Wanting to interact with my mutuals more, so tell me: LEAST favorite moments in Legend of Drizzt?
owo, hello!
you know, as much as i love complaining about these books, i can't really think of all that many concrete moments that i didn't like
i shall try to complain about stuff anyway, but it'll have to be a bit more general
(i hope you don't mind genuine complaining, because i couldn't really think of all that many like funny bad scenes)
1) honestly literally any scene that dwarves appear in. they're just so gross and over the top violent
2) all of the incest and sexual assault. there's so much. why is there so much
3) any flirting between drizzt and catti-brie (at least early on, it's gotten better with time). it was just so weird and uncomfortable, and you met this girl when she was 11, please stop
4) when catti-brie went "the goodly goddess mielikki herself has told me that orcs and goblins are all inherently genetically evil and that we should kill all of them, especially the children and the elderly"
5) when salvatore made me read several birth scenes in a row. that one was just weird
6) in gauntlgrym when entreri thought he was about to die and kissed dahlia, when we all know that he should have kissed drizzt instead (although the rest of that scene was still good. fuckign "do you feel anything? pain? sense of impending doom?" "are you asking or hoping?")
7) some of the moments that bother me the most are actually the ones we don't see. like how exactly jarlaxle betraying entreri to the netherese went down, and more importantly, how the hell the conversation went where they decided that they can still work together after that. please, i need to see jarlaxle try to weasel himself out of that one
8) all of the moments in recent books where entreri doesn't get to speak (no i'm not biased, where did you get that idea). in starlight enclave there's a bunch of scenes where it was established that he is definitely present and then he just… doesn't do anything. i was really excited to see some interactions between him and catti-brie and jarlaxle, and i got absolutely none :(
9) when catti-brie thought that one of the aevendrow was making eyes at her, but it turned out that she was looking at zaknafein instead. another L for the queer community
ask me about the funniest moments next, i read through my live blog notes to find some of this stuff, and a lot of this series is actually more hilarious than i remember, at least according to my notes (i say this now, but watch me completely blank if you actually ask me)

No More Zero Comments Project
Hi! Here's a big masterpost for everything you need to know about this project!
The No More Zero Comments (NM0C) Project is dedicated to reducing the number of fics on AO3 with no comments. This is a multifandom community effort with very few rules which you can very easily undertake alone, but hey, why not join us?
The goal is simple: find fics with no comments, read them and leave the author a comment. If you want, you can go out and find fics on your own, but we also have a handy spreadsheet full of fics for you to browse!
You can find the spreadsheet here. There are tonnes of different fandoms to choose from. It will be updated regularly with new fics, so check back as often as you like.
Do you have a fic with zero comments? You can submit it here to be added to the spreadsheet. There is no limit to how many you can submit, and no limits on what you can submit. Any fandom, any category, any rating, no matter how old it is. Yes, even explicit fics. We aren't picky around here. You can also submit other people's fics if you wish.
All I ask is, if you submit your own fics, try and comment on some too! Balance, equality, etc.
The only real rule for submissions is no AI. This blog is vehemently anti-AI and will not accept any fics that use it.
If you read a fic from the spreadsheet, please let me know here so I can remove the fic from the spreadsheet. If you see a fic on the spreadsheet that has a comment, don't fret. I'll get around to removing it soon. Admin's timezone is GMT and I'm most active in the evenings.
Have a question? Feel free to ask!
A few more bits and pieces of information under the cut!
Who runs this blog?
That'd be me, Izak, better known as @lightningzombie! I run this blog alone for now. And yes, I did put my own fics into the spreadsheet. I put it up to a vote and people said I could!
Why did you decide to do this?
Frustration with the lack of comments on my fics and the death of comment culture in general. Bewilderment when I saw a fic that had 1200 kudos and no comments. The joy that leaving 100 comments and receiving 20+ during the Febuwhump commentfest brought me. Boredom. Many reasons!
Is there a prize/competition?
Nope! No incentives whatsoever. Just the joy of fan fiction, of commenting, and community spirit.
Will you do events?
Yes, I plan to! I'm not sure what yet, though.
"I don't know how to comment!"
Yes, you do. "I like this" is a comment. "How dare you do that to [insert blorbo here]" is a comment. "<3" is a comment. "KAJSDAKSDHJ WHYYYYY????" is a comment. "I am rapidly approaching your location" is a comment. Just be kind!
How long will it take me to get a comment?
Dunno. Some people get them within minutes, some hours, some days. Depends on many things. Be patient!
I submitted something but it hasn't been added or removed
I run this blog and the spreadsheet completely alone and manually. Any submissions will be handled as and when i have time. Be patient with me, I'll get to it!
Happy commenting! <3

Overview
Since I’ve come out of my introverted gremlin cave and started to actually work regularly on my writing as well as posting my stuff on here, I’ve decided to structure my blog a bit. Mostly to prevent people from getting absolutely lost in this chaotic mess.
I will try to keep this as updated as possible but there might be a bit of a delay between me posting new content and updating this, so please keep that in mind.
General info
My Ao3 account
My Kofi
Art commissions are open! More information here.
Tags
#lixy reports Lix' daily life in a nutshell #art nook art tag #crochet corner crochet tag #ask answered ask tag (<- might change in the future)

If you have questions about any of my projects or just want to randomly scream at me about any topic that comes to mind, my inbox is open. Bother me anytime!
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
The KHR discord server is now online! It's a general server for the fandom. If you want to join just drop me a DM and I'll send you the invite link.
KHR writing prompts
Prompts are open, just drop them in my inbox and I'll see what the nonsense generator can fabricate!
Prompt rules/intro

Dan and Vlasta
The Housekeeping AU
#the housekeeping AU #khr daniele costa #khr dave #khr valerie rebner #khr vlasta gast #khr marina costa #khr cilmi #khr yves #khr sam #khr blaze
This is me playing around in the Varia sandbox, come and join me in my weird delusions!
Witness how the Head of Varia Housekeeping (my OC) is slowly but surely driven insane by crazy Assassin bullshit, meddling assistants (aka Dave), mountains of paperwork and Mafia politics.
(Btw the concept of my Varia Housekeeping was inspired by Umei_no_Mai whose worldbuilding is absolutely Godtier. I kneel before their greatness.)
Character profiles
Chief aka Daniele
Dave
Ottavio under edit
Valerie Rebner
Yves
The Varia Housekeeping survival guide (WIP currently updating on Ao3)
When you are the overworked and underappreciated head of Varia Housekeeping who is sick and tired of cleaning up your employees’ corpses and decide to write up an instruction manual for dealing with Varia's insanity.
The Concept of Causality (WIP currently updating on Ao3)
Causality is an influence by which a cause contributes to the production of an effect, where the cause is at least partly responsible for the effect, and the effect is at least partly dependent on the cause. Even the most patient man has his limits and Dan has reached his years ago. Nobody could blame him for snapping. Really, they should thank him, he was just cleaning up their mess like usual. Now if he could just go back to his usual routine without being dragged into Mafia politics, strange mysteries or heavens forbid romance, that'd be grand thanks.
Housekeeping Snippets (WIP currently updating on Ao3)
Snippets of my Housekeeping AU starring my various OCs which I posted on tumblr. These are in non-chronological order and mostly focus on character interactions and shenanigans.
Detective Dave is on the case (complete on Ao3 but might add something later on)
Dave has never been able to resist a good mystery, so when one of his informants was suddenly murdered under suspicious circumstances, what else is he supposed to do other than immediately stick his nose into other people's business? ("Can you for once in your life not poke the sleeping dragon with a stick?" "But Chief! A murder mystery! Delivered right to my front door!" "..." "Hey, we are you going? Chief? Chief! I still need you to sign these forms! Come back!" )
This is my crossover with Myell's Killer Whale AU, so if you aren't familiar with her 'verse this story might be a bit confusing, I recommend checking her stuff out first a then coming back to this one. (Shamelessly advertising my Buddy's story again hehehehe)
Fanfic recs
I've decided to indulge myself and finally make a list some of my favourite KHR fanfics, feel free to check it out!
Fic recs
Naruto
How Uzushio was saved by drunken seal shenanigans (WIP kinda on hold)
The story of how Uzumaki Ren – explosion specialist, seal master and everyone’s favourite mad scientist – saves his village from destruction, revolutionizes the medical field, adopts a puppy, and gives his Kage an aneurism. Not necessarily in that order.
Note: I still have stuff for this story prewritten (but nothing post-worthy just yet), but since KHR has overtaken all my brain space, I’ll probably won’t work on this for a while. I’m still super attached to my mad scientist baby Ren, so there will be more content! … Just in the very far future 😅

I know you don't want to make a blog that's only the comic without all the thousands of asks you get, and you don't want to upload it all somewhere else until it's done, but could you maybe but the number of the latest issue in your description or something?
I can't check for updates regularly and am awful at remembering schedules, so the current set up makes it a bit of a nuisance to follow the story. I understand why you're opposed to other options, but having to scroll through a bunch of asks that you might not care about at all, or that might already contain spoilers just to be able to check whether or not there even was a new issue is extremely annoying and makes catching up really unappealing if you've missed several updates or even just a new one by a couple of days.
Sure, I could add the latest issue to my description, that's honestly not a bad idea.
But frankly (and this is not directed at you; it's just something I deal with a lot), all the information anyone could ever need is in my pinned post, and when people don't read it, it's not really my fault. It's not my job to be a Tumblr guide.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one is what annoys me the most, cause it's bolded and everything and I STILL get asks about it:
Tumblr media
Pinned posts are pinned for a reason. Tumblr tags are an incredibly useful feature. All the ones listed in my description I've manually added to the search tool, so you don't even have to type them in yourself.

