i just know taxes on the third are insane
#trying to figure out just how the third is so much wealthier than the other houses (besides fifth/maybe seventh?)#obviously taz is not really interested in expanding on the economics of the universe but I am#i was reading about how louis xvi commissioned a multi-gated wall so they could better levy taxes on merchant goods#i feel like the third similarly collects taxes on everythinggg#i also suspect that they're at least partially in charge of distributing goods to the rest of the houses
