Bone Crushing
Dean Winchester x Reader
Warnings: spn level gore, cursing, Dean being whipped by muscles- you know how it is.
Summary: Sometimes Dean forgets just how strong his best friend is. . . And it may or may not be one of the small factors playing into his crush on you.
A/N: this is me just channeling how I too become whipped by strong women. Please enjoy. The screenshot I based this fic off is at the bottom btw!
Tumblr media
This was bad.
This was a huge no no.
It’s a universal truth that you are not supposed to go and catch feelings for your best friend, it’s that simple. You don’t take a joint from a guy named Don, there are no dogs in the car, and you do not develop a dumb crush on your best friend.
What was so hard about following those rules? Specifically the last one?
the answer was easy. You just had to go and be one of the coolest people Dean had ever met didn’t you? You with your dumb jokes and wacky sense of humor, and your kindness and compassion. . . And your dumb muscles.
He felt like a friggin teenage girl that was stunned by some tall hunk. Your muscles weren’t massive by any means but they fit your body well, especially after years of hunting. You were strong as all get out. He had seen you take down demons twice your size and lift up heavy objects with ease.
Dude was almost jealous of your strength if he was gonna be honest.
The moments that really get him though are when you're doing the damn simplest of tasks, like that one morning in the bunker when he watched you open a particularly tight jar in a tank top and your biceps just. . . And then there was that one time up at Jodys place during the Fourth of July when Claire dared you to try and crush a watermelon with your thighs, and that was just an experience within itself. And then there were your hugs, and how you always gave the best ones, sometimes squeezing the air from his lungs. Add that to all the times Dean had let himself be beat by you in sparring and it all equaled one thing:
The man was whipped. and he would be lying if he hadn't thought Please crush me with your biceps more than once.
But you and your muscles were probably the last thing on Deans mind at the moment. . . Seeing as he had been knocked out and chained up by a couple of werewolves in what looked to be a massive storage unit, the massive metal cuffs around his wrists were chained to a bolt in the ceiling, forcing the hunter to stand.
He didn’t know how long he had been out, but when he woke his body jolted, the metal chains rattling slightly as he did. It was dark, the only source of light seeping underneath the heavy duty corrugated door, the type that clearly needed a remote or something to open with how massive the damn thing was.
He had gone out to get food. That was it. He had left you and Sam back at the motel, nose deep in research, saying he would be back in twenty. It had clearly been more than twenty by now. . .but who knew if either of you had realized how long he had been gone.
Yanking on the chains, he turned his gaze upward towards the bolt, squinting in the dark in an attempt to see better, not that it did much good. How he was gonna get out of here, he didn’t have a clue.
God, if he managed to get out of here intact, you were gonna make fun of him for this for years to come. The great Dean Winchester, bested by a couple of werewolves.
Dean spent the next half hour continually pulling on the damn chains, but it was no use. They were bolted in place, the rattling links being his only companion in the dark space. The wolves had yet to come back, no doubt planning all the brilliant ways they could off him, because if you manage to capture a Winchester is something you’re gonna wanna revel in.
Eventually he gave up, instead counting the minutes so he had something to do.
Five minutes.
Ten minutes.
He was about to hit the fifteen minute mark on his counting when he heard it. A round of gunshots echoing somewhere in the near distance, accompanied by a series of shouts.
Dean watched as a shadow quickly passed by the door and he let out a yell, doing his best to make sure whoever it was heard him through the steel door. A second passed and then the shadow backtracked.
“Dean?”
“Y/N? Oh thank god.”
“I’ll get you out of there, just a sec-“
“Doors pretty damn heavy, I think you need a remote or something to ope—“ Dean was cut off as the wheels squealed in their tracks as you pulled up the door, fingers curling around the bottom as you did. Once open far enough, you ducked and rolled into the room, the metal door slamming against the floor behind you.
“H-how-“
“What?” Groping the walls for a light switch, you finally flicked one, the room lighting up all at once. You spun around, sending him a smile. “There you are.”
“Mmhmmm-“ Dean hummed, doing his best he to not hint at the sudden squeaky high pitched noise that left his throat.. “What the hell took you so long?”
“Well-“ taking a deep breath you squatted down, pulling off your backpack to rifle through it. “Mr. I’ll leave my phone back at the motel. I put a small tracker in your wallet.”