What are your tips on running a source blog?
this is a really interesting question that i'm not even sure i can answer properly, but i will try my best! as a disclaimer, i'm most definitely not an authority on this subject, no matter how many source blogs i may run now or have run in the past, but i'll just try to describe my process creating & running a source blog. for reference for which source blogs i currently run, they are: @xmenuniverse, @batfamilycentral, @opla, @falloutprime & @ringsofpowerdaily (it's a lot, i know).
- setting the blog
now when i set the blog up, i always pick a costume theme (you may notice i used the same for several of my blogs bc it's easy & it works well with what i want). i try to personalize it as best as i can with header, icon, etc (same for the mobile theme) + create some standard pages: about, navigation, affiliates.
- launching the blog + intro post
when i'm ready to officially launch a new source blog (& after i make sure my posts will show up in the tags! i always do a little test 1st!), i post a little intro post, where i welcome ppl to the blog, explain what it is about, what tags i will be tracking if ppl want to tag me in their edits, etc. here's a reference. you can tag this post with the general fandom tags, edit tags + potential fandom related source blogs that can give you a boost. this helps introducing the blog to new ppl & gain a few followers hopefully.
- editing + creating a following
honestly this is self explanatory. the best way to gain followers is to post in the tags. for fandom blogs it's best achieved through making edits: gifsets, graphics, etc. be sure to always use the fandom edit tags + search up other source blogs related to the fandom that you may be able to tag.
- taking requests
something that i do often is ask for requests, particularly when starting a blog. it helps to engage with ppl & give you ideas if you are struggling with what to edit. this is, however, 100% optional.
- running the blog: tracked tags
now i create source blogs with one main reason in mind: to help boost the work of other fandom creators + create an archive of their work. this means that i try to reblog as many of ppl's original creations as i possible can & to do this there's always a few tags that i track & check out regularly. this is basically up to you + the free time you have. generally i track at least the blog's tag (tends to be your url or something similar) + edit & fanart tags, but you can also check general fandom tags, tho it's a lot more work. personally i play it by ear, depending on my needs.
- running the blog: setting up a queue
my goal when running a source blog is to be able to keep it updating regularly for as long as possible, so i always send posts to the queue, instead of reblogging them all right away. it also helps with not spamming your followers. something that i do do is try to prioritize edits or art in which my blog is personally tagged. this means i tend to manually go into the queue & send those post to the beginning of it if i can. this is only achievable if i'm only tagged in a few edits once in a while tho, otherwise it gets too overwhelming. for example, i simply can't do this with @ringsofpowerdaily, bc i'm tagged in far too many posts.
- running the blog: fanart
honestly this is ultimately completely optional (as is every tip in this post), but i always try to include fanart as a part of what i reblog if i can. this is not always common place with source blogs, which often tend to prioritize gifs & graphic edits, but like i mentioned, i want to help boost fandom creators to the best of my ability & fanartists are a huge backbone of fandom. tbh some of my blogs run almost exclusively on fanart (@xmenuniverse, @batfamilycentral & @opla during the hiatus) & i wouldn't be able to have them post regularly if it wasn't for it.
the problem with fanart is that it is sometimes hard to track down. ppl are not as conditioned to using a fanart tag as they are an edit tag, so the fandom fanart tags may be pretty bare & it may required you to search through the general fandom tags instead. this is up to you & completely optional & i only do it for certain blogs & depending on necessity.
- getting help
tho i currently run all my blogs alone, it's not uncommon & i've done so in the past, to have multiple members in a source blog. they may be either promoted to admin or just a regular member, but if you need help posting more original edits regularly & setting the queue up, etc, it can be helpful to have more members. you can either ask a friend you can trust or set up an application form for new members. always remember tho that once you upgrade someone to admin, you can no longer make them leave the blog if you want & they have full range to make changes on it, so only do so for ppl you feel you can trust!
- affiliates
this is not terribly important all things considered, but as part of the costume theme i use, there's always a little place for affiliates. this is nothing more than ppl you can link to on your blog & they will do so in theirs, to help promote your blogs to each other's followers. don't be afraid to apply your blog as an affiliate to other source blogs, if they have the option. the max i've got was not getting an answer, which generally means it was not accepted.
- keeping the source blog a neutral place
now this is something i personally consider incredibly important when running my source blogs: i always try to keep my personal opinions off the blog, unless it's something that i consider actually harmful. i won't post if i like or dislike something, i will do my best to reblog edits/fanart of characters, ships or media of all kind, including those i may not be a fan of. it's important to me that my blog is a welcoming place to all members of the fandom.
- tagging system
i think one of the most important things about running a source blog or any blog working as an archive is to have a functioning tagging system. this can be as simple or as detailed as you like. my tagging varies depending on the blog & the fandom. for example: @xmenuniverse & @batfamilycentral are dedictated to comics & its varied adaptations, so not only do i tag by character, post type (#gif, #graphic, #video, #still, #picspam, etc), i also tag the media type (#comic, #tv, #movie, #vg, #animated) & i try to tag each comic, movie, tv series (for example: #c: batman, #m: batman returns, etc).
for blogs like @opla, @falloutprime & @ringsofpowerdaily, since they are only dedictated to a specific tv series, my tagging system is different. i tag characters, by season (#s1, #s2, etc), by episode if possible (#1.01, #1.02), as well as post type & whether it's an edit of the show itself (#tv), the cast (#cast) or fanart (#art).
- self care
last, but most definitely not least, it is important you put yourself 1st when running a blog, ANY blog. source blogs can be a lot of work, & unfortunately sometimes ppl don't value it as much as they should. it's okay if you can't make new edits all the time, it's okay if you can't check the tags today or if you have to take a break or that request is taking too long. ppl will have to understand.
i hope this long ass post is helpful in any way & if you have any more questions, feel free to message me again! you are also free to use any of my own blogs as reference, i don't mind at all!

