that poll reminded me of my mom's response (to me wearing a croptop & my dad refusing to take me to the store) of you can wear whatever you want but your dad is allowed to not want to be seen with you, as if my dad & i are on equal footing & his choice to not be seen with me had no material effect on my quality of life. i didn't have my car & i needed a new toothbrush & some pads 💀
#i was like well he wears things i dont wanna be seen next to#and my mom was like then dont go out with him#& now she's like why dont u wanna spend time with ur dad :(#bc i dont have to accommadate him to have my basic needs met anymore#i will say i didnt change out of the croptop. i walked to the nearest gas station & got what i needed#it was like 90 degrees outside