“Oh creepy. You do that to all your friends?”
Popping back up with your lock picking tools you got to work on the massive ones locking his shackles together. “Only the idiot ones that I’m afraid might get themselves captured.”
“Oh how nice of you.”
“I know right?”
A minute later the shackles loosened and slid off his wrists, the hunter stretching as you stepped back and slid the kit back into your pack, slinging it back over your shoulders and cinching the straps.
“You good to go?”
“Yep-“ Dean started, taking a step forward, only to wince as a sharp pain went up his leg, his arm reaching out to brace himself on the wall as he inhaled. So he twisted his ankle, no big deal. He didn't need to make you worry.
Just act fine, Dean, Just act fine.
You were too busy wrestling the massive door back open to notice, your back holding it up as you looked back over. “Dean?”
“I’m fine, all good here-“
Being as subtle as he could, he ducked under the door, you popping up to him a second later as it slammed shut again. “Alright, well then let’s hit the road.”
This time unfortunately you noticed Deans limp as the two of you began to move down the hallway of storage units, the hunter doing a poor job at masking his pain. You stopped quickly in your tracks as your hand went out to grab his arm.
“Dean! I thought you said you were fine?!”
“I am.” He brushed you off, taking another step forward, wincing as his foot hit the floor. “Where’s Sam? Is he okay?”
“Sam’s fine, you big dummy. He took out the wolves-“ rushing forward, you looped Deans arm around your shoulder, supporting his weight, this time the hunter choosing not to protest and just give in. “Now what happened?”
“Probably just twisted my ankle or something when they jumped me. It’s fine.”
And then before he could even register what exactly you were doing, you were quite literally scooping the man up into your arms, carrying him down the remainder of the hallway and out into the brisk night air.
“What are you doing?!”
“Carrying you, what does it look like?”
“Yeah, but why?!”
“Because I can. And because you fucked up your ankle.” You responded, eyes finding Sam leaning against the impala. The younger Winchester raised an eyebrow before Dean sent him a silent middle finger, eyes daring him to bring up what was happening.
“What uh- what happened?” Sam cleared his throat, swinging open the passenger side door so you could slide Dean in.
“Your brother stubbed his toe.”
“Hey, I rolled my ankle!”
“Sure, Jan.” You grinned, sending him a quick wink. The hunter suddenly praying you couldn’t see the pink hue creeping across his face in the dimly lit parking lot.
Sam quickly chose to be the new driver, you sliding into the back as he started the engine and pulled out of the lot.
The drive home was quiet apart from the soft hum of the radio turned down low. You were in the back stitching up a gash you had gotten earlier, Sam had his eyes on the road, and Dean? Dean was trying not to think about the fact that he had a huge fucking crush on you and the fact that you had quiet literally swept him off his feet.
And it was like that all the way home and even when he sunk into one of the many vacant chairs in the library, you excusing yourself so you could go grab a brace for Deans ankle, (Even though he kept insisting he didn’t need one.)
The second you were out of earshot though Sam was turning to his brother, an amused look on his face. Dean frowned, knowing where he was going with this.
“Shut up.”
“I didn’t say anything. . . But you having a crush on Y/N is pretty amusing.”
“I don’t not!”
“. . . But you so do.”
“Okay-“ Dean slowly pushed up from his seat, setting down the glass of whiskey you had poured him. “Just because I think about holding her hand and kissing her. . .or whatever, does not mean I have a crush on her.”
Sam’s face slightly pulled up in further amusement, Deans death glare just making the whole thing funnier. “Wow, you are so much dumber than I originally thought, holy shit.”
“Okay, you know what? Your gonna do that thing where you shut up forever, okay? Okay, cool.” Grabbing his jacket off the back of the chair, the older Winchester headed for the hallway, half limping as he did.
And then he turned the corner. . . And froze.
You were standing in the middle of the hallway, your box of braces tucked under your arm, eyebrows raised.
“H-HEy! Didn’t see you there!” His attempt at acting smooth and calm sailing out the window as he talked, giving you an awkward smile.
“Oh, I know you didn’t.”
“H-how- how much did you hear just now? Just curious.”
You took a several steps closer, lightly shrugging. “Not much. Other than the fact that you have a big ol crush on me.”
