* I tried to edit some minor things on my original post, but it was inexplicably deleted. Thankfully I had a version backed up, for some reason, so here it is posted anew.
This was a fun, brisk show (it clocked in at about 2 and a half hours) from a socially distanced crowd of around 5,000, that delivered a few great matches. On the whole everything felt a bit short, especially the first two matches that were both sprinted through in 7 minutes. Yoshinobu Kanemaru countered an RPP attempt into a cradle to pin Master Wato in an opener that was marred by a few noticeable botches, then Toru Yano very surprisingly pinned Okada to be the inaugural KOPW trophy holder. The finish came when Okada had Despy in the Cobra Clutch, but Yano rolled in, hit a low blow on his CHAOS stablemate, then School Boy’d him for the win. This was fun, but at 7:01, it was much too short to be anything other than “just there”. Things really picked up in match 3 as Shingo Takagi, who has been one of the (if not the) standout workers of 2020, defending his NEVER title against grouchy psychopath Minoru Suzuki. This was the best match on the show, and these guys pummelled each other in the blistering August sun. Special mention must go to Suzuki’s facials in this, which were tremendous. Shingo managed to escape a rear naked choke and nailed a Death valley Bomb, then hit Made In Japan for a near fall. Suzuki escaped a Last Of The Dragon attempt and hit a headbutt to the back of Takagi’s head. Shingo came off the ropes for a Pumping Bomber, but Suzuki nailed him with his big dropkick. They exchanged stiff forearms and Lariats, before Suzuki hit a shoot headbutt, and locked in the choke again. He let go and hit the Gotch Style Piledriver to win his second NEVER championship at the 14:56 mark.
The Jr. Title Match that followed had a lot riding on its shoulders. Firstly, Hiromu is nursing a separated shoulder, so he was limited in what he could do, and Ishimori hasn’t looked like his old self since injuring his neck in last years BOSJ, so whilst this was a really great match, it was nowhere in the same league as their classic 2018 BOSJ final. Bone Soldier worked over Hiromu’s injured shoulder, ramming it into the ring post after hitting a Moonsault to the floor, and trying for the Yes Lock. Takahashi made a comeback by hitting a dropkick off the apron, then went for a German into the buckles, but Taiji countered into a reverse Frankensteiner. Hiromu popped up and hit the German into the corner anyway, then got a near fall with Dynamite Plunger. They traded German’s which resulted in both guys landing square on top of their respective heads. I’ve no idea what they were thinking here, unless the plan was to flip out onto their feet, but neither made it properly. Takahashi tried the “D” triangle choke, but Ishimori tried to power him up into a powerbomb, nearly dropped him, then hit a buckle bomb which Hiromu took head first in frightening fashion. Hiromu battled back with a big Lariat, hit the Death Valley Bomb into the corner, then hit Time Bomb for a great near fall. He tried Time Bomb II, but Ishimori escaped and hit a reverse Bloody Cross, which looked terrifying, then locked in the Yes Lock again. Hiromu fought valiantly, but Ishimori turned it into a Border City Stretch he’s calling the Bone Lock, and Takahashi had to tap at 13:30. An interesting title switch here, but realistically, there are no fresh challengers for Hiromu at this point (or anyone really), and he’s probably going to factor into the G1, so it makes sense. And I know that I sound like an old fuddy-duddy here, but Hiromu needs to stop taking these bumps onto his head and neck. He only returned from a serious, potentially career-ending neck injury in December, and by August he’s needing to take time off again.
The Tag Title bout was an excellent match. It went 16 minutes so didn’t stay in the doldrums for the first half, like their half hour Dominion outing, and was essentially all action. The beginning was just as you’d expect; the heels worked over Tana’s destroyed knees, and he sold and sold. However, he made the hot tag to Ibushi, who ran wild like a man possessed, hitting stiff kicks, a standing moonsault and standing shooting star. He traded more hard kicks with Taichi, with both guys hitting a double headkick on each other for the double down. Zack was sporting a taped up knee, so Tanahashi zeroed in on it after escaping a Brakes Arm Bar, hitting Dragon Screws, including the babyfaces hitting the assisted version they’ve been devastating Tanahashi with all summer. After Ibushi kicked the Iron Fingers From Hell off Taichi’s hand, it came down to Tana and ZSJ again. The Ace hit a standing HFF, then went up for another, but Sabre moved and he ate canvas. Taichi again hit the ring and the champions hit the double team Black Mephisto that they’re calling Zack Mephisto (very clever), to retain the titles. I honestly think it’s time Tana and Ibushi parted ways for the time being so Kota can figure into the main title picture again. He’s been in the tag scene ever since he lost at Wrestle Kingdom, and it feels like he’s lost a lot of momentum. As for the champions, I’m never going to pretend to like Taichi, but he does his job well here.
And in the main event, Tetsuya Naito sought revenge on EVIL and reclaim his Double Titles in another Dominion rematch. This was a hundred times better than their Osaka outing as the interference was kept to a minimum (well as minimum as interference gets nowadays) as they didn’t needlessly go 40 damn minutes this time. The story of this was both guys going after the others neck, with Naito hitting neckbreakers, and EVIL doing his chair around the head gimmick. The King Of Darkness tried Darkness Falls onto the apron, but Naito countered into a neckbreaker to the floor, then scored a near fall with a Frankensteiner off the top. EVIL sent Naito into the exposed turnbuckles and hit a massive suplerplex. He followed that up with Darkness Falls for 2, and countered a Naito Destino attempt with an eye rake. The prerequisite chicanery happened next as Dick Togo nailed Naito with a chair as EVIL held the ref. After a botched ref bump, EVIL just threw Red Shoes into the exposed buckles, which brought Togo back. He and EVIL nailed a Magic Killer on Naito, which (shock of all shocks) brought out BUSHI, who took Togo out with a dropkick. From here, Gedo came in and poked BUSHI in the eyes, and they brawled at ringside. Dick Togo used the garrotte on Naito, which caused SANADA to run out, hit dropkicks on EVIL and Togo, then wipe Togo out with a TKO, which the veteran took a great bump for. SANADA and BUSHI hit stereo Pescado’s, then dragged the interfering Bullet Clubbers to the back, leaving it one-on-one. Naito hit Destino, but EVIL kicked out. EVIL countered a second Destino attempt with a low blow, and hit a massive Lariat for a near fall. Naito blocked an attempt at another low blow, then hit Valentia (this is a much better finisher, in my opinion), then lifted him up and hit Destino to regain the belts at the 26:20 mark.
Naito cut a promo in the post match about over coming adversity, there was a fireworks display, and everyone went home happy. So the EVIL experiment is over, for the time being. I have absolutely no problem with them wanting to elevate EVIL, but it was more of the manner they were going about it which raised concerns with me. He really didn’t need to be out there doing the whole Bullet Club shenanigans, as they really don’t play to his strengths at all. Next up is the G1, which should be interesting. It doesn’t have the same sort of buzz around it for me this year (what could?), for obvious reasons, but I’m sure it’ll be a ton of fun.

Stories From Summer
Prompt Three - Water Balloon Fight
Words: 1,906
AN: Hello lovelies, so glad to be apart of this collab! In this chapter, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will are inside on a hot summer day, but then Steve comes downstairs and suggests them a much more fun way to spend the hot summer day. Hope you enjoy my piece of this chapter!
~
June 29th, 1985
It was a hot summer day in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, temperatures rising to about 20 degrees. Even though it was 20 degrees, it felt like Texas or Arizona weather.
Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will were inside, playing their usual game, dungeons and dragons, in Mike’s basement. They were originally planning to go out earlier, but the weather was just too hot for them to do so. So, they ended up coming inside for a bit too cool down from the heat.
Eleven was over at Max’s house, they were much closer than they were this time last year, and Eleven grew more fond of Max the more she spent time with her.
Luckily it was always just the two of them whenever they hung out at Max’s, Billy was afraid of Eleven. Afraid. He knew if he had went near them, or even looked at them, Eleven would hurt him. Billy would try to tell his stepmother and his own father, but luckily they had never believed a single word he said. So, Billy would always leave the house every time Eleven came up.
“Jeez, Mike, it’s so warm down here, and we opened all the windows and everything!” said Lucas, “Don’t you have a fan or something?”
“Yeah, the fan broke though,” Mike responded, “Holly put a fork in there, and dad tried to get it out, but broke the entire thing instead.”
“Aw, that sucks!”
“It’s actually not too bad.” Will smiled, “The heat. Kind of relaxing.”
When people complained about it being too hot, Will actually liked it. He found warm temperatures to be calming, and had even had the heater on in his room at night, especially in the summer, along with a fan by his side, of course.
He still got post traumatic stress from being possessed by the mind flayer, so heat always calmed him down, no matter what. Spending time with his own friends was another way he calmed down, they took away all his worries he had.
“Hey boys,” Steve said while walking down the stairs, “It’s too nice out to be inside, are you crazy?”
Steve was the only other one in the house besides the boys, as Karen, Ted, and Holly were on a four day trip to Niagra Falls, and Nancy was gone to Jamaica with Johnathan for ten days.
Karen and Ted had known Steve long enough to trust them with Mike and anyone else Mike chose to bring over.
“It’s too hot out there, are you crazy?” said Mike
“Seriously guys, I’m the boss of the house right now, so I say we go outside.” said Steve
“Even though we’re all 15?” said Lucas
“Not my point, Lucas,” Steve continued, “I’m saying we should be all outside having some fun, I’ll even join you if you want.”
Dustin nodded in agreement
“Steve is right, guys.” said Dustin
“Well, I was thinking, how about all of us gather up the waterguns and balloons and have a water balloon fight?” Steve suggested
Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucas’ dulls eyes widened with agreement and excitement, and agreed right away
“You actually have the greatest ideas, Steve!” said Dustin, “Hey Mike, Lucas, why don’t you guys invite Eleven and Max over to join us?”
They did just that, and first called up Hopper’s phone. There was no answer the few times they tried.
Then, they had called Max’s phone, and both Lucas and Mike’s hearts were pounding, hoping that Billy wasn’t going to pick up the phone
To their surprise and relief, it was Max who answered, and Eleven happened to be there with her.
Both Max and Eleven agreed to come to the Wheeler residence, and after both lines had hung up, Steve and the rest of the boys got ready and started to fill up water balloons and water guns.
“Hey guys, we should hide before they come, and pop out of nowhere and aim at them!” Dustin smirked
“I like that idea.” Will chuckled
Mike and Lucas given then the ‘Come on’ look, and as did Steve
“Fine, but if El decides to hit you with a tsunami wave, it’s your own fault.” Mike gave in
“So are we doing this thing or not, dickheads?” said Steve, “Will is the only one helping me fill up these balloons.”
