#opening a comic with your hero beating on 3 innocent people because she's bored is certainly a choice#borderlands#borderlands spoilers#i was looking forward to this miniseries as a chance to give Amara some more character development#because I think she COULD be really interesting. and there's so much to explore with her relationship to sirenhood and her powers#how she used them to escape poverty and how she grapples with-#-such destructive magic that BL3 implies may be physically consuming her (the tattoos starting to grow and spread over her entire body)#like fine if she's just a huge jerk that's cool! i like jerkish women! let her be in it only for the fame & not for actually helping people#but I'd like to know more about her than Just that...#granted we're only 1 issue in but. it seems this is gonna be more action than character study#also why the hell does nobody know who she is?? not only was she in movies but she killed the Calypsos?? opened multiple Vaults?? like#people know TYPHON DELEON but not her??#rrrghhhhh#(i will still be reading the whole miniseries anyway lol)
