren’t taking that pill. He worked so hard to make it for you and you’re being a stubborn little brat.”
You mutter, “I’m not a brat,” and try to roll over, but a hand shoots out and grabs your arm before you could fully turn away from him.
Eddie leans into your ear and you feel his curly fringe tickle your neck. His voice deepens in a way that has always made you squirm and goes, “You’re gonna be a good girl and take your medicine, okay?”
You don’t turn your back to him, but you also don’t fully turn to face him again. The only part of you that turns is your head to look back at him. He’s giving you a look that he only ever gave you in the bedroom, the look he gave you when you were pushing his buttons because you thought it was funny and knew he was going to teach you a lesson when he finally got you alone - in a consensual way, of course. He can see it in your eyes that he got you, that once his demeanor changed you would be more likely to listen to him. To ensure you would really listen to him, he moves his hand from your arm to touch your cheek again and asks, more softly this time, “Take it for me, please.”
Eddie watches you think for a second before sitting up - slowly, because you were still in pain, and takes the covers off of your head. You look over at the dog laying at the end of your bed, now asleep. Eddie takes the covers off his head and turns to the bedside table to hand you the pills and water bottle. He watches you swallow the pills and drink around half of the water in your water bottle. Eddie places his hand on your inner thigh to squeeze it and is finally smiling again. Yogi seems to sense that things are better now so he jumps off the bed and trots over to his doggy bed and lays down there. Once you’re finished with the bottle, he takes it from you and places it back on the table. He asks, “Now, was that so difficult?”
“Extremely difficult.”
“Ok, well we’re gonna stay in bed until everything kicks in. Once you’re better we can take the pup out for a quick—” Eddie leans in to mouth the word walk, so Yogi doesn’t hear him, “—and then we’ll order some take out. Sounds good to you?”
You nod silently, finally smiling at him for the first time since he got home today. He presses a light kiss to your forehead and you flinch away from him.
“Ok, yeah. Forgot to not touch your head when it hurts, sorry.”
Eddie watches you settle back down in bed and reluctantly gets out of the warm bed. The cold is seeping in through the windows and all he wants to do at that moment is just stay under the covers with you, even if it means sleeping in his clothes. You roll over to watch Eddie as he softly treads across the room to the dresser. He starts off by removing his rings one at a time to place them in a little jewelry tray, listening to each piece clink as they hit the ceramic. His hair is taken out of the bun he kept it in all day and he scratches at his head to relieve the tension from having it pulled back all day.
His shirt comes next, pulling it over his head and revealing the skeleton wings tattooed across his back. You’re stuck there admiring the way his muscles move in the dim light. Eddie complains about how tiring it is being a mechanic but you can’t deny it’s doing wonders for his body. He used to be so lanky but now that he’s been doing this job for a while you’ve noticed how strong he has gotten.
He’s about to put his shirt in the laundry when you wolf whistle at him. Eddie whips his head around to look at you, smirking when he sees you giggling and crawling over to the other side of the bed now wrapping a blanket around yourself to keep warm. He balls his shirt up and throws it in your direction and you swat it away, making him cackle.
“Oh nothings wrong with you, you’re fine!”
You gasp at his accusation and reach down to the floor to grab the shirt so you could throw it back at him. As you’re grasping for it, there’s some shuffling and movement going on as Eddie goes back to getting changed. His work pants are thrown into the laundry basket with his underwear coming off moments later. You’re still watching him, now just admiring his body as a whole while he digs for a comfortable pair of pajama pants, eventually landing on a red pair with reindeer on them that your aunt gave him for Christmas this year. The winds outside from the storm are billowing, meaning more of the frigid outside air is leaking in through your windows.
Instead of coming back to bed like you thought he would, Eddie leaves the bedroom and goes out to the linen closet. You have a small collection of blankets in there and he pulls out the thickest one in there. He returns seconds later and lays it out on the bed before climbing in beside you. Your eyelids are already getting heavy when he returns to you. You instinctively reach out for him and he pulls you close, allowing you to rest your head on his chest with a hand stroking your hair. You roll over a bit to bury your face in the crook of his neck, mumbling, “I’m sorry for being a brat earlier. Thank you for helping me.” He pecks your forehead again and you don’t flinch this time.
“Don’t worry about it sweetheart, I don’t mind taking care of you. Now get some sleep, okay?”
You nod against him and Eddie notices your breathing changing a few minutes later when you finally fall asleep. It’s the first time you’ve been able to fall asleep, not that you would tell him. You didn’t want him to worry about you or become a burden, but Eddie would always be there for you if you needed him.

Letting my freak flag fly 🎏 imagine Zayne dressed in a posh tuxedo at an even posher dinner event celebrating some award he's won and you keep feeling him up under the table cloth. He snaps and tells you to meet him in the bathroom, thinking he's going to make you pay for all your teasing, but no lol you tell him you want him to manually pleasure you with his posh gloves on 😁 and then he has to keep wearing them until the event ends lol
My Brian when I'm bored, I swear....
My dear friend, I am always in your debt for how wonderful your mind is. Thank you for blessing me with such an image 🙇🏾🙇🏾🙇🏾
My ask box is officially back open! Send in your requests, thoughts, and head cannons and I might write a little something for you! Please read the rules first!
Warnings: public sex, fingering, gloves kink, exhibitionism (if you squint)
You place your hand in between his thighs, inching closer and closer to his crotch. He lets out a cough to disguise his groan as you begin to run your fingers along his clothed hard on forming. His breath is shallow as you trace a star along his crotch. You thanked the powers at be for how long the table cloth was. He leans over to your ear and covers his mouth.
“Behave yourself.”
You bite back a groan as he shifts to move your hand lower. He pulls back and rejoins the conversation at the table. You lean over to his ear and cover your mouth.
“Make me.”
His eyes flash with something but he’s is usual composed self before you can pin point it.
“Will you excuse us a moment?”
He stands up from the table and you follow suit. He offers you his arm and you link yours with his. You both walk calmly out the ballroom toward the restrooms. Once inside he gives you a once over.
“I usually would try to teach you some manners about these situations. But seeing as you’re dressed like this I don’t think I’m in my right mind enough to do so.”
You gulp watching his hand reach toward your dripping core. He hikes up your dress and presses himself into you.
“Keep the gloves on.”
“As you wish.”
He runs a finger over your clothed core a you bite back a moan.
“I’m suspecting you want me to accept my reward with you still on my fingers is that correct?”
You nod feverishly as he hooks a finger underneath your underwear. He presses two fingers into your dripping hole and thrust them in. The added texture of the gloves makes the stretch feel heavenly. You knew better than to thrust yourself onto them so with all your willpower you hold yourself still. His pace is merciless, fucking into you hard and fast. You grip his shoulders for support as you pull him in your a hot kiss. You weren’t gonna last much longer as a groan slips past your lips. He kisses down your jaw and neck as he pumps faster into you.
“Either you cum now or you wait till after the banquet. The choice is yours.”
He pumps into you once more as you clench down onto his fingers. You bite back the moan as you shake underneath him. He pulls his fingers out and pulls back from you. You both quickly fix yourselves up and head out the restroom one at a time. Once back at the table you examine your handiwork, the glove is still damp, your wetness clinging the gloves to his fingers. Soon he goes up to the stage and accepts himself award with the hand still smeared with your juices. You feel a gush in your already ruined underwear as he gives a quick speech. You can’t focus as you watch those two fingers grip the award, your head swimming with desire. When he arrives back at the table he holds his other hand out to you.
“My date is not feeling well this evening. I think it is best if I take her home now.”
He explains to the table as you gather yourself and take his hand. You already know what’s in store for you when you leave, the excitement leaving you dripping once again.

Omgg girl I'M so excited to see what you thought of Part 3! It's a bit slower than Part 2, but we've got some big emotional hurdles in this one... (loll mommy needs some you time. 💜💜)
I love this description btw Really painted a picture in my head 😍👏
Aww thank you so much! I went to Seattle a few years ago in the fall, and it was absolutely beautiful with the trees changing their colors and basically painting the ground with different colors. 💜
Ouch. That line probably haunted her afterward 😂🙈 (but I loved their banter! You can totally see they have a close and loving relationship 💕) And her dad's optimism and "fate" was so adorable ☺️
Oh definitely, poor thing. She's so very done with bears too. 😅 Aww I was hoping people would see that, even in this small glimpse of her and her dad's relationship. I always find it so adorable when dads are the bigger "sap" in the relationship. 😂
Ah, our boy entered work mode 🤓
Oh you BET loll!!
Oh God 🙈 No, I can't watch him leave alone. At least get Sam!!! Oh God, no, no, no, no... 🫣 I also realized in that moment why my readers are usually "from the same foxhole" because this is exactly what I can't do. Freaks me the fuck out and gives me so much anxiety. Like, I have to be there 😂 I don't know how you do it. Bravo, friend 😅👏
The tensiooooon loll.
Ooh that makes sense loll. For me I thrive in that angst for some reason. Like, making it through all the uncertainty and fear appeals to my hopeless romantic heart to have the battered hero eventually come home to the one he loves. 🥹💗
But yeah, she really shouldn't be going out there on a suss ankle in the middle of winter. 🫠🫠 (Also I'm saving that worried Ross gif LLOL)
Ooooh, btw, super interesting what you said about the bear meat! I figured something like this. They did wear bear fur, right? And I know people back then never wasted anything, so makes sense they'd eat the meat, too 😄
Ooh yeah I learned about that from watching modern survivalists talk about their experiences on Joe Rogan's podcast lmao. They literally eat the whole caribou, moose, etc. Cartilage and bone and all. 🤢 So it still goes on today, believe it or not! But oh yeah, when America was still being settled, for example, certain Native Americans tribes would trade with European settlers and American traders for furs.
I cackled 😂 Love her feistiness!
bahaha I'm glad you liked that little internal monologue. 😘
Aww 😭😭 Poor thing... 😢 (Loved how she explained not taking his room. While invasive, I think if Dean came back to this in his room, he would've melted 🫠🫶)
Honestly you're probably right loll. At first he'd be like "wtf?" But then he'd probably melt and smile ruefully/soft. 💕
I knew it was a long shot, especially when her father wasn't with Dean, but still breaks my heart for her 💔😢
Yeah I feel like we all knew it was headed here, but it was still heartbreaking for me to even write too. 😭💙
The anxiety is long forgotten. All is forgiven... *sighs dreamily* 😍😍
Ahaha that's what I hoped you'd say. 😏💓
Oh no, you come back here, young man!!! It wouldn't be Dean, though, without the "you can't date me, I'm dangerous and not good enough" freak out 😂
LOLL I imagine you grabbing him by his ear. 😂 But right? I feel like in any kind of canon setting, you have to deal with Dean's (lack of) self-worth, as well with his fear of being a danger to the ones he loves. 💙💙
Legit crying right now 😭😭😭 This is exactly why we always want what's best for him in fanfics. He deserves it so much 🥺
Honestly this is why I keep writing that "deal with your self-worth" stuff when it comes to Dean, because I really wished he could've found his happiness like Sam got in the end of S15. 😭
Love that little detail. Makes such a huge difference ❤️
Aw thank you!! That's one of those details I hope people notice when they read this chapter. 🥹
Oooooh, I so can't wait to read the finale now! This is absolutely amazing, Alex! It's got the right amount of angst and heartbreak, only to haul me back into this sweet cabin romanticism 😍🤍🤍🤍
I so hope you enjoy the final part, my friend!! 🥹🥹 This little series was so fun, especially to explore the omegaverse trope/world with some Alpha Dean, giving those post-S15 angsty feels. In a way, it's kind of a S15 fix-it fic. And idk if you remember, but our convo way back about spicy goodness in a cabin in front of the fireplace is more or less what inspired the next chapter (and the whole fic, really). 😂💜
Against the Wind - Part 3
Pairing: Alpha!Dean Winchester x F. Omega!Reader

AN: Merry Christmas! I'm dropping this chapter a day early for you guys. Now, here's the full story, and what Dean is going to do about it…

