Looking at your phone makes you want to throw up.
“out of literally everyone he pulls… that? gotta be a joke”
“jay deserves sm better”
“if that thing got a chance with him that means i’d be unstoppable”
“pls tell me this is a joke”
“girlie gotta have a crazy head game cuz ain’t no way lmfao”
As if you don’t feel bad enough about yourself already.
Ever since the photo of you and your boyfriend coming back from a date leaked to the internet, there’s been nothing but a ridiculous amount of hatred directed towards your clueless self.
In the morning Jay’s text saying please stay offline today baby was enough to make your stomach churn without even knowing what was actually happening. And against his words and your common sense, your fingers instantly went to the first better social media app on screen’s your homepage.
And so with every single comment put out on the internet, you feel your confidence and self-worth slowly crumbling down until they have eventually worn you out and you’re nothing but a sobbing mess ever since the morning. Your head hurts from all the crying yet the slightly masochistic part of yourself doesn’t let you tear your gaze away from the screen.
Maybe it’s because deep down you’ve always felt like you’re not good enough to be dating such a man as Jay, and the insecure thoughts he’s worked so hard to bury six feet underneath your feet have just resurfaced once again.
Knowing he’s surrounded by almost literal embodiments of the beauty standard on a daily basis and then having to come home to a plain nobody like you can’t be good for no one’s mental health, that’s for sure.
“Baby?”
The lump stretches your throat too painfully for you to make any other sound than the whimper you let out, and soon you hear Jay’s footsteps approaching your suffocatingly silent room.
“Are you there, love?”
You press your trembling lips together and nod your head, trying to force yourself to stop being so emotional for once. The last thing you want him to do is deal with… this, whatever your current state is.
“You’ve been reading the comments,” he points out quietly, but not with accusation – only worry. His heart squeezes with desperation to somehow make you feel better, yet you take his silence as a sign of disappointment in you.
And somehow you can’t bring yourself to look into his eyes, too swallowed by shame.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper eventually after a couple beats of silence. Your head drops lowly onto your bunched up knees. “I just had to see it myself.”
“Hey, no more twitter, no more instagram – no more,” Jay pleads softly as he carefully takes your phone out of your weak grasp and sets it on the bedside table, only to thread his fingers through yours and intertwine them together. “Don’t do this to yourself. Please, stop crying, beautiful. They don’t deserve your tears, hm?”
A sob rips out of your throat and echoes through the silent room, simultaneously breaking your boyfriend’s heart in two. “It’s just… I-,” you’re unable to finish your sentence with the hundreds of thoughts running around your mind, not giving you a moment of peace since hours ago.
“I know nothing I say will make you feel better now,” Jay whispers, shuffling closer on the bed until his chest is pressed against your shoulder and he envelops you in a protective embrace. He presses a warm kiss to your temple. “I love you. I hate to see you like that, honey.”
You nod your head, sniffling loudly and choking on your own sobs. “I love you too,” you cry quietly, moving your head to rest against his chest. “I just don’t feel good with myself right now.”
Jay hums. His hands blindly reach to your face to wipe your tears away, fingers gently caressing your damp face. “I know.” His words are muffled by your hair as he nuzzles his face in it. “I’m sorry.”
You can clearly hear the violent beating of his heart from your position and the insides of your stomach twist with sadness because you know well he’s blaming himself for everything. He promised to protect you at the beginning of your relationship, forever and always, and yet he’s failed at the one thing that should’ve been of the highest importance to him.
He felt conflicted about his job more times than he would like to admit. The constant restrictions, always having to watch his words and actions, the almost non-existent privacy – it was tough, annoying, but he could take it.
But he’s never hated being who he is more than he does right now. Seeing the person he loves the most, the person who holds his entire world, being in such a miserable state because of his job makes him feel just so helpless.
Swallowing his self-pity, Jay soothes you as gently as he can. His fingers thread through your hair, waiting patiently until your heavy sobs turn into hiccups and eventually small whimpers.
“I chose you, YN,” he finally says softly, hand pushing the hair sticking to your face away as the other one cups your cheek and brings you to look at him. “I chose you and I’d choose you over everyone else. It’s always going to be you. Always.”
You blink your lashes heavy with tears, cheeks stinging from the excessive amount of them that has dropped down your face. He nudges your cheek with his nose before pressing a gentle kiss to your brow bone. This tender gesture and his words finally allow the smallest smile to appear on your lips.
“There’s my pretty girl,” Jay giggled. His arms wrap tighter around you before he lifts you up and pulls you onto his lap. “You know, it’s okay if you don’t fully love yourself yet, I can do it for the both of us for now, baby. Please, believe me.”
You nod your head, now choked up for a whole different reason. You let him lean in and join your lips together in a sweet kiss. His knuckles caress your cheeks and chin as he plants a chain of pecks on your swollen mouth.
He tries to break the kiss but you don’t let him get too far away, pulling him back in by his neck and crashing your lips together again, this time more desperately. Jay’s fingers slip into the loopholes of your pants, bringing you closer and closer until there’s no space left between your chests.
The hushed I love you’s coming out from both of your mouths, his warm lips sucking a kiss after kiss on yours, his hand that drops down and sneaks underneath your top to linger over your skin – you’re becoming dizzy from the overwhelming love you’re being given.
“I’ve achieved everything because of you, love. I am who I am because of you,” he breathes out into your lips, forehead bumping against yours. One last time, he kisses the whatever is left of your tears away, then goes back to your hungry lips. “I’d give you the world if you asked me to. Let me take care of you, like you always do for me.”
With a strong move, he pulls you off his lap and lays you down on the plushy bedding. You shiver when the warmth of his body leaves you, only to catch your breath when he drops to the ground with the dull sound of his knees hitting the wooden floor.
His warm hands rub your thighs soothingly, palming your inflamed skin before his lips follow their lead and pepper small kisses all over them, gradually traveling higher. You can hardly breathe from the tension, impatiently waiting for his every next move, the exhaustion in your body making you feel everything tenfold.
The whisper you let out is strangled because of the prominent tingling in between your thighs. “I need you, Jay.”
With a hum of acknowledgement, he unzips then takes off your pants along with your underwear, discarding the clothes somewhere on the floor blindly.  Breath hitches in your throat when he leans forward and finally buries his face between your legs, lips softly grazing your warmth.
His hands push on your inner thighs, holding your legs wide open as he leans down and presses a kiss to your pussy. A jolt shoots through your body when his teeth brush over your clit before he ducks his head down and engulfs it with his warm mouth entirely.
A shiver runs down your spine when his tongue runs flat against your clit, another but longer lick following right after. Your fingers clench on the duvet beneath you as you pant and whimper with every move that he makes.
Jay’s thumbs circle and press on the smooth skin on your thighs, he himself humming and grunting into your pussy as he slurps you up.
You’re perfect, so perfect in his eyes, yet the angle is still not satisfying to him, constantly searching for a better access to your quivering hole. Suddenly, his arms wrap around your knees and he swiftly lifts your legs further up, almost folding you in half as he sinks his mouth in your wetness again, groaning at how much better he can eat you out now. Properly.
A loud moan ripples from your throat and you jerk in his hold violently, not expecting him to just manhandle you like this. You’re just there, mind blank and eyes fluttering shut when Jay pushes his tongue into your hole, fucking and stretching you with it as best as he can. He’s being so loud with it, so nasty that you can’t help but surrender yourself to him completely, losing yourself to him over and over again.
Two of his warm fingers circle your weeping hole before letting them sink inside slowly, gently. With the addiction of his nose brushing over your clit, his tongue never halting its movements and now working in harmony with his fingers, you’re barely responsive.
You mewl and whine breathlessly, sweat starting to create a thin layer on your worked up body. Jay pulls away to take a breath and admire your blissed out face, long fingers curling up, and he ducks his head to cover your sensitive thighs with marks and bites.
“Aah, s’ good,” you slur out, arching your back off the bed slightly.
“Yeah? You like that, baby?” Jay asks, sucking one last hickey on your inner thigh before moving back to your needy cunt. You can only hum in agreement, the noise quickly turning into another string of moans and wails as you feel your approaching high.
Jay cranes his neck to get to you at the best angle, one that will help you reach your climax the fastest. He didn’t even realize when his now hard cock started rutting against the bed slowly, only focused on you and you only, restraining his own pleasure.
You open your mouth to warn him of your incoming release but before you can do that, Jay speeds up the movement of his fingers and has you coming within a second, a loud cry of his name on your lips serving as honey for his ears.
He drags his face away from your glistening pussy to take a look at your face.
You’re so beautiful, so perfect, soft and all his.
“My prettiest,” he murmurs, planting a bunch of kisses against your thighs and stomach before lifting himself on his arms and crawling to get you to face him, laying breathlessly beneath him.
He lowers himself to kiss you right on the lips, the slick from his face smearing against yours slightly but you’re too far gone to pay it any mind.
“I love you,” is all you’re able to choke out in a whisper. Jay smiles and brushes his nose against yours, kissing you once, then twice and thrice before letting you fill your lungs again.
“I love you more.”
And as much as you want to protest at first, you realize that he might be actually right. There’s no doubt of your feelings or devotion to him, you gave him your entire heart a long time ago, entrusted him with all you are and had enough faith in him to never make you regret your decision.
But no one loves like Jay does. His love is pure and raw, coming from the depth of his heart and overshadowing all other feelings you’ve ever harbored to another man.
That’s how you also know that no matter anything you’ll always end up together, overcome everything.
His gentle hands grab the bottom of the t-shirt you’re wearing, his actually now that he takes a better look at it, then lifts it up, revealing your perky breasts to him. He plants kisses against them, simultaneously unzipping his pants and kicking them down to the floor. His boxers are discarded next and you help him unbutton his shirt with your shaky fingers.
“Make me yours,” you say into his lips once you’re done with that, hand pressed against his cheek.
Your words are enough to send Jay’s patience out the window, and he’s lifting your leg to hook it over his waist before sinking his hard cock inside you, your walls instantly sucking him in to the hilt. He groans at the warmth that engulfs him, squeezing him so tightly he can barely move.
Your heart pounds in your chest, blood rushing to your cheeks at the intimacy, his eyes boring into you lovingly. Because that’s what he is. Utterly, hopelessly lovesick.
His chest heaves above yours for a moment as he lets you adjust and relax around him before settling for a slower and deep pace. Your breaths get ragged quickly, listening to the filthy squelching whenever he pulls out of you only to sink in further each time.
“See, baby? It’s all good now,” he rasps, sweaty hair beginning to cling to his forehead because of the stuffiness in your bedroom. “You don’t need anyone else. Only me. I’ll take care of you.”
“Only you,” you repeat after him, watching his eyes sparkle and eyebrows furrow.
He lets out a chuckle, out of breath. “Good girl.”
His hold on you tightens as he fucks into you, his large hand slipping to the back of your head and pressing your face to his neck. His thrusts grow faster, more erratic and messy, and the only thing you’re able to do at the moment is whine desperately into his skin and wrap your other leg over his hips, thighs clenching his sides even tighter.
You feel better. You feel heavenly. You feel loved.
He bullies his way so deep inside you that you feel as if on the verge of blacking out. It’s so good. You’re pretty sure you’re going to leave a drool stain on your boyfriend’s toned shoulder once you pull away from there as you’re just unable to close your mouth for a second, too fucked out to have any control over it now.
“Can I go a little faster, sweetheart?” Jay asks.
You whine into the junction of his neck. “Mhm.”
And so he does, his touch growing in intensity as well. He lets go of your neck and your head falls back onto the pillows and you finally get to look at his face, expression so soft and tender, and a stark contrast to the way he fucks you.
Your stomach sets ablaze with every loud clap of his hips against yours, his precum making a mess on your thighs.
“Fucking hell,” he moans lowly, not being able to get enough of the doe-eyed look you’re giving him. He didn’t know it was possible, but he thinks he loves you even a little more than yesterday.
The sloppy sound of your wet skin colliding with his ricochets off of your bedroom’s walls and your eyes water again – this reason completely contrasting to the earlier heartbreak. Jay is here to kiss all of your tears away, his warm lips tracing your cheeks and collecting every salty droplet that falls on your skin.
You throw your head back, nails digging into his shoulder blades. And then he reaches down with the one hand that’s not holding you, pressing his fingers on your swollen clit and rubbing circles on it, making you grow lightheaded again.
His never ceasing thrusts keep hitting your g-spot, without even giving you a second to breathe.
“J-Jay,” you whimper, voice wet and small, and he knows exactly what you want to communicate to him.
You fall apart in his arms as your orgasm hits your sensitive pussy even harder this time, making you squirt with a shallow gasp for air. You feel completely owned by him at the moment.
Jay’s eyes roll to the back of his skull for a hot minute, his cock aching and twitching as your walls spasm and squeeze him mercilessly. He buries his face in your neck now, nibbling under your ears and panting heavily against your skin.
Jay cums hard, probably harder than he ever has before – all because he knows he’s fucked you so good you can’t stop shaking in his arms. His own thighs begin to quiver a little as he ruts his emptying cock into your warm pussy, filling you up so nicely.
It’s the choked up wail that leaves your throat that spurs him into pushing more of his throbbing length into your sensitive self. His warm cum fills you to the brim, seeping slowly onto your thighs, yet he keeps snapping his hips against you slowly. “That’s it. Take it, baby. Take it all.”
Your lips part and when he pulls away from your neck, he immediately slides his tongue against yours. His kisses are sloppy and hot and wet but that only pushes you even further into the state of bliss, completely losing your mind for the man above you.
Your back is arched, making you press your chest into his forcefully as you jolt and twitch from overstimulation as he pulls out his soft cock out of you carefully.
Jay’s lips press to your temple warmly with a soothing intention. You try to catch your breath, body sweaty and clammy just like your hair. Yet you look just as pretty as ever to him. His prettiest girl.
He collapses onto the bed next to you and lets you cling to him for as long as you want to, holding you tightly to his chest and drowning you in praises and compliments. It’s only when he notices that your eyelids are growing heavy that he gently pulls you away and up from the bed, steadying your wobbly self on the rug beside your bed.
You look at him in confusion, eyes misty and tired and he can’t help but giggle and kiss you one more time. “We should probably take a shower first,” he flicks your nose when you scrunch it up slightly but then you nod your head.
When you start walking into the direction of the bathroom, goosebumps spiking your skin despite the hot temperature in the room, you turn around and frown when you notice that Jay has stayed behind you.
“You’re not coming, love?” You ask but he shakes his head.
“You go first, baby. I’ll be right there in a second.” He nods his head to the ruined bedding. “Gotta change the sheets first.”
You flush as you take in the mess you’ve both made. “Right,” you mumble and then disappear behind the door.
When you’re both showered and back in the bed together, you’re propping yourself on your elbows, trying to reach the switch of the lamp on the bedside table. You don’t get far when Jay’s arm wraps itself across your torso and brings you back down, right into his chest.
“Stay,” he mumbles, nuzzling his face in your hair.
You giggle quietly but give in and lay comfortably, half on the bed and half on your boyfriend. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Jay hums lowly. “I mean forever. Stay with me forever.”
You look at him, eyes slightly widening despite how tired you are, and his words take your breath away when you realize he’s dead serious. You’re at a loss of words, looking at the man by your side, stunned, yet he only smiles lazily and brings your hand to his lips to press his warm lips against your knuckles.
“Marry me.”

