✿ What makes you happy?

Being here!! Interacting with you guys, sharing random thoughts about my muses, reading other people's, occasionally writing too lol. Stories and storytelling, art in all its forms, everything humane. Wide-open bodies of water, learning weird and useless facts, my cat, thunderstorms, kindness. Idk, it's easy to find happiness in all corners of life.

Hmmmmm, I don't think I can pick one. These are not necessarily my favorites now, but they were back then, and also in no particular order:

Heidi by Johanna Spyri

The Happy Prince and Other Tales collection by Oscar Wilde

Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (these two happened to be very formative regarding the type of media I would grow up to enjoy)

The Lost World and The Land of Mist by Arthur Conan Doyle

The Call of the Wild and White Fang by Jack London

Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

and soooo many others

also encyclopedias, particularly one about dinosaurs and prehistoric life

I will also mention Cuore by Edmondo De Amicis, another childhood beloved, because you're the one asking this. I wasn't a particularly smart kid though, so the Italian patriotic themes definitely flew right over my head lmao