Part 3: Nothing Left to Burn
“We should start heading back,” you say, looking up at the mid-afternoon sky. It was starting to dip toward the top of the trees in the distance. “It’s going to take a couple of hours to get back before nightfall.”
“Yep, it’s about that time.” Your dad groans as he starts to haul himself back to his feet, where you two had been taking a rest against a tree. “Jesus, I need a new pair of knees. Help your old man, would ya?”
You smirk as you help the middle-aged alpha to his feet. His joints pop and his back cracks as he stretches his arms high.
“Damn, Dad. You’re creakier than the trees,” you quip.
He tosses you a wry look. “Just you wait. In a few years, after wrangling a couple of pups, you’re gonna feel my pain.”
“A few years?” you laugh. “Did I miss the part where I actually met a decent guy, let alone one worth mating?”
“Oh, you’ll find him,” your dad nods, slinging his rifle back over his shoulder. “Or he’ll find you, like your mother did with me.”
You follow his lead with your own rifle, falling into step with him through the forest clearing. It’s a beautiful day in late November. Already you can see the edge of frost on the shrubs and half-barren trees. The ground is littered with dead leaves painted in browns, oranges, and dappled with reds.
“You met her in college. It’s not like you guys defied fate,” you say.
“Yeah, but if she hadn’t walked into my psychology class by mistake, and stolen my latte at the campus café, maybe you wouldn’t be here,” he teases.
You huff and roll your eyes. Yes, your parents are a walking cliché. And by far, your dad’s the bigger sap.
“I’m telling you. Sometimes, the universe does us a solid,” he says, reinforcing his point with a literal pointed finger your way. You push it away from your face in exasperation.
“You might wanna watch where you’re going,” you say, “before you roll your ankle on another pebble.”
“You kidding me?” he exclaims. “That thing was the size of my fist! You’re lucky I didn’t break an ankle. Make you carry me all the way back to the car.”
You snort. “Right. Think I’ll just leave you for the bears…”
You trail off when a sound reaches you and your father. The sound of leaves crunching in the underbrush, quick and light. Your father’s shoulders straighten with alertness, the alpha’s head cocking toward the sound.
“Maybe I spoke too soon about the bears,” you whisper. He shakes his head.
“Nah, too light. It’s probably an elk.” He tosses you a smile. “We’ll have one hell of a haul to bring home, plus a good story to tell your mom.”
Your mother, the vegan veterinarian?
“Yeah, because she loves elk meat.”
“Would you quit being a smartass for two minutes? You go a little west. I’ll see where it’s at,” he says.
He quietly wracks his rifle and steps away from the clearing, farther into the woods. You do what he says, veering west. You don’t see the elk, and soon enough, you don’t see your dad either. You do hear a whistling on the wind, and the cold of it cuts right through your coat.
Unease prickles down your spine, though you don’t know why.
“Dad?” you whisper-yell, trying not to spook whatever animal might be out there.
A gunshot rings out, along with your dad’s voice in a shout. Your eyes widen in alarm, and you call his name, taking off in a run to find him.
You end up rising over a hill you hadn’t crossed before, but you see your dad below; you recognize his bright blue puffer jacket that Mom got him for his birthday. You call his name, and he looks up at you with fear in his eyes.
Not for himself, but for you.
“Go, get out of here!” he shouts and waves you off.
“What? What is it?!” you yell.
He shakes his head, like he’s unable to answer your question. “Run! Run and don’t stop!”
He moves further into the denser trees until you can no longer make him out. With a frustrated huff, you sprint down the hill and try to follow his tracks with your gun at the ready. On the wind, in the distance, you still hear his voice.
Until it cuts off abruptly, along with the terrible cracking of bone.
You gasp and halt in your steps. What the fuck was that?
Tears fill your eyes and blur your vision. Despite what you heard, you realize just how very alone you are in the clearing. Fear and adrenaline make your breath tremulous and shallow, but you can’t just give up. You search for a while longer, making yourself hoarse calling out to your father.
No matter what direction you take, you never find him.
“I ran back to town to get the rangers,” you say, brushing a couple of stray tears from your cheeks. You sniff, licking your lips and swallowing a hard lump of emotion in your throat.
Dean continues to listen intently with his brows furrowed.
“It was too late,” you sigh. “He disappeared. They explained it away, thought a grizzly bear got him, but I know it wasn’t a damn bear.”
You shake your head as the tears come harder and faster, all over again. Dean’s jaw clenches in sympathy.
“No one believed me about what I heard, not even my mom,” you confess. Your mother had been too distraught to entertain “anything else.” No matter how strongly you’d felt about your suspicions, you understood that she just wanted to put your father’s death behind her after his funeral. Part of you had stopped believing yourself.
A stronger part of you hadn’t been able to let it go, however. So you had to come back here and try to find any trace of your father.
When you finally run out of words, you see the proverbial gears turning in Dean’s eyes.
“What’re you thinking?” you hazard to ask. You can’t help but reach out and grab at his wrist. “Do you…do you believe me?”
Dean’s gaze softens a fraction. He lays his larger hand over yours.
“Yeah, I do,” he says. “I’m willing to bet on what took him too.”
He squeezes your hand before he lets you go and gets up from his seat. He soon returns with his father’s journal in hand. He reclaims his spot across from you, sitting close to your thigh on the end of the chaise. His gaze falls away from your face to the journal in hand, and he flips it open to a page he knows from memory. You suck in a subtle breath to steel yourself when he turns it toward you—to the very page that had given you nightmares the first night you read it.
Wendigo.
“Nasty son of a bitch,” he says. “It hibernates for decades at a time, but when it surfaces, it knows how to get through long winters like this. It takes a handful of people at a time, feeding on its victims slow.”
You feel sick at that, but still, his words elicit a sliver of hope.
“So there’s a chance he could still be alive,” you say, in a brighter voice. Dean gives you a measured look, dragging a hand over his mouth.
“Look, I’m gonna be straight with you,” he says. “It’s been months, right?”
You nod, though you realize what he’s saying. Don’t get your hopes up.
“But there’s a chance,” you insist, with tears in your eyes. Dean holds your gaze for a moment, and he nods. He squeezes your knee this time, then shuts the journal with one hand as he moves to stand.
You follow him on your crutches over to the kitchen. He pulls out a drawer and retrieves a folded-up map. Tossing the journal on the kitchen counter, he opens up the map and lays it out flat next to the sink. It’s a map of the mountain, and the entire forest surrounding the mountain of Big Sky. Dean’s eyes flick up to yours.
“Where did it happen?”
Dean has packed up his supplies and put on his winter gear. You watch him from the living room sofa, trying to hide your unease. You know he’s doing this for you, but there’s part of you that doesn’t want to see him leave, for his own sake, and selfishly for yours.
“Try not to go outside again unless you absolutely friggin’ have to,” he warns. “And if you do, don’t go too far. Make sure you take a weapon, preferably a gun and a knife.”
“Dean, I know,” you reply. You get up and hover by the couch while he finishes lacing his snowshoes and hooks his backpack on. You’re unable to hide your concern.
“You shouldn’t be going out there alone,” you say.
Dean tosses you a grin. It has the shade of how he was with you before the “journal” incident—self-assured, a hint teasing.
“Don’t worry. This isn’t exactly my first solo mission,” he says, though his devil-may-care attitude soon subsides into something more serious. “If I’m not back inside a week, you need to ration out the supplies here as best you can. That new meat in the fridge should last you a while.”
By new meat, you have to assume he means the bear.
“When you’re healed up, you can make your way down the mountain and back to town with that map I left for you. Kitchen counter,” he says.
Your frown worsens. You step closer to him with the pretense of closing and locking the front door for him after he leaves.
“Dean,” you say, stopping him at the door. He turns to look at you over his shoulder. You hesitate, fidgeting slightly, but you gain your courage.
“If you don’t come back, I’m going to find you,” you warn him.
Dean frowns. He turns to you fully and tilts his head as if to say, come again?
“No, you’re not, Omega. You understand me?”
His terseness doesn’t scare you anymore. You glare up at him, quite literally standing your ground.
“You didn’t leave me out there when you didn’t even know me. You think I’d do that to you?” you counter.
At that, Dean has to pause, tilting his head slightly. He almost smiles at your stubbornness, and just like that, his annoyance dissipates. It softens him, making him reach for your arm in an assuring squeeze.
“I appreciate the thought, but trust me. I’d rather you look out for you,” he says.
Right now, you don’t really give a shit about what he’d rather, but you don’t say so. It’s written across your face anyway. Dean’s mouth tugs at a smile.
“All right, I’m out,” he says. “Save me some of Yogi in there.”
You huff, but you shut the door behind him after he steps out onto the porch, down the steps, and beyond. You move to the living room window and watch him get farther and farther away from the cabin.
Despite the crackling fireplace, you begin to feel cold inside.
After the first three days, you’ve managed to clean the entire cabin, top to bottom. With the “new meat,” you make a large batch of soup to last you throughout the week. You freeze a couple of servings for Dean.
For when he gets back.
You try to fill up your time in other ways, like attempting, and failing, and trying again more successfully to make bread from scratch. You haven’t binge-watched every season of The Great British Bake-Off for nothing.
Then you organize all of the alpha’s books by author. You wash all the laundry you can find and fold everything neatly on his bed, and you put away the couple of sweaters you’ve borrowed from him into your own dresser.
On Day Four, you create a nest of pillows and blankets in the middle of the living room floor. In your anxiety, it’s a reflex you can’t help. Your initial instinct was to nest in his room, but you thought that was too invasive of his privacy, so the living room was your next best option. At least his scent is still somewhat imbued into his favorite chair, and around his records. (You do steal another shirt of his to sleep with though.)
On Day 8, your worry becomes a living thing. You pace the living room and the kitchen on your crutches, probably wearing down the wooden ends of them while you debate what to do. Despite what Dean told you to do if he didn’t get back, you know you’re not just going to leave him out there. But the reality is, you have a problem of mobility.
With a frustrated huff, you decide to try setting your problem foot down normally. Your ankle hurts, a sharp pain shooting up your calf and nearly sending you to the floor.
“Fuck!” you gasp, both in shock and aggravation.
You know this isn’t just a sprain. At best it could be a fracture, since no bone is protruding under the skin. It still means you shouldn’t go after him either.
But you’ll have to try.
After you manage to clamber back onto your feet using the crutches, you put together some supplies, including the extra med kit in case he’s hurt. (Or in case something happens to you while you’re out there.) This is a bad idea, you think, even as you heave on your jacket.
Then, you hear the sound of a lock turning, before the front door shoves open.
A yelp of surprise escapes you, though you soon realize that it’s Dean, looking worn down and ragged, but alive.
“Home, sweet home,” he says wryly, but he looks relieved to see you too.
You help him sink down onto the chaise, where he stretches out with a groan. He tips his head back on the cushion. His jacket is torn in a few places. Blood has dried on his cheek, his neck, and near his hairline, and you worry about where else he might be hurt.
You quickly go to the kitchen and pour a bowl of warm water and grab a hand towel. You bring it all back to Dean, where you set your supplies on the floor and sit down beside him on the cushion.
“Are you okay?” You try to calm down your racing heart (and the nauseous feeling in your stomach) as you help him work open his jacket, followed by his shirt. Discreetly, your eyes take in the expanse of his tanned skin and pebbling nipples exposed to the cool air, even with the fire roaring nearby.
“Yeah, just peachy,” he says.
You smile a little. You take the towel, dampen it, and begin to clear the blood from his cheek, his neck, and the upper part of his torso—even his scuffed hands. Then you squeegee out the blood in the bowl and continue your task. Dean subtly watches you, his gaze a bit softer than usual.
He eventually looks you over with a frown as he takes in the way you’re dressed, and then the backpack by the door.
“What, about to go for a little afternoon stroll?” His sarcasm turns to annoyance. “Didn’t I tell you to stay put until you can actually walk?”
Your mouth flattens into a line, but any anger you might’ve felt is waylaid by your relief. It brings tears to your eyes.
“I thought something happened to you,” you say.
Dean hesitates. Your hand has stilled on his chest. He softens a little more, grasping your hand in his larger one.
“I’m fine,” he says. “The job’s done.”
Your eyes widen. “You found the…thing? The wendigo?”
His mouth pulls at a cocky grin, tempered only by his tiredness, and the way he’s looking at you. “Sure did. Tried to take a chunk outta my ass, but a little aerosol deodorant and a lighter’s all you need to barbecue that ugly son of a bitch.”
You smile in amusement, but all too soon, it fades.
“Did you find my dad?” you ask.
Dean’s expression sobers as well.
“Yeah, I think so.” His face gentles. “Was he wearing a blue puffer jacket?”
Your lips tremble. As that horrible realization dawns, you break down into tears. You already know from his tone that your father was dead when he found him.
Dean guides you down to him by your shoulder and wraps his arms around you. You bury your face into his neck, and your body shakes with quiet sobs.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he murmurs into your hair. “Believe me, I am.”
He holds you close, warm and secure. He allows you to stay there as long as you need, where you feel safe, even if this world has become a colder, darker place.
After a few minutes longer, your intense sobs begin to subside. You don’t mean to, but you turn your nose into Dean’s neck, scenting him on reflex. It calms you down, but it has the unintended effect of arousing him. The alpha rumbles in pleasure.
You blink in surprise and lean back enough to see his face. Dean’s lips press together as he looks down on you; he seems embarrassed, but you also see the heat reflected in his gaze, so intense in those forest greens. Your face begins to warm in a blush.
He brushes your cheek with his thumb, collecting your tears there. You glance down at his plush lips again, your own parting with a breath. His hand moves to cup your cheek, framing the side of your face. Please…
He finally drags you to him in a kiss.
It’s heady and passionate, and also comforting. Your fingers wind into his hair, your nails scraping along his scalp. He growls as his arm tightens around your waist. You shiver in delight.
You press a hand to the center of his chest, giving you leverage to rise up and slide your thigh over his legs. There you sink into his lap. Your breasts pillow against his chest when you lay on top of him, your elbows digging into the cushion on either side of his head. His hands move down your body, feeling down your sides, squeezing your hips, and then your ass. You hum into his mouth and roll your hips into his. Already you feel him hardening through his jeans.
But somehow he breaks away from your kiss, even though your hands are still in his hair.
“Sorry…we can’t do this,” he says, with difficulty.
He sits upright and nearly makes you fall over in the process. He grabs your arm before you tip over, but he keeps himself at arm’s length from you after you’re forced to slide off his lap, sitting on the end of the chaise instead. Your eyes glisten with hurt and confusion.
“Why?” is all you can ask.
He doesn’t want to answer.
“Dean?” you ask, inching towards him. He raises a hand to keep you at bay.
“Just…it’s not a good idea, okay?” he says, with the clenching of his jaw.
That cuts into you even more. Your heart pulses with pain.
“Do you know what your scent is to me?” you ask, in a voice slightly trembling. You glance at the fireplace that has dimmed to embers. “It’s better than that fire at full blaze. Every time I went camping with my dad, that’s what I loved the most. Sitting by that fire, talking, laughing, and for the millionth time, telling the story of when I gave my sister micro bangs in her sleep when I was ten.”
You wipe a stray tear from your eye, but you respect the distance he’s put between you two.
“The second I met you, I knew what this was,” you say. “I think you know it too.”
Dean shakes his head. His face betrays his wariness, his desire, and his obstinance.
“Look…even if that’s true, you don’t want this with me,” he says. His handsome face becomes marred by a frown, his brows knitting together. “I don’t even own this place. Besides my car, I ain’t got much of anything to give.”
You shake your head in dismay. “I know that’s not true.”
“I’m not bullshitting,” he says. “Listen…I’ve never had much. And what I did have, I found a way to lose. I’ve let my people down. Just about everyone I’ve ever…”
You can’t help but reach out a hand for him, your heart hurting, but he leans away, pressing himself back against the seat. It cuts even deeper into you; now though, you wonder if it’s because he feels the same gut feeling you do when he’s this close—close enough to touch, but almost afraid of the burn.
“They’ve been hurt, almost always because of me.” His voice shakes imperceptibly, with a wry, humorless turn of his lips. “So take it from me, sweetheart. You’ll wanna steer clear.”
“Dean,” you say. You expel a breath, digesting his words, while thinking of what you want to say.
“I’ve never not felt safe with you,” you confess. “Even when I screwed up and drove you crazy, I’m sure, I knew you’d never hurt me. The same way I know…”
You reach out a tentative hand to lay in the center of his chest, over his heart. Your thumb brushes the edge of his strange tattoo, over the dark ink in his skin.
“You’re my mate. My one, true mate in this world,” you say, meeting his eyes. “And I want to know you.”
You see inner conflict in the depths of Dean’s eyes, dark green and troubled. You take a chance and lean in, brushing your cheek against his, nuzzling, laying a soft kiss to his cheek.
“Omega,” he warns, but the grit in his voice has little heat.
Or at least, it’s heat of a different kind, as his strong hands once again find your waist. They hold you still, but also hold you to him. Your gentle affection is making him ache, deep in the shadowy cavern of his chest. He’d never admit it, but loneliness had set in there, burrowed deep with a stronghold on his heart. Without knowing, you’ve been carving it out with those gentle hands.
You now slide your hands up his chest and over his shoulders, warm palms on his skin.
“Alpha, I want to know you,” you insist. Quiet, but steady, your voice is a mere brush of words near his ear, against his cheek. “Please.”
Dean’s brows furrow as he briefly shuts his eyes tight. With your whispered plea, the brittle chain of his restraint finally snaps free.
He cradles the back of your head and guides you back into a feverish kiss.
AN: Sorry to cut it off there lol, but the big (steamy) finale is coming up next week! Perhaps a little earlier than Friday. 😘
Next Time:
“Were you nesting, Omega?” he teases, between the sinful meetings of his lips with yours. You hum your affirmation before his tongue swipes across your lower lip, seeking entrance.
You open yourself to him in more ways than one; you slip your hands across his naked shoulders and explore the smooth planes of muscle, the dips and softness in between. You encourage him to lower down, to cover you with the length and broadness of his frame. His weight is a welcome one between your thighs and against the softness of your body.
“Was worried about you,” you whisper a confession against his lips. Dean briefly pauses, meeting your eyes.
“Thanks for waiting up,” he says, with a hint of a smile.
Your lips curve upwards in return.