They were in the kitchen, and the group of them got ready and began filling their balloons, water guns, and even buckets. But mostly water balloons.
Max and Eleven weren’t going to be up for another 20-30 mins, so they had plenty of time.
“Hey Steve, are you going to be joining us?” Mike asked, while filling up the balloons in the kitchen sink
“Hell yeah I am, why do you think I suggested this?”
“Well, you’re right I guess,” Lucas smirked, “Better than sitting in the house on a warm day like this.”
“You boys are finally speaking my language.” Steve said smugly
Dustin got the hose ready outside, and then went and finished filling up the few buckets from the bathtub upstairs, and brought them down by the porch.
“Who should I pour this on first?” Dustin looked over at Steve
“If you do that, I will not hesitate to knock your head in.” said Steve
Will kept glancing out the window to see if they were coming.
Four buckets of water balloons later, Will spotted Max and Eleven making their way up to the house.
“Guys, they’re here!” Will called out
The five of them, including Steve, made their way to the backyard, hiding, while Max and Eleven rang the doorbell
No response when they tried it the first time
“Where are they?” said Max, “They said they would be here, maybe they just ran to the store. Let’s just wait here for a few minutes.”
Eleven nodded, and they sat on Wheeler’s porch
They sat there for what felt like two hours, even though it was only ten minutes
Meanwhile, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Steve were hiding in various parts of Wheeler’s garden for what also felt like hours.
Steve had looked down at his watch
“Guys, I don’t think they know we’re back here.” said Steve, “Mike, do you want to go and tell them -”
“No Steve, this is a water balloon fight, remember?” said Mike, “They just happen to walk right into out trap.”
“But how will they know we’re back here?” Steve asked
“We can’t make too much noise, we can’t ruin the fun.” said Lucas, “Dustin, maybe distract them to come back here or something, make an animal noise, anything!”
Dustin yelled a weird sound, an awooga-like sound, which made the rest of them snicker
“Dustin? Is that you?” Max called out
“Mike is out there.” Eleven whispered
“How do you -”
“Follow me.”
The two of them made their way out back to the Wheeler’s backyard, but no one was in sight.
Max sighed in frustration, wondering where they might have gone, as as did Eleven.
As soon as they were about to make their way back up front, they spun around to a surprise.
Dustin had somehow snuck up behind them, and sprayed them with the garden hose
They both shrieked in surprise, none of them seeing it coming, and the hose water smell drafting through the warm summer air
Dustin laughed, but began shrieking in surprise too when Eleven turned the hose on him with her mind
“Aw come on!” he groaned
“And, fire!!!” Steve called out
Before Eleven and Max could turn around, Steve and the rest of the boys pelted water balloons at them while they had their back turned while focusing on Dustin
Both of them laughing and dodging while being pelted with these water balloons, they spotted a bucket of other water balloons. Almost as if it was there specifically for them. The two of them picked up the water balloons from the bucket, as they began aiming and throwing them at Steve, Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin. It was two against five.
“Not fair!” Max called out, while her and Eleven were still being pelted with water balloons and the occasional water gun.
Dustin stumbled behind his team, while Mike said “I told you El would get back at you”
“Yeah, yeah whatever, Mike.” Dustin rolled his eyes, and continued to flick water balloons at the two of them
After about two minutes of the water fight, Eleven did something. She made the other team’s water balloons stop in mid air, then with her mind, flicked it back at Steve and the other boys.
Max laughed and gave Eleven a high-five, then they continued to do their thing and flick more water balloons at the boys. Besides, it wasn’t fair that the guys had the water guns and they didn’t, right? Well, Dustin and Will used them for the most part, until they ran out of water.
Then, as time gradually went on, two against five turned into all of them aiming water balloons at one another, a few times the kids even aimed at Steve together
“Hey, not cool, creeps!” Steve said while trying to dodge all six of them.
Then, as everyone was having fun, and while continuing to throw water balloons at each other, they didn’t notice that Steve wasn’t there.
“Hey, where did Steve go?” Mike asked
The group had gotten so distracted, they weren’t even paying attention to their surroundings much, only the fun they were having.
“WATERFALL!!!” Steve snuck up on them, and poured a giant bucket of water all over them, “That’s revenge for all of you pelting me at once.”
Then, all six of them continued throwing balloons at each other, occasionally one or two going back inside to refill, as they were all having such a great time.
All of them had a water fight for long time, but they were all having too much fun to notice. Joy filled the atmosphere, sound of water balloons being splattered onto one another, and laughter filled the summer air, as they were all carefree, and having a lot of fun!
When they first started, it was around 2:30 pm, which eventually continued until about 4:30 pm, and they knew it was getting a tad bit late when eventually they had all run out of breath, and the warm breeze on their moist skin turned into a more cooler breeze, as the sun was now behind the house, sunrays occasionally peeking in through the branches and leaves, and the sun was slowly descending every hour.
“You were right,” said Lucas, “This was an amazing idea!”
“I’m always right.” said Steve, “Who’s up for getting ice cream down the road?”
They had all agreed, and all of them had went inside to change their wet clothes. Luckily, Eleven and Max remembered to do so too; Mike did say they were going to be having a water balloon fight while on the phone.
The seven of them walked down the road, Will and Dustin by Steve’s side, while Mike and Eleven walked ahead hand-in-hand, and the same went for Max and Lucas, also walking hand-in-hand.
One thing all of them knew for sure was this was one of the best days ever for them, and one of the best days of the summer. And the fact they were going to be getting ice cream was the perfect ending to this fun afternoon.

You Got Flour Right There || Alexaine
Who: Alexander Smythe and Blaine Anderson
Where: Mad Batters Bakery, Blaine’s apartment
When: Wednesday, August 29th 2018
Notes: Blaine and Alexander have been friends ever since Alex laid eyes on him behind the counter of his bakery. Over a year later, Alex finally makes his real feelings towards the other man known.
Blaine Anderson
Running a business was hectic but Blaine loved it. Since he'd moved to San Francisco, he'd worked hard to create his business and had experienced three years of enormous success. He'd originally planned to go to San Francisco for college but this was where life had turned out and he loved it. His family were fairly distant since he came out as transgender but Blaine has a new family in the form of the close friends he's made in the city.
One of these friends being Alexander Smythe. The two were pretty different and hadn't known each other for very long, but they'd hit it off immediately. Blaine's friends all joked about the sexual tension between them. As attractive as the Smythe was, Blaine was nervous. He hadn't told him he was trans and Alex had no idea. He didn't know how to come out to someone he cared about because he didn't know how he'd react or whether he'd still find him attractive. So he'd kept it to himself.
Right now though? Alex was sitting in the corner of the bakery. He'd visited close to closing time and refused to let Blaine lock up on his own. So Blaine was baking and prepping for the following day while Alex was sat at one of the tables. It was like Blaine forgot he was there and sang to himself quietly as he baked, though it slowly turned into him belting out show tunes and dancing across the kitchen happily.
Alexander Smythe
Blaine Anderson was a kindred spirit. He'd come to that conclusion almost as soon as he'd stopped thinking about how hot he was. Like Alexander, he'd come to San Francisco alone and with no definitive plan but somehow he'd managed it. And he'd managed it well. Mad Batters was the go-to spot for almost every student with taste. It was a break from the silence of the library and somewhere you could indulge all your sugar fantasies.
Blaine had never given him any out and out signal that he was interested in guys, let alone him specifically and so despite what their mutual friends said, he never made a move. There was something about the dark haired boy that made him want to look after him which is how his late evening snack had turned into a rather late night study session in the corner of Blaine's kitchen. There wasn't a chance he was going to let him lock up alone; nor would he let him walk home alone. He'd managed to concentrate on his assignment pretty well, giving nothing but a small smile when Blaine had began to sing quietly.
After a verse and a chorus of him singling loudly, he'd closed his books and opted to sit back to watch the show. 'You know Anderson. you might just be in the wrong business.' he called, as Blaine finished a pop number he didn't recognise. 'I really think you ought to consider giving performing another shot.'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine was well away as he sang, mixing the cake mix and setting it into small bun cases, ready to be baked. He spun around to toss the now-empty bowl into the dishwasher, belting out one final big note as he did so. The sound of someone behind him had him yelling in surprise, turning around to see Alex.
His cheeks burned a bright red as he realised his friend had seen the whole thing, hiding his face with his hands and unknowingly getting flour on his cheek. "You're ridiculous," he said with an embarrassed laugh. "I couldn't ever be a performer, I'm nowhere near good enough. Not to mention this place is my absolute passion. I couldn't give it up."
Alexander Smythe
He had always been a touchy-feely person and that was how he justified resting his hands on Blaine's hips. It was nothing to do with the fact that he found him incredibly attractive, or that he actively wanted to touch him. It was just instinctive. 'I suppose I'll have to settle for private shows in that case. I mean, I can't say I'm disappointed. I don't know how I'd get through the day without a little sugar from you.'
He was very aware of the double meaning behind his words and he was hoping to gauge Blaine's interest with a little harmless flirting. He let one hand move from his hips so he could brush the flour away from his face. 'See, you're a mess Blaine Anderson. What would you do without me?' he hummed softly.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine swallowed nervously when he felt Alex's hands on his hips, giving him a small smile. His cheeks were still red and he hated it, hated how much he blushed around the other man. How was it fair? He had no idea and he laughed quietly, shaking his head. "You can have as many private shows as you want, Smythe. A... a little sugar? Well, you're always welcome here, you know that."
Blaine was very much aware of what he'd meant and it had his cheeks flaming. But he couldn't fall into the flirting, not really. Not until he found a way of telling Alex the truth. The hand on his face had him tensing a little and he laughed when he realised the other was brushing flour from his cheek. "Crash and burn? Lock up all by myself and walk home through the big bad streets of San Francisco?"
Alexander Smythe
His experiment hadn't granted him any further clarification of Blaine's feelings. He was blushing in the most adorable fashion which made Alexander want to kiss him even more but he didn't seem to flirt back. When he thought about it, he hadn't really seen Blaine flirt all that much at all so it could just be that he was bad at it. That had to be it. He was very aware of how attractive he was; surely Blaine had to see it too.
'I suppose I might crash and burn a little without you too.' he hummed, not making any attempt to either close the distance between them or move away. 'Y'know cause of the sugar. My sweet tooth is pretty well known round these parts. I once bought a bakery entirely out of cupcakes because finals were approaching.' he grinned. 'Do you have much more left to do?'
Blaine Anderson
Alexander was very close to Blaine and it had his heart beating faster, uncomfortably aware of the lack of distance between them. It'd be easy to just lean up and kiss him - Alex had made it very clear he thought Blaine was attractive, but Blaine was just nervous to tell him his secret. He wasn't ashamed, he just didn't want Alex to see him any differently because he valued their friendship.