Getting the Most Out of WordPress Plugins: A Guide for Webmasters of All Levels
Due to its adaptability, ease of use, and extensive plugin repository, WordPress is one of the most widely used web development platforms worldwide. Whether you're creating a blog, a business website, an online store, or anything in between, WordPress Plugins are essential tools that improve your site's appearance and functionality. In this blog, we'll go over everything you need to know about WordPress plugins, including how they work, the advantages they provide, and some plugins that are essential for all kinds of websites.
What are plugins for WordPress?
WordPress Plugins, to put it simply, are pieces of software that can be added to your WordPress website to increase its capabilities. Think of them as web applications. Using plugins, you can enhance your website without having to write code or hire a developer by enhancing SEO, speeding up the site, or adding contact forms.
The official WordPress plugin directory contains over 55,000 plugins, so there is practically a plugin for every possible function. Knowing which plugins are best suited to your website and how to effectively manage them is the real challenge.
Why are plugins for WordPress so important?
The ability of WordPress Plugins to transform a basic WordPress site into a platform with a lot of features is what makes them so appealing. They are revolutionary for website owners for the following reasons:
Customization: Using plugins, you can tailor your website to meet your specific requirements. WordPress Plugins give you the tools to build exactly what you need, whether you want a sleek image gallery, advanced analytics, or a full-fledged online store.
Coding is not necessary: To utilize WordPress Plugins, you do not need to be a developer. The majority of plugins have intuitive user interfaces that make it simple for even inexperienced users to install and configure them.
Solutions That Are Economical: You can add valuable features to your website without spending a lot of money because many WordPress plugins are free or offer freemium models.
Scalability: Plugins let you add new features to your website or boost performance as it grows without having to start from scratch.
Time-Saving: Backups, security measures, and SEO optimization are just a few of the many tasks that can be automated by plugins that would otherwise take hours to carry out manually.
Types of WordPress Plugins Having an understanding of the various types of WordPress Plugins available will assist you in selecting the most suitable ones for your website. The following are some subcategories of plugins that can improve the functionality of your website:
1. SEO Plugins There are a number of SEO plugins that can help you get more visitors to your website. Yoast SEO, which shows you how to optimize your content for search engines, from meta tags to keyword density, is a popular choice.
2. Security Plugins WordPress Plugins like Word fence and i Themes Security offer protection against hackers, malware, and unauthorized login attempts. Maintaining your website's security is essential. These plugins check your website for vulnerabilities and send you regular security reports.
3. Performance Plugins Performance Plugins like W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache are necessary to ensure that your website loads quickly and smoothly. By reducing load times, caching content, and improving overall performance, they help speed up your website.
4. Plugins for eCommerce Woo Commerce is a must-have if you run an online store. It transforms your WordPress site into an eCommerce platform with shipping options, payment gateways, product listings, and more.
5. Backup Plugins It is essential to regularly back up your website to prevent data loss in the event of a crash or security breach. Updraft Plus and Backup Buddy are plugins that make automatic backups of your website and store them in safe locations so that you can restore it if necessary.
6. Plugins for Social Media Incorporating social media into your website can aid in brand development and engagement. You can easily embed social media feeds, share buttons, and social logins on your website with plugins like Social Snap and Smash Balloon.
7. Plugins for Forms Interacting with visitors often necessitates the use of contact, survey, or booking forms. On your WordPress website, creating and managing forms is made simple with plugins like WP Forms and Contact Form 7.
Instructions to Pick the Right Modules
With so many WordPress Modules to browse, it's not difficult to feel overpowered. A quick checklist to assist you in selecting the appropriate plugins for your website:
Identify Your Desires: Start by determining what features your website lacks. Do you want better SEO, more safety, or just a contact form? You can find the right plugin more quickly if you focus on your requirements.
Examine Ratings and Reviews: Verify the plugin's functionality and dependability by reading user reviews and ratings before installing it.
Check for Compatibility: Check to see if the plugin works with your theme and version of WordPress. Problems with compatibility can lead to conflicts that can break your website or cause unanticipated behavior.
Think about updates and support: Look for plugins with active support and regular updates. As WordPress evolves, this guarantees that the plugin will remain secure and functional.
Avoid Overcrowding Your Site: Although plugins are extremely useful, too many of them can slow down your website or cause conflicts. Be selective and get rid of plugins that no longer serve your needs.
The following are some essential WordPress plugins that every website owner ought to take into consideration:
SEO by Yoast: for making your content search engine friendly.
Word fence Protection: to shield your website from hackers and malware.
Updraft Plus: for your site's automatic backups.
WP Forms: to quickly develop bespoke forms for your website.
Total W3 Cache: to speed up the site by caching content and pages.
Woo Commerce: if you intend to sell items online.
Monster Insights: for tracking the performance of the website and integrating Google Analytics.

MIDNIGHT’S MINUET | Part 19 - More Than Enough
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yoongi x Fem Reader
Genre: Strangers to Enemies to Friends to ???, social media au, chef au, musician au, slow burn, fluff, implied smut, angst, slight crack, and drama.
Summary: While gallivanting around the world pursuing his love for music and architecture, Yoongi was forced to come back home when Seokjin, his older brother, asked him for help to run the family business. Having been born with a silver spoon, Yoongi longed for a bit of normalcy and independence; hence, agreeing with Seokjin’s request didn’t come without any of his own conditions— first, he’s going to oversee the hotel’s kitchen; second, he’s gonna let him live a normal life— no luxury cars, no high-rise building apartment, no special treatment. Yoongi was pleased that everything seemed to be going well with his return… until he met you, the roadblock to everything his brother has agreed to.
SERIES TAGLIST: @jayhope88 @sugakookies0613 @pinkseokchim @superrmins @belladaises @potatoandfries @cherrybubblesandvodka @sope-and-shine @juju-227592
PERMANENT TAGLIST: @highly-functioning-mitochondria @persphonesorchid @thatbangtanjagiya @jjwamaisvu @taestefully-in-luv @btsstan12 @bts-reveries @blog-name-idk @madbutgloriouspond @pamzn @wrmnssoul @ygbubs @halesandy
••••••••
Yoongi was already waiting outside of your door when you stepped out of your apartment. Dressed casually in jeans and a loose-fitting white shirt, you would think he just rolled out of bed. You did not even notice how his hair has grown over the weeks too, since you never really paid that much attention to him in the kitchen at work. But today, his hair touches his nape and it’s much more noticeable because of how the black beanie that he’s donning wore it down.
“How long have you been standing there?” you queried.
“Uh, a minute and probably 29 seconds,” he smiled shyly at you, eyes forming into crescents.
“Huh…” You smiled. “Funny. Let’s go?” You quirked your head towards the direction of the elevator.
Yoongi pressed his lips into a thin smile and stretched his arm out, like a butler leading you to walk ahead.
You stood in front of the elevator for a couple of minutes waiting awkwardly and silently. You felt like you could bore holes into the wall and the elevator plate because of how hard you were staring at it. Yoongi cleared his throat noticing the silence, “Did you know that 24 elevators at the ancient Roman Colosseum were manually operated by the force of over 200 slaves?” He stated monotonously. “Did you also know that the first elevator that had manual user control was installed in the New York Marriott?”
You looked at him studying his face, waiting for it to break into a smile. But he looked serious. Like spewing out random facts about elevators is something that he does regularly. You were almost tempted to sneakily shoot a text to your brother to ask if his friend has always been like this.
“Really?” You eyed him suspiciously. “If those are just random made-up shiz, I’m gonna be so mad at you again, Chef Min.” To your surprise, Yoongi started laughing – the kind that made his shoulders shake. “What’s so funny? Is that something you learned in culinary school?” You chuckled.
“No, I learned that on the streets, to be honest,” he nodded.
How? Why? How did he end up looking up facts about elevators?
At that moment, the elevator door pinged open and both of you stepped in. Thankfully, it was just the two of you inside the elevator so your conversation carried on.
“On the streets?”
“Yeah. Literally on the streets,” he slipped his hands in his pockets and leaned into the corner. “One time, we were in the streets of Rome with my friends and we got lost. So to pass the time, we looked up random shit on the internet,” he continued. “Try looking up, ‘elevator facts’ and it will show you the results!”
Okay, you’ll keep that in mind and check if it’s for real later!
When you reached the fifth floor, a woman came in holding a gummy and drooly baby that’s probably around six-seven months old. The baby, facing you and Yoongi while slumped over her mother’s shoulder, cooed and smiled gummily at him. Yoongi scrunched up his nose and started making silly faces at the baby. The scene before you made you giggle. You giggled. You don’t giggle. Not even in the presence of Jungkook. You’re not like that. But here goes Yoongi, cooing at this little baby for not even a full minute and you were already giggling. You gotta admit, this guy’s quite the charmer.
Both Yoongi’s and the baby’s attention are on you right now. The mother even looked back and smiled at you, urging her baby to interact with you.
“She loves strangers,” she smiled politely. “I need to teach her well as she grows up.”
You and Yoongi exchanged glances before you decided to reach out and touch the baby’s small chubby hand. “Oh do you like talking to strangers, little girl? We need to work on that, you know? You can’t go around cooing and smiling at strangers.” The baby shrieked excitedly in response, making grabby hands at you. “Oh there she goes!”
Not even a beat later, they have already reached their floor and you've found yourself alone in the elevator with Yoongi again. Not for long though, for the next ping signaled that you’re already at the lobby.
—
Yoongi decided to skip POP Cafe this time and opted to go for a drive. There’s an artisan coffee shop on top of the hill that overlooks the bright lights of the city, and that was his chosen spot for this “coffee date” with you. Contrary to what he thought, the drive was not silent nor awkward. You seemed to genuinely relax and enjoy his presence now, unlike the past few weeks. However, you never really talked about yourselves. Your conversation revolved around the people around you – not in a gossipy kind of way – but more of the affectionate kind of way. Yoongi learned that Jimin visits you during Christmas and he stays until after New Years, and that he also visits you on your birthdays. No excuses. He also told you the funny things that Jin pulls and that Jihyo might be taking after him with all the little one’s shenanigans these days. It was an easy drive. Yoongi could tell that you didn’t even notice that you’re already pulling up to your destination until he actually slipped into the parking space.
The coffee shop is small and quaint, but the garden at the back is spacious with multiple tables spread out. A low black iron fence secured the area and the view that welcomed you when Yoongi led you to your table almost knocked the air out of your lungs. The city lights are soft and beautiful, you don’t mind sitting here all night sipping coffee and nibbling on something sweet.
“Should we order? I’m gonna have to order at the counter,” Yoongi asked. “Let me order for you?”
“Sure,” you smiled. “Are you a regular here? What should we get?”
“They make the best Vietnamese coffee here, I highly recommend it.”
“Well then, I’ll have a large one over ice.”
“Do you want cakes?”
You winced and Yoongi understood what that meant.
—
You were staring at the view before you while mindlessly stirring your coffee with the straw. The sound that the glass straw makes against the ice cubes sounded nice. You heard Yoongi clear his throat. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah… I’m just… this is nice, no?”
“Yeah… I mean, the last two times we were at a coffee shop, we were ready to bite each other’s heads off.”
“Hey… First of all, you didn’t trust me. You’re such a bad judge of character!” You rolled your eyes.
“I’m sorry…” Yoongi smiled sheepishly.
“Nah, we’re cool,” you took a sip of coffee and drew in a sigh. “I’m just glad things are the way they are now.”
“Yeah, me too.”
“So… I have a question I’ve been dying to ask.” You grabbed your phone from your purse and pulled up a photo from your camera roll. “How come you did not give this to me?” You showed him the photo of the strawberry shortcake he– apparently– made for you, for your birthday. “I found this in the walk-in fridge and thought it was for a client, until Mina told me you baked it for me!”
Yoongi’s cheeks turned a few shades of pink. “Ayy, I lost confidence in my baking, I guess.”
“Are you kidding me!? It’s so good!” You gushed.
“... Jungkook has already baked you a birthday cake, so I–” Yoongi stuttered. “It’s just… I didn’t think you would like it. I got shy, I guess.”
“Min Yoongi, I loved it. You can never go wrong with fresh fruits and cake in my world.”
“Yeah?” Yoongi chuckled. “Well, I’m glad you liked it then.”
“I love that you didn’t make it too fancy, you know.”
“What do you mean fancy?” Yoongi feigned feeling offended.
“Like I didn’t hear you call okra seeds ‘okra caviar’ and meat loaf, a ‘mosaic,’” you scoffed. “You chefs are so fancy!”
“Yah…like you, pastry chefs do not have a thousand terms for cream puffs!” Yoongi teased you back. “Besides, I trained under Silver Spoon’s executive chef. He can call okra seeds anything he wants because he has three Michelin stars under his belt.”
“Okay, fair. I guess,” you giggled. Again? Damn it, YN.
“I like that.”
“You like what?” You’re confused.
“I like the sound of your laugh. I don’t hear it enough.” Yoongi pursed his lips in a thin smile while nodding, trying to get his point across. “You should let me hear it more.”
Now it’s your turn to get flustered. You felt the warmth spread across your cheeks and your neck at the sudden almost-compliment. You quickly looked around you, trying to find something that could distract you from the situation, and your eyes landed on a blonde woman, going about her business with her boyfriend (probably) sitting a few tables away from you.
“You know what would make me laugh more?” You asked cheekily.
Yoongi squinted at you, noting the mischievous glint in your eyes. “Tell me.”
“Whenever you try to wiggle away from our supermodel hotel guest!”
“Ughh.” Yoongi whined. “Yah… that’s not even funny!”
Both of you fell into fits of laughter at Jelena's expense. The poor woman was probably choking on her own spit right at that moment.
You didn’t even notice how fast the time flew by. You ended up ordering two more cups of coffee, some breadsticks, and cookies, skipping dinner entirely but not intentionally. Your evening with Yoongi was filled with stories and anecdotes, both from your personal and professional lives. You two were the exact polar opposites – how you were brought up, how you got into your respective careers, and in many more aspects. But there’s one thing you have in common that keeps you connected to each other, whether you intend to, or not – the fact that you are neighbors who enjoy playing the piano duet together.
That bond is more than enough.