“W-whaaaaaattttt? No!” Dean shook his head, bumping into the wall as he backed up. “No! I don’t- I don’t have a crush on you!”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. He could feel his cheeks heating up again. Damn it.
You dropped the box on the floor, stepping over it slowly as you continued to walk closer. “Are you sure about that? Because your rosy red cheeks are tellin me another story.”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Think about something else. Look at something else- No! Not her arms you idiot, that’s just gonna-
Your chest was practically touching Deans now as you stood toe to toe with him, the wall cool against his back as he looked into your eyes.
“You want me to stop?”
“S-stop what?” Dean stuttered, his breath coming out slightly shaky as he did.
Oh my god, why were you so pretty and badass and cool and strong and-
And then you were bending your knees slightly, hooking your arms around Deans thighs and picking him up, successfully pinning him to the damn wall, his arm flying out to brace himself as the sudden action took him by surprise. The hunter letting out a light yell.
“This.”
Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.
“N-no.”
And then your lips were on Deans and he was suddenly taken back by how gentle you are because he knew how much strength your body held and the feeling of your lips on his was so gentle it was just. . . So surprising.
And so damn nice.
Dean hardly had a moment to react before you pressed your tongue to the seam of his lips and, at his grant of access, delved inside his mouth.
Oh this was so much better than could have thought. So so much better. And he didn’t even give a single damn that you were the one pinning him to the damn wall. If anything he liked it. . . A lot.
As the two of you deepened the kiss the only thing that went running through Deans mind was that he was completely unprepared. You would think that after all the hours he’d spent with you- watching you talk, laugh and frown - that he would know all there was to know about your lips. But he hadn't imagined how warm they would feel pressed up against his own.
“Seriously guys?! I mean, not that I’m not thrilled or anything but in the hallway?! C’mon!” Sam’s voice breaking you apart slightly as you looked over your shoulder, Dean flipping him off once again as Sam grimaced and walked down a separate hallway. The younger Winchester shaking his head as he went.
When you looked back around, eyes finding Deans yet again, arms still holding him up he felt the awkwardness return.
“Y-your uh- you’re really strong.”
“Oh why thank you.” You smiled, leaning forward to place a soft kiss on his cheek. “And if you couldn’t tell by now, I got a big ol crush on you too.”

RANKING MY TOP 5 FICS
hello everyone. let me just take a moment to introduce myself. my name is Megan and two years ago, I started this blog originally under the user name @/syzygy-yoongi to post one shots about the boys from IQIYI’s Idol Producer. since that time, i have gain a mass following (2,000+ today) that i am forever grateful for. i have also made many friends that i love dearly and am so blessed to have in my life.
when i began this blog, i didn’t expect so many people to pay attention or to read my stories. if you remember, i was pumping out chapters two or three times a day, finishing series within a week or two because i loved writing that much.
today, i’m going to rank my top five completed series that i have written. feel free to reblog with your own opinions/rankings as well or leave me an ask with your opinions about my stories! (i’m very bored).
Now let’s get this show on the road!
SPOILERS BELOW! vvv
1. Girls Like You (Cai Xukun)
Summary: IP High School is one of the most prestigious boarding schools in China for the fine arts. Owned by the Huang family, the school only accepts the best of the best. Many of China’s biggest stars came from this school and many of their students already have offers upon their graduation.
This year will be Cai Xukun’s fourth year at the school and fourth year witnessing the favoritism of his classmate, Zhu Zhengting (who’s parents are world class dancers) as well as the favoritism from students Fan Chengcheng (little brother of China’s most famous actress) and headmasters’ son, Huang Justin. The three of them are known to run the school. They get away with being late to classes, missing classes completely, missing assignments, talking back and Xukun swears he’s never seen them in full uniform. Safe to say that he kind of despises them and their “holier-than-thou” mindsets.
So when Justin’s sister joins them for her senior year, he could only roll his eyes at the news. While all of Xukun’s friends seem to fall for her, he can’t see the magic of it all.
“Girls like you? Girls like you are the kind that I can’t stand! You think just because you’re rich and pretty that we all have to fall for you? Well news flash, it’s not going to work on me. Now stay out of my way!”