You Are Definitely Not Fine
(Part of MCU Spiderman Stories)
Part One
“What are the plans for today, Friday?” Tony asks as he walks towards the workshop to grab a few things.
No response.
“Friday?”
“Sir, there’s a problem,” Friday says.
“With your systems?”
“No, sir. It’s Peter.”
Dread fills Tony and he quickens his pace. “Where is he and what’s the problem?”
“He’s in the lab, but his temperature is over one hundred degrees. I went offline for an update last night and I came back online this morning and he’s working in the lab with a high fever.”
“Was he in the lab last night?”
“Not when I went offline.”
Tony bursts into the lab and Peter jumps a bit.
“Mr. Stark, don’t scare me like that,” Peter says, sinking back into his seat.
He gets back to what he was working on.
“Peter, you shouldn’t be working with a fever,” Tony replies as he gets closer to Peter’s desk.
“I’m alright, it’s just a headache.”
“Friday says you’re running a fever.”
Peter puts his hand against his head. “I feel a little warm, but that’s alright. I’ll just work through it. I’ve got stuff due and my suit needs to be fixed. Karen keeps glitching on me and…”
Tony puts a hand on Peter’s shoulder, putting a stop to his rambling.
“You’re not working anymore until this fever breaks. Come on.”
“No thanks, I’m good, Mr. Stark.”
Tony and Peter stare at each for a minute, both a little shocked at his response.
“Look, this is for your own good, kid. Come on and let’s get you upstairs and settle. The quicker you get better, the quicker you can get back to your projects. Also, I’ll have Friday look over Karen’s program and see if there’s anything wrong. Sound good?”
Peter nods. “Yeah, okay. I’m a little tired. I could rest for a bit.”
“Good, let’s get going then.”
Tony starts walking towards the elevator, keeping his attention on Peter. Peter gets exactly one step away from the desk before he faceplants. Tony runs over there.
“I don’t think my legs are cooperating,” Peter says. “And I feel kinda sick now.”
Tony helps Peter to his feet and then helps him to the elevator. Peter gags as the elevator starts going up.
“I’m not gonna throw up,” Peter mumbles.
“It’s okay if you do,” Tony says. “There are people that clean the place.”
Peter opens his mouth to respond, then covers his mouth as he gags again. The elevator opens and Tony leads Peter to the couch. He grabs a trash can and pulls it over to Peter.
“If you actually throw up, try to throw up in this. On the other hand, it’s fine if you miss.”
Peter nods. Tony’s phone starts ringing, so he looks at it.
He answers. “Hey, hot stuff.”
“Hi, Tony. Why did I just get an email saying that the address got canceled?”
“That was Friday, and it’s because I’m not going. I’m with the kid, he’s sick.”
“How sick? Is he fine?”
Peter starts throwing up in the trash can.
“He’s definitely not fine, he’s throwing up,” Tony says. “Can you just tell me what to do, Pepper?”
“What’s his temperature?” Pepper asks.
“Friday, what’s his temperature now?”
“It’s one hundred two right now, sir.”
“Did you hear her?”
“Yes, I did. He may have to go to the hospital, Tony. That’s a high fever, especially to have come on so rapidly. Have him take something and try and see if he can sweat it out. If his fever doesn’t start to break in a couple hours, take him to the hospital.”
Peter’s not throwing up anymore, which is good.
“Okay, I will. Thank you, hot stuff.”
“You’re welcome. I’ll be back in five hours.”
“Alright. Hopefully I’ll be here. Bye.”
“Bye.”
Tony hangs up, then goes back over to Peter. Peter’s sipping the water, obviously trying not to make himself throw up again. Tony stays there with Peter until Pepper arrives at the compound almost seven hours later.
Tony heads out to greet Pepper and Happy. When Pepper gets out of the car, she smiles at him.
Tony smiles back. “What took so long?”
“Delay at the airport. It’s dealt with and we’re here, so no reason to worry. How’s Peter?”
“His fever started to break at the two hour mark, and his fever’s almost gone now,” Tony says. “You’ll be proud to know I never left the kid’s side except now to come meet you at the door.”
“I am proud of you,” Pepper says. “I’m sure Happy is too.”
Happy gets out of the car.
“Is the kid okay?” he shouts.
“Yeah, Peter’s alright!” Tony turns to Pepper. “Man, you’d think he cares.”
“Stop it, Tony. You know he does.”
Tony opens the door to the compound and Pepper walks in. Happy runs in, so Tony follows suit. When they get up to the top floor, Peter’s eyes are open from where he’s laying on the couch.
“Hey, sleepyhead,” Tony says.
Peter blinks, then waves. Tony smiles for a moment, then heads into the kitchen. Tony can hear Pepper and Happy talking to Peter, but can’t make out what they’re actually saying. He comes back with a glass of water and it looks like Peter is trying to hide. Neither of them are close and they’re not talking loudly.
Tony goes over and taps him. “Hey, what’s your problem?”
Peter just makes a huffy noise.
Tony snickers, then shakes his head. “He’s fine, I guess. Just probably still tired.”
“Yeah, we should give him some space,” Pepper says. “Just keep checking up on him to make sure that he stays on the right track.”
Happy nods, and they go their separate ways.
Part Two
“I’m here, Mr. Stark,” Peter says as he walks into Tony’s lab in the compound. “Where’s Ms. Potts? I didn’t see her in her office like I normally do.”
“She’s visiting her parents. Since they hate me with every fiber of their being, I usually opt to stay here so it doesn’t turn into a stressful event for Pepper,” Tony says from under a desk.
He sounds off.
“You alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Tony moves out from underneath the desk and Peter can immediately tell that something is very wrong. Mostly because the workshop is very warm and Tony’s shaking, like he’s cold. Peter jogs over, then situates the glasses Tony gave him that have Karen built into them.
“Are you sure? It looks like…”
Peter reaches up and puts his wrist against Tony’s forehead with no warning. The senior doesn’t flinch away, just looks a little curious.
“You’re warm,” Peter says. “Friday, what’s Mr. Stark’s temperature?”
“His temperature is currently one hundred and two, but it’s been rising since he came into the workshop,” Friday answers.
Peter grabs Tony’s hand and starts leading him towards the door.
“Where are we going?” Tony asks.
“Upstairs. You’ve got a fever, so you need medicine and rest,” Peter answers. “Thank you, Friday. Can you alert anyone upstairs to our arrival?”
“Nobody will be in the compound this weekend. Everyone has other plans and places to stay.”
“Oh wow, it’s just gonna be us then. Thanks again, Friday.”
“My pleasure, Peter.”
They get to the elevator and Peter pushes the button.
“I’m fine,” Tony says.
“Clearly not,” Peter replies.
The elevator opens and Peter drags Tony inside. The ride to the top floor is silent, Peter anxiously taping his foot. Once they get up there, Peter gets Tony seated at the table in the dining room.
“What are we doing here?” Tony asks.
“I’m gonna get you something to eat if there’s anything and if there’s not, then you’re just gonna drink a glass of water and take something. Also, I need to text Aunt May. Karen, can you text May and tell her that I may be staying here at the compound overnight?”
“Alright, done,” Karen says.
“Thank you much.”
“So you like the glasses with Karen?” Tony asks, then coughs.
“Of course I do, Mr. Stark. They’re amazing. Also, so much easier to text people like this.”
Tony nods. Peter walks into the kitchen and starts searching for food.
“Why is it that the only food here is Kraft Mac & Cheese?” Peter asks.
“How am I supposed to know?” Tony replies. “I don’t buy food unless I need to.”
“It’s fine, the water and meds will be fine. Friday, can you set up a grocery list? I’ll go with Happy later or something.”
“The list is already made. Happy had plans to go shopping later.”
“Oh, well there’s that.”
Peter goes and grabs the meds out of the bathroom, then heads back into the kitchen. Tony starts coughing again. He gets a cup of water and heads back into the dining room. He puts them on the table in front of Tony. Tony takes the meds, then puts his head on the table.
“I’m fine. It’s probably just a little cold.”
Tony then starts violently coughing.
“You see, you’re not fine,” Peter says.
“I’m fine,” Tony wheezes out once he stops coughing.
“You’re not fine, you’re coughing up your lungs, Mr. Stark.”
Tony sighs. “There’s nothing I can do to get you to let me back into my lab, is there?”
“Absolutely not. Come on, let’s get you to bed now.”
Peter leads Tony to his room and Tony just obediently follows. Peter hands Tony pajamas.
“You get changed and I’m gonna grab water. Do you want a book or something that is not a project?”
Tony shakes his head, so Peter heads back out of the room. After walking the easy path to the kitchen, he gets a cup of water. He looks around, not used to the compound being quiet.
“Friday, when I come back can you turn on quiet music? Don’t care what type, whatever you have on hand.”
“Of course, Peter.”
“Thank you.”
He walks back into Tony’s room and he’s sitting on the bed, clearly lost in thought. “Hey, Mr. Stark.”
“Hey, kid.”
Peter puts the water on the nightstand.
“Do you need anything else before I leave you to get some rest?” Peter asks.
“No,” Tony answers. “Thanks, kid.”
“You’re welcome. I’ll just be in the other room, so you can just let Friday know if you need anything and she’ll let me know.”
Tony nods.
Peter waits in the doorway until Tony’s fully settled in bed, then heads back into the living room. Tony’s workshop playlist starts playing once he’s seated on the couch. Peter smiles, then pulls out his homework to work on.

Hiii ive been offline for a while and seen you were doing blurbs yaay! You are my fav writer hands down. If it aint too late could i please request number 82 from the smut prompt list with 'montreal era rog omg my fav 😍
awww you're so sweet! Thanks for the request!
82: Exhibitionism
(there is also a lil tiny bit of spanking)
You hadn’t originally planned to join the band for most all of the tour, but Roger had practically begged you to come claiming he couldn’t survive the whole thing without you.  “The guys are wretches and they pick on me and I need a fun woman like you to spend time with.”  You laughed at his dramatics and agreed. Truth was you liked touring with them. You’d just assumed that Roger had grown up too much to need a groupie but apparently you were wrong. So you hopped on their flight and followed them to the other side of the world.
Tensions were high the night of the Montreal show though everyone was trying to play it cool since there were cameras around filming. You stayed out of the way during their rehearsal, knowing they’d need to concentrate and not wanting to be caught on tape too much. But you did watch them run through the show, testing their instruments and the lighting rig and whatever else they needed to prepare. A couple of hours before the show Roger disappeared to change and warm up but you knew he’d find you when he wanted you even if that wasn’t until after the show. Instead you found your way to the back of the stage. Peering out from behind a heavy black curtain you could see the team of roadies setting up and tuning the instruments and a little further away, the audience filing into their seats.
“Hey,” said a familiar rough voice from just behind your ear.   “I’ve been watching the crowd come in,” you half whispered, not wanting any of the men working just on the other side of the curtain to hear you, “This is going to be an amazing show.”  “Yeah I’ve got a good feeling about tonight,” Roger grabbed your hand and drew you further down the little corridor behind the curtain, deeper into the shadows, “Although you say that about every show.”  “It pays to be nice to you,” you giggled as Roger drew you over to where his timpani were waiting to be dragged out on stage.   He hummed, pulling aside the curtain so you could see the crowd for your new angle. But to do so he had to lean over you, his hips against your arse.   You pushed back a little, teasing, trying to figure out if he intended to have you before he went out on stage or not. You suspected he did or else he'd be in the change room with the others warming up, but you could never be one hundred percent certain with Roger.   You grew more certain of what he wanted as his hand settled on your waist and he pressed his lips to your neck.  “Not gonna save it for after the show?”  “No, I really think I need to now. You look so sexy and you’ve got me all excited. I don’t want it to interfere with my performance.” His hand slipped under the hem of your dress to toy with you through your knickers.  You giggled again as you felt his cock stir against your arse, “Maybe we should find a private room. I’m sure theres a bathroom or something we can defile.”  “They can’t see us,” he murmured, mouthing at your pulse point, his fingers more instistently touching you.  “Charming,” you admonished though not seriously. You were used to Roger’s charms and how much he liked the danger of playing in public.  “Alright,” he shrugged, leaning close to you ear, “What if I said I want to pump you full of cum so you can spend the whole show feeling it drip into your panties and then after I’m done playing I’ll take you back to the hotel, gag you with your messy knickers, and fill you again.”  You bit back a whimper but you couldn’t keep from squirming a little, rubbing yourself against his rapidly stiffening cock.   That just made him laugh, “See, you want it too. Are you going to be good and let me fill my favourite pussy or do I have to make you behave?”  You jolted as he shifted his stance to give your arse a quick slap.  “I’ll be good Roger,” you almost whined, bending over the timpani and hiking up your skirt.   “That’s my girl,” he cooed, pulling your knickers aside and easing himself into you.
You gasped for air as he began fucking you, his pace punishingly fast. You had no way to know if he was being considerate in trying to get you both off quickly, knowing full well that while you were hidden it was still possible for anyone to stumble onto you, or if he was just so aroused by the idea of being caught that it made him excited and rough. Either way though it was good. You had to bite down on your arm to keep from being too loud, just in case someone on the other side of the curtain heard.   Roger was less concerned with that though, turning the danger into dirty talk. “Wouldn’t it be so hot if someone heard you. God I’d love to put a mic on you so everyone could hear how good I fuck you. Go on, moan properly so they all know.”  You tried to hold off but he swatted your arse cheek again, “Moan. Or so help me god I wont stop until someone does hear.”  That did make you moan, drawn out and desperate.  Roger laughed through his ragged breath, “G-good gi-rl.” He reached around to rub your clit, “Better cum soon or the whole crew will finish setting up and they’ll all see you. Unless you want them to know how my favourite whore looks taking my cock.”  You whined but his fingers were relentless, circling your clit the way he knew you liked as he kept fucking into you. You moaned again as you came.   And with your orgasm it didn’t take long for Roger to make good on the first part of his plan, pulling your hips back against him, fingertips digging into your skin, so you were flush against him with his cock buried deep as he filled you.
You stayed bent over the timpani as Roger fixed your underwear and smoothed down your dress before tucking himself back into his pants.  “Thanks love,” he said, kissing your temple, “I needed that. You should go find your seat now. I’ll find you afterwards so we can go back to the hotel.”  With an appreciative pat on your arse and an amused wink Roger headed off out of the dingy corridor, ready to play.