re: your recent post, sorry about your machine frustrations! do you have any tips on adjusting tensions though? I feel like I'm always guessing when i adjust the tension on my machine and I'm pretty sure i'm never quite guessing right
SO! Before we start with the answer, please know that I WILL rewrite this into a useful resource. Fun story, one of my bipolar pills has this thing where I'll fall asleep and not realize it, and this happened last night and I just kept typing. I came home from a day out, and I had this all typed up and never hit post, so here we are.
Before we start, step 0 is to make absolutely sure that your machine is threaded properly. If you're not sure, check your manual. HV machines, for example, have a little divider in the tension discs, and the thread has to go on the righthand side of that divider. Righthand side, always, or your tension will be off. Make sure you're not making a little mistake like missing a guide. Machines are meant to be threaded a certain way, and messing that up will almost always really fuck your tension up.
So, first things fist, make sure that your tension works properly. There's machines out there that are really picky and will lose their shit at you if you move the tension even a little bit. This could almost always be fixed by getting the machine serviced, but depending on your service options that might not be reasonable. So, make sure that you can get a normal straight and zigzag stitch and then move your tension dial just a TINY bit down. I'm talking, like, so small that you're not even sure you moved it. If your tension is suddenly really off, you probably should stick the tension back where it was and not mess with it anymore.
Tumblr media
So most modern machines have a line or indicator about what normal tension range is. On this Janome, the numbers 3-5 are in a box, and the others are not in boxes. This means that, ideally, your normal tension is around four. If you need to move the dial, it will almost always be in the 3-5 range. This means all normal techniques should be expected to be in that range
If you regularly need to move your tension out of that range, or if your base range isn't in that at all, you probably need to fix your bobbin tension. Also, if when you sew, the tension is balanced, but your fabric still puckers, that's generally a sign that the bobbin tension is too tight. If your machine is balancing at a number lower than the middle of the normal range, turn your bobbin tensioner screw to be tighter. Flip those instructions if the machine is balancing at a tension too high. You should not turn the screw more than about 1/8 of a turn at a time. It's sensitive, and bobbin tension is harder to fix than top. This might also be a thing where your machine is a delicate flower that will only balance in a very small range of tension and you shouldn't mess with this.
Speaking of which, know what balanced tension looks like. There's a million resources about tension, including some on this blog. IDK where. Everyone who says it should look identical on top and bottom is full of shit. Good straight stitch tension ill usually be a little tighter ont he bottomthant he top. we have a lot of peopl come in complaining that their tension is off ubt it's actually perfect. there's a reason topstiching happens on the top.
Once stuff is where it should be, then you just need to keep your tension within that marked area. You can adjust it up and down as you do things. Some's techniqe specific. zigzags and topstitching will be prettier if you bring the tension down a bit. stretch stitch es stretch better when the tension is lower. Some you'll just sew an inch and check what it looks like. YOu'll find trends like needing lower tension on thicker fabric and things. It's just a part of it, like changing stitch length for different fabric.

Check In Tag ✔️
Tagged by @someone-elsa! Please don't eliminate Lola, let her eliminate herself ;w;
Why did you choose your url?
There is a hot, sweet beverage in my country called atole. We mostly drink it as a traditional breakfast thingy (sometimes with other food) because it is a bit heavy, yummy and fulling (?). People call me Nat for short (my name is Natalia) and one friend at my university thought it was funny to call me N-atole because he saw me drinking a chocolate atole cup :D I've been using that nickname for my internet / gaming persona since then. In this case, I added the "sims" into it lol.
Any side blogs? If you have them name them and why you have them.
I made an art side blog, but it's empty xD I tried to share my art on instagram and had a reaaally bad time, so I thought I would migrate to tumblr. I'm still scared of media so I haven't uploaded anything... and don't know if I will tbh
How long have you been on tumblr?
On tumblr? I think since 2010, but I reblogged everything I thought it was pretty. I accidentally deleted my account, so I rejoined with this simblr exactly one year ago.
Do you have a queue tag?
Nah, I draft everything and post it manually. I queue individual posts when I know I won't be online.
Why did you start your blog in the first place?
I was hoarding a lot of gameplay screenshots and wanted to put them in good use! I discovered storytelling and gameplay simblrs when I was downloading cc and thought "why not make one myself?"
Why did you choose your icon/pfp?
It's my simself doing funny paranoid faces, the same ones I regularly make irl, hehe. I've been wanting to go back to a floating head of one of my main sims, but I can't decide who...
Why did you choose your header?
I liked the poppy field gif no big reason there
What’s your post with the most notes?
Tumblr media
This one, with 212 notes! I didn't give a lot of attention to it when I posted my villain but when I saw the notes coming I was a living surprised pikachu meme
How many mutuals do you have?
I have no idea! But not that much, I think. A handful, maybe? I'm guessing like 30 (that I regularly interact with)? How do you even check that .-.
How many followers do you have?
578
How many people do you follow?
166
Have you ever made a shitpost?
Not sure what it is, so maybe I have?
How often do you use tumblr each day?
When I have free time, in the mornings and before I go to bed. When I'm tired, busy or mentally fried, I don't check social media at all. I blame it on my asocial character o3o
Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? who won?
Uh, not quite. I've got some random hateful anons I answered publicly (one racist, another... just salty?), but I didn't argue back. Just tried to laugh it off.
How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?
I read them and try to be as informed as possible, but I'm trying to keep my simblr as a clean, mental safe space for me. I don't reblog anything non-sims related into my acc, whatever it is.
Do you like tag games?
Yeah! But I answer late or forget easily about stuff ;w; I suck at them
Do you like ask games?
Also yes! I love them! But sometimes I get too paranoid and shy about sending those, too. I'm trying to change that.
Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?
Some of them definitely are, but I'm not tagging anything because that would be awkward. For me. Maybe for them too. I don't even interact with some of them because I get intimidated. Ok bye.
Do you have a crush on a mutual?
Nah :D
I'll tag @reality-refuge, @ambrosiaicecreem, @pixel-bloom, @ashubii, @dynastiasimss, @goldoradove and @daisydezem!