Best Friend's Brother
This request is literally 10 days old, which, to some, might not seem as a long time. For me however, it is. I'm sorry, but as I've described, I'm just trying to balance writing and school right now, so I'll be writing a little less than before.
Word count: 1,6k (unedited)
could u write a best friend older brother trope josh x reader. luv you works btww xx -anon
I knock on the door, waiting for Beth to open up. We’d planned a movie night while her parents were gone, and Hannah was at Sam’s. Josh was still home, but she told me he wouldn’t be a bother, and would probably stay in his room the whole night.
I have met him many times before, and would even call us friends. Though at the same time, I often wonder if he looks at me like another baby sister, despite only being one year apart. He often gives me a hard time, teasing me and joking around, but most times, I don’t mind. I usually also hope that he never means anything with his small occasional comments, because nothing will happen either way. My best friend’s brother? That would be a problem just waiting to happen.
Josh and I have been drunk together, partied together and been on get togethers together, though I’m not familiar with everyone in their group yet.
I stand outside, my patience running low in the cold weather, wishing I brought a scarf. I hear footsteps coming from inside. Finally. The door unlocks, and a broad, tan Josh in a thin rolled up sweater and some sweatpants stands there, arm against the doorframe. He gives a small smile, looking me over.
“Well, look who decided to come while the parents are out” he coos, a small whistling sound coming out of his lips.
“Well, hello Joshua, care to let me in?”
He smiles, contemplating whether to make this difficult or not. I look around, sighing and waiting for an answer, thinking about shouting Beth’s name and telling her that her brother is being a prick. Luckily, he opens the door further, making space for me to walk inside. “Thank you” I say, trying to hide my smile a bit. I’ve been here many times before, so I immediately know where to hang my coat and leave everything else. Josh keeps standing there, watching me.
“Beth is out, said something about getting snacks for your movie night” He explains, and I nod. The store is not far from here, so she will probably be back soon.
“Well then, do you know which movie she’s got planned?”
“Of course I do, I’m the one who helps pick them out”
I give him a curious and sceptical look, not having heard this before. He keeps his gaze locked on my gaze, a small smirk playing on his lips.
“Have you?”
“Every time”
My mouth opens a little. Beth is always talking about her great taste in movies, never having mentioned this before.
“No, are you serious? Beth has never given you any credit”
“Little sisters… what do you expect?”
I hum, not knowing how to respond to that. I walk inside, him following closely as I sit myself by the kitchen counter.
“So, what movie have you chosen then?” I ask, looking up at him again. Instead of sitting, he just leans against the counter with one arm, body turned my way. I can’t help my gaze, looking over his revealed forearms.
“Something a bit different than usual…” he smirks, eyes following my gaze down to his arms. I break free, leaning forward a bit.
“Okay, what movie?”
“A scary one”
“No”
“Oh yes”
I whine, leaning back again. I hate scary movies, I hate jumpscares and gore. Why can’t people just like normal, funny, cozy stuff?
“Josh, are you serious?”
“And there we go, you’re starting to use my nickname”
“Joshua! Are you serious?”
“Well, that lasted for long”
I sigh, rolling my eyes. This is not how I want to spend my night, and considering that the walk home will be dark and scary, this movie will definitely fuel my fears.
“Hey, calm down, it’s a good movie, maybe you just haven’t seen a good scary movie yet, this one might change your mind about the whole genre” He smiles, a hand going to my arm. I can't help the small blush coming from the touch, his fingers warm and comforting. I don’t want to do this, but I really can’t object when Beth is the one getting everything ready, and I just need to show up and have a good time. Or pretend I’m having a good time.
The door opens, and his hand is immediately removed as Beth comes in, a big bag in her hands. She doesn’t notice me at first.
“Beth!” I exclaim, and she lifts her head, nose a little red from the cold outside.
“Hey, oh sorry, I didn’t have time to go earlier today”
“That’s completely fine, here, let me take it” I state, walking over and taking the bag from her hands as she starts undressing.
“My brother didn’t bother you?”
I look over at him, and he just gives a small laugh, shaking his head and putting his hands up defensively.
“No, he was fine”
“Good, now, let's go” She smiles, leading me away from him, into their living room. She finds a couple of bowls, letting me distribute the snack in them as she works on getting the movie going.
“Okay, so I know you’re not a scary movie-person, but I know this one is really good, so please, keep an open mind”
I laugh a little, thinking back on the fact that Josh is the one who actually picked this out.
“I’ll keep an open mind then”
“Great”
The movie starts, and we both sit down, a blanket over us as the lights dim. At first, the movie seems fine, the occasional jump scare, which scares me much more than it does Beth. Still, I keep watching, body tense and uncomfortable, but I can’t take my eyes off it. We’re in the middle when someone gets violently cut up, and the camera doesn’t bother to show us anything else than the blood and flesh flying everywhere, the gore not stopping. I take a breath, pulling my eyes from the screen and standing up.
“I just need to use the bathroom”
“Gonna puke?”
I laugh a little, the tension in my shoulders easing as she talks.
“No, but if there’s no important information in this sequence, please feel free to skip it, I'll be quick” I say, already making my way to the yellow-lighted hallway. It's light, in contrast to the room I was just in, and that makes me ease up a little more. Gosh, if this was to keep going, I wouldn’t dare walking home tonight.
Suddenly, I hear a click, and the light goes away, leaving me in the dark hallway. I stop, looking around, unsure about what just happened. Another breath escapes my lips, reminding me that I can’t keep holding my breath everytime something startling happens. The hallway looks empty both ways, so I continue further, crossing my fingers that the light in the bathroom at least works.
Before I can react, a couple of strong arms grab me from behind, caging me. I’m about to yell out, but as if anticipating it, the hand goes over my mouth, muffling my screams. I’m slammed into the wall, not too hard, luckily, but I close my eyes before the impact arrives. As I open them again, a smiling Josh is standing in front of me, biting his lips to hold in his laugh. My heart is still beating fast, breaths coming in and out in a rapid manner. I grab his hand roughly, dragging it off my mouth.
“Joshua Washington! Are you fucking insane??”
He bursts out laughing, arms against the wall beside me, holding himself up as he leans over. I shake my head, mouth still a little open in shock, whilst he can’t stop laughing.
“Maybe, but you should’ve seen your face!” He chuckles, one of his hands going to his stomach to compose himself. It’s probably hurting right now from all the laughter.
“Joshua! What the hell is wrong with you!?”
“Okay, okay, calm down, just a little prank on my part” He smiles, finally calming down.
“I have been watching a fucking horror movie, and you pull this shit?”
He bites his lip again, tilting his head a bit to examine me.
“Oh, come on now, you’re totally thinking it’s funny”
“No, I’m not”
“Or you’re into it or something…”
“Wait, what, no I’m not, what kind of sick-”
Before I can process what’s happening, his lips are on me. I feel his breath, his body close, soft lips moving ove mine. My heart is still beating rapidly, but oddly enough, it calms with the way he’s touching me. Tender and carefully, not like himself at all. His hand goes to my waist, body pressing mine into the wall, opening his mouth a little. I hear a little groan leaving his throat. He pulls away, faces close as his eyes go over me, looking up and down. I almost think he looks a little vulnerable, but his signature smirk finds its way to his lips again.
“Well then, calmer now?”
I look at him, confused, conflicted. I scoff, shaking my head a bit.
“No, I think I need a little more help” I state, hand going to the back of his neck, pulling him into me again. Capturing his lips on mine, already opening my mouth. He does the same, one hand on my hips, pulling me into him.
“Hey, finished in the bathroom soon? I’ve paused the movie, the gore is over!” Beth shouts from the living room. We both pull away from each other and look over to the living room, luckily not seeing her there. I look back at him, seeing his chest heaving, hot breaths coming from his mouth. He turns, looking into my eyes.
“Guess we better finish calming you down later” He smiles, pushing himself off me and the wall, walking back to his room.
Fuck, what have I gotten myself into?