A new life is on the horizon
Chapter 2
3 months earlier
Tony read through the report files for his and Steve’s upcoming mission. It seemed pretty simple. An in and out job. The classic gets the thing that could kill everyone out of the control of Hydra. Steve walked into his office for a briefing before he finished up packing. He placed a kiss on Tony’s shoulder, grabbing the report out of his lover’s hand. “So, is this mission going to be a quick in and out. Maybe have enough time to go to that restaurant you love or are we going to die?” Tony chuckled grabbing the piece of paper back. “It will be more like a staying in a really nice resort called the ground and your arms.” Steve wrapped his arms around him never letting go. As long as Tony was in his arms he didn’t care where he slept.
“Later tonight do you want to work on your training.” He placed his lips in the crook of Tony’s neck, sending shivers through his body. Tony spun his chair around to face the man he loved, with a bright smile. Tony grabbed the front of Steve’s shirt pulling him closer placing an intense kiss. A low groan came from the other man’s throat. Steve grabbed hold of Tony’s belt; working to get it lose. Tony placed his hands-on top of Steve’s halting Steve’s movements. Tony leaned closer to take in the smell of Irish spring. “Can we start that training now?” Steve lifted Tony into his arms releasing a squeal from his boyfriend.
Rhodey and Carol laid awake in their bed. It wasn’t easy to fell asleep when the room next to them was making so much noise. Carol curled closer to Rhodey’s side slowly closing her eyes until there was another bang on the wall. Carol jumped up banging back. “Ugh, can they stop? They have been going at it for the last two hours.” Rhodey stayed lying in bed scrolling through his phone not paying any attention to the noise. After rooming with Tony through college, you kind of just ignored the moanings of the great Tony Stark. Rhodey patted the bed indicating for Carol to come back to bed. “Sweetheart come lay back down. Tony has about two more rounds in him.” “Eww, please I don’t want to know about Steve and Tony’s sex life.” That just made him laugh. Carol scrolled him but got into bed curling up beside him. She plucked the phone out of his hands forcing him to turn and look at her. She was fascinating looking. She was his shining star that lead him back to Earth. He giggled to himself. Maybe he was her thing that brought her back down to Earth.
“Are you okay?” Rhodey grabbed hold of her hand; massaging each of her fingers. “You know just a lot on my mind. Two of my closes friends are going head first into a Hydra camp with no help. Bucky and I both have a gut feeling something is going to happen, but Tony reassured me that everything was going to be alright but I’m not sure.” Rhodey sucked in a breath continuing to play with her fingers. “Then you have your mission against the Kree. And I know you can take care of yourself. I just hope you know you never have too alone.” Carol snaked her fingers through Rhodey’s. “Look at me” Rhodey did as asked and saw not a mean glare but more like a strong glaze. “James, I love that you care so deeply for all of us. But you need to take better care of yourself. Worry less darling. Don’t you have your meeting with the council tomorrow. That means you need to get some sleep.” Rhodey nodded in agreement placing a kiss to her cheek. He knew she was right. It was just hard for him to really ease his mind after everything he had gone through with all of his friends. He almost lost them more then once and what scared him the most was next time one of them wasn’t going to come back.
Steve laced up his last boot. Pulled on his gloves and grabbed his shield, clicking it onto his back. He stared into the mirror looking at the man he no longer recognized the man that was long forgotten. Captain America was the man out of time. The man that was searching for a home where he finally felt like he belong. Captain America was an angry man looking for a fight. He was man that couldn’t live without a war. He wasn’t that man anymore.
Steve Rogers was the man that had finally found peace and happiness. He was the man didn’t want to fight anymore. He was ready to explore the man he became and grow a life with Tony. The one he loved. The one he never knew he was allowed to have. Steve reached into his pocket pulling out a small black box. He opened to find a silver ring that was made out of vibranium.
“Hey, what’s that?” Steve shut the box quickly shoving it back in his pocket. “Oh, nothing. Bucky just dropped it off. He um.” Steve scratched the back of his neck to find a convincing lie that Tony would believe. Tony shot his eyebrow up knowing Steve was hiding something but didn’t feel like getting into it before their mission. Instead Tony came around and latched Steve’s belt tighter. “It’s fine. I don’t care that much. Ready to go.” Steve shook his head yes. “Yeah, I just have to go tell Bucky something before we go okay.” Steve scurried away.
“Promise me you won’t lose this. It wasn’t easy to get.” Bucky rolled his eyes and placed the box in his sock drawer knowing no one would go in there anytime soon. “Yeah, yeah I got it. It will be here when you get back. Then you can have your happy ever after.” Steve clapped his hand on his buddy’s shoulder trying to comfort him. “You get yours’s one day Buck. Just talk to him.” Bucky looked away. Steve didn’t realized that it wasn’t that simple. “Hey, it’s time to go. Be careful punk.”
A few weeks later Tony and Steve found themselves fighting against the elements. It took them a while to just find the base with every five miles being check points. There was a lot of kicking Hydra ass which was fun for Tony but now he was tired, and the suit was heavy; most likely leaving bruises. “Hey, can we set up camp here. I could use a chance to stretch my legs without the suit on.” “I agreed babe. It’s getting late anyways.” Steve removed his cowl and laid down on the ground staring up at the stars. Tony did the same. He yawned, and was fast asleep in not time.
Steve’s mind ran rapidly with many thoughts of what happened in the last days. “Tony, are you asleep?” Tony murmured something sounding like a no, but Steve knew he was. “Do you ever wonder if this could be our last mission?” Tony sat up on his elbows looking over at Steve. “What do you mean?” Steve rolled over to the other side so not to see the look on Tony’s face of what he was about to say. “Once we go home, we could be just Steve and Tony instead of Iron Man and Captain America.” Steve held his breath when Tony didn’t say anything. Tony’s whole life revolved around being Iron Man. Him and the suits were one. But for Steve the identity of Captain America just brought more pain to his world. The only good thing that came out of it was being frozen so, he was able to meet the love of his life. So, he could find his real home.
Tony pulled Steve closer to him. He could now see the worry that was all over Steve’s face. Tony nodded his head yes. Steve finally exhaled the breath he was holding. “Yeah, I would like that. I want to find out who Tony and Steve are but Steve the world needs a Captain America.” Tony was right the world needed a Captain America. “Maybe Sam or Bucky would be able to take over the mantle. I will talk to them about it.” Tony kissed Steve goodnight, falling asleep on top of Steve’s chest.
Rhodey embraced Carol before she left. “Stay safe and be your badass self. I love you.” Carol place a kiss to the inside of his neck leading up to his jaw then stopping at his lips. “I will and I love you too.” Carol immerse in an orange glow and blasted off leaving Rhodey standing in the yard alone. Maybe he could get a message from Tony tonight even though he hasn’t heard anything for a while.
“This is supposed to be the hydra base. It’s a cave. What are we going to do find a Nazi bear inside?” Steve shushed Tony. They didn’t know what could have been on the other side of this. They easily could have been outnumbered. The two men slowly walked in seeing the cave was much more like a laboratory then a dusty old cave. Everywhere was weapons and experiments but oddly no men.
“It’s oddly quiet. Where is everyone?” Steve went over to the tables to see if he could figure out anything. Nothing helped. There were really old maps and outdated blueprints. What was Hydra up too? Then a siren went off. He whirled around to find Tony pulling a lever he shouldn’t have. “What are you doing?” “I thought there was going to be a secrete door.” Before Steve could say anything else. Hundreds of Hydra agents came running from all different directions. They fault and fault taking several agents out but then more just took their place. Steve tried calling on comms for back up, but they were block. “Tony, we are alone. I can’t get in touch with base.” Tony tried himself, but nothing was working. It was like everything was offline. They were stuck.
Sam and Bucky laid in the bed looking straight ahead not wanting to meet each other’s eyes. What had they just done they thought? It was just supposed to be a couple of drinks and then going to bed. Not finding themselves in bed together. “We will never speak of this.” Still not looking at each other. Sam nodded his head in agreement. “I agree. This was a mistake.” Bucky looked down pulling on a piece of thread. It wasn’t a mistake for him. He really liked Sam, but Sam only saw him as a friend. “I agree.” His voice shacked even though he didn’t agree.  Sam gathered his clothes and walked out leaving Bucky with a hole in his chest.

Goodbye for now
Awhile back on twitter I made a pretty vague post about making a decision and changing something soon. Well honestly I didn’t expect to be writing this so soon after that but the worst case scenario happened, so here I am. I’ve decided to step away from social media. Probably for a good while. This is a very word vomit post if you wanna keep going then sure but
TL;DR I’m not ok, I’m not sure how to be ok, and I need some time to try and figure it out
For those who don’t know, last summer I graduated from college with a degree in chemical engineering. Throughout high school and into college I was always told about what a great career field it was and how they’re needed basically everywhere and finding work would be no trouble. Based on my experience, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Over the past year, I have applied for well over one hundred positions, most of the time never hearing anything back (not even a rejection), and have only made it to an interview for three of them. Of course those numbers don’t matter, it’s the number of offers I’ve received. It only needs to be one, but it’s zero. Even with outside help I’ve come up with nothing. Family friends claiming they have a connection all wind up at a dead end. My college’s career center has stopped helping me. One recruiter stopped answering my messages. Another one I was pointed to never contacted at me all. Yet another straight up told me my resume didn’t stand out and that my internship experience wasn’t good enough. Despite having some of the best grades and accomplishments out of all my graduating class, I’m one of the only, and maybe THE only, that still has no career to show for it.
About a month ago, I was pointed to one company through some connections (at my grandfather’s visitation, no less). It didn’t seem all that exciting to me but not really having much of any other better options, I sent in an application, expecting it to go nowhere as usual. As it turns out, a couple weeks later I got to schedule a phone screen with the hiring manager. The call went extremely well. We talked for almost an hour about the position, my experience and education, and even just random stuff. At the end he was very enthusiastic about our conversation and went on and on about how impressive my resume was and how I would most likely be one of the final candidates selected for an interview. He also told me about a similar position he was also hiring for, so I applied for that after as well. Might as well improve the chances right? Although I had mixed thoughts for different reasons about either position, it felt amazing to actually feel wanted for once. It truly looked like the wait was over and I could start a new life. This afternoon I received a call from him telling me they would not be going further with me for either position. In fact they weren’t even gonna interview anyone. They selected people for the position already. He tried to tell me how awful he felt having to break the news to me and that he had no criticisms to give me regarding our previous conversation. All that tells me is that I really did do my absolute best at trying to sell myself, succeeded, and it STILL wasn’t good enough.
Given a number factors, I knew that this HAD to be the one. If I somehow managed to not make this work then I really stuck. I decided I’d go offline if it didn’t so I could attempt to focus more on getting this thing done. Well, it didn’t work, and now I’m stuck. I honestly have no idea where to go from here. All I can do is keep applying, and look where that’s got me. I’ve gotta figure this situation out and I have no idea how.
But the job stuff isn’t the only reason I’m leaving. To be quite honest I haven’t had the same amount of fun I used to online. I joined it to the level I have back in college when all the ChemE was super stressful. It was a great break from the all the difficult work and projects. It was so much more fun making random posts on tumblr, participating in YouTube projects with a bunch of people I was fans of and later became friends, and migrating more to twitter later on. I made so many lasting relationships with people and I really can’t those people enough for that. It made me truly happy. But this past year has been rough.
I’ve always made it a point to not go super into my personal life with pretty much anyone, and I plan on keeping it that way here, but even putting the job stuff aside, for nearly a year it’s been a struggle. And everything bad all just seemed to pile on at once. Lot of family issues, health issues, and my own mental state is as low as it’s ever been. I’m not diagnosed with anything but I’ve seriously considered maybe getting checked for something. Just having an explanation would be nice. Any self confidence I had disappeared. Some days I’m just not myself for no particular reason. And there’s issues I should’ve dealt with long ago but really didn’t do correctly. Maybe they can’t even be dealt with. Who knows? And twitter hasn’t helped that much. Even though it was a main source of happiness for awhile, it’s just made me more sad being on there this past year. But I didn’t want to be away from the friends I had so I stuck around. Trying to act like I was still having fun when really deep down a lot of it was fake. Maybe without it I can attempt on focusing on other things.
I’m sure a lot of this comes off as whiny. I know things could be worse. I know making this long drawn out post about going offline of all things is overdramatic. But I guess I feel like some explanation was owed to people. To my friends, I’m sorry this is sudden and didn’t tell anyone about it. I guess it’s just what I felt had to be done and didn’t want to risk getting talked out of it. I really appreciate you all and of course you’re welcome to reach me whenever outside of twitter. Thanks to you all and all my followers sticking around.
This isn’t a decision I made lightly. Maybe it’s not even the right solution. Maybe I’ll be back sooner than I think. But I gotta try to put more focus on getting my life together somehow. So I gotta try and start somewhere.