Stars and their Distance
Daiya no Ace misawa FWB AU, 1/10 chapters
Miyuki Kazuya, a depressed, workaholic catcher in the NPB, and Sawamura Eijun, a frustrated influencer who just got dumped, are both looking for temporary distraction. The casual, no-strings-attached friends with benefits thing they stumble into is exactly that.
Well, it would be if either of them knew how to do casual.
[Read on AO3.]
Chapter 1: Spinning
Excerpt from “Ace of Hearts: a blog about when love comes outta left field!; Q&A: Bad Break-Up Blues”
“[…] Think of relationships like this. You’re a pitcher on the mound and there’s a line up of batters waiting to knock your ball outta the park. These are your dating prospects. When you’ve gotten hurt pitching before—tore a tendon, drilled the batter, balked, whatever it was—you might not wanna pitch again, right? But the only surefire way to lose the game is to not throw the ball at all.
“You might be thinking, ‘But Eijun, if the batter hits a home run off your pitch, aren’t you losing the game?’ Well, if you think the point of the game is to win, sure. But to me, the point of baseball isn’t victory. It’s playing the best game you can with the best players you can. The same can be said for love. Some batters will foul out early, and some runners will never make it all the way home. But when you make that connection, when that bat slams the ball out of the park and the whole field feels the electric rush of a phenomenal play that you helped make—isn’t that a beautiful moment to chase after? Isn’t that feeling worth the risk that comes with love?
“So no matter how unlikely a batter steps up to your plate—and there will be batters you didn’t anticipate—throw the pitch! I promise, every strikeout and home run just makes you a better pitcher and brings you a step closer to a beautiful game. […]”
***
“Did you have to move right after the end of the season?” Kuramochi wiped off the sweat from his face with the bottom of his blue shirt. The whole thing was already drenched dark, consistently doused with water the whole day through as Kuramochi drained bottles over his head to beat back the unseasonably hot September day. “Take a fucking break first, Miyuki.”
Kazuya spat out a handful of screws. The bitter, metallic aftertaste clung to his mouth. “Why delay?” he said, tossing the instruction manual for his shelf to the side in frustration. It skittered across the hardwood floor and into Chris’ calf.
Chris plucked the booklet up and thumbed through the pages of mildly helpful pictograms, eyeing them warily against Kazuya’s clear lack of progress. “Yeah, Miyuki. Why delay?”
Kazuya shot Chris a sour look and flopped back onto the ground with a groan, defeated. “Not like we’re busy during postseason this year.”
They sighed in unison, united in the bitterness of loss.
At least Chris’ team had been only one out from the Climax Series. The Swallows hadn’t come close, and even though it was expected from a rebuild year, the loss still rankled. Small mercies, though: Kazuya could rub in the fact that the Swallows hadn’t been last place in their league unlike the Mariners.
Suck it, Kuramochi. He’d take his victories where he could.
Kazuya stuck his hand into the air, spreading his fingers wide as the overhead lights filtered between them. “Anyway. Moving is work, and you all banned me from working for the next four months. So really, I’m being responsible here.” His hand flopped down next to him with a hard thunk.
Kuramochi trudged over, heavy steps echoing through the empty apartment, until his head popped into Kazuya’s vision, arms crossed and scowl fierce. “If you wanna try to fight this again, just give me a fucking reason to pin you into a headlock until you’re crying for mercy.”
Kazuya grabbed at his ankle, rolling onto his stomach for a second swipe as Kuramochi danced out of reach.
“You can’t pull a fast one on the cheet—AH!”
His ankles caught the edge of the shelf boards, knocking Kuramochi onto his ass. The wooden slats scraped across each other as they slid out of their neat stacks, thumping and scratching the floor until they were criss-crossed between Kazuya cackling into the floor on his stomach and Kuramochi, shocked and sprawled across the debris.
“Fucking build your furniture, Miyuki!” He cradled his foot in his hands, holding it up to inspect as he twisted it every which way. “We’re not doing the same thing as last time, when it took you a full year to finally put all your shit together.”
The weight of apathy slid back into Kazuya’s limbs, edging out the laughter that had given him a moment of relief. “What if I just didn’t?”
“Is that what you want?” Chris replied evenly.
He lolled his head towards Chris. Despite the heat, Chris had spent all day in a black turtleneck, never once hinting he was even mildly uncomfortable even at the peak of the day’s heat, lugging in heavy boxes from the sun-warmed streets. Now sitting on the floor among bubble wrap and crumpled paper, legs kicked out in front of him and waves of brown bangs framing his face, he still looked as wholly put together as ever.
Even when Kazuya knew beyond a doubt Chris was the epitome of keeping a stone face even when he was going through the worst of it, he still couldn’t help but be jealous.
Kazuya went back to staring at the unfamiliar gray tiles on his new ceiling. “It would be pretty funny to leave my apartment unfurnished to spite Kuramochi.”
“Finish the shelf.” Chris tossed the manual back.
“Kominato’s the one who left the task half-done,” Kazuya said, closing his eyes, overwhelmed in a sudden wash of fury and helplessness.
He opened his eyes to see Kuramochi and Chris hovering above him again. Both their brows were furrowed, Kuramochi’s fist clenched at his collar, Chris frowning mildly.
“I’m fine,” Kazuya said brusquely.
They glanced at each other, then back at Kazuya.
He sat up, forcing the other two to reel back to avoid knocking their heads together. “I’m 27, not 7,” he said, testily. “I don’t need to be put under a watch, I’m a grown ass adult.”
“We aren’t gonna—we can’t sit to the side and watch you nearly kill yourself from overwork again this off-season.”
“Don’t exaggerate—“
“You said you had it together last year, but you didn’t. So you’re getting strict rules this year,” Kuramochi tugged at his hair, a frustrated sneer on his face. “The Swallows and your agent both know not to let you pile on more than your bare minimum until preseason. And the rest of us are going to check on you regularly because we care about your health, even when you don’t. Got it?”
“It’s not overwork,” he said, falling into the same argument that had been chipping away at him for a year now.
“Then what is it?”
The only coping mechanism that works. The only way I can pretend to feel anything off the diamond. The only thing that makes me tired enough to sleep at night without baseball 24/7.
He settled on: “It’s just work. Making a living, some might say.”
“Hard to do that when you’re stuck in a hospital bed.”
“That won’t happen again. I was just stressed and tired and a bad day caught me off guard.”
“Yeah, it won’t again because we’re gonna help make sure the off-season doesn’t wreck you again after a long history of hiding your fucking problems until they explode.”
“At least you can’t take conditioning away from me.”
“Follow the plan your trainers set for you.” Chris’ voice cut into Kazuya’s stubbornness. “Please don’t joke about this with me.”
After a moment, Kazuya nodded his head, brusque.
Kuramochi rubbed the back of his neck, trying to break the awkward air that had sprung up between them. “Isn’t exercise supposed to help depressed people? Boost your serotonin up or some shit like that?”
“Just my luck it doesn’t,” Kazuya muttered. He cleared his throat. “Can we go back to harassing me about how bad I am at unpacking?”
“We wouldn’t harass you if you just did it.” Kuramochi stood back up and kicked at a box as he went back to sweeping the floors. “Unpack before the season starts up again. You have nearly five months. If you’re feeling feisty, try decorating your apartment, too.”
“My entire personality is baseball. I don’t care about interior design. Or anything else, for that matter.”
“You used to. Pick up your old hobbies. Bring out that telescope you had at back at Waseda. Read a memoir. All the shit you can’t do during the season, drag ‘em out into the open again.”
The wrong answer, he knew, was to reiterate that he didn’t care about any of that anymore. Seriously. “You two are busy-bodies.”
Chris handed him the power drill then returned to the pile of securely wrapped glass kitchenware. “It’s called friendship,” he said, bubble wrap crinkling.
“This is ridiculous.”
“Just try, Miyuki. Please.”
“Sure,” he said, flippantly, knowing the lie didn’t pass unnoticed from the sag in Kuramochi’s shoulders. He thumbed through the instructions, pushing aside the guilt welling into his throat. Kazuya needed this conversation to be over. “Chris-senpai, where’d you put the drill bits?”

