seeing the devastation rn in lower appalachians hurts bc jesus christ first of all. and second of all esp in north carolina.... i love wnc it was my favorite part of driving from our coastal town in southern nc up to ky back and forth. i love that area sm and my mom used to live there i think. and esp when some years back in the 2010s ik a different hurricane fucked up the coastal hometown at a diff point. idk. i hate seeing it. and i know im just seeing a fraction of whats going on and will continue with climate change

#my post #when i read that the mountain parts were predicted to get hit worst with helene my stomach dropped bc i Knew #ppl in the hollers were gonna get fucked and ppl in the hills were gonna get trapped. everybody in the most rural parts of mountain country #r poor as fuck and have no resources. i cant even imagine the devstation we are not seeing simply bc the town was too small #or the family too rural for anyone to have noticed #i keep thinking abt the blue ridge mountains and the reservation in wnc and ghost town in the sky and asheville #i will thinking abt hurricane john at the same time wrecking the western coast of mexico rn just after last year too.#i wish this didnt have to happen to anybody