Zero SR vs Energica SS9: EV Race
Brandon and I recently drove down from Monterey to LA on business. He rode an Energica Esse Esse 9 while I rode my Zero SR. One of the main features of the Energica is the full support of level 3 CCS stations which can deliver a full charge to the bike in as little as 20 minutes. One of the goals of the trip was to visit as many CCS stations down Hwy 101 as we could and determine if it was possible to make the trip entirely utilizing CCS.
Meanwhile my Zero SR was equipped with 4 digiNow SuperChargers capable of delivering 13kW from the plentiful selection of level 2 stations available at every town and sometimes in between. This gave my Zero with a Power Tank a consistent 1 hour charge time if totally empty but required use of either dual J1772 stations or a single Tesla Destination station.
On Thursday we drove down and mostly explored what was available for CCS while meeting with friendly fellow riders and documenting stations. Late Thursday night we stayed with a friend in Hollywood and discussed the plans for the rest of the trip and reviewed footage taken earlier that day.
Tumblr media
The next day Brandon and I parted ways to take care of business but hatched the idea of a race back to Monterey on Saturday. I would be starting in Irvine and Brandon in Long Beach. Neither of us thought the other stood a chance, and we both proclaimed our own easy victories. Obviously I would win, I had consistent 11-13kW and a nearly infinite amount of stations. Brandon had powerful 23kW stations as long as he was in the greater LA area. Beyond that they grew fewer and fewer, sometimes only one per town, and in some cases the single one was offline. I fully expected him to be far ahead in the morning with me easily overtaking him when he was forced to subsyst on level 2 charging at 3.3kW. He, on the other hand, figured he would gain an insurmountable advantage early on and the times he would have to utilize level 2 would be inconsequential. We were both wrong.
The night before the race I mapped out my route via PlugShare. It should be noted that I had rode this route once before with Brandon about 15 months prior. He was my guide because he had ridden these roads constantly and knew every station along the way. I remembered a couple of his preferred stops, but not all of them. On his end, he was going on the information he'd learned on the trip down. He knew the roads but not the level 3 stations. I would also like to note that I was carrying all of the gear. This includes about 40lbs of 6awg wires and portable charging stations in the case on my bike because primadonna Brandon refused to sully the beautiful Energica with things like luggage or straps.
Tumblr media
Saturday morning I awoke shortly after 6am. My gracious host was already awake and playing Hearthstone on his PC but offered to cook breakfast for me, which I readily accepted, not knowing which charging stations were near any sort of amenities. I was also accutely aware of Brandon's inability to function before 8am and figured I would ensure my victory by starting early. By 7:15 I had said goodbye and was on the road. Please note the awesome matching Teslas of my host. Zero hidden in middle of shot.
Tumblr media
My first stop was a complete failure. I had planned out a reasonable office complex in Santa Monica that had a non-shared ChargePoint. I made great time, but one of the stations was taken by an EV car. As I plugged into the single station I quickly scanned Plugshare for alternatives. The Wells Fargo building nearby promised 8 J1772 stations, but I quickly discovered it was locked for the weekend, and also apparently under construction. I then wandered, seemingly aimlessly, for some time as my GPS on my aging iPhone 6 is spotty and unreliable. I eventually found myself in a paid parking lot at some sort of recording studio fussing with Tesla Destination chargers. They worked but shut off after ~4 minutes. I tweaked the settings on my chargers to skip the ramp procedure so I could just reset every 4 minutes and grab full power, but this grew tedious. A security guard wandered out after 20 minutes to investigate what I was doing, but wished me luck after I explained what I was doing. I found another potential spot for consistent charging and left having only gained about 25% battery and paying an astronomical $12 parking fee.
Tumblr media
Brandon was awake by this point. Not only awake, but also apparently playing in Malibu Canyon a mere mile or two from me.
Tumblr media
My next stop was perfect. It was a 4 story parking garage between Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys that promised 4 ChargePoint stations on the roof. As it was Saturday I figured it would be empty. I was right. Not only was it empty but it also had a shaded alcove with 3 benches where, presumably, employees took smoking breaks. I popped the drone out and took a little footage. I was able to get full power off 2 stations and completely top off having wasted over an hour getting lost in Santa Monica.
Tumblr media
At this point I made sure to share my location on my phone with Brandon. He had already done so for me so I felt it was fair that he should see what I was doing. Due to the inconsistency of my GPS this did make him paranoid as apparently my map location had a tendency to warp. My next stop was one I remembered from the previous trip, the Amtrak station in Carpenteria. This one was extremely important because I remembered 4 Chargepoint plugs, bathrooms, a mini mart, and a beachfront burger joint. I arrived at around 15% charge and discovered, much to my dismay, an EV car plugged into one of the stations. These were shared stations meaning each station has the capacity to deliver 6.6kW total between 2 plugs. In order to get full power I would need to be the only one at the 2 stations. This proved impossible so I plugged in 3 of my chargers into the 2 plugs and set myself to 3/4 charging capacity.
Tumblr media
I checked my map to discover I was actually ahead of Brandon but he was closing in fast. I thought he might watch his map and come say hi but instead just blew by on highway 1 at high speeds.
Tumblr media
Sadly my 3/4 charging speeds meant I would need over an hour, so I had a burger at the tiny beachfront joint. It was noon by this point. After I was done there it came time for one of the most enjoyable legs of the trip: Highway 154 to Chumash Casino. This is an absolutely gorgeous twisty road that climbs up and down the mountains and a must for anyone traveling the 101 on a bike. As it ends it spits you out at Chumash Casino which is jam packed with free level 2 charging stations. I plugged in, went inside the casino, and had some sort of asian steamed veggie bowl at the food court so I could feel good about patronizing the establishment. I don't have a photo of this because I was trying to do a facebook livestream but apparently the signal in the garage is insufficient. Refreshed and full of bok choy, I resumed my trek north.
My next stop was the Lowe's parking lot in Santa Maria. I had scouted this out on PlugShare and knew it was a goldmine. 10+ free J stations? Heck yeah. I used to live near another Lowe's that had a similar setup so I was certain this was a good choice. It was. I parked, plugged in, and checked my map. Brandon was a mere 0.3 miles away at the CCS station at a BMW dealership. It was at this point my brother texted us and said he had made a ton of cheeseburgers on the grill and we should hurry home to eat them. I found out later Brandon had not eaten all day and was basically drooling in his helmet the next few hours thinking about burgers. I sat down behind a shaded wall in the parking lot and uploaded the following picture to FaceBook:
Tumblr media
This generated a buzz because Brandon was posting about his progress and people realized we were damn close. This, to me, indicated some theatrics were in order. I noted that my batteries were quite warm at 120F, and Zero's safety measures shut them off around 136F. However, the cautious way I was riding meant my batteries cooled down as I rode and warmed up as I SuperCharged. I knew this, and I knew how to keep them from overheating. But I posted like I was concerned about this to generate a little drama. Obviously I was going to win at this point. Brandon was a couple hundred yards away and running out of CCS stations. What chance did he have? In fact, his very last CCS station was next and it only gave 17kW. I topped off, packed up, and headed to Paso Robles.
Tumblr media
Because I was so confident in my imminent victory I decided to delay posting of my photos until I was done and packing up rather than having just arrived. I had planned to use a high-power Tesla Destination charger in Paso Robles, but some inconsiderate Tesla owner, no doubt a paying guest of the hotel, was using it instead. Disgusted, I backtracked to the South edge of town and the promise of 4 open ChargePoint stations. There I encountered 2 homeless men keeping out of the sun thanks to a large tree on the south edge of the parking lot. I asked if I could share their shade and struck up a conversation. It was a father, Jim, and his adult son who had fallen on hard times, had been living in a shelter in San Luis Obispo, but took the train up to Paso to visit mom for Mother's Day. We chatted and he charged his phone off my bike. As we talked I checked my map and realized Brandon was literally about to pass by within 50 feet.
"Wait for it," I said to my new friend Jim. About 10 seconds later the banshee wail of the Energica could be detected. Brandon breezed through town, looked right, and gave a friendly wave and beep while heading to his CCS station. Jim was over the moon with newfound excitement. I hope he gets back on his feet.
Despite pulling ~12kW from the 2 ChargePoints, Brandon was fully topped off and heading North before I was even done. This is where it truly got interesting. North of Paso the headwinds kick in STRONG and there was literally no more CCS for Brandon. I planned to stop at a place called The Mill at 43 Olive Ranch which has several Tesla Destination chargers and a Clipper Creek J1772. The final stop would be King City which had a single Chargepoint station. Brandon would have to stop at The Mill to top off before King City, and it was basically all over for him at that point.
I pulled into The Mill to find it totally empty. No Brandon. Turned out he found a nice, fat truck to draft behind and, AGAINST ALL ODDS, made it from Paso to King City in 30mph headwinds on a naked sportbike. Hell, it killed half my battery to get to The Mill a mere 30 miles away. Tiny voices of doubt started to make themselves known. But surely he could only charge at a paltry 3.3kW in King City, right? I was drawing 12kW and could draw 6.6kW once I hit King City which was double his rate.
Tumblr media
I cautiously drove to King City. As Brandon pointed out in one of his posts during all of this, the Zero batteries were never meant for this sort of duty. They are meant to be bulletproof. The cells are encased in a flame-retardant epoxy. This keeps them super safe but makes cooling them a bit of a challenge. Running air, water, or ice along the outside does not appreciably lower the temperature of the cells deep in the middle of the pack. They have to naturally dissappate heat. I'm aware of this so I almost never went above 70mph to allow my pack to deal with the constant stress of lugging me and all of Brandon's 6awg charging cables. My batteries never went above 124F which is, as I posted on FaceBook, where stuff gets REALLY fun. The hotter the battery the less resistance there is and in Brandon's bastardized phrasing, more opportunities for 'dank whoolies'.
Tumblr media
I arrived in King City. This was our first stop a mere couple days before. We were both around 30% if memory served but I was charging at twice his speed at this point. This was where the biggest decision was made. Brandon assumed he had it in the bag at this point, because the road ahead was Carmel Valley G16, an incredibly twisty difficult path. I have driven this road. I've driven it in both daytime and nighttime. It is completely acceptable in daytime. Welcome, in fact.  In nighttime is is full of families of wild boar crossing the road in packs and moths that suicide into your visor and render it inoperable. No thanks. I opted to stay on Highway 101 to Salinas and deviate to Highway 68 from there. Brandon's smirk shriveled when I told him this. "But.. the twisties are where I have an advantage!" he bemoaned
"I know," I said, "I'm not a complete idiot."
Tumblr media
To pass the time we headed to the local diner and consumed our pre-battle milkshakes while Rampage played on the TV
Tumblr media
As my Zero SR finished charging, Brandon was only at 74%. He insisted I couldn't leave before him, and some other words I couldn't hear from my helmet as I left before him. I drove to Salinas VERY, very carefully. The headwinds were very strong and constant. I probably never went above 60mph. Up ahead were milestones I knew from months of commuting and were also the most harrowing parts of the journey. I *knew* that at the turnoff I was headed towards I would need 15% battery under normal riding conditions. I reached the turnoff at 14%. I *knew* that it would take me 7% battery to climb Los Laureles Grade to get to the EV station on the other side. I reached the grade at a low 7% and drove it at 30mph, waving any car past me. At the peak of the grade I was casually climbing at 25mph and wondered what would happen if I twisted the throttle all the way. Nothing happened, actually. I crested the peak at 2% and was horrified to remember that regenerative braking doesn't work when you're that low. I coasted all the way down to the EV stations at 2% and found all parking spots were full. Just about to give up I realized only 2 out of 3 cars were actually charging, and the 6.6kW Clipper Creek was open. Carefully I wedged my Zero between the cars without touching them and, with about an inch to spare, plugged into the station for some sweet sweet sip.
I checked my map and Brandon was lost in the deep, dark, receptionless land of Carmel Valley. I *knew* I needed at least 10% from that particular EV station to the finish line, so I opted to charge to 11% and pack up. I checked my phone again and Brandon popped into view less than a mile away. Aw, crap. I hastily packed up my EV cord and avoided hitting the charging Teslas as the unmistakable motor in the Energica passed me. Single lane road. No way to catch and pass him. Double crap. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how we finished within mere minutes of each other. He arrived at 2% battery; I arrived at 1%.
Final thoughts:
I was really pushing the Zero to its limits. Brandon was regularly dumping ridiculous amounts of power both to and from the battery. As long as Zero motorcycles have the 1C limitation on charging they won't be aimed towards any sort of touring. Or, to put it another way, if you plan a day trip that has more than 2 full charge stops, the Zero is probably not the right choice. But this was NEVER what the bike was intended for. I'm literally trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. The Energica battery, on the other hand, is more suited to dissipating heat as Brandon was not only charging at 2C or more, but as he admitted later he was often driving well above the posted speed limit*.
*allegedly
If you are in an area with plentiful level 3 CCS charging, an Energica is an incredibly viable choice for not only a daily commuter, but also for a killer weekend twisty beast. Personally I think we should embrace both. What do you guys think?
Also for real neither side is paying me for this write-up. Both Brandon and I agreed we'd like to do more of these races in the future. If you'd like to get in on this with your electric motorcycle please drop us a line. The more the merrier.