"Promise me you won't ever eat me out of cupcakes, they're my most popular product and I can't imagine my customers would be happy if I had done," he said, petting his cheek gently before stepping away to continue what he'd been doing - clear away everything. "Not really. I'm just clearing up the rest of my things and then I'll be done. Everything else can wait until morning."
Alexander Smythe
He hadn't expected Blaine to move away from quickly and when he did, he stumbled forward slightly; his lower stomach colliding uncomfortably with the counter top. He recovered quickly; righting himself and running his hand through his hair. That was a very clear sign that Blaine wasn't interested, and logically, he knew he should shelf his attraction and consider looking elsewhere for something more meaningful than a one night stand. He wasn't always known for acting logically however.
'If people are coming here for your cupcakes, they clearly haven't tried your pastries. I'm well versed in all of your baked goods and I'm confident, pastries are the very best thing you make.' he nodded seriously, trying to regain his confidence. 'You should consider hiring someone else to work here y'know. You seem to do the bulk of it. And before you say anything, I know you do it because it's your business but maybe someone else could close on occasion; let you go on a date.' he suggested, lifting himself up to sit on the counter. 'Or have them open so you can enjoy the morning after a successful date.'
Blaine Anderson
"Alex, you like all of the things on my menu, that's why we're friends," Blaine said with a grin, turning to look at him a little. He thought about what he said but continued what he was doing, making sure the refrigerators were on and everything would be okay until he arrived the following morning. He had thought about hiring someone else, just to help him a little because Blaine did everything himself. But maybe having someone to help wouldn't be a bad thing.
"Hiring someone is something I've thought about. I've had some people hand in their resumes and such, but I've not really thought much about it. Maybe I'll look through them again and see. I don't know if I could ask them to get in as early as I do to open up, though. I get here at seven to make sure everything's perfect, then open at eight for people coming by for their breakfast."
Alexander Smythe
'Blaine, you're going to make a boy very disappointed if you're rolling out of his bed before seven.' he pointed out, noting that Blaine had avoided the topic of his love life quite expertly. 'I could come work for you over the Summer.' he suggested with a shrug. 'I'm sure you need someone reliable to taste test everything before you put it out. You wouldn't want to compromise your standards or anything like that.' He explained, feigning his most serious tone before he broke out a smile.
He hopped off the counter as Blaine looked like he was finishing up and he packed his things back into his bag. 'Can I steal some cupcakes on the way out? I have a test tomorrow morning and I probably won't have time to stop by beforehand.' he called, making his way out to the front of the shop.
Blaine Anderson
"I have to be here early to make sure the shop is all set up, Alex. Otherwise I'll lose business and this is important to me. I'm sure whoever I did end up in bed with would understand," Blaine said, shaking his head fondly as he watched Alex make his back back out of the kitchen and to the front to pack his things. Blaine hung his apron up and washed his hands, making sure everything was sorted one final time before reaching for his bag and throwing it over his shoulder.
"I'm way ahead of you," Blaine said, holding up a small box he'd prepared earlier. "I've started making extra for whenever you come by, otherwise you really will eat most of my profits," he added with a grin, leading him out of the store and locking up, making sure everything was secure. "You know, you don't have to walk me home. You live on the complete other side of town."
Alexander Smythe
He took the box eagerly and held it under his arm. 'You know me too well babe.' he grinned, mind drifting briefly to just how much he was going to enjoy indulging in the sugary treats. 'And because you know me so well, you'll also know I left $50 on the counter. For your continuous indulgence of my addiction. He always left money behind because he hadn't been able to get Blaine to accept it when he wasn't officially buying from the store.
'Nonsense, of course I have to walk you home. I am a gentleman.' He stepped back and gave an exaggerated bow before offering his arm to the shorter man. 'My good sir.' he grinned. 'Do allow me the pleasure of seeing you safely to your place of residence. Alas, I'll make it home in the wee hours with enough time to crash before classes tomorrow.'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine stopped dead in his tracks when Alex said he left money on the counter, reaching up to hit his arm playfully. Why Alex had done that, he didn't quite know. Blaine had made it very obvious that he didn't mind and enjoyed the other's company. He didn't mind giving him a few sugary treats here and there. Most of the time they were the imperfect looking ones he didn't want to sell anyway.
"You are ridiculous and fifty is far to much! I... Thank you, but honestly, you didn't have to do that." Blaine grinned at the extended arm and hooked his around it so they could walk through the streets hand in hand. "Fine, fine, you dork. But... you can stay at mine, if you want. You can crash there, shower and I can find some clothes to fit you. Then you can actually get a decent sleep and you won't be exhausted for your test."
Alexander Smythe
'I know I don't have to do it. I do it because I want to do it. I can't risk you going out of business.' he said simply. He'd grown up with money; it had never posed any kind of problem for him and even when he left home, he had the inheritance he'd been left by his grandparents. He'd spent more time with them than either of his siblings and had reaped the rewards of his kindness after their passing. Money wasn't a problem for him and he made a point of sharing it amongst his friends as and when the opportunity presented itself.
He visibly brightened at the idea of staying at Blaine's apartment overnight. His mind drifted to images of a sleepy Blaine making coffee in the kitchen, clad only in his boxers and he was sold. 'You're so little though Blaine. I don't think anything you own would fit me.' he teased fondly. 'If I stay, can I be the little spoon?'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine shook his head fondly again, but said no more about it. He knew Alex, and he knew how stubborn he was. There was very little point in arguing with him and it was a kind gesture. When you were living entirely off your own money, every single dollar helped so he couldn't complain. He was from a rich family, but none had helped him since he left his hometown, too embarrassed by him being trans. Well, that was their issue, not his. He was getting by just fine.
"I probably have some of Cooper's clothes from when he stayed over," Blaine said with a shrug. "You guys are about the same height, I think they'll fit you. I was planning on sleeping on the couch though, so you could have the bed. But... I mean, if you're not opposed to sharing a bed with me, I don't mind. I think you may be a little tall to be little spoon," he added with a laugh.
Alexander Smythe
Cooper. That name had been thrown about on occasion but he'd never been able to glean enough information to learn who exactly he was. He wasn't going to give anyone the satisfaction of asking the question outright however. Perhaps it gave him an advantage, Blaine clearly preferred people taller if Cooper was the same height.
'Fuck that tiny bean.' he scoffed. 'I'm not having you sleep on the couch in your own home. I will share your bed or I will sleep on the couch.' he said firmly, only reluctantly adding the latter part of the sentence. 'And also, fuck your size-ist judgement. Tall people need love too. It gets lonely up here in the clouds.' he joked, laughing easily. He was quite aware he sounded ridiculous but Blaine laughing was a rather delightful sound and he intended to cause it at every opportunity.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine laughed, and loudly too, at being called 'tiny bean'. He knew he was tiny, especially next to Alex, but he secretly loved it. He shook his head at his words and gripped at his arm tighter to show he was joking. The walk to and from the bakery wasn't long, but Blaine didn't live in the nicest of neighbourhoods, what with paying for everything himself, so he was secretly glad to have some company with him.
"We can share a bed, it's okay. I just wasn't sure how you'd feel about it. Hey! I didn't mean tall people don't need love. I simply meant I'm tiny, can I even reach around you? You're muscly and tall, it's just unfair," Blaine said with another laugh, shaking his head as they turned a corner. "I'm glad you decided to walk me home. It's kinda creepy around here sometimes."
Alexander Smythe
'And now that I've seen where you live, you can rest assured that I'm going to walk you home every night or foot the bill for a cab.' His voice was hard, firm. He was trying very hard not to judge his friend. He knew he didn't have the same money he had at his disposal and somewhere a little run down wouldn't have phased him but Blaine's neighbourhood looked dangerous. 'Don't argue with me about it.' he added immediately, hearing Blaine's protest in his mind. 'Because I will win if only because I am infinitely more stubborn than you are and I'm literally going to school to learn how to argue professionally.' he reminded him.
Blaine Anderson
"It's not that bad here," Blaine said, rolling his eyes. "I can't let you walk me home every single night or pay for a taxi, that's ridiculous. It's not a bad walk. And eventually I'll have a car of my own so it won't be so bad." He rolled his eyes again at the other when he told him not to argue and reminded him why he was going to college. "Yeah, yeah, you get to be a big bad lawyer and get paid to argue while I fuel your sugar addiction," he teased. "But in all seriousness, it's not that bad here. I just keep my head down when I'm out and it's fine. My neighbours are such lovely people."
Alexander Smythe
'I'm sure they are.' he agreed a little stiffly. 'But regardless, I will literally sit at the bakery every night until closing unless you agree. Keeping your head down doesn't always mean you'll be safe tiny bean and I rather enjoy you being safe.' he explained. He pulled Blaine a little closer to his side. Protecting him was why he'd stayed so late, why he'd cancelled with the guy he was supposed to meet and so he really should make a point of doing exactly that.
'Where's your building?' he asked. 'Is it nearby?' It was more of an attempt to change the subject than anything else; he didn't want to dwell on the minor disagreement. He'd much rather think about the fact that the sooner they reached Blaine's apartment, the sooner he'd be tucked into his bed.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine shook his head fondly again, though he couldn't deny he loved how protective the other was being, especially when he was pulled closer to his side. There were a few people hanging around outside his apartment building, some he recognised and some he didn't. One of them was the child of one of his neighbours and greeted Blaine gruffly. "Hey, Anderson, another late night at the bakery?" He said, causing Blaine to nod at him and shrug. "Yeah, and you know I'll be out bright and early tomorrow morning as well. Tell your mom I'll be over on Sunday with the usual," he said brightly, giving the group a wave as he and Alex made their way into the building. "Oh, the elevator is broken. And I live on the sixth floor, so I hope you're okay with climbing," Blaine said, tugging him closer so they could begin walking up the stairs.
Alexander Smythe
He bit his tongue. Hard. He didn't like where Blaine was living. The whole thing seemed unsafe to him but he knew how much Blaine loved his home. He knew he loved it because it was entirely his and he didn't want to badmouth it too much. He would however be making some sort of anonymous donation to have the elevator fixed. Six flights of stairs alone in the dark was an unnecessary danger.
'Please, you don't have a body like mine without working out. Climbing six flights is a warm-up.' He laughed. He reached down to lace his fingers with Blaine instead of just linking arms and he almost pulled him upstairs in his attempt to show off.