MY OPINION: I really hold this fic near and dear to my heart because of the amount of work I put into the relationship between YN and Justin, YN and Zhengting and YN and Xukun. These were the three main relationships throughout the story that I feel really made readers pick sides. In all honesty, I was very nervous the first half the the story because everyone was on Zhengting’s side. This story was one of my most popular series and I was very pleased with the outcome, though I do have some regrets.
LOVED MOST: The relationship between YN and Justin. Justin’s character was the most difficult character I have ever portrayed. The early stages of developing his character actually spurred from Charlie from the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. As for YN’s character, I grew up in a household where my parents were always at work and so I had to raise my younger siblings (obviously not to the extent of YN’s and my parents are kind people). Her motherly tendencies came a lot from the things I had personally done growing up (making meals, putting together backpacks, so on and so forth). I think of all the relationships I’ve ever written, YN’s and Justin’s “Huang or Die” relationship is always going to be my favorite.
BIGGEST REGRET: The ending. Looking back on it now, I honestly think the story should have gone another way. Of course YN runs from Zhengting but I personally think that the ending was way too rushed. It was something I put together in the matter of hours just because I wanted to get the story over with. I think now, I would have let YN have more time to be herself and to be a kid in Korea rather than carrying on being a mother. I also would have liked it if she had ended up with Chengcheng, the only boy in this entire story besides Zhengting, who had been there from start to finish . I would have also liked to have seen the more interaction with her and Yanjun and Ziyi, considering they, along with Bingbing were the main hands that took part in her escape.
2. SUBSCRIBE! (Xiao Gui)
Summary: Wang Linkai just posted videos of himself playing videos for fun. He never in a million years expected to build the type of following he did.
or
Zhu YN started off just posting little home videos for her and her friends. She never in a million years expected to build the type of following she did.
or
The one where you and Xiao Gui have no idea who the other is until one day, your brother sends you the link to a video called “REACTING TO TEXTS FROM AN ANGEL I MET TODAY!”
MY OPINION: Though Xiao Gui continues to be my bias up until today, the fic that I wrote for him is second place. I had a lot of fun writing it but with a more regrets than I did with Girls Like You. (Also let’s all remember when I wrote that he was a matcha frappe guy and then days later, he was papped with that exact drink).
LOVED MOST: Xiao Gui’s character development is something I’m always going to take pride in. I think out of all of my stories, his character was one of the most carefully planned. There were little details (such as when Gui goes from stealing Ziyi’s car keys to asking for them in the end) that really showed how much he grew. I’m also glad he didn’t just give up his dream for love and how he wanted YN to be free while he was away. I feel like had he been the same person from the beginning, he either would’ve given up his music career or made YN wait for him. I really loved to see how much he grew during this story.
BIGGEST REGRET: How YN knew Xiao Gui’s mother 🤦🏻‍♀️. That was such a plot twist ending that didn’t even make sense. I wish I had found a different way for YN to have gotten Gui to be with his mother other than “oh she sells me fruit”.
3. Smile for the Camera (Zhu Zhengting)
Summary: Nine Percent Photography is a small company with big names. Owned by Y/N, it features the faces of Cai Xukun, Chen Linong, Fan Chengcheng, Huang Justin, Lin Yanjun, Wang Ziyi and You Zhangjing.
Nine Percent Photography is best known for their creativity and ability to push their models into various aesthetics. They are one of the richest companies in Asia with every model raking in an estimated 2.3 million dollars every month. It is every model’s dream to be apart of this world class company.
Zhu Zhengting is an aspiring model. Up until this point, he has only scored small gigs. That is, until one phone call changed his entire life.
Zhengting finally has the chance to follow his dreams. He’s not going to let anything get in his way. Right?
MY OPINION: This story was the first story of mine that really blew up. It’s my pride and joy and where my following really started to build.
LOVED MOST: I loved the harmony between the company. It was like they were all destined to be together. I also liked how they were so honest with each other towards the end. I loved how they all had to fall apart to come back together. I also really appreciated Yanjun’s friendship with YN and how much YN loved her company.
BIGGEST REGRET: I should have made the the story longer so that YN and Zhengting could have had more time to fall in love with each other. I reread it a couple of weeks ago and honestly, the way the fell was so awkward and rushed. Had I gone back to write it, I would have focused more on their love story. I also wished I would have gone and written more about their modeling and/or their work since they were a modeling company. I also wished I had gone deeper into YN and Zeren’s backstory.