I wish you would write a fic where Percy and Vex need to get warm.
Do with that what you will. (It is effing cold here so it’s on my mind) lol
This welcome has been, so nice and warm
900+ words | Gen | Perc'ahlia | TLOVM s3 and C1 compliant, set in the 1-year timeskip.
I wish you would write a fic where... prompt game
EDIT: Now cleaned up and on AO3!
--
Vex loves Percy. I mean, it’s a simple, straightforward fact. So much of him is reflected in Whitestone that it’s impossible not to love the city too.
She might just love it a bit less right now, though. Apparently something about turning Whitestone into a necromancer's paradise impacted weather patterns (guess it’s hard to raise undead in frozen ground?) - because Percy remarked, during Winter’s Crest last year, that it was an unusually balmy winter.
This one is not unusually balmy. It’s cold. It’s skin-prickling, hair-frosting, finger-tingling fucking oppressively cold.
Vex never knew it was even possible to be too cold for snow. But she’s definitely fucking familiar with the concept now!
It sure doesn’t feel like the Dawnfather smiles on her when the dawn was several hours late, and she woke up to several feet of snow, and to have any hope of catching anything she had to leave her very cozy bed and even cozier Percy.
Another thing to hate about this weather? Dressing up. Gone are the days of throwing on boots and bounding off for a hunt. She needs not one but two hosen on her legs, and a sweater and a jacket and a cloak on top, and gloves, and big huge boots that make her feel like the clumsiest thing in the whole fucking Alabaster Sierras if the rest of the outfit didn’t already accomplish that.
And a hat. A knit, tight hat that she has to drag over her ears or the points will freeze. It feels like she’s going deaf when she wears the thing.
After several hours of vigil in a tree - a third of them taken before sunrise when even that couldn’t warm her - Vex finally just gave up and trekked home. Because even for the Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt there was only so long she could fight off shivers to stay still. And feel every breath sharply. And watch her scarf and fur collar and stray strands of her own fucking hair slowly prickle with frost.
She must have frostbite. Even if her magic doesn’t seem to catch on any damage. She’ll get inside, take off her gloves, and see that her fingers are black and falling off and Pike will have to leave the bakery to put them back on.
Not like she has any use for those stupid fingers; they’re stiff with cold, and she doesn’t have any game to haul back.
Everything sucks even more knowing she - don’t forget, the Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt - didn’t even hunt anything. Not even a rabbit, or a turkey, or a glimpse of that Grey Render. Funny thing: the wildlife has the sense not to be out in this weather, even if she doesn’t.
(The worst part is that Trinket, for the first time in his whole life, has decided to hibernate. Because the Parchwood is the sort of place bears want nothing to do with when the days start to shorten. And it means that Vax is in Zephrah, where it never snows, and Trinket is soundly sleeping in the warmest part of her mansion, and Vex is out here alone.)
(It means there’s less body heat to keep her warm out here. Of course.)
Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt who sucks at hunting in the Parchwood for a third of the year. It’s times like these where she’s really giddy the mansion was completed not long after the first frost; she can avoid the (surely super judgemental) stares of the townsfolk.
She just… has to fight through knee-high snow to get back. Or awkwardly step through the tracks she left in the morning. Or test the thin sheet of ice on the top of the snow, make it a few strides before crashing through. And no matter what she does her socks end up cold and wet!
By the time the lights are in sight she’s exhausted, and sweaty, and pissed, and really itching to kill something. And above all else, freezing. It’s almost enough to dull the ire - almost.
A petty part of her heart hisses that she never, ever should have fallen in love with a clever, thoughtful, nerdy, proud, cynical, and extremely sexy man who happens to live where it gets fuckoff cold for a solid third of the year.
Except as she trudges closer, she can see his silhouette in the window. And the moment that interruption in the light jerk upright because he’s seen her, too.
Except he leaves that warm, cozy home they’ve made to meet her outside with his coat and slippers. And he kisses her burning cheek and steals her hunting gear and rambles about some idle nothing - and notes he’s got hot chocolate on the stove.
Except once they’re in the mudroom, and her cold skin prickles at how balmy it is in here, he’s taking her hands and warming them in his. And he’s taking off her boots and grimacing in sympathy at the packed snow and agreeing it’s awful out there, she’s entirely correct, and he’ll be sure to have those poor cold feet in his lap as soon as possible. Yes, by the fire, of course, he’s not a madman.
Except he’s so delighted to have her back, so happy to have an excuse to pamper her. And Percy, with an impish delight, cocoons her in thick blankets and tugs her along to the little nest he’s made by the hearth. And Vex, impossibly, falls a little more in love with him every time he leads her through this dance.
Because Percy, as a man of fuckoff-cold Whitestone, has getting warm down to a science, and Vex can almost forget she was ever cold in the first place.
(She has her own thoughts on how two lovers could warm eachother up, of course - but she did fall in love with a clever man.)
#CAN YOU TELL IM A VERY UN-CANADIAN CANADIAN. also extending sympathy to y'all in the USA experiencing *colder temperatures than me*#especially Katie. holy shit bud pls stay warm <3 and enjoy Vex being pissed as fuck at the cold. I agree it is closer to modern Greek too to mention the translation of the word "xanthos" as "blonde" but ancient greek colors are not always so cut and clean so oftentimes it means just "fair haired" or "blonde" or can be "reddish" or "auburn" till reddish brown. Basically it is a factor that means "shiny" on occasion so I guess it is up for interpretation although yeah in modern Greek there is no doubt that "xanthos" means "blonde" but ancient Greeks loved to make even our lives difficult! Hahaha! Not at all. Proteus and his prophecies are a very interesting kick starter plot. He was even told on the fact that his brother died and that he might hurry back to offer his respects in time (plot twist he never did) but it is also different from source to source! Hehe but yes Proteus basically spilling the beans! XD
Yeah calling it a "dream" is like I guess a bit far fetched but one can also say it was "a vision" or something. Either way it seems to be vague enough at times for people to not have all information but barely enough to go by. And it is Menelaus's stay in Egypt that is elongated too that might add to the vagueness. Given how he later traveled back to his homeland (at least the version of the story that Euripides takes for his own play as well although of course Homer doesn't FULLY elaborate on the fact) to get to offer his respects to his brother's tomb before coming back to Sparta. At that time in-between his return many things in theory could have changed or mentioned. Oftentimes of course you need to consider information as plot devices. Menelaus is not revealing it to us because the information was insegnificant before or because Menelaus was inconsiderate. It is offered to us now because the trip of Telemachus was important to the plot (I had made a small analysis in the past) and we are only in the Odyssey just now. The viewer has heard before on Odysseus being trapped and wishing his return so now we have the confirmation so the listeners can hear it again. In one way it is like "for those who arrived just now to my performance, here is where Odysseus is, we'll get back to him later" Of course from modern point of view who is used to go to the cinema and watch one film this seems obsurd and one can say "why couldn't you just say so?" but if you think of it as a moving performance outside where people gathered up to listen to someone and more and more get added up in one way we can see why it is repeated there. In this way both Telemachus gets the important plot device to go to Sparta and get information on the war and the horse etc which the viewer gets but also pitches in more people and tuns them in the plot.
Hhahaha no problem at all I definitely see where you come from. Ancient Greek texts in general and Homer in particular are very expressive. But honestly I do not see it THAT much different let's say than Dreamworks Sinbad when Sinbad gets emotional and says to Marina "we dreamt to join the navy together and defend our country together!" like I see it as a very strong feeling of closure but I definitely understand where you come from and many people who make that joke! Hehehe it is always a shock to discover ancient texts isn't it?
Yeah he did hehehe and arguably he never was the sharpest knife in the box either but for sure the whole thing was already overwhealming enough especially the way that his life was settled up (Menelaus and his brother were even exiled because of Aeguisthus and they were struggling to get their kingdom back then the whole Helen business happened and they went away from home at a war for a decade and then they quarreled and the last thing they said to each other before separation was undoubtedly cruel words and then he found out the tragedy and all. The dude didn't have much slack either hahahaha)
Hahahahahahahahaha right?! Lol
You are right that is definitely a logical assumption but of course one could say that one vague piece of information is equally harmful because it increases the agony without easing much the information. Menelaus heard from Proteus he was prisoner before. Was he still prisoner? In one essence the family also had the prophecy that Odysseus would come back in 20 years (which was also what frightened Odysseus and tried to avoid the war altogether) so in one way the family HAD something to go by. Just set the clock to 20 years and he will be back! Hahaha the thing is again the vagueness of prophecies or information didn't help much either. For starters "20 years" is also a phrase that simply could mean "way too long" so people didn't know and even if they did after so long they lost hope. Even if it WAS predicted for Odysseus to be back eventually they just lost all hope regardless of the prophecy so a vague piece of information wouldn't help either. They held hope for 7 extra years after the end of the war was reported. When Menelaus finally got home after 7 years as well that roused suspicion that Odysseus wouldn't come back and if the prophecy was still in to be fulfilled then they assumed that "20 years" simply meant "too long" and that if he came back after way too long he would be useless as a king anyways because of his age. Or rather what if the "he will come back after 20 years" meant as a corpse? Hard to tell hahahaha but when Telemachus called upon the council and the new prophecy came that Odysseus would return, still didn't do much good either. Telemachus was still not perfectly convinced, Penelope was as depressed as ever and the suitors didn't pay attention to the prophet.
As for Telemachus not kicking them out sooner that is not possible for many reasons. One he was not of age of maturity yet (Odysseus left an order to Penelope to rule in his place until his son grew a beard and then he would rule back), two even if he had started his quest sooner that wouldn't have changed anything for Odysseus still would come back after the 20 years were done. In fact the plot was set so nicely thick that the trip of Telemachus happens at the same amount of time that Odysseus tells his story and comes back to Ithaca so when Telemachus comes back, he finds his father waiting and the two of them join forces to get the suitors out of the palace. Telemachus arguably didn't need to leave that specific time out of the palace because Menelaus didn't grace them with a warning sooner but because it was time for Odysseus to return and Telemachus would meet his father away from the palace in a quiet place AFTER he too had explored around. In one way Telemachus having heard the random piece of information that at some point his father was prisoner in one place wouldn't change that plot.
Telemachus for once needed confirmation that Odysseus was his true father and he needed to hear more than just that. Otherwise they had the vague prophecy of his return to go by. He needed to escape from the toxic environment of his home while being removed from danger and the trap of the suitors AND at the same Time Odysseus was set to return home. Homer could easily have made Telemachus say that "I heard once upon a time a friend of my father's saying that he is trapped somewhere" but the atmosphere wouldn't massively change. The songs the bard was singing were also giving vague informations on the returns of others and the sad fates that befell them and yet the idea of melancholy and worry never left anyone. And yes you are absolutely right. Him asking him in person was much more impactful, we get to see Menelaus in person AND on top of that the cognitive trip of Telemachus matches the cognitive trip of Odysseus.
Hope any of it makes sense! ^_^ Calling me a scholar is definitely an honor! I would consider myself just an enthusiast at this point given how despite my university education never have I had the chance to use it in an extensive degree! ^_^ Oh not at all! Hahahaha I believe everyone can tell it was a joke and a sarcastic remark like everyone makes those! It is great to keep things moving which is why I tried to reply in a more light-hearted manner as well! But you certainly opened a wide field of amazing conversations and very valid questions!
Telemachus is so much stronger than me for real. Cause if I had traveled for days, by sea AND land, arrived at the palace of my father's friend and my mother's cousin to humbly ask if they know anything about my missing father and instead of just fucking telling me already, this mf started a monologue about how gay he is for my dad and about the time he captured a God that granted him wishes three, I'd already be telling him to Hurry The Fuck Up. IT'S BEEN TEN YEARS, I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY.
But if the same motherfucker then turned around and told me that he had known FOR YEARS NOW that my dad is trapped on an island AND THE MOTHERFUCKER DIDN'T TELL ANYONE!!!! NOT A SINGLE LETTER!!! I would have already strangled Menelaus with that fucking blond hair of his in front of his wife and children, unhelpful son of a bitch.
#greek mythology#the odyssey#menelaus#telemachus#I finally got a copy of the Iliad too so I guess I'll pause my reading of the Odyssey and read that one first#maybe it'll clear things up a bit#<- prev tags#from the look of it you are already doing a great job!

summary:: you’re in love with gavi, and loves you too, but the distance is breaking you.
warnings:: angst??
writers note:: WHY AM I LOWKEY COOKING. fics under 500 words are so easy like why’d i write this in like half an hour im getting somewhere 😍. ALSO DIV CREDS TO RIGHTFUL OWNER I JS FORGOT WHO IT BELONGS TO
tags:: @barcapix ; lmk if u wanna be added
There’s an ache in your chest, the kind you can’t name. The kind that only seems to surface when Gavi’s beside you.
It’s not that you don’t love him; you do. More than you probably should. But tonight, the silence feels heavier, the air charged with things neither of you dare to say.
He’s sprawled across the couch, hair messy from your fingers earlier. The game’s on in the background, but neither of you are watching. You’re tucked into his side, your head resting on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heart.
‘I wish it didn’t feel like this sometimes,’ you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper.
Gavi’s fingers pause where they’ve been tracing lazy circles on your arm. ‘Like what?’
You pull back slightly to meet his eyes, and the question hangs between you. The weight of it, the truth of it.
‘Like we’re holding on too tight.’
His face softens, but there’s a flicker of something else there, too; fear, maybe, or recognition. ‘You’re all I’ve got,’ he says, so simply it makes your chest hurt.
The thing is, you believe him. And maybe that’s why it feels like this sometimes, like you’re tethered to each other by something too fragile to last. You love him so much it terrifies you, and some part of you knows he feels the same. But love like this,it burns too hot. Leaves scars.
‘We’re okay,’ he says, his voice steady now. ‘Aren’t we?’
You hesitate for a moment too long, and his hand tightens on your arm. ‘Tell me we’re okay,’ he pleads, his eyes searching yours.
You nod, because the truth is you don’t know how to live without him anymore. Because even when it hurts, he’s still the only person you want to come home to.
‘We’re okay,’ you say softly, and the relief in his expression almost breaks you.
He leans down, presses a kiss to your forehead, and pulls you closer. ‘I don’t care if we’re a mess,’ he murmurs. ‘As long as you’re mine.’
And for now, it’s enough.
Because even if this love isn’t perfect, it’s yours. And even if it hurts, it’s home.

@dragonprincedrabbles prompt Harrow + Damian, Breathe
—
A particularly nasty cold works its way through the castle, the first winter after they move in. Even Sarai gets the sniffles, though fortunately no more than that. Being sick and six months' pregnant would be truly miserable.
Callum stays healthy, thanks to diligent hand-washing and restriction from the areas of the castle where germs are most freely spread, but he grows moody and standoffish. He was already struggling to adjust, obviously feeling like an out-of-place guest in the castle and seeing Harrow as more like a distant uncle than a stepfather. Sarai knows he needs time—the only way encourage growing into a home and family is to allow the space to do so, and then step back. She just hates seeing her son unhappy.
Then Claudia, the one playmate he's truly grown close with, gets sick enough to spend a week in bed, and he starts acting out in ways he never has before. Not even when Damian was dying.
Harrow spends most of that week with Viren, who is understandably beside himself over his daughter's condition, mild though it is. Once she's undeniably on the mend and Harrow's able to escape, Sarai shares her own frustration and worries about her son. Always thoughtful, he suggests that they go to the lodge—there's a blanket of fresh snow on the ground, and a change of scene and activities will do Callum good.
It's a fantastic idea, one Sarai is embarrassed she didn't think of herself. Of course, she's not exactly used to having an entire lodge to retreat to for relaxation.
The first few days go better than she could ever hope—he and Harrow sled, build snowmen and snow banthers, and have snowball fights more epic than any Border skirmish. Sarai joins them sometimes, though she feels a little too pregnant for some of the more vigorous activities and is content to watch from inside, sipping hot cider. Callum runs to her pink-cheeked and laughing when they come back inside, happier every day than he has been in weeks. In the evenings, he falls asleep on the couch, nestled between them as Harrow reads aloud in his deep, soothing voice.
Then the castle cold catches up with Harrow.
Sarai suddenly finds herself caught between overseeing regular deliveries of hot soup and honeyed tea to her husband and near-constant tantrums from her son. Everything becomes a battle—getting up in the morning, what food he'll eat for any meal and when, putting on warm clothes before going outside, baths, bedtime. After a particularly bad fit over wanting to go ice skating—it's not cold enough for Sarai to trust the pond's ice without it being checked—she gathers him up into her lap for a talk.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" she says, rocking them both gently back and forth while he snuggles in her arms. "I can tell you're having a lot of big feelings—are you sad or mad that Harrow can't play anymore? Do you miss the castle?"
He shakes his head against her chest, but says nothing.
"Did something happen that scared you? Have you had bad dreams?"
Callum hesitates, then buries his face in her shirt, clinging to her. "I'm sorry, Mom," he says through fresh tears. "It's all my fault, I'm so sorry—"
She shushes him soothingly, stroking his hair. "I'm right here. It's okay to be overwhelmed. You haven't done anything wrong."
He takes a hiccuping breath. "But I did! I—I wished that King Harrow would die, so we could go home. I just wanted everything to be like it was before, with Dad. Now he's—I don't want him to die!"
He's crying hysterically again, and Sarai holds him tight. All the pieces suddenly come together—this year's cold takes root in the chest, leading to a wet, hacking cough. Harrow's coughing fits, while already subsiding, had been loud and frequent for the first few days. Loud enough to be heard from nearly anywhere in the lodge.
She and Damian had kept the worst of his condition from Callum, but not everything could be hidden, especially if Damian was to have any kind of life in his remaining time. So Callum saw when he coughed convulsively until he strained to breathe, air barely wheezing in and out of his lungs. Even if that wasn't the case, he'd heard his father's labored, rattling breaths at the end.
"Oh, sweetie," she says. "He's not going to die, I promise. He'll be just fine in a few days."
Callum shakes his head wildly, clinging to her. "I'm sorry," he sobs again.
"It's okay," Sarai soothes him, rubbing slow circles into his back. "It's okay, Callum. Sometimes, when we're angry or scared, we think or say things we don't really mean. There have been a lot of big changes, and that can feel scary and unfair. I wish we could have done things differently."
She swallows around the lump forming in her throat. "Your dad—I was angry and scared for a long time, when we found out how sick he was. I was angry that he wouldn't get to see you grow up, and I was scared of what life would be like without him. I had a lot of mean thoughts about people who I knew loved me, and were only trying to help. I didn't let those thoughts take root, and I know you won't, either—you'll breathe, and let them out."
She inhales deeply through her nose and exhales slowly through her mouth, repeating until Callum was breathing with her. His crying slows as he relaxes.
"Harrow can't ever replace your dad, but whatever he becomes to you, I know he loves you very much." She hugs him close, smiling when he hugs her back. "How about this? We can toast some cheese sandwiches and bring some soup up to him for lunch, like a picnic. He'll be happy to see you."
Callum nods, rubbing his nose with his sleeve. Sarai pokes it lightly. "Then, if the Crownguard say the ice is safe, we can go skating."
"Maybe, instead of skating," Callum says tentatively, as he hops down from her lap, "we could play a game from the game room this afternoon."
So Harrow can play, too. All of us together. She smiles, levering herself up from the couch. "That's a wonderful idea, sweetie. Go pick one out, and I'll start the sandwiches."
She's still smiling as he scampers off excitedly, and she heads for the kitchen. Lunch and games with all three of them, together—it looks like they just might be becoming a family.

