#did u see the dates that went alongside the snapshots of the spirit mediums that offed themselves in this ep?#i thought it was super interesting that the anime has given us a vague timeline to be followed with jiji’s story#and if the dates shown in that order are chronological. that means jiji was being haunted by/able to see evil eye for a year 0.0 (tags via @starrygatorr)

Due to targeted harassment and the average stan of just about anything refusing to behave themselves, my comments thingy on posts is restricted.

I did not see the dates yet. I usually watch cartoons dubbed into English when its available and for some fucking reason dubbing nowadays doesn't include translating text on screen anymore. It is tremendously frustrating. At some point I'll rewatch the ep subed to see any text on screen I missed.

I will say, I have to question the human sacrifice schedule the Kito family are on. Like as far as I know, if yer doing human sacrifices to a god that should be like some annual shit. But the Enjoji family were living in the alter for some years before shit started going down. I guess they just feed the worm whenever it gets hungry and causes folks to start offing themselves but that's really inefficient both on like a worship thing and on a growing that worm big thing.

Also RIP to Jiji's mental health dealing with the tighty white bandit stare down and his parents developing suicidal tendencies/idealation for like a year. Also the whole, Jiji being terribly under slept due to being haunted and having nightmares thing. Like, yeah I can see not making the best judgement calls dealing with a spirit if a bitch hasn't had a decent night of sleep in a year.

I have questions about the use of roots for the imagery here. Animators, what are you implying?

Cause like that potentially some interesting symbolism, the roots creeping through out the hall and ensnaring Jiji. But also Way to make that scene a lot more ominous.