“Hjnhbgfgvbhnjmknjbhgvfdbghnjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj” wasn’t the most eloquent start to Eijun’s next blog post. Of course, Eijun normally didn’t start his articles by rolling his face across the keyboard in frustration, but considering how little he’d written in the past week, this was as good a draft as any.
Eijun’s eyes flung open as the laptop shifted from under his face, tipping his head off to thunk into the table. He rubbed at his forehead, and blinked up to find Harucchi tapping delicately at the keyboard while the other hand balanced the device in the air. “Eijun-kun,” said Harucchi, peering from around the screen, “not your finest work.”
Eijun sat up and scowled, the lines of his face scrunching against the keyboard indents on his skin. “What would you know about it?”
“I’ve been editing your posts for years,” Harucchi said. He settled the laptop in front of Eijun, then settled into the chair across from him. “If you’d like me to stop now, I can happily use that time in other ways.”
The dishes rattled when Eijun slammed his palm onto the table. “You’re not allowed to ditch me like that!”
Harucchi raised his eyebrows. “Says the man who’s been avoiding me.”
A double blow of panic and then confusion struck him. He frowned and swiveled his head around. Snaking line at the counter, coffee scenting the air, a low hum of incomprehensible chatter: this was definitely the coffee shop he’d just discovered this morning and came to by himself and didn’t tell Harucchi about. “How’d you find me?”
“You should stop posting your location on Instagram if you don’t want to be found,” he offered with a gentle smile.
“You don’t live anywhere near here.”
“A teammate just moved to the neighborhood. It was pure luck I happened to be there while you happened to be here.” He ran his fingers against the edge of a plate by Eijun’s elbow, empty of all but crumbs. “It’s a cute shop. New haunt for you?” he asked, a touch too casual.
Eijun averted his eyes, lips pinching. He knew what Harucchi was really asking. “I’m fine.”
“I didn’t ask that.”
“I’m doing fine,” Eijun insisted. “Really.”
“I’m glad you stopped feeling obligated to go to the other cafe.” His voice was barely loud enough to reach Eijun, covered by the clatter and call of employees, and a particularly rowdy group of seven students packed at a four person table next to his little corner.
“The old place got too many baristas who sucked,” Eijun lied. As if Harucchi didn’t already know that he’d only just shoved his pride aside enough to accept he’d lost his favorite coffee shop to the break-up. “Had to find a new one.”
Harucchi pried open the plastic lid to his coffee, blowing at the steam rising from the cup. He drew in a long, slow slip of his drink. “Maybe a fresh start here means a fresh start with the blog. Talk about grinding new beans, or something…?” Eijun blanched, well aware that Harucchi’s innocent reputation was a front.
“If you think I am going to subject my loyal followers to love advice using bean grinding as the topic—”
“You’ll have to excuse me if you had an idea in mind already. I’d thought from the keysmashing that you hadn’t.” Eijun aimed a kick at his shin under the table. Without looking, Harucchi crossed his legs, as if he’d planned on it for that exact moment all along instead of the attempt to dodge Eijun’s ire that it really was. “Is there a reason you can’t find an appropriate topic for your next post?”
Eijun cheeks puffed out, determined for two whole seconds not to tell Harucchi the truth, before blurting out, “I promised Wakana we’d wait a few months before officially announcing we broke up.” And yep—there it was, that classic Kominato passively skeptical look that circled past nonjudgmental so thoroughly that it ended up aggressively intimidating. The one that meant Harucchi was seconds away from bulldozing through all the nonsense he was seeing ahead of him. Eijun lived in terror of it. “She wanted to give us a chance to recuperate in private first,” he muttered, defensive.
“Eijun-kun.”
“I know, I know! A smart idea for people like Wakana, but I don’t…like wallowing like this. I can’t keep sitting here thinking about how much she doesn’t want me, and it’s all I want to write about. But I can’t post any of it. It’s been nearly two months, and I haven’t moved on. I’ve just gotten madder.”
“You two didn’t consider posting a small announcement saying you were over but you needed time? Space?”
“I couldn’t ask her.” Eijun subsided, spinning his teacup in its saucer with a single finger hooked through its tiny handle. “I owe her, Harucchi. The only reason I started lifestyle and romance blogging was because Wakana got me into it. I made my start on her profiles with her followers. Talking about her now? Why we broke up? Even if I want to, it sounds like betraying her. I don’t want anyone thinking I’m trying to talk shit about her, when we’re both in the same influencer circles.”
Harucchi tilted his head, and when Eijun didn't continue on after several seconds, he prompted, “There’s more.”
So much for the dumb jock stereotype.
“If I write it, then I feel like I’m giving up on her. On us ever being something together, again.” He crossed his arms onto the table, elbows shoving the dishes and laptop uncomfortably close to the edge of the small table, and laid his head on his forearms. He closed his eyes, and said quietly into his chest, “I still love her, Harucchi.”
“I know, Eijun-kun.” A warm hand squeezed his elbow. Between their silence, the monstrous table of college students packed up and left, and suddenly the shop settled into a calm Eijun needed.
He poked his head up from the comfort of his arms to stare at Harucchi. He was steadily sipping his coffee, one hand resting on Eijun’s elbow. His pink hair had pulled out of the bun at his nape and fell into windswept wisps framing his face and neck. He’d long since stopped wearing Ryou-san’s hand-me-downs in favor of softer, luxe sweaters and slacks, the only true expense he indulged in despite his lucrative status as a rising star for the Swallows.
Altogether, he looked gentle, dangerously so. On the diamond or off, it was easy to be lulled into a sense of security right before he whacked an unpleasant truth out of the park.
Harucchi pulled his hand back and apologized with a glance. Eijun wasn’t sure why…until he started speaking. “You make a living off of posting about your life—and romance, in particular. You’ve never hidden your past relationship troubles from your followers, however difficult it was to express. It’s part of your brand at this point.”
Eijun’s mouth twisted as he sat up. “Wakana isn’t a branding tool.”
“No one is saying that,” Harucchi said patiently. “What I am saying: you underestimate how much of your own work goes into your success. Aotsuki was certainly helpful—but your personality and your words are why people stay. People trust you.
“You’re good at what you do, Eijun-kun. You’re honest and kind in your observations, to yourself, to your partners, to strangers, despite how difficult and personal love is. When the time comes, whatever you post about Aotsuki will be the same.” Harucchi shrugged. “Also, I’ll edit out anything that makes you sound insensitive.”
Eijun let out a heavy sigh, stretching his arms into the air and shaking off the melancholy. “Thanks for not letting me fall on my own sword.”
“What are friends for?”
For all that he felt better, though, Eijun was still stuck staring at a blinking cursor at the end of a line of drivel. “That still doesn’t solve my problem. I don’t have a clue what to post next. The schedule I followed is trash now without personal updates of me and Wakana. I haven’t been able to binge any of the manga or shows I wanted to review, either. All I got left is the advice column, but if I keep that up with nothing else, I might as well change the blog name to Dear Eijun instead of Ace of Hearts.”
Harucchi stared at him, calculating out something as he took in Sawamura’s restlessness. “You don’t have to keep writing about romance.”
“That’s what I started the blog for.”
“But that’s not why you started writing and recording back at Seidou. You’ve had success with your baseball analysis and tutorials on YouTube and Instagram. You could even say you’ve been neglecting them to chase after romance.”
Eijun groaned, loud and theatrical enough to make the meek businessman behind him jump in shock. “Maybe if I got as much engagement talking about how stupid the idea of celebrity athletes are when it’s a team sport—”
“See?” he cut in, tilting his cup toward Eijun. “You already have a topic to post about.”
“Baseball is my hobby, not my job,” he said mulishly, jaw jutting out. “My dad wrecked his love of music that way! I’m not gonna risk hating baseball after he spent my whole life yelling at me not to ‘monetize my interests’ while holding me in a headlock. That’s asking for the biggest lecture of my life!”
“You can always stop if it’s not the direction you want to go. You’re not getting married to the idea.”
“Don’t bring up marriage, I just got dumped!”
Harucchi pressed his lips together in a thin line. “Fine, don’t think of it as a marriage,” he said. From Harucchi, the sliver of impatience he let free was the equivalent of hauling Eijun by the collar and shaking him down. “Flirt with baseball. Go on a few dates. Get a benefit or two out of it. Does the metaphor suffice now?”
Eijun gasped. “Harucchi! You’re too innocent for that sort of talk!”
“My brother is Kominato Ryousuke, and my best friend writes a blog about romance and sex that I edit,” he said, even as his quiet voice went squeaky and his face mottled bright red from embarrassment.
“Maybe I should change my blog to save you the embarrassment.”
“I also admit I have a request of you,” Harucchi said sheepishly, pressing a hand to his cheek. “The Swallows want me to get more heavily involved in PR this offseason, and I could use your help figuring out what I’d actually like to do instead of going along with every idea they propose. I’ve seen what they make the other players do, and I’m not interested in doing the exact type of promo they’ve done the past few seasons.”
Eijun crossed his arms and leaned back, chin tilting up defensively. “If you’re trying to convince me by pretending you need help—”
Harucchi shook his head, bangs bouncing across his forehead. “I hope you’ll find value or inspiration in it, too, but I was going to ask, regardless.” He grimaced into his cup. “The players who carry most of the strain of Swallows marketing are…otherwise occupied this offseason. I was volunteered to step in; management’s been wanting me to raise my profile for a while. I can’t really say no, so I may as well make the most of it.”
“I don’t want a pity job.”
“Please, be reasonable.” Harucchi smiled the shy, dreamy, polished smile the Swallows had been trying to splash across their advertising since he joined the team. “It’s a pity favor.”
Eijun snorted, relaxing into his chair again. “Fine,” he said, pulling open a clean document on his laptop. “Let’s brainstorm.”