⋆ 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 ⋆
⋆ Pairing: idol!Hongjoong x f!reader.
⋆ Genre: Smut (With a tiniest... okay maybe no plot at all?...)
⋆ Warnings: Mutual Masturbation, Video call.
⋆ Word Count: 1.1k
You feel yourself becoming increasingly bored while assembling the puzzle you purchased a while ago. It was quite tedious to assemble on your own. You were always upset that the puzzle pieces were missing, despite the fact that they were right in front of you. You finally decide to take a shower before heading to bed.
You feel lonely as you settle down on your bed and draw the comforter over you. You longed for your boyfriend's touch and wanted him to be with you. It was pointless because you knew he was an idol and wouldn't be present all the time because they were on tour, practicing, and performing at variety shows.
This time was different, they had left for a global tour about three months ago and still hadn't returned. You were bored staying at home alone. Just looking at your partner and marveling over his physique made you want to touch yourself. It was even worse because you were ovulating and your hormones were screwing you around.
Your phone rings when you're deep in thought. You come back to reality and pick it up to see Hongjoong. He was video calling you late at night. You pick up and give your best smile. "Hello, Joongie."
He looks at you with a pout and says, "I miss you.." You smile warmly, "I do too, but there's nothing you can do about it.."
He smirks at you and says, "There is something you can do about it.." You lift your brow and question, "What is it??"
"I wanna to watch you touch yourself. "Fuck yourself dumb with your fingers." Your heart races at Hongjoong's bold request. The combination of longing and excitement floods your body, momentarily overpowering the boredom that had consumed you earlier. You glanced at him with wide eyes, a blush crawling up your cheeks. You speak slightly above a whisper. "I- But you'll have to lead. Tell me what to do."
He nods. "Keep your laptop in front of you and undress first." You blush and feel flustered doing this in front of a screen. You put your laptop on the bed and undress. "Fuck, you're so hot. "I wish I could've been there." Your breath hitched, but you couldn't wait any longer. You sit comfortably in front of your laptop with your legs open, giving Hongjoong a clear view of your wet pussy.
Hongjoong whispers a short "fuck" and moves closer to the screen to get a better view."You're already so wet, it'll be easy to slip your fingers in. Now be a good girl and spit on your fingers like you always do."You obey him, putting your fingers in your mouth and sucking on it before removing them with a "pop" sound and dropping your spit on it. "Mhm~ That's it. Now slowly slide your fingers in and fuck yourself senseless."
Slowly pushing your index and middle finger into your sobbing hole, you moan feeling the delicious stretch of your pussy. "Mhm~~ Joongie, S-so good", you moan while thrusting your fingers in and out of your pussy. Hongjoong whispers "I know baby. I know it feels so fucking good. I think I might cum untouched just by watching you like this." You speed up your fingers while leaning your head back on the headboard. You moan louder and louder, your hips jerking up to meet your fingers. You feel the coil in your stomach tighten, threatening to burst any moment.
"Joongie- Baby I can't-", You moan loudly. "Let go.. Cum for me baby.. Lemme see you cum all over your fingers.", Hongjoong encourages you. Your fingers feel numb from all the friction, but it doesn't matter to you, pleasure overcoming all the numbness. "Fu-fuck Joong-", Your fingers stop knuckles-deep in your pussy as the coil in your stomach bursts. You moan loudly as your cum drips down your fingers and onto the sheets beneath you.
As you catch your breath, Hongjoong's voice breaks the silence once again "There ya go." Hongjoong smirks "Now suck your cum off your fingers and you'll get your reward once I'm back." You smile before pulling your finger out and sucking it clean. "Good girl. I wish I could be there with you, but for now, this will have to do." A smile tugs at the corners of your lips, and you respond softly, "Thank you for making this distance feel a little less lonely, Joongie."
As the call ends, you curl up under the comforter, a newfound sense of contentment washes over you. Until the day you can be in each other's arms again, moments like these will continue to bridge the gap between you, filling your nights with passion and desire.

Guess, who forget to post this from their Drafts...
BSD Cast take the consept of miraculous and powers well. They already have people with powers and godlike entities (Lovecraft, Arahabaki, Demonic Beast Guivre), so, miraculous are nothing new to them. But, they aren't happy, that most miraculous users are teens, who risk their lives.
The Wish is scaring them. While there are similarities with The Book, there is the major difference. The Book requires narrative consistency and a lot of preparation. While Wish are more straight forward with an equal exchange. And, if it reshapes the universe, what will it do with them? Will they return to BSD World, loosing their self-awareness? Or will they loose their powers and won't be able to aid Adrien and [Y/N]? Will Sigma and Elise disappear? And there are a lot more questions. BSD Cast will make sure, that The Wish is never used. When BEAST Group join Original Group, BEAST! Dazai will do anything to make sure The Wish won't be used. Because he understands the burden of reshaping the universe for someone dear. He didn't want anyone to experience it.
(Anticipating questions, no, after The Wish nothing is going to happen with BSD Cast. They will remain in reality with powers and memories.)
BSD Cast will be worried about akumas. It is a disturbing consept. BSD Cast will be careful with their emotions and will try to keep an eye on Adrien's and [Y/N]'s emotions (and their friends'). Because they don't want them get hurt.
However, BSD Cast can stop worrying about getting akumatized. Gabriel, salty after his kids were adopted, take a look into BSD Media. He saw, what Lovecraft, Atsushi, Shibusawa, Bram, Chuuya and Verlaine can do. No wanting to have Paris, if not whole France destroyed, Gabriel swear to keep akumas away from BSD Cast.
____
Ask your question about Season 5, I am extremely chill about spoilers. Fun fact, I didn't watch BSD Season 5 Finale during premier, and, before watching the episode, I spent 30 minutes reading Reddit posts about the finale and watching videos of moments from last episode on YouTube.
____
The love square will go like this:
BSD Cast's place. Adrien is having a photoshoot, so he isn't home right now
[Y/N]: I must say, my brother really like Ladybug. Poor Marinette, she is clearly like Adrien, but he is chasing after Ladybug.
Mori: exchanging looks with Fukuzawa, Fitzgerald and Fukuchi Is that so? And how Ladybug reacts to your brother's feelings?
You: shrug She isn't interested. I am trying not to get involved, they can figure it out by themselves.
Aya: from other room [Y/N]! Bram and I are doing a vampire castle diorama for Halloween! Do you want to help?
You: Sure! leaving the room
Fukuzawa, Fukuchi, Fitzgerald and Mori, after a moment of silence, burst into laughter
Fukuchi: It's cute, precious and fun in its own way, don't you think?
Fukuzawa: nodding Yes, it's... adorable. Make me feel bad for hiding the secret about Ladybug's true identity.
Fitzgerald: But, as [Y/N] said, they will deal with it by themselves. Not our business to share girl's secret.
Same VA idea.
Keith Silverstein not only voiced Mori Ougai. He is also a voice of Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth from Miraculous Ladybug.
Just, imagine...
You and Mori: *sitting on a couch, having a conversation *
Elise: *sitting not far away from you, browsing through YouTube. Suddenly, she finds this video *
[Room became silent, exept for the Hawk Moth singing]
You and Elise: *looking at each other. Elise gave you a puppy dog eyes. You are hesitant, but, still, you nod*
You: *to Mori* Um, Ougai, I was wondering... Can you sing?
Mori: *not amused* [Y/N], I do love you, but no. Don't even think about it.
You and Elise: *giving him a puppy dog eyes*
Mori: I said "no"!
[Three hours later]
You, Mori and Elise: *singing in unison*
I will win and I will rise!
All of Paris akumatized!

my lover
charles xavier x fem!reader
you and charles have a peaceful, euphoric life together. tonight was no exception. (based on this request)
word count: 1.3k | warnings: tooth rotting fluff
The Xavier Mansion, now known as the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, was a lively, bright place you felt lucky to call your home. It was always bustling with children and teenagers roaming and exploring, creating connections and learning about their mutations. It was an unfathomable sight to witness, one you were glad you could live to see.
It wasn't long ago now that Charles had proposed to you. Maybe it was becoming wheelchair bound that finally pushed him, seeing your relentless support and undying affection for him, mobile or not. It was a sweet thing. Private, romantic, the way you'd always known Charles would propose.
Sure, some things were missing, like Raven, a nearly lifelong friend of yours, and one of Charles'. Another friend, he was missing, too. Of course, you both wished they could be here, but it wasn't like you were all alone. Alex and Hank were good friends. They seemed the most drawn to both of you. It was nice. It was home.
You walked the halls of your beloved school, one you were proud to teach at. You smiled at kids as they passed, all greeting you cheerfully. Truthfully, you were looking for Charles. Yes, you could reach out to him telepathically, but you always knew exactly where he would be almost like magic. At least, that's what Charles called it.
That was the great thing about you and Charles. He didn't need his mutation to read you, and you didn't need it to understand him. You had just clicked. It's what had drawn a teenage Charles to you in the first place. The way you spoke to him, matched his intellect, his interests, his passions, and then eventually discovering your shared desire for peace between mutants and humans, it all just confirmed to Charles you were the one. He's always known that.
"Charles?" Your voice carried softly into your shared room with the professor. He was sat in his wheelchair, looking out your window to the courtyard, watching groups of students interact around a bonfire. "Charles, my beloved,"
The Professor smiled at your voice, turning his head. "Darling, have I told you that you looked gorgeous today?"
"Several times, actually." You smiled, walking over to him and helping him move onto the bed to be more comfortable. He leaned against the headboard, staring at you with near hearts in his eyes. "You tell me several times every day."
"It should be a hundred," Charles chuckled. "Sit with me, my love. I want to relish your presence."
You sat comfortably next to him, leaning your head on his shoulder. "I have been busy lately, haven't I?"
"You're a teacher, it comes with the job," Charles chuckled. It was true. Being a normal teacher was hard, but a teacher for mutants was even harder at times. "How was your classes today? Still having trouble with young Jean?"
"She's getting better," you replied confidently. "More confident. I see it in her every day."
Charles nodded, "As do I. We're making good progress with her."
"You've been talking about school a lot lately," you pointed out. "Are you just very focused on it right now, or is there something else?"
You always could find any problems Charles had. Again, magic. "You caught me, my dear. I'm just.. worried, is all. The war, I've heard things. I heard it's getting worse. I just worry."
"Charles," you interlaced your fingers together as you squeezed his hand three times. "That's so far out of your control. Keep your mind here, with me. With the students. If things change, that is out of our control. We just have to soak all of this in now. There may be some time we don't have this."
"That's why I worry," Charles replied. "I worry for the kids, for what will become of this place."
A small, sympathetic smile graced your lips. "This place will always be a school, even if it has to be.. inactive for a little time. This will always be a safe place."
"You.. are right as always, love." Charles sighed. "I am here, I promise. I'll keep my mind from wandering as best as I can. And you're right. This is a school. Maybe preparing our children for this would help ease my worry."
You smiled, "That's a wonderful idea, Charles. I'm sure it would put their minds at ease, too."
Charles flipped your hand so the top was facing him. He bent your hand back slightly, observing the ring on your finger. "It truly does suit you,"
"Well, I technically did choose it. You probed my mind to find it," you laughed. Charles had spent a week trying to find your perfect, ideal ring. Finally, he found a good image and searched for even more weeks to find the perfect one. Of course, money was no issue. He didn't tell you how much the ring was worth, but damn.
"I just wanted it to be perfect, you deserve it all." Charles replied, bringing your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to your knuckles. "I want to give you everything you've ever wanted in life."
"You already have," you replied, a shake to your head. "This is everything to me. Even if it was just us."
Charles raised a brow, "Are you insinuating that Hank's presence was unwelcomed?"
"Well," you bit your lip, "he intruded quite a lot. Remember that one time he walked in on us while you were between my--"
"You make a good point!" Charles cut you off, laughing softly after. "Come here, love. I think I've finally mastered the art of hair braiding."
You scooted in front of Charles, allowing his fingers to tangle in your hair. "You know," you began, "it's sort of like all of these kids are our own in some ways. I mean, we understand them better than their families ever could. They also happen to live under our roof."
Charles hummed, "Is that something you want?"
"Children?" You asked, causing Charles to nod in confirmation. "Yeah, I don't think I would mind one or two mini-us running around this place."
"It would drive Hank up the wall," Charles laughed. "I don't think he could stand one or two more of us."
Shrugging, you felt Charles' fingers pull ever so softly. "I think he'd just have to learn to live with it." You felt Charles reach the end of your hair as you passed him a hair tie. You sat up on your knees, looking in the mirror that hung on the all above your bed. "You french braided my hair!"
"I did," Charles proudly smirked.
Ever since he lost use of his legs, he began to take up new hobbies. He wasn't bad at crochet or poetry, but he liked finding ways to help you. Braiding your hair in the evening was one less thing to worry about in the morning. So was sewing holes from accidents in the danger room and good massages.
Don't think Charles did it all, however. Cooking was not up his alley, nor was cleaning anymore. Taking care of some yard work was also your own tasks, unless a certain student with special abilities offered to lend a hand. Life was balanced with you and Charles.
"It looks amazing," you praised as you observed how neat it looked. "I couldn't make it look this good myself if I tried."
"I had a good volunteer for practice." Charles smiled as you leaned down to press a kiss to his lips. "My love, it's getting quite late. We have early morning danger room drills if I'm not mistaken."
"Unfortunately, we do," you replied. "Time for some rest?"
Charles smiled. This was his favorite part of the night. "Indeed, darling. Come here, let me hold you tonight." He always said that every night, but the outcome was no different. You turned off the lights and curled up into his arms, allowing him to hold you, pressing soft kisses to the top of your head.
Life with Charles was like a dream. No matter how much either of your changed, you adapted. That's what soulmates do, is it not?