4. Oblivious (Wang Ziyi)
Wang Ziyi has never been the type to confront his feelings head on. He’s always swallowed the butterflies, tied his shoe laces and held on to the safety handle to make sure he never let him fall for anyone. He likes to say it’s because he doesn’t want to get his heart broken but his friends say that maybe he’s just saving those feelings for you.
or
the one where people aren’t sure whether you two really hate each other or really like each other.
MY OPINION: This was one of my more humorous stories. I’m usually an angst writer so getting to write Ziyi and YN in such a playful manner was like a breath of fresh air. This is also the story that came after I took my first hiatus (which was supposed to be like a week but ended up being like a day lol). I remember the stress of wanting to write something angsty for Ziyi and not having the storyline so instead, I decided to write a funnier story for him. Though, not as popular as Girls Like You, Subscribe! or Smile for the Camera, it still ranks high for me.
LOVED MOST: I LOVED HOW FUNNY ZIYI AND YN’S CHARACTERS WERE — actually all of them! One of my favorite parts of the story is always going to be the line where Linong says he has “bible study in an hour” and Yanjun replies “PLEASE STOP CALLING YOUR THEOLOGY (the study of the nature of God and religious beliefs) CLASS BIBLE STUDY!” All of the characters played a big part in the story unlike in the others where characters like Zhangjing and Linong are more of the background extras.
BIGGEST REGRET: THE WHOLE ENDING! I remember a lot of people were upset with YN and her plans and I agree because what she did was a bit uncalled for. But I remember just wanting it to end so I let it end the way it did. Had I gone back and rewritten it, I probably would have let Xingjie and YN play out for a bit before the two realized they were better off as friends. Sort of along the lines of Lara Jean and John Ambrose.
5. Trust Me - Lin Yanjun
Summary: Summary: Ever since you were a freshman in high school, Wang Ziyi has always felt the need to protect you. Now you’re a freshman in college and nothing has changed. When he hears that the labeled player, Lin Yanjun, is trying to make his way into your life, Ziyi finds it harder to keep his secret under wraps - especially when you make friends with You Zhangjing, Lin Yanjun’s best friend.
MY OPINION: Ah yes. I feel like this is a forgotten story of mine. It was one of my first ever series. I think I was still @/syzygy-yoongi at the time that I wrote this. I still get nostalgic when I see people finding it now. This is actually the story that got me into writing series (I had never written one before Trust Me) when a follower suggested the idea to me.
LOVED MOST: I really loved the plot twist at the end. I think of all of my stories, this was the only one that I really planned out and stuck to it. I didn’t overthink Trust Me because at the time, I did get have many followers and I didn’t have anyone to disappoint.
BIGGEST REGRET: I think the reason why I ranked Trust Me so lowly is because of the lack of quality it had. It was the earliest development of what yanjuniverse is today. This is the story that made me realize that I really had a knack for angst. I have the fondest memories of Trust Me and I’m so happy I wrote it.
Conclusion: This was my top five rankings for my completed series. Of course it doesn’t go into my incompleted series (I Bet would’ve knocked Trust Me right off of this list). This was a complete waste of time but just something I wanted to do because I had just spent the past couple of weeks rereading my fics. Hope you all enjoyed and if you made it this far, thank you so much. I’m so grateful for this blog. It really made me who I am today. I’m so grateful for the memories and how much I grew from these stories!

Instead of teaching kids that some words are automatically bad, teach them about intent.
Language evolves over time, as do insults and profanity. A lot of the words people use to insult one another are, well, nonsense. Kids are taught from a young age that words like “fuck” or “shit” or “damn” are inherently bad, and just give them a blanket statement not to use them, but don’t tell them why they’re bad, and why they shouldn’t use them. The answer is, intent. Many people, including myself, when older, use curse words not in an insulting way, but simply as emphasis or to lend comedic effect to their statement. What makes a word bad or insulting is the user’s intent behind it.