Crafting a Reading List
This post is for 102 folks who are struggling to progress beyond the beginner's material but aren't quite intermediate yet. This is where I got stuck - for years. It's an incredibly frustrating spot to be in and where I see a lot of practitioners either stagnant or drop off entirely. What ultimately got me through to intermediate was being in communities with folks who were more experienced who could recommend resources when I managed articulate the kind of questions I was having.
What I desperately wanted though was a syllabus or a reading list. The trick was that once you're beyond the basics, it's kind of a free for all. Pretty much everything comes down to personal interests.
This is where Tumblr really has a tendency to trap folks. All that energy folks had for learning in the beginning tends to get directed toward playing out an aesthetic. I think this is in part because it's something to do, you feel like you're in motion even when you're not.
Or maybe you're like me. You've got one skill you are incredibly competent in but when it comes to the rest? You've got a foundation full of holes. That's why I decided it was high time I admitted that even a decade into this practice, I needed to begin again.
So I decided to write through my process of selecting a reading list for myself I want to use over the next year or so in the hopes that it would help other people design their own.
Take Advantage of Free Materials and Read Widely
I absolutely recommend taking advantage of what people are putting out for free to read and listen widely. One way I'm hoping to help with that is I'm going to begin to put out monthly or quarterly posts about people I'm learning from. It's something we've struggled with as a community. But do the best you can. If there are "big" people or groups in the fields you're interested in, be listening to their stuff regularly. Ask friends who they would recommend for resources for what you're trying to expand in. Just try to consume a wide variety of people instead of sticking with the same few. You'll begin to see commonalities in what these folks recommend to read even if they're in totally different parts of the internet. That's a good indication that those titles are worth checking out.
Also many authors who are recommended do podcast interviews and write there own blogs, so start with their free materials to see if they are speaking to the areas you're trying to improve in.
Determining Goals < Targeting Skills
Beginners materials leave a lot to be desired, lets be honest. And one way they tend to let readers down is that they spend more on describing what can be done than outlining how to do it. That or they focus on the most basic practices without a scaffolded plan for leveling up. This tendency can become a mindset; it can lead you thinking of books in terms of things you want to accomplish rather than skills that can be honed.
So when you're looking to develop your reading list, it's not a bad idea to look at what you might want to accomplish but you absolutely will have better luck finding texts if you can think of what skill underlies that. For example, I wanted to be able to include more astrologically minded materials as part of my consultations. So thanks to reading widely, I'd begun to take note of texts that were considered classics or were recommended by people I liked often. All of the astrology texts on my list come from people I'd been listening to or read for a while. For many, it was clear to me that they were using the skills they learned from these texts so it was a good indication I would be able to gain them that way too.
My List
Core Secondary Source Texts
Hellenic Astrology by Chris Brennan
On the Heavenly Spheres by Helena Avelar and Luis Ribeiro
The Eagle and the Lark by Bernadette Brad
The Horary Textbook by John Frawley
Tarot Correspondences by T. Susan. Chang
The Art and Practice of Geomancy by John Michael Greer
Ancestral Medicine by Daniel Foor
A Modern Angelic Grimoire and A Modern Goetic Grimoire by Rufus Opus
Planetary Magic by Melita Dennings and Osborne Phillips
The Chaos Protocols by Gordon White
The Elements of Spellcrafting by Jason Miller
Protection and Reversal Magic: A Witches Defense Manual by Jason Miller
Core Primary Texts
Carmina Gadelica
The Long Lost Friend
The Greater Key of Solomon
The Greek Magical Papyri
The Orphic Hymns
The Morrigan's List of Myths
My Thought Process
I decided to zero in on 4 skills that I thought would make me a better witch - astrology, divination, spirit work, and spell work. I thought they would each roughly correspond with a quarter of the year but I found quickly that I wanted to focus on more skills than others. I already feel very comfortable with tarot but I had seen many places that having two forms of divination is ideal and decided to focus on geomancy. I wanted more for spirit work but I had difficulty finding texts I both trusted and was excited about. I also very badly wanted some trad witchcraft books to include but the secondary sources left a lot to be desired, so I decided to try to read through some primary texts during this process as well.
I also wanted to make sure these materials would be a firm basis from which to head toward any ideas I have as to where I want to go next in my journey. I'm realizing that making spirituality a full time meaningful practice that can support me will be a very slow but rewarding process so I wanted to be set up for whatever I decided to work on next. Since I worked in long term care for a few years, I have wanted to get death midwifery training for a long time. I also badly want to study medical astrology and herbalism - and possibly get certified. I also want to support my current projects where I write about shadow work and queer spirituality. So that was an important consideration as well.
Conclusion
So I hope this is helpful to someone. I know it's not as nitty gritty as I normally go but I wanted to show that I'm learning too and give a little insight in to how I go about that. Also wanted to introduce some folks to texts that they might not be aware of in case it'd further your studies.
Want to help me buy these books so I can review them for y'all? Consider joining my patreon, tipping me, or buying something from my shop.

Creating An Automated Report In Word - Principal Toolbox 9.5
How I Automated My Daily Progress Report As A Software ...
Table of ContentsAutomated Reports - Jotform'Automated Writing': Implications For Digital Communicators ...Automated Journalism – Ai Applications At New York Times ...Quill - Narrative ScienceCan You Tell The Difference Between A Robot And A Stock ...
As online marketers in 2020, there's one significant thing that we share: We're driven by information. Despite whether we're copywriters, social media supervisors, videographers, or web designers, data is key to helping us determine which jobs are successful, which methods may need more of a spending plan, and which methods we need to leave behind.
Even if you have an analytics software application that tracks a campaign's traffic, engagements, ROI, and other KPIs, you'll likely still require to take some time to arrange these numbers, evaluate them, and create a reasonable method to report on your projects to your group or customers. In the past, marketing companies and companies charged full-timers with reporting-related responsibilities. real time reports.

This is an issue that my Cleveland-based marketing company, PR 20/20, encountered a couple of years back. As part of our procedure, we produce monthly efficiency reports for each of our customers. When we produce them, we pull the information from HubSpot and Google Analytics. Then, we compose a report to describe the information to our colleagues, clients, and task stakeholders.
However, although they were assisting our customers, creating them was holding our team back. While our clients found the reports important, the procedure of pulling the data, examining it, and preparing the reports easily took five hours per customer, per month. This took our marketers far from tasks that might have been productive in the long run, such as conceptualizing new concepts and techniques that could visibly assist their customers.
Automated Reporting With R Markdown
Whenever you're trying to explore or implement a brand-new technique, you'll wish to look into the subject completely. For example, you'll want to recognize your budget and after that look into software application that suits it. You'll likewise wish to determine the advantages and disadvantages of any software you think about. This will help you better acquaint yourself with the world of AI and which tools can actually help you.
Prior to choosing that we desired to improve our reporting method, we 'd been researching AI through resources at our Marketing AI Institute. The Institute is a media company that aims to make AI more friendly for online marketers. time reports. Because we launched the business, we have actually published more than 400 short articles on AI in marketing.