Chapter 16<<Masterlist>>Chapter 18
Last night was a fucking revelation. Not only is he in disbelief that Steve, just out of nowhere, decided he was ready to sleep with him. But raw? Fuck. He’s never had that amount of trust before with someone. He’s sure it helps that he’s absolutely in love with the man. And call him sappy, but after he came inside his boyfriend, both of them experiencing that for the first time together, he feels closer to him than he’s ever felt with anyone.
And Steve called him daddy?! Jesus Christ. He hates to admit that he’s been called that several times before, but it’s always been so performative. With his boy though. It just erupted out of him like it was buried in there all along just waiting to come out.
He’s so fucking happy.
Especially now, with Steve’s toned body bouncing up and down on his dick. He basically attacked Eddie as soon as they woke up this morning. He was still a little stretched out from last night, so he just lubed Eddie up and climbed right on.
God, it was really something watching him lift up on his knees and slowly sink down until he was flush with Eddie’s hips. Panting and moaning while he rocked back and forth. He’s so fucking tight, his body hugging Eddie’s cock from tip to root. With no barrier between them, he can really feel Steve. So hot and slick and Eddie never wants to leave.
Steve adjusted quickly and he’s worked up a good pace. His strong fucking thighs are lifting up and down as he fucks himself on Eddie’s dick. He kinda feels like a fuck toy right now, just lying here enjoying the show while Steve chases his pleasure. Normally he’d like to be a lot more domineering, but watching his boyfriend ride him in the morning sunlight, his hair flopping around and dick bobbing between his legs and slapping Eddie’s stomach - it’s a hell of a view.
“God damn Eddie baby! Your cock is amazing!” Steve shouts as he impales himself over and over again. His hands are braced on Eddie’s chest, putting a delicious pressure on his nipple piercings, and he doesn’t ever want this to stop.
“You like that angel? You like riding that big dick? Take what you need, baby boy. It’s all yours.”
Steve whines and like the good boy he is, he asks, “Can you touch my cock daddy? Can I please cum?”
Jesus. Fucking. Christ.
“Such a good boy for asking. Let me take care of you honey.” He spits in his hand, grabs Steve’s dick and starts quickly stroking him. He’s gasping and making these little punched out “ah ah ah” noises and Eddie wishes he could record it and use it as a backbeat in a song. “That’s a good boy. You can cum now baby. Cum for your daddy.”
Steve lets go and groans as his orgasm shakes his whole body. He grinds down on Eddie’s cock, gripping him like a fucking vice as he cums into Eddie’s fist. “Oh my god! Oh my god! Eddie! Want you to cum too. Please baby!”
Eddie quickly flips them over and pounds into Steve’s tight heat. His boy is lax and worn out beneath him, content to lay there and take it. “Fucking Christ Steve, you’re so hot baby. Looked so gorgeous bouncing on my lap. Gonna fill you up, pump you full, watch it drip out of that hole and fuck it back in.”
Eddie’s always been a motormouth and clearly in bed he’s no different. Steve sure doesn’t seem to mind if his slutty moaning is anything to go by.
“Shit, I’m gonna cum baby. I’m gonna cum…take it. Fuckin’ take it!” His orgasm hits him like a bolt of fucking lightening as he slams home one final time and unloads into his boyfriend’s ass. It feels like he’s cumming buckets as his cock pulses over and over.
As the final waves subside, he collapses onto Steve, both of them panting heavily trying to catch their breaths. Eddie buries his face in Steve’s neck, kissing and licking at his sweaty skin. The essence of Steve. Steve, who hasn’t moved a muscle since Eddie came his brains out. Shit, he really went a little crazy there at the end. “Are you ok sweetheart? Was that too much?”
Steve doesn’t respond and Eddie is now genuinely worried that he hurt him. He raises his head and Steve is laying there with his eyes closed and his brow furrowed. “Stevie. Baby. Are you alright?”
Apparently Eddie just fucked him stupid, the man can’t even form words. Just lifts his hand off the bed and gives him a thumbs up and a weak smile. Good lord.
Eddie chuckles, kisses his sweaty forehead, and starts to pull himself up. This finally gets a real reaction out of his boy. Steve’s eyes pop open and he grabs at Eddie’s shoulders with a whine. “No! Stay. Please.”
God he’s so sweet. His boy just needs touch. Needs to know that Eddie’s there and he’s not leaving. I’ll never leave you. He rolls them onto their sides, and wraps his arms around him, stroking his skin and placing light kisses on all the beautiful moles he can find.
His softening cock slides out and he dips his hand down between Steve’s cheeks and feels his cum dripping out. It’s so possessive, but he doesn’t give a shit as he uses his fingers to fuck it back into Steve just like he said he would. Steve moans and shivers and holds Eddie tighter. Yeah. He likes it too.
If he had a quicker refractory period, he’d slide his dick back in and fill him up again.
Christ, this is a whole new fetish for him now, isn't it?
He holds Steve for a while longer, running his hands through that floppy hair and stroking fingers down his back until his boy comes back down to Earth. Eddie knows he’s back with him when he feels Steve nuzzling into his skin and humming out a quiet, “Mmm…good morning.”
Eddie snorts a laugh and kisses his forehead. “Good morning baby boy. Hell of a way to start the day, huh?”
Steve hums his agreement and mumbles, “I’m all sticky. Need a shower before we see Rob.”
Shit that’s right. Steve usually does Sunday brunch with Robin, and she granted permission for Eddie to join them. Sacred stuff, this is.
One shower, a quick change of clothes, and one heated make out session against the front door later, and they’re at Steve and Robin’s favorite brunch spot. It’s a cute place, Eddie hasn’t been here before. Bright and airy and plants everywhere and very Queers Who Brunch. As soon as they’re sat at a table, Eddie grabs the seat of Steve’s chair and pulls so it’s right next to him and he can shower his baby in affection while they wait for Rob.
He’s got an arm draped possessively over Steve’s shoulder, the other on his leg, drawing little shapes on the inside of his thigh. Steve’s hand trailing lines up and down his forearm and he leans into Eddie’s space. He feels so close to his boy in so many ways as they nuzzle noses and can’t seem to bear to have more than an inch between them.
Eddie’s so in love.
He never thought he’d have something like this. He’s starting to think maybe Steve is feeling it too. And isn't that something.
“Ahem!” They’re broken out of their trance by Robin, who’s already sitting down across from them, menu in hand and eyebrow quirked. When did she get here? And why is she eyeing them like this? It’s a little intense, like she’s studying bacteria under a microscope. “You two finally boned, didn't you?”
Eddie splutters and Steve just giggles and hides his face in Eddie’s neck. Nuh uh, get out of there and face her you adorable little coward! Like he can read Eddie’s mind, Steve straightens up and looks at Robin. They’re doing that telepathic twin thing where they’re having a whole conversation with eye contact and minute facial expressions.
Eddie is observing Robin, trying to crack some code that might as well be in Russian. Her face going from accusatory, to questioning, to amused, to shocked, and landing on fond. She turns her gaze to Eddie, she looks him up and down, smiles brightly, and nods at Steve.
What the fuck just happened?
“Well, I bet you two little minxes are famished! Shall we?” Robin tosses them a couple menus and Eddie’s just trying to keep up.
The wonder twins get a couple mimosas, Eddie a virgin mimosa which is just orange juice, let’s be real here, and a round of coffees. Their server takes their order and Robin is grinning like an idiot as Eddie asks them, “Can I have the loaded hash browns, extra bacon, a side of two eggs, sunny side up, and the pancakes, please?”
They walk away with all their orders taken and Robin just starts laughing. “Worked up an appetite, did we?”
Eddie sips his mimosa (orange juice in a champagne glass, fucks sake) and smiles wide. “What can I say Birdie? Your soulmate here is insatiable. Rode me like a carnival ride this morning.”
Steve chokes on his (actual) mimosa while Robin cackles. “Eddie! Jesus!” he complains as he regains his composure.
“Oh come on Dingus, like I don’t already know that you’re a bitchy little bottom.” Robin looks smug as hell.
Eddie shakes his head at her. “Bitchy he is not, my dear. He’s a good little boy, aren’t you Stevie?”
Steve is turning all shades of red. “I regret introducing you two. I was going to spill to you later with the new face masks I got at the market, but I’m now reconsidering!”
“Nooooo,” Robin whines. “Steven, I’m sorry! Pamper me! Please! I need it after the shit date I had this weekend!”
“Oh no, did you finally ask out that artsy lesbian from the Lit department?”
Robin heaves a sigh and slumps in her seat. “Yes. I thought it would be a good fit! I dated every lesbian or lesbian-adjacent woman in the Languages department, and I know, I know, don't shit where you eat or whatever, but it’s not like I get out much, so my dating pool is kind of in-house at the moment. She works in Literature, I work in Languages, it makes sense right?! But apparently not! She was so fucking pretentious and boring and I couldn’t stand it! I need to find someone outside of academia before I end up going through every single professor at IU. They’re either boring as hell or think the sun shines out of their pussy. Why can’t I find my sexy rock star equivalent, babe?!”
Steve reaches across the table and takes her hand. “I’m sorry babe. She’s out there, I’m sure of it. She’ll probably come along when you least expect it, right? It happened to me, I’m positive it’ll happen to you. Just. Stop dating people at work for a while, maybe?”
Eddie nods and holds Steve’s other hand under the table, giving it a squeeze. “He’s right Birdie. You deserve a hell of a lot better than some tweed-wearing academic type. You need someone as colorful and fun as you. Someone who can match your energy, you know?”
Robin pinches her brows and smiles at Eddie. “Shit. Thank you Doofus.”
“Doofus?!”
“He’s Dingus, you’re Doofus,” she shrugs. “You’re welcome.”
It’s so stupid, but Eddie feels like he’s been officially accepted into the club.
Their food arrives and they dig in, Eddie cleaning all his plates. He really did work up an appetite going to town on Steve. He'll probably have to carb up or something if he’s going to keep having intense workouts like that. He’s not sure, he’s not an athlete.
Eddie pays the check, Steve protesting as always while Robin kicks him under the table because it’s free brunch Steve, shut the fuck up! They decide to head over to a thrift shop nearby to walk off some of their brunch and see if they can find any weird shit they can’t live without.
Steve leads him over to the clothing section and starts rifling through t-shirts. “Start digging Eds, they’ve always got at least one shirt here that’s weird as hell.” He’s fucking cute, like he’s going on a little treasure hunt. Eddie’s on the other side of the rack just gazing at him. He pulls out his phone, opens the camera and says, “Stevie! Smile!” His boyfriend looks up, makes a face, and throws up a couple peace signs like a dork. God he loves him. He should probably tell him soon.
They sort through one ugly shirt after another when Steve starts laughing his ass off. Eddie looks up and without a word, Steve pulls a shirt off the rack and holds it up to show him. It’s a faded black crop top with Daddy’s Boy in big blue letters across the chest. Eddie bursts out laughing and reaches over the rack to snatch it from him. “Oh, honey, this is coming home with us!“ He absolutely does not have a moment where he imagines he shares a home with Steve. And does not immediately make plans to find a realtor in Indy.
Eddie throws the shirt over his shoulder and continues his own treasure hunt, hoping to find a cool band shirt or something. What he ends up finding is so much better. “Stevie. Oh my god. Do you believe in fate? Because I think I do.” Steve makes an adorable confused face and Eddie holds up the shirt he found. It’s fucking awful and probably two sizes too small but he doesn’t care, he’s buying it.
Steve immediately doubles over laughing, drawing the attention of the few other patrons in the shop. “Oh my god Eds! We have to get it!” It’s a godawful white polo crop top with the sleeves cut off and Father Figure across the chest in black font. Steve tries to reach across to grab it, but Eddie for once in his life is too quick.
“Nuh uh princess. I got it.”
Steve huffs. “Eddie for Christ’s sake, I can buy a two dollar t-shirt for you.”
Eddie shakes his head. “It’s not about the money, baby boy. It's about me wanting to spoil you any way I can! You’re not spending a dime as long as I’m around.” Which I hope is forever.
Steve bites his lip. Eddie can tell he’s struggling with this. He walks around the rack and approaches his boy, putting his hands on his shoulders. “Honey. I know you’re independent, and I know this kind of attention is probably hard for you. But let me put it this way; you’ve spent forever taking care of the people around you, right? Robin? The Party? All those kids at work? Who’s been taking care of you?“
“He’s right Steve.” Robin walks up behind him and puts her arms around his waist. “I do what I can to take care of you but you rarely let me. So, if you’re not gonna let me do it, let this rich asshole do it.”
That gets a watery laugh out of Steve. “Jesus, you two make quite the team…fine. Get the shirts.” Steve leans forward and gives Eddie a quick kiss. It’s a beautiful acceptance.
They’re looking through a bin of patches and stickers when Eddie’s phone buzzes in his pocket. He pulls it out to see Chrissy FaceTiming him.
“Chris! You’ll never believe the shirts we just found!”
He tosses Steve his shirt and they both drape them over their chests to show them off.
“Eddie oh my GOD they’re perfect!” She laughs.
“And all for the bargain price of four dollars!”
“What a steal! How was your weekend, guys?”
“Good! It was really good!” Eddie tells her.
From the side Robin pipes up, “Oh don’t be coy Doofus, you guys finally went to Pound Town!”
“Who is that?! And holy shit seriously?! We are discussing this later Edward!”
“That’s Robin.” Eddie turns the phone towards her. “Say hi Robin!”
Robin does not say hi. Robin freezes and stares and her cheeks turn pink. Eddie looks at Steve. Steve looks at Eddie. They both grin.
“Oh! Hi…hi Robin.”
Robin must remember that she does in fact have the ability to speak. “H…hi Chrissy. I’m…I’m Robin.” For a Language professor she sure as hell doesn’t seem to have a huge grasp on the English language. Eddie is fucking eating this up. There’s no way he’s turning the phone back to himself while this is going on.
“I um…I heard about…Eddie told me about you. That you’re Steve’s friend.”
“Steve. Yeah. Steve is my friend. My best friend! He’s the best! Really really…great.”
“Yeah, he um…he seems great. Is uh…is Eddie still there?”
Of course Eddie is still there, Eddie is holding the fucking phone.
“Yup! Yeah, there’s an Eddie. His phone. This is Eddie’s phone so yeah Eddie’s right here.”
Jesus fucking Christ, both of these women just went brain dead. This is hilarious.
“Could I uh…could I talk to him?”
Eddie really wants to refuse and keep watching this shit show, but he decides to be merciful and turns the phone back to himself and can see the absolute glee on his face in the tiny box in the corner. Robin grabs Steve and hauls him to the other side of the shop in a fucking hurry. He is living for this.
“Christine, care to explain to me why your brain is melting out of your ears?”
“Eddie what the fuck!” she hisses at him. “Is she still there? Can she hear me?!”
“Nah you’re good babe. Now spill! That was so stupid!”
“You’re stupid! Why didn’t you tell me Robin was a fucking smoke show?! Goddamnit Eddie you’ve been sitting on this for two fucking months?!”
“Sorry, the ladies aren’t exactly my cup of tea. I take it you took a shining to her?”
“Took a shining?! She knocked me off my ass you cunt!”
“My goodness, such language from a nice Christian girl.”
“Oh fuck you, you’re dead to me now! You couldn’t have given me a heads up?! I sounded like a fucking idiot, oh my god!”
“Babe, calm down. You both sounded like idiots. And by the by, she dragged Steve away like the building was on fire, I think the feeling there is mutual.”
“You don’t know that!”
“I do know that! And I also know that she’s gay, and she’s single, and hasn’t had any luck in the Indy dating pool recently. Maybe you could try to fingerblast that when you come to visit.”
“God you’re such a pig. But you’re also a genius. I wouldn’t mind getting wrist-deep in that.”
“Jesus babe, now who’s the pig?”
“Do they know we’re coming to Indy next weekend? The guys are so fucking excited, and I got all that shit you asked for from your place.”
“They’re coming here?” Eddie jumps at the sound of Steve’s voice behind him.
“You didn’t tell him?!”
“Surprise?” Eddie shrugs.
Steve puts his hands on his hips, and yeah he absolutely gets the mom thing. Eddie feels like he’s about to get reprimanded for spilling Kool Aid on the carpet. “Eddie, what’s going on? Why didn’t you tell me they’re coming out here? Is it the whole band?!”
Eddie sighs and turns back to Chrissy for a moment. “Lemme call you later babe.” He hangs up before she can reply and pockets his phone. “Sweetheart, I’m sorry. I wanted it to be a surprise! I promised the kids I would DM their campaign next weekend and I thought it would be fun to get the Hellfire guys back together. We haven’t played in years, and I was so excited about it, and thought it would be a cool surprise for The Party, and then you’d also get to meet everybody! But I can tell by the look on your face that I really fucked up. Did I fuck this up? Are you mad?”
Steve sighs and drops his hands. “I’m not mad. It’s a really great idea, and the kids are gonna love it. I guess I just feel a little blindsided. These are your people, and obviously I want them to like me, and I don’t know…I’m really nervous. What if they think I’m not good enough for you?”
Eddie immediately scoops up in a hug. “Baby boy, I’m so sorry. I had no idea you’d feel that way. Why on Earth would you think you’re not good enough, honey? You’re everything to me.”
Steve hugs him back and quietly tells him, “I don’t know. I guess I just feel like I’m a lot different than them. I’m not into metal, I don’t know anything about D&D and that’s the whole reason they’re coming here. Feels like they’re gonna take one look at me and know I don’t fit in.”
Eddie kisses his temple. “Stevie. In case you already forgot, let me remind you. I have a history of collecting the people who don’t fit in. They’re going to love you.” Just like I love you. “You’re smart and funny and caring and they're going to see that. If anyone is a dick, it’s going to be Gareth, but he’s like that with everybody. Just like Mike! And you’ve dealt with that plenty, so it’s not going to be a problem.”
Steve snickers at that. “Yeah, ok. Maybe you have a point. Thank you baby. I-” He cuts himself off and Eddie pulls back to see what’s wrong. He just bites his lip and then smiles. “I can’t wait to meet them.”
“I can’t wait either sweetheart. Especially since Chrissy is coming. I’ve never seen her malfunction like that, what the fuck!”
Steve's eyes go big. “Oh my god, Robin too! That was so stupid! They’re totally gonna fuck aren’t they?”
Eddie laughs, “Oh absolutely! I hope Robin limbers up, Chrissy’s a fuckin’ animal. Now let’s check out and go home, I wanna see you model that shirt.”
He slaps Steve’s ass as he turns to walk towards the register and hears Robin shout from down the aisle, “Wait for me, Daddy Warbucks, you owe me after that shitshow!”
Eddie throws his head back and laughs. This is gonna be great.