D.Va Online
Tumblr media
Member: Jungkook
Summary: Jungkook seems to develop a small crush on the girl who plays behind D.Va on Overwatch
Genre: Humor, fluff and Jungkook being a weeb lord.
Word Count: 1.2k
A/N: I don’t really play overwatch that much so excuse any of the mistakes I have made and if you play Overwatch don’t kill me..I have dogs to take care of.
If anyone had a walked by Jungkook’s room around night time they would probably think that he was watching some type of hentai (You know the kind where the girl was tied down with tentacles) but he was really groaning and moaning at his game of Overwatch. Upon the sixteen inch laptop screen was McCree and Winston beating the shit out of him as Reaper,”Mother fucker, are you kidding me!”
His team members on the other side of his headset snickered as he was knocked down for the eighth time this match. He had been playing for a couple of hours but it seemed like he was playing for years. Any time the payload came along he ended up being at the ass end of the team. “Man, you would think that you would be good at it considering you are gold rank and at level two hundred and fifty-two.”, Y/N giggled as she watched Jungkook get shot again. Never in all of his days playing overwatch would Jungkook meet someone as good as her even though she was a D.Va main. The game finally came to an end as she shot down the last bot and player with one final headshot. The sound of D.Va’s GG rang through all the players’ headsets. As everyone slowly logged off of the game for the night leaving only two people in the group chat..Jungkook and Y/N.
He didn’t know if it was the fact that he had his ass beat a girl who played as D.Va (which, he happened to have wet dreams about...talk about his own personal hentai..). Jungkook cleared his throat and cracked his knuckles,”You..uhh..did really good tonight.” His face heated up with embarrassment at his weak ass attempt of small talk with the girl on the other side of the screen. She mumbled a small thank you and sat quietly at the other end thinking of something to say as an apology for degrading and crushing his gaming pride in a chat of five other people and themselves.
“I’m sorry for being a little shit head during the game….I just always act like that when I feel nervous and when I like people.” she quickly covered her mouth as her weird confession had came out. It was embarrassing for her to even have a crush on him because she has never actually met him; she only knew his voice. The first time Y/N played Overwatch with Jungkook was a year ago and it was on her break from classes. She could remember the sound of when she first heard his voice. He sounded like he had honey for vocal cords and ever since then she couldn’t get his voice out of her head. She always wanted to know what the guy on the other side of the screen looked like and what it would be like if he had said her name.
As Y/N sat there having a complete and utter melt down at her confession to Jungkook, he sat on the other side of the screen blushing and screaming mentally. It was like all his weird little fantasies of her in his dreams came true. For some reason, he had always imagined that the girl would look like D.Va and he couldn’t hide the fact that he would have weird boner at the thought of that. Jungkook couldn’t deny that he didn’t not have feelings for the girl on the side of the screen. His crush only started because she was good at gaming and her voice was velvety and sweet.
If the stale silence didn’t make it tense, it was was when a friend of Jungkook’s came into the room screaming about him leaving his overwatch hentai magazine in the bathroom with an oddly large bottle of baby lotion. “Hyung! You can’t just come here shouting that type of shit. Now you made me miss my chance with G/N.” Y/N quietly listened into the Jungkook’s accidental confession and his weird obsession with hentai, trying not to laugh as she covered her mouth. “Well, you shouldn’t be such a horny little weeb and bring your crap out of the bathroom and jerk off in your own damn bedroom, brat.” His friend laughed as he continued to expose and make the younger boy squirm and blush in embarrassment. “Jimin….” he grumbled under his breath, forgetting the fact his mic was still on.
The sound of a beep brought his attention back to his computer screen. G/N has logged off. He groaned loudly and turned off his computer with whine, looking at his friend with eyes that said ‘you are an ass..go to hell’ His chance to finally get to know you had gone to waste thanks to his friend coming in and exposing him for what he did in his free time and what he liked. As he got up from his gaming chair the small boy at the doorway took that as his invitation to vacate the room and leave his weeaboo friend to wallow in his self pity.
As he laid there with his eyes closed and in silence his phone rang with a notification. He quickly opened his eyes and grab his phone with a lighting speed reflex. Jungkook kissed his phone and thanked the gods as he saw your gamer name on the screen. You had messaged him on his mobile Steam app.
To JK1997
Sorry if I logged off without telling you I was leaving. I didn't want to interrupt your conversation with your friend.....Your hentai porn secret is safe with me too ;).
From: G/N
He felt his cheeks heat up and his hands get clammy as he tried to think of a response to say to her. He had never felt this nervous except for when he got in trouble at school for pushing a kid when he was younger...but in his defense that kid was being a real asshole to this girl he had crush on back then.
To G/N:
He was lying I promise! ;-; Watching hentai is weird pfft. That’s for like weeaboos who beat their meat to D.Va and Widowmaker….I would never do that type of crap.
From: JK1997
As his message got to Y/N, she laughed at his shit excuse and cover up. She decided against bringing it up more and to let the poor weeb live his life in peace. She carefully typed in her phone number and told him to text her in the morning. When Jungkook had got that message he felt his soul leave his body.
“She gave me her number…” he was practically crying as he put her number into his contacts. His only problem at this point was that he didn’t know what her name was or what to even call her. After long thinking (less than a minute) he put her name as future wifey. He looked down at his phone went back to message her on steam. G/N offline. Again he was too slow to message you back but then he felt his heart welter with hope because he had your actual phone number. Thousands of thoughts went through his head making him almost bust a nut. It’s not that he was thinking dirty about you it was that he was finally going to make a move on the girl with a velvety soft voice who has played as D.Va in every game he was in with her and that made him think luck was really looking up for him.

AN: God bless y’all, look what’s finally back!!!
You woke up with your legs tangled around Steve’s in bed with the sheets draping over the two of you. The sun had just risen over the ocean covered horizon and was coming through the windows of your room. You tried to move but felt yourself trapped in the arms of Steve. You let yourself get comfortable again against the bed and in his arms and felt like you could drift back to sleep until your stomach growled at you. You went to gently lift up his arm but instead got his grip to tighten as his arms drew you closer into his chest.
“Where are you going,” he mumbled into your hair.
“I’m starving,” you giggled. “I need food.” He tried to press you closer and his movements made his stomach wake up and howl at him. “It sounds like you’re hungry too, Captain.”
He refused to open his eyes, “I’d rather stay like this.”
“Then you stay like it,” you kissed the tip of his nose and forced yourself out of his arms. “I’ll bring you food.” You went to the kitchen and whipped together a couple omelettes and smoothies with the fresh fruit you had gotten while out with Steve yesterday. As you carried the two plates and willed the two drinks to levitate in front of you, you looked down at the ring on your finger. Five days had passed since your engagement and you still looked at the ring like it was something you had never seen; you never got tired of looking at it.
When you walked back into your bedroom you saw the bed void of your fiance. Instead he stood at the railing of the deck just outside of your room with his grey sweatpants lazily hanging from his hips. “Hey hot stuff,” you whistled and set everything out on the deck table. The two of you ate and listened to the waves crash against the shore, enjoying the calming silence and each other’s company.
“When do you want to have the wedding,” he scooted you into his lap.
“I don’t know. What do you think?”
“Maybe the fall? Or winter? I looked good in darker colors,” he smirked.
“That you do.” The two were brought out of your heads when you head your cell phone starting to ring. Both of your heads perked up and looked towards the room.
“Should you get that?”
“No,” you leaned back against him. “I’m sure it’s just Nat or Tony calling trying to be nosy and see what’s going on here.” The ringing stopped after a minute and you two went back to feeling the sun and listening to the waves. Not even half a minute had passed when Steve’s phone started going off next. Tony’s ringtone echoed from the empty house.
Steve scooted you off and groaned as he got up. “Don’t answer it,” you pleaded.
“I’m just making sure it’s nothing important. If he’s just being nosy I’ll hang up.” You watched him walk away and laid back against the couch. You honed your hearing in on him. waiting to hear him tell Tony to mind his own business. Instead you heard him ask what was wrong.
“What’s wrong? What’s going on?....This needs to be done right now?...How many are missing?....Ok, I’ll talk to her….It’s ok.” You propped yourself up onto your forearms and watched him walk back out.
“What’s wrong?”
“It was Tony. Fury asked him to call us back. A group of senior agents have gone missing and he wants us back to base as soon as possible for a briefing and to send us out.”
“How long have they been missing?”
“He didn’t say but he sounded serious. We need to get back, Y/N.” You stood up and wrapped your arms around him.
“Let’s start packing,” you two stood there for a minute savering the last moments of peace before going back to the life of a hero. Eventually you let go of him and went in to back.
******
You landed and stepped back onto base. The sounds of everyone busy training and running around the compound made you strangely feel at home. “Y/N. Steve,” Fury met you at the base of the jet and walked with you hastily to the tall building. “Hope you had a nice vacation.”
“We did,” you told him.
“I can see that,” you saw him looking at your ring finger. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you,” you both said. The three of you quickly went to the large briefing room and found Tony and Natasha already sitting and waiting.
“Hope you got enough relaxation to get you through the rest of your life,” Tony stood up and gave you a hug and Steve a hand shake. Nat hugged you both before you all sat down at the large table.
“Nice rock you’ve got there,” Nat smiled.
You smiled at your new fiance, “He did good.”
“Alright lovebirds, listen up,” Fury captured the rooms attention. He pulled up an aerial map of a country that they had tracked a terrorist organization to. “We got intel that the terrorist organization we’ve been tracking and disassembling had their base here,” the map zoomed in on what appeared to be a small and empty village.
“Doesn’t look like a strong base,” you commented.
“That’s because it’s underground. We found the entrance and sent out 8 of our best men for recall. We watched a large wave of them roll 3 days ago. By our numbers there were 20 individuals left in the base. Our men were confident they could get the job done. They went in that night for a surprise attack. We lost communication with them 2 minutes into their infiltration of the base.”
“Any word or intel on them since,” Steve asked? Fury shook his head. “What’s the plan then?”
“We need one of our highest agents to scout the area. We need someone to follow information we get so we can find out how to corner these people. And, when the time comes, attack and bring this organization down.”
You sat up and folded your hands on the table, “We’ll go as soon as you need us to.”
“Actually,” Fury looked at Tony and Nat. “Tony can’t go because of the suit. Something like that will easily stand out and we need the element of complete surprise. Plus, we’re worried that they have a signal blocker. We lost contact with our men and we don’t want to have the possibility that the suit drops offline and stops working. Romanoff will have eyes looking for her at any airport, flight zone, any place she might be able to get into the country. These people know what they are doing and if we send her they’ll be onto us and moving their base before we know it.”
“So just send us,” Steve commented.
“Because of the nature of this recall,” Fury said sensitively, “we are only sending one agent. We can’t afford to lose more agents and we can’t afford to be made, so we need this to be all stealth.”
“I’ll go,” you and Steve both said at the same time and looked over at each other.
“On top of everything we have new recruits starting that we could really use you here for, Y/N. I’ll leave you two to discuss it but I need an answer and someone on a plane by tonight.” The three of them left you and Steve in the room and you turned your chair to face him as the door closed. “Steve-”
Steve was up out of his chair and walked to the head of the table before leaning down, “Y/N, this is going to be extremely dangerous. You heard Fury.”
“Exactly. I heard him. We lost 8 of our best without a trace. If it’s that dangerous then, Steve, I should go. I’m a walking powerhouse.”
“I’m a walking supersoldier. I’ve survived decades under ice and I’ve found aliens. I can do this.”
“And so can I,” you rose your voice. “I have been doing this for hundreds of years. This could get you killed, let me do it.”
“This could get you killed. Don’t give me that look,” he commented when you tilted your head at him and made a face. “You died, Y/N. Last major mission like this that we had you died.”
“I came back!”
“That time! You came back that time. We don’t know that it will happen again if you go to far again. I’m not risking you going over there and wasting yourself away.”
“I’m not risking you going over there and getting taken or worse.”
“You need to stay back and train the new recruits Fury has for you.” By his voice you knew what he was going to say.
“Steve-”
“I’m taking the spot, Y/N. I’m telling Fury that I’m take the job.”
“Steve, don’t do this. It’s a suicide mission.”
“You’re needed here. I’m going,” he said sternly. “I’ll be fine.”
“Steve,” you were so angry you nearly shook as he walked towards the door. “We are not done talking about this. Do not walk out that door.” The lights in the room grew brighter and brighter and hummed like they were about to explode.
He looked back at you with a sad but determined look. “I have to suit up and pack. I’ve only got a few hours before the jet leave.” He looked away from you and walked out of the door, leaving you alone in the conference room. You clenched your fists so tight that you could feel your nails cutting into your skin. Your body was shaking from anger at your fiances stupidity and you could feel your power raging in you like a hurricane, they were testing your strength and trying to let themselves loose. Knowing that things could get extremely ugly very quickly you forced yourself to sit down and buried your head in your hands as you took a few deep breaths.
“Director General?” Your head shot up and you looked at the assistant that stood in front of you. “Sorry to interrupt.”
“You’re ok.”
“Mr. Stark and Director Fury asked me to give you these.” He passed you a few thick files. “These are all the information on the new recruits starting tomorrow morning. Mr. Stark asked that you go to him with a list of any and everything that you anticipate needing for training for the next two weeks.”
“Thank you.” You cracked open the first file and started reading.
******
You left Tony with a list of supplies, weapons, and rooms that you needed booked and walked out of the building. You had gone through all the new recruit information and braced yourself for the challenges that would start tomorrow. You decided to walk through the airfield on your to your home but the glimpse of a navy suit caught your attention. Steve was helping load bags onto the jet and you walked towards him.
“Steve?” He looked back to you and you saw his duffle bag in his hands. “Packing up already?”
“I, ugh, was going to go find you in a second. The departure time got moved up.”
“To?”
“We’re leaving as soon as everything is on board and as soon as I said goodbye to you.”
“That’s it? You were going to give me a quick goodbye and head off.”
“I take it you’re still upset about me taking this.” You glanced down at your feet before meeting his glance. “Y/N, it’s my job. I can do this.” He leaned forward and gave you a kiss goodbye. “I’ll see you when I get back, ok?”
“Any word on when that will be?”
“Fury thinks 10 to 14 days.” You nodded slowly. “Hey, while I’m gone why don’t you pick a date?”
“The date of the wedding is usually something a couple picks together, Steve.”
The co-pilot, who was acting as the other agent going with Steve, told Steve they were ready and he gave you a sad look. “ I don’t care what day it is. As long as you and I get married, any day will work for me.”
“Just because that was sweet, doesn’t mean I’m not still mad at you, Rogers. You’re going to hear an earful when you get back.”
“I look forward to it.”