Context is also key. “These are the best fucking donuts I’ve ever had” carries a much different tone than “I’m going to fuck your brains out”. The latter is crude and aggressive, while the former conveys an impressed tone. Or try this on for size: “You’re a bitch” versus “That was bitching”. The same word is used completely differently, and the latter is an expression of excitement, completely non-offensive. Many words are only bad in a certain context: “I got screwed” versus “I screwed the nail in”. This makes the viewing of the term as a “bad” word arbitrary and changeable. There are also some words one shouldn’t use because of historical background, like the “N” word. This word can only be said safely within certain sub-cultures and demographics, otherwise it’s seen as very insulting. White people are generally not allowed to say it because of its history being used as a tool of oppression, but is frequently used as a sign of camaraderie in certain black populations.
Words have power, it’s true, but there’s a lot of wiggle room within that, it’s not just “this word is bad”. The key is connotations and intent.
Some insults are also funnier than others, and it can be difficult to explain why, because humor in a word depends not only on what it sounds like, but also what image it evokes. Take the word “dick” versus “wanker”. I suspect the latter will be funnier. Whole regional languages can have overall funnier insults, like the Scottish, and I’ve always wondered why that is. Is it about delivery? As both a French and English speaker, I can tell you with confidence that, in my experience, French is funnier than English, but I couldn’t even tell you why.
As language evolves within internet culture, we seem to be communicating in more hieroglyphic terms and also less via black-and-white words and more through emotion. Memes are an interesting example; I’m sure you’ve come across a meme that you find hilarious but couldn’t explain why to someone unfamiliar with it, and that is because there are layers of context underlying the image. Memes also evolve, and as this mode of communication evolves, so does language, and by extension, insults.
Here’s an example of something that is not considered a “bad word” but is nonetheless used as an insult: “You’re the human embodiment of stepping in a puddle with a sock on.” Makes little sense in literal terms, right? The key is that the user is associating the disappointment, discomfort, and frustration felt by someone stepping in water with a sock with the person they’re insulting. You can see a lot of creative insults on this website alone, and it’s actually both hilarious and fascinating. There’s an entire subreddit with such content called r/rareinsults. Insults are becoming more malleable, and I love it.
Now to what makes a bad word or insult, well, bad. Like I said, intent. An insult only holds power if both the user and the receiver agree that it means something, and that it’s hurtful.
A very interesting experiment with this side effect can be seen in the video called “A Class Divided”. As a lesson in discrimination, a teacher of a class of elementary kids one day told her students that blue-eyed children were better than brown-eyed children, and then later switched it around. She also gave the blue-eyed children certain advantages, and then reversed the whole thing after recess, making the brown-eyed children “better”. The idea was to see what they did with this “information” from an authority figure, and the results were both shocking and fascinating. (Don’t worry, the kids weren’t scarred, and they learned a very valuable lesson). The children turned on each other by recess, and “brown-eyes” was even used as an insult. Now, I bring this up because a term that had no negative meaning--or any connotative meaning--at the start of the day suddenly became an insult within minutes. The name-caller used it with hurtful intent, and the receiver was hurt by it, solely because they were told that it was supposedly demeaning. Furthermore, within seconds of being told that one was better than the other, the children were coming up with stereotypes for the supposedly “lesser” kids, virtually unprompted. Children are extremely susceptible, and establishing “bad words” gives the words power.
If we left children with no knowledge of what a “bad word” was, would they create their own? More than likely, yes. Many people feel the need to demean others, or clump others into a group so that they feel a sense of their own identity by not being part of that group. An interesting new insult that’s emerged is “okay, boomer”. It means nothing on its own, but people are suddenly insulted by it because it A. associates Baby Boomers with a specific undesirable personality type, and B. brushes off the receiver by putting them in that group.
To be honest, I’ve got to admit that I find the “okay boomer” insult pretty funny, mainly because the people who get called that suddenly getting so riled up over it even though they don’t have to engage. The users associate it with a personality type, and by the receivers agreeing that the term is accurate to the personality, they have given it power to insult. It takes two to tango.
Update: “Karen” has also exploded as a term used to describe people with certain characteristics and has received the most backlash from, well, women with “Karen” personality types. To be clear, if these people didn’t act a certain way, then they wouldn’t be labeled as such, and thus those offended by the term are angry because they are being called out for their behavior.
TL;DR  Insults and bad words are vague and often nonsensical, and we need to teach kids about the importance of intent rather than just giving them the blanket statement “don’t say this because it’s bad”. Why is it bad?