STUCK ON ME | Y.JW
— Pairing: Jungwon x fem!reader | (Masterlist)
— Synopsis: Y/N found an abandoned kitten in the rain but she didn't expect things to end this way.
— Genre: smut
— Warnings: unprotected sex, cum inside, making out, begging, hickeys, blood, overstimulation.
— Notes: I'm new to this writing thing, and English is not my first language. Sorry for not writing so well, I wish to improve and bring better and well-written stories.
The rain fell heavily as the shadow watched Y/N typing on her laptop.
When he noticed that she started to pack her things to leave, he smiled, his fangs showing.
- This is going to be an interesting meal. - He said before transforming.
Y/N was focused on finishing writing a chapter that she didn't notice the heavy rain or how dark it was, as soon as she noticed this, she started to packing her things to leave.
Running home she heard a meow and stopped to see where it was coming from, she then saw a kitten hiding from the rain in a corner, without thinking she picked it up and hugging it to protect it from the rain took it to her apartment.
Y/N dried the kitten and fed him, when she made sure he was comfortable, she went to take a shower and warm up as she was still soaked from the rain.
While sleeping that night Y/N woke up nervous feeling like she was being watched, but she ignored it and went back to sleep.
The next day Y/N returned early from the cafe after finishing a chapter of her book. She looked for the kitten but couldn't find it, until she heard a noise coming from her room. When she opened the door she screamed in panic and tried to run away after seeing an unknown man lying comfortably on her bed. But barely taking two steps out of the room she was grabbed and thrown against the wall.
- A panicked prey always makes the meal even better. - He said, inhaling her scent, feeling her fear.
- Who are you? - Y/N asked shakily.
- Who i am? I'm Jungwon and you're Y/N, my sweet prey.
In the midst of her panic, she remembered the kitten and asked if he had done anything to him.
- So sweet, worried about me? - A falsely sweet smile appeared on his face. - Don't you understand yet? There is no kitten, it was me all along. So easy to fool, a little transformation and you're down immediately.
As soon as he finished speaking, he bit her. The pain at first was horrible, but soon she felt something strange, a shiver ran through her entire body, she was feeling pleasure.
When Y/N moaned Jungwon stopped immediately, he didn't expect that, she must have been screaming to death in pain. Only then did he realize how there was something different in his blood.
- What are you? - He asked confused. - Whatever, it doesn't matter
Before she could think about running away he bit her again. Her blood wasn't just sweet, it wasn't just something that satisfied his hunger, there was something more powerful, something that was messing with his head and his body. He wanted more, but not only that, it made him want her. Her body, her soul, everything, she should be his.
Fear still hovered over Y/N, but at the same time she wanted it, the feeling was too good, she wanted him to devour her in every possible way.
- Damn, I can't believe I'm going to do this. - Jungwon decided to keep her alive at least for now.
- Do what? - Y/N asked scared. But instead of giving an answer he kissed her.
This shocked her more than if he had killed her. The kiss was fierce, his body pressing hers against the wall, while he firmly held her waist, the other hand grabbed her right leg, his claws squeezing it tightly, making it bleed.
- Please, devour me. - Y/N begged between moans. He more than immediately obeyed her.
Both clothes being quickly removed from their bodies, he ached to possess her.
He picked her up on his lap, his cock desperate to be inside her, and soon it was.
She could die there and she would be happy, the way he fucked her as if he had been waiting for this for centuries.
Y/N was grateful that he was holding her because she was sure she couldn't stand, her legs were weak, her whole body was losing strength as she felt him going so fiercely deep inside her.
Nothing felt like enough, Jungwon wanted more from her, more and more, as his head spun with the sensation of being inside her, he varied between kissing her roughly or drinking some more of her blood.
With her blood dripping down his lips as he sucked her, he knew he couldn't take it anymore, the way she clenched around him as she felt the pleasure as he drank her blood.
Y/N's moans could be heard in the distance as she reached her orgasm, tears streaming down her face as he finally came inside pushing more and more into her. Y/N head falling onto his shoulder in exhaustion when it was finally over.
Even overwhelmed she thought about how she would probably be killed next, an ironic smile on her lips as she thought that at least it would be a good death. Soon after, she fainted.
When she woke up Y/N was confused, she thought she would be dead by now. She tried to get up, but felt her hand trapped. Of course she was alive, but it was too much to ask for him to leave and let her live as if nothing had happened.
- Finally woke up. - Jungwon's voice came from the other side of the room.
- Why am I arrested? - Y/N didn't mind asking rudely, death no longer scared her.
- Because my sweet Y/N, I don't want to have to chase you if you try to run away. - I don't have the patience for that kind of thing.
- But why haven't you killed me yet? Are you going to keep me trapped here so I always have a snack at your disposal?
- I wish that was it. - His expression was a mixture of anger and disappointment. - Unfortunately, I can't kill you.
Jungwon sat on the bed next to her touching her face with a smile full of sarcasm. He looked increasingly angry.
- There is a story, which I never believed, about how vampires are supposedly always destined to find someone, the person they would give their life for in exchange to protect. A person to whom they would give their entire being, whom they are destined to serve. Baseless idiocy. - He said, squeezing her face while analyzing her.
- I always thought they were just stories, but guess what? Apparently this is real. - He released her face angrily, moving away.
- Why did I have to drink your blood? Why didn't I choose another victim? Just you with your stupid blood that bewitched me. - If I didn't want to have you so much for myself I would kill you now, not because it's normal for me, but because I hate you so much for doing this to me. - He was clearly in agony.
- Is that what they call karma? - Y/N said laughing loudly. - You tried to terrorize me and kill me. And now you're saying you stuck with me?
He looked at her in disbelief. Y/N was nothing like he imagined, she wasn't afraid of him, the look of superiority and control she had over him made him feel small. It should be the opposite, he is the monster here, he is the one who should have control over her, not the other way around.
- Let me go. - Y/N ordered. Even though he was angry, Jungwon couldn't help but follow Y/N's orders, her voice had some kind of power over him, it was like a spell, and now he was the one who couldn't escape.
— Note2: Sorry if it's not good, I'll try to improve it.