Visions of the future past out in the ether …
MDA:20009 DIGITAL COMMUNITIES
Week 10: Playing the Crowd
In socially populated online gaming worlds, where overlapping rule sets, both strange and familiar are agreed to contractually and negotiated evolutionally, it is no surprise to find the attractions of escapism, accelerated ideal self-expression and intersection of political goals and societal communion (de Zwart & Humphreys 2014).
Out amongst the ethereal interstellar particles of hydrogen and helium that make up deep space, the MMORG (massive online roleplay game) of EVE, is combining all these attractions with the tiers of Maslow’s (1943) hierarchy of needs along its historical narrative thread, to see how humans react to contexts of what would seem to be the opposite of first world laws and governments (de Zwart & Humphreys 2014, p.78, Piech 2016).
Current percentage of gamers will be shipshape ready for interstellar war if and when it is declared thanks to the huge platforms of online gaming that involve conflict and military strategies, brutality and hegemony, elitism and bigotry that will shape the ‘Goffman frame’ of their social mores in a galaxy far far away where lack of a moral compass or sense of humanity may be deemed an asset, not a crime (de Zwart & Humphries 2014)
Away from the passivity of watching networked texts in a broadcast form, digitally networked nationstates are forming and storming and deciding who to cast their votes and video modes of affinity with, via their heavily invested online actions, environmental controls and intensive iterations of war and peace, crime and punishment and digitally networked socionomics (Taylor 1997).
THOUSANDS of Eve Online players just got SCREWED OVER by ONE GUY!  (Pretty Good Gaming, Published on Sep 15, 2017)
youtube
Sounds like Trump and the Nth/Sth Korea dynamic …
However, we don’t have to prostitute the fear factor of stranger danger and ‘others’ trauma online, to bulldoze policy, codes of practice and create a reactionary result of deeply centralized government controls with unprecedented power and no courts’ supervision back out into our offline communities (The Guardian 2017).
The high adrenalin addictive nature of affordance in some games is not the social norm for all and the crowdsourced networked communities of more listening and learning games can provide meta data for advocative socially inspiring activist and artistic causes (Taylor 1997, p.174).
Its largely a matter of choice about which platforms of social gaming make your heart sing, whether it be a kickstarter game that calls for strategies that include both cruelty and sympathy or a Biogame, that harvests the networked pattern recognition of players to identify pathology strains!
youtube
http://biogames.ee.ucla.edu/
You could explore the great affinity online peeps have for cats and put your allegiance in the way of the HK Project, a truly cosmopolitan platform for aesthetics that do not include hegemony but instead encompass and welcome respect and diversity.
youtube
“ Although the team has worked hard so far on HK, it's still pretty early in its development cycle. The developer doesn't expect a release for several more years, especially considering that the team only consists of two humans and two cats (the blog also admits that the cat in charge of communication isn't doing its job very well).”
Tumblr media
You could just as easily combine ground breaking codes of practice and aesthetic engagement by immersing yourself in a platform by one of your favourite media stars …
At the end of 1999, the singer also became involved in video games, when he appeared in Quantic Dream's Omikron.  He played a character named Boz, a hunted revolutionary.  "It was relatively unprecedented to have such a big star embody a character within a game and not just appear as a thinly veiled version of themselves," says Thomas McMullan, a tech journalist at Alphr who played Omikron as a teenager.  "And Bowie engaged to a level that went beyond just lending his face. He worked on it from a musical point-of-view as well.  A bit that really sticks in my memory is a secret concert that you could discover if you uncovered some clues, and it showed you a clip of him playing in a fictional band. It felt like sneaking into an underground concert."

One of the most powerful aspects of online gaming is the ability to self-express and experiment the many facets that we may be too ‘gun shy’ to take out in our offline publics for whatever reason.
Many gamers play and are played by expressions of a fluid self that Nathan Jurgenson claims is the norm for social interactions in a world where an ephemeral death can be replaced with a Goffman like reframed silhouette of ideals and aesthetics (de Zwarth & Humphries 2014).
youtube
While Omikron: The Nomad Soul is Bowie's most direct interaction with the gaming industry, his influence on creators and players alike is impossible to miss.
The most obvious evidence of Bowie's influence comes from Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series. First came numerous references to "Major Tom" in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, referencing Bowie's "Space Oddity" and "Ashes to Ashes". According to the Metal Gear Wiki, both songs were considered for ending songs for the game, only to be replaced as the game's space themes became less pronounced during development.
Then there's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a game featuring the private military company Diamond Dogs, a name derived partially from the Bowie album of the same name. Indeed the game opens with a cover of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold The World" by Midge Ure.

And let's not forget this image, which made the rounds a couple of years back

So, in our digitally networked communities of online games that have remained one of the few platforms (apart from porn, ironically) that have hung on and ridden the roller coaster of internet economics and socionomics, don’t let the hours spent engaged as a digital layer of yourself endanger or harm the offline layers of your person or others (Castronova 2004, p. 173).
Ask yourself, will it harm or will it help this one life I have to live – until the next one? …..

However, TenFourFox can't run on Intel processors, which is what you have. But, you CAN update the OS X system.

Back when Ars Senior Products Editor Andrew Cunningham was forced to work in Mac OS 9 by his colleagues in September 2014, he quickly hit a productivity wall. He couldn't log in to his Ars e-mail or do much of anything online, which meant—as someone who writes about new technology for an online-only publication—he couldn't do his work. All Cunningham could do was play old games and marvel at the difference 15 years makes in operating system design.
Tumblr media
But as hard as it may be to believe in light of yet another OS X macOS update, there are some who still use Apple's long-abandoned system. OS 9 diehards may hold on due to one important task they just can't replicate on a newer computer, or perhaps they simply prefer it as a daily driver. It only takes a quick trip to the world of subreddits and Facebook groups to verify these users exist.
Certain that they can't all be maniacs, I went searching for these people. I trawled forums and asked around, and I even spent more time with my own classic Macs. And to my surprise, I found that most of the people who cling staunchly to Mac OS 9 (or earlier) as a key component of their daily—or at least regular—workflow actually have good reason for doing so.
Best Browser For Mac
Why? Whhhhyyyyyy???
The reasons some Mac lovers stick with OS 9 are practically as numerous as Apple operating systems themselves. There are some OS 9 subscribers who hold out for cost reasons. Computers are prohibitively expensive where they live, and these people would also need to spend thousands on new software licenses and updated hardware (on top of the cost of a new Mac). But many more speak of a genuine preference for OS 9. These users stick around purely because they can and because they think classic Mac OS offers a more pleasant experience than OS X. Creatives in particular speak about some of OS 9's biggest technical shortcomings in favorable terms. They aren't in love with the way one app crashing would bring down an entire system, but rather the design elements that can unfortunately lead to that scenario often better suit creative work.
I'm alluding here specifically to the way OS 9 handles multitasking. Starting at System 5, classic Mac OS used cooperative multitasking, which differs from the preemptive multitasking of modern Windows and OS X and Linux. With classic Mac OS multitasking, when you want to change apps it's up to the active program to relinquish control. This focuses the CPU on just one or two things, which means it's terrible for today's typical litany of active processes. As I write this sentence I have 16 apps open on my iMac, some of which are running multiple processes and threads, and that's in addition to background syncing on four cloud services.
By only allowing a couple of active programs, classic Mac OS streamlines your workflow to closer resemble the way people think (until endless notifications and frequent app switching cause our brains to rewire). In this sense, OS 9 is a kind of middle ground between modern distraction-heavy computing and going analog with pen and paper or typewriter.
These justifications represent just a few large Mac OS 9 user archetypes. What follows is the testimony of several classic Mac holdouts on how and why they—along with hundreds, perhaps thousands of people around the world—continue to burn the candle for the classic Macintosh operating system. And given some of the community-led developments this devotion has inspired, OS 9 might just tempt a few more would-be users back from the future.
Programmatic hangers-on
Remembering how the comments on Cunningham's article were littered with stories of people who still make (or made, until only a short time beforehand) regular use of OS 9 for getting things done, I first posed the question on the Ars forums. Who regularly uses Mac OS 9 or earlier for work purposes? Reader Kefkafloyd said it's been rare among his customers over the past several years, but a few of them keep an OS 9 machine around because they need it for various bits of aging prepress software. Old versions of the better-known programs of this sort—Quark, PageMaker, FrameMaker—usually run in OS X's Classic mode (which itself was removed after 10.4 Tiger), though, so that slims down the pack of OS 9 holdouts in the publishing business even further.
Wudbaer's story of his workplace's dedication to an even older Mac OS version suggests there could be more classic Mac holdouts around the world than even the OS 9ers. These users are incentivized to stick with a preferred OS as long as possible so they can use an obscure but expensive program that's useful enough (to them) to justify the effort. In Wudbaer's case, it's the very specific needs of custom DNA synthesis standing in the way of an upgrade.
'The geniuses who wrote the software we have to use to interface the machines with our lab management software used a network library that only supports 16-bit machines,' he wrote. This means Wudbaer and colleagues need to control certain DNA synthesizers in the lab with a 68k Mac via the 30-year-old LocalTalk technology. The last 68k Macintosh models, the Performa 580CD and the PowerBook 190, were introduced in mid-1995. (They ran System 7.5.)
This DNA synthesis lab has two LC III Macs and one Quadra 950 running continuously—24 hours a day, seven days a week—plus lots of spare parts and a few standby machines that are ready to go as and when needed. The synthesizers cost around 30,000-40,000 Euros each back in 2002 (equivalent to roughly $35-50k in 2015 terms), so they want to get their money's worth. The lab also has newer DNA synthesizers that interface with newer computers and can chemically generate many more oligonucleotides (short synthetic DNA molecules) at once. This higher throughput comes with a tradeoff, however. Whereas the old synthesizers can synthesize oligonucleotides independently of each other (thereby allowing easy modifications and additional couplings), the new ones do them all in one bulk parallel process, meaning the extra stuff has to wait until afterward. More work means more time, and as Wudbaer says, 'time is money.'

Let us start to see iBoot Windows from the beginning. Yes, iBoot Windows is the leading software app with Windows PC users. Os x simulator for windows. Microsoft cooperation is the producer of Windows operating system to the globe with a very large number of functionalities. If you need to go through this smart app, we are going to talk about the iBoot Windows from this content. Hence, if you wish to use other Operating Systems such as Mac OS systems in your Windows PCs as your virtual machine, iBoot Windows most utility app to do that very easily.
On the Facebook group Mac OS 9 - it's still alive!, people trade more of these OS 9 endurance stories. Some prefer it for writing environment. Others keep it around for bits and pieces of work that require expensive software such as Adobe's creative suite or a CAD package or Pro Tools or specifically to open old files created with this software. Most use it for old Mac games, of which there are far more than the Mac's game-shy reputation would suggest—but that's a story for another day. A scant, brave few not only struggle through OS 9 for these sorts of offline tasks, but they also rely on it as a Web browsing platform.