Blaine Anderson
"A warm up, huh?" Blaine said, laughing. "Boy, I've been doing this every single day for three years, this is second nature to me. Apparently the elevator hasn't worked here in forever. It hasn't worked the entire time I've been here. I managed to move in without it. Although back then, I didn't even have a bed," he added thoughtfully. Blaine grinned when Alex laced their fingers together and squeezed his hand gently as they walked. It was nice, to walk up with him like this, and he actually liked spending time with the other.
Thankfully it didn't take them long to reach the apartment and Blaine unlocked the door, letting them inside. He closed the door when they were inside and locked it, tossing his keys onto the table and hanging his coat up. "I hope you like Asian food, because that's what I was planning on having for dinner," he called as he made his way through to the tiny kitchen. "I usually do a meal prep at the start of the week and throw things in the microwave when I get home. Usually it's later than this so I don't eat much. You hungry?"
Alexander Smythe
'I pretty much ate an entire cake while I was studying earlier.' he confessed with a sheepish smile, as he shrugged his coat from his shoulders. 'But I could probably eat something. Especially if there's some spice to it. Don't fucking tell me you can actually cook too.' He continued disbelievingly.
He followed him through to the kitchen, dropping his bag along the hallway and found a spot he could sit in comfortably. 'You're letting me stay here though. I should probably buy you dinner or something to say thank you.' he suggested, forcing himself to look away from Blaine to seem as casual as possible. 'Perhaps you could join me one night when you've worked up more of an appetite?'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine laughed at the disbelief that followed his offer, shrugging his shoulders. He'd always loved cooking and it was something he and his mom used to do when he was younger. But right now, he didn't want to dwell on what things had been like before. Because he was here, with his friend, and he was happy. It didn't matter if his parents didn't quite accept him. He was doing just fine on his own.
"I grew up cooking," Blaine said, reaching for two portions of the food he'd made earlier in the week and putting them in the microwave to heat up. "My mom and her entire family are from the Philippines so Asian food is kind of in my blood." He grinned when the microwave beeped and set the portions into two bowls, handing one to Alex. "You want to take me to dinner? You don't have to do that just because I'm letting you stay here. You've already done so much for me."
Alexander Smythe
He pulled his legs up to sit cross-legged on the chair. It looked awkward but it was comfortable and he took the food gratefully. 'This smells amazing.' he sighed, bringing the bowl to his nose and breathing in sharply. 'I'm gonna have to have you open up a restaurant now too. I'll never have to be concerned about how I'm going to feed myself again.'
It was as though Blaine had called his bluff. Of course he wasn't really offering to take him to dinner for offering to give him somewhere to crash for the night. He thought about his best course of action and decided honesty was it. 'So here's the deal tiny bean,' he said. 'I think you're really fucking hot. And more than that, I like you as a person. You indulge my antics and you make me laugh. So yes, I would like to take you out to dinner. On a date.' It was out there now and he couldn't take it back. It felt freeing to have let it out but he also felt incredibly vulnerable. He didn't really ask people out, ever.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine couldn't help but grin when Alex commented on the food, blushing a little as he settled in his own chair, beginning to eat slowly. It was nice to know that the other liked his food this much and certainly made him feel good about himself. "I don't know how I'd feel about running a restaurant," he said honestly. "I think a bakery is quite enough and my cooking can be saved for people I care about."
A date? Alex wanted to take him on a date? Blaine nearly dropped his bowl at the thought and he chewed his food slowly, as though trying to think about how to respond. He absolutely wanted to go on a date with the other, of course he did. But he hadn't even told him he was trans yet. What if Alex was less attracted to him for it? "Okay," Blaine said before he could stop himself. "Okay, let's go on a date. When were you thinking? I don't open the bakery on Sundays, so I'm free all day. And I get to finish pretty early on Saturday because of it."
Alexander Smythe
'Wait, are you serious?' He hadn't really expected him to say yes. Yes was - Well, it was everything. 'You're really going to go on a date with me? And it's not a pity date?' he asked. 'Because I've been flirting with you for weeks and you give me nothing back Blaine. I mean, a smarter man would have thrown in the towel because it seemed so hopeless.' He was rambling and he was very aware of the fact.
His cheeks pinked slightly as he brought his verbal unload to a firm stop. 'I think Saturday night would be the best time.' he suggested because with the bakery being closed the next day, there was the potential for a lazy Sunday morning in bed. 'I'll pick you up after work and we can have a late dinner. I won't take you somewhere Asian before your food is better than any I've had in the city and yes, it's a date. Perfect.' he nodded.
Blaine Anderson
Rambling. Alexander Smythe was rambling and Blaine thought it was the cutest thing in the world. He couldn't help but give him another smile, reaching across the table for his hand to calm him down. "It's not a pity date," he said honestly. "I've noticed you flirting with me, of course I have. But... I haven't been with anyone in a long time, dating or otherwise. Since before..." before I came out. Blaine didn't finish his sentence though, mentally shaking himself. "It's been a long time. And I don't want to disappoint you or anything."
Blaine couldn't help but smile and nod at his words. He had a date. On Saturday night. He couldn't quite believe this was happening and felt his cheeks turn pink as he ducked his head to continue eating slowly. "You don't have to take me anywhere fancy, I'm more than happy to simply spend an evening with you, Alex."
Alexander Smythe
'You've spent an evening with me tonight and I couldn't even tempt you to try and kiss me earlier.' he pointed out after swallowing his food. 'I'm hoping if I wow you, you might indulge that particular desire of mine.' He grinned. He could see the blush on Blaine's cheeks and it provided a much needed confidence boost. Blaine was as nervous as he was and that set his nerves at ease.
He put his feet on the floor and shuffled his chair closer to Blaine, allowing legs to simply brush against one another. 'I don't care that it's been a while.' he nodded. 'I'm just glad you're breaking that habit with me and not some other fool.' That did thrill him. Whatever had Blaine not dating was worth ignoring for a date with him.
Blaine Anderson
"You wanted to kiss me earlier?" Blaine said, freezing halfway through raising his next bite to his mouth. He slowly lowered his fork back down and worried his lower lip through his teeth as he thought back. He hadn't even realised the other had wanted to kiss him and suddenly, he felt embarrassed.
Blaine was brought out of his thoughts by Alex moving closer to him and letting their legs touch gently. The simple action startled him and he looked up at him, unable to stop himself from smiling nervously. "It's just... a little difficult to date when you're... me," he said slowly, turning back to his dinner so he wouldn't get into it. Not yet. Blaine finished his bowl of food and got to his feet to rinse it, leaning against the counter. "Sorry, I know I've been rather awkward this evening."
Alexander Smythe
He followed him to the sink, finished with his own bowl and set it down on the draining board. 'You're not awkward. You're Blaine.' he shrugged. He ached to close the distance between them but he didn't. There was obviously a reason Blaine seemed so nervous tonight and he didn't want to push his luck any more than he already had.
Except, he never had been particularly good at settling. 'You know I want to kiss you now. Can I?' The question hung in the air and although there was silence, he didn't feel awkward. He never really felt awkward around Blaine. He didn't attempt to clarify that nothing else would happen. He trusted Blaine knew him well enough to know he wouldn't push for anything other than what Blaine was willing to let him have.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine didn't reply to the comment, watching Alex rinse the bowl and thanking him quietly. The question took him by surprise and he froze. He really did want to kiss him? Blaine could hardly believe it. He was so frightened of what would happen but he was still nodding before he could stop himself, leaning up to close the distance between their lips and kiss him softly. He made sure the kiss was soft, tender, and it didn't last very long before Blaine was pulling back, smiling shyly up at him.
Without a word, he reached for his hand and led him through the small, but cosy apartment, towards the bedroom so he could rummage in his drawers and pull out some of Cooper's clothes, setting them on the chair. "I'm sure they'll be your size," he said, cheeks still pink. "But they're there for the morning so at least you know you'll be set. Do... Do you want any pyjamas? I usually just sleep in sweatpants."
Alexander Smythe
The kiss was sweet. It was soft and all he could smell was Blaine. Before he could loop his arms around his waist, or really kiss him back, the smaller man was backing away with a smile that only increased his desire to kiss him. He didn't. He'd gotten a little of what he wanted and it had seemed like a considerable move for his friend. He could content himself with that. It was reassuring to know he wasn't out of the game and that kissing Blaine had felt as good as he'd imagined.
He allowed himself to be led back to his bedroom and found he couldn't resist looking around. The room was very Blaine. 'I normally sleep nude.' he answered truthfully and continued before that could frighten Blaine off. 'But I can do boxers of sweatpants if that makes you more comfortable.' He closed the space between them, and reached out to give his waist a small squeeze. 'I can sleep on the couch if you're uncomfortable. It's different sharing a bed with a friend than sharing with someone you know is interested in you.' he said gently. 'I won't be offended if you'd rather keep your room to yourself.' he promised.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine was shaking his head immediately at the suggestion of sleeping on the couch. He didn't mind sharing the bed with Alex. He knew nothing would happen between them tonight because Blaine still hadn't told him the truth. "I wouldn't feel right making you sleep on the couch. Don't be ridiculous, we can both sleep in the bed."
As he spoke, Blaine unbuttoned his shirt and put it into the laundry hamper. He turned his back on Alex as he stepped out of his jeans and quickly reached for a pair of sweatpants, pulling them on. Blaine climbed into bed, watching Alex. "You can sleep in your underwear, I don't mind," he said, getting comfortable in his bed. "And we can still spoon."
Alexander Smythe
He tried not to watch Blaine undress. He physically had to turn away so he wouldn't be tempted but he didn't feel right looking without permission. He didn't care if Blaine watched him but he didn't make a show of it either. He folded his clothes and placed them over the back of the chair before he climbed into the bed next to him.
'I think you should be the little spoon tonight.' he invited, lifting his arm to allow Blaine to make himself comfortable. As much as he liked being the little spoon on occasions, he didn't trust himself to tuck his face against Blaine's chest and not press kisses to his skin. 'I hope you're not gonna wake me in the morning little bean. Not all of us can rise with the sun and be as sunshiney as you are.' he chuckled.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine watched the other climb into the bed, smiling a little as he did so. He raised his eyebrow at the suggestion but didn't protest, easily tucking himself into Alex's side and sighing a little. "I'll try my best not to wake you," he said with a soft laugh, a hand coming up to rest on Alex's bare chest. "If you want me to wake you by a certain time, I will. If not, there's a spare key in the hallway, you can just take that one with you to lock up."
Alexander Smythe
This wasn't unusual. They'd cuddled before. Alexander enjoyed wrapping the smaller man up in his arms; it was the way he behaved with most of his friends. He was known for and teased for always seeking out some sort of physical contact with the people around him. Except, it did feel a little unusual now. This was more intimate that anything they'd done before and it both unnerved and excited him.
