this fic had steve in physical therapy after the end of catws but then sam thinks he should've healed fast enough after siberia to rescue them from the raft with more immediacy? make it make sense
#i was like really surprised bc obvs catws was probably the closest call we ever saw for steve#but have never seen someone have him do more for his recovery than the standard healing time whatever it may be#but yeah now i'm like?? i mean bucky definitely would've been worse off after siberia plus his healing presumably isn't as efficient#but like damn sam is blaming him and it kinda feels like that fandom narrative bleeding through#when steve literally tells sam in both cap movies on more than one occasion that he does not have to do this stuff#it's weird to act like sam is coerced into anything rather than making his own choices#not to mention like there is behavior i don't like primarily how sam talks to/about bucky in cacw#it's played off like it's supposed to be funny but it's not#but he never blames steve for shit like the closest you get is 'the people who shoot at you usually wind up shooting at me'#but again sam COULD step back if he doesn't want to take the risk and steve gives him outs that he does not take like!#sam is an adult capable of making his own decisions kjsdfkjs