The Tale of Mad John
Here is the tale of Mad John as tweeted from @ISawTheLastTree
Tumblr media
I have seen the last tree. The last tree on Earth.
Doesn’t matter how. You’d call me “Mad John” like the rest of them do if I told you. You wouldn’t listen.
But you need to listen. Chances are you won’t believe even if you do listen. A year ago I wouldn’t have believed me either. I would have said I was mad too.
But some of you will understand. Some of you will believe.
And then maybe, just maybe, one of you believers… well, maybe you can help me. Maybe you can help us all.
So who am I and why should you care? Who is this “Mad John” who says he has seen the last tree and the people who cower in its shadow?
I can’t tell you too much. I’m sure she’s watching. I’m sure if I give away too much, she’ll snap her fingers and I’ll vanish. Again.
You see, I don’t think I’ve escaped. Not really. I think I’m an experiment. One of her little experiments. What will Mad John do if I let him run around The City?
Well I’ll show her. I’ll show YOU, if you’re reading this. I’ll show you what I’ll do.
I worked at a the powerstation. Before it blew, that is. Man, what a day that was. The night sky was lit up like noon. My ears rang from the noise for days after.
After that we were all out of work. Not that it mattered. It was chaos. Of course, I went on a bender. Lost three days in the end. Complete blackout.
Can you blame me?
Sorry for going dark yesterday guys, I’m really trying but it’s hard to get online. Things are really chaotic out here.
Signal still shit. I hope she upgrades the wifi. At least some good will come out of all of this if she does.
Anyway, like I said, I black out for three days, with a little help from the booze. That’s when it happened.
It was just like a story. Strange alleyway. Electricty in the air. I staggered down the Alley. Could barely see at this point!
And then… nothing but the sun, wind and dust.
One minute, I was staggering down the Alley with a can in my hand. The next, I was in a desert. No City. No people.
I was freaked out, I can tell you. Thought I’d finally drunk myself mad.
There was just… nothing. The air even tasted dead. Hard to breath, like a close room with no windows on a hot day.
The sky was grey even though there were no clouds.
I think I would have died if I’d stayed there long. But I didn’t. I came back to warn you all.
You see why they call me “Mad John” now? No? Well, keep listening. You’ll get there.
Because I saw it. There, in the desert. Standing alone in nothingness. I saw the last tree.
I realize there is no way for anyone to believe me with absolute certainty so I hope I’m at least entertaining.
Well, that’s not quite true. I do have evidence. I’m afraid though. Afraid that she wont let me share it.
Been having a hard time since I came back, what with the Mad John thing and all. Sleeping on a bench in Town Centre.
So there it stood. Gnarled and ancient. Even from far away I could see it was a tree.
There was nothing else. Nothing else at all. So I headed towards it.
It was tall and kinda beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. A few leaves, yellow-green. Bark like sun-weathered stone.
Barely alive, but alive. Still alive. A bit like me, really. Maybe she’ll get the tree, too, after she gets me.
She is still listening. Still watching.
And I think she sees you, too.
There were people there, I wasn’t alone. They were strange but they were people. They had a weird little community going on.
They all wake up and greet the sun in the morning, taking their daily drink from a barrel at the foot of the tree.
Priestesses seemed to run the show, handing out water and scraps of what looked like dried mushroom to the crowd.
It was the High Priestess who told me the story.
But she spoke of it like it had happened centuries ago.
She told me how everything had died, all the plants and animals. How the air had gone bad.
She told me how the tree she worshiped was the last tree. The last tree on Earth.
So I’ve just been talking to my mate and he’s telling me about this “Downtown ’till Dawn” radio show. Apparently they’ve got all sorts on there.
It’s funny how this stuff always ends up happening to a “John”, isn’t it?
You see, that’s why I came to Twitter. People think of it as this normal part of their lives.
But sometimes, something bleeds through. Sometimes, a story from… somewhere else… appears.
People on here – some people – can, for a moment, let themselves believe that the Sun vanished.
And that gives me hope. I only need one believer.
The priestess… I can’t repeat everything she told me. Some of it because it’s to horrible.
And some of it because I can’t really remember. Alcohol does terrible things to your memory.
But I remember enough. And, since I came back, I’ve seen so much of it come true. There’s no doubt left in my mind.
Somehow, someway, somewhere I went to the future.
That landscape, that desert… that was all that was left of the Town.
Might be offline for a couple of days. There’s these guys sniffing around the bench I’ve been sleeping on.
Do you believe yet?
Got given this flyer for a talk by this Mr. Bliss guy. Seems like he might have some idea about what’s going on around here. Definately tapped in to something, he is.
If I can straighten up for a few hours I might go along to this Mr. Bliss thing. The Uni is just down the road. Can’t hurt, right?
They’re getting closer. I can tell. It’s getting harder and harder to hide from them.
They work for her. Everyone works for her.
I read that back. I can see it. I can see why they call me Mad John. Maybe I am mad.
But the harddrive. I always come back to that. Clutch it. Hold it to my chest. Smell the realness of it.
They all had these harddrives. Some worn on their necks, like crucifixes. The High Priestess gave me one.
She can make me doubt my sanity but so long as I have the harddrive, she can’t break me completely.
It’s our only hope. The priestess said so, and I believe her.
God. Hangovers don’t help the anxiety. Last night I dreamt she’d made hundreds of copies of me. All these Johns running round her Maze.
I have noticed more people in Town are installing wood burning stoves.
I still don’t know how I got back. I danced with them and drank their strange, foul-tasting brews. Since then I’ve been hiding. Homeless. Helpless, but alive and ahead of the game.
I think the smart ones among you, the believers, might know where I am and where I have been.
And you’ll be coming here soon.
So there it is. All laid out for you.
You know where I’ve been. What I’ve seen.
And, if you believe me, you know that I have the evidence and will give it to you.
If you can find me before she does. In the right hands, this evidence could change things.
It could save the trees.
It’s funny how much time I spend with trees, now.
Something about knowing that, if things keep going as they are, they’ll all be gone soon. We need to appreciate what we have.
In a way, I think our whole society is like a dying phone. Desperately scrambling to make those last calls and texts.
And we don’t have a phone charger.
I realize my claims are a bit ridiculous but my intent is not really to be believed. Not by most of you.
It’s too late for me. My time is up. She can take me any time she wants. But she’s wrong. About us. About all of it.
I’ve seen the future she builds. I have seen the last tree. We have to stop her. Man, I need a drink.
I think I’ve nearly got this thing unlocked! Then we’ll see what I’ve gone through all this trouble for. Hope it’s worth it.
I’ve cracked the harddrive guys!!!
I never would have guessed. It’s beyond my wildest, drunkest dreams. After I’m done with this, I think I’m out. Gonna go dark. It’d be pretty silly of me to assume that she can’t see this. Once I get ‘this’ out there, I’m gone.
Still working on getting this uploaded. I hope someone who gets their hands on the contents uses it for good. Change things. Make a better future.
Sorry guys I'm sure she's blocking my upload. But I can't give up now.
I just hope she doesn't take me before I can show you.
Haven't slept in days but I did it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Boom.DSTRKT5

The price of shame | Monica Lewinsky

The price of shame | Monica Lewinsky
Tumblr media
You’re watching at a girl who was publicly silent for a decade. Obviously, that is transformed, but most effective not too long ago. It used to be several months ago that I gave my very first principal public talk on the Forbes 30 beneath 30 summit: 1,500 exceptional humans, all underneath the age of 30. That supposed that in 1998, the oldest among the many staff have been only 14, and the youngest, simply 4. I joked with them that some could simplest have heard of me from rap songs. Yes, i am in rap songs. Almost 40 rap songs. (Laughter) however the night time of my speech, a stunning thing happened. On the age of 41, I was once hit on through a 27-12 months-ancient guy. I do know, correct? He was once charming and i was flattered, and i declined. You already know what his unsuccessful pickup line used to be? He would make me think 22 once more. (Laughter) (Applause) i noticed later that night, i’m ordinarily the only person over 40 who does now not wish to be 22 again. (Laughter) (Applause) on the age of twenty-two, I fell in love with my boss, and at the age of 24, I realized the devastating consequences. Am i able to see a exhibit of fingers of anyone here who failed to make a mistake or do whatever they regretted at 22? Yep.That is what I suggestion. So like me, at 22, a couple of of you could have additionally taken flawed turns and fallen in love with the unsuitable person, possibly even your boss. Unlike me, though, your boss by and large wasn’t the president of the united states of america. Of path, existence is filled with surprises. Not a day goes by using that i’m not reminded of my mistake, and that i remorse that mistake deeply. In 1998, after having been swept up into an unbelievable romance, I was once then swept up into the attention of a political, authorized and media maelstrom like we had not ever obvious before. Take into account, only some years earlier, information used to be consumed from just three places: reading a newspaper or magazine, paying attention to the radio, or watching television. That was once it. However that wasn’t my destiny. As an alternative, this scandal was once brought to you via the digital revolution. That meant we could entry all the information we wanted, once we wanted it, each time, wherever, and when the story broke in January 1998, it broke online. It used to be the first time the normal information used to be usurped through the web for a foremost news story, a click on that reverberated all over the world. What that meant for me personally was that overnight I went from being a utterly private determine to a publicly humiliated one international.I used to be patient zero of dropping a private repute on a world scale nearly immediately. This rush to judgment, enabled by using science, resulted in mobs of virtual stone-throwers. Granted, it used to be earlier than social media, but men and women would still remark online, e-mail stories, and, of path, electronic mail merciless jokes. News sources plastered pictures of me far and wide to sell newspapers, banner advertisements on-line, and to hold persons tuned to the tv. Do you recall a exact photograph of me, say, sporting a beret? Now, I admit I made errors, certainly sporting that beret. However the awareness and judgment that I acquired, not the story, but that I individually received, used to be unparalleled.I was branded as a tramp, tart, slut, whore, bimbo, and, of course, that lady. I was seen by way of many however surely known via few. And that i get it: it was once effortless to put out of your mind that that woman used to be dimensional, had a soul, and was once unbroken. When this occurred to me 17 years ago, there was once no identify for it. Now we call it cyberbullying and on-line harassment. Today, I need to share a few of my experience with you, speak about how that experience has helped shape my cultural observations, and how i’m hoping my prior expertise can lead to a transformation that outcome in much less suffering for others. In 1998, I misplaced my status and my dignity. I lost just about everything, and i virtually lost my life. Let me paint a photo for you. It’s September of 1998. I’m sitting in a windowless place of business room inside the office of the independent suggestions underneath buzzing fluorescent lights. I am listening to the sound of my voice, my voice on surreptitiously taped mobile calls that a supposed buddy had made the year earlier than. I am here due to the fact i’ve been legally required to personally authenticate all 20 hours of taped dialog. For the earlier eight months, the mysterious content material of those tapes has hung like the Sword of Damocles over my head. I mean, who can don’t forget what they mentioned a year in the past? Scared and mortified, I pay attention, hear as I prattle on about the flotsam and jetsam of the day; hear as I confess my love for the president, and, of direction, my heartbreak; take heed to my routinely catty, normally churlish, sometimes silly self being merciless, unforgiving, uncouth; hear, deeply, deeply ashamed, to the worst version of myself, a self i do not even appreciate.A few days later, the Starr report is launched to Congress, and all of those tapes and transcripts, those stolen phrases, kind a part of it. That persons can learn the transcripts is horrific enough, however a few weeks later, the audio tapes are aired on tv, and big parts made on hand on-line. The public humiliation was once excruciating. Lifestyles was just about unbearable. This was once no longer something that occurred with regularity back then in 1998, and via this, I imply the stealing of individuals’s personal words, actions, conversations or graphics, and then making them public — public without consent, public without context, and public with out compassion.Fast ahead 12 years to 2010, and now social media has been born. The panorama has alas become way more populated with situations like mine, whether or not someone virtually make a mistake, and now it can be for both public and exclusive individuals. The penalties for some have turn out to be dire, very dire. I was once on the cell with my mom in September of 2010, and we had been speakme concerning the information of a young school freshman from Rutgers university named Tyler Clementi. Sweet, touchy, ingenious Tyler was secretly webcammed by using his roommate at the same time being intimate with an additional man. When the online world realized of this incident, the ridicule and cyberbullying ignited. Just a few days later, Tyler jumped from the George Washington Bridge to his loss of life. He was once 18. My mother was beside herself about what occurred to Tyler and his household, and she or he was once gutted with affliction in a way that I just couldn’t really recognize, and then eventually i spotted she used to be reliving 1998, reliving a time when she sat via my mattress each night time, reliving a time when she made me bathe with the lavatory door open, and reliving a time when both of my father and mother feared that i would be humiliated to demise, actually.Today, too many mother and father have not had the hazard to step in and rescue their cherished ones. Too many have learned of their baby’s suffering and humiliation after it was too late. Tyler’s tragic, senseless death was once a turning point for me. It served to recontextualize my experiences, and i then began to appear on the world of humiliation and bullying around me and see some thing distinctive. In 1998, we had no approach of figuring out where this brave new technological know-how referred to as the web would take us. On account that then, it has related individuals in unattainable approaches, becoming a member of misplaced siblings, saving lives, launching revolutions, however the darkness, cyberbullying, and slut-shaming that I skilled had mushroomed. Daily on-line, persons, in particular younger folks who are usually not developmentally organized to manage this, are so abused and humiliated that they can’t imagine living to the next day to come, and some, tragically, don’t, and there may be nothing digital about that.ChildLine, a U.Okay. Nonprofit that is enthusiastic about serving to young humans on more than a few problems, launched a striking statistic late final year: From 2012 to 2013, there was an 87 percentage increase in calls and emails regarding cyberbullying. A meta-analysis executed out of the Netherlands showed that for the primary time, cyberbullying used to be main to suicidal ideations more drastically than offline bullying. And what stunned me, despite the fact that it do not have, was once different research final yr that determined humiliation used to be a more intensely felt emotion than either happiness or even anger.Cruelty to others is nothing new, however on-line, technologically improved shaming is amplified, uncontained, and completely available. The echo of embarrassment used to prolong best as far as your loved ones, village, institution or community, but now it is the web neighborhood too. Hundreds of thousands of people, traditionally anonymously, can stab you with their words, and that’s a lot of discomfort, and there are not any perimeters round what number of individuals can publicly notice you and put you in a public stockade. There’s a very personal price to public humiliation, and the progress of the internet has jacked up that price. For close to two a long time now, we now have slowly been sowing the seeds of shame and public humiliation in our cultural soil, both on- and offline.Gossip web pages, paparazzi, reality programming, politics, information retailers and sometimes hackers all site visitors in shame. It is led to desensitization and a permissive environment on-line which lends itself to trolling, invasion of privateness, and cyberbullying. This shift has created what Professor Nicolaus Mills calls a culture of humiliation. Do not forget just a few distinguished examples simply from the past six months on my own. Snapchat, the service which is used in general by way of more youthful generations and claims that its messages only have the lifespan of some seconds. That you may imagine the range of content that that will get. A third-social gathering app which Snapchatters use to maintain the lifespan of the messages was once hacked, and a hundred,000 private conversations, portraits, and movies were leaked online to now have a lifespan of without end. Jennifer Lawrence and a number of different actors had their iCloud debts hacked, and confidential, intimate, nude graphics were plastered across the internet without their permission. One gossip internet site had over 5 million hits for this one story. And what concerning the Sony photographs cyberhacking? The documents which bought probably the most concentration were confidential emails that had highest public embarrassment value. However in this culture of humiliation, there is an extra form of price tag connected to public shaming. The price does now not measure the rate to the victim, which Tyler and too many others, in particular ladies, minorities, and contributors of the LGBTQ community have paid, however the price measures the profit of individuals who prey on them. This invasion of others is a uncooked fabric, effectually and ruthlessly mined, packaged and bought at a revenue. A marketplace has emerged the place public humiliation is a commodity and shame is an industry. How is the cash made? Clicks. The extra disgrace, the more clicks. The extra clicks, the extra advertising bucks. We’re in a harmful cycle. The extra we click on this kind of gossip, the extra numb we get to the human lives at the back of it, and the extra numb we get, the more we click on. The entire even as, anyone is being profitable off of the back of anyone else’s suffering. With every click on, we make a choice. The extra we saturate our culture with public shaming, the more authorised it is, the more we will see habits like cyberbullying, trolling, some varieties of hacking, and online harassment. Why? Because all of them have humiliation at their cores. This conduct is a symptom of the culture now we have created. Simply suppose about it. Changing behavior starts offevolved with evolving beliefs. Now we have visible that to be proper with racism, homophobia, and plenty of other biases, today and in the past. As we have now transformed beliefs about equal-intercourse marriage, more men and women were furnished equal freedoms. When we started valuing sustainability, more people started to recycle. So so far as our culture of humiliation goes, what we want is a cultural revolution.Public shaming as a blood game has to stop, and it can be time for an intervention on the net and in our tradition. The shift starts offevolved with anything easy, but it surely’s now not easy. We must return to an extended-held price of compassion — compassion and empathy. Online, we have received a compassion deficit, an empathy drawback. Researcher Bren Brown mentioned, and i quote, "disgrace cannot survive empathy." disgrace cannot live on empathy. I’ve obvious some very dark days in my lifestyles, and it was once the compassion and empathy from my family, buddies, experts, and usually even strangers that saved me. Even empathy from one individual could make a difference. The idea of minority influence, proposed through social psychologist Serge Moscovici, says that even in small numbers, when there may be consistency over time, trade can happen. In the online world, we can foster minority impact by becoming upstanders. To turn out to be an upstander way as an alternative of bystander apathy, we will submit a confident remark for any individual or document a bullying quandary. Trust me, compassionate comments support abate the negativity. We are able to also counteract the culture through supporting firms that deal with these types of disorders, like the Tyler Clementi foundation in the U.S., in the U.Ok., there’s Anti-Bullying professional, and in Australia, there is undertaking Rockit. We talk so much about our right to freedom of expression, but we need to speak extra about our accountability to freedom of expression. We all wish to be heard, however let’s acknowledge the change between talking up with intention and speakme up for concentration. The web is the superhighway for the identity, but online, showing empathy to others benefits us all and helps create a safer and better world. We have to keep in touch on-line with compassion, consume information with compassion, and click on with compassion. Simply think running a mile in any individual else’s headline. I’d like to end on a individual note. In the past nine months, the question i have been asked essentially the most is why. Why now? Why was I sticking my head above the parapet? Which you can learn between the strains in those questions, and the reply has nothing to do with politics. The highest word answer was and is considering that it’s time: time to discontinue tip-toeing round my prior; time to stop residing a life of opprobrium; and time to take back my narrative. It is also now not just about saving myself. Anyone who’s affected by shame and public humiliation wants to understand one factor: that you could live to tell the tale it. I realize it’s rough. It might not be painless, quick or easy, however you could insist on yet another ending to your story. Have compassion for your self. All of us deserve compassion, and to are living both online and off in a more compassionate world. Thank you for listening. (Applause) .