'My exam is at nine so I really need to be out of here by eight at the latest so I can get across town in time.' he yawned, his eyes fascinated at the way Blaine's hand rested so comfortably on his chest. 'But you're long gone by then so I'll rely on my alarm and I'll drop your spare key back to you in the afternoon.'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine nodded, cuddling in closer to the other man. He trusted him, trusted him in his apartment and it was a strange feeling. He was comfortable like this, laying with Alex and he closed his eyes as he relaxed. "Yeah, that's fine. You can drop it to me whenever, I don't mind," he said, leaning up closer to him. He kissed the underside of his jaw and hummed happily, enjoying being close to him.
Alexander Smythe
'See now if you keep kissing me like that bean, I'm gonna want to roll over and make-out with you until your lips are bruised.' he teased, although he lifted his head a little more as he spoke, granting Blaine more access to leave previously mentioned kisses. 'Something tells me, you're not very keen on that happening which I don't understand but accept.' he assured him quickly, allowing his fingers to trace a picture over Blaine's shoulder. He wasn't an animal. He was perfectly capable of controlling himself when he needed to but he didn't really want to tempt himself any more than simply laying here with his friend already did. 'We should sleep. We both have relatively early mornings and a busy day tomorrow.'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine laughed quietly at his words, leaning up to pepper kisses along his jawline. He made no effort to stop, his hand still resting on his chest. "I don't mind kissing you," he said, looking up at Alex. "I actually quite like it. I'm just a little nervous." Blaine nodded reluctantly at the mention of sleep but made no effort to move, still kissing along his neck and smiling against him. "I'm used to early mornings. But it's okay if you aren't."
Alexander Smythe
His only response was to shift, rolling over so that his knees were either side of Blaine's waist. 'I did warn you little bean.' he remarked, arching a brow as he looked down at him. 'Between you peppering those chaste little kisses and being so fucking pretty, how's a guy to resist?' He seemed entirely too small to rest his weight against him so he kept himself braced on his knees, flattening his palm against the pillow for extra balance as he leaned closer to his friend. 'Is this okay?' he asked, his breath fanning out over Blaine's lips.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine gasped as Alex rolled over, looking up at him and swallowing hard. He didn't know what he was doing. Was this leading Alex on? He hadn't told him his secret and if the other found out, he may not be attracted to him anymore. And that'd only hurt because Blaine was definitely interested in Alex. He'd even said yes to going on a date with him, for crying out loud. He never did anything like that.
"Y-Yes," he said quietly, suddenly aware of how close their lips were. His hand came up to run over the other's bare chest, glancing down at his own for a moment and blushing. It'd been years since he'd had his top surgery, his grandmother and Cooper having helped pay for it, and his scar had faded considerably, but he was still uncomfortably aware of it. Alex hadn't seemed to notice it, though. "Y-Yes, this is okay."
Alexander Smythe
He closed the gap he'd left between them and caught Blaine's lips in a hungry kiss. He'd been waiting months to act on this particular desire and it didn't seem real. It didn't feel like it was actually happening. His hand cupped his cheek, holding his head exactly where he wanted him as he assaulted his lips. He sucked his lower lip between his own and resisted the urge to roll his hips down for some friction.
'So fucking pretty.' he repeated when he pulled back to catch his breath. 'Why haven't we been doing this for months Bean?' he laughed. He nipped at Blaine's earlobe before nuzzling against his neck, peppering kisses. His free hand slid from his waist, over his chest and he frowned when he felt the slightly raised scar tissue. He didn't ask about it but it felt like it must have hurt.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine couldn't help but groan softly at the passionate kiss that came from Alex. The hand on his cheek was commanding but gentle and he felt his heart soar. Why wasn't this a thing? Why couldn't it be simpler? Blaine was afraid of rejection and that was the real reason he'd kept quiet. But he couldn't dwell on it, not now. Not when he had Alex on top of him like this.
"You're ridiculous," Blaine breathed at the compliment, his cheeks going slightly pink. "I... I don't know. I guess I'm just oblivious? I didn't think you'd be interested in someone like me. I told you, I haven't really dated in a while," he said quietly, groaning a little again at the kisses to his neck. A hand moved along his torso and he shivered beneath him, an arm wrapping around him to hold him closer. "This isn't really the norm for me, you know."
Alexander Smythe
'Don't stop talking to me.' he requested, pulling back so that he could actually meet Blaine's gaze. 'Tell me what's okay. Where can I touch you? Where can I kiss you?' The last thing he wanted to do was upset the other. He was considerably more than a crush, more important that a little flirting. Blaine mattered to him in a way only a handful of people did and he'd never forgive himself if he pushed a boundary because he was too caught up in the moment to ask.
Blaine Anderson
"I... Okay," he said carefully, biting his lower lip as he thought. "I don't... think I'm ready for anything... below the waist? I mean... God, I want to touch you but... I'm so nervous about you... about anyone..." Blaine trailed off, rubbing his hand through his curls frustratedly. "You can kiss me anywhere, I don't want you to stop kissing me because it's so fucking hot."
Alexander Smythe
'Relax babe.' he soothed, unable to hold back his smile at the slight ramble of Blaine's reply. 'You can touch me however you want. I'm yours to explore.' he assured him gently, giving his lips a soft peck to punctuate his sentence. The notion that he was nervous about anyone below his waist gave him pause.
'Are you a virgin Blaine? Is that why you don't want - Because it's totally cool if you are.' he assured him as soon as the question had left his lips. If Blaine was a virgin, it would explain a lot. The idea of being the first of anything for anyone was daunting and he didn't know if he had it in him to be the caring and gentle experience a person deserved. 'Would you be more comfortable on top?'
Blaine Anderson
Blaine's cheeks turned a bright red at the question. He wasn't a virgin, not really. In high school he'd slept with people to try and squash down his feelings. He'd tried to pretend he wasn't trans and it hadn't worked. But he hadn't slept with anyone since his transition, so in that sense, he supposed he was a virgin.
"I'm not a virgin," he said quietly, swallowing hard. "But I haven't been with anyone since coming here. I've just... been too busy," he lied quickly, biting his lip before nodding. Maybe it would be better for him to be on top here. That way, he had a little bit more control and Blaine rolled them over, so he was settled on Alex's lap, straddling him easily before leaning down to kiss him again, a lot harder this time.
Alexander Smythe
He slid his hands over Blaine’s thighs, and groaned against his lips when he kissed him again. This kiss made up for the lack of passion in the one they’d shared in the kitchen. Unable to resist, he rolled his hips upwards just to feel something more, and it proved to be a very good decision. Insisting on walking Blaine home was paying off in spades.
One hand left his thigh to close around the back of his neck and he allowed his tongue to tangle with his friend’s. Were they still friends? Would this change things before he’d even booked them a table for dinner? ‘You cane here three years ago Bean. No-one’s that fucking busy. I’m not complaining though.’ He mumbled between messy kisses. ‘Their loss is my gain.’
Blaine Anderson
Blaine gasped when Alex rolled his hips upwards for pressure. There were hands resting on his thighs and he felt nervous, though he wasn't sure why. He could barely focus on that though, his nerves slowly ebbing away as Alex's hand moved to the back of his neck so he could make their kiss deeper.
The mumbled words had Blaine blushing furiously and he looked away for a moment. No, no one was that busy. Blaine was just too nervous to tell any potential partners about himself, which was why he hadn't pursued anything. "Some people are too busy," he said against Alex's lips, pulling away for a moment. "You're making me throw all of my rules out of the window here, Smythe. I don't usually make a habit of straddling hot guys and trying my damn best to resist touching them beneath the waist."
Alexander Smythe
‘I don’t know why you’re resisting. I told you you could touch me anywhere you wanted.’ He reminded him, grinning, now armed with the knowledge that Blaine was breaking his own rules. His blood flow had diverted considerably more southward and he was glad he’d had the mind to ask questions before they went any further. He hooked his fingers in the waistband of his boxers and motioned to rid himself of the offending material. He couldn’t; not with Blaine positioned where he was and he did enough to show his intentions. He wasn’t embarrassed to be naked and he wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity for Blaine to touch him.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine wasn't an idiot. He could feel he telltale signs of arousal beneath him and knew Alex was starting to get hard. Just from kissing Blaine? It didn't sound right to him, but he didn't comment on it. He wanted to touch him, god he wanted to. He'd always been someone who enjoyed giving others pleasure and this would be no different. But would Alex still want to go on their date if he did this?
There were hands at the waistband of his underwear and Blaine simply nodded, climbing off the other so he could rid himself of them. He brought his hands forward to help the other remove his final layer, leaving him naked in front of him. Blaine almost groaned at the sight of him naked. He really was gorgeous and he glanced up at Alex's face, smiling a little nervously. His hand moved, palming over his length, just giving enough pressure to feel good. Blaine leaned up to kiss his neck again, swallowing hard. "Can... C-Can I suck your cock, Alex?" He asked in a rough voice, nipping at his skin. "W-Want to make you feel good."
Alexander Smythe
He had to admit it baffled him somewhat. Here was Blaine who said it had been so long since he was with anyone, Blaine who didn’t want any below the waist action; how was that the same Blaine who was breathing roughly against his skin and stuttering out a desire to suck his cock? It baffled him and he really didn’t know what the right response was. It seemed insane to turn the offer down.
His length had really only started to stir under Blaine’s attention and the idea of him sucking until he was fully aroused was intoxicating. But then he wasn’t sure if he could go through with that and not return the favour? He’d indulgently describe himself as the furthest thing from a selfish lover. His hand twisted in the curls at the back of Blaine’s head, he gave a light tug, pulling him back so he could look at him. ‘You know you don’t have to offer that Bean. You said nothing below the waist and that’s okay. I’m happy just making out.’ He said with a laugh. ‘Don’t let the fact that I’m more - excited - by the idea than you are make you feel you have to do something.’
Blaine Anderson
Blaine groaned in frustration when Alex pulled his head back so their eyes met. He frowned a little at the words and sighed. He wanted to do this, he just wasn't sure if he could deal with Alex touching him. The thought of him doing so and being disgusted was too much.
"I want to do this," he said lowly, adding a little more pressure to his length and pressing kisses along his chest. "I said nothing below the waist for me. As in, you touching me there. But I really want to touch you. I don't feel like I have to do anything, I want to."
Alexander Smythe
He held his gaze for a minute longer before nodding. 'I did tell you there were no restrictions in where you could touch, what you could do.' he remarked with a smile. He rolled his hips up into Blaine's hand, moving them in small circles so he could grind against his palm.