2 billion. After learning about how AI had already streamlined lots of marketing-related procedures, we chose to explore how automation and expert system could help us with our clients at PR 20/20. We ended up being consumed with how smarter technology could increase earnings and lower costs. While doing so, we discovered natural language generation (NLG) innovation that wrote plain English automatically.
You've encountered NLG anytime you have actually used Gmail's Smart Compose function. Or, when you hear Amazon's Alexa react to your voice inquiries. As soon as we discovered a possibly practical NLG software, we decided to run an experiment to see if the AI technology might partly or fully automate our efficiency report writing procedure.
Dream Report For Hmi Panels - Automated Data Collection ...
Now, the next action is to browse for software that works for your company. Here are a couple of things you'll need to consider: You'll want to consider the expense of any of the software application's memberships or costs, as well as the cost to implement it. For example, you might require to contract or employ an engineer to prepare your information and take any actions to ensure the software works smoothly.
Make certain to comprehend what you'll require to do if something isn't working effectively so you do not sustain any emergency costs. As a marketer, you will not want to rely on a full-time engineer to utilize AI software application to run your reports. You'll wish to purchase software that your less tech-savvy staff member can ultimately get trained on and discover. time reports.
As you select software, you'll likewise want to locate case research studies, reviews, or user testimonials that explain how a company used the software to run reports or complete a similar activity. This will provide you an idea of if the item you're considering has a good track record or credibility in the AI software application industry.
Here are two highly-regarded examples: Domo is a data visualization and reporting tool that integrates with significant data and analytics platforms including Google Analytics. When you link these platforms, you can use a control panel to set up and generate data visualizations or reports for your customers. These visualizations include pie charts, other graphs, and word clouds.
Manual Reports Vs. Report Automation & Scheduling Tools
The platform offers guides on how to produce datasets or spreadsheets that its algorithms will recognize as well as a drag and drop guide which asks you to submit specific info such as "Monthly Budget plan." Here's a quick demo that shows Domo in action: This reporting software application permits you to generate reports or reporting control panels that your group and clients can edit and cross-collaborate on.

Aside from data visualizations, you can likewise include boxes to your control panels that reveal you scorecards that note whether you're hitting your goals or not, in addition to filters that assist you drill down on particular aspects of your task. Here's a demo explaining how small companies such as nonprofits can take advantage of the software application's dashboard reporting features: Despite which product you pick, you'll likely require to prepare your data in a manner that your software application's robotic or algorithm could quickly acknowledge and analyze - automatic report.

The software application needed structured information in columns and rows to generate text. So, first, we had to pull HubSpot and Google Analytics information into spreadsheets. Because doing this manually would take excessive time and limit the potential time conserved with automation, we utilized APIs and constructed our own algorithm using Google Apps Scripts to pull information into a Google Sheet.
We understood NLG software application would be unlikely to deal with entirely custom-made reports well. So, we developed a design template for these reports that didn't alter every month. To produce a format for each report, we determined a set of 12 common questions we were trying to address for clients monthly: Just how much traffic concerned your site, and how does that compare to the previous month? In 2015? How engaged was last month's site traffic? What were the top traffic-driving channels? Was there fluctuation in general traffic, and if so, what caused it? How did the blog site carry out last month? How engaged was blog site traffic? What were the top-performing article? Were there any modifications in blog traffic last month, and if so, what triggered them? The number of objectives or new contacts were generated last month? What were the top transforming pages? Where did objectives or brand-new contacts originate? Was there any modification in overall goals or lead volume, and if so, what was responsible? A great AI software will either permit you to develop files or even dashboards, as your reports.
04 Instant Asbestos Survey Report In Your Format - Start Software
When we 'd structured our data and developed a basic report format, we had to translate our basic report format into an NLG template. The design template was basically a completed version of an efficiency report. When the NLG software runs, this report gets copied into the NLG software application. Then rules are applied to the copy to programmatically update what's written based upon the structured data offered.

The last output might be a CSV, Word, or Google Doc file. Even if you're working with a trustworthy AI software, you'll still want to check it and fix any problems that emerge. This avoids any AI-related occurrences from happening when the tool is actively being utilized by workers or on tight deadlines.

And we ultimately perfected the process to regularly produce clear, precise automated efficiency reports. If a software application company that you work with deals a trial or discount rate for testing out their product, leverage it. This will permit you to witness first-hand if the expense of the item outweighs its advantages, or give you time to determine if there is a preferable item that you need to be utilizing - time reports.
When you do this, here are a couple of things that you'll wish to examine: The amount of time that the software is saving workers, or if there were any bugs, just how much time the software application cost. The amount of other efficient or revenue-generating tasks your group was able to get done with the extra time you had.

Sales Reporting 101: Here's Everything ...propellercrm.com
As we tracked our brand-new automated efficiency reports, we discovered that our tools took a portion of the time to produce the very same report that we took hours to create. Furthermore, the level of information in our client reports is now constant throughout all accounts. Prior to we carried out AI tools, the reports were only as strong as the account team's convenience level of analyzing marketing efficiency reports.
Study Report Writer - Synchrogenix
The only handbook part of the process now involves spot-checking the data for precision, applying some styling, and after that sending out. real-time progress reporting. What when took us five hours per report now takes 10 minutes. While the original process needed to be managed by multiple teammates, only one employee is needed for spot-checking.
Although our team has the ability to gain access to AI companies and specialists for our in-office experiments, other little service online marketers can likewise benefit from this strategy rather economically. Nevertheless, bear in mind that AI execution can take some time. For us, we required to put time into developing structured datasets, along with our Report design template so that our AI software application could read our analytics and draft reports correctly.
Complete info, faster conclusions, and much better decision-making digital-era success hinges on them (automatic reporting). However an organization with a single version of the reality, spreadsheets filled with accurate information, is still a couple of rungs brief of success. One reason: management needs easy-to-digest reports that translate the numbers. That tends to lead to cleaner interpretations and crisper decision-making.
These items drill-down into ab organization's database and auto-produce easy-to-understand, written reports from the very same information that Microsoft Excel utilizes to create graphics. Some of these relatively brand-new AI tools also known as natural language generation, or NLG, software application are variations of the exact same technology that helps major media companies produce computer-written news products.

Anna Schena, a senior item manager at Story Science, another AI-generated composing toolmaker, states that "data storytelling" indicates users do not have to discover how to evaluate spreadsheets or glean insights from long rows of control panel dials. "Easy-to-understand language and one-click cooperation features ensure that everybody in a business really comprehends the data, all the time," Schena says.
States Sharon Daniels, CEO of Arria: "NLG-driven, multi-dimensional stories are the advancement that [data-generated] visuals were years back. The big data issue was partially addressed with the development of organization intelligence dashboards," she discusses. "However while visuals paint a picture, they're not the complete image." could you stop being a bitch and just bring back the tag list? enough people want to be tagged in it from your asks, it’s easier for your followers to know when you’re updating. just shows how unappreciative of your followers you are 🙄
imagine being so entitled to the content that I willingly post for you to consume for free that you believe your convenience is worth more than the time I expend updating the tag list. Shows how unappreciative you are of the time I give to update/write regardless of the fact that I have a life outside of tumblr and that I work full time.
This is the last tag list I ever created for Intro Her. If you click on it, you can see how many people needed to be tagged - and with each update I also had more tag requests. Even now that I’ve discontinued the tag list, people are still requesting to be added to it. (This is fine, I understand not everyone will see my asks about there not being a tag list anymore and polite requests will be politely declined) However, there were already 160+ blogs needing to be tagged on that the tag list I linked - both who were able to be tagged and ones who were not able to be tagged (yes I counted). The tag system isn’t as simple as copying and pasting either due to Tumblr sucking - because copying and pasting doesn’t notify people I’ve tagged that I’ve updated - so I had to copy and paste and then manually update the tags to ensure everyone was tagged properly. That took hours of my time. Hours I’d rather be doing something else like relaxing, or speaking with my friends - or most likely sleeping.
Another reason I discontinued it was because the tag list was making me not want to write Intro Her. Because every time I got excited to write I:H, I’d remember how exhausting it was to post an update - due to long tag list - and I didn’t like that feeling. I enjoy writing. In fact, it’s my favourite hobby and one of the things I love doing the most. I didn’t like hating writing because of a tag list and therefore, I had another reason to discontinue it.
So no, I won’t bring back the tag list. While I’m incredibly appreciative of everyone who reads and gives love to Intro: Her, it takes considerably less time for readers to a) check in every two weeks - like I’ve stated countless times, that’s usually the schedule for Intro Her updates or b) follow in order to be notified of updates, than for me to continue my tag list. If you don’t want to do that, that’s fine. But do not ask me to put in hours of my time for your convenience just because you cannot be bothered to check in regularly. This is my free time, it’s not my job. No one is paying me for the time I expend writing and updating - so please do not act like you’re entitled to that time. You are not - unless, you want to start paying me.