Description:
Here’s a clip of me on a day time Toronto talk show :
Here I am again on Men’s room TV (short clips from 40 minute interview):
Now I’m not showing you this to impress you but rather to show you that it’s possible for even the shyest most insecure guy to get girls when he knows what he’s doing.
The truth is…years ago…
Maybe you know how that feels?
When you over think everything you want to say when you want to talk to a woman…And it all comes out wrong?
When you feel crippled by the fear of rejection and you just can’t seem to get that first date, let alone get her into bed or become her boyfriend.
I went along like that for years.
I had zero confidence and women could smell my fear a mile away.
Sometimes I wondered if I had some kind of female repellent on me because it really felt like that sometimes.
My chat up lines went down like lead balloons, I found myself paralysed with fear, like a deer in the headlights when talking to a woman, and I found myself alone and frustrated on many nights with nothing but my left hand for company.
One day it all just became too much for me.
All I could see everywhere were my friends hooking up with girls, left, right and centre and I couldn’t take it anymore.
I was jealous as hell and really frustrated.
Around that time…I was out on a run one day and was finding it hard to keep on going. My legs were giving out…
Somehow I equated the struggle I felt on the run with the struggle I was feeling in my life.
With some serious effort…I managed to push past that Struggle and run farther than I have ever ran before.
At that moment…Somewhere deep in my heart, I knew I had to push past the pain and discomfort that was holding me back from meeting women and having love and sex in my life.
Have you ever felt like that?
So frustrated it’s like you’re going to burst.
Something had to change…
So I began studying everything I could find about personal development…Learning from all the greats.
I studied Tony Robbins, and many others, who are masters of creating massive change in your life.
So long story short…After countless hours of listening and reading self help books I started to see changes.
For the first time in my life, girls were paying attention to me.
I started dating a lot and I loved it, found a new confidence that always alluded me before and cracked the code on getting girls to like me, go out with me, and yes, sleep with me, and it all seemed effortless.
Can you imagine what that would be like?
After looking at the success I was having, guys started asking me for advice…Looking for my secrets.
And so my life as a top dating coach began.
Now I’ve been teaching my methods to many guys over the years with some great success.
And I’ve always been looking to help guys get more dates, more girls and more sex.
Or that special relationship if they want it right now.
After about 5 years of doing this…I had one of those AHA! moments…I realized…
Facebook is a massive untapped resource when it comes to attracting great looking women.
Think about it for second.
Why do you think all those women put up those sexy pictures of themselves online?
They want to be asked out by guys like you.
They want to have fun with guys.
And here’s the really cool bit.
Women don’t scrutinise guys on Facebook like they do on a regular dating site.
Hot women that normally blow you out of the water on a dating site will welcome you with open arms on Facebook.
They will be ready and willing to date you, sleep with you and be your girlfriend, if that’s what you’re after.
Most guys end up posting the kind of content and profiles that send hot looking women running to the hills on Facebook.
And that’s such a pity cause there are literally thousands of females for you to choose from in your area.
Just check out these statistics…
Facebook has over 3oo million female users and they are ready and waiting to hear from you.
I realized 5 years ago I could transfer the techniques I was using offline to  get women, to an online format like Facebook and magnify the results I was getting.
Instead of approaching one or two girls in a bar at night or in a coffee shop and getting a handful of dates, I could make contact with hundreds of women simultaneously using my specialized techniques and have the pick of the bunch when it comes to getting dates with beautiful women.
It’s so easy to get dates using my techniques on Facebook that it almost feels unfair.
Like you should be trying harder but you’re not.
Over the last 5 years I’ve got this system down to a fine art.
I’ve only shared this system with a handful of guys so far with amazing results.
Let me tell you a quick story about Oren from Toronto.
Oren was having real trouble with women and getting dates when we met.
After just a couple of days though, he sent me this message…
You can be setting up one date after another with stunning beauties in your PJ’s as you sit by the computer at home.
And you won’t have to venture out of the house or spend your hard earned money in a night club or on dinner.
All you have to do is employ the exact tactics I teach you that have worked wonders for guys and sit back and watch the offers and attention come rolling in.

… When it comes to getting girls to like you and date you, most guides out there today are  full of cheap one liners and techniques they say will get you laid.
But if it were that easy everyone would be getting some action right?
The truth is, women are not stupid and they can see when we are using a worn out tactic a mile off or acting in a way that is not congruent with who you are.

The Clash Of Titans: Post Directory Site Owners Vs. Automated Post Submission Solutions
Post marketing has actually been thought about a helpful approach of promo on the Internet, because the extremely early days of the Internet. By composing an useful short article, authors have actually had the ability to get their sales message checked out by countless online customers, through their resource box that follows their posts. Up until 2005, the entire point of short article marketing was for the function of drawing in substantial varieties of readers as an outcome of the short articles being released in ezines that had a big reader base.
A New Kind Of Article Marketing For Link Popularity
In 2005, Jason Bradley, owner of Article Dashboard, launched his complimentary short article directory site software application. Sites that utilize his software application are typically described as ADVERTISEMENT websites.
Throughout the very same amount of time, individuals started relying on post marketing in droves, based upon its pledge for developing link appeal with Yahoo, MSN, and mainly Google. Many people who followed suit in 2005 to back short article marketing for link appeal functions promoted an extremely minimal view of this advertising strategy.
Their ideas went along the lines of “the only function for post marketing is link appeal.” There was no other function for short article marketing, they stated. And given that one just required to type enough words to get a link into a short article directory site, the most typical suggestion was that short articles must just be 300-400 words in length.
It was likewise frequently advised that a lot of post directory site owners do not evaluate the material sent to them, so it was trivial that the short article made good sense or delighted the post’s readers. The suggestion being made was not for the possibility of producing traffic from posts; it was just for the functions of affecting the search engine algorithms, which are not capable of in fact checking out short articles for grammar or understanding.
Individuals gathered to this brand-new sort of post marketing, and they were more worried with “amount than quality”-- amount of links that is.
   Software Application Developers Rallied
Early on, individuals who utilized short article marketing to promote their companies were elated. They were getting links all over the location.
Quickly, these developers had systems in location to mass send short articles to the brand-new type of post directory sites. They informed the brand-new short article directory site owners that if they would include a basic script to their site, then the submission service would occupy their directory sites with short article material.
Numerous directory site owners gathered to this brand-new sort of post circulation system.
With the mass implementation of sites under the Article Dashboard software application, and others given that, developers leapt through hoops and established brand-new post circulation systems that depend on computer systems rather of individuals for the circulation procedure.
The Realities Of Article Directory Management Sank In
In order to totally comprehend the task of the short article directory site supervisor, the supervisor should by hand authorize or turn down every post sent to an ADVERTISEMENT website. Numerous ADVERTISEMENT directory site owners recognized that the approval procedure was a long and laborious affair, particularly when they were getting hundreds of short articles per day from these automatic circulation systems.
After just a few months of operation, numerous Dashboard websites stop authorizing posts for one of 2 factors: 1) it took excessive time to handle their short article directory site site, or 2) the quantity of earnings produced from the procedure did not match the time requirements of the directory site.
In early 2006, I had actually recorded a list of 180 sites owned by this operation. On a current evaluation, I was not able to find a single one of these 180 ADVERTISEMENT websites still running the ADVERTISEMENT script, and many were offline entirely.
   The Clash Of Titans
Things actually started to alter in the ADVERTISEMENT directory site ownership video game a couple of months into the job. Directory site owners started to recognize that in order for them to make money from their post directory sites, they need to do something that brings readers to their sites and motivates commitment from their website’s visitors.
This one action has actually set the objectives of the software application designers’ post circulation systems and their clients (amount over quality) in dispute with the very best interests of the short article directory site owners (quality over amount).
The ADVERTISEMENT owners who have actually made it through the early surge of ADVERTISEMENT websites have actually typically taken the mindset that they ought to concentrate on “quality over amount”.
Considering that a lot of short article directory sites count on marketing to drive their profits stream, the directory site owners needed to do something that the other directory site owners were refraining from doing. They needed to identify themselves from the masses.
Directory Site Managers Began To Implement New Submission Rules
Throughout the board, directory site owners have actually stomped on Private Label Rights (PLR) posts. When short article directory site supervisors started to understand that their sites housed lots of copies of a single short article, each of which had actually been signed by various individuals as the mentioned author, they understood that they had a major quality issue.
Some ADVERTISEMENT website owners have actually carried out minimum word count standards as a step to break some of the scrap short article peddlers. The individuals focused on composing short articles for link appeal are driven by the idea of 300-400 word short articles.
Short Article Dashboard, Article Garden and lots of others have actually taken the action to restrict the submission of short articles that just indicate affiliate sites. Post Express had actually gone one action even more to forbid affiliate links, even if the affiliate programs are promoted from the author’s domain.
The owner of Invisible MBA, an instructional short article directory site, informed me that he needed to evaluate 10 posts to discover one he wished to utilize. He likewise frequently grumbled about individuals who did not follow even the most basic directions about suitable material on his site. He ultimately turned to prohibiting 70% of individuals sending short articles to his site, consisting of the automatic post submission services, since they merely might not follow his classification standards for submission.
Early on, a number of those short article directory site owners who were intent on survival acted to lower the trash streaming into their directory sites. Directory site supervisors observed patterns in the short articles that regularly stopped working to determine up to their brand-new requirements.
His entire concern is a typical problem amongst the short article directory site supervisors. They firmly insist that authors need to make the effort to properly classify the short articles they send. Considering that it takes so long to authorize posts by hand and to pick the appropriate classification, directory site supervisors have actually turned to erasing short articles rather of classifying those short articles for the author.
Lee Asher who owns Articles-Galore and a number of other ADVERTISEMENT websites was among the very first to come down hard on software application submissions to his site. His standards state in no unpredictable terms that if somebody utilizes software application to send out short articles to his sites, the individual will have all of their short articles gotten rid of from his site.
Correct Category Placements Is A Consistent Issue For Article Directory Managers
One of the primary issues with the auto-submission software application is that the software application does not precisely attend to the current classification hierarchy for each short article directory site. In order for the directory site supervisor to remain real to the format of his or her directory site, he or she should either finish the classification choices for the auto-submitters or erase the posts sent through them.
In order to assist their site visitors, the directory site supervisors regularly upgrade their classification plans. Given that the ADVERTISEMENT software application just reveals 30 short articles per listing page, and considering that there is one author who has actually composed more than 400 short articles simply on the subject of mesothelioma cancer, it made sense to partition my cancer classification so that it was not an ad for just one author.
Post directory site owners wish to impress their readers and the online search engine. They require the correctly classify posts mainly for their human readers, who are looking for particular details on their site.
Short Article Marketing Still Works For Those Who Care About Quality Over Quantity
It holds true that those automated post circulation services can get your short article to a great deal of sites, however on a portion basis, the number of those submissions are getting authorized?
If you still like post marketing for its capability to get your organisation seen by ezine readers, then it is as reliable as it has actually constantly been. If you just like post marketing for its capability to affect your link appeal, it can still be efficient, if you do it.
In the end, it is a karma thing-- if I deal with the directory site supervisors right, they will treat me best by authorizing more of my short articles. Because it is not unusual for me to invest 6 to 7 hours to compose a post like this one, it makes a lot more sense for me to invest the additional time to get a broader grab my posts, by honoring the desires of the more significant post directory sites.
For my own usage, I utilize my own short article circulation service to reach ezine publishers. And for mass directory site submission, I choose to send posts to the directory sites by hand, since hand submission allows me to get the classification right each time, which in turn allows my posts to get authorized more frequently.