'I bet you'll look twice as pretty with you lips around my cock.' Honestly, he couldn't believe his luck. It had to be luck because as Blaine had reminded him, this wasn't his norm. It was the norm for Alexander, who loved sex and was very open about the fact but sex, or anything that resembled it with Blaine was more than a conquest to talk about with friends.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine couldn't help but smirk when Alex rolled his hips upwards into his palm, only pressing down a little firmer in response. His cheeks flushed at the words but he said nothing as he kissed down Alex's chest, nipping at the skin there before he was level with his cock. It was hard and flushed against Alex's abdomen and Blaine bit his lip, eager to make the other feel good.
"Tell me if you want me to stop, okay?" He said softly. Blaine reached for Alex's hand to lace their fingers together, using his other one to grip the base of his cock and slowly sink his mouth around the head, teasing him slightly.
Alexander Smythe
‘I really don’t anticipate wanting you to st-‘ the last word was broken by a surprised moan falling from his lips. Despite keeping his eyes in the other man, he hadn’t quite expected him to so immediately and so easily take the flushed tip of his length into his mouth.
His mouth was warm, inviting and Alex didn’t want to be teased. He wanted to roll his hips up hard and fucking Blaine’s throat but he didn’t. He let Blaine move at his own pace, thoroughly and vocally enjoying all the attention he lavished upon him. If he were to have his way, there would be plenty of time for anything else at a later date.
Blaine Anderson
Alex's moan had Blaine groaning in response, taking more of him into his mouth before he began to bob his head, stroking over what he hadn't quite reached yet. This was one of his favourite things to do, it always had been, because he loved to hear how he made someone feel.
Blaine wanted, more than anything, to just be able to climb on Alex's lap and ride him. But he couldn't. Not yet. Instead, he focused on moving his mouth other him, glancing at him through his lashes to see just how amazing he looked.
Alexander Smythe
His fingers carefully twisted into Blaine’s curls. Carefully because he didn’t want to pull or tug too roughly. He didn’t know what Blaine liked and he didn’t want to let anything upset this moment. This perfect moment that had his friend nestled between his legs and doing the most sinful things with his mouth.
He arched his back and pushed his hips up just a fraction. ‘Fucking hell Pretty. Your mouth is -‘ It was another sentence that went unfinished and he collapsed back against the sheets and allowed his eyes to fall closed and lose himself in the physical sensations overwhelming him.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine moaned softly as he felt the gentle grip in his hair. Okay, that felt good and only turned him on even more, which didn't help his situation. The words had him moaning softly and he loved how it felt when Alex pushed his hips upwards. Blaine groaned again and took more of him into his mouth, sinking down completely until he felt could the tip of his cock at the back of his throat, nose pressed against his naval. Blaine moaned around him and pulled back, almost completely, before repeating the actions again, setting a rhythm for himself.
Alexander Smythe
He grunted roughly when his cock nudged the back of Blaine’s throat and he had no control as his hands tugged rougher than intended on Blaine’s curls. ‘S-shit sorry Bean. But holy fuck.’ He groaned roughly. He didn’t have the opportunity to get used to it because suddenly Blaine was bobbing his head and his cock was hitting his throat every time.
He applied a little pressure to his head once he’d loosened his grip, encouraging him to try and go a little faster. He was painfully embarrassed but just how this whole experience aroused him so completely. Blaine’s name fell from his lips in a rough growl and he forced himself to sit up, bracing himself with one hand behind him so he could fully admire Blaine and the way he sunk over his cock.
Blaine Anderson
A low groan left Blaine at the tugging on his curls and he hummed gently at the apology, as though to tell Alex it was okay, that he didn't mind. He loved this, loved how eager Alex seemed to be and felt him sit up, glancing up at him again. Suddenly Blaine was very aware that he was still in his sweatpants and he wished he could just strip off for the other. But he couldn't and forced himself to think of anything else, bobbing his head faster along his length and squeezing his hand gently.
Alexander Smythe
Watching someone so intently, while their only goal was to bring him pleasure, was hot. Indescribably so. He desperately hoped Blaine would let him return the favour because of the rest of him looked this good, he could only imagine how good he’d look pinned underneath him as he sucked his dick.
‘Shit I’m embarrassingly close.’ He warned, feeling his stomach tighten and coil with every brush against Blaine’s throat. He wanted this to last longer. He wasn’t nearly ready for the experience to stop.
Blaine Anderson
The words only had him humming in response. He was glad Alex was close because god, Blaine was determined to make him cum. He glanced up at him and winked before continuing the pace he'd set up, Alex's length hitting his throat every time he bobbed his head down.
Blaine could feel how aroused he was and he groaned softly, closing his eyes. He ground his hips down against the pillows without realising it, just to get some form of friction and moaned loudly around Alex's cock.
Alexander Smythe
His orgasm washed over him with only a little more build-up. Blaine’s name was on his lips as he shallowly rocked his hips up, coming out in a rough moan as he sought to ride out every second of his climax. He kept his hands on Blaine’s hair, hoping the light pressure would encourage him to keep sucking him through, to swallow around him without applying so much that he was forced to do that. He wanted him to want it.
‘You are something else Blaine Anderson.’ He breathed, running his hand through his own slightly sweat damp hair. ‘Fucking hell, and earlier tonight I was thinking I didn’t have a chance of kissing you.’ He shook his head disbelievingly and flashed him a grin as he righted himself. ‘I really wish you’d let me return the favour.’
Blaine Anderson
It was easy for him to tell when Alex was close. His hips trembled and his moans were a little higher. And when his orgasm hit, Blaine moaned around him and swallowed with ease, determined not to let anything spill from his lips. As he swallowed, he rolled his hips down again to get a little pressure on himself and whimpered.
Blaine pulled off when Alex was done, blushing slightly at the words. He gave him a nervous smile and ran a hand through his curls, flopping onto the bed beside him, curled into his side again. "It's late, and we both have early starts tomorrow," Blaine said weakly. "It's okay. Another time, Alex. Did you enjoy yourself?"
Alexander Smythe
He leaned down, twisting so that he could kiss Blaine properly despite the position they were in. He’d been told before it was absolutely filthy to kiss someone after they’d blown him but he always felt it was the very least he could do. There was something enticing about being able to taste yourself in someone else’s lips. ‘
But I really want to touch you.’ He confessed. ‘I think it’s pretty clear I enjoyed myself. Doesn’t feel right that I don’t get to make you experience the same enjoyment.’ He pushed a little. He desperately wanted to touch Blaine, to feel him writhe underneath him, but he wouldn’t go too far. Just enough to make his desire evident. His hand moved to rest on Blaine’s lower stomach as he spoke, achingly close to where he wanted to touch him. ‘I really want this. But I won’t push it if you’re really not comfortable.’
Blaine Anderson
Blaine groaned softly against Alex's lips as he kissed him, his eyes slipping closed. When they pulled back, Blaine swallowed nervously and his cheeks turned red. How could he say no without seeming like an asshole? He wanted to, of course he did. But he was scared.
"Next time," Blaine whispered, glancing down at the hand in his stomach and holding his breath. "I enjoyed myself, I thought that was obvious. You're so freaking hot. But it's late, Alex. And this was about you feeling good, not the other way around."
Alexander Smythe
He stroked his thumb back and forth over Blaine's stomach, not moving his hand from where it rested. For a fraction of a second, he contemplated sliding his hand down a little further. Perhaps just brushing him over his sweatpants would be enough to entice him into wanting more but he knew that would be wrong. It was nothing more than a fleeting thought and he felt awful for even thinking it.
'Next time.' he echoed. 'I'm going to hold you to that. Next time, I'm going to blow your mind Bean.' he grinned brightly, stealing another quick kiss.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine had to admit, it was painfully hard to resist. But he couldn't just spring it on Alex. He had to find the time to tell him. He vowed to the next time they saw each other, before their date. He'd have to. If he started to let himself feel even more then he already did and Alex rejected him? Blaine would be heartbroken. After all, this was the first time he'd let himself do anything since he'd come out and moved to San Francisco. He'd chosen this city in particular due to the heavy LGBT community.
"I'm sure you will," Blaine replied, Alex's kiss bringing him out of his thoughts. He curled in closer to him, trying to ignore the ache of his own arousal and pressed a gentle kiss to his jaw. "But we really should sleep now. You have a test tomorrow, after all."

Lost in the castle, Joseph meets a friendly face… one that Jessica knows all-too-well.
[ ↶ Prev. Story | ← Prev. Chapter | Next Chapter → | Next Story ↷ ]
The moon rose high, full as a rain barrel after a heavy storm and bright as Muramasa City at night. Somewhere in the woods outside of Talwar Village… two individuals had arrived outside of a pleasant-looking manor. One knew what lay within those walls, but they weren’t telling. It was only after the slip of a tongue that the other learned the truth; that the manor belonged to Count Arturo Moretti, Lord of the Moretti Clan of Vampires… someone that one of them did not have a good relationship. Once that fact had been revealed, he made haste to find the exit, wanting nothing to do with the vampire’s manor.
“Un-freaking-believable,” he muttered to himself as he ran down the stairs leading up to the first floor. “Jessie willingly put me in danger just for a laugh! And, I just went along with it, like a dope! Seriously, I should’ve known something was up by the time we got here– no, I should’ve known something was up when she said ‘spooky manor.’ How many ‘spooky manors’ could she possibly know about? Granted, my first thought wasn’t exactly ‘The Manor of Count Moretti…’ but, still. I didn’t think she’d do something so completely stupid! Doesn’t she know Count Moretti hates me? I wish he didn’t… Shoot, I just want to be friends with everyone… It’s not my fault Jessie likes me more than she likes the Count… I’m sure if he’d just stop being dramatic, for two seconds, she’d warm up to him, and… haven’t… I passed by this same painting three times, now?”
Joseph was pulled from his thoughts as he slowed down, taking in his surroundings. “And, actually, I don’t remember there being so many stairs. Thirty-two, at most. But, Jessie only dragged me up one flight… And, uh… where… did the front door go? In fact, where’d the entire ground floor, go?” Indeed, he was in a place he didn’t recognize – a much smaller hallway with no fewer doors than the ground floor he’d previously seen. “What is this place? Oh, what the Void…” He paused, then blinked. “W-wait, where’d the stairs go?!” The fox spun around. He was sure his hand was on a railing, seconds prior… Yet, he saw absolutely no rail, nor the stairs it was supposed to be connected to. “Jessie wasn’t kidding about getting lost! Forget retracing my steps! I can’t go backward if ‘backward’ doesn’t exist, anymore!”
