                      𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗥    𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚    ...                                                              𝘛𝘏𝘌    𝘋𝘜𝘒𝘌    𝘖𝘍    𝘎𝘌𝘕𝘖𝘈    .

                                         bold laughter, the eerie vastness of suburbia                                           after midnight, body language, cheshire cat                                                                  smiles, regrets.

            honourable, sacrificial and brave are three words very rarely put together to describe one person, but if you were to strike a conversation about the duke of genoa*, those would be the words on everyone’s lips.

            with a history that dates back to as early as the 1800s, the duke’s family has not skipped a mind of anybody important.    the family have had a strong foothold with their control of the duchy of genoa for the better half of two centuries, so all eyes were on the duke from the day he was born.    from birth, he was set to inherit the family’s duchy, and it was that future that aided him during his life.

            he grew up full of charm and vigour.    everything he could ever ask for was handed to him on a silver platter but all his life lessons pointed towards one single fact;  one day he would have to do the job he’s seen his father do his entire life, and if possible, he had to be better.    his family were known to be loyal to their country and loyal to their people.    carrying that notion only gave him the strength he needed to join the italian air force.    it was here, that he met prince alessandro.

            of course, they knew of each other.    in a country where everybody knows your name, it’s hard not to.    but the start of their friendship truly began when they met during training.    the arduous months that followed solidified that friendship more into a camaraderie, and from then on, it only blossomed.    they fought together and they laughed together.    they made each other smile during hard times and saw themselves in each other, creating some form of brotherhood along the way.

            although his friendship with the prince surely gained some attention, the duke wanted more.    it was when he met her;  princess leonor de bragança of portugal that he knew how he would get it.    leonor was beautiful, kind, and loved by the public.    he was charming, sweet, and everything he was raised to be in order to gain her trust and her affection.    their relationship became front page news and the public adored what seemed to be an epic love story, and it would’ve been, if his ulterior motives had not been revealed.

            the princess offered him a sort of money and power he had not been exposed to before, but once he had it, he was hungry for more.    now the relationship is over, the braganças are angry and want his title stripped as revenge, but there are complications.    not to mention that with the duke now in the programme, there’s no saying what lengths he will go to in order to keep not only his title but also his family name intact.