Once in a lifetime kinda deal (Mafia!Bucky Barnes x reader)
Part one: Father dearest what ?
Summary: When the daughter of Tony Stark is in an arranged marriage with her bodyguard's best friend. Another mafia boss James Barnes the two find themselves liking the arrangement more than expected although the life of a mafia boss is never smooth sailing
Warnings: strong language , fast burn , goofy, Tony starks sarcasm , readers sarcastic ass , mafia au , age gap (legal reader 24 , buckys 40s )
To say it was awkward was probably an understatement, what was supposed to be a regular job suddenly went tits up and in a fast way hell she was only doing the job to pay for college . She, as well as three of her coworkers, sat in some kitchen while watching the rain outside poured down , kids long gone while they waited to be paid . Being fairies for kids parties was fun most times, while other times not so fun especially with some creep of a dad was slipping numbers in the straps of their dresses with a slimy wink was definitely a downside. Another was the owner gave them alcohol while they waited and now she sat with three drunk fairies . didn’t help when they did leave , they could barely stand so she was the one to apologize only for the father to slip his number and ask her to work his club sometime. With a a polite rejection , she went out to the car , lucky for her it was her uncle to collect them .
“ Hey, have fun girls” he chuckled.
“ they sure did happy ” she rolled her eyes .
“ bad one huh?” he asked.
“ well other than creepy dads and spoiled kids it was a great one” she huffed pullin a sweatshirt over herself.
“ Come on, we get food in them,” he laughed. She ignored their slurred chats with her uncle knowing he was being his gentleman self to make sure they ate before getting them home.
“ Why do you do this?” Maya slurred.
“ because I want to pay for my own college” she shrugged.
“ but your dad’s one of the richest dudes, and you got hot uncles , happy abd the adonis” Maya whined.
“ Probably because of their gangsters,” Kelly whispered . She just rolled her eyes knowing they were dying to say it and now with the bravery of the alcohol .
“ ok girls we're here” he called opening the door seeing it was one of the many places her dad was the owner of pulling off the sweatshirt she ran into the restaurant getting out of the rain .
“ you ok” her uncle asked again .
“i’m fine least they said it instead of tip-toeing” she laughed as the two walked in.
“ no alcohol for them” he called as the waiter walked over to the table as the girl collectively whine. “ i’ll see if your dad’s here” he smiled before leaving her to the other drunk fairies.
“ this place is insane” the girls giggled and snorted .
“ yeah it’s something” she hummed wishing she went home instead .
“ what can i get you ladies” the waiter eyed them up sleazy grin on his face.
“ some burgers and fries please” she smiled but the man look at her like she asked for his social security and pay check in one.
“ we don’t do that here the denny’s down the road might be more your pace” he scoffed.
“ i always have cheese burgers here and don’t assume from how were dressed ..” .
“ that your strippers trying to eat and run” he snickered.
“ hey her daddy runs this place” kelly stood swaying slightly.
“ sugar daddies don’t count” he rolled his eyes . “ look girls i’m not missing out on actual customers so ..” He was cut off by the sound of a clearing of a throat.
“ Mr. Rogers,” he gasped.
“ hey stevie happy’s gone see if dad’s here” she smiled as the mans face paled.
“ hey pretty girl” sam walked up .
“ so burger and fries thank you” she turned to the waiter.
“ right away miss stark” he ran off .
“ wow that was so cool” kelly laughed.
“ girls have fun” sam winked making them giggle like school girls .
“ they did i guess my dad is actually here” she nodded.
“ why am i seeing fairies” a voice called .
“ because pretty girl here works as one for parties duh” sam scoffed .
“ kids parties” she corrected .
“ we could change that for you guys” maya winked.
“ they could i still do kids parties” she laughed
. “Damn shame” the mysterious stranger smirked .
“ so hows college going” steve asked playfully pushing the man at his side .
“ kicking my ass but i love it” she smiled brightly.
“ princess boss wants to see you” happy called .
“ oh great” she huffed .
“ Happy, can you watch them” she pleaded.
“ course i can '' he smiled as she walked by as the men followed after.
“ so the boss rents out fairies now” the stranger asked.
“ only on Saturdays, '' she called back .
'' So what are you a sugar baby? '' the stranger asked again .
“ bucky shut up, '' Steve hissed.
“ i’m better than a sugar baby” was all she said before the men nodded.
“ shit is that his wife” she could hear him whisper.
“ new guy shush” she laughed as they walked into the room .
“ my beautiful daughter everyone” she looked as her father stood and they followed . “ Hey dad , it’s nice to meet you all” she smiled .
“ Are you still doing that kid party thing?” he asked.
“No, I dressed like this for fun” she rolled her eyes .
“ its cute kid, '' Rhodey laughed.
'' Come on sit, happy's gonna bring your friends home” her father smiled, almost too friendly for her liking .
“ what’s going on? '' she whispered to Natasha Romanoff, one of her fathers favorite co-workers, giving the woman's looks and abilities to get a job done quick and easy and her mothers sister.
“ i’m sorry” was all she said .
“ so you're all here for the partly all of you men have been selected for a reason , one of you is a suitable suitor for my dearest Y/N here” she heard the words as clear as day yet it wasn’t like she did at all . she knew it was coming. Most girls in this life were basically sold off to strengthen the business side of things.
“ Wait tony think about this” rhodey almost spat his drink .
“ I did it’s time” he dismissed him instantly. “ Dad, may I speak to you privately?” she asked sweetly .
“ Of course pumpkin” he smiled as she led the way only for Bruce to open the door .
“ thanks banner” she smiled so forcefully . Once the door was closed she wanted to throw something at her father .
“ What the hell did you fall and hit your head ? “ was all she could say .
“ Look I get i blindsided you but it’s all your choice ok , kid people need to know i run tight ship and you're part of that ship” he sighed.
“ What else aren’t you telling me” she looked at him.
“ well it’s peter , he fucked up big time lost a big a shipment” he explained .
“ that why you don’t let kids fucking do this” . “ I know but now I need you to do this for me , I'll make sure you still stay in college and all that good stuff, “ he pleaded .
“ I pick the suitor if I don't like them, it doesn't happen” she said knowing it was only the way she could gain control of the situation .
“done , there’s a dress there pep pick it out after she threw a vase at my head” he rubbed the back of his neck.
“ of all my stepmothers she’s my favorite” she smiled sadly knowing why the woman wasn’t here .
“ I'll let you change,” he smiled brightly .
“ kind of you” she scoffed .
“ Kid it’s either that or Peter pays” he sighed. “ Why do you think i’m doing it ? cause it not for you ” she growled, pulling the dress out .
Steve sat looking around the room pissed off wondering how Tony could do this and by looking at her face she wasn’t expecting it, another thing he knew it was for real . she couldn’t go with any of these men , all animals in their own way especially how Rumlow was looking at her. That was only telling he would put on the charm but they all knew how he really treated the women in his life , hell the last one found the bottom of a lake more appealing . He could feel Sam stiffen up as well knowing he and many of the Avengers gang didn’t like this. They loved Y/N like a sister or niece and this wasn’t what they wanted for her. Then like a lightbulb went off in his head he looked to his best friend beside him , He was his own man nearly up there with the Starks and he didn’t miss how Bucky froze a little in his spot when he met the stark girl .
“ I need to pull in that favor,” steve whispered.
“ which favor punk” bucky looked around the table he didn’t want her to go with these men they were cruel bastards .
“ when i saved your life , I need you to save another” he whispered.
“ is that why you brought me here?” he arched his brow.
“ no but i mean it works out better this way , come on we can work out details doesn’t need to be a real wedding” steve pleaded.
“ hey I'll cash in my favor too” sam caught on to what they were talking about .
“ Fine, I'll put myself forward as a suitor , she really means this much to you both” he asked as the men nodded.
“ she helped my sister out of a real bad situation , look a girl like her shouldn’t have to do this she a saint amongst sinners” sam sighed.
“ Plus you get in with starks like you want,” Steve added.
“ I'm rethinking that” he shook his head.
“ plus i saw your eyes when you looked at her,” Steve smirked.
“ you need your eyes checked punk” bucky smiled although his best friend wasn’t lying but he felt bad for his lie .
“ Now she agreed gentlemen so let's just have a meal then we can talk another time '' Tony announced taking his seats ignoring the glares from his own men and nat .
“ What's the deal with it all?” Rumlow smiled.
“ She picks the suitor, it's her choice and her rules” Tony took his wine . “ If you don't like it, there's the door,” he added.
“ she ok” nat asked.
“ yeah she just changing out of her fairy thing” tony shrugged.
“ i’ll go check on her” nat smiled hand squeezing tony’s shoulder a little harder making the man smile through gritted teeth.
“ malyshka” she asked, coming further into the office.
“ down here” she called laying on the floor.
“ If you want, we can run now. I'll get Bruce to get the car ready” she looked down .
“ And then how will you adopt then?” she looked up at the redhead.
“ doesn’t matter , I promised my sister i wouldn’t let you get sold off like she did”she shook her head.
“ my dad isn’t like drekov he’ll let me choose” she smiled sadly.
“ he is a little but look we can go when your ready” the red head mused.
“ i’m doing it nat peter in trouble my dad’s fault for trusting a kid to do something so big but he’s my brother i have to ” she sighed .
“ well then i’m making sure whoever it is will know the widows will be watching”.
“ i’ve no doubt they will , how is yelena” she asked standing pulling the dress over her head .
“ well lucky she not here is all i can say” she laughed dryly.
“ look i’ll be fine i can take care of myself thanks to you” she winked pulling the black dress over her head .
“ ok he so lied about pepper picking this” she scoffed as the black body con hugged every part of her body .
“ the one she picked out was down to your ankle” nat laughed.
“ hey hand me his jacket there” she called as she pulled the silver belt off her fairy costume. Pulling her fathers coat over her it covered her to extent , she look classier then the first choice that was for sure as she pulled the belt around her .
“ nice job” nat eye appraisingly rake over the impromptu change of attire.
“ well lets do this”she smiled .
“ what are you planning” nat quirked her brow.
“ nothing at all” she smirked as the widow snorted.
He couldn’t believe he was even doing this , he stood in front of tony stark telling him , he was interested in being put into the pool of suitors .
“ I'm surprised I thought you didn't marry barnes” tony asked.
“ a man can change” he shrugged yet their was secret look between the men .
“ i mean business wise he would be the best choice” steve interjected .
“ he’s not wrong but it’s not my choice so i’ll you in” tony nodded .
“ Thanks” he went to walk back to his seat, two men sharing almost a secret exchange .
“ Sit here , you move” he said as the walker got up .
“ Sir, I could take care of her,” John began.
“ move” tony repeated. The door swung open and the room went completely quiet all eyes on her even though Bucky couldn’t tear his eyes away . She looked like a model or angel or both. He wasn't sure yet only to hear a chuckle from his best friend .
“ don’t mind me using your jacket dad, its a bit chilly ” she smiled sweetly but he could see her testing her father almost willing him to say something .
“ yeah it’s nice on you kid , sharon .. i mean pepper picked great” he smiled forcefully.
“ bingo”she smirking as his eyes narrowed slightly .
“ You look like a great doll” bucky smiled. “Thank you … sorry i didn’t get your name” she held her hand out.
“ jame barnes but friends call me bucky '' he kissed her hand.
'' So sweets what was with the get up before '' Rumlow called.
“ I work as a fairy for kids' parties so I can pay for my own college fees” she smiled.
“ daddy can’t pay, ''he snorted.
'' Daddy could buy the whole college but I wanted to be independent in my own way, learning the world around you helps' ' she smiled sweetly yet her grip on the knife suggested otherwise. “ i mean most of the people put on a front for you guys it hard to read them but when you do what i do you find a lot more under the surface” she added. “ i like that , what do you do in college doll” bucky asked.
“ she is a business and law major” tony cut in actually sounding proud.
“ nah girls belong at home this modern shit fills their heads with crap” rumlow laughed. “ i think it’s great y/n’s smart as hell” steve smiled proudly.
“ i agree with rogers” clint winked .
“ good thing im a women and not a girl then “
“ so doll what’s the fairy business like” bucky smiled.
“ kids are great well sometimes it’s the parents that suck , i mean i think the dad today thought he was getting lucky getting the girls drunk but happy came and got us” she nodded her grip relaxing on the knife.
“ speaking of happy informed me they got back safe” her father smiled.
“ good lets eat i’m starving” she called as the same waiter from before came in hands shaking as he placed the food down .
“ would you like anything else ma’am” he asked a tremble in his voice.
“ nah we’re good thank you” .
“ what was that about” her father asked.
“ nothing misunderstanding” she shrugged.
“ exactly i learned my lesson sir” he squeaked as she nodded. “ fine go” he wave his hand.
“глупый идиот
(silly idiot)”she giggled as nat laughed.
“он безобидная кукла
(he’s harmless doll)” bucky smirked.
“ stop talking russian darling it’s rude” her father hissed.
“ you don’t speak it , none of you?” she asked as they all shook their heads. She looked down at her phone to see message from steve “ lift home with me” . she gave him a quick nod before turning her head to listen to the stupid stories of the men around her. It was an hours later most of the men starting to slur words and braver with their words and praises making her uncomfortable even her father could see it.
“ time for you to go” he clapped his hand.
“ i’ll take her i haven’t drank “ steve stood . “great thanks rogers entertainments coming anyways” tony smirked as the women walked in half dressed in next to nothing .
“ now the real show is here” rumlow smirked . “ i’m going to head off too” bucky stood just as a woman went to sit on his lap .
“ let me walk you out”her father smiled . she only glared at her father seeing the rest of the so call entertainment walking by .
“ don’t get any of these pregnant pepper wouldn’t be happy” she scoffed .
“ pepper is coming too” he rolled his eyes.
“ ok was nice meeting you bucky” she said shaking the mans hand before heading out to the car barely looking at her father .
“ i’ll see you later” steve nodded before he followed.
“ you passed test one barnes” was all tony said before walking back into the room as they all cheered.
She sat in the car looking down at her hands the brave front breaking once she was out of her fathers presence.
“ look i didn’t know that was happening i would of warned you” he said just as the car opened and the two men getting in .
“ i know stevie” she smiled wiping her eyes. “ we have a plan one everyone’s happy with” he said .
“ wait i’m getting in “ a voice called
“ natalia” bucky nodded.
“ ok as i was saying you still need to marry someone but this way your safe and well yeah” he said .
“ whats the plan” she sniffled as nat took her hand knowing she was being too strong.
“ you pick bucky” sam smirked.
“ you’ll get your own room in my place , continue college all you need to do is come to events and stuff with me” he smiled softly.
“ why you helping” nat asked.
“ because these punks begged me and i hate the whole marriage business thing” he sighed.
“ so whats the catch” she asked.
“ none , having a wife and part of your dads business helps me and well you don’t end up a slave for those assholes in there” he explained.
“ steve how much do you trust his word” she asked.
“ with my life it’s why i suggested it” steve promised.
“ sam?” .
“ same as steve , look pretty girl its bucky or Rumlow” sam sighed.
“ i’ll text my father” she nodded. “ leave it till tomorrow ,make it look like its not a plan” bucky nodded.
“ well boys for this you got the trust and business with the widows” nat smiled .
“ another thing you have to let me pay for your college” bucky added.
“ i like my job” she lied.
“ i mean if you wanna be fairy you can but i pay for your college” he shook his head.
“ oh i got invited to breakfast at yours so i guess i’ll see you in the morning too” he winked . nat watched the two before she smiled looking at steve in the mirror two sharing a knowing smirk of what would unfold.
“ no mistresses in the house if you do that do it in hotel” she added.
“ i don’t do mistresses doll” he said she almost believed him .
“ you gave up the whole playboy thing right?” nat asked making the girl beside her head spin .
“ i did got sick of the show , you done your research romanoff” he chuckled.
“ i make sure my niece is safe” she shrugged.
“ speaking of Yelena going to have tony’s balls for this” steve chuckled.
“ oh that’s a long line trust me” nat rolled her eyes.
“ So why are you agreeing to this?” Bucky asked.
“ You can tell him princess,” Steve nodded.
“ My little brother , well he is not actually my brother but he is , my dad took him in as a debt repayment when he was like two , I was six anyways my dad trusted him with a big job that well has us in this mess” she sighed. “ Wait parker? He like a child wait again how old are you” he asked.
“Twenty four ” she shrugged.
“ oh great midlife crisis marriage” bucky sighed ignoring how good the sound of her giggles were to his ears.
“ well lucky the marriage is for show huh old man” she winked .
“ already busting my balls” he teased.
“ oh this is gonna be good” sam chuckled .
Once nat brought her up making sure she was ok , she sat looking around her room probably last she would see of it knowing her father would rush the union once decided. Stripping the remains of her clothes she sent her boss that she was leaving the job. Before she jumped into pair of shorts and sweatshirt on pulling out her textbooks laying them all around the bed . steve and sam all asking how she was so she sent them a selfie of her studying , she looked down to see an unknown number ringing.
“ you’ll get a bad back studying like that doll” she couldn’t help smile at the familiar voice. “ well mr barnes how in the word did you get my number” she chewed on the pen suddenly the words on the page were not as interesting .
“ i may of saw the selfie and felt left out” he teased .
“ steve?” she asked.
“ i asked your dad for your number too” she could hear his grin in the phone.
“ for a selfie of me in my dorky state” she laughed.
“ hey what can i say dorky chicks are needed” . “ well if that's it , i need to dork it out some more big test coming up” she giggled .
“ oh talk dirty for me baby” he joked his laugh taking over .
“ good night barnes” she snorted.
“ good night doll” he chuckled . she could help the flush to her cheeks could she blame herself no , not at all man was sex on legs and knew it.
“ Y/N” She could here the sadness in his voice.
“ hey petey come on” she called place her phone down what she didn’t know was she hit the hang up button .
“ m’sorry i got you dragged into this , maybe if i talk to dad i could sort it out , i’ll work for whoever” he started pacing the room .
“ hey it’s ok look dad prick for even getting you to do such a big job , where was i when this was decided” she asked .
“ ballet classes or maybe away with the fairies” he teased .
“ ok funny boy look shit head i got it sorted well steve does so what i want you to do in return is be a kid not deal with this shit just to prove something to dad cause you don’t have to now like a good big sister i seen you got into MIT so if i do this you gotta do that for me” she hugged him unaware of the third party listening in on the phone.

“ nah definitely not this guys nice and not just nice front but he seems like a good guy” she nodded.
“Good guys in the mob?” he arched his brow. “ hey their not all ass grabbing alcoholics” she winked making him chuckle.
“ you think dad would let me go MIT” he asked .

“ looking forward to it doll” the voice called. “ you know it rude to listen to a private conversations” she said as her face heated up . “ hey kid i’ll talk to your dad too bye doll” he called making her hang up and throw herself into her pillow.
“Was that him?” peter squeaked.
“ uh huh” her voice muffled .
“ whats got you smiling” steve walked in .
“ she really loves that kid huh?” bucky shook his head.
“ peter of course he’s good kid not made for this life , his folk owed money but couldn’t pay stark went to pay them a visit and well took the kid as payment mainly because they weren’t able to look after him cared more about drugs turns out that night the dad went on rampage snapped on the drugs and killed a bunch of people” steve shook his head.

“ is the big bad barnes crushing on his soon to be wife” steve teased.
“ nah just nice to see caring souls in this line of work is all” he shrugged.
“ So you are asking Stark for her number?”.
“ i asked stark to arrange it once she tells him yes its a done deal” bucky shrugged ignoring his friends looks .
“ you already asked” steves eye widened .
“ actually stark rang me and i asked him to arrange it after she says yes” he smirked.
“ you think maybe you should tell her this or maybe everything else you failed to mention in the car” steve looked around the room knowing it wouldn’t be a secret for long.
“ look let's just get this breakfast over, I'll tell her tomorrow.” he sighed, making himself a drink .
“ you know i can read you like a book jerk '' Steve chuckled. “ hell even nat spotted it '' he added.