Joseph felt himself starting to panic. He took several moments to breathe, trying to clear his head of the metaphorical cobwebs… Once he was calmer, he got an idea. “Okay, I’ll just call Jessie, and–” Unfortunately… “There’s… no signal in here. Of course not.” His clam-style phone couldn’t get a signal. “Hmph. Bet if I had Jessie’s phone, I could get a signal. Why do ‘retro-style’ phones have to have ‘retro-style’ phone signal strength, too…?” Shortly after that plan fizzled, he folded his phone and put it back in his pocket, then crossed his arms and gave a bit more thought to his situation. “Well, when you get lost, the normal thing to do is to just sit and wait. But… this place is hardly what I’d call ‘normal.’ Plus, the last thing I want is to be found by Count Moretti, if he’s around! So, uh… I guess my only option is to walk around. See what I can find… At least if I’m wandering and see the Count, I can try and book it. Well… onward.”
Joseph moved forward, decidedly avoiding contact with any suits of armor, statues, and painting that he could. He’d seen enough horror movies to remember the clichés, like armor that came to life, or paintings that reach out and grab you. Still, as he walked from one hall and into another, he couldn’t help but stop and admire the decor to some degree…
“This painting…” he mused to himself. “Isn’t this that raccoon lady from that bar?” Situated between-and-above two small tables with some lovely flowers was a portrait of what appeared to be the authoress, Serenade Rankins. She was wearing a nice, calm smile and appeared to be sitting on a comfy-looking chair. Her arms extended out-of-frame, but it seemed like a reasonable guess that her hands were resting in her lap, given her seated pose. “Whoever did this painting really captured her good side. I remember how pretty she was… but, she looks even prettier, in this painting!” He stared at the portrait for a few moments more, half-expecting it to turn into a devil or something… but, all it did was sit there and look lovely. “Well… guess I should get a move on.”
After admiring the painting, Joseph headed to the double-doors at the end of the hall… only to wind up right back in the same hall – albeit, on the other side of the room. He tried doing this a couple more times before getting annoyed and backtracking… only to end up in an entirely different multi-doored hallway with double-doors on each end. “Am I making progress…?” he muttered. “Guh. Fine. We’ll play it your way, house.” With that, he decided to start trying the side doors.
The first door he opened led into a small room with an undressed bed, a wooden dresser, and something tall that was covered by a long cloth. He also noticed there was a window covered by some dark purple drapes. “Let’s see where I ended up…” he sighed as he walked to the window. Opening the drapes revealed that he was on the second floor… but, he was nowhere near anything he could climb onto – not that he was brave enough to try. “Oh, good…” the fox irately thought aloud. “Somehow, I went up instead of down…” He grunted… then, he closed the drapes. “Guess I’ll try a different room…”
After leaving what he assumed to be a guest bedroom, he entered back into the hallway – which was the original hall he started in, somehow – and tried a different door. Unfortunately, the house wasn’t cooperating him and he wound up seeing the same second-floor room he’d seen, before. At least… that’s what he assumed. It had all the same furniture. However, by the sixth door, he decided to walk back in and actually check. Sure enough… “Second floor…” Once again, he pulled the drapes closed and turned around. As he did, something caught his attention… “Wuh?” The fabric covering the tall object had rustled. “Guess I spun too fast, or something…” he commented as he walked over to it.
“So, let me guess…” the fox hummed as he examined the object. “I pull the cloth off of this and end up seeing a mirror that has an evil version of myself in it, right? Well, I don’t want to disappoint the house… Ha… ha… hah – c’mere, you…” Joseph was feeling more-than-annoyed as he whipped the cloth off the object. “Yeah. I figured,” he muttered as he shook his head. It was, indeed, a full-length mirror. “Well, reflection? What’s your game,” he asked the mirror. “Are you gonna trap me in your world? Are you gonna possess me and make me do weird crap? Are you gonna send my reflection out to beat me up? Well? Well…?” Joseph waited… He waited for a few seconds, then he waited for a few moments. After moments became minutes, though, he just sighed and shook his head, again. “Magic house without a magic mirror, huh? That’s… oddly disappointing.” He paused… then, he got a stupid idea.
“Mirror, mirror, on the wall,” he called. “Who’s the fairest of them all?” Once again, he gave the mirror a few minutes to react. And, once again… it did a whole lot of nothing, which didn’t surprise Joseph in the slightest. “On the bright side…” the fox rationalized as he draped the sheet back over the mirror, “I didn’t see some other-dimension version of me, or something I couldn’t resist, or… whatever! As clichéd as that would’ve been, I’m not sure I would’ve been ready to face it. Heh.”
With his curiosity satisfied, he left the room once more and tried a different door. However, instead of finding the same room, again… “Oh, thank the Trinity!” He found himself on the first-floor landing which overlooked the massive entryway. “Now, if the house feels like playing fair,” he commented as he stepped onto the walkway, “I can just walk around this rail, here, and be on my way! Easy as that!” He had to pause, then, as he realized what he’d just said. “I… totally jinxed it, didn’t I?”
Surprisingly, the house apparently did want him to leave, at some point. As he slowly walked toward the right-hand staircase – his left – from what was roughly the middle of the overhang, he didn’t see any duplicated portraits, any extra or missing staircases, or anything that might possibly stop him from reaching his goal! However… he did notice that there was an open door on his left, as he drew close to the stairs. Curiosity once again kept him from continuing and he glanced in only to see another bedroom. Disappointed, he was about to leave it be when he noticed… it wasn’t the same bedroom he’d found seven times prior. Rather, it was a somewhat-larger room, decorated in shades of pink and purple.
The room opened with a lovely, purple throw-rug made of some fancy-looking silks, placed over a soft-looking carpet of pink wool. That led out into a large room which had a vanity dresser to the left and a large wardrobe to the right, each matching the soft colors of the room. Further in, Joseph could see that there appeared to be a chest of some kind situated in front of a large, comfy-looking bed in the corner that had a nightstand beside it and an electric lamp on top. The lamp seemed to be lighting up the area… which led him to his next discovery – a person!
Sitting atop the bedspread was a figure covered in pure white fur – though, one foot looked like it had been dipped in black ink, as did one their hands and the tip of their plush fox tail. They appeared to be wearing a dressing gown – likely, a nightgown – woven in a way that reminded him of spider silk with the way it shimmered in the dim light. It covered the figure from at least their chest to their knees, he noted, but he couldn’t see much else, as the figure was seated against the headboard, legs raised at the knee and arms up with a book in their hands. They seemed very involved with said book, too. Their black-tipped ears hadn’t moved from their upright position, nor did the rest of their body budge even a little. At least… not at first.
Joseph was just about to move on when, suddenly, the figure’s ears twitched and they pulled the book away from their face! He briefly noticed… the fox – visibly female, he noted – had some very lovely curves which were accented by the gown she wore… But, the next thing Joseph saw was the most innocent-looking white fox face he’d ever seen in his life! Slowly, the figure slowly set the book down and turned to one side, pressing their legs together and staring at him with brilliant crimson eyes… eyes that Joseph felt he just could not look away from… For a moment, he thought he’d heard a quiet, high-pitched voice ask him something… but, he couldn’t make out all the words. The only thing that seemed to stick was… “play…” But… that was all it took to get him into the mysterious lady's room. –––––
“Joe? Josey…? Joseph! Where on Ragnarok are ya, kiddo? Mansion ain’t that big!” Jessica had been searching the manor for a good thirty minutes after her companion had vanished from sight. She knew he had to be somewhere… but, she had no idea where. Having been there a few times prior, the girl knew all the right ways to go in order to avoid getting caught in a loop or pulled into a different area of the manor. It also helped that its owner, Count Moretti, allegedly “synchronize her aura” to the magic of the place, “whatever that meant.” In short, she had completely free roam of the household and never really felt too lost or confused as to where she was… something that helps, immensely, when you’re trying to find someone who got lost in the same place.
“Jooosey…” she called in a sing-song sort of way as she checked the second floor. “Where aaare you? I can smell your blood, dah-link!” She giggled a little at her own bad “vampire” accent. “‘least, I could if’n ya bled… Speakin’ of…” she hummed, “I shoul’ give ya a nibble, when we get’cha home. Been a while since I had that sug’ry sauce ‘n my system!”
After exhausting all possible rooms on the second floor, she walked through the far set of double-doors and into the upper foyer to check those rooms. A few minutes later, she found her way back downstairs and decided to check the first floor rooms. “Jus’ gotta r’member which one’s that weird girl’s…” she thought out loud. “I–” Shortly after reaching the landing, however, her ears perked. “What’s that noise? Wait… what’s that smell? A– is that…?” She sniffed the air a couple of times… then, she went wide-eyed! “Joe’s blood! He’s been bleedin’!” She paused before realizing, “Th’ weird girl!! Sh-she must’a foun’ Joe ‘n– oh, haaang on, Joe! Mamma Jessie’s comin’!!”
Jessica was quick to run along the landing and find her way to the door nearest the right-hand stairwell. A second later, she stuck an ear to it and listened in. There were some unfamiliar noises happening within… only for it to come to a sudden silence. Wha’ happened? Why’d it stop? Did she… kill Joe?! Tha’s it!! Without any further investigation, she kicked the door open and ran inside with a shout! “Drop th’ fox, you– ah–” Unfortunately… “Oh, gods! What…?!” Was she saw was something that defied even her most wild expectations. “This ain’ what I expected t’ find, at all…! Of all th’ things ta– un… believable!” –––––
Joseph couldn’t stop blushing or fidgeting as he sat at the edge of the white vixen’s bed, doing his best to avoid eye contact with Jessie as she stared, mostly im amusement… but, with a lingering amount of irritation. “Of all th’ things t’ walk in on… Gods. ‘n I mean, really, Joe? Wid her…?” The male fox winced, keeping his ears folded. “I… I don’t know what came over me…” he shyly whispered. “I-it was like… I was compelled to–” “Bang th’ count’s concubine?” Joseph should have been mad at that comment… That was a pretty mean thing to say about the girl. But, instead, he brought his hands over his face and just emitted a long, pitiful wail of embarrassed confusion. He really couldn’t find the words he was looking for. “Not only that… but, seems like she made a li’l snack’a ya, s’well!” “What…?” The fox blinked… then, he touched his neck and winced. When he withdrew his hand, he noticed a little red on his chocolate fingertips… blood red. He looked at the vixen who had hidden behind him almost immediately after hearing Jessica kick the door open… only to blush, again. Even with that little bit of red on her muzzle… she looked so sweet and shy. He couldn’t imagine that any of what had happened… actually had. But… that little smear, combined with his tender neck, combined with other things… Well, it painted a damning picture, all around.
“Well?” Jessica said with sudden sharpness. “Got anythin’ you’d like t’ say, lady?” The vixen peeked out from behind her friend only to give a silent blink. Shortly after, she turned her head up at the fox she in the newsboy cap. Joseph tilted his head in response… then, she slowly slid back behind him, hiding from the angry bat’s sight.
