i think someone should write a steddie story where steve is a therapist & he gets a new client who’s trying to get over a break up &… while it certainly seems like his new client was way more into the guy than the guy was in to him, the guy still sounds… fucking amazing. he does everything right, sounds super emotionally mature. a total sweetheart rocker type that rescues kittens from the rain & loves his friends an insane amount. basically… just kind of perfect? & so steve can totally understand why his client is head over heels for this guy because… he kind of is too?

& then he meets eddie in the flesh & it’s kind of a meet-ugly & they end up on the totally wrong foot but they’re thrown together because of dustin & mike & steve suddenly has to reconcile his feelings for this perfect guy his client has put in his head & the real-life eddie who he hates & who he hates even more because all while being insufferable, he’s also hot. & then something something happens & steve realizes eddie’s not so bad & then whoops he’s rescuing kittens & loves his friends so much that he drops everything to pick up steve from an emergency when his car breaks down just because dustin asks.

& they’re at a show because mike’s new on bass & forced them all to go & steve spots his client in the crowd & his client spots him & sends him the dirtiest look, but steve can’t approach cause of the whole hipaa thing but finally steve puts two and two together & realizes that the person his client is in love with & the person he’s in love with are the same person

& a whole bunch of rom com hijinks ensue & then steve & eddie are in love & live happily ever after