“I… think she’s just as confused as I am,” Joseph eventually told the bat. Honestly, he didn’t have much else to say… “Righ’, but…” Jessica gestured to them. “What, exactly, led t’ you two knockin’ boots? A-an’, put that thing‘way, fer cryin’ out loud…” He stammered, adjusting his pants and zipping them up with another blush. What a time to get nervous blood flow… “I felt, uh… compelled?” he told her for the second time. “Ah-huh…” The bat-girl could have easily made a joke, there… but, seemingly, she was feeling more irritated than amused by his lack-of-answer.
“Look, I don’t know what to tell you!” he exclaimed, causing the vixen behind him to wince. “I just… just… I heard a voice, okay? I think it said… ‘lay?’” Jessica leaned in. “‘Lay?’” “‘Lay me…?’” he reiterated. “I… I feel like that’s what I heard. Then–” “‘Play…’” “Huh?”
Joseph lifted his arm as the vixen stuck her head through. He blinked as she wrapped her arms around his middle, then blushed as she guiltlessly stared up at him. “‘Play… me…’” she said in a soft, tiny voice before finally licking her muzzle clean of the red stains. “You– I… Huh?” The vixen closed her eyes, rubbing her face against the fox’s black-cloth-covered chest. Jessica could see her black-tipped tail wagging behind them both. “I… think th’ concubine likes you,” Jessica commented with a grin. Apparently, she was feeling amused, again. However… “Not… ‘com-cube-ine.’” The vixen didn’t seem as amused by the comment. Especially the second time around.
“Well…” the bat said as she stepped into the room, causing the vixen to disappear, “if it smells like a concubine, acts like a concubine, lives in a nice room like a concubine…” Joseph scowled. He really didn’t like what Jessica was accusing the vixen of being. A second later, he blinked, his ear twitching. Without meaning to… he gave a nervous chuckle. “What? What’s funny?” Jessica asked. “She… says she doesn’t like you,” he said, gaining a hug around his chest from the otherwise-hidden vixen behind him. “Well, too bad!” spat the bat. “I wanna know why you two was fuckin’ ‘round!” “Alright, calm down, Jess…” Joseph noticed… “You’re scaring her.” Jessica narrowed her eyes before giving a grunt.
“Anyway… what I think happened was–” He paused, his ears flicking a little more. Jessica could barely see a little, black nose wiggling near his right ear and had to assume the vixen was feeding him more information. “Somethin’ you’d like t’ share with th’ rest’a th’ class, missy?” The nose disappeared almost as soon as she’d spoken… as did the arms. A second later… the full figure of the snow-white vixen could be seen sliding out from behind Joseph, fully dressed in her shiny, web-like gown… and, to the fox’s thinking… looking rather lovely.
“Don’t like you…” she whispered to Jessica as she cuddled against Joseph, hugging his side. “Mean…” “Mean? Me?” The bat-girl chuckled. “You hearin’ this, Joe?” “Well, you did kick her door in and you were shouting…” he commented as he gently hugged the vixen – something she appreciated… but, the other fem didn’t. “Dun encourage her!” she yelled, causing the vixen to wince. “Loud…” “Shove it!”
“Never play…” the younger-sounding girl huffed before nuzzling Joseph. “Mr. Joseph played… Had fun…” Jessica snorted. “Yea’, I bet…” “Showed me… new game. Tiring… Scary… Exciting… Fun…” “I… I… I didn’t mean to!” Joseph suddenly blurted out. “I swear, I heard ‘lay!’” “‘Play,’” the vixen corrected, again. “Said ‘play…’ We played… Happy…” He blushed a little as the girl sat up and kissed his cheek. When he looked her way… she still wore a largely-neutral expression. Somehow, though… he knew she’d meant what she said. “Yea’, good fer you. Le’s go, Joe.”
Jessica took a step forward, reaching out to grab Joseph’s arm… only to stop in her tracks. The vixen was suddenly looking right at her. “Don’t like you… Never play…” she repeated from earlier. “Not… Mr. Joseph.” The bat-girl gave a sharp blink. “Come again?” “Leave.” “Uuuhh…” Joseph’s ears fell. “H-hang on, now…” “‘scuse me? I ain’ gonna take orders from you, missy!” “‘A– Ana…’” “‘Ana?’” Joseph repeated. His ears flicked as the vixen quietly cleared her throat. “‘Diana,’” she tried again. “Name… ‘Diana Grey.’” “No one cares,” Jessica snorted. “I care…” she heard the fox quietly mumble as he looked away.
“Joe, c’mon. Le’s leave th’ Count’s concubine ‘n–” “Not… ‘com-cube-ine,’” Diana repeated from earlier. “Whatever ya are,” Jessica said in a raised voice, “leggo my pal! We’re leavin’!” “You leave.” She sharply blinked. Her expression hadn’t changed… but, Diana was looking at her kind of strangely… “Leave? Me?” she questioned. When Diana gave a nod, she just laughed. “Not without Josey! Ain’ that righ’, Joe?” For whatever reason… Joseph stayed silent. “‘course not! Now, c’mon!” “Mr. Joseph… stays.” “What?” Diana practically looked thought Jessica… then, she narrowed her eyes and repeated… “Mr. Joseph… stays…!” “Yeah, I heard… you… want Mr… Joseph… to stay?” “Yes,” the vixen said before squeezing her new friend. “Leave. Meanie.” “I… sh-should leave?” Jessica asked in an odd voice. “I… I’m a… meanie?” “Never play… Always mean… Call me ‘com-cube-ine…’” Diana murmured into Joseph’s side. “Mr. Joseph better… Love Mr. Joseph…” “Mr. Joseph… is better…” the bat-girl repeated, sounding out-of-character… “‘Mr. Joseph’ is… really confused, right now,” the golden-furred fox said as he looked between the adoring vixen and the dazed bat. “Diana, what are you…”
“Dumb bat… leave…” she whispered. “Never come back…” “Uh… wait, no.” “Mr. Joseph stay…” the vixen murmured with another affectionate nuzzle. “Best friend… Play with… Teach… new games…” “Diana, h-hold on…” “Love Mr. Joseph…” she cooed. A moment later, she closed her eyes and slid down, resting her head in his lap. “Love me back… Please…”
Joseph had rarely felt as confused as he did, then. The little, white vixen sounded so sad… Did she think he loved her… but, suddenly changed his mind? He gave a little sigh before gently stroking the girl’s head. “I… have to go home, Diana.” She quickly turned, looking right up at Joseph. “Nooooo…” Even with her fixed expression… that whimpering tone absolutely broke his heart. “It’s okay, Diana!” he assured her. “I’ll come back, soon. I prom–” “You will…?!”
All-of-a-sudden, Diana leaped up from laying down and sat on her knees. Her hands came to rest under her chin and her tail couldn’t seem to stop wagging. Most importantly… Joseph noticed her eyes. For the first time since they’d met… she looked hopeful. Happy, even! He almost believed she might even give him a big, bright smile! All the had to say was… “I will.”
Jessica rapidly blinked her eyes before rubbing her face. There was an annoying noise in her ears… one that she recognized as fox chitters. When she finally had a clear look at what was going on… she didn’t know whether to be angry… or upset. “N– no…” From what she could tell, the vixen had pinned her best friend to the bed and was in the process of smothering him with affection and… he was reveling in it! Had he fallen prey to her hypnotic spell, again…? Or… was that the start of something more… something upsetting…?
“J-Joseph… no…” she called with genuine worry, reaching out to the fox. “It can’t be…!” Diana stopped nuzzling and kissing her laughing friend to look over at the bat. A second later, she defensively curled her arms around his shoulders and shot a stony look Jessica’s way. “Ya d’cided t’ stay here… wid her…! I-I can see it in yer eyes!” “I…” Joseph started to say. However, when Diana cuddled into and nuzzled him… “W-well, then.” That was all the bat needed for a conviction.
Both foxes gave a blink… All-at-once, Jessica straightened up, adjusted the collar of her sweater, took a deep breath, then cleared her throat. They leaned up, paying attention as the bat-girl said a few choice words…
“Fuck ya both. I’m out. Peace!”
With those parting words, Jessica calmly walked out of the room, closing the slightly-damaged door behind her. A moment later, Joseph and Diana looked at each other… “Mad…” Diana whispered. “Extremely,” was Joseph’s reply. There was a bit of hesitation, but Diana eventually whispered… “Like her?” “She’s… a good friend,” the fox said with a nod. “Like I want us to be.” When Joseph gave her a little nuzzle, she gave him the biggest hug he’d ever gotten from someone her size! But, then… “Come back… soon… Miss you…” She let him go and mysteriously vanished without so much as a “goodbye.” –––––
“Stupid…! Asshole…! Fucking…! Wasted…! My time…!” Outside of the manor, Jessica was having a bit of a field day with Joseph’s car, using the front bumper as a melee weapon and slamming it against the hood, when… “Hey, Je– oh, my car…!!” A piercing shriek caught her attention, causing her to drop the bumper with a clatter.
“J-Joe!!” Jessica shouted in surprise. “Uh… I can explain!” “What the fuck did you do to my car?!” “I– uh– yah– beh–” the bat stammered. After watching Joseph closely examine the damage for a few moments, she cleared her throat and cockily asked, “S-so, Madam Grey let’cha off th’ leash t’ say ‘g’bye,’ huh?” “Jessica, you… you goddamned bat-head!” She winced, fully expecting him to punch her in the face as he ran over. However… “Ooph…!” Instead, she found herself on the receiving end of a really good hug!
“Uh… J-Joe?” she started with a confused tone. “What’s, uh…?” “I love you, you turd…” he whispered as he gently rubbed his face to her upper chest. “You’re my best friend… Don’t ever forget that…” “I– I-I love you, too?” she replied with uncertainty. “What… happened in there…?” “We’ll talk about it on the way home. Just suffice to say…” Joseph stood up, then looked toward a first-floor window. “I made a very good friend, tonight. Now, who’s driving?” “Uh, about that…” She rubbed her foot against the ground before confessing… “I… may have put a fist through yer engine block…?” –––––
The echoing shout of “You what?!” drew the attention of a bright-eyed girl. She watched from the roof of the house as the golden fox made every attempt to pummel the black bat girl who absorbed his blows while nervously laughing. Clearly, they had some issues to work out! Still… the girl hummed a little tune, rocking back-and-forth as she watched, her plush tail wagging and pointy ears perked. All-the-while, she had the sweetest sort of smile on her face. After all… she’d made a new friend, that night… one that she was sure she’d see, again! “Can’t wait…!” she excitedly whispered. “More games… More hugs… More fun…!”
